    Interstate 20 is now open in south Fort Worth on Tuesday morning after a major accident overnight killed two people and left one in critical condition, officials said.

    The Texas Department of Transportation posted about the crash on X shortly after 2:30 a.m. The eastbound lanes of I-20 at Trail Lake Drive were closed for several hours while the crash was being cleared.

    The highway reopened around 8:30 a.m.

    Officers were called to the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Granbury Road about 2:20 a.m. after a passerby reported an accident between a pickup truck and an SUV. A passenger was thrown from one of the vehicles and died at the scene, police said.

    Both drivers were pinned in their vehicles, and one of them also died at the scene, according to police. The second driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

    Officials haven’t released the names of the people who died. The Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the cause of the fatal crash.

    A man was shot and killed at a home in south Fort Worth on Monday and the gunman remains at large, police said.

    Fort Worth police responded to a private home in the 7400 block of Snow Ridge Drive about 2:25 p.m. Monday ., police said in a statement. Officers found a man who had been shot in the upper torso. He was transported to a nearby hospital but died while in transit, according to the statement.

    The shooter is not in custody as of Monday evening, police said, but officers believe this to be an isolated incident. There is no known threat to the community, according to the statement.

    The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the official cause and manner of death and will confirm the identity of the man pending family notification.

    Two men were stabbed and injured at a south Fort Worth party early Saturday, police said.

    Fort Worth police officers were called to the area of Minden and McClure streets due to a disturbance at one of the houses where a party was going on. A man was assaulted and ended up on the ground, where he was stabbed by the suspect, according to police.

    In a second incident at the same location, someone tried to steal another man’s chain. When the victim resisted, he was stabbed in the upper torso, police said.

    The condition of both victims is unknown, according to police. No arrests have been announced in connection with the stabbings.

    Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 36-year-old man at a south Fort Worth sports bar early Saturday.

    Officers were called to Ojos Locos Sports Cantina at 4421 S. Freeway shortly after 1 a.m. An unidentified man had shot the 36-year-old in the abdomen and leg, according to police records. His injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.

    The Gang Unit will be handling the investigation into the shooting, police said. No arrests have been announced.
