  • The Bieber Baby Is Here — And So Is the Celebrity Baby Name Industrial Complex

The Bieber Baby Is Here — And So Is the Celebrity Baby Name Industrial Complex

America’s Royal Baby is here! No, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift haven’t suddenly unveiled a secret pregnancy — our girl has been busy with the Eras Tour and trying to keep The Tortured Poets Department at number one. America’s other royal family, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, have welcomed a new addition to their family: a baby boy.

On Friday, August 23rd, Justin announced their new arrival via
the Instagram post of a lifetime: “WELCOME HOME / JACK BLUES BIEBER 🐻,” he posted alongside an image of their newborn’s foot cozied up in a blanket with Hailey’s beautifully manicured fingers. Like, I’m not crying, you’re crying.

Now I’m just waiting for Hailey’s post. While she was literally giving birth, her Instagram stories were full of promo posts for her brand
Rhode Skin. Some people may call that a social media manager, I call it girlbossing.

Her pregnancy announcement post definitely had me in tears. We all remember where we were when we heard the news about Hailey Bieber’s pregnancy. I was browsing sunscreen in a beauty store (which feels appropriate) when my friend rushed up to me, waving her phone in my face. “Hailey is pregnant,” she announced as she showed me the now-infamous video.

The vintage-style video showed Bieber’s bump in a sheer white lace dress. At first, I thought it was footage from a music video. It turns out that their lives are just naturally cinematic. The footage was from their vow renewals which took place in Hawaii, where they celebrated six years of marriage.

Why did Justin Bieber name his son Jack?

You may have noticed that, like father like son, Justin and the baby have the same initials: JB. The name Jack Blues Bieber follows the tradition of Justin’s father’s side of the family, where many of the kids are given J names. Justin’s dad’s name is Jeremy, and his half-siblings are named Jaxon and Jazmyn.

Jack is also Justin’s dad’s middle name. Hailey is no stranger to family names, as her middle name, “Rhode,” is a family name — as well as the name of her eponymous skincare brand. It’s only a matter of time before baby Jack has one of those
    initial necklaces.

    While Jack is a normal,
regular person’s name, the baby’s middle name shows that even the Biebers have given in to the celebrity-name industrial complex. It used to be rare for celebrities to give their children unique (read: borderline obnoxious) names like Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple (sooooo brat). Heck, when the Kardashian-Wests came up with North and Beyoncé announced her daughter Blue Ivy, it was still big news.

But now, every baby announcement comes with the follow-up question: what weird name will the happy couple bestow upon their offspring? Instead of looking at baby name books, celebrity parents seem to open the dictionary and point to the first name they find. Young parents like Nara Smith are infamous for this. The model and token
trad wife have children named (wait for it) Rumble Honey, Slim Easy, and Whimsy Lou.

Next to names like “Stormiiiiii,” Jack Blues is pretty normal. But it’s a sign that celeb names will always be celeb names. While the Biebers have fallen prey to the celebrity-name industrial complex, the fact they waited six years since their internet-breaking wedding in 2018 isn’t the norm.

How Hailey resisted the Hollywood Mom Machine — until now

In Hollywood years, six years is a long time to wait before having your first child. But in the real world — where the cost of living crisis makes me wonder how
anyone can afford children — having children at 27 years old, if anything, is quite young.

Seemingly all of their famous peers have children. Most of the nepo baby gang now have children of their own. And the
mothers are mothering. Kylie Jenner has two children — Stormi Webster, her 6-year-old daughter, and Aire Webster, her 2-year-old son— with rapper Travis Scott. Sofia Richie just celebrated her own 26th birthday alongside her daughter Eloise’s three-month birthday. Other peers like Keke Palmer, Gigi Hadid, and more have also become moms.

But Bieber wanted to wait. For a while, she just wanted to live in her bliss. She was a 21-year-old married to the biggest pop star in the world. Of course, she wanted time to enjoy it. Then, like the rest of us, she got a job. Except hers was as the founder of
Rhode Skin. She spent the past few years proving it was more than just another celebrity brand. With its innovative, editor-approved products and its constantly selling out stock, Rhode is a success in every way.

    So now, they have everything.

When asked about when they were planning to become parents, the Biebers have always said they wanted to wait. I’ll never forget when Justin went on
Ellen in 2020, and she, as was her style, aggressively asked him what the “hold up” was with having kids.

But with the finesse he’s known for, he sidestepped the question with the most romantic answer: “I am going to have as many as Hailey wishes to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do.” Pro-choice king.

But now it’s finally the right time. In a July interview with
W Magazine, she shared some of her pregnancy anxieties — especially as someone who has struggled with ovarian cysts. “You see so many stories — traumatic birth stories, traumatic experiences—and I know that that’s very real,” she said. But in the end, she’s excited about her pregnancy — too excited to hide it from the world. “I probably could have hid it until the end,” she said. She even hid it for six months behind her signature oversized clothing — her jacket at Coachella makes a lot of sense now. “But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

Well, now the Biebers’ lives have changed forever. Many of us “One Less Lonely Girl” hopefuls might have dreamed of the day Justin became a father with us at his side. But if it’s not me, I’m glad it’s Hailey. You better believe I played the superstar and new father’s 2010 smash hit “Baby” on repeat all weekend.

  • Quiet Luxury Has Gone Too Far: Why I Won’t Be Wearing Boat Shoes (But You Should?)

Quiet Luxury Has Gone Too Far: Why I Won’t Be Wearing Boat Shoes (But You Should?)

We’ve reached peak quiet luxury. Maybe that happened quickly, when influencers flooded the TL with that stunningly resilient trend striving to convince you that all you need to look like you stepped out of Succession was .. Zara? But now, with Stealth-Wealth and Recessioncore still topics of major interest, strange sartorial ephemera of the rich are emerging as piecemeal trends.

From tennis bracelets (and tennis, but that’s thanks to Challengers) to Van Cleef necklaces, it’s the details that become the most unlikely trends. But it’s all about how you wear them. When paired with Gen Z’s Y2K style, they become emblematic. When paired with a Zara set on a West Village girl, she’s taking it seriously.

But you’re not real if you’ve seen what I’ve seen: an army of Prep school teenagers carelessly tossing on jewelry that costs as much as their private school tuition merely to accessorize their school uniforms. And what shoes did they wear with those Spence skirts and Dalton blazers? Boat shoes, of course.

It’s an evil convergence. Prep’s stubborn return to the zeitgeist — Rowing Blazers, I’ll never forgive you — and Sofia Richie’s impact on the skyrocketing interest in Stealth-Wealth. This means people are hungrier than ever to take a peek into the lives of the rich — then steal into their walk-in closets as big as a football field and try on their clothes.

    The Sofia Richie effect

It’s been a year since the iconic Richie-Grainge wedding that sparked the Gen Z obsession with old money. Since that year, we’ve slowly been creeping into territory that sends a chill down my spine.

At first I thought it was just one more microtrend. However, I was soon proven so wrong. Instead of moving on, people everywhere made Sofia Richie their style icon. For good reason — she’s a Virgo, her taste is impeccable. But just like fellow nepo-baby Hailey Baldwin-Bieber’s wedding, the stylish ceremony sparked a chain reaction I never could have predicted.

Let’s use Hailey as a case study. After she wore Nike Air Force Ones to her reception, the shoe was ubiquitous. Sorority houses didn’t know peace for years. And it didn’t stop there. Signature pieces of Hailey’s off-duty style became biblical references. Her leather jackets, baggy jeans, and Clean Look vibe were everywhere.

But once a Supreme dies, a new queen must take her place. Sofia Richie answered the call.

While her so-called “old money” looks are actually new — new and custom Chanel, she’s become the face of Stealth-Wealth. It’s worth mentioning that Sofia Richie is a nepo baby whose money and prestige comes from her father, Black pop singer Lionel Richie. She’s not the old money heiress this trend is supposed to harken back to — which, to me, feels subversive.

Nevertheless, the masses are eating it up. Sofia’s transformation from trendy party girl to Stealth-Wealth wife and mother is inspiring to all of us. Though most will never grace the rooms with those who are decked out in Loro Piana and Brunello, we can wear a cashmere (blend) sweater and pretend.

This summer, the Stealth-Wealth status symbol is a surprising one: the boat shoe.

    Why boat shoes?

Think about it: what says privilege like owning a boat and constantly sailing or a lake or on the sea? Boat shoes hint at an old-money lifestyle. They say you’re always prepared to be onboard a sailboat, yacht or sloop, that you have a tight jaw, and frequent clubs and restaurants that don’t allow sneakers, and you went to a prep school that has a biz-caz dress code.

I can tick the last box, which is why this trend makes me physically ill. At the sight of boat shoes — Sperry topsiders in particular — I’m transported back to high school. And no one wants that.

I can almost see the hoard of preppy kids in salmon garb and monogrammed backpacks, with their Sperrys as the cherry on top of their Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines outfit combinations.

Now, the fashionable set have taken the shoe over. Pairing them with trendy prep-inspired brands like Rowing Blazers and Aime Leon Dore, they’re taking back Prep.

Unlike hipster yuppies who took over Williamsburg and Portland in 2013, this isn’t playfully-ironic. It’s serious. You’ll see boat shoes with summer dresses, Gen Z oversized denim and carpenter pants. What an unlikely pairing — workwear and Prep, the opposite of workwear. Talk about high-low juxtaposition.

How to style boat shoes for summer?

If you’re planning on styling boat shoes for the summer, keep this in mind. Styling boat shoes correctly means achieving a balance between embracing new-age Prep without looking like a Prep school dweeb.

Do not go full quiet luxury with them. Put down the striped sweater and definitely don’t drape it around your shoulder. You’ll look like you’re cosplaying as someone in an ivy league a cappella group.

Instead, pair unexpected styles and aesthetics with boat shoes. They’re this summer’s cowboy boot. You’ll see them with flowy white maxi skirts and threadbare vintage tees. You’ll see them with ripped denim and oversized pants. You’ll definitely see them at the US Open, but you’ll also see them in the club. Don’t believe me? If the office siren aesthetic made it to the club, so will this.

The one benefit of this trend: unlike many other microtrends, boat shoes are usually made to be worn to death. They’re practical, comfortable, and easy to slip on while still being dressy. They’re a less casual option of Birkenstock Bostons and a counterpart to the loafer trend. No wonder Gen Z-loved brands like Miu Miu made their own and Saks is selling their distressed leather boat shoes for $925 a pair! Outrageous.

As they grow more high fashion, it’s a clear sign that boat shoes are here to stay. But they’re not your grandmother’s boat shoes, not my prep-school nightmare. They’re something else entirely. It just depends how you style them.

Whether you’re in love with quiet luxury or eager to experiment with the next trend, you can wear boat shoes with any aesthetic. I just won’t be joining you. God forbid, if LL Bean boots are in for fall, I’m abandoning everything and giving it all up for a beige capsule wardrobe.

For now, I’ll watch timidly as everyone dons a shoe I disavowed in my youth — and they’ll look good while doing it.

  • Sofia Richie just made the announcement everyone’s been waiting for

Sofia Richie just made the announcement everyone’s been waiting for

Sofia Richie first shared the exciting news at the start of the year.

Sofia Richie first shared the exciting news at the start of the year.

Screengrab from Sofia Richie’s Instagram page

Sofia Richie Grainge is officially a mom.

On May 24, the first-time mom shared a black-and-white image of her baby girl’s feet resting in the hands of her and her husband.

Sofia shared the name the couple chose for their baby girl and her official birth date.

“Eloise Samantha Grainge,” she revealed. “May, 20, 2024, best day of my life.”

Just a few months ago, Sofia shared the moment she and her husband, Elliot Grainge, learned they were expecting a daughter.

The video revealed the couple alone with their dog in the backyard of their home. Elliot set off a confetti cannon revealing pink confetti.

Elliot’s jaw immediately dropped as Sofia let out a joyful scream and fell to the ground. After taking a moment separately to let the news sink in, the first-time parents shared a sweet embrace.

The exciting announcement came a few months after becoming Mrs. Sofia Grainge.

In an interview with Vogue, Sofia confirmed she and husband Elliot Grainge were expecting their first child together, after weeks of much speculation.

Although the one thing that remained up in the air at the time of the interview was her little one’s due date.

Sofia told Vogue she found out she was pregnant “very, very early. I was about four weeks pregnant. I was on a trip to Milan for fashion week, and I was going to the Prada show. I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it. I thought it was jet lag.”

After returning home, she and her husband had plans to see an Ed Sheeran concert together, but because she knew there would be adult beverages around and she was a few days late for her period, she decided to take a test just in case. But this wasn’t anything new for Sofia.

“Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly. So he didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking. I was taking one of those really crappy at-home tests, and there was the faintest of lines. I was so used to seeing negatives that I knew when something looked even kind of different.”

She admitted Elliot was so excited when she told him to run to CVS to pick up the best pregnancy tests he could find. After all, they had been “casually” trying to get pregnant ever since they wedding in April 2023.

“We spoke the whole way on the phone. And when he came home, he’s such a sweet guy he always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he kind of sat me down and said, ‘If these are negative, don’t be upset. Our moment will come.’ When we turned over all three tests at the same time they were all positive. He was so excited, and we both cried. It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to scream it from the rooftops. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective – even with my friends.”

Sofia admitted she and Elliot were both “shocked” when they learned they would be welcoming a daughter into the world. Even before getting pregnant, Sofia admitted that she loved watching “the YouTubes and the TikToks of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink.”

Becca then left the correct color for her and Elliot to find and pop together. “We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too.”

“I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive,” Sofia said of Elliot.

The couple told their respective parents first. Sofia put the positive tests in an Hermes box and told them she had bought them a gift while she was at fashion week in Milan.

“Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet,” Sofia told Vogue.

As for her plans as a mom, Sofia wants what most moms want: “to raise a smart, kind person. I really value manners and being polite and being kind to everyone because that was instilled in me at a young age,” she told Vogue.

“Being someone’s best friend and helping guide them in life down a certain path. I’m so excited to hold someone’s hand through that, but most of all, to have my lifelong best friend like that.”

And while everyone will be yearning for that first sneak peak of their little one, don’t expect much.

“I want my child to be a child, I’m not going to publicize my child on Instagram. I don’t plan to take that approach because I want my kid to have the option to do what she wants with her life. If she wants to be a private person, I want her to be able to make that choice, and if she wants to be a public person, she can make that choice for herself.”

  • Sofia Richie’s Due Date Is Getting Closer As Her Dad Lionel Jokes She’s Having A ‘Nervous Breakdown’

Sofia Richie’s Due Date Is Getting Closer As Her Dad Lionel Jokes She’s Having A ‘Nervous Breakdown’

A surprise announcement. Her star-studded ceremony is followed by a cute pregnancy. Sofia Richie’s due date is coming closer and closer months after she made her grand debut of her baby bump in Vogue.

Sofia and music exec Elliot Grainge tied the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony on April 22, 2023. “I love Elliot,” her father musician Lionel told Access Hollywood on April 26, 2022, shortly after his daughter’s announcement. “I’ve known him since he was 12 … It was one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid. I know who it is.”

Grainge grew up in the UK where he inherited his father’s love for the music business—his dad is Lucian Grainge, the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group. “I was a weird kid who used to read the music trades,” he told Variety in a 2019 profile. “What I noticed about my father’s negotiating style was how transparent, honest, and sensible he was. When you put your cards on the table like that, negotiating is less competitive and more about teamwork.”

    Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge

Sofia went Instagram Official with music executive Elliot Grainge in April 2021, just days after Entertainment Tonight first reported that the pair were dating. On April 6, an insider told the site that the pair “have been friends for years and Elliot is also close with Sofia’s brother, Miles. It’s very nice for Sofia to date someone who her family approves of and likes.”

In a since-expired Instagram Story, Sofia confirmed the speculation by posting a photo of herself and Grainge looking ready to share a kiss. Grainge, who is the founder and CEO of independent record label 10K Projects, was said to be getting “serious” with the model just days after going public with their relationship. “They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious,” a source explained to Us Weekly at the time. “Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together.”

So when is Sofia Richie‘s due date? Read more to find out.

When is Sofia Richie’s due date?

Sofia Richie’s due date for her baby girl is around Gemini season, according to Vogue. The dates that range the fiesty Gemini season are May 20 to June 16.

“She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air,” Richie told the magazine. “I love the YouTubes and the TikToks—even before I was talking about getting pregnant—of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink. She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”

As to how they discovered her pregnancy, Richie took many pregnancy tests, but this one was particularly before an Ed Sheeran concert. “I kind of knew it was going to be a boozy night, and I was a few days late on my period, and I wanted to be generally safe, so I took a test,” she remembers. “Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly. So he didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking. I was taking one of those really crappy at-home tests, and there was the faintest of lines. I was so used to seeing negatives that I knew when something looked even kind of different.”

The mom-to-be is excited to dress up and style herself. “Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” she told the publication. “I’m not really tapping into maternity wear at all, if anything, I’m just sizing up. I’m also not buying an entirely new wardrobe for this pregnancy. I’ve bought a few pairs of pants in bigger sizes, but I’m wearing my same jackets, and sweaters, and trenches—I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”

She’s also express-building her dream home with Grainge. “We found out we were pregnant four days after we moved out of our [previous] house. We were supposed to have at least 12 months to do the renovation, so I said, ‘Listen, we have a deadline now.’ And because of that, I was able to fully customize the room. I’ve had a lot of fun playing with pastel pinks. Really bringing to life a little girl fantasy within a nursery.”

Though the baby may be a May-June baby, the married couple is planning to throw celebrations before the birth. “I’m going to tap into that in the next few months. I’ll probably do it closer to April,” Richie Grainge says. “I definitely plan on doing a baby shower and a babymoon.”

Lionel Richie opened up about his daughter’s preparation for a baby, weeks after she hit the nine-month mark, “I keep saying, ‘Calm down. When the baby comes, then your nervous breakdown will start, you know.’” he revealed to Extra the advice of the parents to be. “I mean, my life is so full right now. I mean, 39 years ago was We Are the World: The Greatest Night in Pop, and now here it is on Netflix and is doing amazing, number one around the world,” he said. “ And then we’ve got my Sofie — my baby’s now having a baby. What the heck is going on?”

  • Gone Country: How Bella Hadid Inspired The Biggest Trend of 2024

Gone Country: How Bella Hadid Inspired The Biggest Trend of 2024

Over the past year, I’ve noticed a major shift in the trend-scape. Sure, we have major fashion trends like Sofia Richie-Grainge’s Old Money style or the consistent popularity of Y2K fashion. But there’s a more persistent trend that has wiggled its way into our fashion, our music, and even our dating choices.

Yes, America’s gone country. It started with the rise in popularity of country music: folk inspired, stomp-and-holler musicians like Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan skyrocketed to superstardom. Luke Combs’ version of “Fast Car” was #1 on the Billboard charts, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time album dominated, and then there are artists like Tyler Childers who are quickly becoming go-to radio favorites.

But, lately, the extensive reach of country spreads far beyond music. It’s in our style: cowboy boots are no longer reserved for your yearly trip to a country concert or for the streets of Nashville. They’re now your go-to for your outfits, a staple in your shoe closet.

The Hills’ Kristin Cavallari recently broke the internet for dating one of TikTok’s famous Montana Boyz. Viral for their good looks and country lip syncing videos, the Montana Boyz are your classic truck-loving, boot-wearing country men. And for one of Los Angeles’ original It Girls, this dating choice seemed a bit unnatural.

    @montana.boyz Brother she’s country.. #fyp #montanaboyz ♬ She’s Country – Jason Aldean

Cavallari isn’t the only one who has saddled up and gone country…in fact, our resident It Girl, Bella Hadid is leading the pack. Bella’s always loved horseback riding, but these days we notice she’s been spending a lot of time in Fort Worth, Texas.

    Who Is Bella Hadid Dating?

Bella Hadid and boyfriend Adan Banuelos

    Bella Hadid via Instagram Stories

Yes, she’s dating Adan Banuelos, a famous professional horseback rider who is a bit of a star in the rodeo world himself. The couple were first spotted in October 2023 shopping, wearing coordinating cowboy boots and denim. From there, Bella Hadid has been a walking poster for all things country.

She’s posted subtle Instagram nods to her relationship with Banuelos, which consists of a lot of equestrian posts. It makes sense, as Hadid was hitting professional horseback riding competitions until she was diagnosed with Lyme’s Disease. She’s remained passionate about horseback riding since, often posting about her horses on social media.

And if Bella Hadid is one thing, it’s a trendsetter. She popularized the UGG platform slippers that sell out the second the weather drops below 60 degrees. She convinces us that we, too, can rock low rise jeans.

So now the entire planet is enraptured by country. We’re all buying the cowboy boots, leaning into our all-denim Canadian tuxedo fits, and streaming Nashville’s finest.

Want to go country just like Bella Hadid? Here’s how to do it.

    Bella Hadid’s Country Fits

We all want to dress like Bella Hadid. There’s countless Instagram accounts dedicated to the younger Hadid sister’s closet. The moment she’s photographed outside, the whole world’s trying to figure out what she’s wearing and if they can afford it.

And if they can’t afford it, they’ll dupe it. So I’ve rounded up a few Bella Hadid-inspired country outfits that are just southern enough…but also endlessly versatile pieces that won’t end up in your donation bin a year from now.

    Full Denim Fit

I like this look because it’s a chill street style version of your classic all-denim outfit. The sweetheart styled top paired with low-rise baggy jeans is precisely what you need for a timeless look.

    An Essential Jean Jacket

Honestly, couldn’t come up with something better myself. A solid denim jacket is tough to come by. I always struggle with going too oversized and swimming in my coat, but this one is the epitome of a staple denim jacket.

    A Cowboy Hat

It ain’t a trip to the rodeo without your cowboy hat. Bella Hadid somehow makes this look effortlessly chic. Go plain with a black cowboy hat like this one Bella wears.

While her looks still embody the “stealth wealth” aesthetic, in this new sartorial era, they spotlight much cozier and baggier silhouettes. Long, oversized coats, elegant sunglasses, casual sneakers, and structured bags have become the model’s uniform while flaunting her bump. These essentials come from brand names you’d expect from the queen of quiet luxury. We’re talking The Row, Bottega Veneta, Isabel Marant, Max Mara, and more. On top of that, the style icon has been rocking monochrome outfits in addition to pops of color here and there.

Even though Sofia is known to dress bougie with a capital “B,” during her pregnancy, she’s been gravitating towards comfy, affordable sneakers like the everyone-and-their-grandma-owns-them adidas Sambas. And if you’ve been eyeing the R13 green overalls she recently donned but don’t have $500+ to spare, we wrote a whole other story to share look-alikes that you can add to your closet right this second.

Ahead, find seven looks that define Sofia Richie’s pregnancy style, and be sure to act fast on the designer pieces that are currently marked down (peep the Isabel Marant sunglasses that are a whopping 60 percent off).

First up is the look that has everyone asking where Sofia’s green overalls are from. The model is the definition of effortlessly chic in R13’s Damon Denim Overalls, which she turns into a one-shoulder moment by removing one of the straps. If you want to twin with Sofia, head to check out ASAP because the overalls are practically out of stock at the moment.

Sofia has been bundling up while out and about in Los Angeles by throwing on coats that are the perfect amount of oversized on her. She wore this camel-colored Max Mara coat without the waist tie and paired it with the super trendy adidas Samba sneakers that show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

A monochrome outfit with a statement accessory that provides a pop of color is a winning formula for looking put-together, regardless of the destination or occasion. Sofia achieves this with a brown maxi dress, a brown coat, and dark tortoiseshell sunglasses. She completes the ‘fit with an absolutely stunning red Hermès handbag. I don’t know about you, but I think I just discovered my new favorite color combo.

When Sofia’s not teaching us a lesson in less-is-more neutrals, you might spot her wearing a burst of color. Take, for example, this bright red sweater, which stands out even more since she styled it with an otherwise all-black ensemble (black coat, black bag, black shoes, black sunnies).

ICYMI, leopard print is making a comeback, and Sofia is one of the many A-listers who have embraced its revival. She has a lot going on with this outfit—round sunglasses, a vintage tee, black Sambas, and a red Hermès bag—yet all of the different components manage to work together in such an stylish, elevated way.

This outfit proves once again that Sofia is the queen of head-to-toe brown outfits. This time, she opted for a dressier look for an evening out in Los Angeles. The AGOLDE leather pants and Khaite, western-inspired, heeled boots are by far my favorite components of this ‘fit, and if I could sell an arm and a leg for them to magically appear in my wardrobe, I most definitely would.

    The Row Polli Wool-Blend Jacket
    The Row.

The model has mostly been spotted dressing up her bump, although she definitely doesn’t shy away from comfort. This is Sofia’s most casual pregnancy OOTD on this list (simple leggings and Loewe x On Running sneakers included), but it still involves a $2,200 Khaite sweater that looks like the kind of cozy garment you’d never want to take off.

Sofia Richie Wore the Earring Trend Fashion People Are Ditching Dainty Studs For

Now that Sofia Richie has announced her pregnancy to the world, we have her maternity outfits to look forward to. She’s already treated us to several looks this week, including her first red carpet appearance since announcing. Richie walked the red carpet with her husband Elliot Grainge for a pre-Grammys event in L.A., and as to be expected, her look was wildly chic.

Richie wore a black off-the-shoulder blazer and trousers paired with black slingback heels. What really made the ensemble were her earrings, which were right in step with one of the biggest jewelry trends of the upcoming season. Hello, ’80s-inspired earrings—goodbye, delicate and dainty earrings. Richie’s oversize square earrings were reminiscent of the glamorous, statement-making earrings of the decade. The bold onyx-and-gold earrings provided a perfect contrast to her subdued outfit. Take notes because pairing ’80s earrings with low-key outfits is the best way to ensure that your look doesn’t come across as costumey.

  • Sofia Richie Grainge’s Maternity Wardrobe Proves Overalls Are Still Cool

Sofia Richie Grainge’s Maternity Wardrobe Proves Overalls Are Still Cool

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, StyleCaster may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Sofia Richie Grainge quickly became 2023’s It Girl with her entry onto TikTok. Videos showcasing her ‘quiet luxury’ fashion wardrobe and chic makeup regimen blew up almost immediately—no one could get enough. And of course, we can’t forget the intimate glances into her lavish wedding to Elliot Grainge back in April. There’s nothing about the star that doesn’t leave us in an absolute chokehold.

Now that the celeb is stepping into a new phase of life (motherhood!), we’re all waiting with bated breath to see her maternity style unfold along the way—and she’s certainly starting off strong. Richie Grainge was recently spotted out and about in LA wearing something far more relaxed than usual, and we’re totally here for it.

While you’d normally see her rocking a sleek blazer, wide leg trousers or elegant maxi dress, she instead opted for a soft cashmere sweater underneath a pair of green R18 overalls—cool mom energy all the way. While we immediately ran to R18 to see just how much the overalls cost, they were nowhere to be found; just goes to show Richie Grainge is always one step ahead.

Obviously, we had to do a deep dive across the Internet to find similar-looking options to recreate the look (on a budget, of course). Shop alternative options to Richie Grainge’s overalls from Amazon and Target to pair with your favorite slouchy sweater.

    GRAPENT Overalls
    Amazon

While these GRAPENT overalls from Amazon are a slightly brighter green than the R18 pair, we think they’ll easily get the job done—and for less than $50. Shop them in sizes XS through XXL
    .

    ANRABESS Women's Overalls
    Amazon

Another top contender from Amazon’s fashion department, reviewers say these casual overalls are super “flattering” and have a “soft material.”

    Target

Opt for this twist on classic overalls that features a high-waist line, button placket and wide leg fit. Plus, they’re on sale right now for under $50.

    Amazon

If you find denim to be too constricting, there’s always linen overalls—this pair from Amazon
has a breathable cotton and linen blend that will make you feel like you’re wearing pajamas.

    Target

Of course, there are no rules! If green isn’t your color, switch up the look by selecting a more neutral shade, like these charcoal grey overalls from Cupshe.

  • Sofia Richie Grainge’s Baby Bump Makes Red Carpet Debut at Pre-Grammys 2024 Party

Sofia Richie Grainge’s Baby Bump Makes Red Carpet Debut at Pre-Grammys 2024 Party

Sofia Richie Grainge has taken her popular get ready with me videos to the next level: Think a makeup tutorial is exciting? How about following a months-long journey to parenthood, like the one Richie Grainge is on after she revealed to Vogue last week that she and husband Elliot Grainge are expecting a baby girl.

The model gave her growing baby bump its red carpet debut Thursday night at the Warner Music Group pre-Grammys 2024 party at Los Angeles’ Citizen News. She wore a black off-the-shoulder top, unbuttoned slightly at the bottom, black pants, and black slingback heels. She accessorized her monochrome look with David Yurman jewelry (Richie Grainge is an ambassador for the brand) and a black clutch purse.

Richie Grainge and Grainge got married on the French Riviera in April 2023 in one of the most talked-about celebrations of the year, spurring an obsession with the “quiet luxury” look that many say Richie Grainge embodies. (For the record, she says the term “sounds really nice, so I’m not knocking it, but [my stylist] Liat Baruch and I started working together properly about three and a half years ago, and when we met, our word was ‘timeless.’”) Richie Grainge walked down the aisle in custom-designed Chanel, one of three looks the house created for her that she wore during her wedding festivities.

Richie Grainge, 25, told Vogue that she and Grainge, 30, had been “casually trying” to get pregnant since their wedding, and that she confirmed this pregnancy “very, very early.”

“I was about four weeks pregnant. I was on a trip to Milan for Fashion Week, and I was going to the Prada show. I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it. I thought it was jet lag,” she said. Knowing that she was going out with friends the next night and that her period was a few days late, she took a cheap test to be safe. When she saw a line indicating a positive, she sent Grainge to the store for more tests.

“He was so excited,” she said of her husband. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective—even with my friends.”

The baby girl is due sometime in late May or June, according to Richie Grainge’s sign reveal (it’s a Gemini! Oh, and a girl.), and now that the world knows she’s on her way, Richie Grainge said she’s ready to unleash her take on pregnancy fashion instead of trying to conceal her growing bump.

“Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” she said. “I’m not really tapping into maternitywear at all, if anything, I’m just sizing up. I’m also not buying an entirely new wardrobe for this pregnancy. I’ve bought a few pairs of pants in bigger sizes, but I’m wearing my same jackets, and sweaters, and trenches—I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”

As for the closet staples she’s saved for her sure-to-be well-dressed daughter?

“I have a lot of little bags to pass down,” Richie Grainge said. “I have a lot in mind.”

  • Sofia Richie Hasn’t Stopped Wearing This Item Since She Announced Her Pregnancy

Sofia Richie Hasn’t Stopped Wearing This Item Since She Announced Her Pregnancy

It’s been less than a full week since Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband Elliot Grainge announced in Vogue that they’re expecting, but already, the 25-year-old mom-to-be has debuted two “maternity” looks, and both of them include a certain beloved winter staple: cashmere sweaters.

On Monday, Richie Grainge was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a tan-colored cashmere knit underneath a pair of army-green R13 overalls. To the combo, she added white flat shoes, tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a canvas-and-leather Ferragamo Hug bag. A day later, she picked out another sweater in the luxe, super-soft fabric for lunch at Beverly Grill in Beverly Hills, this time, an oatmeal-and-black striped V-neck by Khaite. For the mid-day activity, she kept things casual, styling her thick sweater with leggings, white sneakers from On x Loewe, Toteme sunglasses and her go-to oversize The Row bag.

Given how little time has passed since their big announcement, the fact that Richie Grainge has picked this specific sweater style twice already is a sure-fire sign that there’s a lot more of it to come in her pregnancy.

Sofia Richie Grainge Is Pregnant, and It’s a Girl!

This just in: Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband of nine months Elliot Grainge are expecting their first child together… a daughter! And given that she found out about the pregnancy directly after Milan Fashion Week, it’s pretty much written in the stars that the future Gemini will be just as chic as her mom.

According to the model and entrepreneur, who made the announcement in Vogue today, she found out “very, very early” about her pregnancy after traveling to the Italian fashion capital for the Prada show in September. “I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it,” she told the magazine. “I thought it was jet lag.” Hint: It wasn’t. When she got home, she took a test—something she said she did fairly often given that her and Grainge had been trying to start a family ever since their April wedding—and it came back positive. “He was so excited,” she said of her husband. “We both cried.”

Now that the news is out, Richie Grainge shared that she’s excited to start experimenting with her not-so-maternity style after having to hide the pregnancy for so long under various types of oversize outerwear. “Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” she told Vogue. “I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”

Scroll down to check out some of the chic ways she’s been secretly styling her growing bump, and stay tuned, there’s a whole lot more style inspiration on the way between now and Gemini season, and we’ll be covering *all* of it.

  • Sofia Richie Grainge announced her pregnancy in the most on-brand way

Sofia Richie Grainge announced her pregnancy in the most on-brand way

Sofia Richie Grainge is going to be a mom! The 25-year-old shared the happy news in the most Sofia Richie Grainge-way possible: a photoshoot in Vogue.

The images, shot by Yulia Gorbachenko, feature the mom-to-be posing in a series of very on-brand outfits: a pair of briefs and a crisp shirt unbuttoned at the belly; a long-sleeve backless black dress; a ribbed white tank and olive corduroy pants; a boxy black suit sans bra or top.

All in all, nothing too surprising from the woman who basically ushered in the era of “stealth wealth” fashion. Another photo captures Richie Grainge and her husband of nine months, Elliot Grainge, both in matching, breezy white looks.

Also on brand? The way the couple told Grainge’s parents.

“We went to Elliot’s parents, who live about five minutes away from us, and I think I had a box—I want to say it was a Hermès box or some sort of box—and I told everyone that I had bought them a gift from Milan Fashion Week,” Richie Grainge told Vogue. “Everyone was like ‘Ooooh Hermes!’ But then they opened it and it had all three of the pregnancy tests [in it]. That’s how we told all of our parents. Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet.”

Per Vogue, the couple had been “casually trying [for a child] ever since they got married in April,” and are thrilled to be expecting a little girl. “She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air,” Richie Grainge says. “My dream in life is to have a daughter, and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”

Sofia and Elliot began dating in 2021, got engaged in 2022, and then married last spring in the wedding heard ’round TikTok. Now that she’s entering her mom era, we assume the fervor will be just as loud.

  • Short wedding dresses are this year's biggest bridal trend

Short wedding dresses are this year's biggest bridal trend

Sure, there’s also the best boho wedding dresses, maternity wedding dresses and high street wedding dresses for all year round to consider, but short wedding dresses are a whole different ball game. According to Karen Millen, searches for ‘mini wedding dress’ and ‘mini bridal dress’ soared 229% and 423% worldwide after the Richie-Grainge wedding. So if that doesn’t tell you to give them a chance, I don’t know what will.

It’s easy to assume that there’s only one type of dress when it comes to your big day – typically floor-length and made of chiffon, satin or lace – and I’m the first to admit that I was in that camp, but, actually, there are some stunning above-the-knee designs that’ll have you feeling (and looking) just as spectacular as a wedding gown/ball gown would.

There’s no reason why you can’t join your gal pals with their short bridesmaids dresses and wedding guest dresses and have a shorter hemline yourself.

  • I Found Sofia Richie's Trendy It-Color Pants on Sale at Nordstrom

I Found Sofia Richie's Trendy It-Color Pants on Sale at Nordstrom

Sofia Richie just proved that she certainly knows how to dress for winter in L.A., in case you had any doubt. Richie stepped out for dinner over the weekend in a chocolate brown outfit which she paired with black accessories (no longer a color-pairing faux pas, as you can see). To elevate her casual, oversized wool coat, Richie opted for a monochromatic look and went with brown leather pants instead of jeans.

Richie’s perfect pants are from celeb-favorite brand Agolde. The interesting thing about Agolde’s “leather” pants is that they’re made of a blend of recycled leather, polyurethane, and polyester. It keeps the cost down and makes them easier to care for than 100% leather pants. Given this and that chocolate brown is a major color trend this season (but is also a classic), these pants would be a wise investment—especially since they’re currently  20% off on Nordstrom. Scroll to shop those and more Agolde leather pants.

  • I Ranked the Celeb-Favorite Beauty Products I Was Influenced to Buy This Year

I Ranked the Celeb-Favorite Beauty Products I Was Influenced to Buy This Year

My name is Kaitlyn McLintock, and sometimes, I’m influenced by celebrities to buy things. There, I said it. As a beauty editor, it’s easy to blame it on my job and call it “research” or “due diligence.” After all, I can’t crown a certain product as the best without comparing it to all of the others on the market, right? That’s true, but if I’m being honest, it’s more than that. It’s also about the fact that I want to have the best beauty products at my disposal. If a celebrity, who has access to basically anything they want, uses or recommends something, I want it.

Let me be clear. I’m not necessarily looking for celebrity endorsements. I’m interested in the products they use without being compensated for using them or, at the very least, products they’ve created themselves. Say what you will about celebrity beauty brands, but if they’re slapping their name on something, they have to believe in it at least a little bit.

This year, I bought and tested a lot of celeb beauty products. I, however, only felt a few were worth the money, and I figured I’d share them with you. Ahead, see all the celeb-favorite beauty products I used this year, ranked from most to least favorite.

  • The Top 10 Sofia Richie Outfits of 2023

The Top 10 Sofia Richie Outfits of 2023

Without a doubt, 2023 has been Sofia Richie’s year. Sure, she’s been in the spotlight for years, but ever since her wedding to Elliot Grainge in April, which took social media by storm, she—and her impeccable sense of style—have been the talk of the fashion world. In fact, we were lucky enough to have her as our Who What Wear cover star in August.

Richie’s elegant and timeless yet trend-forward aesthetic has had a major influence over what people wear since she rose to It-girl status in the spring, and that’s showing no signs of changing. From her Chanel-clad wedding to her off-duty looks consisting of Khaite and The Row (and more Chanel), Richie delivers one chic outfit after another. So needless to say, it was a challenge to narrow it down to her ten best outfits of the year, but narrow it down I did.

Scroll on to find out what I think are Richie’s top ten looks of the year (so far) and shop pieces inspired by her luxuriously cool style. (For the record, I didn’t include her wedding-day outfits in this ranking, as they kind of have an unfair advantage.)

  • The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is your go-to for glamorous hair this party season

The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is your go-to for glamorous hair this party season

It was only a matter of time before quiet luxury went beyond Sofia Richie‘s blazers and ballet pumps to become a dominant trend in the hair space. The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is a case in point. Characterised by soft bouncy bobs, salon-worthy waves and sleek ponytails, this is an elevated take on basic styles – and it ticks every box for the festive party season.

According to hair stylist Luke Hersheson – who works with everyone from Victoria Beckham to Dua Lipa – the Old Money blow-dry is the definition of polished hair. “There’s lots of shine and a little movement but essentially it is very brushed, full, glossy-looking hair,” he says.

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

From Succession to Gossip Girl, popular TV programmes have been fuelling our obsession with the aesthetic for some time. Then TikTok joined the party with offshoots such as the coastal grandmother.

Now Old Money is back in the spotlight courtesy of season 6 of The Crown. Margot Robbie‘s new film Saltburn will be fuelling the trend, too. To put this into perspective, #OldMoney has garnered over 11.2 billion views on TikTok, with #OldMoneyAesthetic amassing 142.3 million views.

But it’s our hair that is currently taking centre stage with timeless Old Money styles. Better still, you don’t actually have to possess huge sums of money to give the appearance that you’ve inherited a small fortune.

Classic hair accessories such as haberdashery bows and headbands are one way to lean into the aesthetic. Karlie Kloss delivered a masterclass in making the black hair bow look modern – not prissy – at this year’s Met Gala, while Jennifer Lawrence has sparked an entire micro trend around headbands, especially the black leather version that is her go-to of late.
