New Releases We Are Streaming This September

September is finally here, which means we’ve got tons of new music to listen to! From full-length albums to singles and EPs, our fall playlists are getting longer and longer every week. We’ve pulled just a few favorites from the queue to share with you (we know you’ll love them just as much as we do), so get cozy honeybees! It’s time to start September off on the right musical note.

    Joe P’s Garden State Vampire

You are crazy if you thought this album wasn’t going to make our list! We’re screaming bloody murder for Joe P because he’s our vampire crush wish come true 🩸. New Jersey may just be that girl. So many influential musicians have come from NJ like Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, and now Joe P! We are so excited to watch his fame grow and grow.

From his latest album, Garden State Vampire, Joe P explores themes of nostalgia, feeling like you don’t belong, and learning how to love yourself.

One of the reasons I named the album Garden State Vampire is that I really thrive in being in a place that no one pays much attention to, instead of living in Nashville or L.A. or New York like a lot of people in the music business. It’s kind of nice to feel like I’m alone on a different planet, where the only thing that matters is staying true to whatever these songs want to be.

Check out the music video for one of our favorite tracks, ‘Violet.’

You can catch Joe P live at Sea.Hear.Now in his home state of New Jersey or on his other world tour dates for the rest of 2024.

Jessie Reyez’s ‘RIDIN’’ Featuring Lil Wayne

We will ride for Jessie and her music forever! Jessie knows how to curate the perfect vibes for every season. That’s why we simply had to add this song to our September list. ‘RIDIN’’ is an extension of her hit ‘SHUT UP,’ which we loved just as much. Two songs with similar themes…does this mean an album is coming soon?

    SOFI TUKKER’s BREAD

This duo is cooking up some heat in the kitchen! BREAD is an album full of every song you could ever need in a playlist. The love songs, the bangers, and the chill ones that every music lover would deem essential. Our faves are ‘Spiral,’ ‘Perfect Someone,’ and, of course, ‘Throw Some A**.’

The BREAD world is vivid – a celebration of life and sensuality intended to give the listener energy, just like carbs. Bread is also something people all around the world use to connect, gather and share. We’re reminded that it feels amazing to lose your inhibitions, feel energized and dance. The creative thread throughout BREAD explores togetherness, the magic of the Brazilian essence, which the music is inspired by, as well as a playful surrealism that says: live life to the fullest, eat all the BREAD, and BE REALLY ENERGETIC AND DANCE.

Their latest single, ‘We Pray’ is no exception. This September we are gearing up for the band’s new album, Moon Music, dropping next month on October 4. In the meantime, ‘We Pray’ has kept us going! The track features Burna Boy and a handful of other musicians whom we love.

    Magdalena Bay’s Imaginal Disk

Magdalena Bay fans have been waiting and waiting…and waiting for their new album! It’s finally here and we loved each of the 15 songs. Some highlights include ‘Killing Time’ and ‘Image.’ This duo is quickly climbing the charts and making their way to a household name. We can’t wait to see how they grow in their musicality! If you weren’t a fan before today, this is your sign to jump on the train before it leaves the station.

The duo is headed out on tour, so now is your time to see them live! We already got our tickets. Have you?

  • Deep Tropics Unveils 2024 Headliners Ft. Kaskade, RL Grime & More + Sustainability Summit | Your EDM

Deep Tropics Unveils 2024 Headliners Ft. Kaskade, RL Grime & More + Sustainability Summit | Your EDM

There’s no festival quite like Deep Tropics. Since their start, they’ve been pioneers in the festival landscape not just for delivering unforgettable music experiences, but for producing climate positive events year after year, earning the title to the Greenest Festival In North America.

Take last year for instance, through their non-profit Deep Culture, they diverted 96% of festival waste from entering landfills. Their carbon footprint is offset through global and local tree-planting initiatives. 2024 partnerships include Ancient Nutrition’s R.A.N.C.H. Project, Trees for The Future, Tennessee Riverkeeper and the wonderful team at Bicentennial Capitol State Park

This year, they’re poised for their biggest edition yet as they revealed the name of each headliner starting Monday and completing today. House and bass music fans can rejoice, as this year is fronted by Kaskade, who will perform a coveted Redux set, RL Grime, Sofi Tukker, and Peekaboo.

Additionally, Deep Tropics will host a Sustainability Summit on August 15th, curated by Deep Culture. The Summit is a convergence bringing together industry professionals, government officials and engaged citizens across diverse sectors to connect, inspire and showcase regenerative solutions. Furthermore, there will be a Deep Culture Amphitheater Experience to kick off the second day of the festival on August 17th, featuring a transformative set curated by DJ Drez. From breathwork and yoga to meditation and dance, attendees will embark on a journey of self-discovery and connection.

“We are redefining the traditional festival model beyond entertainment. The long-term vision for Deep Tropics is to expand into a week-long conference that takes over Nashville. Think SXSW, ADE, Art Basel, Miami Music Week, but with a focus on regenerative design & wellness that is surrounded by amazing parties. The Sustainability Summit & expanded mindful activations at the festival itself serve as stepping stones toward that goal.” – Blake Atchison, co-founder of Deep Tropics)

Picture immersive workshops, thought provoking panels, and captivating talks on regenerative agriculture, sustainable fashion, renewable energy, & holistic wellness practices. Within our event festival-goers will discover activities dedicated to rejuvenation and self-care, offering yoga, meditation, sound healing, and holistic modalities designed to replenish mind, body, and soul. Deep Tropics is more than a festival—it builds a bridge between party and purpose. It’s a vibrant expression of community, connection, and a commitment to the health of our planet through an immersive celebration of dance music culture.– Joel Atchison, co-founder of Deep Tropics

  • Headliners Share Their New Year's Resolutions Ahead of Countdown NYE 2023 | Your EDM

Headliners Share Their New Year's Resolutions Ahead of Countdown NYE 2023 | Your EDM

It’s just over a week to go until Countdown NYE returns to the NOS Events Center on December 30-31. This year’s alien invasion promises to be the largest yet, with more than 80 artists performing across five stages to help ring in 2024. Countdown will feature the “Attack of the Lazer-Rayz” and they’re promising to bring more lasers than Planet Earth has ever seen.

As we approach the New Year we wanted to share some of this year’s headliners’ New Year’s resolutions. While some artists had more specific career and music related resolutions, many others shared the same resolutions every other person makes; focusing on mental and physical health, achieving more of a work-life balance, and being more present in the moment.

    Deorro

“My New Year’s resolution is to continue pushing Mexican and Latin culture through music in the EDM scene”

    Gryffin

“I always try to make every year better than the last. For 2024, I hope to feed my creativity more than ever before and continue to prioritize my health and the health of my family. I’m so excited to continue to expand the Gryffin project and share my new music and new vision with Gryffam and the world.”

    Moksi

“2023 was an amazing year for me. I felt a strong connection with you all. I will make sure you guys are proud to be part of the Moksi Crew in 2024. I got some stuff up my sleeve.”

    Ray Volpe

“My new year’s resolution is to take care of my health. I’ve never traveled so extensively before, and it’s really taken a toll on my physical and mental health to be honest. Recognizing that this past year, and knowing that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I really need to take action on it!”

    Sofi Tukker

“Tuck’s new year’s resolution is to have less of a sense of urgency and Soph’s is to have more of one 😂. And we both want to continue to love the process of what we get to do.”

    Crankdat

“My new year’s resolution is to try to find a better work-life balance. I tend to go all in with Crankdat stuff a little too much and burn out. I think if I’m able to balance what I need to do with general life stuff, I’ll be able to find new inspiration that’ll lead to some great music stuff.”

    Valentino Khan

My new year’s resolution is to release more music than I ever have. My biggest goal is to take risks and take on challenges that push the culture forward. This spirit was one of the things that appealed to me about dance music in the first place, and I plan to put more emphasis on this exact energy.

    Borgore

“I became a dad this year, which is a completely different mindset than being DADDY. I decided that for me next year, and the next 100 years, at least, I’m going to dedicate as much time as possible to my daughter so she doesn’t grow up a dubstep DJ. Jokes aside, she can do whatever she wants when she grows up, but my career goal right now is to get Top 100 in DAD Mag next year, so please vote.”

    Bonnie x Clyde

    Bonnie (Paige):
“To grow stronger physically and mentally, become more emotionally resilient, be more open to change, sticking to a mindset that focuses on positivity and growth. My main goal is to live more presently, harness a life of gratitude each day, influence others to follow their dreams and become the best version of themselves so we can collectively help others to the best of our abilities & change the world.”

    Clyde (Daniel):
“My resolution is to ’10x’ the efficiency of my work output while fostering a calm, positive, and enriching environment for myself and the people around me.”

    Devault

“My new year’s resolution on a personal level is prioritizing my friends and family. I’m hoping to commit my free time to trips and experiences that involve them. On a music level, my resolution is putting out 2-3 records that push my own artistic taste. 2024 feels like the year to expand and push my own sonic world.”

    Riot Ten

“It’s honestly hard to say just one. My new year’s resolution(s) are to get back in shape, work on my health, both mentally and physically, and to put out more music than ever. The way I see it… if I’m healthy, I’m making more music. And if I’m making more music, then I tend to be happier and healthy. It’s time to get active!”

Tickets for Countdown NYE are still available. Prepare for the alien invasion this New Year’s Eve weekend in Southern California. Check out the lineup and official playlist below.
