    A Texas mother is speaking out after alleging that Child Protective Services (CPS) removed her two-year-old son from her care without a court order.

    Here’s What Reportedly Occurred

    According to Fox 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth, Joslyn Sanders took her son, Josiah, to the Children’s Medical Center Dallas due to a rash he developed. Sanders reportedly believed the rash was caused by her son’s skin reacting to a new laundry detergent.

    “I realized his foot was swelling and took him to the hospital at the advice of a pediatrician,” she explained to the outlet.

    However, Sanders disagreed with the medication doctors prescribed her son.

    “I was not ok with clindamycin since that antibiotic is reserved for more severe infections,” she added.

    Sanders left the hospital. Then, CPS officers visited her apartment the next day, accompanied by officers from the Corinth Police Department.

    Corinth Police Chief Jerry Garner reportedly spoke with Fox 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth about the visit.

    “They did not observe anything that would indicate the child was in imminent danger,” Garner explained.

    However, CPS officers reportedly explained that they visited Sander’s residence on reports from the hospital that Josiah was malnourished.

    “They observed the child would eat, and drink. They saw a rash, but they did not see an emergency,” Garner continued. “They did not see anything obvious to indicate the child was malnourished.”

    Upon their visit, Sanders reportedly informed CPS that she would take her child to another medical professional. However, the CPS officials then informed her that it would not be needed and that they would be removing her son from her care.

    “The child had a skin infection and a nutritional deficiency. Mother Joslyn Sanders provided no explanation about the child being malnourished. The doctor said the child is at severe risk of becoming septic due to serious infection,” a court affidavit filed by CPS reportedly reads, per Fox 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth.

    A spokesperson for CPS has reportedly confirmed with the outlet that a judge ordered the child to be in the organization’s care.

    The Texas Mother Speaks Out As Social Media Weighs In

    According to the outlet, Sanders alleges that CPS’s affidavit failed to acknowledge that Josiah has been receiving treatment for “feeding difficulties.” The outlet reports that the child is being treated by his nutrition therapist and primary care provider.

    Now, after spending at least sixty days away from her son, Sanders is speaking out.

    “I’ve never been away from my son for more than a few hours; it’s now been 60 days,” she reportedly explained. “I think about him every moment.”

    Here’s What Is Expected To Happen To The Child

    According to Fox 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth, Josiah was placed into a foster home on Tuesday, February 19. Furthermore, a hearing for his mother to present her side of events has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.

    The former co-owner of ‘The Source’ magazine appeared on a recent episode of ‘Drink Champs’ released on Saturday, February 17. During his appearance, he became emotional while speaking on a range of topics.

    Initially, Benzino explained that he has “nothing against” Eminem and congratulates him on all his success. To note, Benzino blasted Eminem with bars after Em’ dropped a diss track aimed at Benzino earlier this year, per The Shade Room. The pair reportedly have been involved in a yearslong standing feud.

    Benzino went on to explain that “every time” he does an interview, he’s asked about Eminem.

    From there, he went on to state that he loves his daughter, Coi Leray. However, he “raised her like any other street n***a.”

    “We gotta be out there gettin’ money for our kids,” he continued. “We can’t raise our kids like Cliff Huxtable.”

    To note, Leray has publicly addressed her father on numerous occasions for allegedly being absent from her childhood, per VIBE.

    At that point, Benzino’s comments seemingly went on to address society at large. He explained that “we’re failing as a people.”

    Sally Beauty reportedly took to TikTok recently to share a video which has now been deleted. In footage chronicled by The Shade Room, a young African American woman is seen promoting a product from the brand.

    The product is called a Cold Vapor Styler flat-iron and seems to use vapor rather than heat to straighten hair.

    “It transforms water into cold vapor for you to use to straighten or curl your hair, which equals less passes, which equals less damage,” she explains.

    The woman then tells viewers that her hair is “really coarse,” explaining that she has textured, 4C hair. From there, she demonstrates using the product on her own strands.

    By the end of the clip, the woman ends up praising Sally Beauty for getting it right with their innovation.

    A mother on Reddit is going viral after seeking advice following a mishap with her breast milk.

    Here’s What Happened With The Mother & Her Breast Milk

    On Wednesday, January 24, Reddit user @Admirable_Medicine71 took to the platform to share a discussion under a forum. The forum is titled “AITA,” which stands for “Am I the a**h**e?” and serves as a space for users to share real-life scenarios and ask fellow users if they’re “in the wrong,” per Golf Digest.

    In the forum, the mother explained that one of her children is fifteen months old. However, she is still nursing him and uses her breastmilk in his cereal and other recipes she makes for him.

    The mother shared that her in-laws are currently staying with her and her family.

    One day, she put her son and his high chair, fed him cereal, and “left him to his own devices.” Additionally, she explained that her father-in-law was also in the kitchen.

    When she returns, she finds her father-in-law finishing her son’s cereal.

    “I laughed a little but went along with my morning,” she continued.

    When she and her in-laws all sat down, her father-in-law commented on the milk in her son’s cereal “tasting weird.” He then asked if she noticed that the milk tasted off.

    “I then told him that he had breastmilk in his, our milk isn’t off,” she wrote.

    More Details On The Father-In-Law’s Reaction

    From there, the mother shared that her father-in-law looked like he was going to “keel over and vomit.” He then asked her why she watched him drink the milk without telling him it was her breast milk.

    The woman’s mother-in-law also agreed and explained how her husband usually “finishes’ everyones meals.”

    Additionally, the mother-in-law agreed that the woman should have been more forthcoming.

    “I do agree that I should have at least told him when he was eating but tbh I thought he saw me tip it from the bottle,” the woman went on to explain. ”

    My husband is on damage control and has agreed with all of us. He understands all povs etc.”

    Ultimately, the woman asked Reddit users, “aita for not telling them I make his cereal with breast milk?”

    The woman’s post elicited thousands of responses from Reddit users. Some also believed that the woman should have been forthcoming with her father-in-law.

    Earthquake appeared as a recent guest on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ for an interview published on Friday, January 26 via YouTube. In the clip, hosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God wasted no time asking the comedian for his thoughts on Williams’ viral sitdown.

    Earthquake explained that Williams’ comments didn’t do “anything” for the comedy industry, because he didn’t tell any jokes.

    “I’m in the joke-telling business, so it didn’t do anything, I think, for comedy,” he said.

    Additionally, the comedian explained that he and Williams were “cool.” So he was unsure of where Williams’ negative commentary toward him came from.

    “Certain things he said about me — half was true. Half was a lie. But to each his own,” he continued.

    The comedian explained that he tries not to pay attention to moments like those because he prefers to have transparent conversations.

    Tristan Thompson has been suspended from the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers after violating the association’s anti-drug policy. According to ESPN, the announcement was made on Tuesday, January 23.

    More Details Regarding Tristan Thompson’s Suspension

    According to the outlet, Thompson tested positive for ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033. ESPN reports that ibutamoren is a growth hormone, while SARM LGD-4033 is a muscle enhancement typically used by bodybuilders and weightlifters.

    Thompson will be suspended for 25 games. Additionally, his suspension will begin on Wednesday, January 24, when the Cavaliers face off against the Milwaukee Bucks.

    ESPN also adds that Thompson will be suspended without pay and has yet to comment on the matter publicly.

    Furthermore, the Cleveland Cavaliers have yet to issue a statement on Thompson’s suspension.

    Tristan Thompson Recently Owned Up To His Cheating “Mistakes”

    As The Shade Room previously reported, Thompson developed a reputation for infidelity after publicly cheating on Khloé Kardashian with her sister Kylie’s best friend Jordyn Woods in 2019.

    A few years later, Thompson would father a child outside of his relationship with Kardashian.

    However, during his latest appearance on the family’s reality show, ‘The Kardashians,’ Thompson appeared to be owning up to his mistakes. The 32-year-old started by sitting down with Khloé Kardashian’s older sister, Kourtney.

    At the time, Thompson explained that he felt “disgusted” after cheating on Khloé. However, he couldn’t elaborate on why the incidents have occurred.

So it’s 100% on me,” Thompson told Kylie Jenner. “I just want to say I’m sorry again for that. Just because life is so short, and it sucks because even though we made our mistakes, sometimes it’s hard to come back from situations like that.”

    A restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia has gone viral after adding a health insurance fee to patrons’ bills. According to the Daily Mail, the establishment is now receiving threats via social media.

    More Details Regarding The Atlanta Restaurant & Why It Went Viral

    On Thursday, January 4, an account with the handle @GAFollowers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a photo of a receipt. The bill was from a family-owned fusion restaurant called JenChan’s.

    Furthermore, the receipt showed a subtotal charge of $50.50 with a $4.49 sales tax charge. However, it also included an additional fee — a “Health Insurance” charge of $2.02.

    The bottom of the receipt featured a note explaining that the health insurance charge is calculated at four percent of the patrons’ subtotal. Additionally, the text explained why the establishment had employed the additional charge.

    “The small percentage does not cover everything but it does allow us to offer ALL of our full time employees health insurance,” the text read. “Our industry is an incredibly difficult one to survive in, the small charge affords our staff the ability to go to the doctor for mental or physical ailments they may face. Thank you for your understanding.”

    Social Media Reacts

    Over the past five days, the tweet has received over 467,000 views and prompted many mixed responses from social media users.

    The Restaurant’s Health Insurance Charge Is Reportedly Optional

    As X users shared their reactions, one with the handle @desota shared that the health insurance charge should be optional for patrons. 

    Then, a second X user, @xKALeeds, hopped in to confirm that the health insurance fee is optional.

    According to Daily Mail, the X user’s claim is correct. JenChan’s reportedly disclosed the optional charge on its menu, outside the establishment, and on the receipt — presumably in a location not pictured in the above viral photo.

    “On your receipt, you will notice 4% health insurance we implemented after our premiums more than tripled last year…

    Please know that we will be more than happy to remove this for you without hesitation,” the restaurant’s disclosure message reportedly reads.

    The outlet adds that outside of the commentary the restaurant has sparked on X, they’ve also received threats from patrons on Facebook.

    “I’ve never seen a family that needs to be beaten up more; make that healthcare come in handy,” one person allegedly wrote on the company’s Facebook page, per Daily Mail.

    However, the restaurant’s owner, Emily Chan, is committed to drawing attention to the “huge crisis going on with healthcare.”

    “We feel like there’s a pretty huge crisis going on with health insurance. No one can afford it. Nothing has worked,” she explained. “

    We just felt like if we put it as a line item, then it would highlight that there’s an issue here, and we need to pay attention to it.”

    According to Fox 10 News, Chan is “not changing a thing” despite the backlash.

    “Not changing a thing. The only thing I would change is if Congress does something, then I can just take that line item off completely and not even worry about it,” she said.
