  • Best Buy’s Black Friday Sale Drops Prices on Some of Our Favorite Tech of the Year

    [ad_1]

Whether you like it or not, Black Friday is here. The holiday shopping season is upon us, and it’s when some of the best deals of the year make their appearance. For Black Friday, Best Buy has really solid tech deals on some of our favorite products we’ve tested and reviewed, ranging from laptops and gaming mice to cordless vacuums. So, whether you’re shopping for the perfect gift for that tech lover in your life or if you’ve been waiting all year for prices to drop on something for yourself, there are a few great options below.

For more great discounts, check out our Best Black Friday Deals roundup and all of our deals coverage here.

Updated November 28: We’ve added the Breville Express Espresso Machine, AirPods Pro 2, and Oura Ring 4.

    The Latest MacBook Pro

The M5 MacBook Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is only a month old, and it’s already on sale. It’s the only Mac so far to receive the upgrade to the latest M5 chip, benefiting from improved performance across the board. In my testing, there was a significant step forward everywhere you looked, including the GPU, the CPU, and the Neural Engine for AI tasks. It’s the GPU that’s seen the biggest leap, though, which should speed up both gaming and creative applications. Other than that, this is the same MacBook Pro you probably already know and love, with its bright mini-LED screen, robust speakers, and extra ports (over the MacBook Air, at least).

This base 14-inch model doesn’t have the incredible value of the MacBook Air or the powerhouse performance of the M4 Pro and M4 Max MacBook Pro. Ultimately, when it comes to which MacBook you should buy, the answer is still the Air. But the M5 versions of these laptops aren’t coming until next year, so if you’re after the latest Apple Silicon in one of the best laptops you can buy, this deal on the M5 MacBook Pro is solid.

    The Best Bluetooth Speaker

    • Photograph: Ryan Waniata

The JBL Flip 7 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is a Bluetooth speaker that has it all. As our A/V reviewer Ryan Waniata says, “JBL’s Flip strikes the perfect compromise between mobility and sound quality, offering clean detail with plenty of punch.” Waniata also praises the durability of the Flip 7, which is important in a Bluetooth speaker meant to be used outdoors. There are tons of different color options to match your vibe, and it gets up to 16 hours of battery life. The increased water resistance means it’ll bring the party wherever you need it. Put simply, it’s the best Bluetooth speaker you can buy, and it’s at a great price.

    Our Favorite Dyson Vacuum

Everyone wants a cordless Dyson vacuum, but they tend to be exorbitantly expensive. It’s still not cheap, but at $300 off, this is as good a deal as we’ve seen on this vacuum. The V15 Detect is our vacuum expert’s favorite Dyson. In her testing, Nena Farrell says she was impressed by how much dust and dirt it sucked up from her carpet, as well as from hard floors. The V15 Detect also comes with an extra sensor that can actually count the number of dust particles. That’s overkill for most people, but if you have severe allergies (or have friends or family that do), the Dyson V15 Detect can actually verify what you’re picking up.

    The Best AirPods Deal

    Apple

    AirPods Pro 2 (With USB-C)

This discount on the AirPods Pro 2 is sold out some other retailers, but it’s still available at Best Buy. These updated AirPods Pro 2 is the model to come out in 2023, introducing the USB-C charging port and water resistance to the already-great pair of noise-canceling earbuds. The price cut to $191 from the retail price of $250 is great, and it’s probably the pair that most people should buy this holiday season. However, I should mention that the newer AirPods Pro 3 launched recently in September, bringing a huge boost to noise canceling, bass, and battery life. It also has the new Live Translation feature. These newer earbuds are $30 off right now, but they cost an extra $30 over the AirPods Pro 2.

The Best TV Deal Right Now

    Photograph: Ryan Waniata

OLED TVs might be the best TVs you can buy, but if you’re shopping for a TV under $1,000 like most people are, the TCL QM6K QLED (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is what you should be eyeing. It’s a 4K mini-LED screen, and our TV reviewers call it “a versatile display that does just about everything well, from naturalistic colors to rich black levels and impressive clarity.” It’s not the brightest TV in the world, but it does come with a 144-Hz refresh rate for gaming and a smart Google TV interface for your streaming needs. There are screen options ranging from 55 inches up to 98 inches, all of which are on sale ahead of Black Friday, with the happy-medium 65-inch model starting at $500.

    The Best MagSafe Power Bank

    Gear-Anker_MagGo_Qi2-SOURCE-Simon-Hill

    Photograph: Simon Hill

    Anker

    MagGo Power Bank (10K) (Qi2)

Most people aren’t using the wireless charging on their iPhone to its full extent. Picking up a MagSafe power bank is a great way to do that, and this one from Anker is our favorite. With a 10,000-mAh battery, it can power up an iPhone to a full charge nearly twice. It even works on Android phones because it supports the Qi2 standard. We also like that it comes with a built-in kickstand and a helpful LED light on the side that tells you how much charge is left. It’s $35 off for Black Friday, bringing it to its lowest price so far.

A Fancy Espresso Maker (That You’ll Love)

Image may contain: Cup, Beverage, Coffee, Coffee Cup, and Espresso

    Breville

    Barista Express Espresso Machine

Don’t let price hold you back from your home barista dreams. $200 off the beloved espresso machine that WIRED editor Julian Chokkattu has been using for seven years without issues. He cites the excellent steam wand, consistent pressure for espresso, and easy cleaning as the top reasons to buy it. But the long-term reliability is its biggest strength. When you drop half a grand on a piece of kitchen tech, you need to know that it won’t need to be replaced in just a few years.

    The Best Headphones

Image may contain: Electronics, Headphones, Dining Table, Furniture, and Table

    Photograph: Ryan Waniata

The best noise-canceling headphones from Sony are also the best wireless headphones you can buy right now. Bags of processing power can silence even the loudest sounds around you, and the included microphones are excellent for Zoom calls. Sound quality is top-notch, with custom-made drivers delivering Sony’s sleek and flat sound.

    A Brilliant USB-C Hub

Image may contain: Adapter, Electronics, Computer, Laptop, Pc, Computer Hardware, Hardware, and Computer Keyboard

    Photograph: Eric Ravenscraft

One of the biggest upgrades you can make to your remote work setup is a solid USB hub or laptop docking station. Most laptops don’t have enough ports, especially not if you’re trying to connect multiple, high-resolution monitors. The plug-and-play nature of this is super helpful, too, as you can have all of your peripherals and accessories connected via USB-C.

While you could just go out and buy any old USB hub, the Satechi Dual Dock Stand has some secrets up its sleeve. First off, it’s designed to prop up your laptop slightly with its wedge shape. My favorite feature, though, is the built-in storage slot. It doesn’t come with an SSD included, but any M.2 SSD will work. It’s a handy feature to have. The best part is the price, which is down to $105, a new low at Best Buy for Black Friday.

    The Best Windows Laptop Deal

Front view of the Asus Zenbook A14 laptop while open with the screen showing abstract art

    Photograph: Christopher Null

Just last week, this laptop cost $1,000. Now it’s down to $550. That’s a 45 percent drop in price. And while I wouldn’t say this laptop is worth $1,000, it’s an absolute steal for $550. The Zenbook A14’s calling card is its weight of just 2.16 pounds. It’s light enough that it’ll make you do a double-take when you pick it up off the table. That makes it an ideal travel companion to lug across campus or on airplanes. Unlike ultra-light laptops in the past, the Zenbook A14 doesn’t have any major compromises in battery life, performance, or keyboard. It even has an OLED screen, as so many Asus laptops do.

    A Cheaper, Better iPad

    • Photograph: Brenda Stolyar

    • Photograph: Brenda Stolyar

This is a great price for the base iPad. But a cheaper iPad is only so good if it’s limited by its software. But with the iPadOS 26 update, you’re also getting a better iPad than ever before. With a more accurate cursor and resizable windows, the iPad is now more like a MacBook than ever before. Multitasking on an iPad has always been a nightmare, but now that you can pull up multiple windows side by side and resize them to your heart’s content. Connect it up with a wireless mouse and keyboard, and you’ve got something that could replace a laptop in a pinch.

    The Best Phone Under $300

Image may contain: Electronics, Phone, and Mobile Phone

    Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

    Motorola

    Moto G Stylus 2025

No one is calling the Moto G Stylus 5G the best phone in the world. In fact, our phone expert (and tech editor extraordinaire, Julian Chokkattu) recommends Nothing’s Phone 3a as the better cheap phone. But the 2025 Moto G Stylus is not only the best Moto G phone you can buy, it also has a lot of high-end features, such as a large 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120-Hz refresh rate. It even has a beautiful blue back, a built-in stylus, and a headphone jack. That’s a lot of uncommon features in a remarkably cheap phone, especially at its discounted pre–Black Friday price.

    The Perfect Travel Partner

    Sony WF-1000XM5 Earbuds

    Courtesy of Sony

These earbuds came out a couple of years ago, but they remain some of the best you can buy. When they came out, Sony’s fifth-generation of high-end wireless earbuds were trimmed down to around 25 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter than the previous generation. You also get two extra full charges from the case, for a total of up to 36 hours of listening. That all makes it the best pair of earbuds for traveling in particular. There’s no compromise in noise canceling either. In fact, our A/V experts say the XM5 has “some of the most advanced functionality in terms of EQ, touch controls, and adaptive noise canceling available on the market.” They’re $100 off the retail price ahead of Black Friday, which is the best discount we’ve ever seen on them.

    The Smartest Android Phone

You can’t go wrong with Google’s brand-new Pixel 10. The smartest of the best Android phones, it boasts genuinely useful AI features, like Call Screen and Now Playing. There’s also an excellent, versatile, triple-camera system that includes a 5X optical zoom for capturing action from afar. There’s Qi2 support for magnetic wireless charging and magnetic accessories. It’s unusual to see a deep discount on this year’s Google flagship, so it’s worth biting.

    An Incredible OLED Gaming Monitor

    Courtesy of Samsung

    Samsung

    Odyssey G6 OLED Gaming Monitor

Samsung makes some of the prettiest gaming monitors, especially in the past couple of years. Within its Odyssey lineup, there’s now just about every size and form factor of monitor you can imagine. The Odyssey G6 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a 27-inch OLED with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a 360-Hz refresh rate, which should be great no matter what game you’re playing. Want extreme frame rates for competitive shooters? You can drop the resolution to 1080p and explore the higher echelon of the 360-Hz refresh rate. For slower-paced single-player games, the 1440p resolution is crisp, and the OLED panel gets you gorgeous HDR in games. It’s $250 off the full price ahead of Black Friday, down now to $650.

    A Dirt-Cheap Chromebook

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

You can’t expect a laptop this cheap to be without compromises. But when it comes to budget Chromebooks, this is as good as it gets. It’s a reasonably affordable and attractive laptop, with lots of ports, decent performance, and a comfortable keyboard. For a Chromebook, the specs aren’t bad either, coming with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Unfortunately, the touchpad isn’t the best, nor is the display. It’s not bright enough, and the colors look off. For a laptop under $300, though, the CX14 should do the trick, especially for a student or a first-time laptop owner.

One Ring to Rule Them All

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

The smart ring space has been quiet this year, perhaps partially because of how fantastic the Oura Ring 4 is. It’s smaller and lighter, feeling more like a proper piece of jewelry than ever before. With new features like fertility tracking, an improved health app, and over three days of battery life, our reviewer Adrienne So was consistently impressed by the upgrade over the previous Oura Ring 3. At $100 off the full price, the Oura Ring 4 is continuing to feel like the only smart ring anyone should buy.

    An Excellent Prebuilt Gaming Desktop

    • Photograph: Luke Larsen

    Alienware

    Aurora Gaming Desktop

With RAM prices skyrocketing, just buying a prebuilt gaming desktop feels like an increasingly smart move, especially at this price. The Alienware Aurora Gaming Desktop is down to just $1,225, coming with an Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti, Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, 32 GB of memory, and 1 TB of storage. That’s cheaper than Dell’s own price for that configuration, but I wouldn’t recommend buying this particular model, as it comes with only a 500-watt power supply. While that’s enough power for the RTX 5060 Ti, you’ll be limited from upgrading to any GPUs more powerful in the future. So, I’d highly recommend buying one of the configurations with the 1,000-watt power supplies, such as the RTX 5070 configuration. Before buying, I’d also recommend comparing prices with Dell.com, as it has some strong deals on particular configurations, such as this RTX 5070 Ti model for just $1,000.

    A Gaming Mouse

    Corsair

    Scimitar Elite Wireless SE

If you play MMOs, you know how useful it is to map various actions to buttons on your keyboard or mouse. Well, this gaming mouse from Corsair gives you a ton of options to customize your gameplay. There are 12 reprogrammable side buttons, but the mouse also has a high 33,000-dpi optical sensor and 1,000-Hz polling for low input lag and high responsiveness. It can connect via a 2.4-GHz dongle instead of Bluetooth, too.

    A Mesh Wi-Fi System

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

    • Photograph: Simon Hill

Everyone could use faster and more reliable Wi-Fi, right? This high-performing, tri-band, Wi-Fi 7 mesh is the runner-up in our Best Mesh guide. You’ll get lightning-fast speeds on the 6-GHz band at close range. Each unit has plenty of ports (one 10 Gbps Ethernet port, one 2.5 Gbps port, a Gigabit port, and a USB 3.0 port), and the Deco app is very easy to use. The possibility of a TP-Link ban in the US might put you off, or it might encourage you to pull the trigger now.

    • Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

Google’s brand-new Pixel 10 is one of the best Android phones on the market right now—it’s rare to find a phone at this price, especially on sale, with a triple-camera system that includes a 5X optical zoom sensor. 5X! That means you won’t have trouble capturing sharp photos of birds up in the tree, your kid earning their diploma, or your favorite artist onstage. Not to mention this is one of the first flagship Android phones with Qi2 magnets, meaning, like Apple’s iPhones, you can magnetically attach the phone to wireless chargers and docks for speedy charging (and attach various fun magnetic accessories). Best of all is Google’s smart software; yes, there’s a lot of generative AI creep that isn’t super useful, but tools like Call Screen can filter out spam calls, and Now Playing automatically tells you what song is playing at the coffee shop without you having to lift a finger. Dyson

    HushJet Purifier Compact

The debut of Dyson’s first tabletop-sized air purifier was just announced in September; it’s finally here, and we’ve tried it. Its claim to fame is that it uses electrostatic filtration, which incorporates electrically charged plates to attract dust, pollen, dander, and other allergens. In our guide to the Best Air Purifiers, WIRED contributor Lisa Wood Shapiro notes this means the filter can last up to five years, as opposed to six to 12 months like a typical HEPA. It toasts evenly across the oven and can air fry chicken wings to admirable crispness, dehydrate fruit, and also roast a 14-pound turkey. The Breville Joule—the same oven, but with a handy autopilot feature— is on almost the same sale, and it’s $400. Both are the cheapest they’ve been this year. But this $300 price, for an oven I know to serve well for years, is hard to pass up. Matthew Korfhage

    KBGV Select Coffee Maker

The Moccamaster KBGV drip coffee machine is a rare combination of qualities. It is an absolute tank, a forever resident of WIRED’s highly selective buy-it-for-life list with a five-year warranty, replaceable parts, and lifetime repairability. But it is also a creature of remarkable precision, hand assembled in the Netherlands to produce some of the cleanest cups of drip coffee I’ve tasted. As someone in the coffee industry what’s on their counter. There’s a good chance they say Moccamaster. It’s more than $100 off right now (different colors have different discounts). Matthew Korfhage

Best Espresso Deal: Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro for $600 ($150 Off)

The Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro is the upgrade version of Ninja’s first-gen semi-automatic Luxe Cafe Premier espresso machine, which rocketed to become one of the most popular espresso machines on the planet last year. The Pro is a genuine upgrade: a better tamper, a hot water spout, a great milk automatic steamer, and the best cold frother in the business. This is the lowest price I’ve seen it, and while supplies last you can also get a free travel mug, knock box, or pitcher. Best for lovers of medium or dark roast beans. —Matthew Korfhage

Best Smartwatch/Fitness Tracker Deal: Apple Watch Series 10 for $310 ($120 off)

Two views of an Apple Watch Series 10, a smartwatch on someone's wrist, showing the difference of the screen in direct and indirect sunlight

    Photograph: Adrienne So

If you already own an Apple Watch, I generally do not advocate upgrading to the latest model, given they’re all pretty iterative. I do think that this year’s Series 11 is worth getting because, for the first time ever, it really does have a full 24 hours of battery life. But last year’s Series 10 (Apple’s 10th anniversary watch) has the same S10 chip as the latest watches. It also has the same slim case, large screen, and is compatible with watchOS 26 (with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone), so you can still enjoy the Liquid Glass design, Workout Buddy, and flick away Smart Stack with your wrist. —Adrienne So

How Does WIRED Find the Best Deals?

We spend our entire working lives testing products and, in part, tracking how much they cost. That way, we can spot a good deal from one that’s just a markdown of an artificially inflated price (a practice far too common, sadly). We also use price-checking tools like Camelcamelcamel, but since we only cover items we’ve actually tested, it’s not that hard for us to keep track of prices and know what’s a good deal and what’s not.

What Is the Best Time to Shop?

In a word: now. The best Black Friday deals are happening right now, and we’ve rounded up our favorites in this guide. In the olden days, Black Friday was just one day long. Shoppers would camp outside of stores, paper circulars in hand, eagerly awaiting the chance to bust down some doors and save a ton of cash. Fast-forward to the internet, and now Black Friday lasts more or less the entire month of November.

    Black Friday Retailers To Watch

Amazon: For better or worse, Amazon has changed the game when it comes to shopping—if you want it, Amazon probably sells it. In the tradition of Amazon Prime Day, Amazon is rolling out major discounts for Black Friday and Cyber Monday on everything from bedding to home office gear to TVs to air fryers. This is a good time to save on the brand’s own hardware, like Kindles and Blink security cameras, some of which are 50% off.

Walmart: The Arkansas-based big box store has lots of tech deals like the gray colorway of Beats Solo4 for $79 ($50 off) plus the home and garden deals you’d expect like a Blackstone griddle for $157 ($67 off).

REI: Outdoor co-op REI is a favorite among hikers, campers, and general outdoor enthusiasts. REI’s cyber week sale starts November 29, with rotating deals on a myriad of WIRED-tested products, though you will find their deals live now, notably not called “Black Friday.”

Home Depot: Home improvement projects and general home upkeep can get costly quick. Home Depot has Black Friday discounts for virtually everything you need for the home, including Christmas trees and smart home appliances.

Branch: We love Branch’s home office furniture, including some WIRED-tested favorite office chairs. Everything is 20 percent off for Black Friday, so now’s a great time to upgrade.

Helix: We love Helix mattresses—if you’re going to be spending a third of your life on something, it better be good. Upgrade your sleep for less with Helix’s Black Friday sale, with 25 percent off sitewide.

Target: Target has everything from groceries to flat screens to celebrity-endorsed beauty products. In addition to regular Black Friday sales, Target has price match guarantee and doorbuster clearance items.

Best Buy: In addition to major discounts for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Best Buy rolls out new doorbusters every Friday, slashing prices on everything from refrigerators to MacBooks. We’ve rounded up the best Best Buy deals we’ve seen so far, including the latest Apple MacBook Pro (M5) for $1,349 ($250 off) and Google Pixel 10 for $599 ($200 off).

Dyson: Making everything from blow dryers to vacuums to air purifiers, we at WIRED are generally huge fans of this well-made, long-lasting (but often pricey) tech, made a lot more affordable with Black Friday sales.

Lowe’s: In addition to Black Friday sales, Lowe’s has rotating daily deals on home improvement essentials, upgraded appliances, and outdoor tools like grills and lawnmowers.

Atlas: At WIRED, we love caffeine, and subscription services. So we go bonkers for this coffee club subscription, and now you can get a free bag of beans for Black Friday.

Sephora: Not only does Sephora have a dizzying amount of cosmetics, it also carries some of our favorite WIRED-tested hair straighteners, blow dry brushes, and LED devices.

Your Black Friday clothing deal FAQs, answered:

    Why you can trust me:

As Senior Fashion Commerce Writer here at Glamour, I get a heads-up on what all the Black Friday deals will be before anyone else. Thanks to my extensive list of PR contacts, I’m one of the first in line to be notified when embargoes lift too – so, as soon as I’m allowed to tell you (the general public) anything, I do.

Below, you’ll notice a fairly exclusive list of brands. These aren’t the only fashion brands that have started their Black Friday deals early, obviously, but they’re ones that I’ll be shopping personally; have the best discounts; wear well; and that I’ve tested before. Rest assured I’d never recommend you a brand I wouldn’t buy from myself, even if they’re on sale.

How to shop more sustainably on Black Friday and Cyber Monday:

It’s no secret that Cyber Week is a bit of a breeding ground for unsustainable shopping habits, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s 3 tips on how to be more conscious when you shop the best Black Friday deals:

    1. Make a wishlist. Even if it’s on Black Friday/Cyber Monday itself, going in with a list of what you want and how much you’re willing to spend is always helpful – plus it prevents unnecessary purchases.
    2. Check the compositions of what you’re buying. Does the item contain a lot of plastic? If so, is at least recycled? Consider opting for something made with more environmentally friendly materials if not.
    3. Treat yourself, but think about who’s on your list for Christmas too. Clothing/fashion/accessories make for some great gifts for men, gifts for teenage girls, stocking filler ideas and so on.

When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025?

The question on everyone’s lips: when is Black Friday this year? Black Friday 2025 falls on Friday 28th November, with Cyber Monday following on (shock) Monday 1st December.

Sales don’t need to be a cause for dread, or purchase-regret, either. If you favour capsule wardrobe staples (I’m talking loafers, blazers, jeans and classic white t-shirts) over fleeting trends, you can be the proud owner of the best high street staples and investment designer pieces from classic and upcoming retailers for a fraction of their usual price. It’s also a great opportunity to upgrade your festive outfit collection with party dresses, sequin dresses and more.

What is Black Friday? What is Cyber Monday?

Black Friday is the biggest shopping event of the year. It originated in America and first came to the UK back in 2010. Over the course of the past ten years it has grown exponentially, and you can now grab a discount (or three) from a whole plethora of fashion brands. A thrifty way of getting your Christmas shopping done before December hits. Cyber Monday is the Monday that follows Black Friday and often marks the last day of sales for a lot of brands.

The likes of Mango, H&M, Nike, The North Face and New Balance all take part in Black Friday and Cyber Monday, offering flash sales, discounts and deals on their best products. So it’s a great opportunity for those who are into fashion to save money.

  • The Pod Coffee Makers I Use Every Day Are on Sale for Black Friday

    [ad_1]

Pod coffee makers are contentious, but I love them. I’m a big fan of getting caffeine into my system as quickly as possible upon waking up. While I can understand the ritual and ceremony behind crafting a fancy cappuccino or pulling the perfect espresso shot, my morning self simply cannot be bothered. If you, too, believe in the power of the pod, there are tons of pod coffee maker deals for Black Friday.

Make sure to check out our roundup of the Best Black Friday Coffee Deals for more discounts on WIRED-tested gear. Want a wider range of deals? Check out the Absolute Best Black Friday Deals roundup and our Black Friday liveblog.

    WIRED Featured Deals:

Bruvi BV-01 Brewer Bundle for $198 ($150 off)

    Photograph: Louryn Strampe

The Bruvi BV-01 is my favorite pod-style coffee maker. It’s cute as a button, with clean and simple lines and an aesthetically pleasing design that should match any kitchen decor. I like the large touchscreen interface and the built-in wastebasket. My favorite part, though, is that the proprietary B-Pods are biodegradable and designed to break down in a landfill. I don’t have to worry about specialty recycling or sending the pods off somewhere to be processed. And yes, the resulting beverage is good, too, be it coffee, tea, or “espresso.” (Sale price with coupon.)

Ninja DualBrew Pro for $150 ($90 off)

    Ninja

    DualBrew Pro Specialty Coffee System

Sometimes a pod will do, and sometimes you want a whole pot of coffee. Rather than sacrifice double the counter space, consider the Ninja DualBrew Pro. This pod coffee maker can be used with K-Cups or coffee grounds that you supply, and in addition to brewing individual cups of coffee, you can also make entire carafes. There’s a built-in milk frother, though you’ll need to warm the milk separately, and you can also brew directly over ice if you prefer your coffee cold. While the machine is on the large side, I like that you can reposition the water reservoir to make it fit your countertop more efficiently.

Keurig K-Café Smart Single Serve Coffee Maker for $150 ($50 off)

    • Photograph: Louryn Strampe

    • Photograph: Louryn Strampe

    • Photograph: Louryn Strampe

    Keurig

K-Café Smart Single Serve Coffee Maker

This is the pod coffee maker I find myself reaching for most often. My entire family loves it, partially thanks to the built-in milk steamer that can warm and whip up milk for specialty beverages like lattes. I can make my nearly black coffee, and my little sister can make her fancy syrupy-sweet foamy whatsits, with no specialty tools or time spent setting anything up. It’s easy to use, with on-board controls that let you choose a capacity and a strength, and a large reservoir that you won’t need to refill often. The brewer will intelligently identify compatible K-Cups and suggest recipes in the optional app, but I personally found the app pretty annoying. Thankfully, it isn’t necessary to get the most out of this machine.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ with Aeroccino Milk Frother for $129 ($50 off)

Image may contain: Cup, Beverage, Coffee, and Coffee Cup

    Photograph: Louryn Strampe

    Nespresso

Vertuo Pop+ Brewer and Aeroccino 3 Frother Bundle

Technically, Nespresso brewers don’t reach high enough pressure levels to brew true espresso. But the many different espresso pod varieties result in an espresso-like beverage with more bite and body than drip coffee. There are also pods for plain ol’ coffee, and I liked them both. I’m personally not partial to flavored brews, but my co-testers were fans of Nespresso’s almond, caramel, and mocha Vertuo varieties. I think this pod coffee machine could be more user-friendly—it took me a second to figure out how to insert a pod—but I like that the capsules are recyclable, and that the machine collects its own waste. This deal comes bundled with an Aeroccino milk frother that can help elevate your morning drink of choice. I’d be remiss not to mention the rainbow of color options for this machine, most of which are on sale for Black Friday.

  • The Best GoPro and Camera Deals for Black Friday

    [ad_1]

If you’re in the market for a new camera, this holiday season is the time to buy. There are some great Black Friday camera deals available right now, including one on our favorite GoPro, the GoPro Hero 13 Black. There are plenty of other GoPro camera deals, along with some good buys on cameras from Insta360, DJI, Fujifilm, and more.

For more info about action cams, check out our complete guide. Also, be sure to read our guide to the Best GoPros, Best 360 Cameras, Best Instax Cameras, Best Travel Cameras, and Best Mirrorless Cameras. Head to our full roundup for more Black Friday deals.

Updated November 28: We’ve added a new section of mirrorless camera deals, along with a deal on Polaroid’s latest Now camera.

Do You Need a New Camera?

Probably not. Probably what you need to do is spend a lot more time with the one you have, but if buying a new camera makes you feel like maybe you’re getting better at photography, far be it for me to stop you. Hitting too close to home? I feel you. I mean I want a new camera. I want the Sony A7C R, which is an amazing camera. The autofocus is light year’s ahead of my A7R II, the sensor is bigger, the dynamic range is better, and it’s smaller and lighter. What’s not to love? But it isn’t going to instantly make me take better pictures.

To make better images you have to spend time at it. It takes practice, shooting everyday, even if you only have 10 minutes. Walk around the neighborhood and play with different compositions, try shooting in ways you normally don’t. Experiment with different light at different times of the day. Just get out an shoot more. Most of it will be garbage, but you’ll be learning.

If you need a new camera to get you to do that, then carry on, there are some truly great deals to be had right now.

GoPro did not release a new model of its Hero action camera this year. Last year’s Hero 13 is still the latest, but it’s on sale for Black Friday anyway. Last year’s GoPro Hero 13 was the first significant change for GoPro’s flagship action camera in many years. The company added an interchangeable lens system, along with Macro, Ultra Wide, and Anamorphic lenses, plus a set of four neutral density filters. The new interchangeable lens system opens up shooting possibilities that simply don’t exist with other action cameras. For some reason, this camera often gets overlooked. It’s just fun to shoot with.

I think the slickest part of the Hero 13’s new lens and filter system is that the Hero 13 Black autodetects which lens is attached and changes the Hero 13’s settings accordingly. This is especially nice for those who don’t want to fiddle with fine-tuning their camera settings every time they change lenses or pop on a neutral density filter. I’ve been using all three lenses for over a year now, and they’re all nice, but the Ultra Wide is my favorite. I mainly use my GoPro to shoot from the handlebars of my bike, so the wider the shot, the better and more immersive the footage becomes, hence my love of the Ultra Wide. The Hero Black ultrawide edition is also on sale.

Everything that made GoPro a household name is here as well, with industry-leading hypersmooth stabilization, all kinds of helpful shooting modes, and support for GoPro’s Quik app. Also note that if you buy through gopro.com, the company includes a year’s worth of GoPro Premium, the company’s subscription cloud storage service. If the GoPro has a shortcoming, it’s the battery life. It’s OK, but not great. I suggest grabbing an extra battery.

So, given that there was no Hero 14 this year, how future-proof is the Hero 13? I would say very future-proof. I will admit, the newly announced DJI Action 6, which has a variable aperture lens, is very interesting, but it’s still an automated aperture rather than giving you a full aperture priority mode. I’m also a little leery of DJI products, given the ban on imports that starts December 23, 2025. The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 below is also on sale, and I do love that camera as well, especially with the new accessories that turn it into something more like a point-and-shoot. But in the end, when I head out the door for a ride, or a paddle, or, right now, some snowshoeing, the action camera I reach for remains the GoPro Hero 13 Black.

    Other Great Action Camera Deals

    DJI

    Osmo Action 5 Pro

Our top pick action camera for most people, the Action 5 is a great option. It has better battery life than the Hero 13, and better low light performance, though do keep in mind that support in the US will be limited after December 23, 2025.

    Insta360

    Ace Pro 2

If you’re going to turn your action camera on yourself, the Ace Pro 2 is our top pick for vlogging. It has a great lens and sensor co-engineered with Leica, capable of recording 8K video at up to 30 fps. My only gripe is the lack of 10-bit color, but unless you’re doing your color in post, you won’t miss it.

    The Best 360 Camera Deal

    • Photograph: Scott Gilbertson

    • Photograph: Scott Gilbertson

The GoPro Max 2 is the best 360 camera you can buy, and it’s currently $100 off. The dual 14 mm (35 mm equivalent) lenses of the Max 2 each record to a 1/2.3-inch chip, the largest available in a 360 camera. This gives what GoPro calls “True 8K” video, by which the company means that the actual recorded area of the sensor is 8K, whereas other 360 cameras have an 8K sensor, but only record about 6K or 7K worth of that sensor as the actual image. The short story is that the Max 2’s video is sharper and clearer. Couple this with support for 10-bit color in Log files, and you have footage that the competition just can’t match.

    Other 360 Camera Deals

    Insta360

    X5 360 Camera

Our former top pick, the Insta360 X5 is still an excellent 360 camera. It uses twin 1/1.28″ sensors to capture very near 8K video. The dynamic range is impressive, and the color science here is very good though it does tend toward the oversaturated.

    Insta360

    X4 360 Camera

This is the best price you’re going to see on a 360 camera. The Insta360 X4 has been superseded by the X5, but it’s still a great camera. The video quality is the same resolution as the X5 (8K), but it lacks the X5’s updated sensors, processor, and improved color options.

    A Fun, Screen-Free Digital Camera

A hand holding up a pink Camp Snap Digital Camera

    Photograph: Nena Farrell

What if there were a film camera that captured digital images? That’s what the Camp Snap camera is, the screen-free aspect means that, like film, you don’t know how your images look until later— you can keep photographing without getting pulled out of the moment as much. The Camp Snap can hold up to 2,000 photos on the preinstalled memory card, and it comes with a USB-C cable to download the photos onto your computer. This one is a fun gift to give too.

The Best Deals on Instant Cameras

Front view of black instant film camera with the lens extended

    Photograph: B&H Photo

Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 99 is the best Instax camera for those who love manual controls and creative effects. The Mini 99 offers some manual focus and exposure controls, as well as some fun color effects, like the ability to simulate light leaks just like those thrift store cameras collecting dust on your shelf. There are two dials on top of the Mini 99. One acts like an exposure compensation dial, allowing you to adjust exposure value (EV) two stops brighter and two stops darker. I found the L (Lighten) and L+ useful when shooting against snow, which has a tendency to overwhelm small sensors like this one. It’s also good for strongly backlit scenes, though those are still not Instax’s strong suit. The Mini 99 has a 60-mm lens made of plastic. It works out to roughly the same field of view as a 35-mm lens in 35-mm format (or if you prefer, somewhere between 1x and 2x on your iPhone). The shutter is fixed at f/12.7, which means you’ll be relying on the flash in all but bright, sunny, outdoor shots. That said, unlike quite a few other Instax models, with the Mini 99 you can turn off the flash for those well-lit shots, and that means far fewer washed-out images.

Image may contain: Camera, Digital Camera, and Electronics

    Courtesy of Polaroid

Polaroid’s standard Now camera is close enough to the classic Polaroid that you probably won’t notice the difference. The Gen 3 version is an incremental update of the Gen 2, bringing better auto focus and improved flash. Otherwise, it’s the same basic design we love, with a nice chunky body and easy-to-find buttons.

    Other Instant Camera Deals

    Fujifilm

    Instax Mini 12

This one is nearly always on sale for Black Friday. It’s our pick for best budget Instax as it manages to be a capable, but easy-to-use camera wrapped in a colorful, bubbly design aimed at beginners.

    Fujifilm

    Instax Mini 41

The Mini 41 is essentially the Mini 12 in a different body. Same capabilities, but looking more like a “camera” should.

    Deals on Mirrorless Cameras

Front of the Nikon ZF camera

    Photograph: Scott Gilbertson

    Nikon

    Zf Mirrorless Camera

The Nikon Zf is the camera I would buy if I were in the market for a new camera. It’s all about the knobs and dials. Every setting you need to make an image is accessible on a dial or knob: ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation. There’s also a switch to change shooting modes and another to change to black-and-white mode or video mode. Pair that with a great 24-MP sensor and reasonably fast autofocus speeds, and you have a fantastic, reasonably priced camera. The best deal of the bunch here is Adorama’s lens bundle, which comes with a charger, memory card, lens filters, and cleaning kit.

    Other Mirrorless Camera Deals

    Sony

    A7RV

This deal is so good at has its own full write up. This is Sony’s top-of-the-line mirrorless camera at the lowest price it’s ever been. If you’ve been wanting to upgrade, now is the time.

    Sony

    A7 IV Camera

This is also a great deal on a more hybrid camera, with some video-extras, like 4K/30 fps video oversampled from a 7K sensor region. Be aware that the rumor mill says this one is due for an update, but it’s still a great camera, especially at this price.

The Best Deals on Our Favorite Photo Printing Services

A photograph isn’t a photograph until you print it. Strong words, but I’ll stand by them. Luckily, there are some great deals right now that will let you print your images without spending a fortune.

    Person's hand holding printed photographs

    Photograph: Mpix

Our favorite place to print photos is holding a 30 percent off sale on its print services. Mpix makes high-quality prints at a reasonable price, even when it’s full price, which makes this a great deal. Mpix prints on Kodak Endura paper and offers a variety of paper options. I tested the E-surface, which renders rich, deep blacks and true-to-life colors. It holds up well over time; the images we printed in 2013 look exactly like they did when we got them. We also like Mpix’s books and calendars.

If you need to print gifts for your family, Shutterfly is having a sitewide 50 percent off sale. We’re fans of Shutterfly’s book printing service, which had the best results so far in our testing of photo printing services. We also like the calendars. The printing is good enough, especially for the price, and shipping is generally speedy.

The highest-quality prints in our testing came from Adorama’s Printique service. It would be the top pick in our print services guide if it were a bit cheaper, which, with this deal, it is. You can choose from a range of papers, and they’re listed by their actual names, like Kodak Endura or Fujifilm Matte. I also like the option to print the date and file name on the back of each image.

  • ‘ I have never had an issue with mine’: Woman buys ‘leakproof’ Owala water bottle. Then she puts it in bag with her $2,000 MacBook

    [ad_1]

Placing a water bottle tumbler in a bag can be risky. Any movement can be a game of spillage roulette, ruining any valuables inside. Unfortunately, one learned that ‘leakproof’ isn’t always foolproof after she placed her Owala in the same pocket as her MacBook, which resulted in a hefty price.

The seven-second clip shows TikTok creator Laurie (@laurienadeau61) with her hand on her forehead, devastated. “POV: your ‘leakproof’ Owala leaked (aka FLOODED it) in your bag,” she writes in the text overlay.

“Now your $2k MacBook Pro no longer works, and you don’t have access to any of your notes or papers anymore a few days before exams,” she adds. Then, the content creator flips the camera to reveal her MacBook with its screen frozen on a Word document.

Needless to say, the incident distressed Laurie. “@Owala I just wanted an A+ on my next exam, I’m screwed now,” she expresses in the caption.

    Viewers were empathetic

The video racked up over 219,000 views. Many in Laurie’s comments section resonated with her, sharing their own experiences with Owalas drowning their belongings.

“I bought one to travel with and leaked allll over first use. I’m [sure] traumatized,” one viewer revealed.

“This exact thing happened to me. My heart goes out to you,” a second commented.

“It happened to me with my ipad where I have all my notes and projects,” a third echoed.

How can ‘leakproof’ Owala tumblers spill?

Due to experience, others proposed how this could’ve happened.

“I found that my owala would only leak when I would fill all the way to the top. So I only fill it up till the end of where I say the cap ends when it’s tightened on. Because I have tried at least 3 times and it will leak if I fill it all the way to the top,” one commenter explained.

“Mine did this too but bc something pushed on the button and it opened slightly,” another stated.

Essentially, Owalas are leak-free due to their screw-top lid, rubber gasket on the mouthpiece, and rubber stopper, Yahoo states. On the other hand, several factors can cause spills, such as adding hot, carbonated liquids or accidentally bumping the unlock button, according to Owala’s website. The brand recommends keeping tumblers away from other objects and covering the button to prevent this.

However, if none of these are the culprits, it may be a missing piece. In August, one Florida-based mother learned that a missing stopper was causing her daughter’s Owala to leak. From what she allegedly witnessed, it could’ve been a case of customers pulling switcheroos to customize their own tumblers, a popular phenomenon at Target. Other factors can include damaged or unclean pieces and improper securing.

  • Your ultimate guide to the best K-Beauty Black Friday deals – from Anua to Dr.Jart+

    [ad_1]

The best Korean skincare Black Friday deals are here early, and boy are they good. As a beauty writer, I test the latest launches across moisturisers, toners, serums, devices, and more – so trust me when I say, the K-beauty ones are worth it.

“I fell in love with this moisturiser the minute I tried it. • The Nothing (1) Headset Is Discounted for Black Friday

    [ad_1]

If you’re looking for an excellent pair of over-ear headphones that stand out in both their sound quality and looks, the Nothing Headphone (1) is currently marked down to just $239 on Amazon, a 20 percent discount from its usual price. It’s one of our favorite wireless headsets, earning the title “Best Looking” while still sounding almost as good as some headsets at twice the price.

    • Photograph: Parker Hall

    • Photograph: Parker Hall

    • Photograph: Parker Hall

The Nothing Headphone (1) has basically every feature you’d expect from a much higher-end offering, including high-resolution audio, the ability to connect to and remember multiple devices, and even object-based surround for watching a movie on a long flight. They’re all controlled through the Nothing app, which is available for both iOS and Android.

Sound quality is excellent, partially thanks to a collaboration with British speaker maker KEF, and these 40-mm drivers have excellent low-mid performance that gives them a unique pop. The soundstage isn’t quite as expansive as some of the very best, but it gets most of the way there without costing nearly as much. Similarly, the active noise canceling doesn’t match the performance on the big hitters like Sony or Bose, but excellent fit and passive isolation pick up the slack.

They have quite a few thoughtful design touches that make them easy to love. A small red dot on the right ear cup makes sure they always go on your head the right way, rather than trying to read a little letter on the inside of a band. The physical controls, a clicky wheel and a flicky knob, combine to open up a surprising amount of interaction, which our reviewer Parker Hall called “some of the best and most intuitive controls ever designed.”

I spotted the deal on Amazon in both the black and white, and while looks are subjective, I think the white pair look pretty dang sweet. If you’re still not sure, pop over to our roundup of the best noise-canceling headphones to help you tune out the sounds of your holiday travel. Just know that you’re unlikely to find a pair that will draw as many jealous looks as these.

  • Black Friday deal seekers hit the mall early: ‘It’s one of the traditions’

    [ad_1]

Plenty of people were getting their holiday shopping done as dawn broke on Black Friday in Massachusetts.

Eloise Lee and her mom Jennifer showed up at Braintree’s South Shore Plaza mall as it opened at 6 a.m.

“A lot of people online shop now and I feel like Black Friday is just a fun thing to do. It’s an exciting time to shop and wake up early,” Eloise said.

Her mother said she was shopping for Eloise and her sister, and, when asked if she was going to hide her Black Friday purchases, replied, “I’m not actually good at secrets!”

Plenty of others braved the morning crowds, which Eloise said she didn’t mind, for the same reason: tradition.

“We got here at 4:30 this morning,” Anthony Petrucci said. “It’s one of the traditions. It used to be 12 o’clock but now, since everything opens at 6, it’s 4:30, you know.”

Amy Batth remembers the days of camping outside stores and midnight lines

“I was 8 years old and I was with my parents and I remember, I vividly remember this. I’m, like, rushing through every single store,” she said.

Batth described Black Friday shopping today as “drastically different.”

Still, South Shore Plaza was bracing for big crowds Friday.

“We’re expecting more traffic. We’re trending up so far this year in our traffic and we expect that to continue into the holiday season,” said Allan Smith, the mall’s general manager.

Across the country, a record 186.9 million people are planning to shop from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, according to the National Retail Foundation, up 3 million from last year.

The organization says clothes and accessories tend to top the list of gift shopping, followed by gift cards and toys.

  • 5 Easy Outfit Formulas for the Holiday Party Season

    [ad_1]

It must be said that the holiday season tends to bring out more cliché than chic. Year after year, there’s an avalanche of red dresses, glittery tinsel trims, and novelty pieces destined to gather dust come January. Yet, this wintry stretch also offers more opportunities to get dressed up than any other, from office outings to elegant soirées and everything in between. Rather than panic-buying something that screams “festive,” consider indulging the spirit of the season with a bit more intention. Think feathers for a formal night out, rich brocades that feel celebratory without being costume-y, or an indulgent coat that elevates any ensemble (even pajamas). This is, after all, the one time of year when sartorial boldness is encouraged—you can get away with more at a holiday party than almost anywhere else. Below, shop five festive outfit ideas that don’t sacrifice style.

    Formal Festivities

Dare to wear the unexpected to your next holiday fete. If the invitation reads “cocktail attire” or higher, consider something with a little flash, like Proenza Schoulers’s sequined heels, grounded by an LBD by Jil Sander (adorned with feathers, of course). A sumptuous velvet pouch and gilded statement earrings make for frothy (and fashion-forward) partywear.

    From Desk ‘til Dawn

You’re likely heading to your job’s holiday party from, well, your job. Instead of splurging on an entirely new outfit, freshen up your usual workwear with a bow blouse and party-ready pumps. Pop on a red lip at your desk before vacating the office and you’re good to go.

    Cool Intentions

Let’s say your fabulous cousin is throwing a Friendsgiving at their place upstate—you’ll want to bring something that’s subtly festive, perhaps even holiday-adjacent. Consider playing with materials: moiré and brocade don’t feel over-the-top, but still bear a level of luxury. You’ll want to wear these Widerhoeft separates well into the new year.

    The In-Law Formula

There’s a reason the skirt-and-sweater combo has become a perennial favorite. For partying with the in-laws, it’s the perfect mix of business on top, party on the bottom.

    Sleepy Chic

What could be chicer for a cozy holiday party at home with friends than crisp poplin pajamas topped with extra-luxe outerwear? Bonus points for a pillbox hat—which, in our estimation, is a must.

  • The 36 Best Jewelry Gifts for the 2025 Holidays

    [ad_1]

Photographed by Sebastian Lager, styled by Christina Holevas

We may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article.

Jewelry gifts have a way of feeling both intimate and momentous. When it comes to earrings, necklaces, rings, and other baubles, the cliché holds up: good things really do come in small packages. In fact, the teenier the box under the tree, the bigger the payoff. Inside, there could be an iconic Elsa Peretti cuff from Tiffany (in either silver or gold), diamond drop earrings from Sidney Garber (for the one on your list who loves a little glamour), or a sculptural ear clip from Alaïa (for your fashion-loving sister). Is there anything as thrilling as receiving for the holidays a Chanel 18-karat beige gold ring with diamonds from the Coco Crush collection, or a glimmering rose gold necklace from Prada’s recently launched jewelry line? We’d argue that little else comes close.

This season, we’ve pulled together a collection of pieces that show taste as much as thoughtfulness—heirloom-worthy classics, bold statements, and everything in between. Consider this your guide to the presents that will glisten long after the lights come down.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 builds thoughtfully on its predecessor with a familiar, comfortable design, vibrant sound, and top-tier noise cancellation. New features are subtle but useful, including the ability to wake and unpair the headphones by simply putting them on or laying them flat. The updates also bring lossless audio over USB-C, a dedicated Cinema mode, and more natural ambient sound controls. Combined with a slight battery improvement, these refinements make the Ultra 2 a compelling package.

While among the most expensive wireless headphones, Apple’s AirPods Max deliver fantastic sound with rich bass, a massive soundstage, and excellent noise cancellation. A standout feature is the large, Apple Watch-like knob for easy volume control. They offer seamless integration with iOS devices and excel with video, using head tracking in certain apps to simulate immersive, object-based surround sound. It’s great for Netflix on flights, though they are a bit heavy.

I’m a fan of these distinctive transparent over-ear headphones, which boast one of the most satisfying physical volume controls I’ve used. Their sound profile was expertly tuned by the renowned hi-fi company KEF.

It’s no accident that Sony’s headphones are consistently ranked among the best. The WH-1000XM5, while an older model, continue to be one of the finest pairs of wireless noise-canceling headphones you can buy.

Bose continues to defend its noise-canceling crown with the QuietComfort Ultra 2, which builds on a foundation of excellent fit and bold sound. This iteration introduces welcome refinements like wireless charging and more customizable audio. Its phenomenal noise reduction bests the previous model, silencing everything from keyboard clicks to low rumbles. Enhanced processing creates a detailed and immersive soundscape from the same drivers.

  • Our favorite Black Friday 2025 deals will leave you way cozier for way less

    [ad_1]

This post is from our friends at Gee Thanks.

It’s here! A shopping lover’s idea of paradise. And while we know your Black Friday wishlist is probably already a mile long, here are a few more deals that are genuinely hard to resist.

Most of these exclusive, cult-loved items almost never go on sale, so if you’ve been eyeing them, now’s the time to snag ’em. Over the next week, you’ll see the lowest prices of the year. We’ve curated tried-and-true Geezer favorites and Caroline Picks™ to get you started.

Happy Black Friday shopping. Take Caroline’s advice and make a plan. And then make sure to go at least a little wild.

MERIT | Five Minute Morning Set | 32% Off

Starting with a bang! You get Merit’s best-sellers in one bag: the lightweight foundation stick, the flush balm, the highlighting balm, the brow gel, the mascara, and their lip oil that somehow looks good on absolutely everyone. And you get it for 32% less. The formulas are vegan, blendable like butter, and very “did my makeup in five minutes but still look radiant.” It’s the set people buy once and then immediately gift to someone else they want to impress. “My skin is super happy with this set!” one Geezer said. “And I feel so put together when I do it.”

    Shop at Merit

PRINTFRESH | Eco Satin PJ Set | 25% Off

A longtime Geezer winner and Caroline Pick for 2025. “I wish I’d never been introduced to Printfresh,” said one. “I love their PJs SO much. The eco satin is my fav.” If you want fun printed pajamas that feel like a treat but still wash well, this is the pair. The recycled satin has that soft, drape-y slip feel, but without the snaggy, plasticky vibe that cheap satin gets. And of course, Printfresh prints are bold and fun enough to win Best Dressed at a pajama party.

    Shop at Printfresh

    J.CREW | Oversized Cashmere Wrap | 39% Off

This is J.Crew’s GOAT cashmere layer. It’s oversized without swallowing you, which means it works as a scarf, a shawl, a blanket, or the thing you never want to leave the house without when the weather turns cold. The cashmere is soft (not itchy), drapes well, and feels way more expensive than it is right now. It’s a Black Friday unicorn — it rarely goes on sale.

    Shop at J.Crew

    ADIDAS | München Sneaker | 30% Off

A classic suede sneaker that has appeared in so many “best of” lists of ours, we’ve lost count. It’s got that slightly retro, sporty look that somehow works with jeans, trousers, and dresses. They’re lightweight, they’re cushy, and they break in quickly. If you want a sneaker that just instantly pulls an outfit together, it’s this one.

    Shop at Nordstrom

    ROTHY’S | Classic Boot | $40 Off

These boots have the comfort of a sneaker but look like a polished everyday boot. They’re knit from Rothy’s signature thread (made from recycled plastic bottles) so they’re lightweight and flexible. They break in immediately. The heel height is walkable, the shape is sleek, and they’re machine washable, which feels illegal for a boot but is very real. “I’ve been a Rothy’s girl for years,” said one Geezer about the brand. “I adore them.”

    Shop at Rothy’s

NATURA BISSE | Intense Retinol Night Renewal Eye Serum | 20% Off

This eye treatment is the ultimate “I’m tired but don’t want to look it” product. It uses retinol + amino acids to help with fine lines, texture, and that crepey skin around the eyes. It’s extremely lightweight, absorbs fast, and works well under makeup. Thousands of people say it actually makes a visible difference, especially with firmness around the orbital area, which is super rare for an eye product.

    Shop at Natura Bissé

OSEA | Total Body Glow Trio | $30 Off

This OSEA set is the “soft skin starter pack.” You get their body oil, body scrub, and algae body butter, the combo everybody raves about. The scrub is gentle but effective, the oil sinks in instead of sitting on top of your skin, and the butter makes everything feel smooth and hydrated for hours. If you want a full-body routine that smells clean and ocean-y, this is it.

    Shop at OSEA

LAUREN RALPH LAUREN | Walker Coat | 60% Off

A beautifully tailored wool-blend coat that looks like something you’d see on someone who has their life together. It has clean lines, a shaped silhouette, and the kind of structure that instantly upgrades an outfit. Reviewers love how warm it is without being heavy, and the fact that it keeps its shape season after season. Sixty percent off is … wild. And there’s a petite option!

    Shop at Macy’s

SNIF | Pumpkin Smash Candle | 20% Off

Warm pumpkin, a little spice, a little baked-good energy, but nothing too sweet. Snif’s candles burn clean, fill a room fast, and don’t give that headache-y artificial smell some fall candles do. If you want cozy without cloying, this is the one Geezers love most.

    Shop at Snif

STUDS | Max Pavé Huggie Earrings | 30% Off

These huggies are lightweight, don’t irritate sensitive ears, and have just enough sparkle to look intentional without being “big event” jewelry. They snap securely so they won’t fall out, and they stack super well if you’ve got multiple piercings.

    Shop at Studs

THERABODY | TheraFace Depuffing Wand | 18% Off

This magical tool uses microcurrents and thermal therapy to help with puffiness, especially around the eyes and jawline. It warms up, glides easily, and feels surprisingly soothing. People swear by it for mornings when their face looks tired or puffy, and love that it’s quick, like one-minute quick. Perfect for someone who wants skincare tech but not a 20-minute routine.

    Shop at Goop

    ZADRO | Towel Warmer | 25% Off

Why not romanticize your showers? A bucket-style towel warmer that fits large towels and heats them evenly in minutes. It’s simple to use, the inside stays clean, and it makes your bathroom feel fancy without really trying. Great for cold mornings or if you’re someone who lives for cozy routines.

    Shop at Nordstrom

ATLAS | Brass Pepper Mill | 25% Off

A heavy, beautifully made pepper mill with a grinding mechanism that actually works well. The brass looks gorgeous on a counter, and the grind is consistent, with no random big chunks, no jammed mechanism. It’s one of those kitchen things you buy once and never replace because it holds up for years.

  • ‘Good enough to risk getting trampled’: Resurfaced chaotic video of Walmart on Black Friday in 2011 has people longing for the way things were. Why?

    [ad_1]

Everyone had the friend, or was the friend, who would wake up before dawn the day after Thanksgiving to stand in line for “doorbuster deals.” Who would’ve guessed we’d ever miss those caffeine-fueled Black Friday mornings? The ones when you’d size up a stranger by how they behaved when confronted with the last two PlayStation 3 consoles in the state.

But here we are. Across the internet, folks like Cody Martin (@codymartin), Denita Barr (@denita), Maria Carolina (@carolinawilli16), and Cassie (@cassie) are lamenting the loss of the elbow-throwing, heart-pounding sprint for the best deals.

“Bring back Black Friday,” shouts Barr in a video that’s been watched thousands of times. “I’m talking about the Black Friday where you had to get up at butt-f- – -am to go get in line at Kohl’s or you’s finna miss that f- – – – – – deal.”

    Do you remember?

And sure, it might be a tad absurd to be nostalgic for retail madness. But watching Martin’s 16-second 2011 throwback video of Black Friday does tug at something for about 2.2 million of us.

Perhaps it’s not just because these days, as Carolina notes, stores roll out their Black Friday deals weeks ahead of time. Perhaps it’s because it was once kind of fun to squabble over subwoofers with a stranger. As Carolina says in her TikTok, “If you can afford to have the deal for more than one day, it is not a Black Friday deal.”

Martin’s video looks like the kind of footage you might once have seen on the 6 o’clock news back in the day. “We used to be a proper country,” the caption reads. The video pans over a crammed-together crowd of folks who’re jockeying for space. They are passing boxes hand-over-hand and generally getting their joyful consumerism on.

“No phones in site, just people living in the moment,” Martin captioned the video. He makes it clear: This is more than just shopping; it is rowdy togetherness.

The downfall of the inside mall

In 2014, the New Yorker ran an article that forecast the downfall of the American mall. Yes, it was tied to online shopping. But it was also tied to the physical space of the typical indoor mall. Developers have a shorthand name for it: “Classic greybox.”

That sounds about as appealing to shop in as it does to struggle to find parking there during the high season.

The solution, for developers, has been to turn toward outdoor malls.

    Camaraderie in the chaos?

Struggling to find a historic or academic explanation for this nostalgia might be an exercise in redundancy. That’s because viewer comments encapsulate the energy so many seem to feel is missing from today’s shopping scramble.

“I YEARN FOR A BLACK FRIDAY LIKE THIS,” Carly Gutierrezz (@carly/twinmama) wrote.

Tiana Coats (@tiana) remembered, “I used to go out for Black Friday just for the chaos.”

“Throwback to shouting “WHERE ARE YOU?!” To find your family members amongst the chaos,” recalled @beepbopteeptop, who says if her family couldn’t find anything else, they’d always snag some DVDs.

    Inflated prices, deflated hearts?

One of the main complaints popping up across accounts and in comments is that the so-called deep discounts aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Shoppers are suspicious that prices are getting puffed up, only so stores can slash prices for sale optics.

    The history of Black Friday

The whole idea of a huge shopping day the day after Thanksgiving can be traced to 1950s Philadelphia.

That’s when the city would be flooded by shoppers and tourists for the big Army-Navy game, reports History. Police officers had to work overtime and often deal with petty theft on top of managing hordes of crowds. So it was a bad day—a black day, a Black Friday.

Then, in the 1980s, the idea was co-opted by retailers as a way to encourage spending. Because it could be an economic milestone: the day when retailers, which often operated in the red, turned their books to the black (making a profit). Since then, it’s gone on to be an unofficial holiday.

    Your Black Friday FAQs, Answered:

    What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the biggest shopping event of the year — the day retailers across the UK (and pretty much everywhere else) roll out some of their biggest discounts on everything from beauty and fashion to tech and homeware. It officially falls on Friday 28 November this year, but most brands kick things off early with pre-Black Friday deals that drop weeks ahead (hence why we know call it Black Friday month). In short, it’s the perfect time to tick off your Christmas list – or finally treat yourself to that item that’s been sitting in your basket for way too long.

    When is Black Friday 2025?

Black Friday takes place today, on Friday 28 November 2025, with Cyber Monday following on 1 December. But in true beauty-world fashion, the deals have already started dropping – most retailers now kick things off in early November.

Do you really get better deals on Black Friday?

In short — sometimes. There are definitely genuine savings to be had (last year Dyson knocked £80 off the Airwrap, Boots ran its biggest-ever Black Friday event, with over 22,000 deals across beauty and electricals and Simba had up to 25% off selected mattresses, pillows, and duvets. But, not every ‘deal’ is quite as good as it looks. Some brands quietly raise prices beforehand to make discounts seem bigger, so it pays to do a little homework. Keep an eye on what you actually want, compare prices before the sales hit, and stick to your wishlist so you don’t get too overwhelmed.

What is the difference between Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are basically two halves of the same shopping event. Black Friday lands first — this year on Friday 28 November 2025 — with huge deals across beauty, fashion, tech and more. Then comes Cyber Monday on 1 December 2025, which was once all about online-only offers but now tends to wrap up the entire sale weekend. In short: Black Friday starts the chaos, Cyber Monday finishes it – and it’s a great final chance to bag those products that have been sitting in your basket before prices bounce back.

Why you can trust us at Glamour:

Between us, the Glamour Commerce team has spent more than a decade covering Black Friday — so when it comes to spotting a genuinely good deal, we know our stuff. We spend our time testing, reviewing and shopping (for research purposes, obviously), so by the time November rolls around, we’ve already tried and compared most of what’s out there.

When reviewing products — this includes TikTok-acclaimed beauty gifts, new-in fashion, and seriously aesthetic homeware — we consider them all against the following criteria:

Design Is it practical, fit for purpose and aesthetic?
Price point Would I be willing to spend that much? Is it good quality?
Delivery How quickly did it arrive, and what were the associated costs?
Giftability Would this make a suitable birthday or Christmas gift? Is it something the recipient actually wants, needs and would enjoy?

Essentially, we know which brands are worth the hype, which ‘savings’ aren’t really savings at all, and which deals are genuinely worth adding to your basket before they sell out. From beauty and fashion to mattresses and sex toys, we’ve done the digging, testing and scrolling so you don’t have to. Just thank us later when your baskets are full.

  • ‘I was like eww’: Nashville woman sits down at Hobby Lobby. Then a ‘late 30s’ man asks if she’s OK when he sees what’s on her phone

    [ad_1]

A woman was shopping near the Christmas displays at Hobby Lobby when she decided she needed a quick break. As she sat down, she noticed a man “circling her” in the store, continuously following her every move and asking if she was “OK” countless times.

In a video with more than 31,000 views on TikTok, Lacey Farmer (@laceyglamco) recounted the strange and difficult situation to her audience. “That’s the first time I’ve ever been scared [that someone] might do something to me or like try to do something to me,” she said.

    Farmer’s encounter at Hobby Lobby

Farmer went inside Hobby Lobby to shop for some items when she realized that the National Nutcracker was going on sale. She had wanted tickets for her family for a while, so she sat down in the Christmas tree aisle to get them.

That’s when she noticed a man, most likely in his late thirties to early forties, circling her and checking back with her inside the store. “We made our contact a couple times and I would immediately look away, like, I don’t have time for you,” she said.

Eventually, the man approached her in the store. “He’s standing and he’s like, ‘ma’am, are you OK’? And I ignored him. And he’s like, he says it again. He’s like, ‘Hey ma’am, are you OK?’ And I was honestly annoyed because I literally am like trying to get this discount for these tickets,” Farmer told her viewers. Eventually, she looked up and responded to him, letting him know she was fine and looking for tickets to a show online.

He told her to “have a good day,” and she walked off into another part of the store. That’s when she noticed that the man followed her to that section.

“Now I kind of started [to notice], like, ‘oh, OK, this is kind of weird.’ I’m gonna just go to the other side of Hobby Lobby and lose this guy. So I literally darted to the other side of a Hobby Lobby,” she said.

He continues following her across aisles

Somehow, the man found his way toward her section every time she moved in the store. Farmer went from slightly annoyed to frightened.

“He [had] nothing in his hands,” Farmer added. “He also… the vibes were just not good. You know what I mean? Like, you know how you can tell when someone’s just… something was not [right]… I knew something.”

At this point, Farmer called her husband to try and find someone safe. Her husband, though, was at work 45 minutes away. She called her father, who unfortunately did not answer his phone.

By that point, Farmer was feeling trapped. She had tried to beeline through aisles to avoid him, but he ended up approaching her again and asking a few questions.

“And he says, ‘Hey, did you say you’re like going to a concert or something?’ And I said, ‘no.’ And he said… ‘why were you in such a hurry to get tickets?’” Farmer said. She tried to add that she had a husband and children in the conversation, but he started asking more questions about her family. She tried to lie about key details to throw him off and not share any personal information.

As he started to discuss his own family, Farmer took the opportunity to bolt. She abruptly ended the conversation and headed out.

    Leaving Hobby Lobby

Farmer ran out of the Hobby Lobby as fast as she could. She noticed as she was leaving that the man was still glancing around for her.

“ As I was running out, I was like, he was freaking looking for me. He was looking for me and I literally jumped in my car,” she added.

Farmer regrets not getting an employee to walk her out, but she was incredibly anxious while walking around inside.

As a final message, she told her followers, “ You don’t need anything in [Hobby Lobby]. Let us get our Christmas ornaments in peace. So yeah, that’s on not being able to go anywhere alone. Love that for us.”

    Commenters share similar experiences

Many commenters were surprised by the man’s behavior, and while they thought he could have good intentions at first, they quickly realized how frightening it was for Farmer.

“Maybe I’m still a little too naive [because] in the beginning I was like maybe he truly is just checking in… It could be a weird situation [if] you [were] just sitting there, but the fact he continued to approach you… Your gut was definitely right I think,” said one viewer.

Others had incredibly similar encounters. Another commenter added, “That’s so scary. Thank you for sharing. I had a similar experience at Walmart—this guy followed me through the entire store. I thought I lost him, but he found me again at the register. I asked an employee if someone could walk me out, and all she said was, ‘We have cameras.’ I was so upset. I ran to my car. It really reminded me how important it is to stay aware of our surroundings.

  • 10 ‘Botox in a bottle’ skincare products derms swear by

    [ad_1]

This stabilised formula provides results more quickly than most other serums due to its potency. And, its combination of complexion-brightening ingredients makes it especially worthwhile to try if you have stubborn sun damage-related age spots and discolouration.

READ MORE: The best vitamin C serums we’ve tested. After something else? Shop the Medik8 Black Friday sale.

    • Key ingredients: vitamin C, ferulic acid, vitamin E, turmeric root extract
    • Who it’s for: anyone who wants a concentrated dose of line- and discolouration-reducing antioxidants
    • Fragrance-free: yes

    6. Best Drugstore: Eau Thermale Avene RetrinAl 0.1 Intensive Cream

    RetrinAl 0.1 Intensive Cream

Why it’s worth it: Nope, it’s not a typo — retinal and retinol may look almost identical on paper, but there’s a big difference in power. Retinal (a.k.a. retinaldehyde) is one step closer to prescription-strength retinoic acid, “with studies showing that it works ten times faster than retinol,” says Dr. Palmer.

Avène’s RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream uses a potent 0.1% retinal to tackle deep wrinkles, uneven texture, and loss of firmness. Hyaluronic acid adds plumping moisture, while the brand’s signature thermal spring water soothes sensitivity, giving you strong results without the harsh side effects. And despite the serious actives in the formula, “the cream has a lightweight feel and a smooth and non-greasy texture,” Dr. Palmer notes, making it an easy addition to your nighttime routine.

    • Key ingredients: 0.1% retinaldehyde, hyaluronic acid, thermal spring water
    • Who it’s for: people with deep-set wrinkles
    • Fragrance-free: yes

    7. Best for Body: Shani Darden Body Reform Treatment Serum

Shani Darden Skin Care Body Reform Treatment Serum on a grey background

    Body Reform Treatment Serum

Why it’s worth it: You might know the aesthetician-to-the-stars Shani Darden for her Best of Beauty Award-winning Retinol Reform serum, but this formula tackles the thicker, tougher skin below the neck. Body Reform Treatment Serum uses a potent 2% granactive retinoid (an advanced retinoid that delivers retinoic acid-level results with far less irritation) to smooth rough texture, firm crepey areas, and improve the look of dark spots.

It’s paired with proprietary Hydronesis, which helps break down dry keratin buildup while boosting moisture to reduce keratosis pilaris, plus vitamin C to brighten and support collagen and amino acids to plump and strengthen the skin barrier. You’d never know how hardworking the formula is based on its feel — “it’s such a soothing and lightweight serum that moisturises like a richer cream,” says Angela Lamb, MD, a board-certified dermatologist based in New York City.

    • Key ingredients: 2% granactive retinoid, Hydronesis, vitamin C, amino acids
    • Who it’s for: people who want to retexturise, brighten, and firm all over
    • Fragrance-free: yes

    Frequently Asked Questions:

Are topical creams as effective as Botox injections?

Injectables reign supreme when it comes to getting rid of fine lines, smoothing texture, and plumping lax skin. However, certain products can yield results similar to those of the neuromodulator botulinum toxin — a.k.a. Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport, among others — which works by relaxing the muscle contractions responsible for creating expression lines and wrinkles.

So, are there products that provide the near-immediate fine-smoothing effects of neuromodulator injections? No. At this time, at-home topicals aren’t advanced enough to act as swiftly and effectively as professional-grade treatments like Botox. Still, there are formulations with plumping and tightening ingredients that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and sagging skin.

“Although there is no true ‘Botox in a bottle’ that is applied topically to the skin, there are great topical products that can give the appearance of softening expression lines and improving skin texture over time, particularly with neuropeptides,” confirms Kellie Reed, MD, a board-certified dermatologist based in Austin. You can even use them in tandem with professional Botox treatments (from a board-certified dermatologist, of course) to enhance and prolong its line-dissipating benefits.

What are the key ingredients in “Botox in a bottle” products?

“The best line-fighting creams are those that help build our skin’s own building blocks, namely collagen and elastin fibres,” explains Deanne Robinson, MD, a Connecticut-based board-certified dermatologist. She recommends topical retinoids, firming peptides, brightening vitamin C, and growth factors to help support skin cell turnover, increase collagen fibres, and hydrate the skin.

Certain peptides, like neuropeptides, also serve as neurotransmitters in the skin. They work similarly to botulinum toxin by limiting muscle movement — although to a much lesser degree than that in injectables. With that, consider these skin-care products, including moisturisers, serums, and treatments, your best bet for products that work like Botox injections — just without the pinch.

How we test and review products

When Glamour tests a product, our editors look at it from every angle in an effort to best serve you. We review ingredients, scrutinise brand claims, and, when necessary, examine peer-reviewed scientific and medical studies. In addition to testing each and every product that’s included in each and every review, we rely on experts who shape their fields, including dermatology, cosmetic chemistry, and medicine, to help us vet the ingredients and formulas.

For our list of line-fighting skincare products, we considered each product’s performance across five primary categories: product ingredients and efficacy, packaging, fragrance, texture, and product wear. Every product was determined to have excelled in each category by our editorial team, which is composed of in-house writers and editors as well as contributors — along with special consideration from board-certified dermatologists.

  • Birdfy Smart Bird Feeders Are the Cheapest They’ve Been All Year on Amazon Right Now

    [ad_1]

After spending the past year testing 25 smart bird feeders from 10 different brands, many have impressed me, but none so frequently and consistently as Birdfy’s. It was the first brand on the market to introduce AI bird identification, as well as the first to introduce auxiliary products like smart nesting boxes, birdbaths (see below), and feeder bodies made from different materials like wood or metal. The products still suffer the occasional quirk or connectivity issue, but all smart feeders do. The Birdfys remain my go-to for gifts and personal use at my home due to their consistency and ease of use.

If you’re looking to buy one this year for yourself or a loved one, these are the best prices you’ll see, and these are the most giftable models, most usable out of the box without a subscription. (Note that all Birdfy feeders run on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.)

    For Beginners

    Rookie Smart Bird Feeder

If you’ve never dealt with a smart bird feeder before, it can be intimidating. I know multiple people who were gifted a smart bird feeder last year for the holidays and still, in November 2025, have yet to take it out of the box. Apparently they’re not alone, because there’s now a feeder specifically for the reluctant: the Rookie, which looks like a gravity pet feeder and snaps together in three simple pieces with no tools.

You’ll still have to charge the 1080p camera (once a week, as this version doesn’t come with a solar panel) and calibrate it to the app, but that’s it—just pop the camera on its little side stand, fill the seed hopper, attach it to a wall or pole with the included hardware, and you’re good to go. Because there’s only a side view, you’ll get a fair amount of butt shots from birds who are facing the other way, and note that you’ll definitely want to site this one out of the way of squirrels, because it’s pretty lightweight and the top is easily knocked off.

    Feeder Lite With Solar

There are an awful lot of smart feeders on the market, and none of them are perfect, but this longtime best-seller is the one I consistently recommend for its combination of features, usability, app, and price. There are options for a solar panel and either AI by subscription ($5 a month) or included, but Amazon’s deal is on the one with the by-subscription option and solar panel. The panel has to be mounted separately, but in my experience, it’s done quite well at keeping the camera charged even when it’s cloudy.

    Feeder Metal With AI

I haven’t yet tested this exact model , but I have tested many plastic feeders that have been chewed by squirrels. If you’re interested in the original Birdfy but are worried about squirrel damage, this is the one to get. It uses the same 1080p camera you’ll find on the side of Birdfy’s Pro 2 Duo. It also doesn’t need a subscription for AI identification, and it comes with built-in rooftop solar panels, so you won’t have to bring it in to charge the camera battery. I’ve had great luck with Birdfy’s solar panels on other models staying charged even during cloudy seasons.

Feeder 2 Pro With AI and Solar

This is Birdfy’s flagship smart feeder, featuring the highest image quality of any of the brand’s feeder cameras. I tested the 2 Pro Duo, which has two cameras; this model only has the one, but it’s the same as the Duo’s main camera, which I can attest is outstanding. (Though you’ll want to make sure it’s close to a router, as it will need more bandwidth than a typical feeder camera.) It’s got two lenses—one wide-angle and one portrait—and the latter will actually track any bird that lands and zoom in for a closer view. The 2K video captures can also be played back in slow motion, and there’s a light for capturing interesting happenings at night. This version doesn’t need a subscription, and it comes with a solar panel, which will need to be mounted separately.

A Fun, New Way to Watch Birds

If your giftee already has a smart bird feeder or doesn’t want to deal with seed mess, why not gift them a smart bird bath? This one’s already won an Innovation Award for CES 2026, and despite some early connection issues, I had great fun testing it this summer. It captured visits from everything from birds, spiders, and squirrels to a raccoon trying to steal the pump filter. (He was eventually successful.) Note the bath still does take some maintenance, other than refilling—because the reservoir is shallow, it is prone to algae, and the pump does tend to clog with larger debris like leaves. But I still highly recommend it as a fun gift for any bird lover; especially this version, which comes with a matching stand and does not require a subscription for AI identification.

Bamboo Mini Bird Feeder With Camera

Most smart feeders are made of plastic, and for good reason—it’s durable, resists weather damage, and is easy to clean. But no one’s going to argue that it looks great in your yard. I haven’t tested this exact feeder, but I did test a similar-looking one, and I was surprised at how much classier and more natural it looked on my feeder pole. This one sports the same 1080p camera as our favorite original Birdfy, and also comes with a solar panel for keeping the camera charged (must be mounted separately). There’s also included AI ID, so you won’t need a subscription. As a bonus, you can save an extra 10 percent by entering our code WIRED356 (you can find the spot for a promo code under payment options), which brings the price down to $136.
