    After creating a lot of noise with her re-entry to the Punjabi film industry, Shehnaaz Gill’s new film Ikk Kudi has been attracting an audience even in its third week. The picture marks a watershed in Shehnaaz’s professional journey—she not only returns to the screen after almost 4 years but also contributes to the project as a producer for the first time. The film directed by Amarjeet Saro has drawn attention to its emotional and humane telling, Shehnaaz’s performance, which is both natural and engaging, and the film’s overall light-heartedness.     Ikk Kudi opened well in its opening days, but its pace slowed slightly in the second week. According to reports, the film earned approximately Rs 0.36 crore in the first six days, bringing the total to Rs 1.41 crore. Earnings on the ninth day were Rs 0.36 crore, Rs 0.66 crore on the tenth day, and Rs 0.15 crore on the eleventh day. Earnings dropped on the twelfth day, but the film rebounded to Rs 0.15 crore on the thirteenth day. Earnings on the fourteenth day reached Rs 0.16 crore. The figures remained stable on the fifteenth day, but fell to just Rs 0.20 crore on the sixteenth day. On the seventeenth day, the film rebounded, earning Rs 0.28 crore, bringing its total in India to Rs 4.13 crore.

    On the eighteenth day, Ikk Kudi’s earnings declined again. According to initial estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 0.11 crore on Day 18. With this, the film’s total net collection has increased to Rs 4.24 crore. Despite the constant fluctuations, the film is still successfully attracting a limited audience to theaters.

    The film also stars Gurjaaz, Harby Sandha, Udaybir Sandhu, and Nirmal Rishi in pivotal roles. The plot is centered on a girl whose parents have arranged her marriage. Just days before the wedding, she has a hunch that the man she is going to marry has a secret that is too big to be disclosed. In order to discover the truth, she takes up the task of investigating herself, and bit by bit, numerous incredible disclosures surface. The movie illustrates the emotional passage of trust, bravery, and truth-seeking.

    Salman Khan‘s Eid 2023 release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, directed by Farhad Samji and co-starring Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh Daggubati has finally crossed Rs 100 crores nett at the Indian box office after 14 days. The film opened to a low box office number on the first day but saw good growth on day 2 and day 3 courtesy Eid holidays. The Eid effect helped it sustain on Monday but it went all downhill after that. With just over 100 crores after 2 weeks, the film looks to settle for a lifetime total of around Rs 105 crores, which is a low theatrical number for a Salman Khan led solo Eid release.

     

    Salman Khan Has 16 Rs 100 Crore India Nett Grossers After Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

    With Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman Khan now has 16 hundred crore India nett grossers and that is the highest for an Indian actor. The first Rs 100 crore film for the actor was Dabangg and the latest of course is Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Rs 100 crore nett is no longer a benchmark for the success of a film but for statistical purposes, it holds some value. Back in 2008 – 2010, a film required over 1.5 crore and slightly less than 2 crore tickets to hit Rs 100 crore India nett but now, a film selling 45 lakh to 60 lakh tickets can comfortably hit that number. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan may, in its full run, sell itself around 65 lakh tickets which is an underwhelming number and more so because it was a solo festival release.

     

    Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Is The Third Highest Hindi Nett Grosser Of The Year So Far After Pathaan And Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

    The worldwide gross collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan look to end in the range of Rs 175 crores. It is and will end as the third highest Hindi film grosser of 2023 so far after Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, both as per India collections and worldwide collections. Pathaan stands tall with collections of around Rs 1050 crores and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is second with collections just shy of Rs 200 crores.

    The day wise India nett collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan are as follows:-

    Week 1 – Rs 85.50 crores

    Day 8 – Rs 2.25 crores

    Day 9 – Rs 3 crores

    Day 10 – Rs 4 crores

    Day 11 – Rs 2.50 crores

    Day 12 – Rs 1.25 crores

    Day 13 – Rs 1.05 crores

    Day 14 – Rs 90 lakhs

    Total = Rs 100.45 crores

    Salman Khan promised a big screen celebration and that’s what he delivers with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. And the songs play an important part in this. The songs are upbeat – be it the Punjabi numbers Billi Billi, O Balle Balle or the South number Yentamma. As a producer if Salman wanted the songs to look grand despite not shooting them in real or foreign locations, then his director Farhad Samji and cinematographer V Manikandan successfully delivered the same. The way most songs are shot have a celebratory mood to it and are sure to rule the upcoming wedding season. Talking about action, it is an integral part of Bhaijaan’s life and so the film, and action director Anal Arasu proves why he is one of the best in India. The fight scenes are raw with a dash of heroism which is in sync with Bhaijaan’s character and personality.

    The casting is done well by Mukesh Chhabra and the writing by Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal and Tasha Bhambra needs special mention here for dialogues that may not be seeti-maar but are raw, real and relatable (barring the Vande Mataram one-liners that looked forced). They have also handled the ensemble cast very well, giving everyone justified screen time. Shehnaaz Gill is gorgeous, Palak Tiwari is chirpy and confident, Vinali Thakur shows promise. Raghav, Siddharth and Jassie play their parts well. Jagapathi Babu is menacing in his role and deserved more screen time, Vijender Singh surprises with his acting chops and looks the perfect dapper Haryanvi. Venkatesh as a head-strong Hyderabadi man is amazing and will remind you of Rana Naidu. There should be a fan petition to have more of Venkatesh in Hindi films and series. His scenes and songs along with Salman are a delight to watch.

    There are few moments in the film that will stand out. There will be scenes that will leave a smile on your face and even make you chuckle, some that will leave a lump in your throat, a solid kick of nostalgia with a Maine Pyaar Kiya throwback with Salman and Bhagyashree and a Naatu Naatu 2.0 with Salman, Venky and OG Naatu Naatu star Ram Charan. Farhad Samji is certainly getting his groove back. After an entertaining Pop Kaun for Disney Plus Hotstar, he has delivered yet another entertainment package in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

    What’s not?
    The story has loopholes that could have been easily avoided. For instance no one knows what Bhaijaan and his three brothers do for a living. The revelation of Annaya’s real identity, which had the scope of being very dramatic and action packed, is treated as just another scene in the film. Though shot at a large scale, the choreography is some of the songs is truly laughable. Jani Master and his team does well on the peppy dance numbers but the slow romantic ones had immense scope of improvement.

    BL Verdict
    A complete family entertainer with perfect portions of romance, action and drama. Salman Khan brings back his swag and big screen massy entertainment to add to Eid festivities. Must-watch for Salman Khan fans and for all those looking for some fun, safe big screen experience with the family.

    Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is releasing on the 21st of April which is just a couple of days away now. And the advance bookings for the Salman starrer have opened already. Salman Khan took to his social handles and shared the news. He asked fans to work for four more days and then enjoy Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in theatres with family as it is a family film.     Earlier today, the superstar was seen jetting off to an undisclosed location. He was clicked at the Kalina private airport in Mumbai. Salman, who never fails to impress when it comes to fashion, was seen sporting a black vest styled with a shaded black jacket and red ripped jeans. He completed his look with his stubble, cool sunnies and lots of swag. The actor was surrounded by his bodyguards and security as he made his way to the airport. Have a look:

The film is directed by Farhad Samji and it also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam and Raghav Juyal in key roles.

    Salman’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is slated to release on Eid 2023. Post that, he will be seen in Tiger 3 which is one of the most highly-anticipated films of this year. It also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. Salman is also a part of Kick 2 alongside Jacqueline Fernandez.
