So far, we’ve already learned that none other than Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd will be making cameos—their behind-the-scenes TikTok video from the show’s set went predictably viral. Now, thanks to some paparazzi photos, we also know that Selena Gomez‘s character, Mabel, will be tying the knot—or will she? You never really know with this show!

It doesn’t come close to ending there. Miss Kylie went on to post another Instagram story Facetiming Hailey Bieber zooming in closely on their eyebrows. This comes a few short months after Hailey and Selena broke the internet with a photograph of them together, signaling that the feud was supposedly over.
Although Kylie Jenner herself commented “this is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrows posts! U guys are seriously making something out of nothing this is silly,” and Selena confirmed, “It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!” fans were not sold.
Another eyebrow-raising moment came soon after. A resurfaced clip from years ago showed Hailey Bieber gagging on camera after Taylor Swift is mentioned during an awards show began circulating on TikTok. Selena herself commented in defense of Taylor, saying “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.” It further fueled the Hailey versus Selena drama.

Selena Gomez has surpassed Kylie Jenner on Instagram as the most-followed woman on the platform. As if Friday, Gomez has more than 382 million followers, while Jenner has over 380 million.
In spite of the feat, the “Only Murders in the Building” star announced she would be taking a break from social media.
“I’m gonna be taking a second from social media ’cause this is a little silly, and I’m 30, I’m too old for this. But I love you so much and I’ll see you guys sooner than later. I’m just gonna take a break from everything.” Gomez said during a TikTok Live clip shared by fans on Thursday.

This isn’t the first time she paused her activity on her social platforms. In a recent Vanity Fair article, the former Disney star discussed how she outsources her social media accounts to her assistant because of the mean-spirited comments that can be found there.
“People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, Whatever. But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time,” she said.

“There were days where I literally was like, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to be okay.’ Something really deep down inside of me was like, ‘He’s going to get through it.’ I just didn’t know how long it was going to take. That’s what I think was the hardest thing. There’s no guarantees,” she said.

Amid the launch of her now-viral skincare line Rhode, Hailey did an interview with WSJ Magazine. The entrepreneur shared her thoughts on having children. “I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try. But there’s a reason they call it try, right?” she said. “You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take. Definitely no kids this year; that would be a little bit hectic, I think.”
Hailey also revealed her decision to stop discussing her marriage in interviews. “It doesn’t feel worth it to me anymore,” she explained. “I try to have an open conversation with someone, and then it gets taken out of context.”

Hailey was hospitalized after having stroke-like symptoms, though she fortunately fully recovered. Her health scare left Justin reasonably shaken, with a source close to the couple telling People, “[He] is probably more traumatized than even she is. When it happened, there was a lot of panic. Justin texted everyone he knew and asked everyone to pray for her, and he never left her side. He was saying that he can’t lose her, that whatever it takes, he wanted the best medical treatment available.”
Justin later discussed the situation during one of his concerts. “You know, it’s kind of crazy how life throws you curveballs,” he said during a Denver performance. “Most of you probably know or seen the news about my wife …but she’s okay, she’s good, she’s strong. It’s been really scary. But I know for a fact that God has her in the palms of his hands, and that’s a good thing.”

During an interview with Good Morning America, Hailey shared a promising update on her husband’s health. “He is getting better every single day. He’s feeling a lot better and, obviously, it was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally okay, and I’m just grateful that he’s fine,” she said.

Meryl Streep is set to appear in the upcoming third season of “Only Murders in the Building,” Hulu confirmed to CNN on Tuesday.
The casting news first surfaced on “Only Murders” star and executive producer Selena Gomez’s Instagram, when she shared a fun video from set alongside costars and co-executive producers Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The lead trio were joined in the clip by cast members Jackie Hoffman and Paul Rudd, as Gomez exclaimed that “the gang is back” for Season 3.
When she asked, “Could this honestly get any better?” Rudd replied that he thought it could, at which point Streep appeared from behind the couch where Gomez, Short and Martin were sitting.
The three-time Oscar-winning actress then jokingly offered Martin a pillow and asked Short if he needed anything, to which he responded, “Just the tea I had asked for a half hour ago!”
The casting move looks to be a testament to Gomez’s powers of manifestation, as last month she had listed Streep at the top of her wish list for stars to join the acclaimed show.
“I would reach for the biggest of all … probably Meryl, or someone really amazing like that,” she told Vogue.
Gomez’s Instagram video comes just days after she returned to social media following an absence.
Primarily a film actress, Streep’s last major foray into television was in 2019, when she joined Season 2 of hit HBO series “Big Little Lies.”

LOS ANGELES — Matthew McConaughey, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Hudson and “Abbott Elementary” creator and star Quinta Brunson have been named People magazine’s 2022 “People of the Year.”
The magazine unveiled its annual list Wednesday, with Editor in Chief Wendy Naugle explaining this year’s honorees were selected because of their efforts to help others.
McConaughey was chosen for his advocacy efforts after the Uvalde school shooting rocked his hometown. Kunis was lauded for her fundraising — which People said has topped $37 million — for Ukraine, where she was born.
Hudson and Brunson were honored for their onscreen work. Hudson, who launched a daytime talk show this year, was cited for her efforts to create an inclusive show where everyone felt welcome. Brunson’s “Abbott Elementary,” a critical hit that turned her into an Emmy winner, was praised as a show that brought many joy and showed that different generations can work well together.
Each of the honorees are featured on a special cover that highlights their contributions. Kunis’ includes the quote, “I’m proud to be from Ukraine,” while Brunson includes her statement: “I’m a sign that times are changing.”
McConaughey’s proclaims, “We have to do better for our kids,” while Hudson’s says, “I’m living my dream — and learning as I go.”
Previous People honorees have included George Clooney, Regina King, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Sandra Oh, Selena Gomez and Simone Biles. This year’s special editions will be released Friday.

The pressure for those young actors to churn out content — from TV shows to movies to albums — must have felt insurmountable. And while Selena largely avoided the messy ex-Disney star arc, it negatively affected her identity, her sense of self, and her mental health. Selena is ready to put her past behind her
My Mind & Me isn’t merely a sensationalized, titillating tale of a former Disney star. In fact, it’s an effort to put her Disney career behind her. Another thing she wants in her rearview mirror: her relationship with Justin Bieber.
“When am I gonna be good enough by myself?” She tearfully asks in a 2016 clip, recounting a conversation with Interscope Records CEO John Janick about her music career. “I don’t want him to think he signed some f—ing Disney kid … It just sucks too because the whole song thing … he called me this morning about the song with Justin.”
But this is the only direct reference to Justin in the film. Other than that, the focus stays on Selena. And her battle with her mental health.

Revelations from the documentary: Selena’s bipolar diagnosis
You might think that being one of the most beloved pop stars is all glitz and glamor. But Selena’s documentary showcases her rock bottom moments and her struggles with mental health. “At one point, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to be alive right now. I don’t want to live.’ And I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’” her former assistant Theresa spoke about a scary time in 2016 after Gomez canceled her tour. “It was one of the moments where you look in her eyes, and there was nothing there. It was so scary.”
This led to a 2018 mental health hospitalization and a bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2019. While Gomez had mentioned her diagnosis before in 2020, she sets the record straight in detail with this film.
Grappling with the weight of her diagnosis was difficult for the star — as it would be for anyone. No wonder she didn’t want to bare it all on camera until now. “I’m gonna be honest. I didn’t wanna go to a mental health hospital,” she says in the film. “I didn’t want to, but I didn’t wanna be trapped in myself in my mind anymore … I thought my life was over. I was like, ‘This is how I’m gonna be forever.’”
Luckily, Gomez is in a better place. And she’s dedicated to acting as an advocate for mental health by sharing her journey.

She also talked about her struggles with lupus and how physical health issues have spurred up some unlikely drama.
In 2017, Gomez underwent a kidney transplant. The kidney donor? Friend and fellow actress Francia Raisa. This is why some people are raising eyebrows at Selena’s recent Rolling Stone interview.
