SHOCKING new video has captured the moment the deadly floods in Valencia surged towards the region – leaving at least 218 dead.
Torrents of water can be seen rushing past residential blocks from out of nowhere as the flash floods sweep up almost everything in its way from cars to hundreds of helpless people.

Authorities have already confirmed over 200 deaths in Valencia since the weather chaos first erupted but the search for bodies continues.
The death toll is expected to rise to about 400, making it Europe’s deadliest flash flood in five decades.
Harrowing footage shows how the surges of floodwater quickly washed through packed out towns and cities.
One Brit living in the quiet area of Paiporta has revealed how he was forced to helplessly listen to his neighbours’ final screams for help as they were killed by fast-flowing water.
Hundreds of cars had to be abandoned in the middle of the streets as the floods came in.
Pictures showed how many of the motors were left floating in endless murky, brown streams.
Even after the water had been partially cleared cars were still left flipped over on their bonnets and smashed to pieces.
Officials say that many victims have been discovered trapped inside their cars.
Pictures of brave rescue workers searching through an underground car park shows them discovering cars bobbing above the water as they look for any survivors.

The Spanish government has vowed to “improve” their recovery efforts after a number of angered citizens kicked off over the lacklustre response and poor prior warnings.
Locals shouted “Get out! Get out!” and “Killers!” at the royal as police stepped in to keep back the crowd.
The government has now deployed 10,000 soldiers and police officers to battle the torrid conditions as officials believe 2,000 people remain missing.

The flood was caused by downpour in the mountains above the Spanish region of Valencia. No warnings were issued by the local authorities until two hours after the deluge tore through Paiporta.
Many roads remain blocked by piles of vehicles swept through the town by tsunami-like waters.
A STAGGERING 8,000 North Korean troops are reportedly set to cross into Ukraine and start fighting for Vladimir Putin within days.
Dictator Kim Jong-un has happily sent his pal in the Kremlin thousands of fighters who are now due to be led into battle by one of Kim’s closest allies.

Images reportedly show thousands of Kim’s troops are inside Ukraine and being trained up by Russia
General Kim Yong Bok, the deputy head of the North Korean army, is reportedly set to march into Ukrainealongside Pyongyang’s troops, according to Kyiv’s intelligence.
Bok, known as a veteran of the country’s Storm Corps special forces, is often pictured standing beside his tyrant boss and taking down notes.
Ukraine believe Bok will be the highest ranked North Korean officer sent to help Russia, they told the United Nations this week.
At the same meeting between Kyiv and the UN, shocking new figures emerged stating that over 8,000 North Koreans troops may enter the war zone in Kursk.
At the start of the week, Western intelligence claimed only 4,500 foreign troops were ready to be deployed straight to the frontlines.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at a news conference in Washington that he expects the troops to begin combat “in the coming days”.
He added that Russian troops have been asked to train up the new recruits in artillery, drones and “basic infantry operations, including trench clearing”.
In a stern warning to North Korea Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said: “Make no mistake, if these North Korean troops engage in combat or combat support operations against Ukraine, they would make themselves legitimate military targets.”
Other US officials have previously said any foreign fighter helping out an enemy of the US will only ever return home in “body bags”.
Chilling truth behind North Korean troops joining Putin’s war – and why it could ignite BIGGER conflict
A paranoid Vlad is looking towards Kim to help him find more men to toss at Ukraine with officials saying over 600,000 Russian soldiers have fallen so far.
Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said Putin’s desperation to find more troops only proves his back is up against the wall.
He added that it demonstrates Putin is happy to oversee “a dangerous expansion of Russia’s war”.
The first sighting of North Korean troops in Russian territory came last month.
Video analysed by The Washington Post showed hordes of men who appeared to be of Korean descent at Sergeevka military training ground – near Russia’s eastern border with North Korea.
The clips also included audible Korean phrases spoken with a North Korean accent.

Putin bringing over thousands of North Korean soldiers to fight in Europe’s biggest conflict since World War II is set to only pile on more pressure to Ukraine’s weary and outnumbered army.
But a group of nearly 200 defectors who have fled Kim Jong-un‘s regime are hoping to turn things around for Ukraine.
They hope to fight for Ukraine and help demoralise and influence Pyongyang’s troops to join the right side.
The ex-soldiers, currently living in South Korea, offered their military experience to help wage psychological warfare against Moscow’s allies, the South China Morning Post reports.
Ahn Chan-il, a 69-year-old defector and member of the group, said: “We are all military veterans who understand North Korea’s military culture and psychological state better than anyone else.
“We’re ready to go wherever needed to work as psychological warfare agents – through loudspeaker broadcasts, distributing leaflets, and even acting as interpreters.”
Another important player in the initiative, Lee Min-bok, has made his appeal directly to the Ukrainian government.
He asked President Zelensky for the green light to help rescue North Korean soldiers.
AT least 51 are dead after catastrophic flash floods hit Spain with videos showing roads becoming rapid and fears a dam might burst.
Rescuers are now desperately trying to find survivors after the downpour left some regions, including popular Brit holiday resorts, underwater.

The flooding has caused havoc, running from the provinces of Malaga in the south to Valencia in the east.
Tragically, a baby is now one of the 51 confirmed dead by officials on Wednesday morning.
Dozens more are feared dead as flood water which first hit around 1pm Tuesday caused rivers to burst their banks, entered homes, and swamped cars.
The President of the Valencia region Carlos Mazon said: “There are bodies and bodies continuing to appear in places we hadn’t been able to access before.”
In one small area on the outskirts of Valencia city, 40 people are either dead or missing, police sources have said.
Two council workers are said to be missing after a river burst its banks and two are feared dead after becoming trapped in a flooded basement in their police station.
In Massannassa, on Valencia’s outskirts, a man died after getting trapped in a lift as he went down to a flooded underground car park beneath his apartment to check on his vehicle.
Around 600 people were trapped in the Bonaire mall, Valencia’s largest shopping centre last night, after ground-floor flooding.
There are fears the Cirat-Vallat dam could burst with officials putting out a warning after they couldn’t open the gates.
Soon after the announcement local media reported operators were able to open two of the three floodgates.

Videos shared by Spanish broadcasters showed floodwater rising into the lower levels of homes and even carrying cars through the street.
Drivers also posted videos showing the horrific conditions on the roads, with many abandoning their vehicles as the water rose.
A taxi driver called Paco was hit by a wall of water with “brutal” force while driving on the outskirts of Valencia city.
He said: “We were heading along a road leading to the CV-36 motorway and as we got to a roundabout before we reached it, we saw people warning us to turn round.

“We turned back but in a question of seconds a massive amount of water appeared.
“It was impossible to get out of the car. A torrent of water smashed my taxi against barriers at the side of the road and I couldn’t move.
“We spent three hours on top of the lorry trailer before the water levels started to descend and we could reach safety.”
Ricardo Gabaldn, the mayor of Utiel, a town in Valencia, told national broadcaster RTVE his town was “trapped like rats”.
He said: “Cars and trash containers were flowing down the streets.
“The water was rising to three meters.”
Emergency services workers backed by drones were looking through buildings as they sought to find trapped residents.
In some places, rescue services used helicopters to lift people from houses and cars to safety.
The entire province of Valencia – which has a resident population of nearly 5.5 million – were told they should avoid any travel yesterday evening through emergency mobile warnings.
Schools, sports events, and other public facilities like parks are all closed on Wednesday.

Over 1,000 soldiers from Spain’s emergency response units were deployed to the devastated areas.
The adverse weather is amongst some of the most extreme the country has faced in recent years.
A high-speed train with 276 passengers derailed in the southern region of Andalusia, although no one was injured.
Flights were delayed and diverted from Valencia airport at first, with it eventually being closed lat last night.
Meanwhile, Letur’s mayor Sergio Marin described the situation as “catastrophic” as firefighters and police on the ground and in a helicopter searched for four people said to be “unaccounted for.”
Marin told Spanish TV: “We couldn’t have predicted anything like this was going to happen. It’s a major catastrophe.
“Emergency responders including a police helicopter are still searching for around four people who we haven’t been able to account for in the flood area.
“Some were in a vehicle and others were in their homes. There’s been a lot of damage but we’re just hoping everyone is okay and there are no personal casualties.”
Elsewhere, in the Spanish city of Almería cars have been destroyed by giant golf ball-sized hailstones that fell from the sky as a violent storm passed over last night.
Why was Spain hit by flooding?
Spain was hit by flash floods after the east of the country was hit by a meteorological phenomena known as a ‘DANA’.
A DANA, or a ‘cold drop’ is technically a system where there is an isolated depression in the atmosphere is at high levels.
In layman’s terms, more warm and moist Mediterranean air than usual was sucked high into the atmosphere after a cold system hit the country from the south.
The easterly wind then pushed all those clouds and rain into eastern Spain.
Three to four months of rain fell in some places over the space of 24 hours.
The DANA system hit southern Spain as it arrived from Morocco yesterday and is now expected to head west over southern Portugal.

Rakhmatshukh Kurbonov pleaded guilty to causing death through negligence after the horror crash.
He was sentenced to six years in prison and received a driving ban for two-and-a-half-years.
Judges at the Oktyabrsky District Court in St Petersburg heard the driver was “exhausted” before the horror crash.
Police said: “He was in a tired state, worsening his reaction and attention, as well as endangering traffic safety.”

The number 262 bus was carrying 20 passengers at the time of the disaster in May 2024.
A witness said that the bus swerved before the fatal collision.
He said; “He started hitting cars that were parked. Everything happened quickly.”
A student called Mikhail said: “I saw the moment the bus hit the car, it spun around and it began to fall.
“The bus went sideways, smashed the curb, smashed a fence and fell sideways.”
Another witness said: “The driver of the bus, when turning from Bolshaya Morskaya Street to Potseluyev (‘Kissing’) Bridge, lost control, the bus spun around, it broke through the fence and fell into the water.”
Eight passengers were pulled from the wreckage through the roof hatch.
And another ten miraculously managed to escape on their own and were rescued by boats in the Moika River, according to reports.
At least five people were taken to hospital.
The bus driver was among those who escaped and was immediately arrested, with a criminal case opened.
The nightmare crash saw the bus smash into two cars and a safety barrier before tumbling into the Moika River in Saint Petersburg.
This caused the vehicle to swerve, smash into a bridge and sink into the freezing waters.
The bus’ operator, LLC Taxi have been found guilty of gross safety violations.

Kim Jong Un commands one of the world’s largest armies – with some 1.2 million men
Video analysed by The Washington Post showed hordes of men who appeared to be of Korean descent at Sergeevka military training ground – near Russia’s eastern border with North Korea.
The clips also included audible Korean phrases spoken with a North Korean accent.
And audio intercepted by Ukrainian intelligence shows Russian soldiers talking offensively about the Korean troops – calling them “the f*****g Chinese”.
One even says: “And he’s like standing there with his eyes out, like… f**k… He came here and says what the f**k to do with them.”
Kyiv’s intercepted clips reveal possible plans to issue one interpreter and three senior officers for every 30 Pyongyang troops.
It showed the soldiers movements as concentrated in the Postoyalye Dvory field camp in Russia’s Kursk region, where Ukraine launched a surprise invasion earlier this year.
Ukraine, South Korea and the US have voiced deep concern about possible military cooperation between the two.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said on Wednesday: “We assess that between early- to mid-October, North Korea moved at least 3,000 soldiers into eastern Russia.”
He added that it’s a “highly concerning probability” the Pyongyang soldiers are there to fight against Ukraine.
The security chief warned: “After completing training, these soldiers could travel to western Russia and then engage in combat against the Ukrainian military.”
Ukrainian intelligence has estimated that some 12,000 troops – including three generals – will be dispatched to Russia.
They told the Post that one such group has already arrived in Kursk – where US officials feared they might be sent.
Kim Jong Un lords over one of the world’s largest militaries – with some 1.2 million soldiers.
According to South Korea’s spy agency, special operations troops known as the “Storm Corps” have been sent to Russia.
They are among the best trained and equipped of all the North Korean units.
Just days ago a North Korean flag was apparently spotted next to a Russian one in Ukrainian territory.
A blurry photo, allegedly taken near the besieged key city of Pokrovsk showed the two flags flying between the trenches.
It implied that Korean troops had been deployed to the trenches, marking the first time a third country has put boots on the ground in the three-year conflict waged by Putin inside Ukraine.
Dramatic videos from the Far East of Russia allegedly show Kim’s soldiers being given battlefield equipment and taking part in strict military training.
Other footage appears to show North Korean troops posing for photos in Moscow’s Red Square.
Both Moscow and Pyongyang have denied the presence of North Korean troops.

A SIBERIAN city was almost completely wiped off the map after enduring years of brutality when a mine explosion forced its residents to abandon it.
The ruins of Kadykchan now haunt the landscape of Russia’s Far East – and has eerily been frozen in time since the Cold War.

The dystopian coal-mining town has been completely deserted for decades since its last bus load of residents shipped out.
Chilling footage reveals blackened and crumbling Soviet-era concrete apartment blocks, smashed up classrooms and rusting playgrounds overrun by nature.
Old-fashioned road signs are pictured, indicating the Kadykchan coal mine on the Kolyma highway.
Other images show books laying scattered around the desolate buildings, and windows punched out of buildings.
The remote and abandoned city is found deep into Magadan province, an area also known as “Kolyma” – a name that used to strike fear in the hearts of Russians.
It is only reachable along thousands of miles of a highway, referred to as the “Road of Bones” due to the amount of people that were worked to death or executed in labour camps.
The Soviet-era despot opened up the region in the 1930s in order to extract minerals, metals and gold from its uninhabited lands using forced labour.
Opened by communist Stalin, the dictator looked to access its mineral, metal and gold deposits in order to support the ongoing industrialisation of the USSR.
But the quickest way to exploit the land’s materials was to use forced labour – and it came at a cost.
Throughout the 30s and into World War 2, over a million prisoners suffered in the horrible conditions and -50C temperatures of Kolyma.
An unbelievable 200,000 people horrifically died.
After the war, two coal mines were opened in Kadykchan and prisoners were no longer cruelly kept.

Instead, civilians came under the impression they were to receive a good salary and a flat to live.
As the Cold War started and began to drag on, the city truly flourished in the 1970s, transforming into a place for young people to live and work, with music festivals put on and clubs opening.
But in 1989, the Soviet Union collapsed and the worker’s salary’s were no longer guaranteed.
The coal-mining city fell into depression, one of the mines closed and the future looked bleak.
A past resident, Tatiana Shchepalkin, told the BBC: “Salaries weren’t being paid and people couldn’t even buy basic things like food.
“Imagine your husband comes home from the mine and you’ve got nothing to give him to eat. The children are hungry.”
It didn’t seem like it could get any worse, until tragedy struck on November, 25, 1996.
A methane explosion ripped through the mine during a busy morning shift and six men were killed.

The last mine was closed for good and Kadykchan no longer had a reason to exist. The city was finished.
“Things were terrible…Things were so desperate people were shooting dogs for food,” Tatiana remembered.
Residents quickly began packing up their lives and getting out.
Soon the city had completely emptied. In turn, the local council moved in and torched most of the buildings.
There Kadykchan remains – blackened, crumbling and surrendering to nature.
A man who spent his entire life in the remote, freezing city watched the smoke burn as he left.
“Your soul refuses to believe it,” Vladimir Voskresensky told the BBC.
“But that’s how it is.”
Now the only people to walk amongst the rubble are intrepid explorers gripped by its dark history.
The steel skeletons of dozens of steam locomotives betray a time when the spectre of the mushroom cloud loomed dangerously near.
During the Soviet era it served as a nuclear war base – ready and waiting to whisk Russians to safety if all other transportation failed or was destroyed.
Time progressed, the Iron Curtain lifted, diesel trains took over and the threat of nuclear war waned – leaving a cemetery on rusty tracks.
What was the Cold War?
THE Cold War was a state of geopolitical tension between powers and put the world on the brink of nuclear disaster.
It occurred between the Eastern Bloc (the Soviet Union and its satellite states) and powers in the Western Bloc (the United States, its NATO allies and others) – following on from World War II.
A timeframe of the tense war acknowledged by historians ranges from 1947 and either 1989 or 1991.
Following the surrender of Nazi Germany in May 1945, the uneasy wartime alliance between the United States and Great Britain on the one hand and the Soviet Union on the other began to unravel.
By 1948 the Soviets had installed left-wing governments in the countries of eastern Europe that had been liberated by the Red Army.
The Americans and the British feared the permanent Soviet domination of eastern Europe and the threat of Soviet-influenced communist parties coming to power in the democracies of western Europe.
The Soviets, on the other hand, were determined to maintain control of eastern Europe in order to safeguard against any possible renewed threat from Germany, and they were intent on spreading communism worldwide, largely for ideological reasons.
The Cold War had solidified by 1947, when US aid provided under the Marshall Plan to Western Europe had brought those countries under American influence and the Soviets had installed openly communist regimes in Eastern Europe.
The Cold War reached its peak between 1948 and 1953.
Throughout the Cold War the United States and the Soviet Union avoided direct military confrontation in Europe and engaged in actual combat operations only to keep allies from defecting to the other side or to overthrow them after they had done so.
The Cold War began to break down in the late 1980s during the administration of Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev.
He dismantled the totalitarian aspects of the Soviet system and began efforts to democratise the Soviet political system.
When communist regimes in the Soviet-bloc countries of Eastern Europe collapsed in 1989–90, Gorbachev acquiesced in their fall.
In late 1991 the Soviet Union collapsed and 15 newly independent nations were born from its corpse, including a Russia with a democratically elected, anti-communist leader.
The Cold War had come to an end.

ISRAEL has killed Hezbollah’s leader-in-waiting in a deadly blitz on a secret bunker, marking another blow to the terror group.
The Israeli military revealed that Hashem Safieddine was taken out in a previous airstrike on southern Beirut in early October.

Safieddine, a cleric who rose within the Hezbollah ranks, was expected to succeed his cousin Hassan Nasrallah as top brass of the Iran-backed militant group.
Nasrallah, one of its founders, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on September 27.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) revealed on Tuesday that Safieddine was taken out in an air ambush over a southern suburb of Beirut on October 8.
Around 25 other Hezbollah leaders were killed during the blitz.
Over the past months, Israeli strikes have killed much of Hezbollah’s top leadership, leaving the group in disarray.
There was no immediate confirmation from the militant group about Safieddine’s fate.
An IDF statement read: “Hashem was the cousin of Hassan Nasrallah, the former leader of Hezbollah.
“Due to his familial and personal ties with Nasrallah, Hashem had a significant influence on decision-making within the terrorist organization.
“During times when Nasrallah was absent from Lebanon, Hashem filled in as the Secretary-General of Hezbollah.
“Throughout the years, Safieddine directed terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and took part in Hezbollah’s central decision-making processes.
Moment Israeli tank blasts Yahya Sinwar’s bolthole before he was shot dead
“Alongside Hashem Safieddine, the terrorist Ali Hussein Hazima, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters, was also eliminated.”
Last week Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was confirmed dead after an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
Dubbed “Gaza’s Bin Laden”, Sinwar has been Israel‘s main target ever since he masterminded the horrific October 7 massacre.
Israeli officials on Thursday said there was a “high likelihood” that a terrorist shot dead in Gaza on Wednesday was Sinwar.
“The elimination of Sinwar creates an opportunity for the immediate release of the hostages and a potential change that could lead to a new reality in Gaza – without Hamas and without Iranian control,” Katz said.
Meanwhile a Hezbollah bunker allegedly containing £400 million worth of gold and cash in a secret bunker under a Lebanese hospital was revealed by Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claim to have uncovered the terror group’s financial headquarters as they released footage showing the underground network in Beirut.
The declassified intelligence was shared alongside a video showing how Hezbollah’s top brass is believed to operate through hidden tunnels and secret elevators.
Their underground bunker is said to be directly beneath Al-Sahel Hospital in the busy area of Dahiyeh in southern Beirut.
The IDF say it is made up of at least five separate rooms including what appears to be a communal bedroom and a meeting room.
They also revealed the exact location they claim Hezbollah hides its financial goods – including gold bars and stacks of cash.
A huge secure room to the right of the bunker has been shown through the IDF graphic to be filled with over £400million worth of goods.
The IDF claim the bunker was used by slain Hezbollah kingpin Hassan Nasrallah.
Israeli intelligence also say that Hezbollah chiefs use two different entrance points to access the bunker.
The illustration says that the two buildings either side of the hospital have been manipulated by the terrorists to provide tunnels for people to sneak through.
ISRAEL VS HEZBOLLAH
Israel launched its ground operation in Lebanon earlier this month to weaken Hezbollah and push the terror group away from the border to allow displaced Israelis to return.
Earlier on Sunday, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant promised that Israel would never let Hezbollah regroup along the Lebanon border.
Israel PM Netanyahu’s home targeted in drone strike launched from Lebanon
He said: “These are military targets containing underground tunnels and weapon storages.
“Our troops found hundreds of RPGs, munitions, and anti-tank missiles here.
“The IDF is currently destroying these weapons above and under the ground.”
He said he has “instructed the IDF… to ensure that terrorists cannot return to these places”.
The IDF said some 100 Hezbollah operatives have been killed over the last week – and claimed more than 50 Hezbollah rocket launchers and 60 command centres have been destroyed.
But Avraham Levine, an analyst with Israeli think-tank Alma, said it’s likely Hezbollah was “well prepared and waiting” for Israeli troops.
He said: “The fact that the chain of command has been damaged does not take away the ability to shoot Israeli communities or try to hit,” describing Hezbollah as “the same powerful terror army we all know”.
Hezbollah’s deadly strike on the Israeli base came the same day the US said it would send a new air defence system to help bolster protection against missiles.
Israel is now at war with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon – both Iran-backed militant groups – and is expected to strike Iran in retaliation for a missile attack earlier this month.
Gallant said Israel will hit Iran in a way that will be “lethal, precise and surprising”.
And Iran has vowed to respond to any Israeli attack – saying it has “no red lines”.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said: “While we have made tremendous efforts in recent days to contain an all-out war in our region, I say it clearly that we have no red lines in defending our people and interests.”
Meanwhile, in northern Gaza, Israeli air and ground forces have been attacking Jabaliya – where the military says terrorists have regrouped.
Israel has ordered the full evacuation of northern Gaza – including Gaza City.
The Hamas terror attack on Israeli soil killed over 1,000 people and saw some 250 more kidnapped into Gaza.
It sparked a horrific war in which more than 42,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes – according to the UN and other international human rights groups.
Israel recently launched a ground operation in Lebanon too, where Hamas ally Hezbollah is based, with Lebanese officials reporting the number of people killed as more than 2,300.
The latest on the Middle East war
ISRAEL is now at war with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon – both Iran-backed militant groups.
The fighting in the Middle East has been ongoing for over a year now since Hamas launched the deadly October 7 massacre.
In the months following Israel hit back with constant waves of air attacks and a ground invasion of Gaza – prompting Iran and its proxies to jump to the aid of Hamas.
Lebanon-based Hezbollah has since faced IDF fury with Israel wiping out their top brass one after the other in precision strikes.
Israel also launched a ground operation in Lebanon earlier this month to weaken Hezbollah and push the terror group away from the border to allow displaced Israelis to return.
In the weeks since both sides have continued to hit the other.
One of Hezbollah’s biggest attacks saw them fire a salvo of more than 100 rockets into Israel, killing at least one person and injuring others in the northern region of the country.
Footage shared by the IDF shows a building destroyed by the rocket attack that was launched from Lebanon targeting innocent Israeli people.
In response, the IDF struck multiple targets inside Lebanon which they claim are Hezbollah strongholds.
Some of the buildings struck were Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters and an underground weapons workshop in Beirut, Israel claims.
The Israeli military also issued fresh evacuation warnings for civilians staying in Beirut’s southern suburb.
IDF Col. Avichay Adraee said: “You are in the vicinity of Hezbollah facilities, which the IDF will operate against in the near future.”
In recent days, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu was the target of a terrorist drone strike.
One of the buildings close to the Israeli leader’s family home was struck by the drone strike which appeared to come from Lebanon.
As Hamas kingpin Yahya Sinwar was also ruthlessly eliminated by Israeli troops after a firefight in Gaza.
Shocking footage shows evil Hamas boss Sinwar pathetically attempt to fight off a drone with a stick in a fittingly inglorious end for the October 7 mastermind.

Some are obvious due to their big size or unrecognisable features such as antlers and ears.
Whereas others are almost impossible to spot through their expert camouflage and tiny stature.
Spotting different types of animals such as a dog or a cat can be one of the toughest tasks in optical illusions as they’re never quite where you expect.

This illusion is made especially difficult as the scene is so busy with so many creatures hidden.
Another clever ploy to throw off those seasoned puzzlers is the use of colours.
The animals are all a mixture of blue and red meaning they are very different to what our brains are expecting to see.
This makes spotting them all incredibly hard as people easily skip over certain portions of the image.
Many people will be able to uncover a couple of the animals within seconds with some being obvious.
You’ve got 20/20 vision and a high IQ if you can find the lost cellphone lying on the busy carpet in 10 seconds
After six seconds those expert boffins should be well on their way to discovering all seven hidden animals.
But with less than half of the time remaining, finding the final few could be an incredibly hard task.
Luckily these puzzles are super fun to try out with friends and can be a great conversation starter.
In this particular piece, people with a high visual IQ should be able to spot all the animals within the 12 seconds and leave themselves enough time to enjoy the rest of the image.
But even those that find just four or five can still be proud of themselves as the optical illusion is one of our toughest yet.
This clever brainteaser was shared online by optical illusion legends Times Now.
If you still can’t quite spot the whole animal gang then here’s a rundown of all the species to look for before we reveal the answer.
The polar bear has been joined by a donkey and a reindeer as well as a turkey and a squirrel.
The final ones are a partridge, turtledove and a robin but they are super tough to find as they are all birds perched in peculiar spots.

JUST eight years after euthanasia was legalised in Canada, some doctors there say the result is “horrendous” as more and more people are driven to it by a failing health-care system.
Assisted deaths have risen at an alarming rate, while the criteria to be given a lethal injection has been relaxed.

Now experts warn it would be disastrous to allow a system like Canada’s Medical Assistance In Death (Maid) in the UK, after the families of some of those who opted for it revealed they did so because they could not access medical help.
Professor Leonie Herx, a Canadian palliative medicine consultant based in Calgary, Alberta, described the outcome as “horrific from a medical perspective”.
In 2017, the first full year the legislation was in place, one per cent of deaths in Canada were from euthanasia.
By 2022, it was four per cent, as 13,241 people opted for Maid.
Supporters insist the bill is strictly to help the terminally ill.
Ms Leadbeater said: “I believe that, with the right safeguards in place, people who are already dying and are mentally competent should be given the choice of a shorter, less painful death on their own terms and without placing family and loved ones at risk of prosecution.
“It will not undermine calls for improvements to palliative care. Nor will it conflict with the rights of people with disabilities to be treated equally and have the respect and support they are right to campaign for in order to live fulfilling lives.”
But this is very similar to how Canada’s law was introduced — and now the rules there have softened and the numbers resorting to euthanasia have soared.
My parents held hands as they passed away by assisted dying – we supported ‘beautiful’ decision, it wasn’t a surprise
When Maid was introduced in Canada in 2016, it was limited to the terminally ill.
But following a legal challenge in 2021 it was made available to those whose death was NOT “reasonably foreseeable”.
A further change due to come into force in March 2027 will open up the service to people whose sole medical condition is MENTAL illness.
Doctors in Canada have approved assisted dying after just ZOOM calls, and some politicians want to extend the practice to CHILDREN old enough to make an “informed” choice.
Requests for Maid are now much more frequently approved in Canada than in 2019, when eight per cent of requests were denied.
In 2022, that figure fell to 3.5 per cent, a Health Canada report says.
I believe that, with the right safeguards in place, people who are already dying and are mentally competent should be given the choice of a shorter, less painful death on their own terms and without placing family and loved ones at risk of prosecution
Kim Leadbeater
The report adds that 17 per cent of those who applied cited “isolation or loneliness”, while nearly 36 per cent believed they were a “burden on family, friends or care-givers”.
The number of Canadians ending their lives via Maid — usually given in the form of an injection administered by a physician — has outpaced other nations with similar laws.
And its legislation has grown far looser than those of other countries offering assisted dying, such as Belgium and the Netherlands.
One expert claimed that what has happened in Canada could happen in the UK because both countries have a struggling health system and an ageing population.
Canadian-born Alexander Raikin, a researcher at the Ethics And Public Policy Centre in Washington DC, said: “Euthanasia in Canada was meant to be rare and last resort, but it isn’t. It has become routine.
“Assisted deaths have seen dram-atic rates of growth in all the places that have legalised it, like the Netherlands, Switzerland and Oregon in the US, but in Canada that rate has been quite unprecedented. The similarities between Canada and the UK . . . suggest the UK is likely to follow Canada’s route.
“I don’t think it is a coincidence that this massive surge happens at the same time our health system is collapsing. It should ring alarm bells in Britain.”
In an interview with the Sun on Sunday, Canadian Alicia Duncan told, from her home in Mission, British Columbia, how her “active and happy” mother was given a fast-track death in 2021. She opted for it because she could not get the healthcare she needed.
Alicia, 41, an interior designer, now warns the UK about the perils of following Canada’s lead.
Her mum Donna, a psychiatric nurse, suffered a brain injury in a minor car crash but despite not facing immediate death, and receiving treatment for mental health symptoms, the 61-year-old’s Maid request was granted.
Despite protests by her daughter and long-serving GP, she was helped to take her own life just 48 hours later.
Alica said: “People in Britain should be very worried about this.

Now, in the UK, a bill to legalise the early ending of life has been introduced in Parliament by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater
“It won’t stop at terminal illness alone. The UK needs to look at what happened in Canada.
“People think, ‘This will never happen to me’. I never thought my mother, who was active and happy, would have chosen to end her life because of a mental illness, and been helped to do so.
“I would say to Britain, you need to be cautious because once you decide to open this door you don’t get to choose who walks through.
“The moment you legalise euthanasia it starts as a crack then it becomes a wide-open chasm and there is nothing you can do to stop it.”
Since their mother’s death, Alicia and her sister Christie have been denied key details about the circumstances and believe safe-guards to protect vulnerable people were not followed properly.
She added: “I am so angry. People are choosing to die because they can’t access healthcare in a timely manner.
The moment you legalise euthanasia it starts as a crack then it becomes a wide-open chasm and there is nothing you can do to stop it
Alicia Duncan
“My mum was waiting to see a specialist for 18 months and her appointment was the week after she died.
“It’s easier to die in Canada than to access healthcare.”
Ms Carr — who has rare genetic condition arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, which affects her joints and muscles, and uses a wheelchair, warned: “These laws will put lives like mine, marginalised lives, at risk and those risks will be fatal.
“All because of the dangerous assumption some of us are better off dead. Let’s be aware, maybe it’s going to be like Canada, and that is terrifying.”
This week in Canada, a 51-year old gran from Nova Scotia told how doctors offered her Maid while she was in hospital about to undergo a mastectomy for breast cancer.
These laws will put lives like mine, marginalised lives, at risk and those risks will be fatal
Liz Carr
Before she went in for what she hoped was life-saving surgery, the doctor sat her down and asked: “Did you know about Medical Assistance In Dying?”
She was then asked again before undergoing a second mastectomy nine months later, and a third time while in the recovery room after that procedure.
Around three quarters of Brits support assisted dying, a survey this year from advocacy group Dying With Dignity found, while just 14 per cent of us oppose it.
“If I decide my own life is not worth living, please may I ask for help to die.”
But the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, said of the bill: “This approach is both dangerous and sets us in a direction even more dangerous.
All I’m asking is that we be given the dignity of choice. If I decide my own life is not worth living, please may I ask for help to die
Esther Rantzen
“In every place where it’s been done, it has led to a slippery slope.
“The right to end your life could too easily, all too accidentally, turn into a duty to do so.”
‘BRITS, BE WARNED OF PERIL’
By Prof Leonie Herx, Professor of Palliative Medicine at the University of Calgary
IN Canada, a doctor-administered lethal injection has become the solution to almost any suffering, which is horrific from a medical perspective.
Any adult with a disability or chronic illness can get an “assisted death”.
There is no requirement to receive any treatment for even a reversible condition and sometimes it is the only “intervention” provided.
I have seen a person’s worst day become their last.
We are seeing people getting Maid for poverty, social isolation or deprivation.
It is routinely offered to any potentially eligible person as they access a care home, at time of surgery or during hospital admission for a health crisis.
It has altered the practice of medicine here and is leading to the premature death of many vulnerable people.
It has become something it never started as, something no Canadian could have imagined.
The UK should take warning.
Keep medicine invested in helping people restore their health and live well.

SECRET documents have exposed how Hamas plotted to get Iran to launch strikes on Israel during the October 7 terror attack.
Minutes of the terror group’s secret meetings have been obtained by the New York Times and show its leader trying to persuade the Islamic Republic to join it.

The documents reveal Hamas sought to deceive Israel and draw it into a wider regional war which its leader, Yahya Sinwar, thought would destroy it.
It code named the attack “the big project” – which ultimately wound up killing 1,200 Israelis.
Months before the October terror attack, Hamas officials met a senior Iranian commander in Lebanon and requested help with striking sensitive sites at the start of the assault.
The Iranian commander said it supported helping in principle, but needed more time to prepare.
Iran ultimately did not strike Israel as part of the October 7 terror attack, but did so in April and October this year.
Hamas struck when it did as it decided it needed to attack before a new air-defence system was rolled out by Israel.
Hamas also sought to disrupt efforts to normalise the relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia and the entrenchment of Israel’s occupation of the West Bank.
The documents were discovered on a computer found in January by IDF soldiers as they searched an underground Hamas command centre.
Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has denied Iran had any role in the October 7 terror attack.
American officials say they have intelligence showing Iran too was caught by surprise.
Israel foiled Hamas plot to launch October 7 anniversary attack as heartbroken families paid tribute to massacre victims
Following the terror attack, Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to turn Gaza to “rubble” for what he dubbed was “Israel’s 9/11”.
Israel is still fighting to get dozens of hostages home a year after Hamas’ attack.
The terror group’s bloody assault on Israel sparked a year of bloodshed, with the Middle East now teetering on the brink of all-out war.
Israel is still razing much of Gaza as its troops look to wipe out Hamas and rescue hostages still being held by Hamas thugs a year on.

Rockets fly in the sky after Iran fired a salvo of ballistic missiles at Israel two weeks ago

And Israel’s archenemy Iran has been using its terror proxies to do its dirty work.
Hezbollah has fired rockets from Lebanon in solidarity with Hamas, while the Houthis in Yemen have terrorised the Red Sea by attacking any ships they deem to be connected with Israel.
Meanwhile, another front has also opened in Lebanon after Israeli troops and tanks last week poured over the border on a mission to wipe out Hezbollah’s war machine.
It’s left the region on the cusp of seeing an all-out war erupt as leaders across the world call for an end to hostilities.
CIA boss Burns said the region could be teetering on the cusp of a dramatic escalation as clashes could spread across the Middle East.
He said that while the US intelligence community believes neither Israel nor Iran wants “all-out conflict”, there is a huge risk of miscalculation.
Burns added: “We face the very real danger of a further regional escalation of conflict.”
He said Israel is “weighing very carefully” how it would respond to Iran’s unprecedented missile barrage last week – but warned “misjudgements” could lead to an escalatory spiral.
How Hamas’ Oct 7 bloodbath plot eluded Israeli spies & sparked year of bloodshed
HAMAS’ horror October 7 massacre plot escaped Israeli spies in a catastrophic security failure that sparked a year of unprecedented chaos, experts say.
It was the catalyst that plunged four nations – Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Iran – into war, killing tens of thousands and marking a historic shift in the Middle East.
Experts have branded the spiralling situation in the Middle East as “one of the biggest human rights crises in the world right now” – triggered by the October 7 atrocity.
Bruce Riedel, who spent 30 years in the CIA including a stint in Israel at the Tel Aviv embassy, said Israel is now “fighting a war on multiple fronts”.
“We’ve never seen anything like this in Israeli history,” he said.
Since October 7, Israel’s archenemy Iran has used its terror proxies to do its dirty work.
Hezbollah has fired rockets from Lebanon in solidarity with Hamas, while the Houthis in Yemen have terrorised the Red Sea by attacking any ships they deem to be connected with Israel.

A FEMALE journalist has died after spending more than a year in Russian detention, claim Ukrainian officials.
Victoria Roshchyna, 27, mysteriously disappeared last August while reporting from inside Russian occupied Ukraine with officials now saying she has tragically died as Vladimir Putin’s prisoner of war.

Roshchyna was detained last year after reporting about the Ukraine war inside Russian occupied landCredit: Instagram
Roshchyna’s family first reported her missing to Ukrainian officials on August 12 last year after not hearing from her for days.
The journalist last spoke to her sister a week earlier as she said she had made it through routine border checks to get across Russian land but didn’t disclose her location.
An official missing person case was then filed on September 21.
The esteemed Ukrainian reporter was missing for over 6 months with her whereabouts finally revealed in April 2024 when her worried father was sent a letter from Moscow.
Russia‘s defence ministry said Roshchyna was being held at a Russian detention centre, according to Ukraine’s main journalist union.
The reason why she was arrested and subjected to months of imprisonment has never been made public.
The exact location of the jail has also been kept underwraps by Russian officials.
Her death was first announced by Petro Yatsenko, a spokesman for Ukraine’s prison of war coordination headquarters.
He said: “Unfortunately, information about Victoria’s death has been confirmed.
“It is too early to talk about the circumstances of the death, we are working to establish them.”
Watch moment £16m Russian stash of 400 kamikaze drones are blown to smithereens in crippling blow to Putin’s air power
Press rights group Reporters Without Borders say they are “shocked” over Roshchyna’s death.
Russian news outlet Mediazona have claimed she may have died when she was being transferred to Moscow from a prison in Taganrog, near to the Ukrainian border.
Victoria claimed at the time that Russians fired at her vehicle and forced a group of press to abandon the car and lie down hiding in a field.
After returning to the car some time after and continuing on with the trip across southern Ukraine Roshchyna was allegedly taken by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), her colleagues said.
She was released after 10 days in captivity.
Unfortunately, information about Victoria’s death has been confirmed

Roshchyna worked as a freelancer for various independent news outlets in Eastern Europe.
These included Ukrainska Pravda and the Ukrainian service of US-funded media outlet Radio Free Europe.
In 2022, her frontline reporting was honoured when she received the Courage in Journalism award by the International Women’s Media Foundation.
Roshchyna is just one of thousands of Ukrainians known to be held in Russia after they opposed to Moscow’s iron fist ruling.
Many have been detained in Russian occupied territories since Putin’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
Rights groups say some have faced torture and abuse at the hands of their captors.
Back in May, Ukraine claimed more than two dozen media officials are being held in Russian captivity.
The country are in negotiations to free those still locked up.
Many other Russian prisoners jailed on bogus charges have been released this year.
A huge 24 person swap deal between the US and Russia in July saw journalists, military officials and foreign opposers to Putin’s regime freed in exchange for Russian prisoners.

How can optical illusions and brainteasers help me?
ENGAGING in activities like solving optical illusions and brainteasers can have many cognitive benefits as it can stimulate various brain regions.
Optical illusions make a little bit more sense when you learn that our eyes have very little to do with what we see and it is our brains that play the key role in creating images and trying to protect us from the potential threats around us.
Our brain is constantly trying to make sense of the world at the quickest pace it can despite the world being in 3D and the images on our retinas being in 2D.
It can be really difficult for your brain to interpret everything at once so it will often take shortcuts and give you a simplified version of what you see so you can have quicker reaction times if the object you’re looking at looks dangerous.
When you look at an object what you’re really seeing is the light that bounced off of it and entered your eye, which is converted into electrical impulses that your brain then turns into an image.
Our brains can warp straight lines if an object in the middle of them looks like it’s drawing closer as it wants to emphasize the potential threat.
Different colours and light and dark can make the same-sized objects look different or make patterned images look like they’re spinning.
Some benefits include:
Cognitive stimulation: These activities challenge the brain, promoting mental agility and flexibility.
Problem-solving skills: Regular practice enhances analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Memory improvement: These challenges often require memory recall and can contribute to better memory function.
Creativity: They encourage thinking outside the box, fostering creativity and innovative thought processes.

Birgul G entered the Women’s and Children’s Department in the Kahramanmaras medical facility late on Saturday, October 5.
Doctors and nurses can be seen hiding under tables in fear as the woman enters with the shotgun and points it at the workers.
She can be heard screaming at people trying to calm her down with a police report after the horror ordeal saying she claimed she had a bomb on her.
Police found she had a paper bag on her which was where she said the bomb was planted.
When officers checked they found no bomb or explosive device in the bag or on her possessions.
The footage was filmed by a trembling woman inside the hospital who was forced to hide behind a chair and medical table.
Security guards arrived swiftly and managed to subdue the woman before handing her to cops who took her to the local station for questioning.
No one was injured in the incident.
Birgul G told cops she didn’t intend on harming anyone despite the threats and having the powerful weapon on her.
She instead claimed it was a cry for help after years of abuse from her drug-addicted son.
On the day of the ordeal she says she was feeling unwell and chose the hospital because it was nearby to her home.
Birgul G said in her police statement, according to news site Artigercek: “I could not stand my son’s torture any longer.
“I had no intention of harming anyone. I did not go to shoot anyone.
“I went to the hospital thinking that if someone saw the gun in my hand, they might kill me.”
The woman was later charged with “threat” and “deprivation of liberty”.
She is still being held in custody but is expected to be sent to prison in the coming days.

The Kahramanmaras Governor’s Office released a statement on the scary situation saying: “A 1979-born Turkish citizen named B.G., who attempted an attack inside the hospital by claiming that there was a bomb device in the package she was holding, was subdued by the security forces who arrived at the scene.
“It was determined through observation by the teams that the paper bag mentioned by the individual was empty and visible from the outside.
“In the investigation and her statement, it was revealed that she was receiving psychiatric treatment and did not feel well.
“Stating that her intention was to harm herself and that she chose the hospital because it was close to her residence.
“No citizens or healthcare workers were harmed in the hospital due to the incident.”
Dr. Lütfi Tiyekli, the President of the Kahramanmaraş Medical Chamber, did say some of the staff were left seriously affected by the evening.
He said on Saturday: “Today, violence in healthcare was narrowly avoided at Kahramanmaraş Children’s Hospital.
“We can’t understand what happened, but all of our colleagues are very scared, they are in a very bad condition, we are trying to understand the incident.”

Last night, Defence Secretary John Healey said: “British forces have this evening played their part in attempts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
“I want to thank all British personnel involved in the operation for their courage and professionalism.”
No further details were provided by the Ministry of Defence about how British forces were involved.
In April, the RAF shot down Iranian drones bound for Israel, with then PM Rishi Sunak saying the action had helped save Israeli lives.
In a statement from Downing Street on Tuesday evening, Sir Keir Starmer said Iran has “menaced the Middle East for far too long” and it must stop the attacks.
It comes as…
He said: “We stand with Israel and we recognise her right to self-defence in the face of this aggression.
“Together with its proxies like Hezbollah, Iran has menaced the Middle East for far too long, chaos and destruction brought not just to Israel, but to the people they live amongst in Lebanon and beyond.”
The Pentagon said the blitz was twice the size of Iran’s April attack, while a key adviser slammed the strike as “defeated and ineffective”.
Early warning systems detected the launches at around 7.30pm local time and skies above Israel began lighting up within minutes.
Red tracers from Iron Dome and David’s Sling interceptions were seen blasting the incoming munitions sending white flaming debris crashing earthwards.
Explosions could be heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as people right across the country were told to shelter themselves for protection.

The vast majority of the incoming rockets were intercepted but videos showed a number hitting the country, including near a mall, Mossad HQ, and an airbase.
Following the barrage, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu slammed Iran for making a “big mistake” and threatened “it will pay for it”.
He said: “There is also a deliberate and murderous hand behind this attack – it comes from Tehran.
“We will stand by the rule we established: whoever attacks us – we will attack him.”
Iran said it launched the strikes in retaliation for the killing of the leaders of its proxy forces over the past few months.
The escalation came after Israel began a ground invasion in Lebanon on Monday night, carrying out what it described as “limited, localised” operations.
What is Israel’s Iron Dome & how does it work?
ISRAEL’S air defence system is one of the best in the world having successfully intercepted thousands of rockets.

Iron Dome is a counter rocket, artillery, and mortar (C-RAM) short range air defence system.
It is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 2–43 miles away.
It intercepts rockets that are travelling in the direction of urban areas and brings them down – the first system of its kind in the world.
Israel hopes to increase the range of the dome’s interceptions to 250km and make it able to stop rockets coming from two directions.
Developed by Rafael Advanced Defence Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries, it can be operated in all weather conditions including fog, dust storm, low clouds and rain.
From 2011 to 2021, the United States contributed a total of $1.6billion to the Iron Dome defence system, befor another US$1billion was approved by the US Congress in 2022.
How does it work?
The dome is made up of missile batteries which are shaped like giant match boxes and are tilted in the direction of Gaza.
The Iron Dome monitor detects a target using radar and monitors its trajectory.
A control centre then calculates an interception point and then commands a rocket to launch if the foreign missile is heading towards an urban area.
Once in contact with the missile, the rocket explodes and brings it down.
Each launcher contains 20 Tamir Missiles with proximity war heads and there are several batteries positioned around the country.
Since being implemented in 2011 the computer systems have been updated, improved and upgrades to improve the accuracy of the rockets.

Thousands of people have been evacuated and others given a shelter in place order as hazardous smoke drifts through the air.
The site, run by BioLab, is about 30 miles east of Atlanta and manufactures swimming pool and spa treatment products – including using chlorine, according to CNN.
Those chemicals have now been burning for hours with the fire still going 12 hours after it began.
The blaze started at around 5am EST when a sprinkler at the facility malfunctioned and sprayed water on a chemical that sparked an explosion, Atlanta News First reported.
Hazmat crews and other emergency services have respond to a the fire with the nearby highway also blocked off.
Rockdale County Sheriff, Eric Levett, said: “I want to strongly ask all of you to please spread the word to stay away from this area at this point.
“It’s burning pretty good. We’re trying to get that under control, but at the same time we’re also trying to get the traffic under control.”
The southwest wind is blowing the smoke across to Walton County.
Walton County Emergency Management director, Carl Morrow, has shared an alert for the county residents.
The alert stated: “Walton County EMA is aware of what is happening in our neighboring county of Rockdale.

“We are monitoring the situation and advise that if you smell a chlorine odour you should turn off your air conditioners, turn on your ceiling fans and if possible bring your outside animals indoors.”
A BioLab statement said: “Our employees are accounted for with no injuries reported. Our team is on the scene, working with first responders and local authorities to assess and contain the situation.”
“As always, the safety of our community remains our top priority.”
Conyers Mayor Vince Evans urged residents who choose not to evacuate to stay in place and not wander or drive around the city.
He said: “This is not the time to do any type of sightseeing. We are strongly encouraging everyone, no matter where you’re coming from, but especially Rockdale residents, to stay out of this area.”
Residents between Sigman Road and Interstate 20 have been asked to evacuate.
In September 2020, BioLab experienced a “thermal decomposition event” that also led to a fire that temporarily closed Interstate 20.
