  • The Prettiest Boho Dresses That Were Made to Be Worn in Fall

The Prettiest Boho Dresses That Were Made to Be Worn in Fall

There’s something about boho dresses that we’ll always love. Maybe it’s that they’re a whole outfit in one, maybe it’s their effortlessness, or maybe it’s that they encourage us to twirl around. Whichever the reason, we’re always down to wear pretty boho dresses. However, sometimes, the weather isn’t in our favor (hello, 90-degree heat), and long-sleeved maxi dresses just don’t add up.

That’s why our boho dreams come alive when fall rolls around. Not only can we wear them with a pair of boots, but we can also have fun layering them and contrasting their fun prints with the fabrics of our favorite jackets.

So to share our excitement, we’ve rounded up 24 boho dresses that were made to be worn in fall.

  • The Chicest Shoes of the Season—Period

The Chicest Shoes of the Season—Period

As much as fashion people like to pretend they don’t play favorites, they do, and their favorite season is fall—period. The collections are the biggest, the pieces are the chicest, and the styling is the most creative. It makes sense that the shoes that come out every autumn are the most elite of the entire year, whether they’re boots, mules, flats, or sneakers. The options are literally endless. But with such a large selection comes one problem: If you want to find the very best ones, sacrificing a few hours will certainly be necessary.

That’s where I come in—your fall-shoe guru who has all the time in the world to scroll through Moda Operandi, Nordstrom, Zara, J.Crew, H&M, Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, and more and handpick the footwear that’s deserving of more than a second look. While I’m certainly tempted to gatekeep all of the styles I found during my search, my need to tell everyone about every chic thing I find far outweighs any desire I feel to keep them to myself.

As a fall and winter staple, the timeless knit piece has become a go-to option for fashion lovers everywhere—especially when they find themselves at a loss for what to wear. Luckily, when it comes to styling simple basics, no one does it quite like our favorite fashion people. Case in point: a black turtleneck with checked trousers and a PVC trench coat. And just in case you needed more ideas for how to style the classic sweater, we gathered the best looks this stylish set has put together.

  • The Best (and Worst) Fabrics to Wear During Summer

The Best (and Worst) Fabrics to Wear During Summer

    Nylon

As a fully synthetic material, nylon is the opposite of breathable. Because it’s designed to repel water and has a low level of absorption, clothing made from nylon tends to trap heat and sweat against the skin.

    Acrylic

Much like nylon, acrylic is not a natural fabric. While it often shows up in summer dresses and tops, the material can often be hot and abrasive, making it one of the worst summer fabrics.

    Polyester

Another summer fabric that’s best avoided is polyester. This common fabric is travel-friendly and wrinkle-resistant, but it also resists moisture, making it less than ideal for hot summer weather.

    Vinyl

The slick wet look of vinyl has its place and time, but with a synthetic profile that’s also waterproof and ideal for upholstery, it’s not exactly a great choice for summer clothing. To get your vinyl fix, opt for vinyl shoes and accessories.

    Fleece

It may come as little surprise that a material made to keep the body warm is a poor choice among summer fabrics. While certain variations of wool are okay (articles specifically labeled “summer wool” are a good start), fleece is actually derived from polyester, so it comes with the same issues of trapping moisture and reducing natural ventilation.
