Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for the release of Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. On Wednesday, a special screening of the biopic film was held in Mumbai.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal served couple goals at the screening of Sam Bahadur as they were clicked twinning in black. Katrina opted for a stunning black off-shoulder dress while Vicky wore a black jacket and jeans combination.

Vicky Kaushal talks about his film Sam Bahadur’s box-office clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

Two highly anticipated Bollywood movies are releasing this Friday – the biographical war drama Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal and the crime thriller Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. Vicky Kaushal has commented on the clash, emphasising that despite the competition, they contribute to Hindi cinema.

In a recent interview with a leading news portal, Vicky Kaushal was asked about his thoughts on the release of Animal on the same day, even though Sam Bahadur had initially announced the date. In a playful manner, Vicky responded with a cricket reference stating that two opening batsmen come together to play for the same team. It isn’t a clash. He asserted that they are playing for “Hindi cinema”.

When asked to predict which movie would be a hit and which one would focus on smaller achievements, Vicky replied that it would ultimately be up to the audience to decide.

Sam Bahadur is a biopic film, based on India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film focuses on the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is based on a fractured relationship between a father and a son. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Both films are releasing on December 1, 2023.

Aditya Dhar’s and more upcoming new movies on Indo-Pak conflict

We have seen the impact of Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. It was a visual treat for fans with seetimaar dialogues and bharpur action of Tara Singh. And now URI fame Aditya Dhar is reportedly working on his next untitled movie which will be based on the India-Pakistan theme as well. Yes, you read that right.

Aditya Dhar making a movie on terrorist killings in Pakistani

As per a report in Pinkvilla, the film is an action thriller which is inspired by true events. Aditya has researched the subject and was quite fascinated by the way the operation was conducted. As per reports, the terrorist killings in Pakistan are said to be backed by the Indian Intelligence Agencies. Aditya Dhar intends to tap into this untold story, the source tells Pinkvilla.

The report claims that Aditya Dhar and the team have researched the subject for months. They also have detailed information on the assassinations. “Much like URI, this one too will be a thrilling and exciting story to unfold on the big screen. He plans to mount it on a big screen and will take on floors in April – May 2024,” the report said. The one untitled thriller which will soon proceed to the casting stage. He wants an A-list actor to spear the mission-based movie. Aditya also has three productions for release. It includes Dhoom Dhaam starring Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi, a political thriller and Baramulla.

More movies with India-Pakistan rivalry or war plots

Well, Aditya Dhar’s movie is not just the one which will be based on the India Vs Pakistan war. There is Lahore, 1947, starring Sunny Deol which will be produced by Aamir Khan. There’s also Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal. The movie is a biopic on the life of Sam Manekshaw. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer new movie Tiger 3 also has an India-Pakistan angle to it. There is also Sky Force. The Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya starrer movie is set around India Pakistan Air war. Emergency starring Kangana Ranaut is also in the pipeline. There’s talk about Border 2 as well. And then, Gadar 2 makers hinted at Gadar 3 too.

Vicky Kaushal, who is set to play the titular character Sam Bahadur aka Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film, looked dapper as always in a black hooded pullover. The talented actor completed his look with a pair of blue distressed trousers and a black cap. Sanya Malhotra, who is set to play Sam Manekshaw’s wife Silloo Manekshaw, looked gorgeous in a white ruffled off-shoulder dress, which she paired with a messy bun, minimal accessories, dewy makeup, and a pair of heels.

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is playing the role of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India, looked glamorous in a black and white striped, off-shoulder dress.
