    Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR in the lead role, was released in theaters on September 27, 2024. Marking its first anniversary, the film’s makers officially announced its sequel, titled Devara 2.

    For those unfamiliar, Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR in the lead role, follows the story of a village chieftain, Devara. Along with his contemporaries, he makes a living by smuggling goods from the middle of the sea to influential clients.

    However, after a fateful incident reveals that the goods being smuggled are actually weapons, Devara turns against the practice and begins to hunt down anyone involved in it. Betrayed by his own people, the man disappears, leaving behind a chilling message and threatening to catch anyone who continues smuggling.

    Years later, his contemporaries live in fear of Devara, while his son, Vara (also played by Jr NTR), harbors resentment against his father for abandoning him and his family.

    The movie ended on a cliffhanger note, laying the foundation for an upcoming sequel.

    In addition to Jr NTR, the film boasted an ensemble cast that included Jahnvi Kapoor (in her Telugu debut), Saif Ali Khan, Kalaiyarasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, and many more in key roles.

    Jr NTR’s next movies

    Jr NTR was recently seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in the spy action film War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie serves as a sequel to War (2019) and is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe.

    Looking ahead, the actor is currently working on his film Dragon (NTRNeel), directed by Prashanth Neel. While more details about the film are yet to be revealed, it is believed that Rukmini Vasanth and Tovino Thomas have been roped in for the project, portraying key roles.

During a recent conversation at ABP Network’s Ideas of India Summit 3.0, Kareena was asked how she dealt with the fact that her sons especially Taimur Ali Khan have been under the radar of the paparazzi especially Taimur Ali Khan from day one. Addressing ‘media’s obsession’ with Taimur Ali Khan and if it troubled her as a mother, the actress opined the only way to deal with it was to normalize it.

    The actress stated, “I think the only way I could deal with the media attention on Taimur was to actually be chilled about it because if I were hyper about it  which maybe I was inside, or openly expressed what I was feeling, I feel somewhere, it would have affected Taimur.”

    “If he (Taimur) was aware that something was upsetting me or I was affected by too many cameras around him. If I kept stressing over ‘Kya kar raha hai? Kyun photo le rahe?’ (What is he doing? Why are they taking pictures of Taimur?) or I told the photographer, ‘Photo mat lo!’ (Don’t take pictures)’, it would have left a lasting impact on him,” told Kareena.

    In addition to this, the actress further reflected on how her husband, Saif Ali Khan was the one who actually suggested remaining calm while dealing with it.  “We can’t run away from this,” Saif told me. He believes that instead of trying to scare him further, let’s just take it in our stride and just walk with your head down outside the airport or wherever it is. After a certain age, Taimur will understand, which he does even now that his parents are famous. He’s quite easy about it,” she added.

    During the conversation, the actress also opined that despite being papped or being a public figure in the age of the internet, there is a side to her that is extremely private which lets her maintain her sanity. Bebo expressed her belief by stating that certain things should be kept away from the limelight and be kept a little bit for the unknown’. The actress said, “Most people assume that I am either Geet or Pooh and I made them believe that could be a possibility, but there is a side to me that I like to keep a little private.”

    Being an actor and a public figure in the age of social media where people’s judgments and opinions can have an impact on her happiness and emotional well-being, Kareena credits that ‘little secrecy’ which lets her have mental stability.

    On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen in Crew. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film also stars Kriti Sanon and Tabu in the lead roles, with Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh in the cameo appearances. The film will hit the theaters on March 29, 2024.

    Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and others has been receiving a lot of hate on social media. The film helmed by Om Raut has done tremendous business in the first two days of its release, however, on social media, it has received severe backlash for various reasons.     Adipurush makers to change dialogues keeping in mind the sentiments of fans

    Writer Manoj Muntashir who initially defended the dialogues took to his Twitter handle to reveal that the makers have now decided to bring some changes in Prabhas, Kriti Sanon starrer. He wrote a lengthy note about the backlash received by him. He penned about people saying nasty things and addressing his mother because a few dialogues hurt them. He penned that he wrote around 4000 lines for Adipurush and some sentiments got hurt by 5 lines. He wrote, “I wrote dialogues of more than 4000 lines in Adipurush, some sentiments got hurt on 5 lines. In those hundreds of lines, where Shri Ram was glorified, Maa Sita’s chastity was described, praise was also to be received for her, which I don’t know why I did not get.” He also questioned why he got termed Sanatan Drohi over a few lines.     Prabhas led Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh is all set to release. The film has witnessed very good advance bookings for its Hindi version, purely based on the numbers and not the means by which a chunk of them have been ensured. The advance numbers have confirmed that Adipurush will become the second biggest opener of the year for its Hindi version, just behind Pathaan and on an all India and worldwide level, Adipurush will become the biggest opener of the year by an around 10-15 percent margin. The global first day takings at the box office shall be in the north of Rs 120 crores gross.

     

    Adipurush Sells 2.85 Lakh Tickets In National Chains For The Opening Day In Hindi

    The 3 national chains of India, namely PVR, Inox and Cinepolis have cumulatively sold around 2.85 lakh tickets for the opening day of Adipurush (Hindi), thus helping it secure the fourth place in the list of highest advance bookings in the national chains for the opening day, in the Hindi language, post pandemic. While Pathaan sits at the top, KGF: Chapter 2 and Brahmastra settle for the second and third spot respectively. PVR is obviously the leading national movie chain, followed by Inox and then Cinepolis. Including the ticket sales of Adipurush in Telugu, the total count of tickets sold in the national chains for the opening day go up to well over 4 lakhs. If films (Hindi language) of all time are considered, the advances of Adipurush are the 12th highest.

    Movie Chains Like MovieMax Have Observed Very Pleasing Ticket Sales

    The pre-bookings for Adipurush (Hindi) are genuinely promising in a lot of small chains and centers but the conspicuous way the ticket purchases have happened across national chains have garnered more attention than they should have. To note, a non national chain like MovieMax has sold around 10,000 tickets for the opening day and 20,000 tickets for the weekend purely in Hindi. The Telugu version of the film has sold around 11,000 tickets in total, taking the cumulative weekend total to 31,000 tickets which is very good. MovieMax is not a high-end chain and focuses on middle class folks and for the film to sell these many tickets surely is encouraging.

    Adipurush has a lot going for itself and if the content clicks with the audience that it is targetting, it can really manage to do some excellent numbers.

    Adipurush has seen a revival that few would have expected. When the first teaser came out in 2022, filmmaker Om Raut was trolled life right and centre. The online bashing made the makers return back to the drawing board. Now, the movie is coming on June 16, 2023 and experts are predicting Rs 100 crores at the box office in the first weekend itself. Now, it has been reported that movie has already recovered 85 per cent of its budget. Adipurush has been made on a budget of Rs 500 crores.     The entertainment site Bollywood Hungama has reported that Adipurush has already recovered Rs 432 crores already. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon‘s movie has made Rs 247 crores from its non-theatrical avenues like satellite rights, music rights, digital rights and so on. The portal reported that Adipurush has made Rs 185 crores as minimum guarantee from the South. This means that producers will break even if the movie makes above Rs 100 or 120 crores at the box office. The upgraded VFX has helped the film.     The songs of the movie are being liked a lot. The chant of Jai Shree Ram at the end of the trailer has given goosebumps to the audience. Prabhas has a huge fan following all over India. Trade experts feel that Adipurush will cross Rs 100 crores in the first three days only just from the Hindi belt. People who have seen the second trailer of Adipurush are saying that it is bigger and better than the first one. The delayed really seems to have helped this film. The film suffered losses over Rs 100 crores. Kriti Sanon’s last movie Shehzada was also a flop at the box office.
