The Best Robot Vacuums to Keep Your Home Clean

    [ad_1]

No other product I’ve tested has advanced as quickly as the humble robot vacuum. Just a few short years ago, they were mostly annoying, overpriced devices that fell off steps and got stuck on rugs. Now you can find robot vacs at every price point with an incredible array of features, including mapping capabilities, self-emptying bins, and even cameras.

Vacuuming an ever-changing household is a complex task, and no robot vacuum is perfect. However, I test them in one of the most challenging environments possible—a carpeted, two-story family home with messy kids and a shedding dog—and I find them indispensable. Whether you’re choking on cat hair, need to lighten your chore load, or just want to spend more time with your family, we have a pick that will help.

  • This Shark robot vacuum and mop is nearly half off right now

This Shark robot vacuum and mop is nearly half off right now

It’s spring cleaning season, but that doesn’t mean you need to get on the floor and scrub. Robot vacuums are a great way to keep your home clean while doing little to nothing, and a few robovacs from Shark are currently on sale. One of the best deals comes courtesy of a 44 percent discount on Shark’s AI Robot Vacuum and Mop. The device is down to $270 from $480 — only $20 more than its all-time low price.

    Shark

Shark’s AI Robot Vacuum and Mop is a great option for anyone looking to try a robot vacuum or upgrade their entry-level model. It’s nearly identical to Shark’s much pricier Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop, which appears on our list of the best robot vacuums for 2024 — it just doesn’t have a self-emptying base.

The AI Robot Vacuum and Mop does have quite a few gadgets, including home mapping and AI laser navigation for detecting row-by-row precision and detecting objects four inches or taller. The mop executes 100 scrubs per minute and follows no-mop zones. You can use UltraClean mode on specific, busier rooms, with Shark claiming vacuum work 30 percent better at cleaning carpets in the setting.

Here at The Kitchn, we see internet-famous products all the time, and part of our job is to discern whether they’re actually worth the investment. To determine this, we’ll sometimes test those TikTok-viral or seemingly gimmicky products. Other times, there’s no need, because they sell like hotcakes — or should we say, waffles. One novel household staple we recently came across is the EggoVac Robotic Vacuum and Mop by Bissell. It sold out in just a few hours the day it initially launched, but if you missed that, you’ll be happy to learn that the machine is being restocked today! Available on Bissell’s website and on EggoVac.com, this fun collab not only looks adorable (and appetizing), but it’ll leave your floors spotless regardless of whether you have hard floors, carpet, or both. Best of all, the EggoVac cleans without you having to lift a finger, and it also doubles as a mop! It might look like a waffle, but this vacuum is no gimmick.

What is the EggoVac Robotic Vacuum and Mop?

This machine was designed with parents in mind, and that’s not only evident in its waffle-themed appearance. For those with small children or pets, this two-in-one cleaning tool will be a post-meal game-changer thanks to its powerful suction, 140-minute run time, and 360-degree mapping technology. Simply use the Bissell Connect app to map out desired cleaning routes. Once the EggoVac has vacuumed, you can switch it to mop mode, during which spinning scrub pads will remove any remaining debris from sealed hard floors. You’ll also be happy to learn that the machine has a built-in sensor that helps it avoid carpets when mopping. Oh, and how could we forget? Your purchase of the EggoVac also gets you a freezer’s worth of Eggo waffles!

    What Bissell Reviewers Are Saying

If the reviews are any indication, this tough little vacuum is going to give you back a lot of the time and energy you’ve been spending with a manual vac. It’s perfect for those with busy lifestyles and even busier households, so if you fall into either camp, snag an EggoVac now before it sells out again!

Buy: EggoVac Robotic Vacuum and Mop, $150 (normally $549.99)

  • The Best Housewarming Gifts For A Clean Home

The Best Housewarming Gifts For A Clean Home

    [ad_1]

New homeowners may love their new homes, but if they’re like most Americans, they don’t love basic household cleaning tasks. Surveys reveal that vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sweeping are always on the list of the most hated household chores. However, the latest cleaning tools make it easier than ever to maintain a clean home – and some even provide hands-free cleaning. So if you’re searching for one of the best housewarming gifts, consider these helpful items.

    Dyson Omni-Glide

For smaller homes with hard floors, the cordless Dyson Omni-Glide is slim and lightweight (less than 5 pounds). It also has an articulating neck and 360-degree casts, so the vacuum can lay flat when cleaning under furniture, swerve around the legs of chairs and tables, and even clean sideways. It can also convert to a handheld vacuum, and using the combi-crevice tool, it’s easy to dust high areas like HVAC vents and ceiling fans, as well as in-between sofa cushions. When not in use, it sits in the wall-mounted charging dock, which saves valuable floor space.

    Roborock Q Revo

Robot vacuums can make cleaning infinitely easier, but the Roborock Q Revo takes the ease factor to another level. It’s self-washing, self-drying, self-emptying, and self-refilling, so there’s really nothing to do. The Roborock Q Revo uses an all-rubber brush that avoids tangles on both carpet and hard floors, and it has dual spinning mops to clean hard floors. The auto-mop lifting feature lifts when on carpets to avoid getting them wet. The robot vacuum is also smart enough to avoid obstacles on the floor, and can be controlled via the Roborock App, Amazon Alexa, and Siri.

    Shark Scrub + Steam Blaster

For cleaning, gently scrubbing, and sanitizing hard floors, the Shark Steam & Scrub Steam sanitizing mop makes it quick and easy. It has three cleaning settings: Light Mode for quick cleanups, Normal Mode for everyday use, and Deep Mode for tough stains. The sanitizing mode removes 99.9% of bacteria, and the rotating microfiber pads scrub 150 times a minute. The pads are also washable, so they can be reused over and over. The mop’s swivel steering mechanism can easily maneuver around furniture and the LED headlights make it easy to see hidden debris. The mop can be used on all sealed floors, from hardwood to marble/tile/stone, to laminate and vinyl.

    Dreametech R20

For cleaning both carpets and hard floors, theDreametech R20 has a soft roller brush and a multi-surface brush, along with LED lights on the front. The intelligent dirt detection system determines if the surface has light, medium, or thick dust, and adjusts the suction level accordingly. The Dreametech R20 has a 90 minute runtime before the battery needs to be recharged. In addition, the smart LED screen lets you view the selected cleaning mode. The vacuum can convert to a handheld model to use with the wide combination tool, motorized mini brush, and flexible combination tool. It also includes a wall-hanging charging and storage mount.

    Bissell Revolution HydroSteam

Banish dirt from carpets with the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam, which also removes stains and allergens with the two DirtLifter power brushes, which have 12 rows of bristles. It has three cleaning modes, including Quick Dry mode, and the SteamWash Max Clean mode. There’s also a Steam Pretreat Mode that uses HydroSteam technology. When using Quick Dry, carpets dry in approximately 30 minutes. Whether the household has pets or not, the two attachments (the 6-inch tough stain tool, and 2-in-1 pet upholstery tool), can be used to remove stains from sofas and other types of furniture.

    Samsung Bespoke Jet AI

For an elegant vacuum cleaner that looks too good to hide in the closet, the Samsung Bespoke Jet AI fits the bill. It has a dual brush that can be used on both carpets and hard floors, and the telescopic wand (which adjusts from 23 inches to 31 inches) makes it easy for each user to find the most comfortable height. The AI cleaning mode senses the floor type and adjusts suction accordingly. The vacuum has a 100-minute runtime, and can also be converted to a handheld vacuum and used with the anti-tangle pet tool, combination tool, and long reach crevice tool to dust and vacuum other areas. When not in use, the satin black vacuum cleaner can be inserted into the all-in-one clean station, which will automatically empty the debris and charge the vacuum cleaner.

    Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

Another hands-free robot vacuum option, the Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni has a cleaning station that includes auto hot air drying, which helps to remove bacteria. It also washes the mop with hot water, has auto water refill, and holds up to 90 days of dust. Using a built-in laser navigation system, it can avoid both still and moving obstacles. The robot vacuum’s camera can even be used like an indoor security camera to remotely view what’s happening in the home and has a talk feature for communication. The robot’s mopping system spins at 180 rotations a minute to effectively clean hard floors, and the rubber brush cleans hard floors and carpets.

    Roborock Dyad Pro Combo

The Roborock Dyad Pro Combo provides multiple cleaning options. For starters, there’s the wet/dry vacuum with 17000 Pa suction power, and multi rollers to provide an edge-to-edge cleaning. The smart sensors automatically adjust water flow and cleaning power depending on the dirt level it detects. The brushes are self-cleaning and self-drying as well. But you can also change the configuration to use the multi-surface brush like a regular cordless stick vacuum. In addition, the vacuum converts to a handheld vac, which can be used with the motorized mini-brush, crevice tool, and dusting brush.

    Eufy Clean X9 Pro

Using 5,500 Pa suction, a multidirectional brush, and 3 mopping rotations per second, the Eufy Clean X9 Pro cleans both carpets and hard floors equally well – and when carpet is detected, the mop is automatically raised to keep carpets dry while vacuuming. The Eufy Clean X9 Pro also uses sensors and an AI camera system to detect and avoid objects on the floor. In addition, the auto clean station washes the mop pads and then dries them to prevent odors and bacteria from forming. The robot vacuum can also be controlled via the Eufy App, which can create customized cleaning by room, and also set no-go zones, is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.

    Dyson V15 Detect Submarine

For those who would prefer to completely separate mopping from vacuuming, the Dyson V15 Detect Submarine, which has a 90-minute runtime, uses the Submarine wet roller brush to wash hard floors (it also includes a clean water tank), or it can be swapped out with the Fluffy Optic cleaner head (which has an angled light to see hidden dust) to vacuum hard floors. There’s also a Digital Motorbar cleaning head with nylon bristles that sucks up dust from both hard floors and carpets. In addition, the vacuum can be converted to a handheld and then used with the crevice tool and the brush bar.
