Monica Garcia will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after just one season according to multiple reports.
While Bravo has yet to weigh in on the news, Ryan Bailey teased an upcoming announcement about her departure on his podcast this week while also stating that two women will be brought to the series to replace Monica, 40, for its upcoming fifth season.
“Let me break some news to everybody out there. Now, this is from a source that has never led me astray. This person is the one that told me Annemarie Wiley was gonna be the new cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Um, I am hearing that and I think you’re gonna hear this announcement probably after the finale this week or next week, Monica will not be coming back to the show,” Ryan stated on So Bad It’s Good, via The Talk of Shame on Instagram, adding that he hopes he’s wrong.
Following Ryan’s report, PEOPLE magazine confirmed Monica is indeed departing the RHOSLC, but the outlet did not confirm if Monica was fired or leaving on her own accord.
The Talk of Shame went on to say that Ryan confirmed producers are “deep into casting,” stating that he revealed one of the new cast members’ names was Britani. As for the second possible newbie, she was described as being “very rich” and “super into fashion” — even more so than RHOBH‘s Dorit Kemsley, 47.
In a series of screenshots shared by Bravo Snark Side on Instagram, Britani Bateman and Meili Workman were identified as potential newbies for season five.
According to Britani’s Instagram bio, she’s an actor, singer, and entrepreneur who works at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. Also included in her bio is an IMDb link, which confirms past roles in The Mistle-Tones, Skinwalker Ranch, and The Eleventh Hour.
Meanwhile, Britani describes herself as a Utah-based model and “Happy Juice dealer” in her own Instagram bio.

Amid the rumors, Meili took to her Instagram page, where she shared a series of photos from a recent Sundance Film Festival event, during which she posed for a photo with RHOSLC cast member Whitney Rose, 37, further fueling rumors of her potential addition to the show.

Monica Garcia‘s mom, Linda, is fighting back on X, formerly known as Twitter, after being accused of “praying” to land a role on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City before her daughter did.
Following Tuesday night’s second part of the season four reunion, which saw Monica, 40, telling her castmates that Linda had hoped she’d be named as part of the cast if Monica wasn’t chosen, Linda shared a message with her followers in which she slammed Monica for the “[lies]” and “[half-truths]” she’s told on the show.
“Everything Monica says about me is a lie or half-truth. I NEVER applied/auditioned,” Linda stated on January 16. “Not [season four] or any other. I’m an award-winning journalist and TV producer. That was the TV job in NYC — News Journalist/Producer. I already had the job.”
Linda also told her online audience that “reality TV is not [her] cup of tea.”
Along with her message, Linda included a series of messages sent between herself and Monica in February 2023.
“I know they don’t need me,” Linda had written in the first message.
“Yes I do … I need you,” Monica had replied.
Linda then shared an additional message in which she suggested she was not open to being part of RHOSLC because she didn’t want to sell her soul.
“And I wanna be there for you!! [One hundred percent] … But I ain’t selling my soul!!” she exclaimed with a praying emoji and crying while laughing emoji.

Also on Tuesday’s episode of the RHOSLC reunion, Monica said that Linda had left her family in Pennsylvania to travel to New York in hopes of landing a career in television and confirmed they have not spoken since filming wrapped.
Meanwhile, on her own social media account on Tuesday night, Monica shared a series of supportive posts from her fans and followers, one of whom applauded her as the “only” honest person on RHOSLC, noting that she isn’t “boring” like the rest.
“Not [Monica Garcia] carrying this [season and] reunion on her back. The only person honest in the cast who isn’t boring [as f*ck]. Legit paid $80 to download live TV on Fubo to watch her for these reunions. She is iconicccc,” the person had stated.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season four reunion, part three, airs next Tuesday, January 23, at 8/7c on Bravo.

Receipts. Proof. Timeline. Screenshots.
Jen Shah’s former designer Koa Johnson – who helped run the Reality Von Tease ‘troll’ page – revealed Heather Gay’s alleged DMs, suggesting she knew about Jen’s hot-mic recordings a month before the leak and was actively trying to use them against Jen. The recordings show Jen yelling at Koa and threatening to “beat the s**t out of” him.
On the season finale of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Heather raised her gavel against Monica Garcia, who leaked the audio. But the following information suggests Heather’s secret involvement.
“[Heather] knew about these recordings before they were posted…” said Koa, via @nosmokenomore on Instagram, “and was willing to use them against Jen. And I have proof of that…”
He then dropped screenshots of his alleged message exchange with Heather.
“If anyone asks you why you don’t work with her or if she tries to blame you – a 2 second excerpt of that audio will vindicate,” Heather allegedly wrote.
The message was timestamped on February 1, 2021, which was one month before Reality Von Tease leaked the recordings and nine months before Monica ever contacted casting.
When Koa shared he was getting “threats,” Heather allegedly responded, “Ugh I’m so sorry. I’ll give them to Meredith she will know what to do.”
She allegedly told Koa to “make receipts” and have “documents” showing that Jen stole gowns Koa made for her.
“Can I play the audio for Meredith?” Heather allegedly asked. “You need to get ahead of this. Can I give the audio to bravo or?”

Jen Shah got “direct calls” from execs after she refused the interview with Andy Cohen before her prison sentence, according to new claims being made by Jen’s rep.
Her team said the network “worked over time” to “bring down Jen,” and they knew about Monica Garcia’s controversial past amid her casting for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“I understand that emotions are high right now as a lot of misinformation is being put out to the public maliciously due to a decision that was made back in January 2023,” wrote Jen’s rep, via a press release on dearjenshah.com. “That decision was to not move forward with a 1:1 interview [with Andy] and a mini-series.”
“Now that certain terms have been disclosed publicly on a radio show, I find it important to make transparent the true events as Jen closes the door on this toxic relationship with the network and production company,” the rep added, referring to Andy’s recent claims. “The 1:1 interview would [have] take[n] place in her home as they discussed the particulars of her case, and her relationship with the other ladies of the show. Due to the holidays and the looming sentencing date approaching, Jen elected to spend time with her family, as well as continue to abide by the advice of her legal representation – which is why she did not attend the Salt Lake City Season 3 reunion.”
According to the rep, Jen declined the network’s offer after weighing “certain clauses” of the agreement over “exclusivities and misrepresentation.”
“From there began a host of unknown and direct calls from production and network executives, attorneys, and other relative parties about this being her ‘opportunity’ … and threats of her exclusivity with the [show],” the release continued. “We were told ‘you know how much of an honor this is to sit down with Andy’. These calls and emails lasted until the middle of January, which were all met with respectful declines.”
The release also claimed executive producers wanted Jen’s husband Coach Sharrieff Shah to film for the latest season.
“That decision did not sit well with the network and production company,” said the rep. “Since Jen has made this decision, including declining other request from executive producers over the months, (I.E Asking Coach Shah to film for season four, inquiring on her life in prison, and her release date which continues to move up) – the network and production company have worked over time in their attempt to retaliate and bring down Jen.”
In comes Monica.
“These examples [of retaliation] include casting an individual that was given a cease and desist back in 2021, in which the production company, and network were sent a copy of at that time. Allowing various guest to come on a weekly variety show and imply Jen’s involvement in a physical act that did not occur,” alleged the rep, alluding to Heather’s black eye. “Even sending certain cast members to try and rekindle with Jen or close family members in ‘hopes’ of getting added to her video call list, for what we can all assume was for storyline in Season 4. These instances were all met with no reply.”
The release said Jen will “speak her side of the story” in time, and they cryptically added: “The great thing about technology is that all phone calls, emails, and text messages are recorded.”
Meanwhile, Andy threw some major shade at Jen during Sunday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live while addressing rapper Eminem’s lawsuit against RHOP stars Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant.
“Who ever thought you would be in a lawsuit with Eminem over the word shady? That is dumb,” said Andy.
Robyn responded: “It’s the most bizarre twilight zone…”
Andy replied, “Kinda like Jen Shah tweeting from jail.”

A leaked video showed a screaming fight between Monica Garcia and her estranged mom Linda. In it, Linda called her daughter an “actress,” and she said her “job” was to get screen time.
Monica responded to the leak by calling out her former “best friend” Tenesha Luckett – who’s been releasing more and more receipts of Monica’s alleged behavior behind the scenes. Monica then called it her own “karma” for exposing Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmates on her secret Reality Von Tease account, which she allegedly shared with Tenesha.
In a video Tenesha assumedly leaked, Monica and her mom Linda are arguing about RHOSLC.
“The only thing that you did was unite those four a**holes!” said Linda, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “How can you forget that your job is to get on air time, to get into as many scenes as possible.”
She then seemed to tell Monica to “play nice” with one of the castmates despite their “beef.”
“You’re an actress! You gotta pretend!” Linda continued. “It’s a job. It’s a show. It’s a reality show that you worked hard to get on.”
“You left me completely in the f**king water with these b**ches!” responded Monica, addressing her mom refusing to defend Monica’s behavior at Angie Katsanevas‘ event. “You took Angie’s side! I was not a disaster!”
“Get the f**k out of my house!” yelled Monica in another clip shared by @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “I fell down the stairs and you’re like, ‘That’s on you’! … You’re disgusting!”
Monica sarcastically thanked Linda for coming over with her “toxic s**t.”
“You abandoned me [at the event],” said Linda, who later claimed she had to “drive home in a s**t box.”
“I abandoned you!?” Monica clapped back. Are you f**king serious right now?”
When Linda asked Monica to stop yelling, the daughter responded, “I don’t have to! I’m in my house!”
“You lost sight of the job,” said Linda. When Monica declared that Linda didn’t care that she fell down the stairs, Linda responded, “No, I didn’t.”
On her Instagram Stories, Monica clapped back at her “best friend” who allegedly leaked the video of Monica and Linda’s fight.
“There has been a ‘leaked’ private video filmed in my home between my mother and I,” wrote Monica. “I sent the video to my best friend. In confidence … I never once thought she would do this to me.”
In addition to leaking “screenshots, recordings, videos,” Tenesha allegedly has a “folder she has dedicated to me full of things she plans to release.”
“[She] has been contacting people in my life for months to try to destroy me,” Monica added. “This is a full blown takedown by one of my once closest friends that my girls and I considered family. Brace for impact because she has a 3 year friendship of information she has just [been] waiting to put out there on me.”
Monica called this her own “karma,” and she admitted that she “deserve[s] it.”
“Everything happening to me [is] exactly like what was done on Reality Von Tease,” she wrote, concluding her post. “I do want to apologize to my mother … [This video] was not meant to get out.”

Monica also leaked the alleged text exchange she had with Tenesha soon after sending her the video.
“[Linda] thinks she’s the star,” Tenesha allegedly responded at the time. “She’s gross — disgusting … She said it with so much hate in her eyes — She’s evil.”

Jen Shah reacted to Heather Gay’s accusation that she gave her a black eye, and she shared why Andy Cohen is still “butt hurt.” Meanwhile, alum Danna Bui-Negrete hinted at more “physical things” on the night of the injury, and she claimed that most castmates “knew that it came from Jen.”
The wound was a source of mystery on season three of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Many fans were outraged that Heather never identified the culprit. At the time, she claimed she couldn’t remember what happened – though the details of her story kept changing.
“If [I] punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it,” wrote Jen on her Instagram Stories on January 3, addressing Bravo directly. “It’s clear the show can’t live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle and end of season 4.”
“Andy is still butt hurt that I turned down his 1:1 interview,” she continued. “Why would you sit down with someone who ‘gave’ another cast member a black eye? Next story.”
On the night of the finale, Danna – who attended the trip when the injury occurred – popped up on Monica Garcia‘s Instagram Live and addressed it.
“To be honest we didn’t see it, but there was a lot of physical things happening that night,” said Danna, in a clip shared by @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “They were drunk. They were really rowdy. But I think most of us knew that it came from Jen.”
According to Danna, no one “wanted to say anything” because they didn’t see it with their own eyes.

This season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been pretty entertaining for most viewers.
In fact, many Bravo fans are saying it’s one of the network’s best shows. Of course, one of the pettiest pieces of drama has been between Monica Garcia and Lisa Barlow, with the latter having an expensive ring go missing. Now, Meredith is revealing what she thinks of the matter as well as Monica’s lawsuit with Heather Gay.
Regarding the ring in question, Lisa seemingly misplaced her $60,000 ring in a recent episode after going into a public restroom. However, newcomer Monica was later seen wearing a ring on her finger that looked just like it. This led to fans, not the cast, thinking that Monica took it.
Now, Meredith is giving her thoughts to US Weekly about the incident.
Meredith said that she had “no reason to believe” Monica took the ring. She continued, “I mean, she did have a ring that looks very similar on her hand, but she said it was from Amazon. I have no reason to believe it. I wasn’t in the bathroom. I have no context for that whatsoever.”
Meredith also discussed how none of the ladies of the show thought that Monica took the ring.
“I don’t think any of the women actually ever said that. I think there was some rumor that got started online. I don’t think anyone believes that either.”
Monica has also discussed the incident herself. She joked at BravoCon and said, “Rich people steal stuff too.”
Monica also talked to TV Line and said, “It’s not like it was just me that was in that bathroom. I wasn’t even in there when she dropped it. I did not take it.”
Meredith also discussed how she feels about Monica and Heather’s lawsuit. When asked if she was surprised by the legal issue, she said, “Yes and no.”
She continued, “There’s some stuff that you will learn that I knew about prior to hearing [about the lawsuits] which made it a little less shocking. But it’s still surprising.”
As fans will recall, the lawsuit involves Monica suing Heather’s Beauty Lab + Laser after receiving what the lawsuit calls, “defective, negligently given injections, which did not have the intended, promised result.” Monica’s countersuit comes after Heather’s company sued her for non-payment of services.
According to the suit, Monica only paid the initial payment but neglected to fork over the rest.

We’re bringing you some RHOSLC spoilers, news, and updates as Mary Cosby claps back at accusations she’s “mean,” calls Whitney Rose a liar, and shares what was edited out of their scene together.
Many Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans see Mary, 51, as mean, but she’s got her own take on it. Fans may recall that in September, we wrote that Mary called Whitney, 37, a “liar” and a “racist.” But there have been some developments since then.
Last season on the show, it seemed that Whitney was Mary’s top fan. They even attended church service together with Whitney’s father.
But on Tuesday’s episode of the RHOSLC on Bravo, Mary told Whitney to “grow up” and called her a “bobblehead.” Meanish? Perhaps. Justified? We’ll see.
In a confessional, Mary told the cameras, “You can’t just say anything about people that’s not true and think that it’s okay.” She then went deeper in adding a not-so-veiled threat, “Like, someone’s going to backhand you. Like, seriously, it might be me.”
Over on Twitter, Mary responded to curious and upset fans. One fan said, “Mary needs to be at BravoCon. If Taylor Armstrong is going to be there who was a friend as well as Kyle’s shadow, then why not Mary? A lot of people would want to see Mary. Do the right thing Bravo. #RHOSLC.”
Mary responded that she hadn’t been invited and that she was “good with that.”
Wasnt invited to Bravo Con🤷🏽♀️ one thing about it I’m Good!
— Mary Cosby (@Mary_M_Cosby) October 31, 2023
Mary told the fan that Whitney had apologized to her, and she had accepted but Bravo had not aired it. She added, “Whitney & i are good for now.”
I also Did accept her apology’! That same night! Just did not air it!!Whitney & i are good now..
— Mary Cosby (@Mary_M_Cosby) October 31, 2023
A critic went at Mary again, calling her a “mean, miserable person.” Of course, Mary clapped back, writing, “Im back bc i was ask to come back and i believe in giving people 2nd chances.. Thats why I’m back! If you don’t like it …Nobody is making you watch!”
Im back bc i was ask to come back and i believe in giving people 2nd chances.. Thats why I’m back! If you don’t like it …Nobody is making you watch!
— Mary Cosby (@Mary_M_Cosby) October 31, 2023
To another fan, Mary came straight out and called Whitney a liar, writing that she (Whitney) was lying about a text she sent her calling her “old as F ..” It was three years ago, she said, and it “was the truth.” She said Whitney also added things Mary didn’t say to the text, adding, “Shes a lair and i cant take her.. shes a fake!! Big time..”
Yes! Your absolutely Right! Shes lying about a text i sent her for calling me Old as F.. 3 years ago .. which was the truth!.. also added to that text things i did not say..Shes a lair and i cant take her.. shes a fake!! Big time..,
— Mary Cosby (@Mary_M_Cosby) October 31, 2023
Other fans chimed in in agreement. One wrote, “I’ve come to realize that if Whitney lips are moving she’s lying. I’m glad you see her for the miserable troublemaker that she is. She likes to cause discord within the group just for self gratification. Keep being the loving God fearing woman you are.”

Angie Katsanevas’ husband Shawn Trujillo addressed the cheating allegations, which, according to castmate Monica Garcia, were spread by Meredith Marks, and who he blames for it.
He also shared where he stands with Whitney Rose, who first addressed the situation on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and he revealed what it was like to tell his daughter about the rumors.
According to the unsubstantiated gay rumor, Shawn was cheating on Angie with multiple boyfriends in Salt Lake City. Both Shawn and Angie have denied this is the case.
Speaking on Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Shawn addressed why he was so emotional in the scene with his wife while they discussed the rumor.
“The emotion for me was, you know, the initial thing was anger, right? So somebody that has the, I guess, the wherewithal to make up a lie like that. So I was angry to start. And then it quickly flipped to my daughter. My thoughts started to move towards her,” he said. “The last thing that I’d ever want her to think is that I would do something like that to her mother. So for me, that’s where the emotion flipped. And anyone will be able to tell you that it’s hard for me to even mention her name without getting emotional.”
He then shared what it was like to tell his daughter about the situation.
“We were able to address it with her and it was a real organic conversation. I think you’ll see some of that,” he expressed. “[I asked myself] how long do I have to hold on to this information before I have to have a sit down with her and let her know what’s happening so she’s not caught off guard at school with friends or whatever. So that led to the emotion as well. We had an amazing conversation. She is so grounded and smart … She chuckled. She had a really good time with it. And you know, it was fun.”
When asked if they considered quitting the show after the cheating allegation, Shawn declared: “We never once thought of quitting the show … The one thing that we don’t do is let people win in that kind of way. You know, I will say that there are roller coaster moments where it’s like, oh my God, what have we done? … but yet nobody’s gonna beat us like that.”
He then addressed the idea that people can lie on the show. “People can continue to lie and that’s the unfortunate thing. Right? … And then when you’re in a more public platform, the hard part is anything can get legs … I do know that there’s probably going to be other stuff as we get down the road here. And that’s okay.”
Shawn claimed he and Angie aren’t upset with Whitney for bringing up the rumor on camera, but he suggested that Meredith and Monica were “both responsible in their own way. Meredith, as you’ve seen from seasons past, she’s always the one that’ll plant the seed and then she’s always got somebody that’ll run away with it and that’s similar to what happened here. And you know, I say shame on both of them.”
Shawn was also asked about the backlash against Meredith over the idea that she would out someone’s sexuality. After the episode aired, Meredith filmed a scene with her son Brooks, who recently opened up about breaking up with his boyfriend, and some fans claimed Meredith was using her son’s sexuality to defend herself against the backlash.
“My opinion is that there were some strategic conversations behind the scenes. And I believe that after that episode aired, there was a whole bunch of back-peddling happening. And you know, she’s a smart woman. And I think she took the opportunity to leverage her son and things like that, knowing that this didn’t land quite the way they wanted it to,” he said. “My thought is, you know, if I were a cheater and if that were a thing, say that. Don’t make it about sexuality. I think they tried to do that to, you know, push the knife in a little bit deeper and it didn’t land the way they wanted it to.”
Shawn hinted, however, that Meredith perhaps didn’t plant the seed: “Maybe Monica made it up. And then there was some conversations back and forth and you know, we’re still really unclear where it exactly came from.”
He eventually stated, “My perspective on this is that [Monica’s] using this as an opportunity to create storyline for herself … There’s not a lot of logical thinking that happens when she starts battling it out with people. So she’s willing to go as low as she absolutely can to hurt, destroy or defame anybody on the cast. Nobody’s exempt … And you know, she certainly doesn’t run around in the … the gay community that we participate in Salt Lake City. So, to me, it’s just a blatant lie to create story and just try to hurt somebody.”
Regarding Monica’s on-screen fights with her mother, Shawn expressed, “I would just never bring [my parents] on a national television to try to expose the situation in that kind of way. You know, for me, it’s just reckless, it’s messy … So for me, I questioned the character of this person.”
Shawn then doubled down on the claim that Meredith is no longer welcome in their home. “When somebody comes for our character, our money, our family … they don’t get a second chance with me,” he explained, “If Angie ever tried to convince me that she needs to have Meredith here for any particular reason, I will not be here for that. So I will not engage in any kind of a relationship with her moving forward.”
Reacting to Monica’s claim that she went to the ER after falling down Angie and Shawn’s basement stars – which allegedly weren’t up to code – Shawn stated, “I didn’t know that happened when we [had] that party … To me, it’s just another layer of the messiness and the weeds that she’s willing to get into to sort of create and perpetuate certain narratives that make her a victim … I don’t want anybody to get hurt in my house, but the way our house is designed, we can do whatever we want with it.”
He went on to say, “I’m sorry that she fell, but I can’t take responsibility for that. From what I understand from some of the people that kind of witnessed the thing, it was just like she slid down on her butt. So it’s like, I don’t know how legs and stuff like that got involved.”

Heather Gay recently shared a couple of updates on her three daughters, Ashley, Georgia, and Annabelle, who she shares with ex-husband Billy Gay, on Instagram.
After the Beauty Lab + Laser founder opened up about her relationships with her kids on a couple of episodes of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Heather, 49, took to social media to share what they’ve been up to since filming the fourth season of the Bravo reality show.
“Most teenagers would probably rather be caught dead than hang out with their parents,” Heather said in a confessional on the fifth episode of the current season, via Bravo. “But, as trite as it sounds, my daughters really are my best friends. We are a tight-knit group.”
Then, on the seventh episode of the season, Heather was seen FaceTiming her daughter, Ashley, the oldest of the bunch, and during the chat, they spoke of Lisa Barlow‘s son Jack’s decision to embark on a mission with the Mormon church, rather than start his college career.
Prior to the call, Ashley, who is enrolled at UC Santa Barbara, traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for spring break.
“It was so good,” Ashley said of the getaway. “Time of my life, I’m still on spring break mode.”
As she spoke of Ashley in another confessional on the second episode of RHOSLC, Heather couldn’t help but wonder what her life would have been like had she not grown up in the Mormon church.
“I was thinking and seeing the world in a much different way when I was her age,” she explained. “I’ve read my journal, and it’s humiliatingly embarrassing… In many ways, I feel like Ashley is the version of me if I hadn’t been raised in the church.”
As for what they’ve been up to since filming RHOSLC season four, Heather revealed daughter Ashley began her junior year at college in a September post on Instagram.
“School is back in session [at UC Santa Barbara],” she wrote with a slideshow of photos at the time. “Ashley is officially a junior in college. I couldn’t be prouder of her kind heart, incredible work ethic and fun sisterhood… Love you Ash! Happy first day of school.”
One month prior, offering an update on her youngest two children, Georgia and Annabelle, Heather posted a series of photos of the three of them with a male friend at a Taylor Swift concert in Los Angeles.
“Bigger than the whole sky,” she captioned the August pic.
RHOSLC season four airs Tuesday nights on Bravo at 9/8c.
