Jana Duggar Wissmann brought fans along for a sneak peek at her family’s 40-person beach vacation.
The Counting On alum, 35, shared a YouTube vlog on Friday, September 19, chronicling her trip with husband Stephen Wissmann to Florida “shortly after getting married” in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, in front of 500 guests in August 2024. Jana’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar made a rare appearance in the footage for a group photo with all of their grandchildren.
Jana and Stephen’s trip started off with some torrential rain, though the Duggars didn’t let a downpour stop them from taking a dip in the hot tub at their vacation home. When the weather eventually changed for the better, the Duggars headed off to the beach at sunset for a beautiful evening together.
“It’s just gorgeous,” Jana said of their beachside locale.

Elsewhere in the vlog, Jana revealed just how much food was necessary to feed a family of 40, in addition to taking part in group exercise classes.
“It’s way more fun to workout as a group,” Jana pointed out at one point in the vlog.
The footage later offered a hilarious look at the complexities of arranging family pictures in the rain while wrangling dozens of loved ones.
Trying to keep her spirits high, Jana joked: “The good thing about [shooting family pictures] on a rainy day is there is hardly anyone on the beach! … We’re still going through with the pictures before it pours.”

The 13-minute vlog concluded with a stirring clip of the entire family singing devotional songs during a worship service.
The family vacation vlog was released just over one month after Jana and Stephen confirmed that they are expecting their first baby. The couple announced their happy news with a black-and-white Instagram photo showing them kissing, with Jana’s baby bump visible.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family,” they wrote in a caption for the photo on August 18. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives.”
Stephen and Jana received warm congratulations from several members of the extended Duggar family, including her sister Jill Duggar replying: “So excited for y’all!”
“Can’t wait to meet this baby,” Jessa Duggar added, with Jana’s sister-in-law Hannah Duggar commenting: “So thrilled for y’all!!”
Jinger Duggar got emotional thinking about her newlywed sister Jana Duggar’s happily ever after with husband Stephen Wissmann. “I keep crying every time we talk about it,” Jinger, 30, told her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, during a video uploaded to their YouTube channel on Wednesday, September 4. “It was just so sweet to see how she […]
Jinger Duggar subsequently shared via Instagram that she is “so stoked” for Jana and Stephen to become parents. (Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, share three children: daughters Felicity and Evangeline, 7 and 4, respectively, and son, Finnegan Charles, 6 months.)
“Can’t wait to meet this precious little one and to be the fave auntie ha,” Jinger, 31, wrote to her sister on August 19.
Jana and Stephen subsequently revealed that they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on August 15 in very relatable fashion. They started their day off by shopping at their local TJ Maxx and stopping by the Engine House Cafe, before having a romantic steakhouse dinner and sharing some ice cream. Couples goals, for sure!
Are You My First? sparked several romantic connections between the virgin contestants — but which couples are still dating and who has broken up?
Hosted by Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe, Are You My First?, which premiered in August 2025, introduced a new dating experiment where virgins navigated love, lust and losing it. Viewers saw a group of hopeful contestants exploring connections, pairing up and even eliminating each other in what the show referred to as “virgin sacrifices.”
The season 1 finale ended in two couples solidifying their romance — but no swiping of V-cards.
“We really pushed them out of their comfort zones,” Kaitlyn said on the show before Colton joked, “We have done everything except guide it in at this point.”
Hulu’s Are You My First is all about virgins looking for love — but did any season 1 contestants sleep with each other on screen? The reality show, which premiered on Monday, August 18, was described as a new dating experiment “where virgins navigate love, lust and losing it.” “In this groundbreaking new dating experiment, […]
Kaitlyn then asked if they failed “because no one had sex” on the show. Colton replied by noting that they could still make that happen in a possible second season.
The hosts later stood by their approach, with Colton telling Us after the show premiered, “The goal of the show was never to get them laid, I remember joking about that on my Bachelor season like, ‘That is not the goal of the show.’ The goal is to connect with somebody, to experience these things. And people experienced their firsts on Are You My First? in different ways.”
He continued: “On a deeper level, I think some of the cast experienced the first self-love and self-acceptance, like, having that deeper understanding of their virginity was the goal of this. And I would like to think after a lot of them have lost their virginity, and they might have had those tools to do that from the experience.”

Michael and Rachael quickly formed a connection on season 1, but their journey was temporarily paused when he had to leave early due to a family emergency. When Michael returned, the pair immediately rekindled their romance.
During the finale, Rachael felt overwhelmed by the potential of a future with Michael but they ultimately left the show together. Rachael later revealed during a September 2025 interview on show host Kaitlyn’s “Off the Vine” podcast that she and Michael split nearly a week after leaving the tropical villa. Rachael has since “blocked” Michael’s phone number and has not been in touch.
Layne and Brooklyn
Disney/Jeff Daly
Brooklyn explored her chemistry with a few of the contestants before Layne arrived and caught her eye. During the finale, Layne got down on one knee and asked Brooklyn to be his girlfriend. with a promise ring. However, they went their separate ways when the show ended.
“The first time we saw each other in real life, he broke up with me,” Brooklyn claimed in a September 2025 TikTok video. “I was, obviously, completely shocked. … He said something along the lines of, ‘[I’m] trying to see if he ever felt a spark for me.’”
Jake and Sara
Disney/Jeff Daly
Viewers watched Jake and Sara navigate ups and downs throughout season 1 while testing out their chemistry. From awkward kisses to unclear boundaries, Sara wasn’t sure how long her relationship with Jake would last. Brooks Nader is single and ready to mingle with a new man — or woman. “Maybe it’s Mr., maybe it’s Mrs., I don’t even know. Who knows?” Nader, 28, shared with Entertainment Tonight in an interview published Friday, May 16. “My sister keeps telling me I gotta switch teams. She’s over me with the guys.” […]
Nader’s sister Grace Ann chimed in from the studio audience, “Especially not to her other boyfriend.”
Host Andy Cohen then asked Nader if there was any truth to the rumors that she dated Spanish star Alcaraz, 22, and Italy’s Sinner, 24.

“Dating is such a loose term these days,” Nader responded.
“It’s just… I don’t know. By the way, my only thing is: guys do it all the time, so why can’t I do it?” she added, prompting a standing ovation from Cohen and fellow guest Mark Ronson, as well as cheers from the audience.
Stars have no shortage of stylish swimsuits. This year, Hollywood’s favorites, including Gisele Bundchen, Simone Biles, Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Brittany Mahomes, Hailey Bieber and more have shown off their bikini style in super sexy looks. “The rumors are true,” Grace Ann, 25, said in a September 10 interview. “Dating is such a loose term, but I do know he’s the man of the hour.”
Grace Ann said she was “dying” to meet Alcaraz, adding: “[He’s] such a cutie.”
Nader has been linked to both Alcaraz and Sinner in recent weeks after she was seen at the US Open in New York City last month.
“Is this, like, an interrogation? I’m so scared right now,” Nader responded on the September 2 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live when asked about her attendance at the US Open. “Well, ask Stephen [Colbert] what match we were at. I don’t think [Jannik] was playing in that one.”
Nader was spotted alongside The Late Show host Colbert and his wife, Evie, during Alcaraz’s August 31 match against French tennis pro Arthur Rinderknech.
“[I’m] loving it,” Nader said of being single in an exclusive Us Weekly cover interview in August. “I’ve never gotten to do this my whole life, so I love it.”

“Most of [the trip] was kind of like a pile-on to bash Lisa, to be totally honest. It was not really positive for her,” Meredith, 53, exclusively shared with Us Weekly when celebrating her RÜMORS & NASTINESS game, available for preorder now. “I felt pretty bad because she wasn’t there, and there was a lot of conversation about things that I didn’t know all that much about. I was only able to speak to the parts that I knew, and it was not that easy to defend her, because we were talking about things that she should have been there to talk about herself.”
On the Tuesday, September 16, episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas hosted a girls’ camping trip that kicked off with an RV ride.
Lisa, 50, was noticeably missing for the overnight getaway, which also included Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Britani Bateman and Bronwyn Newport.
“I definitely did defend Lisa, and for me, it was really, really difficult, because it’s kind of like people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones,” Meredith explained to Us when looking back on the season premiere. “I do not have legal issues going on, but a lot of the people on the cast do, and we kind of give a lot of space to that, and they didn’t give that to Lisa. They didn’t give her the ability to answer it for herself.”
She continued, “They threw it out there into the universe to sit and stew for however long until she can answer for herself. And I don’t think anyone else was shown that disrespect with their legal issues. In fact, there are several that are outstanding that have not been discussed yet. Perhaps it’s time.”
Koury Angelo/Bravo (2)
When The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City launched in 2020, Lisa and Meredith were best friends. While the duo’s friendship has faced some highs and lows as the show has progressed, they are in a good spot as season 6 kicks off this month on Bravo.
From Meredith’s perspective, some of her costars tried to create a wedge in her friendship with Lisa.
“What really was a turning point for both of us was the realization that there was a lot of gas being poured on the fire that we’re seen as too strong together,” Meredith shared. “A lot of the women wanted to break that down, and were determined to break it down, and there were several attempts over the course of this past season to break it down. The problem is we’re on to you. Your tricks don’t work anymore.”
As a new season begins, Meredith is having some fun with all the rumors and nastiness that she faces.

Meredith’s newest business venture — TOGG, or The Original Game Girls — is launching RÜMORS & NASTINESS, described as a bluff-and-gossip game built for the reality TV era.
“We all know there’s a lot of rumors and nastiness and obviously, the name ties back into the way you play — Is it a rumor or a nasty truth?” Meredith shared when teasing the game. “I just think it’s fun and it’s light. … We were looking for something to play off of rumors and nastiness. It’s just a really fun game.”
RÜMORS & NASTINESS is available for preorders online now. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Stream old episodes on Peacock.
After Mark Ballas and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt hit the dance floor during the season 34 premiere on Tuesday, September 16, the pair received positive feedback from judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. (Fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba announced before the broadcast began that she was sitting out from the premiere due to illness.)
Both Hough, 40, and Tonioli, 69, held up panels with sevens on them when giving their scores, seemingly indicating that the pair earned a 14 out of 20. However, cohost Julianne Hough later revealed from the sky box that there was a mistake.
“Bruno actually put in an eight, so we have to correct it. It’s a 15,” she told Ballas, 39, and Leavitt, 32. “We love live television!”
After the commercial break, Ribeiro, 53, gave a more detailed breakdown of how dances are scored. “Just to clarify something, our judges key in their scores right after the dance and then they are locked regardless of which paddle they hold up. We go with their locked score. So Bruno keyed in an 8, so Whitney’s total was 15.”
Earlier in the night, Derek gave a warning about the scores that would be shown. “The scoring tonight, just be mindful, it might be a little lower than you’re expecting because there’s a long way to go,” he explained after Jordan Chiles and pro Ezra Sosa opened the show. “This is a marathon. We want to give you guys room to grow.”
The Olympian received a total score of 10 out of 20, as did Dylan Efron and pro Daniella Karagach. Ribeiro hinted that the studio audience wasn’t too pleased with seeing the lower scores.
Pros and celebs have been candid through the years about the judges’ feedback. In 2022, Sasha Farber told Us Weekly he thought Derek was “the most intimidating” of all the judges.
“You never know what he’s thinking. He’s always got this stone cold look and then [his score] could be, like, really bad. [Or] then he’s like, ‘That was great,’” he said in an exclusive interview at the time, joking, “It’s just his face.”
Two years later, pro Gleb Savchenko compared Derek to the late Len Goodman — but Derek wasn’t so sure.
“I wish I was as good as Len,” Derek exclusively told Us in 2024. “[He’s] absolutely irreplaceable. … His phrases and his ‘Lenisms’ were just iconic.”

Derek explained at the time that he likes to pay attention to the little details, adding, “It’s always hard, especially in these first couple of weeks, because there’s so little time to say something. I feel like I’m rushing it trying to get it in.”

Every insane season of reality television must come to an end, and Below Deck’s season-12finale could not have been more season 12 if it tried. This week, we get a little of everything that has defined the chaos of the past six weeks: Solène and Rainbeau fighting; everyone kissing everybody; feelings getting hurt; Anthony freaking out and then apologizing. Of course, we couldn’t say good-bye to Sint Maarten without crossing the bridge at port one last time. “The deck team this season is the best deck team I’ve had,” Kerry says, with a smile on his face. He is simply “tickled pink.”
It’s true that the deck team pulled it together, especially after Kerry fired Caio, the season’s first bosun and my melancholy compatriot. Hugo kept his cool as his crew became increasingly ensnared in Solène’s machinations and managed to keep a respectable distance from the interpersonal drama of the boat. At times, this approach rippled through the interior department, as was the case with the Solène-embargo fiasco. But mostly it served him well: The deck crew worked steadily. Save from isolated slip-ups, all addressed by and mended with the captain, there were no big issues.
You couldn’t say the same for the interior team. They were doomed from day one. Rainbeau fought to maintain her dignity and sanity on late-night shifts with Solène throughout the entire season. It seems never to have occurred to Fraser to switch Solène and Bárbara’s shifts, or to rotate the stews in general. I have never stepped foot on a yacht, and Fraser surely knows better than me how to run a team, but it gives a person vertigo to watch the same fight time and again.
On the last night shift of the charter, after pouring herself a glass of wine for her hard work, Solène announces to Rainbeau that she “decided [they’re] not going to fight.” Upstairs on the sun deck, Damo flirts with the guests and works for his tip. He suggests that they bring out the “shot deluge” for the ladies. The shot deluge is a curved dispenser with a spout with which to deposit alcohol straight into a guest’s mouth. One of the women asks Solène to do a shot with her, and Solène complies. Damo doesn’t say anything about how the crew is not supposed to drink with the guests. In fact, he pours the shot.
You can almost see smoke coming out of Rainbeau’s ears when she walks into this frat-party tableau. Things only get worse when, after the guests go to bed, a tipsy Solène does cheerleading stunts with Damo by the Jacuzzi instead of working. Rainbeau asks her to focus so that they all can go to bed; Damo, in la-la land, chases Solène. No one mentions Kyle at all, though not hours before, Solène cuddled him in his cabin and kissed him goodnight. When Damo wraps up, he asks Rainbeau if he can help her with anything. She’s already done and waiting for Solène to clear out her tasks before going to bed; the camera cuts to Solène doing handstands in the main salon. “She’s not a yachtie,” Damo says to Rainbeau about Solène. “She’s a socialite.” Damo is not, like Kyle or Jess before him, fooled by Solène’s attentions: He knows that she wants notoriety, and her actions have nothing to do with affection or yachting. This clarity allows him to detach from her in such a way that his involvement with her becomes inconsequential, spur of the moment. It’s admirable and frustrating at the same time. He knows he shouldn’t enable her, yet he washes his hands of responsibility when he acts like none of it is his business.
After Damo goes to bed, Solène tells herself: “I’ll do what I have to do — it’s three o’clock, almost.” But then she finds a half-drunk glass of wine by the Jacuzzi and gets distracted. She brings the glass of wine to the main salon, then promptly tries to hide it when she sees Rainbeau is there. At first there are tears of frustration in Rainbeau’s eyes when she reminds Solène that they are not supposed to drink. She pleads: “The only reason I am still awake is that you’re taking so long to finish.” Then, unbelievably, Solène laughs in Rainbeau’s face. It’s so crass that it’s hard to watch. Rainbeau goes red from head to toe as she says that Solène is the worst, most selfish person to work with and that she is thankful they never have to work together again. Solène tries to follow her around, saying she doesn’t have to get so worked up, but Rainbeau is done. She texts Fraser everything that happened, including the drinking, while Solène clocks out at 4 a.m. It’s unclear whether or not she finished her tasks.
When he wakes up and sees the texts, Fraser shrugs his shoulders: “What am I supposed to do?” It’s the last day of the season, the final drop-off day. He tells Rainbeau that he is sorry she had a rough night and leaves it at that. I think there was an opportunity for Fraser to sit them down and clear the air, as well as validate Rainbeau’s frustration. It’s one of the boat’s top rules that you are not supposed to drink on charter, and Solène broke it with zero consequence. Besides, left to their own devices, Rainbeau and Solène can’t make amends. Before they leave, Solène remembers something her mother said: that the way you treat people is more important than how well you do your job (I can’t even begin to unpack the levels of irony in such a statement coming out of Solène’s mouth). Solène apologizes and expects Rainbeau to apologize, too, but when she doesn’t — she doesn’t have anything to apologize for — Solène takes it back and says she’s not sorry anymore. An evaluation performance for Solène would be a waste of time, since there’s no way she’ll pursue non-Bravo yachting, but it seems unfair that she got away with … all of it. If nothing else, it isn’t good for the boat’s reputation. There may be a number of prospective stews watching and thinking they can get away with murder as long as they kiss every mouth onboard.
Before all that happened, though, there was the eight-course dinner, which went totally fine as predicted. Anthony was feeling okay again by the time he introduced the first course. He flambéd a number of things, from steak au poivre to baked Alaska. His most mind-boggling concoction was a “spicy cucumber-bell-pepper cappuccino,” the taste and texture of which I had a really hard time imagining. When the after-dinner fireworks were set off, it felt, as Fraser had planned, like a celebration of the whole season. The guests were delighted by the surprise fireworks show. Throughout the sequence, slightly ominous music played, which made me wonder if the boat was going to catch on fire.
The captain was so happy with Anthony’s performance that he stopped by the galley to shake his hand. Anthony got emotional and said, “This one is for you, Daddy,” which I thought was really sweet. That is a guy with very intense emotions. By the end of the charter, his relationship with Fraser is totally repaired. It seems like forever ago now, but Anthony returned to the St. David with a personal vendetta against Fraser, and their friendship only ended up stronger. We know now to take Anthony’s outbursts of frustration with a grain of salt. In a double confessional, he tells Fraser: “Without you, I would never be at this level.” Fraser encourages him to have more confidence. They hug and kiss and say how much they love each other three more times before the end of the episode.
Not everyone’s bond is similarly strengthened. While the last guests were still onboard, Jess and Bárbara made loose plans for the off-season: Jess would come to New York to visit in August, once Bárbara was off, so they could spend quality time together. But as much as Bárbara likes Jess, the prospect of a long-distance relationship worries her, and she’s not confident their romance can survive it. Over drinks before dinner, she tells Jess she wants to prioritize her career — it’s the first time she has enough money to save up for her future. Besides, she has too many trust issues to date long-distance. Jess is compassionate and understanding. They end their fling like true caring adults.
At the last tip meeting, Kerry congratulates his crew on a job well done. They get a big, fat tip: $28,000, which comes out to $2,153 each for the charter and $15,037 each for the season. Would you put up with Solène’s antics for 15 grand? I feel like I could do it. The captain takes them on a hike to a fort at St. Louie, where Solène flashes the camera for a group photo. No one even bats an eye. Kerry laughs. If that’s not enough to make you feel like you’re going crazy, watch Solène’s behavior toward Kyle and Damo for the rest of the night. It goes like this: First, she kisses Kyle on the way back to the boat. Then, at dinner, Kyle says that he would like to see her again and asks what she would like. She says she doesn’t know; in two days, she might want someone else. They hold hands.
At the club, everyone besides Hugo and Anthony kisses one another in various combinations. Even Fraser makes out with Rainbeau and Damo. Solène tells Kyle that they should feel free to kiss whoever they want, but they’ll sleep together that night. He says he doesn’t want to kiss anyone else, but she makes out with Damo. At least she warned him? “I’m not a good person,” Damo says in a confessional. “Everything I do is motivated by myself.” I don’t like this sleazy, half-baked “honesty.” Damo is not a bad person; he is just being a jerk. In the vans going back to the boat, Anthony asks Solène, who is sitting next to Kyle, “Why do you do this to him? You’re not married, but it’s not fair.”
Back on the St. David, Solène asks Kyle if he’s mad at her, then makes out with Damo some more. Before we see an uncomfortably close shot of her sticking her tongue down his throat, she wonders if they are being “fair to Scottish,” which is crazy since she did not consider the same question when kissing Damo right in front of his face at the club. Meanwhile, Kyle sends her texts to the tune of, “You just played me so bad, it’s horrible.” Wrapping up with Damo, she asks Kyle to meet her in a guest cabin to spend the night together. It’s far from me to slut-shame anyone. I think women having sex with as many men as they want is good for society. But this ping-ponging gives me whiplash, and besides, it doesn’t reflect well on anyone. Kyle is so deeply entrenched in this mess that this is how he describes his inability to stay away from Solène: “If somebody dropped a sack of ten grand in front of you and it was covered in cow shit, would you pass it up?” That is a messed-up way to describe an experience with a woman. And I can’t even get that worked up about it because Solène didn’t treat Kyle as anything more than a sack of money covered in dung, either.
The next morning, in the galley with Bárbara, Fraser draws a diagram of the boatmance dynamics, coming to the conclusion that all lines lead to Solène. Rainbeau cries saying good-bye to Fraser — she’s the MVP of the season. She stood her ground, killed at her job, and didn’t lose her head. Jess and Bárbara say bye to each other, and Jess skateboards away. Before he leaves, Kerry tells Kyle to focus on his potential rather than his partying; we can only hope he’ll take the advice to heart. He and Damo leave together, buddies after all, with nothing to say sorry for. Anthony and Hugo both leave happy with themselves and in outfits that make them look like they’re in 2003. Fraser gets emotional as he says good-bye to Kerry and reflects on a hard, but ultimately rewarding, season. His one goal was to keep his interior team intact from start to finish, and he did, whether or not it was the wisest choice. Kerry signs the logbook, and we’re officially off. It was fun watching this unhinged season with you all — thanks for keeping me real. Until next time!
Below Deck‘s Solène Favreau ended the charter season by exploring a connection with Damo Yorg and sleeping with Kyle Stillie before her Love Island return.
During the season finale, which aired on Monday, September 15, Solène kept flirting with Kyle, but on their last night out, she got closer to Damo. Solène and Damo made out, which upset Kyle enough that he went to his cabin. But the moment didn’t last long because moments later Solène was texting Kyle to meet her in a guest cabin — where they ultimately had sex.
Solène and Kyle parted ways after having a rocky season. They initially formed a connection and even went on a date where Solène revealed she was still getting over an ex — and Below Deck alum — Dylan Pierre De Villiers.
“We broke up because he was in another country, so [there was] distance. Even after, I still love him and I was very sad,” she told cameras in a June episode. “So now that is why I try to keep everything at no risk. Since Dylan, I’ve never been in love again. I am young, free and I’m not looking for a relationship.”
Solène said there were “two times” she was in love. “It is the best and the worst. That’s why it is love,” she added. “My first love experience was when I was 22 years old. He left me four times in two years. All that time I was falling in love deeper and deeper. All that time was getting worse and worse.”
The stew shared that her parents had to step in after the breakup.
Fred Jagueneau/Bravo
“My dad took me to the emergency room because I was so sad that I stopped eating,” she noted. “I couldn’t eat. I would prefer that someone broke my finger than break my heart.”
Later in the season, Solène moved on to exploring her chemistry with Jess Theron despite the deckhand’s possible romance with Barbara Kulaif. Solène and Jess got close but it fizzled out — at least while cameras were still rolling.
The cast of Below Deck and its spinoff series will do just about anything for love … or at least to have a fun crew hookup. After seven seasons of the Bravo series — with more than 100 episodes — there have been plenty of romances to watch unfold. Add in the Below Deck Mediterranean flings and Below Deck Sailing […]
“I went to Jess’ hotel room, because we were supposedly together, and we had a fight because, in my mind, they still had a thing. I wasn’t wrong, by the way,” Barbara shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier this month about how they were still at a hotel on Sint Maarten after disembarking St. David. “Jess just opened the door and she left with Solène — and Solène was naked.”

Barbara elaborated on her current friendship with Solène, adding, “I think nobody’s surprised. We keep in touch. I think she really thinks we are still good friends — and maybe we are good friends — but friends I would never bring home to parents. … [Jess and Solène] both need to grow up together.”
Solène’s reality TV journey isn’t over yet following that dramatic season of Below Deck. She’s set to star in season 2 of Love Island Games following her past appearance on Love Island France.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Boy meets girl, girl seeks adventure in Paris, then girl’s complicated feelings for said boy ultimately taint her ability to actually enjoy the city of love. That scenario factors into the plot of both The Summer I Turned Pretty’s final season and the newly released Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris—although this time, our heroines, played by Lola Tung and Miranda Cosgrove respectively, make it to Paris—and get to stay, at least for a while.
On The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly defers her acceptance to study abroad in Paris for premature marriage with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). She then comes to her senses, calling off the wedding and moving overseas, where she fights through homesickness and language barriers to build a nice little life for herself. Of course, that independence will soon be interrupted by Belly’s ex Conrad (Christopher Briney), seen buying a plane ticket to Paris in the show’s penultimate episode. But at least she was given the opportunity to test out both versions of her future before making a choice.
That’s also true of The Wrong Paris, a silly rom-com about a Bachelor-esque reality dating show that contestants are led to believe will be filmed in Paris, France, only to learn it’s actually Paris, Texas—population 25,000. Our heroine, Cosgrove’s Dawn, takes the twist in stride, vowing to compete on the show—not for love, but some prize money to fund studying at a Paris art school. “I don’t hate this,” she says of her hometown, “I just hate that this is the only thing I’ve ever known.” Then a cowboy named Trey (Pierson Fode—also, has anyone ever actually met a cowboy named Trey?) and his comically sculpted abs waltz in. “You ain’t gonna find no man like me in Paris,” he drawls, to which she replies: “Yeah, that’s the point.” Surprise, surprise, Dawn and Trey do fall in love and later strike a bicontinental compromise—she’ll finish school, then presumably come back to Texas.
Hepburn and Astaire, near 30 years in age between them, leave Paris as husband-and-wife in Funny Face.LMPC/Getty Images
Paris has long been a place for lovers onscreen. Casablanca (1942) famously ends with Humphrey Bogart’s Rick telling Ingrid Bergman’s Ilsa that they’ll always have their time in Paris, even if they can’t end up together. The European city has gotten in the way of a whole lot of love affairs ever since. Perhaps no one was more familiar with this than poor Audrey Hepburn, who starred in six films set in the City of Light throughout the 1950s and ’60s, most of which end with the idea that her lovelorn character would presumably rather return to the United States with a man twice her age than walk along the Seine solo. (Case in point: Hepburn choosing Bogart in 1954’s Sabrina—a frequent reference on TheSummer I Turned Pretty, and then Fred Astaire in 1957’s Funny Face—which has been repeatedly mentioned on Netflix’s Emily in Paris.)
Somewhere along the way, Paris became the go-to plot device standing in between a single woman and her love interest. The city represented female independence and agency—a culturally rich alternative to the happily ever after established in fairy tales.
On ’90s to early aughts TV, Paris became a surefire tactic for injecting drama into long-running “will they or won’t they?” couples. Shannen Doherty’s Brenda flees her dramatic on-again-off-again dynamic with Luke Perry’s Dylan on Beverly Hills, 90210 for a summer study-abroad program. Sarah Jessica Parker’s beret-clad Carrie Bradshaw now famously hurls a McDonald’s “le Big Mac” upon learning that “Big is moving to Paris,” in Sex and the City season two. Then her own Parisian journey with Frenchman Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov) is cut short in the series finale once Big (Chris Noth) shows up to bring her back home. On another hotly anticipated final episode, Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Green considers moving overseas with her toddler-aged daughter for a fresh start working at Louis Vuitton after years of across-the-hall pining for David Schwimmer’s Ross. But these flights of fancy don’t last long—a brief layover on the way to domesticated bliss right back where they started.
“So excited for this! Rooting for you @taylorfrankiepaul ❤️,” season 15 Bachelorette Hannah Brown wrote in the comments section of Taylor’s Instagram video sharing the news.
Shortly before Taylor, 31, was announced as the season 22 Bachelorette on Wednesday, September 10, she spoke to Us Weekly about what fans can expect from her season — and whether an engagement is on the table.
“Definitely, that’s the goal here,” she told Us. “And as my mom likes to say, I do fall in love quickly, and that’s also the reason I did it. I always call myself a lover girl because I, like, fall for people and I have done that in the past.”
She continued, “Obviously, I got married young, and the first guy I dated was my second baby daddy — so it was just very quick, and this time, it’s going to be really cool, because, yes, I have been opening up to dating, but now I’m about to date, you know, 20 [or] 30 guys, and I’ve never done that before. I’m going to take my time, I’m going to kind of, like, get to know people. Maybe I learned things I didn’t like or do like that I didn’t even know. So I think this is gonna be really good for the long-term effect.”

I think this is fantastic,” Rachel said via Instagram, adding that she’s “always” said the format of Bachelor Nation is “dead” — so she’s excited about the change. “I think that this is a risky lead but I honestly think this is worth it at the end of the day.”
Alexis wrote in the comments section, “Amen !!!”
Nick Viall and Dale Moss
In an Instagram video, Nick shared a clip from his “Viall Files” podcast pitching Taylor as the next Bachelorette months before the news was announced.

Elyse Dehlbom
Elyse, who appeared on season 23 of The Bachelorette, shared some criticism via Instagram Story, noting she was “so frustrated” ABC decided to cast someone who “has had a previous instance of intimate partner abuse.”
“What makes me frustrated as someone who experienced an abusive relationship, is that on a DATING show, [watched] by millions, the choice was made to elevate someone who has previously been physically abusive to a ROMANTIC partner,” she wrote, noting that she hoped each contestant on Taylor’s season is “fully informed of this incident.”
Taylor, for her part, addressed the incident (which was documented on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives) while appearing on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on Wednesday. She stated that charges against her were “dropped.” She added, “I never had hurt my daughter. I never intentionally did anything with my children.”
That leads us to the shrewd bit of cross-pollination happening for ABC and Hulu, owned by the same parent company in Disney. After testing the waters with a Mormon Wives crossover on Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa earlier this year, then casting not one, but two cast members for Dancing With the Stars, the burgeoning reality television universe will triple dip by casting Paul as Bachelorette. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season three returns on November 13 and The Bachelorette is slated for a 2026 debut. This shores up the streaming-first Mormon Wives audience, helping to lure key viewership demographics back to the brand’s broadcast offerings. And that transfer can’t come soon enough: The premiere episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 10 earned roughly 3.2 million fewer viewers than season two of Mormon Wives, both of which aired this year.
Those in the know have long been calling for the outsourcing of leads. “They should take any single guy from Love Island season seven—he’s the next Bachelor,” Chad Kultgen, cohost of popular Bachelor podcast Game of Roses and coauthor of How to Win the Bachelor, told Vanity Fair earlier this year. “They have done the work for you, made these people superstars in the reality dating TV format. That’s how they should be thinking.”
The powers that be, including newly instated showrunner Scott Teti, former executive producer of Bravo’s Summer House, appear to have been listening. Before Taylor was announced as the next Bachelorette, fans originally believed the news would reveal the lead of The Bachelor’s landmark 30th season due to scheduling. Previously, The Bachelorette aired in the spring or summer, followed by Paradise, then The Bachelor in January. The franchise last cast a lead from outside of its pool of Instagrammable suitors for season 25 in Matt James, who became the first-ever Black Bachelor. Although, he was best known on social media as a close friend of The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron.
Even the manner in which Taylor was announced feels fresh. This is the first time a lead hasn’t been announced on an ABC-affiliated platform like Good Morning America or an After the Final Rose special. Cooper as conduit for such news feels like acknowledgment that a young female audience tunes into her podcast—and that the podcasting realm itself is key to sustaining The Bachelor’s relevance. Further proof: Former Bachelor Nick Viall, host of the popular Viall Files podcast, hosted the season two Mormon Wives reunion. And the last Paradise reunion was not filmed on an ABC soundstage, but recorded for the official Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.
There will be inevitable growing pains with such a shake-up—the ABC audience has previously been less forgiving of unapologetic women—and Paul has already said that she’ll require any husband of hers to relocate to Utah. (Hope he has his Swig order down!) But this only further stokes the intrigue that comes with casting Paul—who is well-versed in making must-see TV. “The more open you are, the more backlash you can get,” she told VF in May, “but also the more relatable you are.”
Nikki Glaser was “immediately eliminated” when she initially appeared on Dancing With the Stars — but she’s pitching a unique way to make a comeback.
“[Getting voted off] was one of the most humiliating experiences of my professional career, but it was so fun. I love the show so much,” Glaser, 41, shared during the Tuesday, September 9, episode of Jenna & Friends. “I’m dying to go back on the show. Please do a losers season, but you gotta do it soon because my hips are hurting.”
Glaser was the first contestant eliminated alongside pro Gleb Savchenko during season 27 in 2018. (The mirrorball ultimately went to radio personality Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess).
On Tuesday, the comedian noted that since her exit, the cast has gotten better year after year, “It’s kind of always a grab bag of Cameo’s $50 celebrities, but this time, these are some people you really want to see dance,” she joked of the upcoming season 34.
Glaser added that she was particularly excited to watch Savchenko dance alongside Hilaria Baldwin. “I feel like he might win it this time,” she continued, adding that her former partner “is so hot. Gleb Savchenko is as hot as his name is disgusting. That’s how hot that guy is.”
The season 34 pairings were announced earlier this month. Other notable match-ups include Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, among many more.
Glaser’s comments on Tuesday weren’t the first time she’s thrown out the idea of a “losers” season for DWTS. After getting eliminated in 2018, she joked to On the Red Carpet that she was the “first announced cast member” for the new season she “just made up.”

Glaser suggested that the losers season would involve a partner swap from their original pairings in hopes of sparking a well-intentioned “rivalry” among the returning celebrities.
“It’s going to be very interesting, a very dramatic season,” she joked at the time.

Glaser clearly enjoys being on the ballroom floor. Despite being knocked out in round one, she returned for the season 27 finale to dance alongside Bones, 45, and Burgess, 40, for the freestyle number, which received a perfect score. After the duo secured their win, Glaser took to social media to send her congratulations.
UPDATE — 9/4/25, 03:30 a.m. ET: Sasha Farber addressed his absence from the Dancing With the Stars season 34 cast in an Instagram Story video on Wednesday, September 3. “It is a beautiful day today,” Farber, 41, said in the video. “Guys, the Dancing With the Stars cast announcement was today. Wow, so many good […]
“Huge congrats to @mrBobbyBones and @SharnaBurgess on their @DancingABC win tonight. I was honored that they asked me to be in their last dance, which no one forced them to do,” Glaser wrote via X. “I am not a good dancer and they didn’t care. That’s what makes them great.”
Dancing With the Stars season 34 premieres on ABC and streams live on Disney+ Tuesday, September 26, at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes are available to stream on Hulu next day.
Cooper, 31, posted a cryptic video on the podcast’s Instagram page late Monday, September 8, of her cutting into a cake reading “Season 30” in blue icing. As she cut a slice of the cake and held it up to the camera, the podcaster noted that the inside had pink filling. “Wait, why is it pink?” she dramatically said.
“Change of plans 🌹,” Cooper captioned the post, using a rose emoji. Of course, red roses are a huge motif on The Bachelor, which, yes, is set to return for a 30th season next year.
While fans and Bachelor viewers speculated over the meaning of the video, Cooper confirmed in the comments, “Guys, I’m not pregnant.”
There’s never a dull moment in Bachelor Nation. As franchise host Jesse Palmer geared up for the return of Bachelor in Paradise (with the help of bartender Wells Adams and “Paradise Relations” Hannah Brown), Us Weekly asked Jesse about the upcoming Golden Bachelor star Mel Owens after he made waves for comments about “cutting” women […]
Some people wondered whether Cooper is gearing up to announce herself as the next host of The Bachelor, or whether she might be dropping the name of the next Bachelor on her podcast.
“Are you hosting the bachelor?!” asked one commenter. Another wrote, “Wait guys the caption. It’s def The Bachelor. Are you the host for this season?!”
Former Bachelor Jesse Palmer has served as host of The Bachelor and its various spinoffs since season 26, taking over from Chris Harrison.
Following the success of The Bachelor season 29, which concluded with Grant Ellis proposing to Juliana Pasquarosa, earlier this year, ABC renewed the long-running reality show for a 30th season in June.

Deadline broke the news in late June that Scott Teti, executive producer and showrunner of Bachelor in Paradise season 10, would take over as executive producer and showrunner of the next season.
“This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly. Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship,” Grant, 31, wrote in an Instagram Story. “We both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we’ve come to the understanding that we’re simply not the right fit long term.”
“There’s no negativity here, no resentment [and] just two people who care about each other and want the best for one another moving forward,” he added. “I’ll always be grateful for what we shared and for the growth that came with it. Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in our journey. This chapter is closing, but we’re both walking away with love and respect in our hearts.”
Below Deck‘s Captain Kerry Titheradge poked fun at the prospect of taking off his shirt.
During the Monday, September 8, episode of the hit Bravo series, the last guests of the charter season asked deckhands Kyle Stillie and Damo Yorg to “be shirtless” before taking them on a ride in the water.
“Well we are here to please, right?” he said before elaborating in a confessional. “I am loving their energy. They are flirty and fun but I don’t see them crossing the line.”
Kerry added: “If I didn’t have a dad bod, my shirt would be off too.”
Season 12, which premiered in June 2025, offered some rare insight into Captain Kerry and his personal life. A June episode mentioned his girlfriend, Ghönül Bihan, when he discussed how they originally met.
“My girlfriend, they get one day off a week [on their boat],” he told stew Barbara Kulaif. “She worked for me when I was married. A few years later, I said, ‘How about we go out for dinner?’”
Captain Kerry joined Below Deck in season 11 after previously starring on the short-lived Below Deck Adventure spinoff. He took over for Captain Lee Rosbach, who was on Below Deck since it originally premiered in 2013.
“That came right out of left field. I did not see that one coming at all,” Lee exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2023. “[I was told], ‘We would like to move in a new direction.’ But I mean, that’s kind of a cliché that everybody uses when they find themselves in that situation where they’re going to let somebody go. ‘I’m going to move in a new direction. We want to freshen it up a little.’ [They are] tired clichés that get overused.”
Over the years, Below Deck fans have become familiar with many captains — and some made more memorable impressions than others. Below Deck, which premiered in 2013, explored the glamorous world of yachting and the not as beautiful behind-the-scenes situations that the crew must handle. The first season introduced viewers to Captain Lee Rosbach and […]
Kerry, meanwhile, was thankful for all the Below Deck captains for welcoming him into the franchise.
“Everybody [reached out]. On the way down to Grenada, I was chatting with Lee in the car. He was talking about the boat. He talked about Fraser [Olender] and Ben [Willoughby],” he explained to Us in May 2024. “[Captain] Jason [Chambers] reached out. [Captain] Glenn [Shephard] reached out. We pick on each other a lot, so he calls me his stunt double. It’s a big family. We genuinely are. It’s great.”
“I know I have big shoes to fill — but I like it that way,” Kerry said during a 2024 episode of the show. “We all have good days full of rainbows and unicorns and then we have some bad days. I expect perfection. You work hard, you will be rewarded. You f*** around, and I will f***ing turn in a heartbeat.”
Below Deck airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
“Typically, once we have a list of the pros that are gonna be on, we then, at some point, we’ll get the opportunity to hear who’s gonna be [on the show],” host Alfonso Ribeiroexclusively told Us Weekly in September 2025. “But it’s never final, right? It’s ever-changing, and there were some pairings that were different three weeks ago [this year].”
According to Ribeiro, casting continues “to evolve” as new contestants sign on and show producers match them up with their roster of pro dancers.
“You realize, ‘Oh, actually, this is a better pairing than that pairing.’ And they work on it right up until the final day until [the stars and pros] meet each other,” Ribeiro said, noting the show executives Deena Katz, Conrad Green and Rob Mills “always get it right” with partnerships. “They figure it out. I don’t know how they do it, but they always figure out how to put the right people together. They’re magical.”
The wife of Dancing With the Stars pro Brandon Armstrong is shedding insight into the show’s chaotic casting process. Brylee Armstrong posted an explanatory TikTok on Wednesday, September 3, hours after Good Morning America revealed the roster of celebrities and professional dancers set to appear in season 34. Brandon, 31, was announced in a pairing […]
The last-minute matchups, however, can mean that the pros only learn about their slot on the season roster a mere hours before the official casting announcement is made.
Keep scrolling for everything the DWTS pros have said about the casting process:
Brandon Armstrong
Brandon Armstrong dances with his season 33 partner, Chandler Kinney.Disney/Eric McCandless
Armstrong learned two days before the season 34 cast announcement that he’d be dancing with Fifth Harmony alum Lauren Jauregui.
“I was actually walking down the middle of the street. I was on, like, 37th … and the casting director called me,” Armstrong told Us in September 2025. “She’s like, ‘I got you a partner.’ [She] told me who it was, and I had to sit down on the curb. I was so excited.”
Brandon’s wife, Brylee Armstrong, claimed in a TikTok video that month he knew he’d be returning for season 34 “at the end of July.”
“There have been years where he’s gotten the call earlier, and there have been years where he’s gotten the call a lot later,” Brylee said. “Nobody’s promised a spot on the show. They have to get a group of celebrities [who] are gonna be available for a big chunk of the year. It’s, like, three to four months, so it just has to work out in their schedule. There’s a lot that goes into the pairings for the actual partnership. A big one is height [and] personality.”
Jauregui, for her part, found out that same week in 2025 — one day before jetting off to New York to appear on the Good Morning America for the full cast reveal.
“Sometimes people think that we know [the cast in advance] and we don’t. We find out when everybody else finds out,” he saidmonths before getting partnered with Danielle Fishel for season 34. “A few days before you meet your celeb, that’s when you know if you are on a season.”
“I can’t speak for everybody, but if you make it all the way to the end, you’re getting paid the whole season, which is amazing,” she said. “You get a bonus on top of that for making it to the finale. If you win, it’s not like you win a million dollars and split it with your partner. You’re just getting a cute trophy together.”
Johnson also said that pros don’t find out who their partners are until the first rehearsal.
“I think people always think we know who we have and we’re keeping it a secret. Absolutely not. They do not tell us,” Johnson said. “They really don’t even want us to know the cast. It gets leaked a lot, but they want it very hush, hush, until you walk in and you meet your partner.”
Sasha Farber
Sasha Farber with his season 33 partner, Jenn Tran.Disney/Eric McCandless
Farber and former Bachelorette Jenn Tran found out about their season 33 partnership a mere 45 minutes before catching a flight to New York City for GMA.
“I got a call, it was early in the morning, saying, ‘You need to get on a flight in 45 minutes. And I was flying down to get to the airport. I didn’t have a ticket,” Farber told Us in September 2024. “I didn’t even meet her. I see her running to security. I was like, ‘That must Jenn, good, I need to be where she’s going.’”
Tran, for her part, said that she was “crying in [her] dressing room” after her After the Final Rose taping when producers revealed she needed to get on a flight less than an hour later.
Rylee Arnold
Disney/Andrew Eccles
Rylee, whose sister Lindsay Arnoldis a former pro herself, joined the show in 2023 when she was 18.
“Opportunities were coming up in the fall. I was either going to live in [my hometown of] Utah or come down to L.A.,” she recalled on the “Lightweights” podcast in September 2024. “It was just, like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing,’ but I was hoping for the best.”

Eventually, Rylee received a phone call from casting director Katz, who shared that she’d be a pro on the show.
“Usually, when she calls, that means business,” Rylee quipped. “It could have gone the other way. … She was like, ‘I’m offering a spot for you as a pro on the show.’”
Each time, Katz did not share details about Rylee’s partner. She’s been paired with Harry Jowsey, Stephen Nedoroscik and Scott Hoying, respectively.
“It is a beautiful day today,” Farber, 41, said in the video. “Guys, the Dancing With the Stars cast announcement was today. Wow, so many good names. Who are you going to vote for? I mean, I know who I’m going to vote for. I know who you’re not going to vote for — that’s me. But that’s OK.”
“Thank you all so much for all your incredible messages. I read them all, I see it all, I adore you. I definitely don’t deserve you because you guys are amazing. I love you. Thank you so much,” he continued.
Farber said that despite his absence, he’s excited to root for the celebrities and their professional dance partners taking part in the upcoming season.
Dancing With the Stars season 34 is officially underway with a star-studded list of celebrity contestants and returning pros, but there were a few noticeable absences. The cast and their partners were announced via Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 3. Jenna Johnson and husband Val Chmerkovskiy are back in the ballroom to compete alongside […]
“This is going to be quite the season … who’s gonna win? Anyone could win. This is going to be great and I can’t wait to cheer. Love you all,” he said.
Original story:
The upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars is missing some familiar faces, including Sasha Farber.
When the season 34 cast was announced via Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 3, the dancer wasn’t named as one of the pros. It appears that Farber addressed his absence from the show in a TikTok comment days before the celeb pairs were revealed.
“Sasha, this season will not be the same without you,” a comment on Farber’s TikTok posted on Monday, September 1, read. “I started watching in 2016 when I was stuck at home on leave from work, and you became a favorite.”
Farber alluded that he wouldn’t be returning with his reply, but still supported his former cast mates. (Rumors had been swirling for weeks about a DWTS cast shakeup online.)
“Really thank you so much !!!” Farber replied. “It’s going to be such a good season.”
Farber made his debut as a DWTS pro during season 17, which aired in 2013, alongside celeb partner Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The pair finished in eighth place that season and Farber took a break from the show. He returned as a pro for season 22 in 2016 alongside partner Kim Fields, with whom he finished in seventh place.
The full celebrity cast reveal has brought Us one step closer to a new season of Dancing With the Stars. The highly successful 33rd season of the ballroom dance competition aired from September to November 2024, with Bachelor Joey Graziadei and pro partner Jenna Johnson winning the coveted mirrorball trophy. The season broke records, drawing […]
The dancer appeared on DWTS consistently from 2016 to 2024. His most recent appearance on the show was with Jenn Tran on season 33. The duo kicked off a showmance while competing last year and split this past June.
Peta Murgatroyd, Artem Chigvintsev and Lindsay Arnold are among the DWTS cast of professional dancers who also won’t be returning for the upcoming season.

Arnold, 31, hasn’t been on the show since 2021, but fans have been hoping for a comeback ever since. She did tell viewers in a TikTok last month that she’s not yet ready to return.
“My reasons for not doing the show feel even more relevant than they did in the past,” she said, noting that things have been left “open-ended” with the series.

In an interview with Page Six published Tuesday, September 2, Hall, 44, admitted he’d hoped the pair’s divorce could be settled out of the public eye. “I didn’t want to have a public feud and have a back and forth publicly,” he explained.
Hall added that he feels he needs to tell his side of the story. “Now I need to have something to say because, unfortunately, people have only read what she says,” he continued, a reference to Haack’s social media posts on the subject.
Of those messages, Hall said, “I thought it lacked class, to be honest.”
He later added, “But I thought it was unnecessary … obviously don’t drag a divorce out there. It’s immature. Let’s share some stuff, but the behaving like a pissed off teenager on social media is just not something I’m going to do.”
Christina Haack has vividly criticized a recent statement issued by a representative for Josh Hall. Haack, 41, who split from Hall, 44, in July 2024, posted her thoughts on the statement — recently obtained from a representative for Hall and published by Us Weekly — via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, January 14. The statement, […]
Hall and Haack, 42, married in April 2022 after one year of dating. Though the pair went public with their relationship in July 2021, Haack later admitted they’d been dating for longer than that.
“I met Josh when I wasn’t in a state of fear or fight-or-flight. … The synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore,” she shared via Instagram at the time. “We’ve had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other and I’ve loved every second of it.”
The duo announced their divorce two years later in July 2024 when Haack filed for a dissolution of marriage.
The Flip Off host reflected on working with Hall while speaking exclusively to Us in January 2025. “It’s much easier to film with someone when you don’t have to go home with them. It’s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse,” she said of filming the series with Hall as well as with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.

She continued, “Josh was very hard to film with. He didn’t get it. He’d always get upset with me, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’ Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode one because the show would’ve sucked.”

Haack also made it clear that canceling the show after the pair’s split was never on the table. “This isn’t Josh’s show. No one’s going to miss that he’s not in it,” she added. “Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house flipper, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. With Tarek, we built everything together, and I still have respect for him. I have no respect for Josh.”
Haack and Tarek, 44, were married from April 2009 to December 2016 and share daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 10. She married ex-husband Ant Anstead in December 2018, and the pair finalized their divorce in June 2021. Haack and Anstead, 46, are parents to son Hudson, 5.
Nick Agro/Warner Bros. Discovery Christina Haack was free to say whatever she wanted about estranged husband Josh Hall after his exit from The Flip Off. Before the HGTV series premiered, Christina got her start on Flip or Flop with then-husband Tarek El Moussa. The former couple worked on the show during their marriage — which […]
In the same month, Haack took to her Instagram Stories to explain she was “energy cutting” amidst the divorce drama. The pair’s divorce settlement revealed Hall departed the marriage with a home in Tennessee, a condo in Tennessee and land in California, as well as furniture, a 2021 Bentley, a 1970 Chevelle, a 1982 DeLorean, a 1947 Dodge and a Hondo Motorcycle. Haack retained her home in California, multiple homes in Tennessee, and her business, as well as two 2021 GMC Yukons, a 2021 Polaris Razor and four quads. Both parties waived their right to spousal support, and Hall received a one-time payment of $300,000.
Ethan Plath’s girlfriend, Teegan Nichols, clapped back at Veronica Peters’ claim that she has an OnlyFans account during the latest Welcome to Plathville episode.
“Ethan was really upset. I thought it was really funny. I couldn’t stop laughing,” Teegan said during the Tuesday, September 2, episode of the TLC series. “And obviously it’s not true.”
Teegan, who made her reality TV debut earlier this season, took the accusation in stride.
“I just felt really flattered that she felt like she could say that about me,” she told the cameras. “Because not everyone, I guess, could have an OnlyFans.” (OnlyFans is an adult-themed site where users can post naked photos, videos and more adult-specific content.)
Teegan added that Micah Plath’s girlfriend, Veronica, had only met her once — at Lydia Plath’s proposal — before she made the allegations.
“I don’t know, it’s really fan-like behavior in my opinion to be so obsessed with someone that you’ve met one single time,” Teegan confessed. “Veronica must be very insecure about something.”
“Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend! She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known!” she wrote at the time. “Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”

Teegan was then introduced to fans during season 7 of Welcome to Plathville, where she was shown meeting Ethan’s family little by little.
Veronica, meanwhile, made her TLC debut during season 6 of the series in August 2024. Throughout season 7, she and Micah have weathered many storms, including Veronica’s revelations that Micah previously cheated on her.
While Micah confirmed his infidelity and apologized to Veronica on the show earlier this season, issues surrounding trust resurfaced during Tuesday’s episode while they attended a counseling session.
Veronica Peters had an explosive fight with boyfriend Micah Plath on the latest episode of Welcome to Plathville following continued issues with his family. “My family doesn’t have anything to do with mine and your relationship,” Micah, 24, claimed during the Tuesday, August 19, episode of the TLC series. Veronica, however, didn’t agree, claiming that […]
During therapy, Veronica claimed that Teegan had an OnlyFans account and Micah couldn’t help himself from searching for it.
“I don’t think it’s normal to look up your brother’s girlfriend’s naked photos,” Veronica told the therapist, to which Micah responded, “I didn’t find any.”
Veronica then took the counselor through what had just transpired, explaining, “He’s in his phone and I look over his shoulder and he’s looking up his brother’s girlfriend’s naked photos on the Internet. … She’s like a naked model on the internet. That’s weird.”

Micah noted that when they were driving to therapy, Veronica told him she saw a story that claimed Teegan was on OnlyFans, so he tried to “get the facts.”
“He wants to see it,” Veronica alleged. “No, I don’t really want to see it at all,” he fired back.
Veronica was upset, telling Micah that he is “not seeing her again ever,” referring to Teegan. “I don’t trust you. You’re not allowed around her now,” she quipped.
“He’ll end up in bed with her. You’re not seeing her anymore,” Veronica claimed.
Micah was taken aback, asking his girlfriend, “You don’t think my brother’s girlfriend is someone I know that is 100 percent off limits? I’m defending my brother in this scenario and looking with his best interest.”
Veronica pointed out that he’s “hurt” her in the past by cheating, noting it’s a trigger for her even though it’s Ethan’s girlfriend.
“It’s not just this. It’s so many things. When she finds out something that paints certain family members of mine in a bad light, she is so quick to not fact check them but just spread them,” Micah explained to which Veronica admitted, “I’m very much eye for an eye.”
Welcome to Plathville’s Olivia Plath is spilling the tea about her estranged husband Ethan Plath’s love life, claiming he’s engaged amid their ongoing divorce. Olivia, 27, broke down her and Ethan’s split timeline via a TikTok video on Monday, April 28. She alleged that while fans saw Ethan sign divorce papers during an August 2024 […]
While Veronica and Micah left therapy still together, her accusations didn’t sit well with Micah’s family.
“Veronica’s done so much crap in the last few months that’s completely unnecessary, including reaching out to [my ex-wife] Olivia [Plath],” Ethan said during the episode. “She enjoys the fighting. She enjoys the drama.”

He claimed, “She’s more interested in digging up dirt on other people. I guess maybe she just wanted it to be true.”
Teegan, meanwhile, took the high road, saying that Veronica’s insecurities must be the reason for her accusations. “At the end of the day, I don’t know if it’s her relationship with Micah, her relationship with the family in relation to just herself even. It’s just sad, that’s all,” Teegan added.
Welcome to Plathville airs on TLC Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
In a lyric, the great David Berman alluded to the myth of King Midas by imagining him in isolation, as a “sad king trapped in his golden room.” That’s, more or less, the state at which Solène has arrived. Having manipulated everyone to her advantage only to systematically disappoint them, she’s now isolated. Everyone is done with her, perhaps no one more than Jess, once her staunch defender. Imagine how validated Rainbeau must feel, like Chicken Little when the town wakes up to the fact that aliens are actually coming.
Solène can’t defend herself effectively because not only is she lacking in actual defense ammunition (the complaints against her are indisputable), she also rejects the premise that she has something to defend herself against wholesale. I guess that’s one way of living your life, just pretending like the problems you have caused are in other people’s heads. When we pick up this week, Rainbeau and Solène are in the midst of their fight, with Solène whining about Rainbeau’s long to-do list. She complains to Jess at the bar, who is quickly losing patience and empathy. As if on cue, Rainbeau walks in mid-complaint to ask Solène to bring some drinks for the guests on the sundeck. Even though they are mostly just pours — rosé, Champagne, one tequila cocktail — it takes Solène forever to make the drinks, which she then proceeds to spill.
Earlier in the season, I was frustrated with Rainbeau’s white-knuckle method of dealing with Solène. I believed that if only she were to tell Fraser what was going on, the problem could be addressed and resolved. I was, of course, sorely mistaken. At this point, Rainbeau has voiced her frustrations to both Fraser and Solène a maddening number of times. Tonight, she covers all bases, first by texting Fraser — “I don’t know what to do” — then asking to clear the air with Solène directly. For someone who self-describes as explosive, Rainbeau continues to demonstrate impressive amounts of game-ness. They agree to try harder to get along the following night, high-fiving to seal the deal.
Solène’s main refrain is that she doesn’t like the way people speak to her, alternately as a lowly servant and “a baby child.” Mostly, it’s obvious that she doesn’t like to take orders. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it’s sort of a major part of a job in the service industry. Even then, when people try to talk to her like an adult, as Rainbeau did, the message doesn’t compute, either. Perhaps noticing this, Fraser tries a new approach. In the morning, he tells Hugo that he will send both Rainbeau and Solène to the beach excursion, and asks him to tell his crew not to talk to Solène. The idea is to eliminate the opportunity for distraction and to prevent her from causing it. Hugo agrees to the plan, relays the message to his crew, then wonders: “How difficult could it be?” No such question has ever been asked of something easy.
To Solène herself, Fraser only says that Rainbeau is in charge and to do what she says. Wondering, at this point, if a more honest approach wouldn’t be more effective — “you need to talk less and work more,” for example — is pointless. After talking about Solène’s lackluster work ethic with an incensed Jess in the crew mess, Bárbara seems confused about why it’s suddenly news that Solène is bad at her job. She becomes convinced that Jess’s disproportionate investment in Solène’s performance has to do with unresolved feelings. Later, she tells Fraser as much, and she’s probably at least a little bit right.
The beach team heads out to set up, and Kyle asks if Damo also “got the talk” about not speaking with Solène. They chuckle about it. Earlier, Kyle told Bárbara that though Solène — incapable of understanding anything that puts her in an unfavorable light — still doesn’t see how what she did to him was like what Jess did to her, the fact that Bárbara and Jess are now together means he can pursue Solène again. In fact, it seems like Solène is the pursuer: she chases him around the entire episode, even going to his cabin to kiss him good night one evening (in the middle of service). “Solène has come crawling back,” Kyle tells Jess, semi-triumphantly. It makes me feel like I am going insane.
For now, though, Solène is at the beach, still in the dark about the embargo. An abridged list of questionable actions: she licks the Kewpie bottle being used to make food; attempts to wash a knife with sand, then sticks the knife in her pants, sharp-edge up, perfectly positioned to stab her in the armpits. (A clarifying text appears onscreen: “53 days of yachting.”) She tells Damo that she loves “to escape,” meaning to escape from work, and he tells her she’s just like Anthony — all day, they complain about the work they have chosen to do. “You’ve got a problem with me?” Solène replies.
This will come to a head later that day, but for now, an interlude reminds us that these people are working on a boat, so there are boat-related tasks to attend to, such as mid-moor anchoring. “The biggest two things that all captains fear in the Caribbean,” Kerry explains nervously, “are going through that bridge” — we know the one — “and tying up at St. Barths.” The moment he mentioned the bridge, I knew things were going to be fine. You can’t trick me, editors! The mid-moor anchoring involves moving the boat afterthe anchors have been dropped, though nobody explains why that’s a requirement in St. Barths. One issue is evident: the dock is packed with boats, and the St. David is enormous. Kerry approaches the task like the scene in Oppenheimerwhen they test the bomb. The deck team’s reactions to Kerry’s nervousness perfectly encapsulate each of their personalities. Jess: “This is what we’ve been leading up to all season.” Hugo: “There’s a bit of a safety risk, and there’s a lot more pressure on Kerry.” Damo: “I’m just glad I’m a deckhand in charge of an anchor and not a captain in charge of a ship.” Kyle: “I’m fucking shitting myself.” In the end, it all works out. Kerry is so happy about it that he shakes everyone’s hands.
In the crew mess, Kyle, Damo, and Solène have dinner together while Fraser eats at a separate table. Solène tells Damo that she noticed a change in his attitude toward her that day on the beach. Damo deadpans: “We were told we’re not allowed to talk to you.” Fraser’s eyes widen. “Because you don’t do any work when we talk to you,” Damo continues. Also on late shifts, Damo sees how much Rainbeau works to pick up Solène’s slack, and he seems annoyed that no one is being straight-up with Solène. “They’ve told you enough, so now they have to tell us instead,” Damo concludes. Solène looks surprised but not as rattled as she will seem to be later, when she uses the whole exchange as fuel for drama.
Fraser immediately tells Hugo what happened. They agree it was out of left field for Damo to have said something; it seemed obvious that the deck team wasn’t supposed to tell Solène about the embargo. But when Hugo talks to Damo about it, the deckhand isn’t too sorry. He seems frustrated with the indirectness of the whole thing, with how much everyone has to continuously accommodate Solène’s feelings. “Sorry I put you in a bad place,” he tells Hugo, “but this is not my fault.” Fair enough, I think. However rogue of a move on his part it may have been, it must be super annoying to have to bear the responsibility of Solène’s ineffectiveness when she herself is barely putting in any work. For his part, Hugo is so over it that all he can muster up to say is: “I don’t know, just don’t talk to her and don’t tell her I told you not to.”
Solène complains to Fraser and Rainbeau about the rule, and Rainbeau points out that she did this to herself. In a confessional, Fraser tells us that he won’t “give up” on Solène and is determined to “fix this.” Through what method, it’s impossible to say, unless he can find a way to manually rewire her brain. The rest of the night goes by without a hitch; Kerry enjoys dinner with the guests, and Emily loves her boob-shaped cake, which Anthony half-stressed about when requested but ultimately made him feel like Michelangelo carving a sculpture. Before going to bed, Damo and Solène clear the air. Solène, “feeling persecuted,” says she is determined to find out who created the rule.
Then again, she is always doing stuff like theatrically falling over the guests’ luggage. After drop-off, the crew gathers to receive their $1,615 share of the total $21,000 tip, which raises everyone’s spirits — only for them to plummet over lunch in the crew mess. In front of everyone, Solène asks Kerry, who is eating with them, if he was the one who told the deck team not to speak to her. Kerry explains that he knows Fraser asked the deck team to stop “harassing” her so she could complete her work, a distorted and generous presentation of the facts: She is the distractor! He asks her if she understands, and she says no. After Kerry leaves, she asks Jess and Bárbara if they think the captain was upset about her questioning him. “You shouldn’t have asked, babe,” Bárbara replies.
The rage and resentment that had been building in Jess throughout the charter find an outlet. No doubt piqued by Kerry’s view of the situation, she tells Solène that her poor work ethic is tarnishing the team’s reputation and that she must take responsibility for her own actions. Solène tries to argue that “it’s not like that,” but everyone agrees: it is exactly like that. Solène tries to say that she “doesn’t know.” What she doesn’t know is unclear. How to respect the boat’s hierarchy? That there is one in the first place? But Jess is not taking it — she says Solène knows better than to ask the captain questions like that. It can’t feel good to be in a room full of people telling you, basically, that you suck; then again, it’s not like Solène ever had much regard for other people’s feelings. At first, Jess apologizes for raising her voice, but when Solène tells her it’s too late, she doubles down and says she’s not even sorry, actually. Later, Damo says that this outburst has a lot more to do with Jess than it does with Solène, echoing Bárbara’s suspicions.
Taken aback, Kerry asks Fraser to explain to Solène that her question was inappropriate. Fraser tells Kerry it’s been a struggle with Solène since day one, though he is “very proud” of how far she has come since the beginning of the charter. Sure, she has gotten better at the basic requirements of the job — like making cabin beds, for example — but at least from where I’m standing, it seems integral to know how to be a part of a team in a job like this, and in that sense, she has a long way to go. Fraser tries to explain all of this to her in a one-on-one. Solène counters that no one has said she hasn’t been doing a good job until now, and we cut to a succession of instances when Fraser told her not to take random breaks or be late for guest pick-up. Unwittingly, she exposes the whole problem with Fraser’s approach when she states, “Stop telling people I’m doing a bad job. If I’d been doing a bad job, I’d have left earlier.”
Fraser doesn’t want to fire Solène because it’s the “easy” route; we see a clip of last season, when, in the throes of his worst fights with Barbie (a difficult person to deal with, but excellent at her job), Kerry told him that leadership is also about knowing how to strengthen the team. The fact that Solène seems surprised that her work has been less-than-sufficient only demonstrates that building a team has to do as much with critical feedback as it does with praise. That’s assuming that Solène would have taken the critical feedback to heart, but still. There was a third option there, at one point. Now, with one charter to go, it might be too late.
“It is with a heavy heart that I tell you my wife and Iare parting ways after 14 years of marriage,” Savchenko said in a statement to Us. “We still intend to coparent our wonderful children together who we love so dearly, and we will strive to continue to be the best parents that we can to them. We ask that you respect our family’s need for privacy and healing during this time.”
