  • Spencer Pratt faces harsh family opposition in LA mayoral bid despite growing community support

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Spencer Pratt’s quest to positively impact Los Angeles was lost on his sister’s ears.

Stephanie Pratt voiced her concerns about her brother’s mayoral campaign and claimed his intentions aren’t so pure.

In a series of posts shared on X, Stephanie noted that Spencer was a vital asset to the community more than one year after the devastating LA wildfires. However, she assured her followers that “The Hills” star was simply trying to stay relevant.

Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, lost their Pacific Palisades home in January 2025 during the deadly LA wildfires. Pratt said his parents also lost their home in the fires.

“Spencer has done great work for the palisades,” Stephanie wrote. “But LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor. A vote for him is a vote for stupidity.”

She continued, “He’s just trying to stay famous and sell his memoir don’t be fooled.”

Stephanie mused over an “ideal world” where the Palisades received their own “mayor and police department,” but was more concerned with the current issues plaguing Los Angeles.

SPENCER PRATT VOWS TO WORK WITH FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON ICE ENFORCEMENT AS LA MAYOR CANDIDATE

“I’m worried about LA. I have no problem playing government but our city needs help,” Stephanie wrote.

“Everyone saying I should support him no matter what. Sorry he beat me up when I was 18 & put me in the hospital. So no he doesn’t belong in the government. Run the palisades all you want not LA.”

She added, “Leopards never change their spots. Stay in the palisades Spencer.”

A vocal opponent to current Mayor Karen Bass, “The Guy You Loved to Hate” author launched his Los Angeles mayoral campaign last month. He told Fox News Digital that while he often finds himself standing alone in public, the support he receives behind closed doors tells a very different story.

“I know actual A-list stars support what I do, because I’ve been at restaurants, and they sit down at the table, and they quiz me about everything that I know for 20 minutes and thank me,” Pratt said. “But these people know if they do that publicly, they risk losing their careers that some of them have been working for 30 years to have.”

Pratt said he understands the risks that come with speaking publicly and doesn’t fault those who choose to stay quiet.

“So, I don’t judge them,” he added. “It’s just the same with firefighters that don’t come forward with the truth because of retaliation. There’s no difference between public employees who know what’s going on and celebrities. Everyone sees what’s happening, but everyone’s scared to talk.”

The reality star said the release of his memoir and his decision to run for mayor unfolded simultaneously in a way that felt beyond his control.

“The timing of the mayor and the book — that’s God’s timing because the book actually came together right after the fires over a year ago,” he told Fox News Digital. “So, the writing’s been happening all year.”

As the manuscript took shape, Pratt said he was watching the political landscape closely and growing increasingly frustrated.

“And then when I saw that nobody was stepping up to run against Mayor Karen Bass in the last month or so, I had to do it,” he said. “Again, it’s God’s timing.”

  • Reality star Heather Gay shocked by society’s glaring double standards: ‘Drop a few pounds and you’re a hero’

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Heather Gay knows the challenges of maintaining an impeccable appearance – whether on camera, through her lucrative beauty business or as a former member of the Mormon church.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star was surprised, though, by how differently she was treated after shedding 30 pounds with weight loss shots. Gay admitted that pursuing her health and using GLP-1’s truly changed her entire relationship with food and her body.

“It’s because, for the first time in my life, I have a little bit of power and control over something that’s baffled me,” Gay said. Critics, though, still found a way to pick apart the reality star.

“I was a pretty outspoken, harsh person when I was heavier, and everyone just thought it was funny,” Gay said before explaining, “When I’m a harsh, outspoken person with less weight, I’m a raging b—h.”

Despite dropping the weight, the Atkins spokesperson was adamant that the only thing that changed about her was a number on the scale.

“Everyone thinks that I am a different person now. I am the exact same person,” Gay said. “I like the exact same foods. I like the exact same activities. I like the exact same people. The smallest change is who I am. The biggest change is my pants size. That’s really it.

WATCH: Heather Gay felt the world was ‘disappointed’ in how she looked overweight

“That’s been the hardest thing to reconcile is that attention from people is now so positive, whereas before it was pretty negative about my body and looks really.”

‘REAL HOUSEWIVES’ STAR JEN SHAH FREED EARLY FROM PRISON SENTENCE FOR WIRE FRAUD SCHEME

Gay’s no stranger to putting on a brave face and has used her voice – and television star status – to campaign against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

From a young age, the bestselling author says she was taught that “perfection is attainable” in the Mormon church.

“As a culture, you know when I was a Mormon – we want our lives to be beautiful. We want our lives to be like Instagram squares, and I think we have a very gendered culture,” Gay said. “I think that culture bleeds into us having a lot of pressure on us as women to look a certain way. It’s a patriarchal culture and the only way you really have power or currency is through your beauty. And that can be discouraging if it’s not in your wheelhouse.”

While Gay has been outspoken against the church between her “Bad Mormon” memoir and “Surviving Mormonism” docuseries, she was surprised by how many people supported her weight loss efforts and not her desire to leave the church.

“I mean, everybody wants you to lose weight. The before and after – everyone cheered me on. Not one person said, ‘Are you sure this is what you wanna do? Are you sure this is a better choice for you or your family,’” she said.

“It is shocking how it’s kind of universally celebrated – weight loss – but when you unload something much heavier with much more weight on my heart, mind and soul, that was criticized heavily. But, you drop a few pounds, and you’re a hero.”

She noted there’s a certain kind of “secrecy and shame” around not being born perfect in Mormon society. The mother-of-three maintains open and honest communication within her own household of women, in an attempt to change the narrative about physical and personal beauty standards.

“I want the focus with my daughters to be on fueling our bodies in a way that they can carry us through life and accomplish everything we want them to do,” she said. “And you have to remember that the majority of my life, people considered me to be totally overweight. I didn’t consider myself to be anything other than who I was.

“But I was very aware of how the world wanted more from me and was disappointed in how I looked. And so to be able to lose weight and feel healthy and support my body in a way that feels like a good example to my daughters and also without shame or secrecy has just been a new chapter for me.”

Gay praised Atkins for helping her maintain her weight loss and also providing accessible snack options for her family.

“My kids can see that I can be healthy, maintain my weight loss and still eat delicious normal snacks and treats,” she said.

“Like our cupboards are full, the fridge is full, like. We never have to jump in the car to go somewhere without asking if we need a protein shake. Do you need a bar? Do you need something to get you through?”

  • A Canceled Celebrity Rehab Reality Show? Oh, Boy

While everyone is looking back at 2016, E! is looking even further at 2006. In the spirit of From G’s to Gents, the network is developing a series in which a bunch of canceled celebrities are brought together in one house to help rehabilitate their reputations. Just what we needed. The working title is Becoming Uncanceled, reports The Ankler. “You can think about the kind of people we’re talking about — not criminals — who might need to redeem themselves in front of America,” Versant‘s entertainment president Val Boreland explained. “I don’t know if you could out rule a politician, but again, this isn’t to be salacious about criminal activity. It’s supposed to be more fun with a little of the serious nature of getting themselves back on track.” Usually, when someone gets “canceled,” it’s not for easily forgivable reasons. Former Try Guy Ned Fulmer has already tried it with his podcast Rock Bottom. Either way, we might have a suggestion for someone probably looking into PR rehab, in case they’re open to suggestions.

  • Spencer Pratt announces run for LA mayor on one-year anniversary of Palisades fire that destroyed his home

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Spencer Pratt announced on the one-year anniversary of the start of the Palisades Fire that he plans to run for mayor of Los Angeles.

Pratt, whose home burned down during the fires last year, made the announcement during a “They Let Us Burn!” protest in the Pacific Palisades near the remains of his home Wednesday.

“On Jan. 7, 2025, [his wife] Heidi [Montag] and I lost our home. We lost every material possession we own. My parents lost their home too and, with it, decades of memories lost inside those walls,” Pratt emotionally told the crowd on Wednesday, calling it the “worst day of my life.”

The 42-year-old noted he grew up in the Palisades, “thinking that my two boys would grow up here just like I did with that same hometown feeling. Then, right before my eyes, that future that I envisioned burned to the ground.”

Pratt, a frequent critic of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom, said the most “heartbreaking” part of the last year was the “realization that all of this was preventable.”

The former “The Hills” reality star accused the state of letting “brush grow wild” in Topanga State Park for 50 years without wildfire maintenance and creating a “hostile” insurance environment that prompted carriers to drop them before the fires.

“I have realized that the city I love is being managed into the ground by people who don’t have the courage to actually lead,” he said. “Business as usual is a death sentence for Los Angeles, and I’m done waiting for someone to take real action. That’s why I am running for mayor. And let me be clear, this just isn’t a campaign. This is a mission.”

After making his announcement, Pratt posted a photo of himself with his signed paperwork to run for mayor, writing, “Yes, it’s official. Papers are filed and campaign is open: mayorpratt.com.”

Since losing his home, Pratt has been vocal on social media, accusing city and state leaders of mismanagement, corruption and “criminal negligence” in their response to the fires.

In January 2025, Pratt and Montag sued the city of Los Angeles and the Department of Water and Power over the destruction of their home.

The “Hills” alums filed the suit Jan. 21, 2025, along with 20 other property owners, blaming the city and the utility company for the damage.

Republicans have also launched a congressional investigation into the fire response.

“When people are like, ‘How do you feel about Republican senators opening a congressional investigation into the Palisades?’ I’m just happy anyone is investigating why the people who paid almost $700,000,000 in taxes, to these people who are employees, aren’t being questioned in front of every judge, jury, investigator, cop, sheriff, detective,” Pratt said last year.

He was also joined in the Palisades by U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler, who toured the damage amid delayed rebuild permits.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Pratt, Newsom and Bass for comment.

“It’s no shock that in advance of his imminent book release, a reality TV ‘villain’ who once staged a fake divorce to boost ratings and spent the last summer spewing post-fire misinformation and disinformation to pump up his social media following, would now announce he’s running for Mayor,” Douglas Herman, Bass’ campaign strategist, told Fox News Digital.

A spokesperson from Newsom’s office told Fox News Digital in part, “Topanga State Park is within LA city limits. By law, the fire response is the responsibility of the Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD), not the state. Parks is not a firefighting agency and does not direct fire response.”

The governor’s office said, “With respect to the origin of the fire, the U.S. Department of Justice has determined that it was intentionally set by an out-of-state arsonist who was arrested in Florida. The governor expects the suspect to be held fully accountable under the law.

“Gov. Newsom has been focused on stabilizing and modernizing California’s home insurance market, especially as climate change drives more severe wildfire risk.”

The spokesperson added that California insurance rates “remain below the national average and significantly less than some other states.”

  • Savannah Chrisley defends Erika Kirk, slams reality star for ‘cheap shot’ at grieving mother

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Savannah Chrisley came to Erika Kirk’s defense after a fellow reality star called out the grieving widow on social media.

“Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn took umbrage with Erika’s parenting choices in a post shared Wednesday on X. “Erika Kirk be everywhere but with her kids,” Quinn wrote in a message to her 50,000 followers.

Chrisley, 28, fired back at Quinn, and listed myriad ways Erika has advocated for her two children following the September assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

Chrisley added, “Taking a cheap shot at a woman who just lost her husband and is doing everything she can to create stability for her children isn’t the look you think it is.”

The “Chrisley Knows Best” star signed off on her post with a plea for kindness and understanding.

“Erika is one of the strongest, most intentional mothers I’ve ever witnessed and she deserves compassion, not commentary from people who see a post but not her pain,” she wrote.

Chrisley was set to join Charlie Kirk on a college campus tour before his assassination on Sept. 10. The Turning Point USA founder was shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University.

She described Charlie’s impact on her life during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” at Charlie’s memorial service.

“I think when this assassin did take Charlie’s life, that was the turning point for him,” Chrisley said. “He thought he was ending Charlie’s life, but he really just created millions and millions of Charlie’s followers to fight. To fight for our freedom, to fight for us to have a voice. For me to watch it, it’s so sad and it breaks my heart. To see Erika [Charlie’s wife] step in as a woman and take on this role, Charlie knew that if he couldn’t do it, she was the only one that could do it.”

Chrisley said that Kirk “gave [her] a voice in times when she felt she didn’t have one.”

“I was so excited to get to sit next to Charlie and open up to him and get to know him on a more personal level, like a lot of my friends who got to know him,” she said. “But above all else, Charlie has been a voice for our country.”

The reality TV star said it is remarkable to see how Charlie’s legacy at Turning Point USA has impacted young adults, including her brother.

“To watch my 19-year-old brother and watch all these college kids now show up and be loud and not be afraid because, at the end of the day, our lives are on the line,” she said. “2028 is coming up. And Charlie, he wants us to fight. He wants us to be loud. And he said it himself, ‘If you don’t correct evil, if you don’t speak about evil, when evil is happening, then that in itself is evil.’ So it’s my job to stand up, be loud, and really I don’t care who likes it and who doesn’t.”

“I keep saying that above all else, Charlie Kirk and his wife Erika, are Christians,” she continued. “Isn’t that really the message? I think bringing Christianity back into households is the only thing that’s going to save us as a country. I know for me, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I don’t know where I would be today without it.”

“And so watching Erika, I don’t know how she spoke the word of God after losing her husband. I mean, I was in such awe to know that she is now the leader of Turning Point. I mean, we only go up from here.”

Kirk, 31, was assassinated at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem on Sept. 10. He was pronounced dead later that day.

The political activist had traveled around the country to college campuses, where he had conducted question-and-answer sessions with students and discussed key political issues.

Authorities identified the murder suspect as Tyler Robinson, 22, who appeared for the first time Thursday during a hearing in Utah.

  • Kim Kardashian’s brain scan uncovers troubling ‘holes’ causing low activity

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kim Kardashian is publicly sharing her struggles with her brain health.

The reality star, 45, made the decision to get a brain scan after learning that she may have an aneurysm, and when her doctor was reviewing the results, he found that she has “holes” in her brain.

She visited the doctor with Scott Disick, as seen in the latest episode of the family’s reality show, “The Kardashians,” to “see what my brain looks like.” The two underwent the scans, then psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen met with them to go over their results.

He started by telling Kardashian that she has a “beautiful brain,” and that it’s “not a brain that gets Alzheimer’s.”

“You are extraordinary in being positive,” Dr. Amen continued, “which is why you’re not terribly stressed, anxious or depressed.”

He showed her another view from the scan, and she asked, “What are those holes?”

“Yeah, I don’t like that,” he admitted. “So what the holes mean is low activity … the front part of your brain is less active than it should be. With your frontal lobes as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress. That’s not good for you, especially as you’re studying and getting ready to take the boards.”

At the time of filming, Kardashian was gearing up to take the California bar exam – she later revealed that she failed.

When discussing the results of the scan later, she told the camera, “That just can’t be. It just can’t. Not accepting.”

“It could be the chronic stress that you’ve been under, trying to think about taking the boards in a couple months and studying 10 hours a day, not to mention all the other things that go on in your life,” Dr. Amen explained. “But we have to make it better.”

“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she wrote. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”

  • Todd and Julie Chrisley home for holidays after Trump pardons end prison time

    [ad_1]

Todd and Julie Chrisley are happy to be home for the holidays for the first time in two years since surrendering to prison.

The Chrisleys, who rose to fame with their hit reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted in 2022 of federal bank fraud and tax evasion. Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, who have maintained their innocence, were sentenced to 12 and seven years, respectively, and reported to separate federal prisons on Jan. 17, 2023.

The couple served 28 months in prison before being released in May after they received pardons from President Donald Trump.

TODD CHRISLEY SHARES PRESIDENT TRUMP’S SURPRISING FIRST REMARK AFTER PRISON PARDON

During a joint interview with Fox News Digital, Todd and Julie shared what they were most looking forward to celebrating this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

“The thing that matters the most is us being together again,” Todd said. “And Christmas is a big time for Julie, and she does all the decorating and all that stuff, so she’s already started that process. So we’re just happy to be back and to be back doing what we do and with our family.”

“To be able to be together,” Julie agreed. “Christmas is a hard time when you’re not with your family and so it’s just a blessing that we’re together.”

The reality stars, who have been married since 1996, share sons Chase, 29, and Grayson, 19, and daughter Savannah, 28. Todd is also father to daughter Lindsie, 36, and son Kyle, 34, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Teresa Terry.

Ahead of Christmas last year, Savannah, who fought tirelessly to get her parents pardoned, opened up about spending the holiday without them for the second year in a row.

“Obviously, mom and dad are not here, shocker,” Savannah said.

“But hopefully they will be next year,” Nanny Faye told her. “Our hearts are heavy, but we’re not going to let the devil win and the people that hate us, we’re going to march right on down that road. I tell you children, nothing’s forever. This shall pass, and we will be better for it because God don’t put stuff on us that he don’t get us out of.”

Savannah, who became the legal guardian for her younger siblings Chloe and Grayson during her parents’ incarceration, revealed that they would be taking an international trip for Christmas in lieu of their traditional celebration.

“I learned last Christmas — I did Christmas for the kids, I cooked a whole meal all of that and friends came over you came over — it was great, we enjoyed the time, food was great, but also, Mom and Dad aren’t here, so trying to pretend everything’s the same really is not what’s in the best interest for everybody,” Savannah said. “So this year, I asked the kids, I said, ‘Do you guys want gifts or do you want to go somewhere?’ They decided they wanted to go somewhere.”

Meanwhile, Nanny Faye explained that she would be celebrating Christmas with her other son Randy. Nanny Faye shared Todd and Randy with her late husband Gene Raymond Chrisley, who died at the age of 77 in 2012.

Savannah led a relentless public and political campaign for her parents’ pardons. During their incarceration, Savannah met with officials in Washington, attended conservative events including CPAC, and worked through formal clemency channels.

On the day the pardon was announced, she revealed on Instagram that Trump had personally called her to inform her the pardon paperwork was signed.

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Todd shared details about the call that he had with Trump after he and Julie were released from prison.

“He congratulated us on coming home,” Todd said. “He said, ‘Well you look great.’”

“He’s always got those one-liners,” the reality star added. “President Trump has been wonderful to our family, as the world knows now. And he was just very congratulatory. He was very kind and I extended my gratitude to him, and he said, ‘I just want you to have a wonderful life.’”

Following their return from prison, Julie told Fox News Digital that she and Todd would be hosting their family at their home in Nashville for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.

    “I can’t wait,” she said. “Can’t wait.”

Todd teased that Julie will be hosting a new cooking show that he said will “air next year.” Julie previously hosted the webseries “What’s Cooking With Julie Chrisley” in 2019.

“I’m excited for her to have that, because that’s what the fans have asked for years,” Todd said. “So now she’s doing what she loves to do.”

In November 2024, Savannah revealed on Instagram that Julie had helped plan the family’s Thanksgiving dinner from prison, including writing a shopping list for her.

The couple made their return to reality TV in the Lifetime show “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” which premiered in September.

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Julie shared some of the dishes that would be on the family’s dinner table this Thanksgiving.

“You’re in the South, so you have to have turkey and dressing, you have to have macaroni and cheese, you have to have sweet potatoes, you know, the whole bit,” she said.

The couple told Fox News Digital that they did not plan on starting any new traditions this year but instead, they would continue with their usual customs. Todd noted that he had already adhered to his practice of making his holiday shopping list in October.

“I think our holidays are gonna stay the way that they always have,” Todd said. “We love Christmas, and I love to give to our children and to Julie and to my mother, because God knows if you give Julie one thing that my mother doesn’t get, it’s a whole other issue.”

“Right,” Julie agreed with a laugh.

“So I don’t know that we’re changing any of that,” Todd said.

“I think our children grew up,” Julie said. “They were forced to grow up while we were gone. And I think for that you relinquish some control and realize that you know what, they’re gonna be okay. You know, they survived it. And I think that’s a good thing that’s come of this.”

“I think that wasn’t a bad thing that they had to grow up,” she added.

“I don’t know that I would have ever been able to have let go until I was forced to let go,” Todd admitted. “And now I see my adult children in such a different light.”

“I see where some of them had struggles with certain things and then the others kind of just exploded, and you saw everything that we had poured into that child,” he continued. “I think also we now see each of our children as individuals. They’re not just our children, they’re individuals.”

Todd and Julie previously shared their plans to eventually make Charleston, South Carolina their family’s permanent home. However, the couple, who both hail from South Carolina, told Fox News Digital that they will be making a detour by first relocating to the Lone Star State.

“We are going to probably build our forever compound in Charleston, South Carolina,” Todd said. “But we are going to move to Texas, and that’s where we will pick up our filming of the show and the other shows that we’re gonna be doing.”

Todd said that he envisions their children living in the “forever compound” with them as well as Nanny Faye.

“I want our home there — Chase, Savannah, Grayson,” he said. “My mother’s always wherever we are. And Chloe’s a given, she’s with me wherever I go. But my mother has said she’s living to be 150, so you know she’s already planning what she wants to build.”

“We have the hopes that he will see that this was a trophy prosecution, a complete weaponization of the DOJ and overreach,” he said. “I’m not saying there wasn’t a clerical mistake made, but it’s so minor.

“I mean, they have the wrong legal, the wrong aim,” he later added. “I mean, there’s always a mistake because people, we make mistakes, we’re human. It’s not a felony. It’s day-to-day business, but they came after us. They wanted our name. They wanted that up there. Shock and awe. And it just, it is not fair, and it’s certainly not right.

  • Kate Gosselin’s new romance: What to know about former bodyguard turned boyfriend Steve Neild

Kate Gosselin recently revealed that she is dating her former bodyguard Steve Neild.

The 50-year-old reality star turned nurse went Instagram official with Neild last weekend following months of dating rumors between the two and years after allegations that they had an affair while both were married.

On Nov. 8, 2025, Kate posted a slideshow on social media titled “One girl. 10 things I’m obsessed with” — one of which included “My boyfriend 😍” alongside photos of herself with Neild.

In September, Kate shared that she had been in a relationship for “a little over a year” and described her boyfriend as “somebody I’ve known for a really long time.”

Neild was previously employed as a bodyguard and security professional for the Gosselin family during the time of their reality show fame.

The lives of Kate and Jon as well as their children, including sextuplets Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel, now 21, and twin daughters Mady and Cara, now 25, were featured in the hit TLC reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” from 2007 until 2009. Kate and Jon, who married in 1999, announced that they were filing for divorce in 2009. After their split, the show was renamed “Kate Plus 8” and continued airing until 2017.

The same year of their divorce, Kate slammed reports that claimed she had an affair with Neild.

Here’s what to know about Kate’s new beau:

Neild began providing personal security and bodyguard services for the Gosselin family around 2008. He stayed on as Kate’s bodyguard following her divorce from Jon until 2014, according to E! Online. During his time as her bodyguard, Neild was pictured accompanying Kate to TV appearances, interviews and book signings.

From 2013 to 2019, Neild worked as a security and safety consultant for Viacom, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Neild was married for 33 years to his ex-wife Gina Neild before they divorced in 2023, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.

Per the documents, the former couple tied the knot in September 1990 during a ceremony in Auckland, New Zealand.

Neild filed for divorce from Gina in September 2023, stating, “There is no reasonable hope or expectation of reconciliation between the parties.” The two reached a settlement that month and their divorce was finalized in November 2023.

Neild and Gina share sons Kristopher and Michael, per the outlet.

In May 2009, Kate blasted tabloid reports that she was having an affair with Neild. During an interview with People magazine, she said, “The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family.”

“Already the allegations they’re making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified,” she added.

Kate told the outlet that Neild and his family were “people who absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end.”

“Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we’ve spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it’s very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team,” she said. “They’re the only people you have left. And now they’re coming under fire.”

Kate’s ex-husband and estranged son recently claimed the affair rumors were true

After Page Six reported in September that Kate was dating Neild, Jon and son Collin Gosselin claimed the rumors the two were romantically involved in 2009 were true.

The two men took to social media to call out Kate after the report was published. Jon shared posts to his Instagram account, uploading screenshots of articles connecting Kate to Neild. Along with the photos, he wrote, “Guess who really ruined the marriage.”

He added, “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!”

Collin shared his own remarks on the rumors in a series of emotional Instagram posts.

“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room!” he wrote. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”

He continued, “By the way, my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids.’ I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”

While Collin said he’s “not big on the drama” and is busy with college and running a business, he added he couldn’t stay silent on this one.

“I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions,” he wrote.

“Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together.”

He concluded his post with a broken-heart emoji and a message to Jon, “We won’t act reformed when we still feel pain from our past. I love you dad.”

Collin previously said that he and Kate became estranged after she sent him to a behavioral health institution in 2016. After he was released, Collin moved in with Jon, who was granted full custody in 2018. The former couple’s daughter Hannah also moved in with Jon that year.

During an episode of Vice’s “Dark Side of the 2000s,” Collin said that he hadn’t spoken to at least six of his siblings since 2016. Jon also doesn’t have a relationship with the children outside of Collin and Hannah.

  • Kate Gosselin budgets Christmas for 8 kids ‘to the penny’ after losing reality TV fortune

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kate Gosselin is breaking down how she budgets for Christmas as a single mom to eight kids, a system she developed after what she described as a “sickening” financial collapse.

The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star, 50, took to TikTok this week to share the detailed — and highly calculated — system she follows each holiday season, especially in what she calls “good” and “not-so-good” financial years.

Each November, Kate said she asks her kids for detailed gift lists so she can “take advantage of the holiday sales.”

KATE GOSSELIN WORKS GRUELING 12-HOUR NURSING SHIFTS AFTER REALITY TV FORTUNE DISAPPEARS

Kate shares twins Madelyn and Cara, 25, and sextuplets Aaden, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Collin and Hannah, 21, with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin.

Although she’s estranged from Collin and Hannah, Kate didn’t say whether they are included in her holiday budget.

Once the lists come in — complete with “a link, size, color and price” — she adds everything into one large note on her phone before the real number-crunching begins.

She starts with the first list, sets a target budget and tries to match that amount for each of her other children.

But Kate admitted things don’t always go according to plan.

Whenever one child’s list exceeds the limit — a scenario she joked happens “often” with her daughter Leah — she raises the budget for everyone else to match it.

She said her goal is fairness, down to the last cent.

KATE GOSSELIN SLAMS RUMORS SHE STOLE HER CHILDREN’S COLLEGE FUNDS

She’s kept that promise with a decorated box of cash for each child, a holiday tradition inspired by her own mother, Kate told her followers.

“I know that might sound silly, but, to me, fair is really important,” she said.

Some of her children ask for less, which means Kate will cash out more for them.

“Some will get $150 in their box if they don’t ask for much,” she explained. “It tends to work out really well, and the kids are really happy.”

But not every child ends up with the same box.

“Sometimes not everybody gets a square box,” she admitted. “That means I finished your list completely and unavoidably went over a dollar or two, though that usually doesn’t happen.”

She also buys one larger shared gift for all the siblings.

As her children have gotten older — and their tastes more expensive, she pointed out — she admitted Christmas morning now feels too short.

To stretch out the excitement, she wraps everything, even skincare and toiletries in their stockings, just to “slow them down.”

After years of rebuilding her life following reality TV fame, Kate made it clear that, no matter her financial situation, she’s determined to make Christmas work for all eight children — fairly, precisely and down “to the penny.”

Her latest comments come after she’s spoken about working grueling 12-hour nursing shifts following the collapse of her reality TV fortune.

Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON,” she said in her response. “Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for lawyers. It’s okay. I’m helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping!”

  • ‘Golden Bachelor’ star Gerry Turner admits marriage to Theresa Nist was a ‘monumental mistake’

This story discusses suicide. If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, please contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

“Golden Bachelor” star Gerry Turner believed he’d found “the one” in Theresa Nist — but just three months after saying “I do,” the fairy-tale romance came crashing down.

The 74-year-old Indiana widower made history as the first senior star of ABC’s hit dating series “The Golden Bachelor,” where he met Nist, also a widow. After a whirlwind courtship, they married live on TV in January 2024, only to announce their split that April. Now, Turner is reflecting on his search for a happily ever after in his new memoir, “Golden Years.”

“Well, I do admit that it was a monumental mistake, but it’s always easy to have 20/20 hindsight,” Turner told Fox News Digital. “I think that I hurt Theresa, I hurt my family. There were a lot of things that I was so imperfect about. … There was no one flash-bang moment where I realized the marriage was over. It was a gradual march toward the end.”

WATCH: ‘GOLDEN BACHELOR’ GERRY TURNER OPENS UP ABOUT SPLIT FROM THERESA NIST

In his memoir, Turner admits it was hard to accept how quickly things fell apart. He wrote that he’d “rushed into a wedding [he] didn’t believe in” and later found himself “in a very dark place.”

Gerry Turner in a dark blue suit and Theresa Nist in a white sweater with an animal-print skirt as they're both smiling and holding onto each other.

“I was already low from filing for divorce,” wrote Gerry Turner. “It’s hard to admit to yourself that you’ve made such a monumentally bad decision. For months, I could not shake my bitter resentment toward Theresa and the show. Nor could I rid myself of the feeling that I was a disappointment. I didn’t read people nearly as well as I thought I did. I’d rushed into a wedding that I didn’t believe in.” (Eric McCandless/Disney via Getty Images)

Fox News Digital reached out to Nist, 71, for comment. Ahead of the book’s publication, she told Us Weekly: “It makes me very sad to think that he felt empty and trapped. I wish he had said something and just ended it. But at least now I understand why he was so hurtful to me so many times. And I will say this. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. I do wish him all the best.”

Turner, a retired restaurateur, had found love before. He married his high school sweetheart, Toni, in 1974. Their union lasted until Toni died in 2017, six weeks after she retired and fell ill, People magazine reported. Their two daughters later encouraged Turner to join the show. The Midwesterner was hesitant but wondered if he could find love again.

We grew up together and never considered not being together.” (Courtesy of Gerry Turner)

“I was not interested,” Turner recalled to Fox News Digital. “I rebelled at the idea originally. But after a night of sleep, I thought, ‘I’ve got nothing going on here. Hopefully, this’ll work out for me.’ I threw my hat in the ring, and, of course, that began a really long process of getting to the point where I was actually named the first ‘Golden Bachelor.’”

It was easy to fall for Nist among the contestants. They both experienced heartbreak after long, happy marriages. Turner and Nist were also devoted to their children and grandchildren. It seemed like a match made in heaven — at first.

Turner claimed Nist told him that once she found “the right guy,” she would quit her job to focus on a new chapter of adventure with her spouse. But months later, he claimed that Nist wanted to work “another year, maybe a year and a half.” Turner said he respected Nist’s goals but wished he had known sooner.

“I’d try to shorten that time span because I really looked at what I wanted out of that relationship and what she wanted in her job as mutually exclusive,” he explained. “We couldn’t have both of those things. … It really told me that there was no way I was going to be able to enjoy what I wanted to do, which was travel, have some adventures and have fun.”

Disagreements piled up — over where to live, how to spend their money and even the prenup. Turner claimed Nist “didn’t want anything to do with Indiana,” while he viewed her New Jersey roots as a vacation spot, not a home. Days before their wedding, he said his lawyer called frantically about her missing signature on the prenup. People magazine reported that the couple did put a prenup in place ahead of their nuptials.

Despite their efforts to find common ground, once cameras stopped rolling, the cracks deepened.

According to reports, Nist and Turner never lived together. During their brief marriage, they struggled to find a place they could both call home. In the book, Turner wrote that after sharing “a horribly awkward goodbye at the airport,” he realized they had “the warmth of a meeting between distant cousins.” It was not the second act he had envisioned for himself.

“That experience was very painful,” he told Fox News Digital. “There are expectations as you enter a relationship and then enter a marriage. There were things that I really wanted. I wanted those moments of intimacy, regardless of what they were. I wanted to build shared experiences. I wanted to begin to develop this catalog of memories that we would have. And those things didn’t happen. They just weren’t there.”

“It felt empty at times,” he continued. “It felt like we were forcing a relationship and forcing feelings that weren’t coming naturally as they should. I don’t believe it was one huge thing that caused us not to find commonality and not find happiness with each other, but rather dozens of small things that accumulated.”

Turner said he struggled with the truth — that he and Nist just weren’t compatible.

“What made us go forward with the wedding? I think Theresa and I are of the same mind here,” he reflected to Fox News Digital.

“We had a lifetime of commitment to a marital partner. … We knew the importance of commitment. We knew the importance of setting an example for our kids and our grandkids. … We said, ‘We can get to know each other. We can iron out any areas where we don’t know each other well enough. We can make this work.’”

The marriage ended quietly during a private walk in California. They were in town for a function.

“We were trying one last time to see if we could reconcile our differences,” Turner said. “Finally, I just asked, ‘Do you think it’s time to call it quits?’ Her answer, without hesitation, was, ‘Yes, I think it’s time to call it off.’”

Turner later revealed he briefly had suicidal thoughts as he faced online criticism over the divorce.

“One night, while I was lying in bed and staring up at the ceiling, it all became too much, and for the briefest of moments, I thought about putting a gun to my head,” he wrote. “Just as quickly, though, I thought of Jenny and Angie. I could never do that to my daughters, but I don’t believe I truly wanted to kill myself. My suicidal thoughts were more an expression of my desire to disappear.”

“That was just a brief thought,” Turner clarified to Fox News Digital.

“I didn’t have any great expectations for Theresa or any of the other women when I shared what was going on with me, but to be that insignificant to someone I had married, albeit briefly, was very painful,” he wrote. “We no longer talk; we have no reason to.”

Today, Turner is feeling hopeful about his future — and love. In October, he announced his engagement to his new girlfriend, Lana Sutton. He popped the question 15 months after his divorce was finalized.

“I refer to it as my marathon mentality, that you can endure anything for a certain period of time. And then, once that enduring of pain or unhappiness is over, it’s time to pick yourself up, put your big boy pants on and move on with life. And that’s what it was. I just had to shift gears.”

  • NASA pushes back after Kim Kardashian claims moon landing was fake during reality show appearance

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kim Kardashian doesn’t believe America made it to the moon in 1969, and NASA is hitting back.

On the most recent episode of “The Kardashians,” the reality TV star attempted to convince Sarah Paulson the moon landing never happened.

On Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins became the first humans on the moon in 1969. The flight was a defining moment in the space race between America and the Soviet Union.

Only 12 men, all Americans, have walked on the moon.

KIM KARDASHIAN SAYS SOMEONE ‘EXTREMELY CLOSE’ TO HER PUT OUT A HIT ON HER LIFE

“I’m sending you, so far, a million articles with both Buzz Aldrin and … the other one,” she told Paulson, referring to Neil Armstrong.

“Yes, do it,” Paulson said on the episode that aired Thursday night.

“This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could’ve been scary, but it wasn’t, cause it didn’t happen,’” Kardashian said.

According to Kardashian, the astronaut has “gotten old” and makes mistakes when discussing the famous moon landing.

“So, I think it didn’t happen,” Kardashian concluded.

Paulson, Kardashian’s “All’s Fair” co-star, admitted Kardashian’s take on the moon landing made her take a “massive deep dive.” During a confessional moment of the reality show, Kardashian admitted she sends Paulson “conspiracies all the time.”

A producer of the show followed up with Kardashian when she was back in her trailer and asked her if she believed astronauts made it to the moon.

“I don’t think we did. I think it was fake.”

Kardashian continued to defend her claim.

“Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn’t happen? There’s no gravity on the moon. Why is the flag blowing? The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon [have] a different [foot]print than the photos. Why are there no stars?” she asked.

On Thursday, NASA acting Administrator Sean Duffy took to X, formerly Twitter, to reassure Kardashian that, yes, Americans have made it to the moon.

“Yes, Kim Kardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… 6 times!” he wrote, tagging the star. Duffy explained that, thanks to President Donald Trump, America is back in the space race with NASA Artemis.

“And even better: @NASAArtemis is going back under the leadership of @POTUS. We won the last space race and we will win this one too,” Duffy wrote alongside the clip of Kardashian and Paulson on the reality show.

Kardashian replied to Duffy’s post, “Wait…. what’s the tea on 3I Atlas?!?!!!!!!!?????”

  • Former ‘Bachelor’ host Chris Harrison finds Hollywood escape in Texas after controversy derailed career

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Chris Harrison has found that “Austin is the new Hollywood” after fleeing Los Angeles.

Harrison moved to Austin, Texas, after permanently stepping away from his role as the host of “The Bachelor” franchise. The reality TV show host left the job in 2021 after defending contestant Rachael Kirkconnell, who came under fire for attending a plantation-themed fraternity party years prior. The move turned out to be a blessing for Harrison, who has felt a sense of relief since leaving the dating show.

“I mean, what I love most about the new chapter is the fact that Austin is the new Hollywood, which means the opportunities are a plenty here,” he told People magazine.

“There is so much tech, music, food, entertainment, theater,” Harrison added. “It’s all happening here. And it reminds me of what Hollywood was built on, which is anything and everything is possible if everybody will just come in with an honest, open heart and mind and just wanna do some fun work together.”

Harrison bought an Austin-area home in 2020 after making his big move. Three years later, he married entertainment reporter Lauren Zima.

“We’ve met so many incredible people from all around the world, from all different industries that just want to collaborate and do great things,” he explained. “And it’s so exciting to be a part of.”

“The energy is truly palpable in this city right now, and it’s just fun to jump in and go with the flow.”

Harrison, who led “The Bachelor” and a handful of spinoff series for 19 years, said he has felt a sense of relief since stepping off the “merry-go-round” that his life was on at the time.

“You know, when you do something every single day for two decades, and it’s so popular around the world, there is a pressure to that, and there’s a spotlight and a microscope that you don’t even realize you’re under until you kinda get off that merry-go-round,” Harrison explained.

“And it was this kind of angst when I first got off, because I mean, ‘Oh, well, I gotta get back on. I gotta go back to work,’ or… And then I kind of took a deep breath, and you dropped your shoulders, and I think, you know, obviously falling in love definitely helped. Moving to Austin definitely helped kind of relieve that and realize, ‘Wow, there’s a whole other world out here to dive into.’ And so it has been a wonderful break and relief.”

  • Kylie Jenner faces backlash over handcuffed jail promo video for new cosmetics launch

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kylie Jenner’s promo for her new King Kylie Cosmetics collection has fans divided, with critics describing it as “deeply out of touch.”

On Sunday, the 28-year-old reality star posted a short clip on Instagram in which she was seen handcuffed as she strutted down a jail hallway while flanked by two police officers.

Jenner donned a black leather bra and matching micro shorts that had hanging silver chains attached at the hips. She accessorized with black fishnet tights and chunky silver jewelry along with a pair of black slingback pumps.

The video concluded as the screen cut to black and a woman was heard whispering “King Kylie” while the words “King Kylie. Tomorrow” flashed across the screen.

Jenner’s new makeup collection is a callback to the rebellious “King Kylie” persona that she popularized during the mid 2010s that helped launch her early brand identity. At the time, Jenner became known for her edgy, experimental looks, especially after dyeing her hair blue.

The time period coincided with the 2015 launch of her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, which she built into a beauty empire.

After Jenner shared the teaser, fans and some of her famous friends flocked to the comments section of her post to express their excitement over her new collection.

“exactly,” Hailey Bieber wrote while Lauren Sánchez Bezos added a raised hands emoji. One fan wrote, “KING KYLIE IS BACK,” with another writing: “We’re back.”

However, online critics vented their fury in a thread on Reddit, slamming the model for the imagery she used amid the ongoing ICE raids and renewed debate over policing and immigration enforcement.

“The country’s boiling over, citizens being dragged off by rogue badge hungry rent-a-cops, and Kylie Jenner drops a handcuffed hot-pants photoshoot to promote COSMETICS. This isn’t satire; it’s American rot,” wrote one Reddit user alongside a screengrab from the promo.

“She is out of touch,” another agreed.

“lol as if she could ever comprehend what the people she cosplays as are going thru,” one critic added. “this is insanely disgusting, and i didnt even think about how deeply out of touch this was til i read your title for this post. you’re so right.”

Other Reddit users criticized Jenner for reviving her “King Kylie” branding, noting it followed the recent “No Kings” protests against perceived authoritarianism under the Trump administration.

“To add to this, does anyone else find it odd that there have been ‘No Kings’ protests around the country, and she drops a shoot called ‘King Kylie’ with the associated imagery mentioned by OP [original poster]?” one commenter wrote.

Fans quickly slammed the ad as tone-deaf and exploitative. Within 48 hours, Pepsi pulled the campaign and apologized, admitting it had “missed the mark.”

Jenner later tearfully addressed the incident on an episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” saying she felt “so f—– stupid.”

“the outrage over this should compare kendall’s pepsi campaign…. like it’s that all over again….” another agreed.

  • Commentary: They cuffed and tackled Sen. Alex Padilla. But he sees a bigger crisis ahead

    [ad_1]

California Sen. Alex Padilla is among the highest-ranking Latinos in U.S. politics today, but it took a pair of handcuffs to make him famous.

How’s that for a comment on America 2025?

Padilla, you may remember, was tackled and cuffed by federal officers after attempting to ask a question of Homeland Security Czarina Kristi Noem at an L.A. news conference in June, when the National Guard first made its appearance on our streets. Noem later claimed Padilla “lunged” at her — which he did not — using the classic Trumpian technique of erasing reality with blame, especially when it comes to brown people.

Padilla told me that “from day one of this administration, I have tried to speak truth to power,” and if getting tackled forced people to “have no choice but to now start paying attention … that could be helpful, because the general public knows it’s wrong.”

U.S. Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi recycled the incident on Tuesday when Padilla attempted to question her during a congressional hearing, voicing concern about the weaponization of the Department of Justice. Bondi refused to answer multiple questions, instead invoking the Noem defense.

“I find it interesting that you want order … in this proceeding now,” Bondi said. “You sure didn’t have order when you stormed Secretary Noem at a press conference in California, did you?”

Again, no storming, no lunging, not even a feint. Really, if anything can be said of Padilla, it’s that he’s a guy who likes order. An MIT-trained engineer, he’s known for being calm to the point of boring — in the best of ways. Who wouldn’t want a bit of boring in their politics today, if it’s seasoned with compassion and common sense?

Calm, of course, does not mean a lack of conviction. As the government shutdown limps to the end of its first full week, Padilla took a few minutes to fill me in on why Democrats shouldn’t back down, and why he won’t — whether the issue is healthcare, immigration or the collision of the two, which is at the heart of this shutdown.

Republicans would like voters to believe that undocumented immigrants are throwing parties in our emergency rooms, racking up free services while shoving U.S. citizens out to the sidewalk. In reality, there’s not a lot of good data on how many ER visits involve undocumented folks because doctors are more focused on saving lives than checking immigration status. But one Texas study found that about 2% of all hospital visits in a three-month period involved people without documentation. That’s in a state with a high number of undocumented folks, so take it for what it’s worth — hardly a scourge.

Padilla and Democrats would like to stay focused on an actual crisis — healthcare premiums for low- and middle-income folks are about to skyrocket in coming weeks if Congress doesn’t keep the Obama-era subsidies that make the premiums affordable. Padilla wants voters to understand how dire this is.

“This is not a what-might-happen-next-year concern … this is a now concern,” Padilla told me.

“Open enrollment is opening,” he said. “People are setting their premiums and have to make choices of where to sign up for healthcare and at the cost right now, and so it does need to be immediately addressed.”

In case you think this is partisan show, far-right MAGA cheerleader Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) agrees with Padilla. That’s when you know things are getting weird.

“Not a single Republican in leadership talked to us about this or has given us a plan to help Americans deal with their health insurance premiums DOUBLING!!!” Greene wrote on social media, breaking with her party on the issue.

That’s about the only thing that Padilla and Greene may ever agree on. Padilla is the son of immigrants who met in L.A. and later obtained legal status. He was born in Southern California, making birthright citizenship core to his identity at a moment when Trump is asking the Supreme Court to end it. His isn’t just an immigrant story, it’s a California story, and it’s never far from his mind.

He was recently asked if he regretted fighting with the Biden administration over proposed immigration reform that lacked pathways for immigrants, especially Dreamers and others who have been in the United States for years if not decades, to become citizens. Would it have been better to sell them out, leave them in limbo, but fix the border before Trump could exploit it?

“Of course not,” Padilla told me. Rather than shrink under attack, Padilla said he’s holding his ground.

California is one of a handful of states that does in fact offer healthcare to undocumented people, though budget shortfalls forced Gov. Gavin Newsom to scale back that plan.

No federal dollars are used for that undocumented healthcare — it’s solely state money. And Padilla supports it.

“There are some states that choose to use state funding to provide that care, and I agree with that, because it’s much smarter, from a public health standpoint, to help prevent people from getting sick or treat people early on, not administer healthcare, certainly not primary care, through emergency rooms,” he said.

Padilla said it’s rich that the very workers deemed essential during the coronavirus pandemic, the workers who kept food on tables, deliveries going, and cared for our young and our elderly, are now “the primary target of Trump’s massive deportation agenda. So whether it’s in the vein of the healthcare question, whether it’s in the vein of the indiscriminate raids by ICE and other federal agencies, that’s the cruel irony.”

The Trump administration raised Padilla’s profile inadvertently, but the newfound fame has had a somewhat unexpected consequence: Frequent speculation that he may run for governor when Newsom terms out in 2026.

Padilla said he hasn’t “made a decision on that and not making any announcements right now.”

Instead, he’s focusing on helping to pass California’s Proposition 50, which would rig election maps to potentially create five more Democratic seats in the midterm elections, with the hopes of taking control of at least one house of Congress, an effort he says is “critical to reining in this out-of-control administration.”

After praising the sexy photos that Stewart shared over the summer, “Today” show co-host Jenna Bush Hager asked Stewart, “Who slid into your DMs with these traps?”

However, Stewart confirmed that she is currently single, telling Bush Hager and “Today” co-host Rosie Perez, “No, I’m not dating anybody special.”

“But I have lots of friends, and my friends keep me happy,” she added with a coy smile.

The homemaking guru has embraced her sexuality in recent years after she began posting her thirst traps at age 78.

Stewart’s sexy selfie spree began in July 2020 when she posted a sultry poolside snap on Instagram.

In the image, Stewart was seen emerging from her pool while wearing a black bathing suit. The TV personality rocked frosty pink lipstick, shimmery eyeshadow and mascara on as she pouted her lips at the camera.

“My pool in East Hampton is the place to be on a 89 degree day!” she captioned the photo.

“After all these years, It is a fun place to swim!!!” Stewart added.

Stewart’s provocative photo stunned fans, who praised the cookbook author’s youthful appearance and deemed the snap a “thirst trap” — a photo meant to show off one’s sexier side.

Stewart later revealed that she had received an outpouring of attention after the image went viral.

“I got so many proposals and so many propositions,” Stewart said during a 2021 appearance on “The Ellen Show.” “But I had to ignore all of them. I’m a very busy person.”

Since her original “thirst trap,” the entrepreneur has continued to up the ante by frequently posting sexy shots. While speaking with People magazine in 2023, Stewart explained that she was inspired by her famous photo, which she recalled was the result of a happy accident.

“I was trying to take a picture of the beautiful turquoise planter at the end of the pool, but the camera was on me, so I just snapped it,” Stewart told the outlet.

“It looked so good, so I posted it,” she continued. “I didn’t know what a ‘thirst trap’ was, but now I do. Now I’m looking for the next thirst trap. I love doing those promiscuous, provocative things, because it’s just fun.”

Stewart’s cultivation of her bombshell image has led to other endorsement deals and opportunities. In May 2023, Stewart made history as the oldest person to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue. The then-81-year-old posed in a daring white one-piece with a plunging neckline and a burnt orange cover-up draped around her shoulders.

During her recent appearance on “Today,” Stewart, who celebrated her birthday last month, made it clear that she had no interest in discussing her age.

“We need to wish you a happy birthday, you just turned 84,” Bush Hager told Stewart.

“Ugh, why do we need to talk about that?” Stewart quipped before changing the subject.

  • Hilaria Baldwin scores ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after bumpy journey to reality TV fame

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Hilaria Baldwin has been in the spotlight for over a decade, starting as a rising Boston native who rose to fame as a yoga instructor and television personality. Now, Alec Baldwin’s wife has landed her latest gig on “Dancing with the Stars.”

She joins a list of other stars, including Danielle Fishel, Dylan Efron, influencer Alix Earle and “Mormon Wives” stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck. Hilaria is partnered with Gleb Savchenko for season 34.

Speaking to USA Today ahead of the show’s premiere, Hilaria addressed her critics: “Everybody these days has their critics, whether they’re in the spotlight or not. I’ve learned in my 40s that if you go through life trying to prove things to people, then you’re missing the point and you’re missing being present.”

Over the years, Hilaria has faced controversy, including her Spanish heritage scandal. Her husband, Alec, was charged with involuntary manslaughter – the case was later dismissed – after his involvement in the fatal 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

“You collect the good and the bad in life along the way,” she told the outlet. “We’re all looking forward.”

ALEC BALDWIN CRIES OVER DEADLY ‘RUST’ SHOOTING IN REALITY SHOW TRAILER

Prior to the announcement, Hilaria shared dancing videos with Alec online, sparking speculation among her fans that she would join the reality competition dancing show.

“I’ve been enjoying all this manifesting. I see in my comments there’s, like, a lot of people manifesting. It’s been a lot of fun manifesting. Let’s continue to manifest,” Hilaria told Extra last month.

Hilaria has been a ballroom dancer since she was a child, per USA Today. “I didn’t know if I belonged in this space,” she told the outlet. “For years I’ve been saying: ‘I’ve got a lot of experience. Is that a problem?’ Apparently it’s not.” According to Hilaria, Alec had urged her to reach out to the show for years.

Hilaria began dating Alec in 2011. In an interview with The New York Times in 2012, she revealed that the actor didn’t ask for her phone number when he saw her at a New York City restaurant. Instead, he gave her his card and told her to call him.

“I was standing near the door with my friends when he walked up and took my hand and said, ‘I must know you,’” she told the outlet. Hilaria called Alec, but got his voicemail. A few days later, the pair went on a date and shortly after, they tied the knot in June 2012.

After the pair married – and following a hip injury from dancing years earlier – Hilaria “closed the door on that part of my life,” she told USA Today. “I started focusing on yoga, met Alec, and we started having kids. My body is different now.”

In 2016, the yoga enthusiast debuted her book “The Living Clearly Method,” which focuses on Hilaria’s “five simple principles” to get through any situation. Hilaria’s background in yoga and wellness led to her appearances on TV shows and more.

However, with the increased spotlight on her, controversy eventually followed.

In 2020, Hilaria was in the middle of a firestorm after a Twitter thread went viral, and she was accused of faking her Spanish heritage once it was revealed that she was a Boston native.

At the time, Hilaria revealed that she and her husband were raising their children with a mix of American and Spanish heritage, and they were raising them to be bilingual. Hilaria was born and raised in Boston, but spent parts of her childhood in Spain. Her parents currently reside in Mallorca.

However, Hilaria has seemingly claimed she was born in Mallorca, Spain, and raised in Boston. She explained on a podcast in April 2020, “I moved here [to America] when I was 19 to go to NYU from… my family lives in Spain, they live in Mallorca.”

Hilaria was also criticized for allegedly faking her Spanish accent, as critics pointed out that it noticeably fluctuated over the years when she made appearances on TV.

In one damning clip from the “Today” show in 2015, Hilaria was a guest on the show for the “People en Espanol festival in New York City,” according to the video’s description. Hilaria, a yoga instructor and fitness expert at the time, was joined by Telemundo host Evi Siskos to cook her “simple gazpacho.”

In the clip, Hilaria appears to confuse her English and Spanish. “We have very few ingredients — we have tomatoes, we have, um, how do you say in English?” she asked Siskis. “Cucumber!”

During her 2020 podcast appearance, Hilaria said she was simply nervous being on live TV and had a “brain fart.”

That same year, she did an interview with The New York Times and clarified information that was floating around online.

“The things I have shared about myself are very clear,” Baldwin said. “I was born in Boston. I spent time in Boston and in Spain. My family now lives in Spain. I moved to New York when I was 19 years old and I have lived here ever since. For me, I feel like I have spent 10 years sharing that story over and over again. And now it seems like it’s not enough.”

“I was born in Boston. I spent time in Boston and in Spain. My family now lives in Spain. I moved to New York when I was 19 years old and I have lived here ever since.”

Although she denied ever lying about being born in the United States, Hilaria issued an apology on Instagram in 2021.

“My parents raised my brother and me with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a true sense of belonging to both. The way I’ve spoken about myself and my deep connection to two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been more clear and I’m sorry. I’m proud of the way I was raised, and we’re raising our children to share the same love and respect for both,” she captioned her post.

Shortly following the scandal, Hilaria and Alec teamed up for their podcast, “What’s One More?” which focused on family and philanthropy.

The podcast took a pause after Alec’s involvement in the tragic “Rust” shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The involuntary manslaughter charges against him were dropped by a judge in July 2024.

This year, the TLC reality show, “The Baldwins” was released on Feb. 23. The eight-episode season highlighted the Baldwins and their seven children. In the first episode, the family relocates to the Hamptons for the summer as Alec prepares for the criminal trial in New Mexico.

Hilaria also brought up her Spanish accent scandal in the premiere episode.

“I love English, I also love Spanish, and when I mix the two it doesn’t make me inauthentic, and when I mix the two, that makes me normal,” she said in a confessional, as quoted by People magazine

“I’d be lying if I said [the controversy] didn’t make me sad, and it didn’t hurt, and it didn’t put me in dark places,” Hilaria admitted.

“But it was my family, my friends, my community who speak multiple languages, who have belonged in multiple places and realize that we are a mix of all these different things and that’s going to have an impact on how we sound and an impact on how we articulate things and the words that we choose and our mannerisms.”

“That’s normal,” she added. “That’s called being human.”
