To make the occasion even more special, he hosted a grand birthday bash in Mumbai, which was attended by several Bollywood celebs. After the party, the special Love & War trio Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt stirred the internet as the camaraderie between Sanju duo Ranbir and Vicky was caught on camera as they shared a warm hug before leaving.

    A video has been ruling the internet from last night’s veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday bash. The viral video features the bromance between Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal which has stirred the internet. Actually, in a video shared by the paps, after the party Bhansali and Vicky can be seen discussing something while Ranbir and Alia come into the picture. Furthermore, the Sanju duo hugged each other tightly while the director and Jigra actress were standing next to them.

    In addition to this, Ranbir and Vicky were also seen leaving the party together in the same car and share a good laugh.

    It is worth mentioning that earlier this year in January, the historic Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya was attended by Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif amongst other big Bollywood celebs. Several candid photos and videos of them had stirred the internet.

    On the professional front, after Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju which was released in 2018, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will be reuniting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love&War which will also star Alia Bhatt as the leading lady. The official announcement was made in the last week of January. The film is slated to hit the theaters next year on Christmas 2025.

    A source close to the development had exclusively shared with Pinkvilla that, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been fascinated to make a pure love story that stands the test of time and this one falls right in the zone. It’s a timeless love story with three principal characters played by Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky.”

    According to the source, the director is expected to take the film on floors around November 2024 with a marathon schedule. Set against the backdrop of war, the film will be a homage by SLB to the 1964 classic, Sangam directed by Raj Kapoor.

    Rajkumar Hirani was supposed to direct 12th Fail initially

    The team of 12th Fail was present and they spoke to the media. During the interaction, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra made a big revelation. He said that initially, it was Rajkumar Hirani who was supposed to direct the movie. However, later he took up the movie.     He revealed that initially when Manoj Kumar Sharma approached him with the book on his life seeking blurb for the book. He further said that he informed Manoj that if he found the book ineffective, then he would have to publish it too even if that meant labeling it as nonsense.

    Later, on Manoj’s request Vidhu Vinod Chopra agreed to share the book with Sachin Tendulkar and Rajkumar Hirani. After six months, when Manoj Sharma returned to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, he told him that he got support from Sachin Tendulkar and Rajkumar Hirani and that he approached Rajkumar Hirani and asked if he would consider directing the film.

    However, Rajkumar Hirani told him that he was already writing a film and hence, Vidhu Vinod Chopra had to direct the movie. Vidhu Vinod Chopra earned the Best Director award at the Filmfare 2024. Vikrant Massey also won his first Filmfare awards for the Best Actor (Critics) category. 12th Fail also won awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Editing at the Filmfare awards 2024.

    Indian film industry is gearing up for the clash of the year with Salaar Vs Dunki. Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s film will take on the combo of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. There is a massive difference in the budget of the movies. Salaar is made on a budget of Rs 400 crores while Dunki’s production costs are close to Rs 95 crores maximum. In fact, it is one of the recent SRK films with a minimal budget. Trade experts feel that both films will lose business to the extent of 30 per cent due to the clash.     A look at Salaar’s breakeven numbers in clash with Dunki

    Salaar has been sold to distributors on a NRA basis. It needs to make Rs 800 crores gross worldwide to breakeven. As per Track Tollywood, rights of Salaar have been sold at Rs 65 crores in Telangana and it needs to collect Rs 100 crore gross. We have heard how the makers hoped for more money but distributors were skeptical. Whereas in the state of Andhra Pradesh, it should collect Rs 150 crores gross. The Telugu belt is Prabhas’ strong zone. Salaar needs Rs 250 cr gross from there to break even. Salaar has been sold in above Rs 65 crores in the other South states. As per their estimate, it needs close to Rs 400 cr from South India only.     Salaar business overseas

    It seems Salaar has been sold for Rs 75 cr including publicity for print costs. The money needs Rs 150 cr gross from overseas to recover its business. The numbers are staggering if you consider that it is clashing with Dunki and Aquaman 2. Dunki has taken the lead in bookings in North India.

    Vijay Kiragandur said that Hombale Films followed the advice of its astrologer and decided on the date of December 21, 2023. Many had thought they would opt for a better date given that Dunki had announced its a year ago.

    Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got engaged today in a ceremony at the Ambani residence, Antilia. As per a statement released by the family, the Ambanis, along with their close friends and family attended the engagement ceremony. It was a traditional ceremony with Gujarati Hindu rituals such as Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi.

    According to the statement, Isha Ambani and other members of the Ambani family visited Radhika’s family home to formally invite them. The couple, along with their families, then headed to the temple to seek Lord Krishna’s blessings. The main ceremony began with Ganesh puja, and it was followed by Gol Dhana, and Chunari Vidhi.

    Indian Express reported that the family members performed a surprise dance number, and it was led by Nita Ambani. Post the rituals, the couple exchanged rings.

    Rajkumar Hirani aka Raju Hirani doesn’t need any introduction. He is one of the most successful directors in the Hindi film industry. He made his directorial debut in 2003 with the comedy film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. It starred Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Gracy Singh, Jimmy Sheirgill and Sunil Dutt. The film received a tremendous response from the audience. It also won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film and earned Hirani his first Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay and a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Director.

    Always wanted to become an actor

    Not many know that Raju always dreamt of being an actor. His poor marks and acting charades in front of the mirror, pushed his father, Suresh to get his portfolio shot. He lent Raju money to apply for an acting school in Mumbai.

    Editing course

    Raju opted for the editing course and earned a scholarship. He gradually established himself as a director and producer of advertising films. He was also seen in a Fevicol ad where men and elephants were trying to pull and break a Fevicol plank.

    First opportunity

    He took a break from advertising and started working with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He worked on promos and trailers for 1942: A Love Story and even edited promotions for Kareeb. He finally got his first opportunity as a film editor with Mission Kashmir.

    To note, Rajkumar has announced his next film Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan Taapsee Pannu which will release theatrically on 22 December 2023 during the Christmas season.
