  • RHOBH’s Amanda Frances Slams Dorit for Continuing Drama After Revealing Son’s Death Anniversary as Dorit Speaks Out, Plus Kyle Suggests Dorit is ‘Self-Centered’

    Credit: Instagram

Amanda Frances called out Dorit Kemsley for her refusal to move on from their drama after she shared the anniversary date of her son’s death on Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After admitting that she was “hanging on by a thread” at a dinner party hosted by Rachel Zoe, 54, due to the tragic loss of one of her twins in 2022, Amanda, 41, slammed Dorit, 49, for continuing to discuss the issue she had with her, as Kyle Richards, 57, suggested Dorit was self-centered and Dorit attempted to defend herself, alleging that it was Amanda who wouldn’t drop the conversation and targeting her delivery.

“I’m having a hard time gathering my thoughts because I’m distracted because [of] the day it is, but also, it doesn’t make sense,” Amanda recalled on the January 22 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “I just feel like I have to tell her what’s going on.”

Although Amanda thought that it was important to explain why she was overly emotional during their encounter, she didn’t feel that Dorit, who was upset about Amanda’s comments regarding her public statements about Paul “PK Kemsley, 58, amid their divorce, offered the correct response.

“It was very confusing because I’m thinking, ‘I told you this.’ So an appropriate response is, ‘Oh my god, I had no idea, I’m sorry.’ Drop it. But it’s like I’m still trying to figure out what the hell she’s talking about. And she’s still talking about it,” Amanda shared. “I was still trying to place what the f*ck she was saying and what exactly she was accusing me of.  I was still sorting it. I do remember saying, ‘Do you mean Kyle? Do you mean [Kathy Hilton]’s?’ I could not figure out what she was asking me because we were still taking one sentence at Kathy’s fully out of context of a whole night that wasn’t about her.”

“Get used to it,” Kyle replied, seemingly in regard to Dorit’s inability to think of others.

According to Amanda, she can’t imagine anyone, “especially” a mother, having any other response than to drop the conversation.

Speaking out in her own segment, Dorit said that Amanda’s reveal about her late son “literally took [her] breath away.”

“Obviously, I had no idea. I remember thinking, one, [I] would’ve never got into this conversation, initiated it, had I known,” she insisted. “I’m a mother. That’s a mother’s worst nightmare. I can only imagine.”

Still, as Dorit recalled, she felt that Amanda was strategic in her delivery.

“It felt very designed to stop me in my tracks,” she stated. “I had said to her, ‘Listen, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know. We can have the conversation another time, and then she started carrying on with the conversation. And by the way, she did that a few times.”

Elsewhere on the RHOBH: After Show, Rachel suggested that while “Dorit did the best she could in that situation,” she likely wouldn’t have gone to the dinner herself.

“If it’s me, I’m not coming to dinner that night. Or, at the very least, I’m saying to who’s inviting [me], ‘That’s a really hard day for me. I don’t know if I can come,’” she shared.

And Jennifer Tilly, 67, agreed, saying, “If it’s such a horrific thing for her, maybe she shouldn’t have even shown up to the party that night.”

Jennifer also stated that she didn’t feel that Amanda should have had to give her castmates a heads-up, as Sutton Stracke, 54, weighed in.

“I think Amanda could’ve given us a simple, ‘You know what, guys? Today’s the anniversary of the death of my baby, and so it’s going to be an especially emotional evening. I may or may not come,’ or something like that so we could’ve been a bit more gentle. And we would have been,” she reasoned.

As for Amanda, she said she didn’t “send out a memo” since she didn’t expect to have to guard or defend herself at a dinner party.

“I don’t expect to go to a dinner party, and [have] someone aggressively confront me about something they heard … And you got to remember: At this point, I’m still praying for Dorit. I’m like, worried about her. I’m actively concerned,” she noted.

  • RHOBH’s Kyle Richards Shades Sutton as “Condescending ”Over Comment to Amanda as Amanda Recalls Attitude and Sutton Speaks Out, Plus Erika Defends Sutton

    Credit: Bravo

Kyle Richards labeled Sutton Stracke “condescending” due to the “missy” comment she made to Amanda Frances on Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After a tense dinner amid their group trip to Sedona, Amanda, 40, woke up to Sutton, 54, seemingly holding a grudge against her due to a comment she made in regard to her former assistant Avi Gabay potentially threatening to spill dirt. Looking back, Amanda reflected on the bad “vibes” between them.

“It wasn’t like, ‘Oh how dare she;’ it was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Who is she thinking I am and what is she thinking I’m doing?’ Like, why are we ‘Hey missy’-ing in the kitchen … at like 8 am?” Amanda wondered on the January 15 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “It had an attitude, and it felt like the vibes [were] going all wrong for us right then.”

“It feels condescending, absolutely,” Kyle agreed. “It’s definitely not an endearing term … She thought she had something up your sleeve, for sure.”

While Sutton and Amanda weren’t in a good place in Sedona, things have improved between them since then.

“I think she knows me now. I think she knows that I don’t come in with agendas,” Amanda noted.

“She knows now,” Kyle clarified. “But in that moment I think she thought, oh she knows more or is going to say more or was going to do something … She didn’t trust you.”

Months after the scene was shot, Amanda said Sutton’s reaction to her claim about Avi made “a little more sense.”

“At the time I’m just thinking, ‘Whoa, whoa.’ But I’m also thinking, ‘You told us you wanted to be Sutton Brown.’ And I’m so invested in personal development. It’s like my whole job. I’m so invested in the idea that people can grow and change. She tells us she wants to turn over a new leaf, and then she’s, ‘Hey missy’ing me, and I’m like, ’It’s not congruent,’” she explained.

As Sutton admitted she was being “sassy,” Jennifer Tilly, 67, said she’d previously used the term on Sutton, and Kathy Hilton, 66, said Sutton called her “missy” all the time. Meanwhile, Rachel Zoe, 54, said she’d be “really upset” if someone called her “missy” and Erika Jayne, 54, noted that there were “a hell of a lot worse things to call people than ‘missy.’”

“It’s kind of a love thing,” Kathy reasoned as Jennifer pointed out that “tone” had a lot to do with it.

“Everything depends on tone,” agreed Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48. “I think the way that Sutton said, yes, I would be offended, but also, Amanda called it to herself. So she kind of deserved it.”

“It is, it’s the tone,” Dorit Kemsley, 49, replied.

Erika also noted that Sutton was being threatened as she defended her “missy” comment.

“Think about what was being said to Sutton. I mean, you’re basically telling her that the man that worked for her, that was really close to her, was going to tell secrets and then you’re upset that she called you missy? That’s pretty out of balance. I don’t find that offensive,” she stated, adding, “What Amanda was saying was far more damaging than ‘missy.’”

  • RHOBH Recap: Amanda Claims Sutton’s Ex- Assistant Avi is Ready to Spill Her Dirt, Sutton Snaps at Jennifer as Jennifer’s Frustrations With Sutton Lead Her to Speculate About Garcelle’s Exit

Amanda is working overtime trying to rile Sutton up on this episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sutton can immediately tell Amanda’s character once she brings up Avi and though Sutton tries to act unaffected, anyone can tell she is p*ssed. The Sedona trip is not quite the vacation these ladies are used to, but in the end, Sutton embraces finally becoming part of the “in crowd,” I mean group.

Sutton Brown has entered this episode- a newer, more chill version of the Sutton we once knew, or so she says.  An outing is planned to the vortex (translation: a center of energy in the Earth), so the outdoorsy girls can enjoy the energy hub and explore meditation.

Naturally, Rachel simply cannot attend because she has no footwear for the expedition.  Instead, she opts to stay back and shop.  She is joined by Dorit and Bozoma, while Kathy (and her fans) hang back to rest.

The Sedona shopping scene (or lack thereof, according to Amanda) is quirky and they enjoy kaleidoscopes until they get bored and find a wine room.

Kyle, Jennifer, Sutton, Amanda, and Erika hop out of their pink Jeeps and take the 1.5 mile hike to the vortex in hopes of finding the perfect spot for meditation.  For a moment, I thought we were going to lose Jennifer, but she pushed herself (and her cowboy boots) and made it to the area. While some are in awe, Erika would prefer doing mushrooms to get the same effect.

As they sit, Kyle and Erika chat about the recent Dorit updates. Kyle understands that Dorit does not appreciate her doubting behavior and her tendency to stick up for PK. Erika suggests that Kyle stop talking about PK altogether, especially since lines are getting blurred.  Kyle’s ex, Mauricio, is still very close with PK, so Kyle hears that side of things, too. According to Mo, it appears as though Dorit is blocking PK’s ability to see the kids.  Kyle’s involvement is getting messy.

Over some wine, Dorit tells the other ladies that she does not feel supported by Kyle. Boz wonders if Kyle is having a hard time because Dorit is not letting her in. But Rachel reminds Dorit that your girls should always have your back, so when Kyle did the “maybe he did or he didn’t” schtick about PK, it seemed odd. Dorit is sick of Kyle’s actions and words not lining up.

Later, the ladies are cooking a late-night dinner! Kathy is whipping up pasta primavera while the rest of the group takes their time to join, especially Boz, who is having a hard time keeping up with her IVF injections.

Amanda seeks Kyle out for some advice- aka sh*t talk. Amanda’s friend was out and some guy started talking about Sutton. This man, who was allegedly Avi, told Amanda’s friend, “Tell Amanda to call me and I’ll spill all the real dirt about Sutton.” This makes Kyle wonder why Sutton is so mysterious about the break up with Avi.  What is Sutton trying to hide?  They decide that Sutton should probably know that Avi is out here running his mouth about her.

At 10 pm, Dorit meanders in. Dinner is still not close to getting done at 10:49 pm…mainly because Sutton is in charge of cooking the chicken and Sutton is late. Amanda voices her opinion on Sutton’s tardiness and when Sutton FINALLY enters, she explains she needed to take some time for herself.

Sutton absolutely should have brought in a personal chef because this is chaos.  While they wait for the meal to be done, Amanda claims Kyle “encouraged” her to talk to Sutton about what she heard.  Amanda relays the story to Sutton and adds that Avi also apparently said, “tell Amanda to hire me as her assistant. That would really p*ss Sutton off.” Sutton remains cool as a cucumber and Amanda looks almost mad that she did not make Sutton crack.

Jennifer explains she thought the Avi and Sutton break-up was temporary, mainly because when she talked to Avi, that’s what HE relayed. Sutton states that this Amanda situation does not affect her in any way.

It’s 11:46 pm, the dinner is still not ready and Amanda is STILL going on about Avi. Clearly the first time it didn’t cause Sutton to flinch and so Amanda is trying for round II. Sutton is unclear what Amanda is trying to do and she gets some advice from a very supportive Dorit. She explains that her life was “going in a direction” she didn’t like.  She spoke to her mom and Sutton realized that her anger from her failed marriage got pushed on other people. Now, Sutton is ready to be a good friend and a good person.

At 12:48 am, dinner is finally served.

The next morning, Erika enjoys an 11:30 margarita and Amanda realizes that she is on Sutton’s sh*t list now, especially after talking about her being late to dinner the night before (thanks to Jennifer coming through and making Sutton aware of Amanda’s smack talking). Amanda continues her pick-me behavior and explains to Rachel and Boz that with her husband, “I make in a month what he makes in a year.”

Erika is sick of Amanda trying to “stunt in front” of them and does not appreciate Amanda taking work calls the entire car ride to shopping. Evidently, turquoise and cowboy hats are what you shop for in Sedona and these ladies are on a mission. They are dropping thousands at these stores.

All that shopping makes them work up an appetite so they head to the airport for dinner.  It’s hot, they had to cook for themselves, and now they are eating at the airport runway?! Sutton sure planned this out.

Kyle asks Amanda if she is ok during dinner, but it’s clear that Amanda is still hanging on to her “beef” with Sutton. She does not like that Sutton confronted her with a “hey missy.”  The reality is that Amanda did not like that it got back to Sutton that she was talking about her lateness. Sutton promises that Amanda will know if she is mad. Sutton explains that she was late to cook the chicken (the main dish in Amanda’s eyes) NOT because of anything about Avi…she didn’t even know the situation yet!

Sutton realizes that Amanda knows exactly what she is doing and she is attempting to use Sutton for attention. Sutton makes it clear that she is not interested in learning the facts that Amanda claims to know about Avi and shuts it down.  She will no longer talk about Avi in conversations and tells the group they are not to talk about him in front of her. Welp, looks like Sutton Stracke is back in action.

Erika points out that when Sutton shuts them down about Avi, it makes the whole situation seem bigger than it is.  Sutton explains it was a painful falling out and wonders what the ladies want from her. Erika realizes that Amanda comes across as gossipy and it was not meant to be a friendly conversation. Sutton cuts Jennifer off when she tries to help and Jennifer immediately shuts up.

Jennifer excuses herself to use the bathroom with Kyle after Sutton jumped down her throat. Jennifer is tired of Sutton snapping at her and she has had it.  Just because Sutton is fragile, does not mean she always gets a pass, according to Jennifer.  Jennifer then tells Kyle that it’s always about Sutton and she thinks that has something to do with why Garcelle left.  Kyle is stunned. Jennifer repeats, “it’s not all about you, Sutton,” before returning to the table with Kyle.

Dorit reminds Sutton that she’s got her back, which is a huge turning point in their relationship. Sutton is shocked at the connections she has made and now she is feeling part of the group, which makes her happy.  If only she knew how UNHAPPY she just made Jennifer…

  • ‘RHOBH’ Cast Reacts to Dorit Kemsley Being 90 Mins Late for Private Flight as She Details “Impossible Situation” She Was Faced With Before Boarding

    Credit: Bravo, Instagram

Dorit Kemsley arrived late to a private flight on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and after the show, her co-stars shared their thoughts.

As Dorit, 49, explained her late arrival, sharing that she had been met with an “impossible situation” as the flight was set to leave, her castmates looked back on the “wild” and upsetting turn of events, as Sutton Stracke, 54, stated that she was “unfazed” by Dorit’s failure to be on time.

“I’ve actually never seen anyone be that late for a private flight ever … then she just sort of waltzed in … it was wild,” Kyle Richards, 56, recalled on the January 8 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.

“This is my third time to meet Dorit, and all three times, she’d been really late,” added Amanda Frances, 40.

As Kyle and Amanda noted that they were afraid they’d lose their spot on the tarmac, Erika Jayne, 54, said the fact that Dorit was an hour and a half late felt like “a different level of late.”

“[And] when she does show up, she looks like she’s overwhelmed,” she continued.

    Meanwhile, Sutton wasn’t bothered.

“It was the weirdest thing because I was really unfazed. It didn’t bother me,” she stated. “I thought, you know, this woman’s going through a lot. I don’t want to harass her about being late to an airplane.”

Although Sutton confirmed that “other people were upset,” Rachel Zoe, 54, said she was “confused.”

“I didn’t know if everyone else on the plane knew something I didn’t. I know from flying private for many years with friends and things like that, that like, when I’m going to someone’s plane, if they say, ‘Be there at 8 p.m.,’ I’m there at 7:20,” she reasoned.

In her own After Show segment, Dorit recalled being “stressed and frazzled” on the day of the fight as she admitted to understanding her castmates’ frustrations.

“I was very, very stressed and frazzled, and it took me more than a minute to like, breathe through it,” she shared. “There was, ‘Are you okay,’ ‘Is everything okay,’ but I think, understandably, when you’re sitting on a jet for 90 minutes, that’s very annoying.”

As for what happened, Dorit said she “had a lot going on” because her two kids, son Jagger, 11, and daughter Phoenix, 9, were flying home from a two-week visit with her parents in Florida.

“The kids were supposed to land with my mother in the morning. She’s got macular degeneration, and she can still see, but she cannot read things. She has to have someone do it, so I said to the dispatcher, ‘It’s very important that the driver has the flight info so he knows exactly where to send her … because she’s with my kids,’” she explained.

Although Dorit expected the driver to take her mother and children to the correct airline, he brought them to the wrong terminal, which resulted in a “whole mess” that Dorit needed to sort through before boarding her own flight.

“I needed to make sure that she and the kids had a flight … It was really, really an impossible situation,” she noted. “She was already very frantic, so for her not [be able to] reach me, and [know that] I was dealing with it, forget it.”

  • RHOBH Recap: Kyle Says Gender Does Not Matter as She Hints at Her Sexuality at Boz’s Speed Dating Event; Dorit Learns PK is Not Financially Supporting the Family and Amanda Opens Up About Relationship With Fiancé

On this episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Bozoma hosts a speed dating event to try and get the single ladies back in the game.  When she pushes Kyle for relationship answers, Kyle talks about the importance of soul connections, not so much gender.  Now that PK has stopped assisting financially, Dorit is left trying to figure out where the money is.  With the help of Amanda, a financial empowerment teacher and coach, Dorit tries to learn life all over again.

Since most of the girls in this friend group are single, Boz has decided to host a speed dating event at her house.  She went through her rolodex and found her most eligible bachelors in hopes of making a love connection.  Boz just wants the ladies to flirt a bit, especially Kyle, since she can’t seem to figure out Kyle’s single state, not that it’s any of her business.

As the ladies trickle in, they realize they are all wearing black, as if they came from “some sort of witch convention.” They are all a bit tentative, but Dorit is the first one with courage, plowing right out the door to greet the bachelors.  Erika is shockingly a bit awkward.  Guess her stage persona does not translate to real life…

Boz has set up some timed stations in an effort for the women to chat with each of the men.  She starts her clock and the dates begin.  Rachel throws it back to her (much) earlier days when she won biggest flirt at 6 years old and Sutton seems fearless making small talk.

Rachel realizes that she is still attracted to the type of men she should not be with and Kyle feels haunted by Mauricio since she can’t seem to get away from real estate brokers. It turns out that all the guys like Dorit, giving her the boost of confidence she so badly needed since the divorce.

Erika admits that she has zero game; however, she is able to snag a card from the one guy Sutton showed interest in.  Awkward.  Sutton jokingly reminds Erika that her attorney husband did not work out so well and Erika hands the card over to Sutton so she can shoot her shot.

Kyle explains that she is not actively looking to meet someone, even after 3 years of a separation.  Kyle says that she is looking for a “life partner” and wants to get married again.

Erika and Sutton take Dorit aside to see how things are going with the kids and the divorce. The children did wind up going to Florida with Dorit’s parents and now she has time to take care of her state of mind. Erika states that men get away with more than the women and Sutton reminds Dorit that as bad as it sucks, Dorit just has to get through it. Sutton totally sympathizes with Dorit and understands how hard divorce with children is.

Boz explains that she is trying hard to get to know Kyle. Kyle states that she has been in love three times and has found love since the separation.  Now, Kyle is just on her own again and is annoyed by Boz playing dumb.  It was not Kyle’s idea to be alone again, but she explains that things are complicated. Boz claims she wants to be there for Kyle, but is she just being nosey?

According to Boz, in order to be friends, Kyle has to share things.  Kyle tells Boz to say what she really means and Kyle goes on to say, “I could go Brad, I could go Angelina.” Kyle states that she is half joking, but has learned a lot about herself.  She talks about a soul connection and how gender does not matter to her. The fact that Kyle did meet someone gives her hope that love still exists.

Kyle always worries about the perception of her dating life and Rachel explains that it is ok for Kyle to freely be herself.  Kyle is sad about the end of her marriage, but she is happy to get the chance to figure out who she is once again.

Later, we get a glimpse into Amanda’s home life.  She came from humble beginnings in Oklahoma and is now living her dream.  She met her fiancé in 2019 and decided she wanted babies more than a ring.  And so, the couple had two children and now are planning their wedding.  Amanda is a “financial empowerment teacher and coach” and she explains that she manifests all that she hopes for.

Rachel has known Sutton through mutual friends and so they sit down to chat about Boz’s speed dating.  Rachel is too new out of her marriage to find a true connection and Sutton shares that her ex-husband asked for an annulment within the Catholic church.  Sutton explains that the letter came to Sutton Stracke Brown and wonders if she should drop her married name.  Rachel shares that she dropped her married name the minute she left Rodger.  Sutton realizes that her ex is not taking her back and their marriage is over, over. Sutton Brown does have a nice ring to it…

Kyle and her daughter, Alexia, are shopping for wedding flowers. The thought of Alexia getting married chokes Kyle up because at one point, she was blissfully happy with Mauricio.  A tearful Kyle hopes “neither one of them ever hurt each other and that Jake always looks at Alexia the way he does today.” Kyle worries for her daughter and wants nothing more than for them to have a successful marriage.

Boz explains that she met Amanda at  Jennifer Tilly’s party and she is intrigued by her. Amanda and Boz talk business.  Amanda has always been an entrepreneur who started as a therapist and life coach. She is not a financial planner, but likes to teach on money’s “psychological, emotional, and energy”…whatever that entails.

Dorit joins the ladies and Amanda shares her support for Dorit as she navigates this divorce.  Dorit tells them that her “estranged husband” is an alpha businessman, but when they got married, they did not have a prenup.  In fact, PK came into the marriage broke after the 2008 financial crisis.

After they got married, PK handled all of the finances, but now that they are divorcing, she is finding out that PK is just not paying certain things any more. According to Dorit, PK told her the finances would stay the same when they separated, but he apparently only agreed to that set-up for one month.

Amanda tries to talk business with Dorit.  Dorit is in the dark with the finances and Boz knows that every woman should know where the money is.

Dorit refers to PK as complex and when he starts drinking, things get more complicated.  To make matters worse, Dorit’s name is on everything.  So if PK stops paying for something or stops making payments, it is Dorit who suffers.  The unknowns are scary and Amanda wants Dorit to figure out who she wants to be no matter what PK does. Boz is not sure what kind of financial advice Amanda is giving Dorit, especially since things are bound to get very ugly between Dorit and PK…

  • ‘RHOBH’ Star Kyle Richards Addresses Rachel Zoe’s Claim About Mauricio, Dorit Saying She Didn’t Feel Supported Amid PK Divorce, and Tension Between Her, Erika & Dorit, Plus Dating Update and Garcelle’s “Low Blow” Comment

    Credit: Faye’s Vision/Cover Images, MediaPunch/INSTARimages, Instagram

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is opening up about season 15 of the show, her thoughts on attempts to set Rachel Zoe up with Mauricio Umansky, and more in a brand new interview.

Regarding Rachel and Mauricio, it was stated on RHOBH that people were trying to set them up while they were both in Aspen. Rachel announced her separation from her longtime husband, Rodger Berman, in September 2024. Kyle and Mauricio have been publicly separated since July 2023.

Kyle interviewed with Decider in December 2025. The first topic of discussion was the RHOBH scene where Kyle is gathered with her daughters, and they’re discussing Mauricio being linked to so many women.

“I had to give him a heads up that that was said on camera. I may or may not have enjoyed having to tell him that. My favorite times, honestly, with the show are with my daughters shooting together,” Kyle responded.

From there, they discussed how Rachel said on the show that someone had tried to fix her up with Mauricio. When asked what went through her head after learning this, Kyle said, “You’re too old for him.”

She continued, “And that’s not a slight to Rachel. That’s a slight to Mau. Every time you find out someone is single, it’s like, ‘Oh, who can we set them up with?’ So I wasn’t surprised by that, actually, at all. But, you know, I think I even joke, ‘You’re too old for him,’ for obvious reasons.”

When asked for an update on her own dating life, Kyle revealed, “No, nothing new since then. I’m not on the dating apps. It seems like that’s how everybody meets people these days. I’m not on any dating apps.”

She then said, “I’m just okay with being by myself. Whatever will be, will be is my attitude. It feels good to be able to feel like that. I don’t really care that much. It’s odd, maybe. I think I spent time worrying so much about that initially, and now I’m not worried at all.”

The interviewer then noted that “it’ll happen when it’s meant to be,” and that she has a happy life with her daughters, friends, and animals. Kyle agreed, saying, “I have my daughters first and foremost, and then my friends and animals. I used to go out a lot more, and I really do enjoy being home. I work so much that when I’m not working, I really enjoy just being in my home.”

She went on, “People tease me for having my Christmas trees up since Nov. 1. But when I’m home, I really want to enjoy my home. It’s very hard to get me to leave the house. Every time I make a plan, I’m like, ‘Oh no.’ I’m like all the memes. Like, ‘Why do I make that plan?’ I’m like, ‘Please, dear God, make this person cancel.’”

Next, they discussed how Dorit Kemsley said she didn’t feel adequately supported by Kyle amid her ongoing divorce. In response, Kyle said, “Hold on, let me roll my eyes as hard as I can. I think that she has just been looking for something with me nonstop since she started going through this whole thing with PK. I’ve been in for her as much as she has allowed me to be.”

The RHOBH OG continued, “I mean, if that means reaching out, texting, inviting her to things, I’ve done all the things that you’re supposed to do as a friend. If she continues to want to see it that way, or pretend to see it that way, whatever it may be, there’s nothing I can do. I feel like my side of the street is clean.”

Later, the interviewer asked Kyle what she could tease about the drama between Erika Jayne and Dorit and if she took one side over the other. “It was the three of us that happened with. That part was really sad for me because I’ve been on the show for 15 years,” Kyle explained. “Erika has now been there 10 [years] and Dorit nine. So, we’ve been there the longest and are the closest.”

She continued, “That is just something I never anticipated happening. I was really sad about having a fight with Dorit last year. All of that was terrible. Now, having Erika also going through something with her, I just felt like this is wrong.”

Kyle then said, “It should not be the three of us going through this. It was very, very dramatic what happened. I was very shocked. We’re still not okay. But hopefully, after the season plays out and we get re-upset after watching it, we can hopefully work things out at the reunion. That’s [the] only thing we can hope.”

Kyle’s not-so-close friendship with second-season Housewife Bozoma Saint John also came up. The interviewer noted that it seemed Boz had been putting pressure on Kyle for them to be friends without actually trying to be close with the OG.

Kyle responded, “Yes, 100%. I also felt like it wasn’t even right. What she was saying didn’t match my experience at all. I felt like maybe that had something to do with her situation with Dorit because I made such a point with her. I mean, I sent her flowers.”

She went on to say, “It just felt like those moments, like, are these people just trying to have a problem with me just to have a problem with me? Because it’s not true and it’s not fair.”

Kyle also reacted to Garcelle Beauvais saying she’d consider returning to RHOBH if Erika left.

According to Kyle, “That is just such a low blow. For someone to say that? Erika has been there 10 years. It was so rude to say something like that, honestly. You can either handle it or you can’t. And she couldn’t. That’s why she’s not here anymore.”

Kyle added, “She also went on and said if she was gonna be friends with any of us off the show, she’d be friends with me. I thought to myself, ‘Well, we were getting along so great. And you left the reunion, you unfollowed me. That was it.’”

RHOBH airs on Thursday nights on Bravo.

  • RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley Suggests Kyle Only Breaks Up With Morgan During Filming, Addresses “Contentious” Relationship With PK & and Luann Calling Her a “B*tch,” Plus Shades Amanda

    Credit: Instagram

Dorit Kemsley spoke of Kyle Richards‘ relationship reveal and breakup on Watch What Happens Live after she finally came clean about her secret romance, rumored to be with singer Morgan Wade, on Thursday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

As she offered an update on her co-parenting relationship with Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58, confirmed where she stands with Boy George, 64, and compared PK to Mauricio Umansky, 55, Dorit shared her thoughts on Luann de LessepsBravoCon shade, revealed her co-stars with the most and least game, and reacted to Kyle’s love life revelation.

When asked about Kyle hinting at a split from Morgan, Dorit pointed to the fact that Kyle and Morgan always seem to cool things off in their relationship whenever RHOBH is filming.

In May of this year, Kyle called Morgan “beautiful” on social media before filming began in June. And then in October, a month after filming ended, Kyle was seen fangirling at Morgan’s concert.

“I think that that sort of happens when she’s filming,” Dorit, 49, said on the December 11 episode of WWHL about Kyle’s split.

As for the reveal itself, Dorit said that Kyle coming clean about having a partner who didn’t want to be seen publicly was “all she really ever had to say.”

“That’s it. All you ever had to say was that, and nothing else would’ve followed,” she noted.

According to Dorit, who said she had “no idea” where Kyle and the mystery person stand today, she was only sort of surprised that Kyle finally came clean.

“Yes and no,” she explained. “I think that it’s gotten to a point where it’s like… you’re getting too close.”

While it was noted that Kyle had been respecting the wishes of the private person she was dating, Dorit suggested she had a responsibility to her fans.

“She’s a public figure, by the way,” she reminded.

Also speaking of Kyle, Dorit was asked about how she said that she treats her differently from other ladies when they give her the same advice.

“It’s very funny … but Kyle and I had a very special relationship for a very long time, almost a decade, and naturally, I’m going to be more sensitive to the way Kyle treats me,” she reasoned. “And when you have that history, you have an expectation, like to be a good friend. And so when that’s not happening, of course, you’re gonna have a problem.”

Moving on to PK, Dorit revealed they are still not in a good place.

“It’s so unfortunate because it’s unnecessarily contentious and more challenging than it needs to be. If you’re not communicating, it’s very difficult to coparent effectively,” she shared.

She was then asked what she admires about Mauricio and wishes PK had more of.

“I think his knowledge and understanding of the show, and being as supportive as Mauricio was,” she replied.

Regarding her castmates, Dorit seemingly shaded Amanda Frances, 40, as the worst-dressed.

“Well, there’s a certain newbie that could use a little help — definitely not [Rachel Zoe],” she said.

Also on the live broadcast, after sharing that Boy George was “firmly in PK’s camp” and “hasn’t even reached out,” Dorit spoke of Rachel, 54, applauding her for having the most game while naming Sutton, 54, as the cast member with the least game, and joking that she talks a lot.

“The beautiful thing is now that Rachel has joined the group … we go toe to toe … You put us together, and … I feel like I can pass the baton,” she explained.

As for Rachel shading PK and Mauricio’s dating lives as “disgusting,” Dorit said her castmate was probably referring to them being so public and out there, “and not really considerate.”

“And I would second that,” she stated.

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Dorit reacted to Luann, 60, saying she was “not the nicest” at BravoCon and then suggesting it was a compliment.

“I was like, ‘What?’ Because people don’t usually say, ‘Oh, Dorit’s not very friendly.’ I pride myself on being friendly. So I immediately went up to her, because she was backstage, and I was like, I said, ‘Luann, I’m sorry if I gave you this impression,’” she recalled. “She mentioned the same thing about Kyle, which I didn’t understand. I really still don’t comprehend why she thought I was unfriendly because I was friendly with Kyle … where do things stand? I think they’re fine. She basically said that she thinks that I was just focused on Kyle, and so I didn’t mean to be unfriendly. So I let her slide.”

“I’m easier than [Erika Jayne],” she added, giving a nod to Luann calling Erika a “b*tch.”

  • RHOBH Recap: Kyle Cries Over Dating Someone Who Disliked Public Scrutiny as She Hints at Morgan Wade Relationship; Dorit Accuses PK of Using Their Kids to Hurt Her and Newbie Amanda Clashes With Erika

On this episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle introduces us to Amanda, a young mother who purchased Kyle’s Bel Air home. Jennifer Tilly hosts a sip and draw event with a little more than the women bargained for. Kyle’s love life continues to be questioned and Dorit realizes just how much a divorce can impact the lives of her children.

Rachel is loving her friendship with Bozoma, despite being total opposites.  According to Rachel, Boz is scared of nothing and she is scared of everything.  Take for instance, her “paralyzing” life with her ex.  Now that Rachel has broken free from Rodger, she feels refreshed and less anxious.

Rachel explains that early on in their separation, Rodger was photographed cozying up to a mystery woman, much like Mauricio. Rachel is in awe of Rodger’s stupidity in not choosing to hide this side of his life from his children, businesses, etc.

When it comes to Kyle’s dating life, Boz and Rachel were surprised to hear that she is not dating. Boz points out that they can be a safe place for Kyle, especially since there is so much speculation about who she is with, but Kyle remains evasive, dodging details and questions like a pro.

Kyle shares that she did not know Mauricio went from renting a high rise to leasing a house.  This move really seems to put the nail in the coffin for their marriage; however, Kyle is playing nice and visiting the new crib.  She brings Mo some new towels and he addresses his “ho era.”

Kyle makes it very clear that she is single, but admits that she has dated since the separation.  Unlike Mo, she chose to keep her dating life out of the public eye and to be more discreet.  When it comes to Mo’s choices with PDA, Kyle explains that Dorit feels as though PK was influenced by Mo’s single life.  Mo states that Dorit might have a fantasy of what reality is…

Considering the history that Erika and Sutton have had after the last five years, it is shocking to see Erika extend an olive branch to Sutton for a fancy facial. They chat about how Sutton seemed to get along with Dorit and it is likely the connection of divorce.

Erika opens up about Tom and shares that she is heartbroken. She knows he is going to die in prison and Erika is not sure what to do as closure. Erika wishes he would “die before he would get to prison” and wonders if she should even visit him. All of it has weighed heavily on Erika five years later, as she still has civil cases and wonders if she will ever truly get away from it.

Jagger, Dorit’s son, has been having a hard time with the divorce.  And so, Dorit’s mother and father have been staying at the house to assist.  There is talk of the children going back to Florida with their grandparents for a visit sans Dorit, since Jagger seems to be the best version of himself around Dorit’s dad.

Dorit admits that she is not taking care of herself, but how could she? PK has dumped everything in her lap, including finances (PK apparently does not give Dorit any money), and she is trying to be a mom while navigating this extremely difficult and messy divorce.

Kyle brings her daughter, Alexia, to begin her wedding registry at some fancy shmancy story.  Since Kathy is out of town, Kyle has brought in the assistance of Sutton. The wedding is less than eight weeks away and Kyle is beginning to feel the pressure.

Kyle speed-tells us about this girl Amanda who bought her BelAir home.  Amanda is ALSO getting married and, shockingly, is ALSO coming to register that very moment.  Amanda enters and chats about how her man “chased her down the street in West Hollywood.”  Amanda claims her husband manifested her, which is interesting since she is known for manifesting…and also as the “money queen.”  I mean, she wrote a book titled Rich as F*ck

They chit chat and discuss Jennifer Tilly’s upcoming Boho Chic party and attempt to make it seem natural that Amanda will be joining them for that event.

Boz visits with her daughter, Lael, and they discuss dating. Lael seems to approve of Boz’s relationship with Keely. She even goes as far as saying she wants Keely to ask her permission to marry her mother should he want to propose.

It’s time for Jennifer’s sip and draw party. Jennifer admits that she has a big surprise for the ladies upon their arrival.  When Rachel arrives, Jennifer shares that she is a “little bit in awe” of her and her coolness, but Rachel seems to fit right in.

Sutton went ahead and invited Amanda, who is way younger than the rest of the group. Kyle introduces Amanda to Dorit and we learn that Amanda has two step-kids (“I’m raising them”) and two other kids.

Jennifer leads the women to the easels and brings out her surprise: naked men. The women are absolutely losing it and Sutton has to put her glasses on to really focus.  Amanda does not appreciate Erika shaming her for not drinking and it’s weird since Erika seems cool with Kyle’s lack of boozing.

The drawings turn out terrible and it is clear that we have no artists in the group.  Post painting, Jennifer talks to the girls about dating.  Kyle is dodging any dating questions, despite all the pictures and rumors. Dorit shares that her “husband is too busy torturing” her and so SHE has yet to go on any date.

Dorit goes on to say that PK is denying the travel for her children’s Florida trip solely to be mean.  She then goes on to talk about Jagger, who is asking for HER dad. Sutton is “breathless” watching Dorit crumble and she experiences PTSD because she, too, knows the ugliness of divorce.  Dorit’s kids need love and support and to be around family, but PK will only let them go to Florida if they could stay in a hotel with him.

Dorit feels like PK is only doing these things to hurt her and does not appreciate Kyle questioning her thought process.  Boz suggests that Dorit make PK be the bearer of bad news and figures the reality is, he would not be able to take on the entire responsibility of the kids.

Kyle feels like Dorit responds differently to her than with the others.  But Kyle knows PK personally, whereas the other women have never met him.  How, then, can they make a judgment about PK?!

Later, Kyle shares with Erika that she is sick of people asking about her dating life.  She has always told people to be honest and claims she is not a liar.  She is truly single, right now, but she WAS seeing someone that she cared about very much.

If the person was not afraid of the public scrutiny, maybe they would still be together. Kyle was in a very vulnerable place and she fell hard for this person, but this person wanted nothing to do with the publicity and limelight…which is why Kyle remained so coy about it at the time…

Based on all the evidence, Kyle appears to be talking about her rumored girlfriend, singer Morgan Wade, whom she was just spotted with in October despite stating they have split.

“Since separating from Mo, I was in a relationship. I was at a very vulnerable place in my life and I fell hard for this person,” shared Kyle in her confessional. “You know, I’m in love with somebody, I want to share that. I don’t care, I’m an open person like hat. But that doesn’t mean that the person I’m with feels he same way.”

Kyle added, “All the speculation and the gossip and the talking is what ultimately ended it. I could have weathered the storm but this not for everyone.”

Kyle Richards cries to Erika Jayne over having to keep her past relationship a secret

Erika lets Kyle know that she has been as forthcoming as she could be.  Unexpectedly falling in love with someone and not being able to talk about them is very difficult.  Erika realizes that the women are not going to get over it until Kyle addresses it for once and for all.  Kyle is absolutely in a rock and a hard place…

  • ‘RHOBH’ Star Dorit Kemsley Discusses Erika Jayne “[Losing] It” on Her, Ups and Downs With Kyle Richards, and Co-Parenting With PK Amid Divorce, Plus Update on Boz Saint-John Friendship

    Credit: Trae Patton/Bravo

Dorit Kemsley opened up about her drama with Erika Jayne and Kyle Richards during a panel at BravoCon on Friday.

Weeks before the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15, Dorit, 49, recalled Erika, 54, “[losing] it” on her, spoke of her ups and downs with Kyle, 56, and admitted that co-parenting with her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, 57, has been “challenging” while also speaking of her other show relationships and friendship with Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48.

“It came out of left field. It was very surprising. Shocking,” Dorit admitted of her spat with Erika in a clip shared by Us Weekly.

“I love Dorit. I lost it on Dorit. That’s the way it happened,” Erika explained.

As for Kyle, she told Us Weekly that her and Dorit’s tension was “sad,” since they “love and care about each other,” and admitted to feeling that their respective splits from Mauricio Umansky, 55, and PK added strain to their relationship.

“We both went through a very difficult time, which I think made it difficult to move forward,” she shared. “And then coming into this season, we were able to make progress, which was great, and then we made three steps forward and maybe four steps back.”

“Would you agree with that assessment?” she then asked Dorit.

“I don’t know that I would agree with going through a difficult time and making it difficult to move forward. I thought we were moving forward. In fact, I thought at the reunion that we had moved forward,” she replied.

According to Kyle, she felt that they were in a “good place” at a certain point.

“Definitely. I would agree with that. But it didn’t really turn out to be that way,” Dorit noted.

As she navigated her drama with her RHOBH castmates, Dorit was also faced with drama from her ex.

“It’s challenging,” she told Us Weekly of co-parenting her two kids, Jagger, 11, and Phoenix, 9, with PK. “I’m hoping that things will sort of straighten out because I think that that’s really important. We need to be able to prioritize our children, and I’m hoping that at some point things will become a little bit less challenging.”

During another interview, with Chanel Ayan, 47, for Bravo, Dorit said she and PK were “still going through a divorce” and noted that while she and Kyle “were” doing better during season 15, they’re currently “working through [their] issues” in hopes of getting to a “better place.

As for who she was close with amid production, Dorit named newbie Rachel Zoe, 54.

“I love Rachel Zoe. Absolutely love her. In fact, I say this and I stand by it, two of the greatest casting choices in Beverly Hills ever, ever, in the history of Beverly Hills? Boz and Rachel,” she declared.

“Boz and I have a very close relationship. I love her with my heart and soul,” she added.

Also speaking to Ayan, Dorit confirmed she’s still smoking.

“Yes, I am. In fact, probably now more than ever,” she stated.

  • VIDEO: See RHOBH Season 15 Trailer! Kyle Seemingly Admits She’s Bisexual as Dorit Meets With Mauricio! Plus Jennifer Accuses Sutton of Being Selfish, Erika & Dorit Feud, Denise Admits She’s “Afraid” of Aaron, & Rachel Zoe and Amanda Frances Join Cast

    Credit: Phylicia J.L. Munn/Bravo

Kyle Richards seems to confirm that she’s into both men and women in the just-released trailer for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15.

As Dorit Kemsley, 49, and Mauricio Umansky, 55, are seen at a restaurant, Erika Jayne, 54, goes public with her new boyfriend, John “Shrek” McPhee, and Denise Richards, 54, admits she’s afraid of Aaron Phypers, 53, newbies Rachel Zoe, 54, and Amanda Frances are introduced to the group, Sutton Stracke, 54, butts heads with Jennifer Tilly, 67, and Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, questions Kyle, 56, about her personal life.

“Look, I’m a girls’ girl. But in order to be friends, I want to know the information so that I can also be helpful,” Boz tells Kyle as the clip begins.

“Well, why don’t you ask what you really want to ask: I could go Brad; I could go Angelina,” Kyle replies.

Boz then tells her co-star, “I have to know what you want,” and Kyle says, “Someone who likes sex.”

During another moment, Kyle opens up about her ongoing estrangement from Mauricio.

“You need to go out there and do whatever makes you happy,” Erika tells her.

“I’m trying,” Kyle replies as she’s later seen having a tear wiped away by Mau.

Another relationship in turmoil is that of Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58.

“He’s never [texted] me once asking to see the kids,” Dorit tells Mauricio during an outing at a restaurant.

“I’m hearing different stories,” Mau replies.

With her castmates struggling to work through the ends of their marriages, Erika is enjoying the start of her new romance as she makes it “official” with her boyfriend.

“That was a hard launch,” Kyle declares after John is seen on a FaceTime call.

Erika is then seen sitting down with Denise.

“How could you release pictures of your wife naked?” Denise wonders.

    “Are you afraid?” Erika replies.

“Yeah,” Denise, whose estranged husband has been accused of abuse, confirms. “Very.”

While Kyle high-fives Dorit in one scene, all isn’t well between them, as they are later seen engaging in a tense moment during dinner with their castmates.

“You’re lying. And you know what doesn’t lie? The cameras,” Kyle declares.

Meanwhile, speaking to Kathy Hilton, 66, Dorit says, “Those days of me sitting there, grinning and bearing it, swallowing it, taking it, those days are f*cking over.”

Kyle and Dorit are also seen with Erika, who appears to be trying to intervene.

“I’m not gonna stop talking,” Erika tells Dorit.

But Dorit isn’t interested in what Erika has to say and storms off, telling her co-stars, “Go f*ck yourselves.”

As Rachel makes her grand entrance into the group, she reminds viewers, “My name’s Rachel Zoe. You may or may not remember me from Bravo because I’ve lived here before.”

She then accuses someone of being “fake” and playing “both sides” before a scene shows her crying about her failed attempt at a “hot girl summer.”

During their cast trip to Florence, Italy, the group is introduced to Amanda, whom Sutton immediately welcomes.

“To Amanda, our new friend,” she announces amid a meal.

“And Rachel’s our new friend, too,” Boz notes.

“She’s been here a minute, though. I’m new-new,” Amanda fires back.

Although Sutton seems to take a liking to Amanda, not everyone else does.

“Something’s off with this girl,” Erika suspects.

And Boz later tells the newbie, “You are not being clear about your life.”

Once back home, during a chat with her partner, Amanda suspects that one of the women is intimidated by her “because I’m young and successful and I’m not financially dependent on a man, and she outsourced her financial well-being to a man and it didn’t go well.”

Elsewhere in the trailer, Rachel confirms her divorce from Rodger Berman to her two sons, Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11, Boz undergoes surgery and seems to get bad news, and drama erupts between Sutton and Jennifer.

“That’s why Garcelle left: Because it’s always all about Sutton,” Jennifer declares, signaling Garcelle Beauvais, 58, and her March exit from the series.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 premieres on Thursday, December 4, at 8/7c on Bravo.

  • Your Favorite Celebrity Was Styled By Law Roach…Now What?

Your Favorite Celebrity Was Styled By Law Roach…Now What?

Last week, the fashion world was taken by surprise as Law Roach noisily retired from styling. The famed stylist is known for saving the fashion careers of many celebrities, pulling them out of tone-deaf, trendless outfits and into the world of serving absolute looks. If you’ve loved what a celeb is wearing, Law Roach probably styled them.

He’s the wizard who turned Zendaya into Cinderella for the Met Gala (
who also styles her boyfriend, Tom Holland), he’s the maven who re-branded Celine Dion’s style. But the fashion industry is both cutthroat and rarely without drama. Law took to Instagram to announce he was retiring for good, and that the industry had seemingly “won.”

But retirement can mean so many things. Tom Brady has retired from football twice now. So it’s safe to say that people have questions when it comes to Law Roach’s sudden retirement post.

    Is Law Roach Retiring?

People love giving credit where credit is due – and as such, stylists have their very own fan bases.
The Guardian likens this phenomenon to Rachel Zoe’s Zoe Bots, which spawned her own spinoff show and fame in her own right, and not just for styling Lindsay Lohan.

This just means Law Roach will be fine if he’s not styling everyone anymore – he’ll be sitting on a million Instagram followers and a networking catalog that most would kill for. He has some of the biggest names in Hollywood behind him like Zendaya herself. In other words, Law Roach probably isn’t going anywhere.

The dramatic, shady Insta post wasn’t Law stepping away from fashion altogether, as he told
Vogue. And it most definitely isn’t due to the fact that Zendaya didn’t save him a front-row seat at Fashion Week this year – or that he asked Emma Stone to give up hers. Law Roach is taking his career into his own hands, far away from “the politics, the lies, and false narratives” that Roach credits for his retirement from celebrity styling.

    Law Roach told
    AP,

“I just wanna breathe. I wanna fly. I wanna be happy,” Roach said. “I wanna figure other things out.”

    Who Has Law Roach Styled?

His looks have been seen on Anne Hathaway, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ariana Grande, and Bella Hadid. Law has created a multi-million dollar empire styling clients for photoshoots and red carpet appearances, while collaborating with some of the biggest fashion houses in the world.

This year’s Oscars showcased Megan Thee Stallion, Hunter Schafer, Kerry Washington, Eve Jobs, and Hailee Steinfeld, all dressed by Roach. Most of which ranked as the most talked about looks of the evening – so who’s going to style them now?

Law Roach and Zendaya at the Met Gala 2019

    David Fisher/Shutterstock

And while each and every look was a slay and a serve in their own respect, no two looks were similar. In fact, each look was praised in their own ways, for different reasons. It’s something Law Roach talks about with The Cut.

“It’s always the narrative of, “Oh, he’s never gonna treat you the way he treats Zendaya. You’re gonna get what she doesn’t want.” And that’s not true, because none of my clients ever look the same. Like, I don’t use edits.

I don’t walk around with suitcases of edits that Zendaya didn’t want and offer ’em to other people. It’s always those narratives, and I’ve lost a bunch of clients that I really care for and really wanted to work with because of the gatekeepers.”

Law even styled Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, who told People that a stylist (seemingly Roach) informed her she wasn’t “sample sized.” While Law Roach told The Cut that this conversation didn’t happen in the way she framed it, it was an example of the false narratives he cited in his retirement.

    What’s Next For Law Roach?

More recently, Roach was spotted making his modeling debut for Boss. Law Roach strutted the runway in good company amongst Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell, and Precious Lee. He told Vogue,

“I don’t think I have any challenges. I’m a fucking diva! Even if they were to put me on a 10-inch high heel I would be walking that runway. The little gay boy in me—I’m living out a dream! The hair, the makeup, the look they chose for me: it’s literally a dream!”

  • Oilo Studio: Making The Glider That’s In Every Stylish Celebrity Nursery

Oilo Studio: Making The Glider That’s In Every Stylish Celebrity Nursery

Expecting parents have often looked to celebrity nurseries for inspiration and one thing that many have in common are chairs from Oilo Studio. From recliners to classic gliders and ottomans, Oilo Studio has become a must-have brand for celebrities and ordinary parents alike. While many nursery recliners and gliders look like a slightly more modern or colorful version of what your uncle has had in the corner of his living room for 25 years—Oilo’s are quite the opposite. Fresh, contemporary, and available in a variety of sleek upholstery choices, it’s easy to understand why Khloe Kardashian, Christina Haack, Halle Berry, Sienna Miller, and Amber Fillerup among other recognizable names have Oilo Gliders in their nurseries. Designers including famed nursery designer Naomi Coe are also fans of this line.

While an investment piece for many parents, these gliders weren’t designed to stay in nurseries forever but can easily blend into any design scheme in a living room, home office, or bedroom. The brand currently offers seven gliders and recliners in a choice of 24 fabrics designed to coordinate with most style nurseries. There’s also a choice of manual or motorized movement and a wood or metal base.

Founded in 2007 and launched in 2009—in addition to being sold on the brand’s website, it’s also been picked up by other retailers including Kathy Kuo and Neiman Marcus.

I recently spoke with Thomas about nursery furniture trends, being a working mom, and why it’s important to design for adults.

Amanda Lauren: What was it like to start a company shortly after having your first child?

Annalisa Thomas: I knew I wanted to start a business but didn’t know what I would do until I was pregnant with my first baby. The problem with starting a business is that it’s super exciting, but after all that the grind sets in, it’s a ton of work and you don’t get paid for your efforts.

With a new baby, it was extremely overwhelming. I had heard somewhere that you can get a lot done in fifteen minutes if you set your timer. So I started doing that. Some days I would get in a handful of fifteen-minute sessions. On other days I would only get one in. But I did it. Every single day.

No matter how difficult that day was with a newborn—taking one small step forward every day eventually made all the difference. I officially launched the business in 2009 and am proud to see how far we have come. To this day, I still use the fifteen-minute approach when I feel overwhelmed.

Lauren: What products did Oilo launch with?

Thomas: We launched nursery items to make those first months with a little one that much easier. Bumpers, lighting, gliders, and blankets. At the time bumpers were all the rage but soon experts realized their potential danger and they quickly fell out of favor.

Crib sheets took center stage in place of baby bumpers, but parents also wanted something for themselves—somewhere comfy to rest after being up late tending to their newborn’s needs.

Lauren: When did gliders become more popular than rocking chairs?

Thomas: Gliders have been around for a while now—since the 1880s. But it was only recently that designers stepped up their game, introducing truly beautiful reclining pieces. And we can thank modern technology because motorized reclines are even smoother and more effortless to operate than ever before—making them ideal for new moms who may be recovering from cesarian sections or dealing with sleeping babies that may wake with the slightest movement. You can also charge your phone on most of our models too.

Lauren: What is your process for designing the chairs?

Thomas: To ensure total comfort, we always begin with three must-haves which are arm height for complete relaxation when holding a baby, back support to cushion your head, and seat elevation because leg sustainability matters too. With these needs in mind, then it’s time to get creative.

Lauren: What makes Oilo Studio gliders so special?

Thomas: With great pride, we ensure our gliders are made in the United States with nothing but the highest quality craftsmanship. Each piece is crafted using only superior-grade wood to enhance durability and comfort. Our craftsmen have been skilled for many years, ensuring every aspect of the chair meets impeccable standards from neck support to armrests. Our mission is for you to have a lasting, versatile piece of furniture that can be used in the nursery today, but also moved into your living or primary room as needed down the line.

Lauren: How would you describe the Oilo Studio aesthetic?

Thomas: When I set out to choose furniture for my nursery I did so knowing that I wanted something beautiful, meaningful, and practical all at once. I knew this was the time to invest in quality pieces that would last me well beyond my family’s stage of infancy.

Quality and design are the key criteria for Oilo. So much care, attention, and love are put into creating a cozy, calm haven for the baby—one that serves not only the newborn, but also gives parents a place to relax and bond.

Quality design not only adds an aesthetically pleasing touch to the room, but it can also provide a soothing atmosphere as well as peace of mind, knowing that you have chosen something safe and long-lasting for your family.

Lauren: What celebrities have you worked with and why do you think there are so many love your brand?

Thomas: We’ve been so lucky to have worked with some fabulous celebrities since Oilo started. Rachel Zoe was the one who kicked it all off, she had an incredible nursery that featured one of Oilo’s very first designs. Her nursery got a lot of attention from magazines and shortly after that, Nick Lachey, Vince Vaughn, Halle Berry, and Christina Applegate as well.

Then Khloe Kardashian put our products in her nursery as well. Each one gives their own contribution towards helping build up Oilo into what it is today.

Lauren: What are the biggest trends in nursery design right now?

Thomas: When Oilo first launched, nurseries were filled with bright primary colors and cartoons. We on the other hand saw the nursery as an oasis, a comforting and inviting retreat for parents away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And it’s wonderful to say that today nurseries have achieved this. Many parents are curating tranquil havens where both themselves (and their little ones) can relax in peace and harmony.

Lauren: Do you think social media can create pressure to design a prettier or more upscale nursery?

Thomas: We’ve seen so much change in the nursery space. When Oilo began social media was not even a thing. It’s amazing how people can express and showcase their love for nurseries with friends all over the world now! While there are negative sides, one awesome effect of this digital age is that creativity flows more easily between new parents who may not know where to start when designing a beautiful room –all thanks to Pinterest-worthy inspiration shared online.
