Gail Prudenti has launched “Judicious Advice,” a new service at Burner Prudenti Law in East Setauket, offering confidential guidance, strategic counsel and mentoring for law firms, attorneys, judges and individuals.

The service draws on Prudenti’s decades of experience as a former judge, including as chief administrative judge of the Courts of New York State, a previous dean of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, an attorney and a law firm partner.

“The goal is to assist the profession, and the consumer, at a time of unparalleled change and stress,” Prudenti said in a news release about the initiative.

“In my 45 years of legal experience, I have heard almost every type of case in the New York State Judicial System and bring my intimate knowledge of the practices, proceedings and operations of the entire court system,” Prudenti added.

“Gail Prudenti is a problem solver by experience, expertise and nature, serving as a strategic thoughtful advisor and mentor,” Jonathan Lippman, former chief judge of the State of New York, said in the news release.

Services include counsel on professional ethics and disciplinary matters. Also available are thorough case reviews and assessments. Clients can seek advice on and strategy. Services also include mentoring for young lawyers. In addition, clients can gain guidance on the use of artificial intelligence in legal practice. For those pursuing judicial careers, Judicious Advice offers specialized services for judicial aspirants. Additionally, the service facilitates attorney, mediation, and arbitration referrals.

Fees will be based on an hourly or per matter basis.
