  • Prince William thought former Prince Andrew was an ‘ignoramus’ before King Charles took action: author

Prince William had a few choice words about his disgraced uncle before his father, King Charles III, took action.

The claim comes from Russell Myers, royal editor of the Daily Mirror and author of the new book “William and Catherine,” which examines how the Prince and Princess of Wales have weathered the storms that have rocked the House of Windsor.

Myers told Fox News Digital that palace aides had sounded the alarm about former Prince Andrew’s behavior before his relationship with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came to light.

“It was very clear to me, made by several people I’d spoken to for the book, how William thought his uncle was always a bit of an ignoramus,” said Myers.

“He had a real issue with the way that Andrew treated his staff,” he shared. “He didn’t like his attitude of entitlement and privilege. This is very alien to both William and Catherine.

“They are very centered on producing really sound and enjoyable working environments for the people who are employed by them. They’re very respectful of the people that they work with. You just have to look at the amount of time that people stayed and worked within their household.”

Myers noted that tensions between William and Charles intensified after Andrew gave a bombshell interview to the BBC in 2019, where he attempted to explain his friendship with Epstein.

“After that disastrous 2019 interview Andrew gave to the BBC’s ‘Newsnight,’ in which he failed to apologize for his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, … William had the foresight to say, ‘This man must not have any place within the institution, any place within the family. He must be banished because he got himself into this mess, and he must be banished before the rot sets in.’”

“That’s what he told the late queen and his father at the time,” Myers claimed. “… [Andrew] failed to apologize for his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. He failed to acknowledge the real impact on Jeffrey Epstein’s victims and really gave a very bad account of himself. … I think it was six years later before King Charles finally took that action of stripping his title, stripping his honors and exiling him from public life.”

Charles ascended to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 2022. Myers noted the monarch faced mounting pressure from the public and William to address “the Andrew problem” swiftly.

“You’re also seeing investigators building cases from a catalog of allegations that have followed Andrew,” said Myers.

“And even though he’s denied all the allegations that have been put in front of him, we only have to look at what is happening now. Multiple police forces are investigating a catalog of claims and allegations relating to his misconduct.”

“I think if William had had his way, then certainly the royal family would’ve been able to be on the front foot many years ago,” Myers added.

Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for comment. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital, “We don’t comment on such books.”

Royal commentator Meredith Constant told Fox News Digital that before Andrew’s scandals, Charles and his heir didn’t always see eye-to-eye on how the monarchy should be managed.

“When the queen died, there were people in the palace afraid of how the public would receive Charles,” Constant explained. “There have been calls since William was a child for Charles to step out of the way in favor of King William’s reign sooner. The idea, after the queen’s death, that Charles and William were in ‘lockstep’ was largely invented.”

“Charles wants to bring the monarchy into the 21st century, while still respecting the pomp that comes with the job,” said Constant.

“Despite battling cancer, King Charles led the pack in the number of royal engagements for 2025, with 533, versus William with 202. Prince William envisions a monarchy where he takes on fewer causes but does more behind the scenes for maximum impact.

“Like a politician running for office, William has the advantage of saying, primarily through sources, what his reign will look like and what he would do differently. The difference is, he’s not running for office. He was predestined for the role.”

Royal experts told Fox News Digital that tensions between father and son reportedly led to disagreements over how to address Andrew and the fallout from his scandals.

“William and Charles differ on the handling of Andrew,” said Constant. “Charles has always felt some responsibility for his brother, especially after his mother died. William is a lot less forgiving of his uncle and thought Andrew should be cut out much earlier, ‘before the rot sets in.’

“Right now, the Andrew situation is with the police and the U.K. government, so father and son will want to stay out of the way while presenting a united front. It doesn’t help either one of their interests to appear fractured at the moment.”

“The reality is, we don’t know what William would have done if he were already king,” she noted. “Perhaps he would have diverged from his father, but we’ve also seen areas where William has followed suit despite promising a different strategy, like his relationship with the British media.”

“The image presented of William as a global statesman, charting a new path, modernizing the monarchy, is a bit at odds with some of what we’ve seen,” she pointed out. “That doesn’t mean he can’t be that changemaker king.”

According to Myers’ book, William challenged his father directly about Andrew following the queen’s death. However, the Prince of Wales was “very much put in his place,” said a source. While William didn’t agree that Andrew’s exile should be limited, he didn’t provoke his father any further.

Myers also noted that, for years, William questioned Andrew’s worth in the royal household, asking, “What does he actually do?” Myers claimed that while William has a close relationship with his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, William was horrified by how Andrew behaved in front of staff, “ordering people out, the aggressive or dismissive manner.”

“The Prince of Wales was adamant the whole episode would never go away and, despite how others may have felt, that there was absolutely no upside in Andrew being protected,” a palace source close to William told Myers.

“His view was crystal clear: Andrew shouldn’t be anywhere near the family under any circumstances, not by association, not at family functions, anywhere. Every single time there was a new revelation, which no one knew when it was coming or what the next one would be, it was a stain on all of the family.”

  • Fergie’s Arrest Reportedly ‘Inevitable’ as Andrew’s Ex-Wife Seemingly Goes into Hiding—It’s ‘Only a Matter of Time’

    [ad_1]

Sarah Ferguson may never return to the United Kingdom lest she wants to be put in handcuffs like her ex-husband, ex-Prince Andrew.

A source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack in a post published on February 24 that Fergie is hiding in the United Arab Emirates, where she’s sheltered by a wealthy friend who’s offered her security, privacy, and refuge following Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source continued, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”

Andrew, for his part, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19. His arrest came after allegations he shared confidential information with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a trade envoy for the U.K.

Fergie, who was married to Andrew from 1986 to 1996, also has a history with Epstein and appeared in the latest Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which included an alleged email to Epstein about her daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

Shuter’s report that Fergie is in the UAE also comes after the Daily Mail reported that the former Duchess of York had left the U.K. and checked into the Swiss rehabilitation clinic, Parcelsus Recovery, which is located in Zurich. (People could not independently confirm the Daily Mail’s report.) According to the Daily Mail, Fergie left for the facility just after Christmas in December and has stayed through the end of January.

“She always feels at home at Paracelsus, and knows she’ll get love and attention there, as well as expert health treatment when she’s feeling at her most vulnerable,” a source told the Daily Mail. Another source added that Fergie, who has appeared in promotional videos for the clinic and wrote an op-ed about it for The Telegraph, has a “strong relationship with Paracelsus, so it was the obvious place for her to get away from everything.”

A source also told Us Weekly in a report published on February 23 that Andrew and Fergie are “miserable” and in “survival mode” amid their Epstein scandal. “They are miserable,” the insider said. “And misery loves company.” The source continued, “There’s no real return to royal life. [They’re] very much in survival mode.”

  • Prince William, Kate Middleton fear Andrew arrest will damage King Charles’s ongoing health recovery: experts

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Prince William and Kate Middleton are concerned that the former Prince Andrew‘s arrest will send King Charles III’s health over the edge.

Experts told Fox News Digital it is no surprise that the Prince and Princess of Wales are worried about the king’s health after public polls have plummeted on how the monarchy is handling Andrew’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

On Sunday night, William admitted he was not in a “calm state” while attending the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), which also happened to be the royal couple’s first public appearance since Andrew’s arrest.

“There is no doubt that the pressures on King Charles, who is suffering from cancer, are intense. William and Catherine are reportedly extremely concerned about the way the crisis over Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is developing and the effect this is having on the King’s health,” Richard Fitzwilliams, a royals expert, told Fox News Digital.

When William was asked if he had a chance to watch “Hamnet” on the red carpet, the prince – who is the president of BAFTA – confessed he “needed to be in a calm mood” to watch the historical drama directed by Chloé Zhao.

“I need to be in quite a calm state, and I am not at the moment. I will save it,” he told the Daily Mail

Ian Pelham Turner, a royals expert, told Fox News Digital that William’s comment at the BAFTAs is “indicative” of the stress within the royal family.

“The quote by Prince William not in the right state to watch ‘Hamnet’ the story of William Shakespeare’s son’s death, is indicative of the stress the Royal family are going through right now, and the physical and mental health of his father King Charles, especially facing the public onslaught of allegations regarding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” Turner said.

He continued, “This is an unprecedented crisis for the Royal family, every day experiencing new allegations recently whilst trying to continue with their public duties whilst fighting a rearguard action over the Andrew allegations and trying to distance themselves from what Andrew has allegedly done to bring the Firm into disrepute.”

Turner said that the royal family is “walking on eggshells” every day, knowing that at any time, new allegations could surface.

Hilary Fordwich, a British Royals expert, told Fox News Digital that the public’s plummeting opinion on the monarchy is playing into William’s less than calm state.

“Given the current plummeting polls regarding the public’s perception of how the royals are handling this crisis, on top of the actual scandals, all the royals are feeling this, it’s no wonder Prince William, who from the outset wanted a tougher line drawn, is feeling less than calm,” Fordwich said.

Fordwich explained that not only have William and Middleton refrained from scandal, their morals have given the monarchy a saving grace.

“In defense of then Prince Charles, he was (around 2000–2001) against his brother when the appointment was being discussed, raising concerns regarding his brother not being suitable, that he would ‘just play golf and pursue women,’” she told Fox News Digital.

Fordwich continued, “From the 10 U.K. police jurisdictions investigating Andrew, and his treasonous behavior it will all have a ghastly impact on KCIII’s health, as all stress does on everyone. Should he abdicate to save the monarchy, it will be no doubt positioned as due to his declining health.”

Andrew was photographed arriving home to Sandringham Estate Thursday after spending roughly 10 hours in police custody.

The former prince could be seen in the backseat of a car as he arrived at Wood Farm, where he has been temporarily staying after being kicked out of the Royal Lodge.

Authorities arrested Andrew on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has been accused of sharing confidential trade info with Jeffrey Epstein. Emails released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of the Epstein files appeared to show former Prince Andrew sharing reports of official trade visits with the disgraced financier. One email showed Andrew sent Epstein the information five minutes after he received it.

Other police forces in the U.K. are also conducting their own investigations into Andrew’s ties to Epstein. The Metropolitan Police is investigating allegations London airports may have been used to facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation. “Separately, the Met is identifying and contacting former and serving officers who may have worked closely, in a protection capacity, with Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.

“They have been asked to consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard during that period of service may be relevant to our ongoing reviews and to share any information that could assist us,” the statement continued.

The Metropolitan Police added: “While we are aware of the extensive media reporting and commentary about this matter, as of today, no new criminal allegations have been made to the Met regarding sexual offences said to have occurred within our jurisdiction. We continue to urge anyone with new or relevant information to come forward. All allegations will be taken seriously and, as with any matter, any information received will be assessed and investigated where appropriate.”

Royal commentator Meredith Constant told Fox News Digital she believes Andrew allegedly sending Epstein confidential documents “only scratches the surface.”

Constant said the former prince’s conduct as U.K. trade envoy has been “a topic of concern for years now.”

“I have a feeling sending confidential documents to Jeffrey Epstein only scratches the surface,” Constant said. “It is past time for the U.K. Government to release files they’ve kept hidden from the public about Andrew’s time in public office.”

The exiled royal’s connection to Epstein eventually led to his arrest on his 66th birthday. Andrew allegedly sent confidential trade reports to Epstein in 2010. At the time, he was serving as Britain’s special envoy for international trade.

Specifically, emails released as part of the Epstein files appeared to show Andrew sharing reports of official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.

One email, dated November 2010, appeared to be forwarded by Andrew five minutes after he had been sent it. In another, on Christmas Eve 2010, he appeared to send Epstein a confidential brief on investment opportunities in the reconstruction of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

  • Andrew’s Post-Arrest Finances Revealed Amid Reports He’s Left With ‘No Money’ Following His ‘Poverty-Stricken Exile’

    [ad_1]

With the news of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s arrest, many are looking into his financial background especially with his links to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest on Feb. 19, 2026. “As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.”

“The man remains in police custody at this time,” the statement continued, adding that they will not be naming the arrested man.

King Charles made a statement regarding his younger brother’s arrest, saying he “learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.”

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course,” the king said, adding that he would not be commenting further amid the investigation into his brother, and that the rest of the royal family would “continue in our duty and service to you all.”

What is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s net worth?

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s net worth was previously reported to be $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. However, the site has not reported his current net worth.

When his titles were stripped, The Guardian reported that his only public stream of income was from his pension he gets from from his service in the navy between 1979 and 2001, which amounted to £20,000 a year. E! News also reported that Charles would not be stripping his brother of his funds. The BBC shortly reported after that Andrew was paid tens of thousands of pounds by a British businessman linked to a wealth management company which ripped off pension savers.

It’s estimated that Andrew had received £13M ($17.5M) at today’s prices in official payments for his work as a royal in the four decades leading up to his infamous 2019 BBC Interview. Queen Elizabeth also reportedly gave Andrew an allowance of £250K ($336K) annually, but he has not received money following her death.

The Daily Mail reported that he helped Greek and Swiss firms who were bidding for large contracts in Kazakhstan in 2011 was to have been paid a commission of 1%, or £3.85M ($5.1M), for helping broker a successful deal, according to the reports.

While his luxurious lifestyle was often questioned by the public and media, his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein might have added some money to his bank. The convicted sex offender had given £15K ($20K) to Sarah Ferguson to reduce some of her debts.

Right before his arrest, royal author Robert Hardman told The Daily Telegraph that the tensions between King Charles and his brother has left Andrew in a “poverty-stricken exile.”

“There was a time I think people expected, when Charles came to the throne, that he was going to be very tough on Andrew, he was going to kick him out of the house,” he said. “Charles was pretty charitable certainly for the first couple of years but the more pig-headed Andrew’s been about moving out of that house … then it turns out he hasn’t been telling the truth about his relationship with Epstein, it’s caused irreparable damage”.

“Up until the summer, Andrew’s view was, ‘I’ve got a lease on the house, I’m going to stay there and pursue private business activities and pay my own way’,” the author observed. “Now it turns out that he wasn’t strictly true about Epstein so the King has taken all his titles, all his business deals have fallen apart, the guy’s got no money, he can’t keep the house standing.

Who is inheriting Prince Andrew’s money?

While it isn’t public knowledge of what Prince Andrew will be leaving his daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, they will not be inheriting his coveted Royal Lodge following his eviction.

“[This] would only have been possible while the lease remained in place,”  property expert Elliot Castle said. “Once that lease is surrendered or terminated, there is nothing to pass on. From a property standpoint, that closes the door entirely. Royal Lodge would revert fully to the Crown Estate, with no residual claim for Andrew or his daughters.”

A source told RadarOnline: “Neither princess needs Royal Lodge for housing, but losing a $40million asset changes the shape of their futures,” adding, “They feel they are paying the price for decisions they did not make. The anger is real, and it is directed squarely at how their father’s scandal keeps shrinking their options.

  • King Charles fears Andrew scandal not over as Epstein fallout threatens monarchy: experts

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

King Charles’ strategy to contain the fallout surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is unraveling, multiple royal experts told Fox News Digital.

As the fallen prince turns 66 on Feb. 19, the monarch is said to be increasingly concerned that more accusations about his brother’s connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein could soon come to light.

“The road is narrowing for Andrew as unprecedented bombshell revelations drop daily,” British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital.

ANDREW FACES FINAL HUMILIATION AS KING CHARLES ERASES ROYAL LEGACY COMPLETELY WITH ‘NOT MUCH SYMPATHY’: EXPERT

“There is an air of chaos as King Charles is also seemingly being pushed down this narrowing road,” she shared.

“The public is calling for accountability, and it seems the royal family can’t get ahead of the curve, let alone on top of the current public outcry. As King Charles endures a verbal battering, being thrown into the pot of blame, many wonder if he can read the room.”

Chard’s comments followed remarks by Vanity Fair correspondent and royal author Katie Nicholl, who told the outlet the 77-year-old king is concerned “that more is yet to come.”

WATCH: KING CHARLES MUST ‘CONTROL’ THE HOUSE OF WINDSOR: AUTHOR

“There’s a sense of not knowing what is coming next, and that is destabilizing,” an insider told the outlet. “The king has done everything he can; he has stripped Andrew of his titles, removed him from his home, and is trying to keep Andrew out of the picture, but it is proving to be impossible.”

On Oct. 30, the king stripped his disgraced brother of his princely title and evicted him from his royal mansion.

Demands had been growing for Buckingham Palace to act amid reports about Andrew’s friendship with Epstein and renewed allegations from one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, whose posthumous memoir was released that month.

Andrew, long regarded as the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite son, faced renewed public outrage after emails also revealed he stayed in contact with Epstein longer than he previously admitted.

Andrew now lives on the king’s Sandringham estate, Britain’s Press Association reported. He is temporarily staying at Wood Farm cottage while his permanent residence, Marsh Farm cottage, undergoes repairs. According to multiple reports, the king is personally funding Andrew’s living arrangements.

“King Charles hasn’t completely kicked Andrew to the curb, funding Andrew’s living situation at present,” Chard explained. “His reasoning is likely due to a mix of family obligations and a desire to maintain control over the situation. Supporting Andrew privately allows the king to manage the narrative and minimize damage to the monarch. The irony is that it isn’t going to plan.”

“Despite Andrew’s tarnished reputation, King Charles agreed to look out for his brother,” Chard continued.

“He made that promise to their mother. The queen had a strong sense of duty and family obligation, which may have led her to request that King Charles look after Andrew. Andrew’s emotional and overall well-being was of great importance to her.”

Andrew’s swift relocation came as Thames Valley Police confirmed they were investigating claims that Epstein flew another woman to Britain to have sex with the king’s brother. A lawyer for the alleged victim told the BBC the encounter occurred in 2010 at Andrew’s former residence, Royal Lodge.

The allegations are separate from those made by Giuffre, who claimed she had been trafficked to Britain to have sex with Andrew in 2001, when she was just 17.

In an email dated March 23, 2011, an attorney for an exotic dancer alleged that Epstein and Mountbatten-Windsor asked her to take part in a threesome at the sex offender’s Florida home, according to The Associated Press.

Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler and author of “The Royal Insider,” told Fox News Digital that “the weight of monarchy weighs heavily” on the king.

“He is a father, a brother, a husband,” he said. “He has the weight of everybody on his shoulders. I often think to myself, he waited so long for this job. He waited so long to be king and wanted it so badly. I wonder if now that he has it, he should think, ‘Be careful what you wish for because in the end you get it.’ And now he has it. And what a job he has now.”

“His brother has gone rogue, and I don’t think we’ve seen the last of that yet,” Burrell warned.

“What Charles is trying to do at the moment is control the House of Windsor. If he can contain it and keep it all in its separate compartments, I think he’ll win. But he has to manage it very carefully. He can’t let people just ride roughshod over him because he’s king. Charles makes the rules. The family should abide by them.”

Other correspondence between Epstein and someone believed to be Mountbatten-Windsor shows Epstein offering to arrange a date between the man and a 26-year-old Russian woman, The Associated Press reported.

The man, who signs off simply as “A,” later suggested that he and Epstein have dinner in London, either at a restaurant or Buckingham Palace.

It’s also noted that the former prince’s residence at Royal Lodge has long been a point of contention between the king and his brother.

After Charles became king in 2022, he sought to move his brother into a smaller residence on the Windsor Castle estate, the outlet reported.

Mountbatten-Windsor refused, citing a lease that runs through 2078. But pressure for Andrew to leave intensified in October as lawmakers and the public questioned the favorable terms of his 30-room Royal Lodge lease, managed by the Crown Estate.

“Wood Farm and Marsh Farm are private residences funded privately by the king,” British royals expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital. “He is thereby honoring the late queen’s wishes. There is no possibility of any rehabilitation for Andrew.”

“The king is known to be forgiving — viewing it as his Christian duty as head of the Church of England — and bound by duty to protect both his brother and the monarchy by isolating him,” Fordwich said. “By funding Andrew, the king retains control. It’s containment with compassion.”

But not everyone agrees with the king’s approach, said Fordwich.

Prince William has been strongly behind all the isolation of his uncle,” she said. “He wants total obscurity, full banishment. He isn’t going to protect Andrew. But the king is thinking about risk management, attempting damage control and containment.

“If left to his own devices, Andrew might turn to unsavory ways to make money, per his track record, or write a book or consider pay-for-tell-all avenues or sketchy deals, adding to the existing crisis.”

  • Ex-Prince Andrew ignores US Epstein probe requests as experts warn of ‘ghastly’ optics for royal family

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been dodging the House Oversight Committee as members of the US committee have been urgently trying to speak with him about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

Oversight Committee member Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday that the department has sent ex-Prince Andrew letters, wishing to speak to him.

“We have not. And we absolutely have sent letters. We want to actually talk to Prince Andrew. What’s happening now over in the UK is pretty stunning, and it’s actually a show of what happens when the government listens to the public,” Garcia said. “There are actually things happening to those that have been involved.”

Hilary Fordwich, British royals expert, told Fox News Digital that Andrew’s choice to ignore the United States may be an act of “delusion,” wishing away his Epstein connection.

EX-PRINCE ANDREW LEAVES ROYAL MANSION ‘IN DEAD OF NIGHT’ AFTER COMPROMISING EPSTEIN PHOTOS SURFACE: EXPERT

“He erroneously must be under the delusion that his silence & evasion will make this go away,” she began.

“It’s not going to recede, but given how disastrous his NewsNight interview was he’s obviously either afraid of being questioned and or knows it will result in even more revolting revelations. Probably, therefore, any testimony is more likely to be in a written testimony as this stasis can’t continue. Either way he’s in a lose lose situation as his silence is feeding the media frenzy.”

Fordwich said the optics of Andrew not being compliant is “ghastly” not only for himself, but members of the royal family.

“The optics & facts of all of this are ghastly either way for him & for the monarchy. Hence all the distance that has been created between him & the rest of the family.”

    — Hilary Fordwich, British royals expert

“The optics & facts of all of this are ghastly either way for him & for the monarchy. Hence all the distance that has been created between him & the rest of the family. They have been forthright in stating there will be full cooperation with the UK police,” she said.

PRINCE WILLIAM’S ‘ZERO TOLERANCE’ TESTED AS SARAH FERGUSON EMAILS REVEAL CRUDE COMMENT TO EPSTEIN: EXPERT

According to Fordwich, Prince William is “exasperated” with his Uncle for not cooperating with the Epstein investigation.

“Prince William, whose priority is preservation of the monarchy, is adamant regarding isolating his revolting uncle and won’t shield him from any fallout, remaining per his resent statement ‘focused on the victims’. He is exasperated that his uncle is refusing to cooperate or indeed to even answer US officials who wasn’t a transcribed interview,” she said.

Fordwich doesn’t believe a citizen of the UK can be compelled to speak to members of the US government, but noted that a former subpoena would be more compelling.

“Being now a UK private citizen residing outside the US I don’t believe he can easily be compelled, but a formal subpoena could be issued. Such pressure of both legal demands & those from the victims & their respective families are more than likely given the penchant for spectacle by US lawmakers,” she said.

According to the New York Post, Garcia formally requested testimony from Andrew in 2025.

Ian Pelham Turner, a Royal expert, believes Andrew is staying silent to keep the public waiting on what he’ll do next.

“The Royal family will know he knows the family skeletons and if allegedly he is short of money or so angry at what has happened to him he could venture into a kiss and tell book which could bring a new fortune to him globally,” Turner said.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, told Fox News Digital that Andrew never intended to help US lawmakers in their Epstein case.

“Andrew always promised to aid US lawmakers but clearly never intended to. The problem is, despite the Prime Minister’s recent urging, he cannot be forced to,” Fitzwilliams said. “It remains the supreme irony that the only person to be guilty and behind bars in this grotesque monument to the evils of the global patriarchy is Ghislaine Maxwell, who was Epstein’s fixer.”

“I have no idea who is advising Andrew but with the police assessing two cases he should be considering exile in the Middle East. What most people rightly feel is that he should get a visit from the police and the bizarre series of circumstances which the Epstein Files have brought to light should be investigated fully, with the full co-operation of the Palace,” he explained.

Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, told Fox News Digital that Congress may choose to hold him in contempt, but without formal criminal charges, Andrew may be able to “run out the clock.”

“In the court of public opinion, Andrew self-incriminated a long time ago. It remains to be seen if those allegations and assumptions ever matriculate to formal charges in an American court of law,” Aldridge said.

Eldridge used Andrew’s infamous BBC interview, and the fallout afterward, as an example of what he may be considering when it comes to speaking out on his latest Epstein connections.

“At this point, his only public statements should be under Congressional subpoena or threats of extradition by federal courts in the United States. Even then, he’ll likely back-channel a diplomatic deferral,” Eldridge said.

In 2019, Andrew stepped back as a senior royal following a disastrous BBC interview in which he tried to address his ties to the late convicted sex offender. Over a decade ago, Virginia Giuffre accused Ghislaine Maxwell of trafficking her to Andrew. Guiffre died by suicide in April 2025.

On Jan. 30, the Department of Justice released more than 3 million pages of records related to Epstein, including personal emails. The former Duke and Duchess of York appeared in the newly released email exchanges and photos. Three images reportedly showed Andrew on all fours above an unidentified woman on the ground.

Inclusion in the files does not necessarily imply wrongdoing.

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital they don’t answer for Andrew as he’s no longer a working royal. Fox News Digital reached out to Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) for further comment.

  • Princess Sofia of Sweden breaks silence on Epstein encounters after DOJ file release

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Princess Sofia is speaking out publicly for the first time about her past connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On Feb. 10, the 41-year-old addressed reporters before appearing at the Ctrl + Rights Youth Summit at the Intiman Theater in Stockholm.

“I met him in a couple of social settings,” said the wife of Prince Carl Philip about Epstein, according to Sweden’s TV4 via an English translation.

“Now that I have read about the horrific crimes he subjected young women to, I’m so grateful that I’ve had nothing to do with him since those few occasions in my 20s.

“My thoughts go out to all the victims, and I hope there is justice in this.”

The Swedish royal added that she met Epstein at a social event and a film screening.

“Thank goodness it was just that,” she said.

Royal commentator Amanda Matta told Fox News Digital that when a senior member of the royal family publicly addresses Epstein head-on, it’s no small thing. It’s a bold move that puts accountability and public trust front and center.

“Princess Sofia’s decision to address this directly is significant because she didn’t necessarily have to,” Matta explained.

“She’s seen as a possible victim, not an intimate associate or someone who maintained contact with Epstein after his conviction. Other royals with closer Epstein ties have, so far, relied on official palace statements or chosen to stay silent,” Matta added.

“Sofia’s inclusion in the files underscores how large and enticing Epstein’s social circle was in the early 2000s, even to young women.

“She is absolutely right to remark ‘thank goodness’ that her ties to him did not go beyond a few brushes at public events. For that reason, this story is unlikely to be damaging to her public image in the long run. By speaking now, she’s also prevented further speculation from taking off.”

The princess broke her silence about a week and a half after the Department of Justice (DOJ) released more than 3 million records connected to the late financier, including his personal emails.

The latest batch included three photos of Britain’s Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the ground on her back. The woman is fully clothed, and her face is blacked out.

In December, the Royal Court of Sweden acknowledged that Princess Sofia met Epstein “on a few occasions” after newly surfaced emails appeared to link the royal to the late convicted sex offender.

The former model and reality TV starlet met the disgraced financier through her mentor, Swedish businesswoman Barbro Ehnbom, in 2005, according to emails published by the Swedish outlet Dagens Nyheter and cited by People.

“The recent media reporting regarding Princess Sofia has given rise to speculation about the princess and her alleged relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,” a spokesperson for the Royal Court of Sweden told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“The Royal Court notes the significant media interest in this matter,” the spokesperson shared.

“At the same time, it is important that the reporting remains focused on what is relevant. No one can be expected to remember every person they have encountered throughout their life; however, Princess Sofia recalls meeting Epstein on a few occasions about 20 years ago.

“We wish to clarify that these meetings took place in social settings, such as at a restaurant and a movie premiere,” the statement continued. “Reports that the princess received help from Epstein with acting lessons or with a visa to the United States are incorrect.

“The princess has never been dependent on him in any way, nor has she had any contact with him for the past 20 years,” the statement concluded.

Ehnbom reportedly wrote in a December 2005 email, “This is Sofia, an aspiring actress who just arrived in New York. She’s the girl I told you about before I left, who I thought you might like to meet. Maybe we can visit before you go on holiday?” The message included a photo.

Epstein reportedly replied, “I’m in the Caribbean. Does she want to come for a couple of days? I’ll send a ticket.”

It’s believed that Epstein was inviting Sofia to Little Saint James, his privately owned island, where he was accused of sex trafficking minors.

The Swedish Royal Court told the outlet that Sofia was “introduced to the person in question on a few occasions around 2005.” Officials also noted that Sofia did not accept the invitation to join Epstein in the Caribbean.

The outlet also published a 2006 email from Epstein’s assistant to Ehnbom that said, “Jeffrey wonders what really happened with Camilla. Did you tell her she has a ticket to New York anytime she wants?”

“I think he means Sofia, the little beautiful dark-haired girl who had her friend Camilla with her,” Ehnbom reportedly replied. It was noted that Epstein offered both women spots at an acting school, but there were issues with their visas.

Fox News Digital reached out to Ehnbom for comment.

In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida to state charges of procuring a minor for prostitution and solicitation of prostitution. More than a decade later, in 2019, he was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors. He died that year at age 66 while awaiting trial.

“In the mid-2000s, Sofia was an aspiring actress and model trying to establish herself in New York,” Matta previously told Fox News Digital.

“Unfortunately, Jeffrey Epstein’s social web touched nearly every corner of that world. Being introduced to him at that time doesn’t mean she was complicit in, or even aware of, what would later come to light about his crimes. If anything, young women like Sofia may well have been the ones being groomed, not the other way around.”

“They tend to favor calm, pragmatic damage control over the defensive or drawn-out approach we often see from the British royals. I doubt Sofia will face any formal repercussions unless more details emerge that shed light on actual misconduct, given how long ago this took place and how firmly she’s distanced herself from it.”

“If anything, the fact that she addressed this perceived link to Epstein head-on may reinforce positive perceptions of her.”

  • Ex-Prince Andrew entangled in Epstein’s ‘House of Horrors’ triggers new nightmare for Prince William: experts

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s entanglement in Jeffrey Epstein’s “House of Horrors” has become a nightmare for King Charles III and his heir, Prince William, who are desperately trying to distance themselves from it.

The disgraced former royal appears in three newly released photos from the latest batch of files made public by the Department of Justice in connection with the investigation into the convicted sex offender.

In the images, the ex-Duke of York is seen on all fours above an unidentified woman lying on her back. The woman is fully clothed in all three photos, and her face is blacked out.

“There used to be a very famous series in the U.K. called ‘Hammer House of Horrors,’” royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital. “Now we are seeing the modern-day equivalent of the ‘House of Horrors’ with the image of Andrew on all fours, sending both King Charles and Prince William into apoplexy.”

“Prince William must be thanking God that he has taken on a new troubleshooter fixer to try and distance ‘The Firm’ from further ridicule,” Turner added.

Fox News Digital reached out to Andrew’s attorney for comment. Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital it does not comment on matters concerning the king’s younger brother, as he is no longer a working royal.

Inclusion in the files does not necessarily imply wrongdoing. Still, the optics are deeply damaging for an already frustrated king and the Prince of Wales, multiple royal experts told Fox News Digital.

Two of the photos, released Jan. 30, show Andrew crouched on the ground with his hand resting on the woman’s stomach as he looks down at her. A third shows him on his knees with his hands on either side of her body, looking directly at the camera.

Additional context, including where and when the photos were taken, was not provided by the Department of Justice. The newly released files also include email exchanges between Epstein and a contact listed as “The Duke,” which is believed to refer to Andrew, 65.

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that William, 43, is reportedly “furious” that a tougher stance has not been taken against his disgraced uncle.

“William believes Andrew is obliterating the monarchy’s good work, and it’s become vulnerable to the stream of bombshell revelations,” Chard explained. “King Charles had wanted to keep his brother close by. However, I believe William will put his foot down and prevent his uncle from moving so close to his family.”

“Meanwhile, Andrew — under renewed scrutiny — continues to maintain his innocence as the Department of Justice drip-feeds uncomfortable, tawdry images related to him,” she said.

“Andrew remains defiant, digging in his heels. There is little King Charles can do at this point other than urge his brother to testify before U.S. Congress or push him further into exile abroad.”

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called on Andrew to testify before Congress following the latest release of Epstein-related files.

“You can’t be victim-centered if you’re not prepared to do that,” he continued. “Epstein’s victims have to be the priority.”

Royal commentator Meredith Constant told Fox News Digital that while senior royals grapple with the ongoing “Andrew problem,” the disgraced former prince appears entirely unfazed.

“This latest file drop is explosive for three big reasons,” said Constant. “First, we have photos of Andrew on all fours over a young woman. Denying this is a lot harder than denying you’re the ‘Invisible Man’ in email exchanges.

“There’s a second alleged victim who says she was flown to the U.K. to engage in sex acts at Andrew’s home, Royal Lodge. There are also the 2010 emails from Andrew seemingly arranging a dinner with Epstein and some young women at Buckingham Palace, where they will have ‘lots of privacy.’”

“It is inconceivable that no one saw or heard anything pertinent to an investigation. The king’s strategy has been swiftly pulling titles, distancing himself from Andrew while bringing his nieces further into the royal fold. That speaks of self-protection, not transparency or true accountability for Andrew, who has denied all allegations against him.”

“Prince William was smart to hire a PR crisis expert,” Constant noted. “He won’t want the stain of his uncle following him into his future reign.”

“This is what the palace has long dreaded. It has been impossible to be proactive as they don’t know what is coming next, and they do not act for Andrew. This is likely to continue for a considerable time, with thousands of images and emails to be sifted through. It will get worse.”

Andrew announced in October that he was giving up his royal titles, and the palace confirmed later that month that the king had “initiated a formal process to remove the style, titles and honours of Prince Andrew.”

The decision followed Andrew’s initial step back from public life in 2019 after his BBC interview, in which he discussed his relationship with Epstein, who died that year.

Andrew was accused of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers. Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit alleging she was forced to have sex with the disgraced duke three times, including when she was 17. The case was settled out of court in 2022, with Andrew admitting no wrongdoing.

U.K. Prime Minister Kier Starmer called on the former Prince Andrew to testify before Congress after the latest Epstein files release.

The trove of documents includes photos of the former prince, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, kneeling over an unidentified woman. Two of the photos, released on Jan. 30, show Mountbatten-Windsor crouched on the ground with his hand resting on her stomach as he looked down at her. A third shows him on his knees with his hands resting on either side of her body as he looks at the camera.

Starmer confirmed his support for Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in the U.S. in comments to reporters on Saturday.

“In terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information,” Starmer said.

“You can’t be victim-centered if you’re not prepared to do that,” he continued. “Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority.”

Mountbatten-Windsor announced in mid-October he was giving up his royal titles, and the palace announced later that month that King Charles “initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.”

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released the newest photos last week. They previously called on Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in November, when his titles were removed.

In another drop of photos, released on Dec. 19, Mountbatten-Windsor can be seen lying down on the laps of five people, whose faces have all been blacked out, while Maxwell and a sixth unknown person with their faces blacked out stand behind them.

While none of the photographs showed Mountbatten-Windsor with Epstein, People magazine reported at the time that the evidence also included a screenshot of an email Epstein sent in March 2011 to someone listed as “The Duke,” believed to be Andrew, who was then the Duke of York.

It’s likely that the move can’t come soon enough for the rest of the royal family, which has also endured his now-settled sexual abuse lawsuit brought by the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre. According to Giuffre, Maxwell recruited her as a teen at Donald Trump-owned resort Mar-a-Lago before allegedly forcing her to have sex with the then-prince, a claim Mountbatten-Windsor denies.

A photo of Giuffre and Mountbatten-Windsor that was taken by Epstein has long been pointed to as proof that the royal’s repeated denials couldn’t be believed. A photo from the December Epstein files dump that depicted Maxwell and Mountbatten-Windsor, the latter laying on top of a group of seated women, was presented as further evidence that Andrew’s relationship with Epstein was more than a passing acquaintance. The photos uncovered this weekend do nothing to undercut those arguments.

Another Epstein files image of man who appears to be Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor with an unidentified woman.

Also in the latest release were more emails between Epstein and a correspondent writing under the name “the Duke,” who many believe to be Mountbatten-Windsor. None of the emails unearthed so far appear to indicate criminal activity, but are—like the photos—disconcerting. In one, Epstein offers to introduce his correspondent to a woman, writing (sic throughout) “she 26, russian, clevere beautiful, trustworthy and yes she has your email.”

In another, the Duke writes of a proposed meet-up with Epstein, saying ”we could have dinner at Buckingham Palace and lots of privacy.”

When asked if Epstein had ever dined at Buckingham Palace, a spokesperson referred Vanity Fair to its October announcement regarding Andrew’s title change, which concludes“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.” Vanity Fair has also reached out to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for comment, but has not received a response as of publication time.

  • Andrew Has Reportedly ‘Turned His Wrath’ on ‘Perfect Villain’ Kate After Being ‘Forced Out’ of the Royal Family—He Sees Her as ‘Poison’

    [ad_1]

It’s been months since ex-Prince Andrew was stripped of his official titles, but his drama with the royal family isn’t done yet.

A source told Heat World UK in a report published on December 22 that Andrew has “become completely fixated” on Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton as the reason for why he lost his royal titles and was essentially exiled from the family. (Buckingham Palace announced in October 2025 that Andrew would no longer be known as “Prince Andrew” and that he would be moving out of his residence at Royal Lodge. The palace also confirmed that all royal “style, titles, and honours” Andrew previously had would be removed.)

Andrew has become completely fixated on Kate. He keeps going on about how she’s a ‘silent assassin’ who’s been quietly pulling the strings and whipping William into a frenzy about him,” the insider said. “He’s absolutely certain that major decisions about his future have been run past her and William, but instead of blaming William for getting him forced out he’s turned his wrath on Kate.”

The source continued, “He has this warped belief that William is being controlled by her, that she’s whispering in his ear and turning him against his own blood. He’s saying she’s poisoned the well against him.”

According to the insider, Andrew is especially hurt by Kate because he believed they were on “good terms” before his royal exile. “What makes it sting even more for Andrew is that they used to be on perfectly good terms, she was always very polite and warm, he believed she genuinely liked him,” the source said. “Now she won’t give him the time of day and he’s seeing it as her deliberately freezing him out and using her influence to make sure he stays sidelined.”

The insider continued, “He’s now lashing out and telling anyone who will listen that she’s the reason he’s been booted from his own family. He’s vowing to get back at her, which is not going to go down well with William when he finds out.”

The source also claimed that Andrew’s “bitterness” has led him to find someone to blame for his exile, and that person happens to be Kate. “Andrew is absolutely seething and looking for someone to blame, and in his mind Kate has become the perfect villain,” the insider said. “He’s convinced himself she’s far more powerful than she lets on, that she’s quietly steering decisions behind the scenes while maintaining this serene public image. He’s a very bitter man.”

The source continued, “True to form, Andrew refuses to accept that his own actions landed him where he is now. Instead, he’s badmouthing Kate and, while there are still a few people within the palace that speak to him, he’s been venting to them and warning them not to be fooled by her ‘nice girl’ act.”

The insider also claimed that Andrew feels negatively toward Kate because of her close relationship with his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, which he believes he should have had. “He resents that Kate has emerged as this central, respected figure while he’s been pushed into total irrelevance’” the source said. “In his mind, she’s stolen the authority and standing he believes should have remained with him as the Queen’s son.”

As for Kate, the source denied that the Princess of Wales has been leading a “campaign” against Andrew, though he has been “disgusted” by reports of his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “From Kate’s side, she’s simply not engaging with Andrew. She’s by no means on some campaign against him but naturally she’s disgusted by his behaviour and agrees with the King’s decision.” the insider said. “It’s very awkward for her so she’s avoiding Andrew and saying she’s glad he’s out of her hair. Andrew is so narcissistic he can’t understand why she would want to distance herself.”

The source continued, “Instead of having a shred of self-awareness he’s turned it into this big sob story whereas usual he’s the big victim.”
