    There was a deputy-involved shooting Sunday night at NW 17th Avenue and NW 95 Street in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, according to the sheriff’s office.

    Due to police activity, NW 17th Avenue is closed from NW 95th to NW 103rd streets, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said in a news statement.

    “Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes,” the sheriff’s office said.

    The sheriff’s office said this information is preliminary and details about the incident may change.

  • Couple arrested for murder, child abuse after 7-year-old dies and 5-year-old hurt at Roseville home

    A couple living at a Roseville home have been arrested on suspicion of murder and child abuse after a girl died Monday and another child was injured, police said. Police said officers around 7:37 a.m. went to Oahu Court north of Blue Oaks Boulevard for a medical aid call after an adult resident in the home reported an unresponsive 7-year-old girl. There, they found a girl with apparent injuries who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Medical personnel later declared her dead.Officers found another 5-year-old girl in a bedroom who also had injuries, police said. She was also taken to the hospital. Two other children were sleeping inside the house and were not injured.Jessica Savangsy, 26, and Retuquel Dupree, 27, were booked into the South Placer County Jail for charges including murder, conspiracy, and felony child abuse, records showed.Savangsy and Dupree were in a dating relationship and lived at the home, and Savangsy was the mother of both of the victims, Roseville police said. The Citrus Heights Police Department said Dupree was formerly employed with the department from June 8 to Aug. 5 in 2021. They would not share more about his former position or the reason for his departure, but confirmed he did not quit. KCRA 3’s Lee Anne Denyer observed a mobile command center for Roseville police near the crime scene, a gray house that had its garage door open and police tape around it. Oahu Court was taped off from the public.     SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — People living in the Montalvin Manor neighborhood in San Pablo are being told to lock their doors and windows and stay inside early Monday morning due to law enforcement activity, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

    This is in the area of Rachel Road and Heather Drive.

    According to an alert sent by the Sheriff’s office, people should stay off the phone and not call 911 unless they need to report a life-threatening emergency.
