    Los Angeles Rams running back Ronnie Rivers is sprinting all the way to the bank — on his birthday no less.

    Over the weekend, the NFL rookie hit the “Mega Progressive Jackpot” at a 3-card poker table at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, winning a cool $514,837.

    Rivers, an undrafted player from Fresno State, was in town celebrating his and his mom’s birthday, according to Fox5 Vegas. His luck at the poker table earned him almost 70% of his first-year salary, which was $705,000.

    A video of the moment it happened was posted on Twitter.

    A man can be heard shouting, “Ronnie!” as a stunned Rivers jumps up from his seat and paces around the table.

    Later, Rivers took to Twitter to thank the man upstairs for his good fortune.

    BetOnline.ag, one of the world’s largest online sports betting, poker and casino platforms, became the first gaming operator to add ApeCoin to its approved cryptocurrency processing list, the company announced today via the Odds PR agency.

    ApeCoin ($APE) began trading on crypto exchanges Thursday, March 17, after months of hype and speculation behind the ERC-20 token created by Yuga Labs, which is the parent company of the popular NFT project, Bored Ape Yacht Club.

    BetOnline, which publicly announced its entry into the NFT market in February after purchasing Bored Ape #320 for $375,000 during Super Bowl week, was an early adopter of cryptocurrency. The website first began accepting Bitcoin for transactions in 2010.

    Outside of Bitcoin, BetOnline.ag accepts more than a dozen altcoins for deposits and withdrawals on its platform, including Ethereum, Dogecoin, Avalanche, Cardano, Polygon, Solana and USDC.

    For March Madness, BetOnline is currently offering a 110% matching bonus for new customers depositing with cryptocurrency and a 45% deposit bonus for existing customers.

    Following last month’s record-setting edition at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced its annual fall series, WSOP Europe, and its initial international stops for the 2023-24 WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C).

    Returning for its 14th season, the 2023 edition of WSOP Europe is set to unfold at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, from October 25 to November 15. The tournament’s Main Event will kick off on November 10. Check the full schedule of the tournaments here. 

    King’s Resort owner Leon Tsoukernik shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming series, stating: “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue hosting the most prestigious tournament series in Europe, this year offering even higher guaranteed prize pools and new exciting events.” He also emphasized the resort’s commitment to deliver “unmatched service and hospitality to all poker players.”

    The WSOP-C also kicks off its 2023-24 international run on August 13 in London, with eight confirmed stops scheduled to date and more stops to be announced soon on WSOP’s official website. In addition to earning a spot in the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions” event at the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, each champion from the live or online circuit events will also get a WSOP gold ring.

    This year features 15 bracelet events, with the Main Event coming in at a €10,000 ($11,007) buy-in with €5 million ($5.5 million) GTD. In 2022, the WSOP Europe Main Event beat the record for entrants with 763 participants, resulting in a €7,248,500 ($7.9 million) prize pool.
