  • PIERCE THE VEIL Announce Massive Homecoming Show In San Diego – Metal Injection

    [ad_1]

Pierce The Veil have been on tour since June this past year, starting in the United States, heading over to the UK and Europe for a quick run, and then will be heading to Australia before finishing up with another run in the US, nearly a year later. But, 2025 saw new heights for Pierce The Veil as they opened for blink-182 the year before, and saw several of their songs rapidly circulating the internet with two and three year old songs being awarded gold and platinum certifications. It was insane run for the band – so, expect a rather insane send-off for the end of their I Can’t Hear You tour.

Frontman Vic Fuentes comments about the newly announced show (via Lambgoat): “We’ve saved the biggest and best for San Diego. There’s no place we’d rather close out the greatest tour of our career than right here in our hometown. This is more than a show to us. It’s a celebration of our roots and a massive thank you to the community that raised us. Headlining Petco Park is a defining moment for our band, and we’re going all out to deliver the biggest, loudest, and most unforgettable night of our lives for the fans who got us here.”

Performing at Petco Park – where Pierce The Veil threw the ceremonial first pitch back in 2024 – on September 12th, there will be hotel and VIP packages for those who wish to attend. Blink-182 play Orlando this week

Pop-punk icons Blink-182 and emo band Pierce the Veil may very well make fans want to “take off their pants and jacket,” and who would blame them with this hot lineup?

After co-vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge rejoined in Blink-182 in 2022 — after a seven-year absence — the band released a track, “Edging,” to mark the occasion. This tour serves as further notice of the trio being back together, revisiting hits like “I Miss You” and “All The Small Things” and even releasing new music — like recent album One More Time.

With openers jxdn and Pierce the Veil, the audience is sure to have nostalgic flashbacks of, say, skating around the neighborhood listening to Collide With the Sky … or other emo anthems to soothe the bruises from falling off said board.

    7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, Kia Center, $130.

  • Why Yellowcard Reunited and Recorded a New EP

Why Yellowcard Reunited and Recorded a New EP

    [ad_1]

This past summer, Yellowcard reunited and performed dozens of shows at large venues across the country. They also released their first new music since 2016.

The EP Childhood Eyes returns to the sound that made them popular, but the songwriting reflects their maturity and sense of nostalgia. It includes collaborations with Dashboard Confessional and Pierce The Veil, as well as the lead single “Childhood Eyes.”

The reunion coincides with the recent pop punk renaissance as younger bands reach back for those Y2K power chords and hooks. Yellowcard is enjoying the ride. An appearance at When We Were Young on Oct. 21 is the only thing currently on the band’s calendar, but fans should feel optimistic about future shows.

Will there be any more new music? Although there are no plans for a new album, a statement on the band’s Instagram says, “The future is bright. We clearly have so much more to do.”

Watch frontman Ryan Key talk to Jordan Edwards and Demi Ramos about the reunion, making the EP, and the story behind “Ocean Avenue.”
