Microsoft has announced a generative-AI powered eraser for pictures, which gives you an easy way of removing unwanted elements from your photos. Windows Photos has long had a Spot Fix tool that can remove parts of an image for you, but the company says Generative erase is an enhanced version of the feature. Apparently, this newer tool can create “more seamless and realistic” results even when large objects, such as bystanders or clutter in the background, are removed from an image.
If you’ll recall, both Google and Samsung have their own versions of AI eraser tools on their mobile devices. Google’s used to be exclusively available on newer Pixel phones until it was rolled out to older models. Microsoft’s version, however, gives you access to an AI-powered photo eraser on your desktop or laptop computer. You only need to fire up the image editor in Photos to start using the feature. Simply choose the Erase option and then use the brush to create a mask over the elements you want to remove. You can even adjust the brush size to make it easier to select thinner or thicker objects, and you can also choose to highlight more than one element before erasing them all.
At the moment, though, access to Generative erase is pretty limited. It hasn’t been released widely yet, and you can only use it if you’re a Windows Insider through the Photos app on Windows 10 and Windows 11 for Arm64 devices.
Anthony Hopkins is an Oscar-winning actor who has a love for music and art.

“When you’re a certain age and becoming conscious that you’re inadequate at school – which I was – it’s a lonely feeling,” Hopkins told NPR in 2012. “And I look back on it all now as the greatest gift I could have been given, because it was the rocket fuel that sort of drove me to do something with my life … And here I am, composing at the age of 74.”

The Bear follows award-winning New York City chef Carmy Berzatto (White) as he returns to Chicago to manage his deceased brother’s sandwich shop. The Hulu series premiered in June 2022 and released its second season one year later. In November 2023, it was renewed for season 3.

Stern Pinball just launched a new pinball table based on Steven Spielberg’s classic thriller Jaws. It’s the latest in a long line of licensed movie-based games from Stern, which has released Jurassic Park, James Bond, Godzilla, Star Wars, and Ghostbusters-inspired tables over the past decade.
Jaws — purely based on photos of Stern’s new table; I haven’t played it yet — exemplifies what can be great about adapting properties for pinball. The table, designed by Keith Elwin, incorporates themes like a surprise great white shark appearance, the tension of harpooning said shark, and using a chum bucket to get ol’ Jaws’ attention. Naturally, it has samples of John Williams’ memorable score, and Stern even got Richard Dreyfuss back to record some voice lines for Jaws (e.g., “Shoot again!”).

The Bloody Chum Bucket
One of the unique sculpts for Jaws is a chum bucket attached to a Newton ball assembly that, when struck, shakes the bucket to “chum the waters.” Stern illustrates this chumming effect with red LED lights underneath the main playfield; they light up in a pattern that makes it look like blood is streaming through the water.

On the limited edition and premium versions of Jaws — but not on the “pro” entry-level version — there’s a raised platform that’s supposed to represent the Orca, Quint’s fishing boat. It has its own mini-flipper and a steering wheel spinner. In a nice design touch, there’s also a big shark jaw shaped bite taken out of the boat’s rear signage.

The Deadpool actor, 47, shared a photo recap of 2023 on Saturday, December 30, that started with a romantic snap of himself and Lively, 36, on the beach. The power couple’s careers are going to make 2024 a busy year. First, Reynolds’ movie IF is set to hit theaters in May. The film follows a young girl (Cailey Fleming) who develops the ability to see all of the Imaginary Friends in the world, most of whom were discarded. Then, the highly-anticipated Deadpool 3 will hit theaters in July. The movie finally unites Reynolds’ Wade Wilson with Jackman’s Wolverine and brings Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

His Hulu docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham, is expected to return for a third season sometime in 2024 as well.
Meanwhile, Lively is working on her adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s It Ends With Us. In addition to playing the lead, Lively is among the executive producers on the drama, which costars Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minaj and Justin Baldoni, who is pulling double-duty as the film’s director. Production was halted amid the writers and actors strikes last year, so it isn’t clear if It Ends With Us will be finished in time for the planned February 9, 2024, release date.
Below Deck fans were in for an adorable surprise when Kate Chastain shared a video from son Sullivan’s first Christmas celebration.
In an Instagram video uploaded on Sunday, December 24, Chastain, 40, gushed over her 7-month-old, who rocked a pair of pants resembling a Christmas tree.
“Look at those cute pants. Let me see those cute pants,” the reality star gushed as her son made adorable baby sounds at the camera.
This marks the first year that Chastain is enjoying the festivities with her baby boy. Chastain became a mom when she welcomed Sullivan in May. After her son’s arrival, Chastain praised the major milestones he had already reached.
“Sullivan’s 3 months now, so I think I’m finally finding a groove and I’m really enjoying it. I love it so much, but I am constantly shocked by how much work it is. And that’s coming from me, who was known on Below Deck for working quite a lot. It’s a lot of work that I love so much,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in August. “Postpartum was no big deal [for me] just because I was so distracted by having this baby. Tiger Woods brought his kids to work with him as he played the 2023 PNC Championship in Orlando on Saturday, December 16.
“For the first time, Sam Woods is caddying for her father today ❤️,” read a post on the official PGA Tour Instagram account that showed the 16-year-old helping her dad pick a club.
Meanwhile, son Charlie, 14, was playing alongside his father for the third year in a row. The PNC Championship, formerly known as the Father/Son Tournament, allows pro golfers to play alongside a family member. This is the first time Woods’ eldest daughter has appeared during the game.
“Sam was fantastic,” Wood told reporters at the game, per CBS Sports. “This is the first time she’s ever done this, so it couldn’t have been any more special for all of us.”

Several years after the cheating scandal, Woods told TIME in December 2015 that he and Nordegren were close pals and coparents. “Having the relationship that I have now with her is fantastic,” he said. “We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. … She talks to me about her life, I talk to her about my life. Kaitlin Olson has received her Eagles jacket signed by Kylie Kelce — and Jason Kelce’s wife approves.
The actress, 48, took to Instagram on Tuesday, December 12, to show off her one-of-a-kind letterman jacket.
“It has arrived and it’s glorious. (It’s also most definitely a men’s jacket after all. Oops.) Thank you @eaglesautism for your incredible work and @kykelce @jason.kelce and @killatrav for the fundraiser!” Olson captioned the post. “I was NOT wearing this last night and will not be held responsible for the outcome of the game. #gobirds.”

Kylie’s limited edition merch was in high demand when the auction for the Eagles Autism Foundation went live last month. The NFL team shared several photos of Kylie modeling the “iconic ’90s Eagles Letterman Jacket” once worn by the late Princess Diana to kick off the excitement in November.

Olson’s husband, Rob McElhenney, quickly became the bidder to beat when he put down $10,050 in the auction, writing via X (formerly Twitter) at the time, “A great cause and the greatest jacket ever made? Yes please. @JasonKelce @Eagles @eaglesautism.”
It didn’t take long for someone else to join the bidding war, which encouraged McElhenney to increase his offer to $35,000. “😮 Okay jabroni. I’m getting that jacket,” he shared via X alongside a screenshot of the message reading, “You’ve been outbid.”
McElhenney later learned his wife secretly secured the highly-coveted item. The couple later appeared on Jason, 36, and Travis Kelce‘s “New Heights” podcast to discuss the identity of the auction’s winner.
“I was just on Twitter … and I saw that the jacket was up for auction and it was a great foundation, something that we believe in and love and have a lot of connections to,” McElhenney said during the November 29 episode. “And I really love the jacket, I thought it was beautiful. I thought, ‘Hey, this is a great cause, a great jacket. Put me in for $10,000.’ And I think within a couple of days, someone came in for [$20,000].”
The actor recalled being shocked by how high the competing bid went, saying, “I thought, ‘Wow, alright. Now we’re getting serious.’ Now it feels personal.”
McElhenney recalled how he was initially convinced that Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was the secret bidder. “They were having issues [on the site] because I was smashing the button as hard as I could,” he teased. “I couldn’t believe somebody was immediately jumping on every time I bid.”
After McElhenney put in his final offer of $62,000, he received a message from his competition. “I got a text from somebody that I know who said, ‘I’ve been the one bidding against you, bozo,’” he continued. “It did not even cross my mind that this was a possibility. And it turned out that I live with this person.”

Olson, who married McElhenney in 2008, joined the podcast episode as well to discuss how she secretly got in on the bidding action.
“I find out on [social media] how much he’s bidding. And from Jason Kelce who’s saying he’s crashing the site. I was like, ‘No, no, I’ll be crashing the site,’” she quipped. “I win, basically. I win. … He will not be wearing the jacket, ever.”
The photo, taken by Josh Shinner, is a black and white portrait of William and Kate, both 41, with their children. Prince George, 10, stood next to his mother and Prince Louis, 5, was by his father while Princess Charlotte, 8, sits on a chair in the center. The family wore matching outfits: crisp button-down shirts with jeans. Charlotte and Louis even wore identical slip-on sneakers.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla also unveiled their Christmas card on Saturday, which used a photo of the couple in full coronation regalia. “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year,” the card reads.

The holidays cards come just one day after the royals gathered at the annual Together at Christmas carol service at London’s Westminster Abbey. The event, hosted by Kate, is organized to bring British locals together at the holidays and recognize those who’ve gone above and beyond to help the community.
Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, and husband James Matthews were in attendance alongside several of William’s extended family members. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Michael of Kent and Lady Gabriella Kingston were there as well as Peter Phillips, who accompanied sister Zara Tindall and his daughters, Savannah Phillips, 12, and Isla Phillips, 11. Last December, an insider exclusively told Us Weekly that Charles is “equally determined to bring in some new more modern traditions and implementations of his own as the family moves forward into a new era.” Still, he prioritized family. He extended invites to his 2022 celebration to sister Princess Anne as well as brother Prince Edward and wife Sophie, and even scandal-ridden brother Prince Andrew.
Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle, however, did not attend amid their estrangement from the royal family. It is expected that they will spend the holidays in the U.S. again in 2023.
It’s time for Andy Cohen and more celebrities to get lit this Hanukkah.

It was back in October when Josh and Lupita were spotted together at a concert in Los Angeles. At the time, Lupita was still publicly with her boyfriend, Sal Masekela — she quickly deleted pics with Sal from her Instagram after the concert photos surfaced — before eventually announcing they had split.
