Piers Morgan’s awkward blunder left Pete Wicks stunned into silence on the latest episode of Lorraine.
The controversial broadcaster joined the ITV show to speak about his book Woke Is Dead today (November 20). Lorraine Kelly was also in the company of reality TV star Pete, who recently interviewed PM Kier Starmer about mental health and parenting for his podcast.
As the Scottish host linked to Pete’s imminent appearance, Piers laughed: “There’s my gym bunny!”

Why did Piers Morgan mix up Pete Wicks with Joe Wicks?
Nothing was said for a long time after that. Pete is not necessarily known for his “gym bunny” figure or machismo, and Piers’ callout was ignored.
Piers proceeded to take down woke culture for the rest of his time on Lorraine. But just before heading off, he acknowledged the mistake he’d made.
“Oh by the way, a little bit embarrassing but I thought that was Joe Wicks earlier, not Pete Wicks!” he told Lorraine.
“So when I said he’s my gym bunny, I meant that he and I used to swap Peloton numbers because mine used to break all these records. He used to message me going, ‘How the hell are you doing these numbers?’ I went, ‘Because I’m an animal in the gym!’ I thought that’s who it was! Who’s Pete Wicks? Who is he? Which one’s he, are they related?”
Chuckling away, the talkshow host replied: “Please don’t ever change”.

Who is Joe Wicks?
Joe, who was definitely not a guest on Lorraine this morning, is a famous fitness coach.
Self-dubbed ‘The Body Coach’, the bearded star originally garnered social media attention for short recipe and home workout clips.
The Covid-19 lockdown was when he really exploded onto the scene though. Joe led the live ‘PE with Joe’ sessions online for families and they became a healthy distraction from all that was going on in the UK.
One class in particular achieved a Guinness World Record, with close to a million people tuning in. By doing these, he helped to raise £585,000 for the NHS and was subsequently awarded an MBE for his work.

What has Joe Wicks said about his MBE?
“I’m so proud that I’ve done something which helps so many people,” he told PA at the time.
“To all the children, the parents, the dinner ladies, the school teachers, everybody who took part in any one of my workouts, thank you for being there.”
Joe emotionally reflected: “My childhood and how I grew up, if you met me as a little boy you’d have thought, he’s not going to go anywhere, he’s not going to do anything great.
“But I’ve turned it around and I really am proud I’ve become this person who’s helping people.”
Pete Wicks has gushed about his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Przytsal – weeks after they shared a steamy on-stage kiss.
Two weeks ago (September 19) Pete Wicks and his best pal Sam Thompson took their Staying Relevant podcast to the O2 Arena for a live show.
The sold-out, action packed night included a dance between Pete and Jowita. And during it, they kissed numerous times, sparking rumours that she may be his girlfriend.
And now, Pete has opened up about the dance, gushing about his former Strictly partner.

Pete Wicks and Jowita relationship
Last year, Pete and Jowita were partnered together on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, making it the whole way to the semi-final.
But throughout their time on the show they sparked rumours that they may have been in a relationship. However, the pair always declined the rumours.
Two weeks ago, Pete and Jowita shared a few steamy on-stage kisses while performing live at the O2. However, following relationship rumours, insiders insisted they were just really good friends.
And now, Pete’s got nothing but praise for Jowita.

Pete praises Jowita
Speaking on the latest episode of the Staying Relevant Podcast, Pete and Sam were debriefing their night at the O2, when conversation turned to Pete’s dance with Jowita.
Pete admitted that they had rehearsed the dance around seven times, and four of them he had actually dropped Jowita.
He said: “We have to thank Jowita for the amount of work she put into it. Darling Jowita. To get me to a point that I could even put one foot in front of the other on the stage was just incredible. I didn’t drop her, thank [bleep].”
While he didn’t directly mention their kiss, Pete went on to admit he wouldn’t have gotten through it without Jowita, revealing how special she is.
The former TOWIE star explained: “It could have been a disaster. But we got through it and all of that is completely down to Jowita. She is one of the most special people. She’s so special, genuinely. Everything she did was just [bleep]ing incredible.”

Pete’s backing Jowita this Strictly season
When the conversation turned to Strictly, Pete admitted he was going to the first live show to support Jowita, and his close friend Vicky Pattison.
“I’m going for Jowita and Vicky. I’m looking forward to it, I have seen bits of Vicky’s. So, you know Jowita has Ross King, who I don’t know. But I have spoken to her and she says they laugh more than they dance.
“They’re having a great time. She’s got a great partner. So, she’s very happy.”
In the previous episode, before the partnerships were announced, Pete admitted one of the stars get an “unfair advantage” because they “get to dance with Jowita”.

Strictly star Jowita Przystal clears up ‘romance’ rumours with Pete Wicks
As Jowita and Pete make it further into the competition, rumours have continued to suggest that a romance has been forming behind the scenes.
While at the Pride Of Britain Awards last night (October 21), Jowita was put on the spot about whether there was any truth to the headlines.
“We have very good chemistry together as friends, we really get on well with each other, and we have so much fun together. And dancing is a bit like acting, so we’re telling a story every night on Saturday night, and I think we’re doing a pretty good job with that so…” she told OK! Magazine on the red carpet.
Clearing up the rumours, Jowita added: “But we’re very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we’re going to stay friends for life, to be honest.”

‘Sam is my favourite’
She even gushed about Pete’s best friend, I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson, who she has since met.
“Don’t tell Pete, but Sam is my favourite, I honestly love it when he comes round to the rehearsal room, he’s such a ray of sunshine,” she expressed.
“I always welcome him in, I absolutely adore this man, and I think him and Pete have such a beautiful relationship, their friendship is above and beyond. To have him and to have his support, he literally supports Pete all the way, so it’s just so lovely to see that.”
Strictly 2024 is back for its 20th year and already the nation’s favourite dance show has gone out with a bang.
Tonight’s episode (September 14) revealed who the 15 celebrities are paired with and what dances they will take on next week. However, a couple of fan-favourite professional dancers have not been teamed with a celebrity partner.
Despite making it to Blackpool with Angela Rippon last year, Kai Waddington has not been assigned a celebrity. Sadly, the same goes for Lauren Oakley and Carlos Gu.
That said, Lauren still admitted it feels “really special“ to be a part of Strictly’s 20th anniversary. “I’ve watched the show growing up. I watched the first episode, so I can’t believe I’m now part of it, especially in such a monumental year. It’s the best show on telly, so I’m not surprised it’s lasted 20 years, and I just feel really lucky to be part of it. It’s amazing,“ she said.

During week one, the pair will perform a Viennese Waltz to Benson Boone’s recent chart-topper, Beautiful Things.
Asked about his time on the Strictly Christmas Special last year, Jamie said: “That’s what swung me hook, line and sinker. I don’t quite know how I managed to win that, but this is a whole different ball game! I don’t think I can blag it for a whole 13 weeks.”

Asked if he thought theirs was a good match by the hosts, TV favourite Nick said: “Yes, absolutely. I wanted someone who’d be patient. She’s a world-class dancer, so how can it possibly go wrong? Although, it’s a bit like taking an F1 world champion and putting them in a beaten-up old builder’s van to race…. We’ll see how it goes. I have had a bit of body work done, though – a spray paint, literally!”
Their first dancing during week one will be a Jive to Starship’s We Built This City.
