I spontaneously booked a month-long trip to Paris with little time to plan and given my packing restraints, I ended up centering my Parisian wardrobe around a capsule wardrobe like no other. While I came into Paris with that expectation, reality struck me and a conversation with a Parisian friend revealed the truth.
He told me over drinks in Le Marais that French fashion isn’t exactly what Americans think it is. “It’s about breaking the rules. Paris girls will never wear a full look. They’ll even mix Zara with Hermes—they don’t care.” Hearing this halfway into my trip totally change the approach I had to my personal style moving forward.

Although we’ve had more than enough “May gray” days this year, we’ve also had quite a few sunny days (even if Colton and I have to drive from our Venice apartment to the Soho Warehouse pool in Downtown L.A. to find them). I’ve been loving this cute bikini from 437 Swimwear—the little bows feels so feminine. I always throw on an easy button-down with my swimwear. I have one in just about every color, and they come in handy. Of course, my new Prada sunnies had to make an appearance. (Yes, I have them in black, but I had to splurge on the white pair.)
