    [ad_1]

Highlighting the importance of staying adaptable in a dynamic industry, The CE Shop’s new course “Outsmarting the 2025 Housing Market” offers actionable resources to help all real estate professionals thrive

The CE Shop is excited to share a free resource from their newest professional development course “Outsmarting the 2025 Housing Market” designed for all real estate professionals who want to stay informed about how worldwide trends impact their local markets.

The “Market Changes” worksheet guides real estate professionals — step by step — through how to identify recent market changes, analyze their impact, and reflect on what that means for their area of the industry. Divided into three parts–Analyze Market Trends, Observe Demographic Shifts, and Monitor Regulatory Changes — the worksheet offers real estate professionals a way to reflect on their markets and build plans for success in the upcoming year. Additionally, it is a useful tool to have before drafting a business plan.

As a whole, the “Outsmarting the 2025 Housing Market” course allows real estate professionals to hone their ability to analyze trends, set actionable goals, and adjust business strategies. But the course goes beyond simply providing updates on the market, offering a structured, guided approach to the process of reflection, analysis, and planning that is vital to success in real estate. Realistic examples, which are tailored to different roles within the real estate profession, are examined to provide learners with the context needed to grasp the significance of market trends and their practical implications.

The course was thoughtfully designed to focus on a key competency every real estate professional needs to succeed in the industry: the ability to adapt. Inspired by the collective challenges all real estate professionals have faced post-COVID, The CE Shop realized that agents would need actionable, focused guidance to help navigate an ever-evolving environment.

“Change is constant in the real estate market,” said Michael Natter, Curriculum Manager at The CE Shop. “Staying informed and adaptable is essential for success. This course emphasizes the importance of analyzing and adjusting to trends regularly to keep up with or stay ahead of the competition. It underscores the risks of complacency while offering hope and empowerment through tools and strategies for ongoing success.”

Heavily video-based, the full course is engaging, impactful, and easy to digest. In keeping with the course’s emphasis on the importance of collaboration between different real estate professionals, the course also offers an interactive forum that encourages professional learners to exchange ideas, fostering a sense of community. Real estate professionals will walk away with actionable guides and worksheets that will help them translate insights into immediate, tangible results for a thriving career that focuses on being proactive rather than reactive.

  • Inspired by Recent NAR(R) Changes, The CE Shop Offers Free Instructional Video, “Demonstrating Your Unique Value Proposition,” Inside to Help Real Estate Agents Show Their Value to Sellers

    [ad_1]

Real estate agents learn how to better communicate with sellers in The CE Shop’s interactive, bite-sized course, “Seller Commission Conversations”

The CE Shop is offering here a free learning resource from their new, bite-sized professional development course, “Seller Commission Conversations.” The course, designed to help agents better navigate questions from sellers about compensation, is part of a larger, 18-course series included in the “Mastering Real Estate Representation” package.

Plucked straight out of their course, “Seller Commission Conversations,” the free video resource is designed to help agents enhance interactions with current and potential seller clients. This course includes a strong emphasis on the importance of timing the agent-seller commission conversation just right and offers agents communication strategies to help them with that interaction.

Featuring a variety of practical examples, including a list of trial close questions a real estate agent can use in real-world situations, the video emphasizes the importance of agents showing their unique value to potential seller clients before diving into the commission conversation. The video also offers helpful analogies to ensure agents quickly grasp key techniques and includes detailed talking points to help agents guide the commission conversation, along with insights on when and how to introduce them.

At the crux of this course-and the entire “Mastering Real Estate Representation” package-is a singular skill all real estate professionals need to thrive in a dynamic industry: effective communication. Inspired by the National Association of REALTORS® updates to representation agreements, The CE Shop recognized that agents would need updated communication strategies and fresh inspiration.

“The NAR changes threw us all for a loop. We knew they were changing the game,” said Sara Harjo, Director of Curriculum Development at Career Certified. “Communication has always been an essential skill for real estate agents to learn, and something we’ve always emphasized in our courses. But these changes meant a fresh approach to client interactions, something experienced agents can always use a refresher on and through which newer agents need guidance. That’s when it clicked: a course that not only covers NAR updates but also focuses on the essentials, especially communication.”

The full course is loaded with a series of interactive slides and scripted communications, with a strong emphasis on timing the conversation effectively. It dives into compensation models, service options, and common seller suggestions and suggested responses-all of which can help real estate agents navigate the commission conversation with ease. Designed to accommodate a variety of different learners, the course includes a mix of instructional materials, including interactive simulations, video resources, text-based slides, check-your-understanding questions, and more.

  • Open English Partners With Soccer Star Richarlison as Student and Ambassador in a R$ 2 Million Initiative That Will Donate English Courses to Underprivileged Youth in Brazil

Open English Partners With Soccer Star Richarlison as Student and Ambassador in a R$ 2 Million Initiative That Will Donate English Courses to Underprivileged Youth in Brazil

    [ad_1]

This initiative is the largest social action undertaken by the online English teaching platform in Brazil.

Open English, global leader in online English education in Latin America and the US Hispanic market, has chosen Richarlison, player number 9 of the Brazilian national team and striker for Tottenham Hotspurs, as its ambassador and new student. Known as “Pombo,” Richarlison will continue his language-learning journey with Open English. The collaboration will also provide English language-learning opportunities to disadvantaged youth in Brazil.

As an ambassador, Richarlison chose two organizations to be beneficiaries: Gerando Falcões, a social development ecosystem that operates as a network to accelerate the impact power leaders have delivering education, promoting economic development, and citizenship services in Brazilian favelas; and young players from the hometown football team of the player Nova Venécia, in Espírito Santo. In total, complete English courses from Open English will be donated, representing an investment of 2 million Brazilian reais.

Open English chose Richarlison as an ambassador for two main reasons: first, because the player is genuinely learning English to achieve better results in his career, and second, due to his commitment to causes and issues that impact society. Currently, he serves as an ambassador for USP Vida, a research program at the University of São Paulo that has raised over R$20 million for research related to the fight against Covid, as well as an ambassador for the Hospital de Amor de Barretos, and collaborates with the preservation organization Onçafari in Pantanal.

Through this initiative, Open English aims to boost educational inclusion and promote development opportunities for individuals who would otherwise not have access to foreign language learning. “We are thrilled about this partnership with Richarlison and the opportunity to work with Gerando Falcões and Associação Nova Venécia,” said Andrés Moreno, Founder and CEO of Open English. “We believe that access to quality education is a powerful catalyst for positive changes in people’s lives. Our purpose as a company is to empower students with the skills they need to succeed in their goals and lead better lives. We transform lives through education,” he added.

As the digital campaign ambassador, Richarlison will share his personal experience with language learning and the importance of this knowledge in his professional and personal life. “When I was a boy, I didn’t have the opportunity to study English. And only I know how much I missed that when I came to play in Europe. For several years, I relied on my teammates and interpreters to understand what they were saying to me, both on and off the field. That’s why I am very happy with this partnership with Open English because, in addition to continuing my learning with a school that is a reference in the market, I will be able to provide the opportunity to study a new language to many underprivileged Brazilian youth. I know this makes a significant difference, not just for them to get a good job but mainly so they don’t go through the same difficulties I went through”, Richarlison explains.

Open English has been operating in Brazil since 2011 and in Latin America for 16 years, with over 2 million students enrolled to date on their online english courses. The company is revolutionizing the traditional language learning market with its proprietary technology platform, providing unlimited access 24/7 to live classes with native teachers. It has continued its international expansion to Spain, Turkey, India, and Vietnam. Besides Brazil and Latin America, Open English also serves the Hispanic market in the USA. The company offers personalized learning solutions for businesses (Open English Business), children (Open English Junior), and digital skills development (NextU).

  • Why Investors Are Bullish on EdTech in 2023

Why Investors Are Bullish on EdTech in 2023

    [ad_1]

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

2022 closed with 30 EdTech Unicorns collectively valued just south of $100 billion. For context, these companies combined are biting at the heels of economically critical Fortune 500s like General Electric and American Express that command over $100B valuations.

With consistent growth expected into the next decade, EdTech — along with its leaders, operators and mission that continue to grow into more verticals and geographies — is back in the race towards a more equitable future.

Related: 5 EdTech Trends That Will Change Learning Between Now and 2030

    AI in EdTech

It’s hard to find an industry that Artificial Intelligence hasn’t yet graced. While most implementations of AI are still experimental, its effects on education actively drive tangible results. Personalized learning driven by AI is at the epicenter, with research and data in the field reinforcing the benefits students are experiencing.

Educators at the Institute for Innovative Learning suggest that “students who followed the self-regulated online learning guided by the personalized learning approach out-performed and gained more knowledge than those who followed the conventional self-regulated online learning activities after finishing the learning process.”

The ever-widening student-teacher ratio in class sizes has historically limited traditional learning across the value chain of K-12 through to professional upskilling. AI-driven personalized learning tailored to the individual helps bridge this divide while still just scratching the surface of what’s possible.

Related: Rise Of EdTech And Effect on Generational Learning Curve

    Achieving scale in EdTech

A large horizontal (e.g., K-12) and vertical (e.g., content, experience, assessment etc.) value chain makes LMS or Learning Management Systems essential to achieving scale in EdTech. As classrooms grow larger and personalized learning more prominent, platforms that house these resources become mission-critical.

As important as having a harbor to harness and leverage the vast amounts of data generated by personalized learning platforms. Extracting this data in an actionable format allows educators to develop better content while allowing technologists to understand best how key stakeholders use their products.

While LMS have been around for the last few years, it continues to be a cornerstone of development for the industry as operators find new ways to implement bleeding edge technology (natural language processing, data mining and analytics etc.) and create outsized value.

Extending reach and relevance beyond traditional education

The shift to work from home has evolved how the world does business today and how companies support their workforce’s growth and professional development. Automating the identification of skill gaps in employees and making intelligent suggestions for resources that help fill them creates immense value for businesses and their employees.

The ability to track unique skill sets and skill levels opens up the opportunity to staff resources more efficiently or suggest positions internally that could better leverage talent. While beneficial to HR resources, an automated approach to upskilling also adds to a Firm’s retention incentive for current and future employees.

Venture Capital funding mirrored the above trends in 2022

Data from HolonIQ suggests that, of “$10.6B and 1,400+ deals of EdTech Venture funding for 2022, nearly half focused on management systems and learner/teacher support.”

Unsurprisingly, investing in EdTech is projected to slow in 2023 amid the overall macroeconomic environment. However, consistent results from adoption over the last few years should sustain a strong appetite from investors into 2023 and beyond.

The level of investment into LMS suggests a conviction to scale in EdTech. It is a strong indicator that the key infrastructure needed is actively refined for the current suite of EdTech to leverage and built for future technology stacks to be based on.

ChatGPT helped educate the world on the power of AI and will make the conversation easier for operators building AI-driven learning technology to gain the support of traditional educators. Lastly, the upside potential for businesses to develop talent at better unit economics (i.e., cheaper to support HR resources with AI-based professional development tools) while leveraging data to create predictive analysis, and better understand resource allocation on a granular level is exciting.

Related: Microsoft Invests Billions in OpenAI, Creator of ChatGPT

    Government funding in EdTech

As a bonus, the $30B in government funding available to educators in the US is an opportunity for EdTech to continue growing into school districts nationally and prove value while continuing to scale over the next few years. Although an allocation towards technology from this bucket isn’t clear yet, the shifting trends towards augmented support in teaching and managing a growing student population could warrant a sizable contribution towards EdTech from this pool of funding and those deployed in the future.

Related: Will Edtech See a Paradigm Shift In 2023?

    Education is the greatest equalizer

EdTech enables educators to reach more students than ever before with the ability to deliver content beyond the limitations of a language barrier or timezone. As more of the world’s populous go online daily, EdTech is actively creating a positive feedback loop of forward momentum for all– on all fronts.

“From COVID-19 to Protest 2020, we have faced challenges the likes of which most of us have never seen before.”

    Press Release

    updated: Jun 10, 2020

Meet the 2020 graduates of Exceptional Minds. This is no ordinary class and these are not ordinary times, as everyone knows.

The Exceptional Minds Class of 2020 are young adults with autism, who, against all odds, graduated Friday from the Exceptional Minds school and will go on to careers in visual effects, animation, motion graphics, and other digital arts fields.

The graduation was a Zoom event attended by parents and friends, among them notable guest speaker Rob Paulsen, a self-described “blue-collar worker in the dream factory”, best known as the voice of Yakko in Animaniacs and Pinky from Pinky and the Brain. “People will look at Exceptional Minds as pioneers and they will be inspired by it and that inspiration will help them find their own gifts,” he said.

When COVID-19 hit, Exceptional Minds shut down its school and sent its students home. Overnight, its entire training model – the place where students met, the way instructors taught and socialized and interacted with this special population, the very lifeblood of what Exceptional Minds does and how it does it, right down to funding – was gone.

And no one was entirely sure if they could replicate it in a remote, virtual environment for a population that was already isolated and challenged in so many other ways.

Remote learning carried Exceptional Minds 2020 graduates through the last critical months of their three-year training, something no one had ever tried with the autism population before.

“From COVID-19 to Protest 2020, we have faced challenges the likes of which most of us have never seen before. But as we are learning, challenges test us in unexpected ways and you all have demonstrated incredible flexibility and resilience in this new remote learning space that will serve you so well as you continue on an amazing journey that has just begun,” said Exceptional Minds Executive Director David Siegel to the class of 12 during Friday’s Zoom graduation.

Exceptional Minds opened its doors in 2011 as a training school for individuals with autism and, in 2014, added a professional studio to bring in contract work for graduates of its three-year program.

ArtistWorks.com Announces Series A First Closing and Growth Debt Financing Closing

    [ad_1]

Online Music Instruction Pioneer Receives Funding to Launch ArtistWorks Online “School of Music”

ArtistWorks, an online music education company, today announced the first closing of their Series A round and the completion of a $1.1M growth debt financing with Montage Capital. The $1.6M Series A funding will remain open to investors through Dec. 31, 2017.

“We are pleased to receive this validation from industry leader Montage Capital and welcome their strategic guidance and funding that will power our expansion into new marketing channels,” says David Butler, co-founder and chairman of ArtistWorks.

Learning a musical instrument yields worthy academic benefits to teenagers – they learn valuable, lifelong skills. We want to provide that impact on students and to teach the world music.

    Patricia Butler, CEO, Cofounder

“We see great potential in the unique ArtistWorks model and are supportive of their move into untapped online learning markets,” added Mike Rose, Managing Director of Montage Capital.

These funding rounds provide significant momentum for the company’s industry-unique music instruction business that uses their “Video Exchange Learning” to teach music online with 35 world-renowned musicians. An eight-year-old provider of music instruction to hobbyist players, ArtistWorks will now expand its premium quality learning experience to music students in grades 9-12 beginning in the second quarter of 2018. Proceeds from the funding will build and promote the new ArtistWorks “School of Music” online that will be the musical home to existing amateur players and in 2018, high school students. Any musician will be able to enroll in the ArtistWorks Accredited Music Program and receive a Certificate of Completion after successful achievement of the requirements. High school students will be able to earn course credit for learning to play a musical instrument online at ArtistWorks. In May of 2017, the company received academic accreditation as a supplemental education provider from the Accrediting Commission for Schools at the Western Association for Schools and Colleges.

All players seek high-level expertise, but getting meaningful feedback on their performance has been non-existent online until ArtistWorks. Currently, the online music faculty teach players in 80 countries and have recorded over 850 hours of music lessons categorized by instrument and genre. The 35 online music teachers have completed over 50,000 “Video Exchanges®” with their global student body. Each student can submit videos to their teacher who records a video reply, specifically addressing the student’s needs. The two paired videos comprise a Video Exchange which the entire online student membership can view and learn from. The Video Exchange Library not only provides an invaluable learning resource for student members, the ever-expanding content is generated at no cost to the company.

“Learning a musical instrument yields worthy academic benefits to teenagers – they learn valuable, lifelong skills. We want to provide that impact on students and to teach the world music,” says ArtistWorks CEO Patricia Butler.

ArtistWorks will work closely with Montage Capital to take full advantage of their industry expertise and relationships.

    About ArtistWorks:

In 2008, former AOL executive technologist David Butler set out to finally master jazz guitar. With no acceptable teachers in his area, he built a revolutionary online system to enable anyone to get direct feedback from a master teacher anywhere in the world. Founded by David and former financial executive Patricia Butler, ArtistWorks.com is the leader in a new generation of online learning platforms. This patented Video Exchange® Learning platform enables world-renowned musicians to “teach the world music” by providing comprehensive, progressive video lessons and direct, asynchronous video feedback to online students, creating an industry-unique, two-way online learning experience.

    About Montage Capital

Since 2005, Montage Capital has provided minimally dilutive growth debt to capital efficient companies. The firm’s tailored debt solutions allow companies to make the investments needed for growth while preserving ownership and control for early stakeholders. A unique component of Montage’s approach is it does not require prior or current equity support as a prerequisite for funding.
