Layering Lovers to the Front—42 Cool Nordstrom Pieces to Mix and Match Endlessly

    [ad_1]

At Who What Wear, layering is the key to successful fall and winter outfits. This allows you the versatility to dress in varying temperatures with a more concentrated wardrobe. As a fashion editor, Layering is also a common trick I use to elevate a look or mix up outfits. That said, it’s never too late to up your layering game. I take no enjoyment in gatekeeping, so I’ve highlighted solid fall and winter layers worth checking out from Nordstrom.

Nordstrom’s wide array of product offerings makes it ideal for adequately providing a range of high-quality, top-tier goods. The mix includes brands such as Levi’s, Open Edit, Madewell, ASOS, and Treasure & Bond, among others. Keep scrolling to shop button-down shirts, tees, tanks, sweaters, vests, jackets, and more in sizes 00 to 28 and XS to 5XL. Endless layered looks are just around the corner.

  • I Just Got Back From Japan—Tokyo Fashion Girls Would Love These Nordstrom Finds

I Just Got Back From Japan—Tokyo Fashion Girls Would Love These Nordstrom Finds

    [ad_1]

Packing for a 10-day trip to Japan was a serious feat, but the trip was well worth it for all the style inspiration I could bring back from Tokyo. Walking around the neighborhoods of Shibuya, Daikanyama, Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Meguro City for days on end, there was no shortage of cool street style outfits, and I took meticulous notes on all the trends I saw. I may have only been in Tokyo for five of the 10 days, but during that half of the trip, I covered a lot of ground. Shopping is *the* activity to partake in in Tokyo, and it’s on a whole other level compared to other fashionable locales, with countless retail stores, massive malls and plazas, and vintage shops that line almost every street. But even with all that, Tokyo is still missing a Nordstrom.

Now that I’m back, I rounded up 38 items that Tokyo fashion girls would love to shop at Nordstrom based on my observations. From uniform dressing and see-through dresses to bows and crossbody bags, I feel pretty confident that the pieces below would sell out fast if Nordstrom ever were to set up shop in Japan’s capital. If you’re looking to take a style cue from the international fashion set, scroll down to shop the best Tokyo-inspired picks from Nordstrom.

39 Nordstrom Buys That Have Spring 2024 Written All Over Them

    [ad_1]

Ready for some fresh Nordstrom buys? Over the past few weeks, I’ve done a ton of trend research for the year ahead, poring over the spring/summer 2024 collections, studying what designers like Gucci, Prada, and Bottega Veneta sent down their runways last month, and scanning my social media feeds to find out which looks people are talking about the most from fashion month. In other words, I have a pretty good idea of what’s to come in fashion next season, and I plan on shopping accordingly.

Based on my findings, I’ve come to the conclusion that the 39 Nordstrom items you’re about to see below—from the designer shoulder bag that will be the blueprint for every other trendy bag to the color that magically elevates anything and the fresh wardrobe basics that everyone will wear—qualify as some of the buzziest finds of the moment and will be important throughout 2024 as well. I’m particularly excited about each of these items, and I know you will be too.

I’m Pretty Confident These 34 Nordstrom Items Will Sell Out Before Black Friday

    [ad_1]

Nordstrom routinely fills its new-arrivals section with fresh merchandise. Many of the pieces in question are often of utmost interest because of their chicness and versatility, but given their popularity, the coolest items don’t stay in stock for long. Below, you’ll find an edit of new items that I think will sell out quickly due to the number of people already viewing the items (you can see the number on the product page) and/or the overall desirability because they’re quite fashion-forward with modern design details.

In fact, I bet the items coming your way will actually sell out before even Black Friday comes around, which is only a few weeks away at this point. So if you see something that you love or want to get a jump start on holiday gift shopping, you may want to consider adding these pieces to your cart before the stock levels decline. • My New Shopping Motto Is Timeless—41 Fall Nordstrom Items I’m Planning to Buy

My New Shopping Motto Is Timeless—41 Fall Nordstrom Items I’m Planning to Buy

    [ad_1]

Following an intense closet clean-out, I’m planning to only add pieces to my wardrobe if they feel timeless. To me, this means pared-down items that have longevity and staying power over years to come. These classic pieces not only are a way better investment but also work together seamlessly to create a more minimal, elevated wardrobe.

Another benefit when it comes to shopping for timeless pieces is quality control, as you’re essentially looking for pieces that maintain their value over time. I turned to trusted retailer Nordstrom for a mixture of evergreen staples that look refined and luxurious. For me, this aesthetic includes traditional denim, little black dresses, layering basics, and tailored pieces. And of course, they all mix and match to create looks across occasions.

Below, find my curated list of timeless, high-quality pieces that you’ll have in your wardrobe for seasons upon seasons. Keep scrolling for some timeless shopping.

  • I’ve Never Felt Richer Than I Did Wearing These 11 Designer Shoes

I’ve Never Felt Richer Than I Did Wearing These 11 Designer Shoes

    [ad_1]

A great pair of shoes has the power to make an outfit memorable. Even just jeans and a T-shirt can look and feel special if they’re styled alongside an elegant pair of pumps or some sleek heeled boots. But these days, shoes, particularly those of the designer variety, don’t come cheap. The days of Carrie Bradshaw buying new Manolos in the $400 range simply don’t exist anymore, and investing in luxury shoes calls for a tad more backing from your bank account.

Because of that, most people, myself included, aren’t likely to order a pair of expensive footwear on a whim. They want to do their research in the form of reading reviews, seeing how they look on other people, etc. That’s where I come in. Last week, I took a break from scrolling to shop in person instead, popping into Nordstrom’s NYC flagship to take over the designer-shoe salon and test-drive a handful of the retailer’s most of-the-moment and sought-after offerings for fall. The result? An entirely perfect afternoon for a shopping-obsessed editor like myself and lots and lots of temptation.

Scroll down to find out everything you need to know about today’s chicest designer shoes, including pairs by Prada, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, The Row, and more.

  • I Should Gate-Keep This Brand On Nordy, But I Won’t—23 Finds You’ll Thank Me For

I Should Gate-Keep This Brand On Nordy, But I Won’t—23 Finds You’ll Thank Me For

    [ad_1]

Given how many stories we publish daily, it’s essential that we as editors know our way around all of the big retailers. We each have our own unique time-saving techniques for filtering through thousands of items, allowing us to produce all of the content you see on Who What Wear. My personal go-to method for sifting through product-packed online stores is to focus on brand discovery and then hit up all of the chicest, most relevant brands first. That way, I never have to go through tens of thousands of options. I only really see what I already know will be good.

For a store like Nordstrom, this is especially critical since new items are being added all the time and the sheer volume of pieces is astronomical. The one brand I always type into the search bar first when I’m writing anything having to do with luxe-in-looks-but-not-in-price finds? Sophie Rue. Somehow, the brand, which is also sold on Revolve and keeps prices mostly between $80 and $400, doesn’t get a ton of attention. Hopefully, after you scroll through all of the newest items on Nordstrom from the brand, that won’t be the case any longer.

  • I’m a Purse Snob, But These Sub-$300 Nordstrom Handbags Pass the Test

I’m a Purse Snob, But These Sub-$300 Nordstrom Handbags Pass the Test

    [ad_1]

Even though I’m long overdue for a closet clean-out now that I’m dipping back into my fall-and-winter clothing storage, I can’t bring myself to clear out my handbag bin. I prefer to use the term “collector” over “hoarder” when describing the tens of bags I’ve added to my wardrobe over the last few years, even though my boyfriend would disagree. Did I take over one of our tiny closets to store just my handbags? I plead the fifth.

While one of my New Year’s resolutions was to limit the number of purses I own at the start of the year, I must admit these Nordstrom finds are tempting. Nordstrom‘s clothing is some of the best out there, but after spending hours scrolling the retailer’s handbag offerings, I’m pleasantly shocked at the number of chic and affordable bags that work for every lifestyle and price point. Some of the best statement bags are ringing in under $50, while classic silhouettes from designer labels are nowhere near the four-figure investment price range everyone associates with quality. Payday is on the horizon, and I know exactly where my money will go.

Below are the best affordable Nordstrom handbags at every price range, including tons of great finds under $50 and $100.

It’s no secret that I love dresses. Short, long, silk, linen, cashmere—I have an affinity for them all. The $99 Nordstrom Boots I’m Buying to Get the Grungy Miu Miu Look on a Budget

    [ad_1]

No single pair of boots has taken up residence in the brains of practically every person in fashion in recent years quite as significantly as Miu Miu’s moto boots, which the brand debuted in its F/W 22 collection. Mixed among penny loafers and the now-viral satin Mary Jane flats were a variety of heavy-duty, distressed leather boots in brown and black with a round toe, an ankle strap secured by large metal fasteners, and buckles up the leg that brought the thick material together on either side. Similar to the other footwear they were accompanied by on the runway, attendees and digital onlookers alike were instantly smitten.

As a result, over the past year, many brands have hopped aboard the moto-boot train, with options arriving from Steve Madden, Mango, and more. But none has gotten me quite as excited as the $99 pair I just discovered on Nordstrom.com. Ankle height, buckled to perfection, and featuring just the right amount of heel, the boots, courtesy of Nordstrom’s in-house, editor-favorite label Open Edit, check off every box. And the price isn’t half bad either. (I’m obviously kidding—the price is the *best* part.) Scroll down to shop Open Edit’s just-in moto boots ahead of fall’s official arrival.
