    The Raghava Lawrence-starrer Kanchana film series is one of the most successful franchises in Tamil cinema, with four movies released to date. Now, as the fifth installment is in the works, the makers have officially announced Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi as the female leads.

    Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi officially join Kanchana 4 cast

    In a recent update from the makers, Pooja Hegde was officially announced as the female lead in the Raghava Lawrence-starrer horror-comedy Kanchana 4.

    Sharing the update, the makers penned, “Even in your Deepest Fear, She Comes to Tie Up and Faint you with her Beauty, Welcome on Board #TheStunningDiva Pooja Hegde to #Kanchana4! A Heaven Await for You.”

    Apart from Pooja, the makers also announced that Nora Fatehi will be playing a co-lead role in the film alongside Lawrence.

    Talking about the movie, Kanchana 4 marks the fifth installment in the franchise, directed by the actor himself. The series includes Muni (2007), Kanchana (2011), Kanchana 2 (2015), and Kanchana 3 (2019).

    All these films are spiritual sequels, with each horror-comedy featuring a different ensemble cast, except for the lead actor, Raghava Lawrence.

    Raghava Lawrence’s next film

    Apart from Kanchana 4, Raghava Lawrence is currently filming for Benz. The upcoming vigilante action thriller is part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe (LCU), marking the fourth installment in the series following Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo.

    The film will feature Nivin Pauly as the main antagonist, playing a dual role, while Vaathi actress Samyuktha plays the female lead. Recently, the team wrapped up its first shooting schedule, which reportedly took place at a location resembling the factory setting from Leo (2023), hinting at a possible crossover reference.

    Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi’s upcoming films

    Pooja Hegde is next set to appear in the lead role in Thalapathy Vijay’s political actioner Jana Nayagan. Directed by H. Vinoth, the movie will feature the actress as Kayal, with Bobby Deol playing the main antagonist.

    The film is slated for release on January 9, 2026, and also stars Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narain, and others in key roles.

    The actress also has films like Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and an untitled Dulquer Salmaan project in her lineup.

    Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi will next appear in the Kannada film KD: The Devil alongside Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt.

    Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express revolves around a couple of friends who dream of going on a trip to Goa. While they navigate through life and try to get out of the chaos and confusion that they got themselves into, they take the audience on a fun ride that tickles many funny bones. Produced by Farhan Akhtar, the movie stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam.

    A while ago, Kunal and Nora paid a visit to a local theatre in the city. In a video that’s now going viral, the celebs can be seen gauging the response of the audience and even interacting with them. As the end credits of the film are rolled, the two stars take center stage and pose with their cute little fans. While the performer and actress went with an all-black look for the night, the debutant director turned up in a black t-shirt, blue denim, and a brown jacket.

    A week ago, Kunal took to social media and dropped multiple behind-the-scenes visuals of him directing a team of talented stars for the first time in his life. Wishing his fans on the occasion of Holi, he wrote, “From day 1 of shoot to the day I said the last pack up on the sets of Madgoan Express. Each day has been so special in so many ways. And I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team of actors and technicians. To the many colours of friendship that the film showcases and the many colours of my own personality that I got to explore through this film.     Prior to the release of the film for the audience, a special screening was hosted for Bollywood stars. Among them were Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora who watched the movie together. The lovebirds were also quick to praise Kunal and the team for making them laugh like never before.

    Taking to his Instagram stories, Arjun penned, “What a blast this film is!!!     Farah Khan confirms being a judge on JDJ 11?

    Madhuri Dixit and Karan Johar have reportedly stepped down as the judges. However, now Farah Khan has given a big hint that he is joining Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 as the judge.

    Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi made her acting debut with the film Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans and has since featured in films such as Bharat, Batla House, Street Dancer, Bhuj: The Pride of India, and more. She recently made a cameo appearance in Ayushmann Khurrana’s film An Action Hero and has a slew of upcoming projects. In an exclusive report, Pinkvilla has learned that Nora might be collaborating with Vidyut Jammwal for a unique extreme sports action film titled Crakk.

    Nora Fatehi to team up with Vidyut Jammwal for sports-action film Crakk?

    According to a source that shared details with Pinkvilla, Nora Fatehi is potentially set to collaborate with Vidyut Jammwal for the first time in an upcoming film named Crakk, in which she will be playing the lead role.

    Vidyut has established himself as a prominent actor in the action thriller genre, having starred in films such as Commando, Sanak, Khuda Haafiz, and IB 71, among others. His performances often captivate audiences with intense and engaging action sequences. Now, he is coming to entertain his fans with a sports action film. In a previous exclusive interview with Pinkvilla in May, Vidyut had revealed insights about the film’s genre. He mentioned, “It’s the first extreme sport film out of India, ever. And it is authentic and it’s about the extreme sport athletes. So we have finished 60 percent of it.”

    More details about the film have been kept under wraps, but it is reportedly directed by Aditya Datt and also stars Arjun Rampal. It will be produced by Vidyut under his home production, Action Hero Films. The release date of the movie is expected to be announced soon.

    Nora Fatehi’s professional front

    Nora is set to appear in a comedy film titled 100%, where she will share the screen with Shehnaaz Gill and Riteish Deshmukh. Additionally, she has completed filming for Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express, where she features alongside Pratik Gandhi and Divyendu Sharma. She’s also a part of Remo D’Souza’s dance drama Dancing Dad, which stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. In addition to these projects, Nora is also involved in a multilingual film called Matka.

    This will be Dhanush’s 51st outing and is expected to be released in multiple languages. Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao have been confirmed as the film’s producers. A poster will be released tomorrow on Dhanush’s birthday.

    Varun Tej’s next film titled Matka will also feature Norah Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdary

    Varun Tej is an actor who has constantly experimented with a variety of genres and roles. His newest film is Matka, which just got an official title. Meenakshi Chowdary will be the film’s female protagonist. Norah Fatehi will also be a part of the film, and she has already expressed her happiness at working with Varun Tej and team in an interview. 

    The cast list of the film has also been released and comprises Naveen Chandra, Kannada Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Mime Gopi, Roopalakshmi, Vijayrama Raju, Jagadeesh, and Raj Thirandas. Karuna Kumar will be directing the project, which will be produced under the banner of Vyra Entertainments. The film’s music will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while Priyaseth will handle the cinematography. 

    Matka will be made on an epic scale, and the story will span decades. Set against the backdrop of Vizag, Matka is based on real incidents that took place between 1958 and 1982.

    Sources close to the dance reality show informed ETimes that Maniesh will be skipping the upcoming shooting of the show as he is unwell. The dance reality show has been entertaining fans with some stellar dance performances weeks after week. The dance reality show came back on the small screen post five years and has contestants like Rubina Diliak, Nia Sharma, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gashmeer Mahajani, Niti Taylor, Paras Kalnawat who are popular faces. The judges of the show are Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Nora Fatehi.

    The dance reality show will showcase some amazing twists and turns in the show but Maniesh will not be in the action front. Maniesh, earlier in an interview with the same publication had revealed that he was once rejected as a participant from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and now has become an important part of the show. He revealed that he was never angry or took it in his ego. It was his journey and he wanted to grow in life. He feels blessed to have got the opportunity to host the show multiple times. He also revealed that it is a great feeling for him.

The actress questioned Karan asking if he going to give a Dharma Productions film to the contestants. She sternly questioned the comments and points given to the contestants despite their relentless efforts. She asks what all they want to see in a 3-minute act. Are they going to give them an Oscar or a national award.

    Shilpa Shinde not only questioned Karan Johar but also Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi. Shilpa said that they are all artists who are here to perform and entertain and are not going to turn choreographers after Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 is over. She talked about how comments have been over less dancing and how there has been a competitive atmosphere.

    High-profile conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s plea to provide him a stool inside the prison was turned down by a Delhi court on Wednesday.  As per the details, Chandrashekar, who is presently lodged at the Mandoli jail in Delhi, had moved an application in the court of Special Judge Sanjeev Kumar Malhotra stating that he has problems sitting cross-legged for hours and should be provided a chair or a stool to sit while meeting his family members, and doing other things because of his medical conditions.  

    His advocate Mayank Tripathi in his plea had said that the court should allow the applicant to sit on a stool or chair during family mulakat due to his serious medical condition.

    He added that due to Chandrashekar’s severe medical condition, his doctors had advised him not to squat or bend forward. But jail authorities, he said, had turned a deaf ear to his concern. 

    Special Judge Sanjeev Kumar Malhotra dismissed his plea saying that it was devoid of any merits.   

    In another application, the Supreme Court on October 18 refused to entertain a fresh plea by Chandrashekhar asking him to seek transfer from Mandoli jail in the city to any other jail, which is not under the control of the Director General of Prisons, Delhi.

    The counsel appearing for Chandrashekhar said that despite several assurances, Chandrashekhar was being allegedly assaulted in jail. The lawyer also alleged that Chandrashekhar is being pressured to pay Rs 25 lakh per month in jail. 

    A Bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and C.T. Ravikumar declined to interfere in the matter. 

    On August 23, the apex court ordered that Chandrashekhar and his wife be shifted from Tihar Jail to Mandoli Jail in the city. It had passed the order on a plea filed by Chandrashekhar and his wife alleging a threat to their lives and seeking a transfer to a prison outside Delhi.
