    Press Release

    updated: Nov 21, 2019

Peter N. Davis & Associates, a personal injury law firm in New Jersey, is excited to announce its Rise Above Scholarship, which will offer $1,000 to a first-place winner and $500 to two runner ups.

This is the well-known law firm’s first scholarship opportunity for students in New Jersey who are seeking higher education. The scholarship is extended to students located in Pennsylvania, as well.

The winners of the scholarship will submit essays that best answer the question: “What was a challenge you faced that you think you could have handled differently and what were the lessons you learned from it?”

Peter N. Davis & Associates Gives Back

The name of the scholarship, “Rise Above,” personally and professionally resonates with the founder and managing partner of the firm, Peter Davis.

As a New Jersey personal injury lawyer, Davis serves individuals who have been injured in accidents due to someone else’s carelessness. When people call Peter N. Davis & Associates, it’s usually one of the worst days of their lives. These victims are often dealing with tremendous challenges such as devastating injuries, expensive medical bills, or even mourning the loss of a loved one. It is Peter Davis’ mission to help these individuals overcome these challenges by protecting their legal interests and fighting for the compensation they need to move forward.

However, Davis doesn’t want to stop there. Through his dedication to serving injured victims, he is inspired to find new ways to help members of his communities who have faced overwhelming challenges.

It is for this reason he decided to start the Rise Above Scholarship. The scholarship is intended to help aid three individuals in their educational journey, particularly unconventional students who have risen above challenges and decided to pursue higher education.

Whether they’re going back to school or changing their careers, Davis hopes the scholarships help students who are overcoming adversity in order to better their future.

“I hope this scholarship encourages local students to fight for their goals and rise above the challenges they’ll face in college and in life,” Davis said.

Davis and his firm have seen first-hand that life isn’t about the challenges you face. It’s about how you choose to rise above them.
