    • 1 status point per $2 spent, and beginning with your first card anniversary, 10,000 status points awarded annually

    Our Verdict

We’ve known about this card launching for some time, if you signed up for the 500 free miles last year you can also get another 5,000 free miles by applying through a link they will send you. Overall I don’t think this card is a keeper for most people due to the high annual fee, but could be attractive for the initial sign up bonus. The other Alaska cards also have a 80,000 point bonus currently as well. We will add this to our best credit card bonus page. Read these things everybody should know about Bank of America before applying.

  • (Update) U.S. Bank To Launch ‘Smartly Visa Signature Card’ Earn Up To 4% Back On All Purchases – Doctor Of Credit

(Update) U.S. Bank To Launch ‘Smartly Visa Signature Card’ Earn Up To 4% Back On All Purchases – Doctor Of Credit

    [ad_1]

Update 9/8/24: Reports are that the card will have no annual fee and will have no welcome bonus.

    Original Post 9/3/24:

U.S. Bank is set to launch the Smartly Visa Signature card and this will earn up to 4% back on all purchases. Card details as follows:

    • Earn 2% cash back on all purchases
    • Earn up to an additional 2% cash back when paired with a U.S. Bank smartly savings account.
      • Earn 2.5% total cash back when you have a qualifying balance of $5,000 – $49,999
      • Earn 3% total cash back when you have a qualifying balance of $50,000 – $99,999
      • Earn 4% total cash back when you have a qualifying balance of $100,000+

There are a few things that are unclear such as whether there is an annual fee, is there a cap on the additional up to 2% cash back and if there will be a sign up bonus or not. The Smartly account itself earns 4.1% APY when you also have a Smartly checking account and a balance of $25,000+ so this is competitive with the best high yield savings accounts, can also have the money in their investment account. This has the potential to be big, worth signing up for the wait list in case they offer a better than normal sign up bonus for those that do.

    [ad_1]

Update 7/29/24: You can now apply when you go through the pre-approval tool.

Wells Fargo has partnered with the Expedia group to launch two ‘One Key’ cards. One Key is Expedia’s combined loyalty program with other Expedia brands such as Hotels.com, Orbitz & more. The new cards are as follows:

    • Earn 3% in OneKeyCash at gas stations, grocery stores, and on dining
    • Earn 2% in OneKeyCash on all other purchases
    • Automatic Gold Tier
    • Path to next tier: Unlock Platinum when you spend $30,000 per calendar year
    • Get $100 in OneKeyCash each cardholder anniversary (expires 12 months after it’s awarded)
    • Receive a statement credit of up to $100 for Global Entry® or TSA PreCheck®

    • Cell phone protection
    • Trip protections:
      • Trip Cancellation and Interruption
      • Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver
      • Common Carrier Travel Accident Insurance

    Our Verdict

Might be worth getting the One Key+ for the sign up bonus. I don’t see a lot of value in keeping the card(s) long term as usually the savings are overstated and booking third party means you miss out on elite benefits/elite night credits in most cases. Read these things everybody should know about Wells Fargo before applying and we will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

    • 40,000 mile sign up bonus after spending $3,000 within 90 days of account opening

    Our Verdict

Not sure how difficult it is to get approved with Imprint or if there are any specific rules. Currently they issue the H-E-B card. Unfortunately Turkish Airlines devalued recently.

      • Earn 1% on other purchases

    Our Verdict

Bit of a boring card/bonus but might be some limited use for the 4% cards.

This card has no redeeming features. Sign up bonus is poor, as are the earning rates and benefits. Better to just stick with another card that offers a high sign up bonus instead.

Cardless & Qatar To Launch Two New Credit Cards, Join Waitlist For Extra 5,000-10,000 Point Bonus – Doctor Of Credit

Qatar uses Avios, the same rewards program as British Airways, Iberia & Aer Lingus. All of those airlines have cards with Chase currently. Unfortunately we don’t have any details on what the launch bonus or other benefits/annual fee will be on these new cards but it’s worth joining the waitlist just in case it’s good.

    • $89 annual fee (not waived first year)
    • Card earns at the following rates:

    • One-Way Bundle Upgrade with every $15,000 in purchases
    • Earn 7,500 Anniversary Bonus BreezePoints after every account anniversary when you spend $10,000+

    Our Verdict

Very underwhelming benefits and even the sign up bonus is so so. I think there are better Barclays bonuses currently available and getting approved for multiples can be difficult so I would prioritize those. Because of that we won’t be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

  • Robinhood To Launch New Card (3x Points On All Purchases) – Doctor Of Credit

Robinhood To Launch New Card (3x Points On All Purchases) – Doctor Of Credit

    [ad_1]

Robinhood is set to launch a new credit card, although this is really a rebrand of the X1 credit card after Robinhood acquired X1 for $95 million in June last year. The Robinhood card will offer the following:

    • Earn 3x points per $1 spent on all purchases
    • Refer 10 friends and receive a solid gold card (can see some pictures of what that looks like here)

X1 card had a cap of $7,500 in spend per month for earning 3x points. Points were only worth 1¢ against select merchants and 0.75¢ towards other merchants. You can view coverage of the x1 card in the past here.

  • [Launching In March] Wells Fargo To Launch ‘Wells Fargo Autograph Journey’ Card – 60,000 Points – Doctor Of Credit

[Launching In March] Wells Fargo To Launch ‘Wells Fargo Autograph Journey’ Card – 60,000 Points – Doctor Of Credit

    [ad_1]

Update 2/2/24: It looks like this card will launch in March with two different sign up bonuses:

    • 60k points points when you spend $4,000 within three months
    • 70k points when you spend $4,000 within three months for Wells Fargo Premier clients

Looks like you’ll also be able to pool points between different Wells Fargo cards.

Original post: We just posted that Wells Fargo filed trademarks for the Autograph Journey & Autograph Beyond. We now have confirmation that the Autograph Journey is a new card that will be released. Details are as follows:

I’d be beyond surprised if the Autograph Beyond isn’t a new card (well it could very well be a rebranding of the current card). 60,000 points has the potential to be very lucrative if there is also 1:1 transfer partners.
