My Mum, Your Dad: Vicky in tears over David as Angharad shares her worries for her mum

My Mum, Your Dad star Vicky was left in tears over David in the penultimate episode of the Davina McCall-fronted series tonight.

ITV1 viewers have watched as Vicky embarked on a romance with single dad David. However, his hot and cold behaviour has sparked worries with viewers, as well as with Vicky’s daughter Angharad and now with Vicky herself.

My Mum, Your Dad star Vicky has ‘niggles’ about David

In Thursday’s episode of My Mum, Your Dad (September 26), Vicky was seen sharing her fears over continuing her romance with David. And, after a visit from Davina, excused herself saying she needed the loo, before ducking off to bed.

Her pal Jenny, who is dating Danny, went to find her. Going into the bedroom, she sensed something was up.

I’ve just got kind of niggles.

“Baby girl, what’s the matter?” Jenny asked. “I’m having last-minute niggles about everything,” Vicky said. “Okay,” Jenny replied.

“I think David is an amazing amazing guy,” she said, before revealing that, after talking to host Davina McCall and going “back and forth”, things seemed a “bit awkward” between herself and David.

“Speak to Angharad tomorrow,” Jenny urged. “Get her perspective as she’ll have seen everything and she’s not going to steer you off course, is she.”

    “No,” said Vicky.

‘I’ve seen David go a little hot and cold with her’

The cameras then cut to the kids’ bunker and Angharad.

“What she thinks I’m going to think is obviously playing on my mother’s mind a little bit,” said Angharad. “I’ve obviously seen David go a little hot and cold with her and now she’s overthinking maybe about how the conversation is going to go tomorrow and what have I seen and if I would give my blessing to her and David.”

Vicky was then seen telling Jenny about her “niggles” again. “I’ve just got kind of niggles,” she said.

“They’re there. They’re there for a reason. Don’t ignore them,” Jenny warned her. “Certainly tomorrow have that conversation with your daughter, how you’re feeling.”

‘She’s worried it’s not the right thing for me’

Speaking to camera in the show’s diary-style room, Vicky was seen breaking down in tears.

“I think I was thinking, oh gosh, maybe Angharad won’t give her blessing because she’s worried it’s not the right thing for me. Because Angharad knows me better than anybody else would.”

At the end of the episode, David was (finally) seen going in search of Vicky.

“I did notice you disappear and I was wondering where you were going to be,” he said, finding her in bed. “But don’t worry, you’re good,” he tried to reassure her. “No need to feel uneasy.”

However, a preview of tomorrow’s ep showed that it’s David who should be feeling uneasy.

‘How do you feel about my mother?’

Meeting with Angharad, before the ceremony to decide if she gives the couple her blessing, Vicky’s daughter is seen telling David: “I want somebody who’s sure of my mother, you know.

“How do you feel about my mother?” she is seen asking him.

She then heads to the diary-style room. “I do really like David, I think he’s a great guy,” she is seen saying. “But people can be great and you can really like someone but that doesn’t always mean they’re right for each other.”

The My Mum, Your Dad final is on tomorrow night (September 27) at 9pm on ITV1. Or you can watch the entire series on ITVX now.

My Mum Your Dad viewers swoon over new bombshell Chris – and other dads feel ‘threatened’

    [ad_1]

My Mum Your Dad viewers were left gushing over the new arrival Chris – but it seemed the other dads were not impressed.

The beloved ITV show was back on screens on Tuesday (September 17). Hosted by Davina McCall, the series follows a group of singletons looking for love in a lush country house.

And in the latest episode, another dad joined the cast, but it appeared he ruffled some feathers.

My Mum Your Dad Chris makes bombshell arrival

Chris made his debut on My Mum Your Dad during Tuesday’s episode (September 17). He was accompanied by daughter Ava, before she bid him farewell to try and find love.

At the house, Chris enjoyed speed dating with some of the other moms. He chose Jenny, Maria, Claire and Vicky.

As he enjoyed his dates, the other dads were sat nervously waiting in the living room. An unimpressed Christian joked: “Everyone is competition. He’ll be taking our women!”

Once the dates were over, Chris introduced himself to everyone back at the house, including the other dads. And watching from another house a few miles the road, the kids soon shared their thoughts.

“They definitely feel threatened,” quipped Lucas, as he added: “Chris will definitely bring something to the retreat. I feel like it will push the dads to go for it and make their moves.”

Meanwhile new arrival Chris went down a treat with viewers at home. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Oh he’s very nice!” A second added: “Chris is so handsome.”

My Mum Your Dad fans issue same complaint

During the first episode, viewers shared their thoughts on the single parents entering the retreat. One person said: “Come on Davina, why are they all tall, slim and stunning – where’s the ‘normal’ people?”

Another wrote: “All these are older versions of the Love Island casts.” However, someone else added: “Love it already, we will be glued.”

  • New and returning reality TV in 2024: The Traitors, Love Island All Stars and Married at First Sight UK

New and returning reality TV in 2024: The Traitors, Love Island All Stars and Married at First Sight UK

    [ad_1]

Say goodbye to 2023 and hello to new reality TV in 2024.

The telly genre really dialled it up a notch in 2023. A new reality show Your Mum, My Dad joined the mix: And we got reboots of some of history’s finest: Big Brother and Survivor.

So it’s only natural we’re expecting big things from 2024! Here’s what the new year has in store for reality television fans.

    First Dates

Confirmed to return to Channel 4 on January 2 at 10pm

After all the drama with Nella Rose on I’m A Celebrity 2023, maître d’ Fred Sirieix is back on our screens in January with new First Dates. The BAFTA-winning dating series returns to the romantic city of Bath to kickstart the dating lives of new singletons. In fact, 2024’s series is described as “its biggest series yet”.

    The Traitors

Confirmed to return to BBC One on January 3 at 9pm

Fresh off the back of winning an Entertainment Daily Award for Best Reality Show, The Traitors returns early in the new year. Claudia Winkleman fronts the series, which sees 22 strangers compete to win a prize of £120,000. Of course, there’s slightly more to it than that: some of the contestants are “traitors”, secretly working to eliminate players until they can grab the prize money for themselves. The non-traitors, or “faithfuls”, must correctly identify the traitors or that money is stolen from right underneath their noses.

    Love Island All Stars

Confirmed to premiere on ITV2 and ITVX in January 2024

What’s more iconic than epic dating series Love Island? Love Island, with all its biggest and most iconic stars back for a second chance at finding love. That’s right, Love Island is finally doing an All Stars version in January 2024. Maya Jama returns to host the series, which films in South Africa.

    Race Across the World

Confirmed to return to BBC One in 2024

2023 saw contestants travelling across Canada’s picturesque and vast landscapes, as Tricia and Cathie came out on top. While we’re not sure where Race Across the World will go next, we are sure that it will return. It might even return relatively soon, given that applications to appear on the series closed in May 2023. The last three seasons of the show premiered in March, so we’d take a gamble on that.

    My Mum, Your Dad

Confirmed to return to ITV1 and ITVX in 2024

The heartwarming new dating show, hosted by Davina McCall, is also due to return in 2024. My Mum, Your Dad sees single parents busting out the romance with one twist – their children are watching it all. The last series was such a success that one of its lasting couples, Janey and Roger, are sharing their Christmas plans with OK! magazine months later. Though we don’t have a release date exactly, we do know the show will return in 2024 with “new twists”.

    Married at First Sight UK

Confirmed to return to E4 in 2024

The says-what-it-is-on-the-tin reality show will also return in 2024, after going from strength to strength in 2023. With more episodes and a more diverse cast than ever before, the series continued to be a big hit for E4. November’s reunion revealed that couples such as Tasha and Paul are still together, so it’s a success on that front too. Again, there’s no confirmation on dates but the series usually airs around late August/early September.

    Big Brother

Confirmed to return to ITV in 2024

Maybe ratings-wise it wasn’t exactly the glittering return ITV hoped for with new Big Brother in 2023, but it is confirmed to return for a second shot in 2024. After five years away from our screens, ITV revived the classic reality show for the 2020s. There were fresh new hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, new challenges and a beautiful new house. Applications for 2024 are open now if you’d like to be a part of it. Considering applications don’t close until July, we’d probably guess at a late 2024 return date – which is what ITV went for in 2023.
