  • Music Rewind 2025: Kesha Embraced A New ‘GLOW’ Up Era

    Honey Bees and Kesha’s Animals, 2025 was such a big year for one of our favorite pop stars, Kesha. In 2024, she fully went independent and launched a record label called Kesha Records. In 2025, we saw her do a mix of everything to embrace her new era, including ‘GLOW’ing up with a new album, collaborating with other artists, and more. Let’s look back at some of the biggest moments of Kesha’s year.

    ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY.’

    On March 27, 2025, Kesha had us singing “We lit up like a bonfire, singing yippee-ki-yay, yippee-ki-ya-ya” when she released her first single of the year, ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY.’ With the song, we heard a different side of Kesha: a country pop side. We couldn’t help but embrace it. It didn’t stop there, however. She released a second version of the song on the same day, featuring rapper T-Pain. The collaboration is one we didn’t know we needed. T-Pain knows how to make a collaboration era, including ‘GLOW’ing up with a new album, collaborating with other artists, and more. Let’s look back at some of the biggest moments of Kesha’s year.

    There’s nothing like a musician embracing their ‘FREEDOM’ when they become independent. For Kesha, she released her first independent album, .(PERIOD.) on July 4, 2025. The album consisted of 11 songs, with no collaborations. We got a raw, real Kesha who’s getting to make music she wants, without any restraints.

    The album features a range of pop songs, including the country pop song we mentioned above. We have Kesha embracing her ‘FREEDOM’ and yelling ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ while taking us on a ‘JOYRIDE.’ Our favorite lyrics from the album? We have a lot of them, but if we have to narrow it down, it would be, “I’m a star, you ain’t even in my galaxy; Yeah, you on my TikTok, I’m the f*cking OG,” from ‘GLOW.’ The album is a beautiful insight into what we can expect from her in the future. She’s taking control of her career, and we love it.

    THE T*TS OUT TOUR

    The first thought we had was Period is right there to name the tour, but we had to remember this is Kesha we’re talking about! Her summer tour, THE T*TS OUT TOUR, was announced on April 3. Those who went on tour, or should we say, on the ‘JOYRIDE‘ with her, included the Scissor Sisters, Slayyyter, and Rose Gray in select cities across the United States. At a later date, she released tour dates for Europe and the UK.

    She put on a SHOW with each stop. We’ve seen her shredding a guitar, carrying around a Kesha-like mannequin head on stage, and reclaiming herself. So far, it’s been a tour for the books. While the first leg is over, the Europe and UK leg is right around the corner.

    J-Pop Collaboration

    “Sour, bitter, pour it up, キラ, Heaven, lemon, sugar-free venom,” catchy lyrics, right? The lyrics are from J-pop girl group f5ve’s song ‘Sugar Free Venom,’ featuring Kesha. It’s a tastefully sweet song empowering women. The song was perfect for her latest era. While she doesn’t make a physical appearance in the music video, her presence is still felt through her lyrics and the visual of her on a big screen.

    In the words or lyrics of Kesha, “Do I have your attention?” What’s better than Kesha releasing a brand new album? Her releasing, . (…) [PERIOD. (ELLIPSIS)] a few days after. The deluxe version of her album included nine bonus songs. Of these songs, she included ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ featuring T-Pain, and ‘BOY CRAZY’ featuring JADE. Between extra versions of songs from the PERIOD album and the new songs, Kesha knew what she was going for when creating her new era.

    KPopped

    If you’re a fan of K-pop, music shows, or both, you might’ve heard of Apple TV’s newest show KPopped. The show paired the biggest in music with K-pop artists to recreate the former hit songs. One of the episodes featured Kesha performing her single ‘JOYRIDE’ with J-pop group JO1. To see how both artists did, check out the clip below.

    Animal + Cannibal (15th Anniversary)

    If you had to choose between Kesha’s Animal and her album Cannibal, which one would you choose? We could have a ‘Party At A Rich Dude’s House,’ or we could continue to live a ‘Crazy Beautiful Life’ without a party. Either way, we’ll be celebrating it being fifteen years since Kesha released her Animal and Cannibal albums in 2010. To celebrate on November 21, 2025, the singer released Animal + Cannibal (15 Anniversary), combining the two albums into one. The album includes ‘Shots on the Hood of My Car’ and ‘Butterscotch,’ two previously unreleased songs. The album was worth a double feature, as fans of both albums no longer have to switch between them.

  • Music Rewind 2025: TXT Speak In Their ‘Love Language’

    2025, aka our seventh year with TXT, has come to an end! Yet again, it’s been another busy year for our five, full of success. There are plenty of moments for us to relive in this year’s edition of Music Rewind, so we honestly struggled to narrow it down! So, before we get stuck into it, here’s an honorable mention for new OSTs, TXT’s UNICEF partnership, and probably 304 other things. Ok, here we go!

    Hiatus & Return

    TXT’s 2025 started on a true high (a high-atus?), when they took some well-deserved time off! After a hectic 2024 and Soobin’s hiatus beginning a bit earlier than expected, MOAs couldn’t have been happier to see TXT get some rest. On their return, they kicked off with an ot5 episode of BEOMIDIO, including an in-person audience of MOAs! Doesn’t the time apart just make reuniting that much sweeter?

    ACT: PROMISE PT.2

    As soon as TXT were back to work, they started 2025 in a big way! They announced an extension of their third world tour, ACT: PROMISE, including a European leg for the first time ever. European MOAs were over the moon (seriously, see their genuine reactions here), and so was the THP hive. We attended the Barcelona and London shows, and we’re still not over it.

    ‘Panic’

    Feeling overwhelmed by how great TXT’s 2025 is already? Well, don’t ‘Panic.’ Or do. Because next up was the members’ first solo release of the year! Beomgyu wrote, produced, and of course, released his first mixtape track, ‘Panic,’ which was allegedly heavily influenced by the group’s brief hiatus. Months later, we’re still completely enamored by the indie track, and we can’t wait for more solo Beomgyu in the future!

    ‘Love Language’

    In May, we celebrated TXT’s first comeback of the year! The digital single, ‘Love Language,’ quickly gained recognition, not just for how great the afro-house anthem is, but thanks to that dance move, too. And in case TXT hadn’t been busy enough on their first European tour, they filmed the music video whilst they were in Barcelona. Watching it, you wouldn’t think it had been freezing cold and pouring with rain the whole time, would you?

    The Star Chapter: TOGETHER

    From a digital single to their fourth full-length album, next up in TXT’s 2025 was The Star Chapter: TOGETHER! This album was special for many reasons, not least because it wrapped up all of TXT’s lore and fairytale-like storyline so far. An album essentially seven years in the making, TSC:T also gave us solo bsides from each member, and music videos for each of them. Plus, Yeonjun’s ‘Ghost Girl’ was filmed while on tour in London, in case you needed further proof that TXT love to multitask.

    ACT: TOMORROW

    TXT really leaned into the name references this year, didn’t they? Did no one tell them that The Name Chapter is so 2023? Anyway, in late Summer, TXT embarked on their fourth world tour, which basically carried them through to the end of the year. Spoiler alert, the next section is about a very special moment from the first ACT: TOMORROW shows…

    MOA’s Birthday & Contract Renewal

    In 2025, TXT turned seven! Once upon a time, this was thought of as the “cursed” year for idol groups, as it tends to be around this point that their initial contracts expire. This, if not the euphoria of seeing your faves renew their contracts, can lead to line-up changes or complete disbandment, aka a stan’s greatest fear.

    Not for TXT, though! 7 years, 5 months, and 18 days after their debut, the group announced that all members had renewed their contracts and would continue to promote as TOMORROW X TOGETHER. To make the moment even sweeter, TXT announced this themselves, on stage, during the opening show of ACT: TOMORROW, on MOA’s birthday! This wasn’t just a highlight for 2025, but all of TXT’s career!

    Starkissed

    It wouldn’t be a year with TXT, without a Japanese comeback, right? In October, we were gifted Starkissed, which is probably our fave Japanese album from tubatu ever. The lead single, ‘Can’t Stop,’ is agonisingly underrated, so we’ll carry the duty of making sure everyone falls in love with it! Plus, with plenty of original songs and Japanese versions of MOA favorites, what more could you ask for?

    NO LABELS: PART 01

    As if MOAs hadn’t had enough new music from TXT in 2025, we also got the first solo debut album from Yeonjun! NO LABELS: PART 01 is, no exaggeration, an utter masterpiece, as we have said many, many times. 2025 was an epic year for MOAs, but with NO LABELS: PART 02 potentially in our near future, maybe 2026 will be even more of a treat.

    Variety Shows

    Unsurprisingly, when it comes to this group, TXT weren’t content with just giving us bop after bop. Alongside guesting on plenty of variety shows, the members’ continued to star in their own shows! We got to devour plenty more TO DO and a second season of Soobin’s My Fave’s Faves, but that’s not all! Tubatu introduced NOT TO DO, which sees them check out things like personal color analysis.

    Most excitingly, though, Huening Kai and Taehyun launched brand new shows! Tefficient Terry, Taehyun’s show, in a similar vein to his previous series, Academy Reincarnation, saw him take on new jobs and concepts that are supposedly odd fits for those of us with T-type MBTIs. Most recently, Kai released the first couple of episodes of Countless Friends, where he tries to, well, make friends, whilst the other members (helpfully and unhelpfully) secretly guide him.

    Awards

    TXT won yet more awards in 2025 (though, obviously, we think they deserved even more), but one award show stands out more than the rest. Back in February, TXT attended the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards. Alongside their always-epic performances, they scooped some pretty important prizes. TXT won Global Artist – North America, and Yeonjun won Global Artist – Oceania, marking the first time any of them had won a solo award of this caliber. Most excitingly of all, our tubatu took home the Best Performance award, their very first daesang! That moment was a long time coming (and hideously overdue, TBH), so we couldn’t have been more thrilled for them. Here’s to more in 2026?!

    What’s Next?

    Speaking of 2026, what is up next for TXT? Well, as we said, we’ve got our fingers crossed that NO LABELS: PART 02 is in our near future. Are we spoilt? We’re also super excited to see which direction TXT take next for their album concepts, now that their storyline is all wrapped up! Regardless, we’re pretty confident we’ll eat it up.

  • Music Rewind 2025: Kane Brown Took The High Road With His Music

    When you think about Black country singers today, one of the ones that might come to mind is Kane Brown. He shows us why he has the potential to be one of the best country music artists every time he releases something new. 2025 was a great year for the singer. He released several music videos, a new album, toured, and more. Let’s look at what his year looked like.

    ‘Gorgeous’

    What happens when one wants to show their love and affection to their significant other? Some send a beautiful text, some buy gifts, and Kane Brown? He writes a gorgeous song and titles it ‘Gorgeous.’ The singer started his year off by releasing a song and music video for ‘Gorgeous’ on January 17, 2025. The video is simple, but it lets listeners focus on the lyrics instead of what happens in the video.

    The video shows a car in the middle of a desert, but in the beginning, Kane Brown isn’t shown. When he finally appears, it’s only to look at the camera before walking the distance into the desert and returning by the song’s end. He put so much love and care into the song’s lyrics. One of our favorite lines of the song is, “It’s your heart, it’s your mind, it’s what man just can’t design, it’s the beautiful inside that makes you gorgeous.” How beautiful is that?! We absolutely stan.

    The High Road Album

    Let’s put some ‘Miles On It’ and ‘Leave Things We Quit’ behind us and talk about Kane Brown’s fourth album. A week after ‘Gorgeous’ debuted, the singer released his album, The High Road. The album consisted of eighteen tracks and several collaborations. Among those collaborations is his wife, Katelyn Brown. Brown put his all into his song selection, focusing on what he wants from the lyrics to the sound.

    The album gave us a beautiful, yet personal glimpse of who he is, from being a father to being a husband to dealing with mental health. It has a relatable feel, and while not every song might be relatable to everyone, we’re sure a majority of readers and fans can relate to ‘I Am.’ Raise your hand if you can relate to “I’m scared of the unknown.”

    Good Morning America & GMA3 Live Performances

    What’s an album release without a few live performances? Well, it’s probably something, but we love to see our favorites perform their songs live whenever we can. Kane Brown appeared on shows, Good Morning America and GMA3, to perform ‘Backseat Driver’ and ‘Miles On It,’ respectively, following the release of his new album. It was a great taste of what everyone could expect from his tour. And while we don’t know who needs to hear this, let’s put some ‘Miles On It’ and ‘Leave Things We Quit’ in the past where they belong.

    The High Road Tour

    If you had to pick one country music artist to see in concert, why is it Kane Brown? If not, why isn’t it him? We’re not telling you to change your mind, but we are suggesting you might want to. The High Road Tour started in San Diego, CA, on March 13, 2025, and continued across North America and Europe/the UK for several months. He gave electrifying performances in each city. A few shows even included his family joining him on stage, making some shows have an extra personal touch.

    9-1-1: Nashville

    If you grew up in the 1990s and 2000s, you know what it’s like to constantly see one of your favorites starring in one of your favorite tv shows. You also know what it’s like for them to not only act but perform a song. Getting to witness things like that made for beautiful moments to talk about with your friends. During the series premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville, we got the best of both worlds. There are spoilers here; we’re basing this on the clips of Brown from the show’s trailer. We will say it’s an episode worth checking out if you’re a fan of his.

    DIVE, let’s talk about the chokehold IVE has had on K-Pop in 2025. In fact, it wasn’t just a comeback year; it was a global power move! Gaeul, An Yujin, Rei, WonYoung, Liz, and Leeseo gave us two iconic EPs that solidified their reputation as fourth-gen royalty, conquered stages from Paris to L.A., and launched a world tour that redefined the meaning of “sold out.” This was truly the year of the ultimate IVE takeover!

    A year this packed deserves a proper celebration: Welcome to the IVE 2025 Rewind.

    🎧 The Reign of Two Sides: Confidence and Hypnotic Charisma

    IVE kicked off 2025 by reminding everyone why they’re the standard with the IVE Empathy EP. Its title track, ‘ATTITUDE,’ was pure, unapologetic confidence, immediately becoming an anthem for self-determination. As a result, the music video for the title track quickly racked up millions of views, proving that DIVEs were absolutely ready for this era of self-assured queens. The confidence paid off—’ATTITUDE’ earned a massive four music show wins!

    But IVE wasn’t done showing their range. While dominating the Korean charts, they also dropped the fantastic Japanese album BE ALRIGHT, proving their commitment to musical expansion. Then, in the latter half of the year, they returned to Korea with the mysterious and addictive

    ✈️ Global Domination: From Lisbon to Lollapalooza

    Part of what makes this IVE 2025 Rewind so exciting is seeing just how many stages they conquered this year. 2025 really was the year IVE proved they can make any stage feel like home. Whether they were performing for thousands at a global festival or launching their second world tour.

    We got to relive the entire journey of THE 1ST WORLD TOUR with the highly anticipated Blu-ray DVD release. But before we could even recover from the nostalgia, IVE launched the incredible 2nd World Tour: SHOW WHAT I AM. Which started with a massive run at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on October 31, 2025!

    IVE also became absolute monarchs of the festival circuit, bringing their energy to massive stages across the globe:

    • Global Festivals: They blessed huge international stages like Lollapalooza Berlin, Lollapalooza Paris, and ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025.
    • K-Pop Power: They dominated major industry events like KCON LA and the All Loud KT Pop Concert in Kaohsiung, showcasing their massive appeal.
    • Broadcast Events: They were a staple on high-profile televised specials, including the 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer, Music Bank in Lisbon, and the 2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan.
    • Home Turf: Even back in Korea, they were the main event at the Korea University Festival and Sungkyunkwan University Festival.

    Seriously, name a major stage in 2025—IVE was there.

    Another part of this IVE 2025 Rewind is seeing how consistently they showed love to DIVE throughout the year.

    Basically, IVE ensured that DIVEs felt the love all year long, making every interaction count! The era started strong with the EMPATHY EP, which brought special offline fan-signs that allowed fans to connect directly with the members. DIVEs were thrilled by the K-MONSTAR fansign event in Taipei and the IDOUSTAGE fansign in Shanghai, demonstrating the group’s massive international reach right from the start of the year.

    Moving on to large-scale events, their fan concert series, IVE Scout, proved just how much fun they have with DIVE, traveling across multiple Japanese cities (including Kobe, Yokohama, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Aichi) after kicking off the excitement in Seoul in March. They also hosted the special A !Smart “IVE SECRET” fanmeets in Tokyo and Osaka to celebrate their EP album release. IVE truly made sure 2025 was all about the connection!

    ✨Versatility Queens: IVE’s Individual Dominance With OSTs And Their Own Variety Show

    While IVE shines as a unit, the members spent 2025 absolutely crushing it individually, proving their versatility across media. Their voices graced the small screen all year long! The group even contributed the powerful track ‘DARE ME’ to the Damemane! OST. Individually, An Yujin lent her beautiful voice to Resident Playbook OST Part 2 with the warm track ‘Sunny Day.’ Liz served up an incredible vocal range with ‘Heavy Love’  for Heavenly Ever After OST Part.5 and the super-cute Princess Catch! Teenie Ping OST, ensuring their music was everywhere!

    Beyond OSTs, we also got stunning covers showcasing their range. Gaeul gave us her take on ‘Chroma Drift’, An Yujin performed a mesmerizing rendition of ‘Golden’, and Liz stunned us all with her take on ‘바람 바람 바람 (Baram X 3).’

    Of course, we can’t ignore the unmatched brand power! Jang WonYoung starred in the iconic MALTO x Jang Won Young ‘Shake It Off’ music collaboration. And finally, DIVEs rejoiced as the group’s beloved reality show, 1,2,3 IVE, started its sixth season—proof that their variety game is still elite!

    👠 Runway Ready: Fashion Moments That Ruled the Year

    It wouldn’t be an IVE rewind without talking about fashion — because 2025 was another year where they effortlessly owned every frame, every carpet, and every front-row seat.

    From luxury brand events to viral editorial shoots, the members continued to prove why they’re fixtures in the global fashion conversation. Wonyoung’s high-fashion appearances sparked trends across social media, Yujin brought her signature cool-girl charisma to brand showings, and the group’s magazine features showcased a visual identity that only grows sharper with each era.

  • Music Rewind 2025: Justin Bieber Took ‘FIRST PLACE’ This Year

    Move over “67,” the real word of the year is “swag.”

    No one thought the year 2025 would have Justin Bieber’s name written all over it. As long-time Justin Bieber fans, we thought it would be a few more years until we heard from our ‘Boyfriend’ again. Just imagine our surprise when we had over 40 new songs in just the span of a few months. With the surprise release of SWAG and SWAG II this year, Justin Bieber truly proved he’s “standing on business” now more than ever.

    “Swag, Swag, Swag, On You”

    Chillin’ by the fire while we eatin’ fondue. Bieber Fever never truly left our system, and 2025 brought it back full force. There’s no talking about this year’s most successful albums without talking about SWAG. We knew Justin was cooking up some exciting new music for us when he started sprinkling posts of himself in the studio with collaborator Eddie Benjamin throughout his Instagram page. Obviously, fans were overjoyed, but we really didn’t know when the new music was dropping. It could be 2025, or it could be 2027. Justin is known for teasing his fans and the media, so it really was anyone’s guess. One morning, we woke up, and black posters and billboards all over the world sported the word “swag,” and we knew then that new music was on its way!

    The next morning, SWAG was on our Spotify pages, and we immediately hit play. All that to say, SWAG was one of our favorite releases of the year! Just a few months later, Justin made the most unexpected announcement. SWAG had a bubblegum pink sister album, SWAG II, and it was dropping just a few months later. Could this year get any better!?

    Justin Is Standing On Business

    With SWAG II being one of our top albums on Spotify Wrapped this year, we can confidently say that Justin Bieber dominated 2025. This year, Justin really stepped into his R&B sound, masterfully defining the genre on hit songs like ‘YUKON,’ ‘WALKING AWAY,’ and ‘DAISIES.’ He even gave us a new all-time favorite song in the melodic and emotional ‘DEVOTION.’

    Justin masterfully turned this year on its head and claimed it as his own. From iconic, and admittedly hilarious, paparazzi run-ins in public (at the beach, mind you) to showcasing his love for his growing family, we’re so glad we get to be a part of his success in 2025.

    What’s Next: Livestreaming, Coachella, SKYLRK & More!

    Although some fans had little expectations for Justin Bieber this year, he clearly proved everyone wrong. As the year closes out, we have a lot of high expectations for Justin in 2026. We are hoping to expect even more Twitch livestreams and livestream concerts as well as new products from his fashion and lifestyle brand, SKYLRK. We’ve got those slippers on our Christmas wish-lists already, and if anyone can turn us into Twitch users, it’s Justin Bieber.

    But, most excitingly, Justin is headlining Coachella next year! We haven’t seen Justin perform live since the Justice Tour, so we’re already counting down the days until he’s on that stage in the desert. You can probably find us on the barricade, screaming and crying to every word. Even after Coachella, we’re crossing our fingers that Justin will head out on his own solo world tour. He’s mentioned a few times that he’s ready to do a handful of live performances again, and even if we have to travel across the world, we will be there to support him.

  • Music Rewind 2025: Billie Eilish Proved That She’s ‘THE GREATEST’

    Man, she really is the greatest. Billie Eilish proved, yet again, that she’s got everyone wrapped around her finger. 2025 was a monumental year for the singer, and we are so grateful we got to witness it and be a part of it all year long. Even though Eilish didn’t release any new music this year, she traveled the world singing her smash hits, ‘LUNCH,’ ‘WILDFLOWER,’ and ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ to name a few, on the HIT ME HARD AND SOFT tour, released a new perfume, walked home with dozens more awards and nominations for her 2024 album, and managed to make us fall in love with her even more than we were before.

    HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR

    Billie Eilish spent all of 2025 traveling on tour. That also means we honeybees were also on the road with her (we have to admit we attended the tour a total of nine times)! Sorry, not sorry. You can’t just hear ‘THE GREATEST’ live once and never do it again. By the end of HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR, Billie performed 106 shows across the United States, Asia, and Europe, never missing a single night. What an accomplishment! This year also came with some exciting behind-the-scenes footage of the tour. Fans started picking up on the fact that Billie was carrying a small silver camera around with her, both on stage and off stage. Surprise! We’re getting vlogs?! What a special treat it was for us to follow along on Billie’s global travels. Now we get to relive all our favorite 2025 tour moments every day.

    Perfumes, Merchandise, & More!

    Billie is always in her fashion era, but this year seemed to take the cake. From a hat collection with COMPLEX to new perfumes from Eilish Frangrances, 2025 gave us all the gifts. The holiday season is the best season for Billie fans. We get to listen to ‘come out and play,’ shop special mystery merch boxes, and, most importantly, get a whiff of her latest perfume release, Your Turn II. Spoiler alert – it smells absolutely amazing! Go put it on your holiday wish list now. 2025 was filled with exciting merch drops and song anniversaries, including the 10th anniversary of the iconic ‘Ocean Eyes.’ This year, we celebrated all year long!

    What’s Next: 3D Tour Film, BE4, And The GRAMMY’s

    On her last tour stop in San Francisco, CA, Billie briefly mentioned she’s working on a new album with her brother FINNEAS. Do you think we’ll be getting BE4 in 2026? Before then, though, we have to relish in our amazing memories from the tour. Come March 20, 2026, fans get to relive their favorite moments from the tour in 3D. Working directly with James Cameron (aka the director of Avatar and Titanic), HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is hitting the big screen. Just imagine this – the ‘Guess’ remix playing with neon green flashing lasers and Billie dancing onstage right before your eyes, but in 3D. Whoa, this is going to be so cool! We’re already counting down the days.

    Finally, we can end the year with our fingers crossed that ‘WILDFLOWER’ wins Song of the Year at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards. Our girl worked so hard on it, and we know you all love it too. What a way to end a special year for Billie and her fans!
