Two people were arrested on Thursday in connection with the 2020 homicide of a Vacaville man, whose case was recently reshared by the police department, garnering new attention.Luther Harris, 37, was last seen in the parking lot of his apartment complex on Alamo Drive on April 30, 2020. His mother reported him missing after he did not contact her on Mother’s Day, Vacaville police said. For years, Harris was considered a missing person and on Aug. 29 of this year, the police department reshared his case on social media. On Sept. 5, the police department said new information led them to reclassify his death as a homicide.On Thursday, Vacaville police said officers arrested 41-year-old John Lipsey of Woodland for the murder of Harris. Erika Kelsh, 33, of Woodland, was also arrested for being an accessory to murder.Officials have not specified what led to the arrests or the circumstances surrounding Harris’ death. However, the police department said that in December 2024, new evidence indicated Harris was the victim of homicide.Vacaville police said the investigation into the homicide remains active. Two people were arrested on Thursday in connection with the 2020 homicide of a Vacaville man, whose case was recently reshared by the police department, garnering new attention.
Luther Harris, 37, was last seen in the parking lot of his apartment complex on Alamo Drive on April 30, 2020.
His mother reported him missing after he did not contact her on Mother’s Day, Vacaville police said.
For years, Harris was considered a missing person and on Aug. 29 of this year, the police department reshared his case on social media.
On Sept. 5, the police department said new information led them to reclassify his death as a homicide.
On Thursday, Vacaville police said officers arrested 41-year-old John Lipsey of Woodland for the murder of Harris. Erika Kelsh, 33, of Woodland, was also arrested for being an accessory to murder.
