  • KISS Guitarist Ace Frehley Dead At 74 Weeks After Scary Accident At His Home – Perez Hilton

    Oh, no. The rock world has lost a true original: Ace Frehley, the iconic founding guitarist of KISS and the man behind the band’s legendary “Spaceman” persona, has tragically passed away at the age of 74.

    The news broke Thursday and sent shockwaves right away. According to a heartbreaking statement from his family, the rocker died earlier that day in Morristown, New Jersey, following complications from a fall he suffered at his home several weeks ago.

    In their message, sent to People on Thursday night, his family wrote:

    “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.”

    And the family didn’t stop there. They made sure to pay tribute to who Ace was as a person, beyond just the leather and loud guitars:

    “We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”

    Oof. That hits hard.

    TMZ had previously reported Ace was placed on life support due to a brain bleed caused by the fall, which happened at some point last month. Just a few weeks ago, on September 25, he addressed fans directly via Instagram, downplaying the incident as a “minor” fall and citing doctor’s orders as the reason he had to cancel a show in Lancaster, California.

    At the time, fans were reassured with a statement saying he was “fine” and still hard at work on his next solo album, Origins Vol. 4. But that optimism slowly faded. On October 6, less than two weeks before his passing, Frehley officially canceled the rest of his 2025 tour due to “ongoing medical issues.” And now we know just how serious those issues were.

    Born Paul Frehley in the Bronx, Ace skyrocketed to fame in the ’70s as the original lead guitarist of KISS. He helped form the band in 1973 alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. His “Spaceman” alter ego was a cultural stamp on rock history.

    Ace officially left KISS in 1982 after internal tensions with the band. He had a thriving solo career, and then reunited with KISS for a successful reunion in 1996. His final performance with them came in 2018 on the KISS Kruise.

    So sad. Ace was a rockstar in every sense of the word.

    Tori Spelling is opening up about her final conversation with Shannen Doherty.

    It’s been over ten days now since the iconic actress sadly passed away amid her years-long battle with cancer, and her friends and co-stars are clearly still trying to wrap their minds around it. During Monday’s episode of the 90210MG podcast, which was sweetly titled Remembering Shannen Doherty, the late 53-year-old’s Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars Tori and Jennie Garth discussed their final words with Shannen. Tori said:

    “I’ve had a lot of death in my life, and I don’t believe in regrets, but I have a lot of regrets that I didn’t have that time to have a second chance to get past stuff from the past and look at all the good things and really talk it out and have that last conversation.”

    But luckily that’s NOT the case with Shannen. The mom of five continued:

    “I feel like she and I had that, and I’m super grateful for that.”

    She didn’t give details on what exactly they talked about, but Jennie was happy to hear about Tori and Shannen’s interaction. She responded:

    “I was thinking definitely of you, Tor, and how happy you must have been to have that time with her and to have that sort of just reconnection on a deeper level as both of you matured and grown and learned so much.”

    But for Garth, she did not have the same. Jennie added:

    “I wished that I had had that opportunity because I didn’t really get to sit down and have like [a] heartfelt conversation with her recently, but I was very glad that you did.”

    That’s really too bad… And possibly why she’s reportedly not getting an invite to Shannen’s funeral!

    Spelling also added that she’s “not doing well” since the Charmed star’s passing, noting that she hasn’t really been “emotionally” ready to talk about it. However, she has felt a responsibility to do so:

    “For me, I honestly, as you know, didn’t want to do this. I just emotionally didn’t feel ready. And I feel like I know a lot of people are speaking out and giving lovely tributes to her in her memory, but I just, oh, I obviously wanted to do this for the fans, so this episode is for them, not for us.”

    Tori continued:

    “I guess it was just that belief that she fought so hard and was such a warrior. And she has shown her entire life and career you’re everything that she can get past anything. So although we know the answer is so evil and takes everyone that we love, it just I don’t know. I guess she made you believe that she was the one that would make it and she was so hopeful.”

    Tori, as well as many of her other 90210 co-stars, offered loving tributes after Shannen’s death, which you can read HERE.

    The mourning star then concluded:

    “I’ve spent my whole life living in fear, and I’ve always been a fearful person, and I didn’t feel fear at all when she passed. I just felt sad. I felt sad for the second chapter she had, and I was so excited for that chapter for her and wanted her so badly to have that.”

    So sad. Shannen was definitely taken too soon.

    Why can’t we have nice things? After Rep. Jasmine Crockett clapped back at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a House Oversight Committee hearing earlier this week by bringing up her “bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body,” all eyes turned to Saturday Night Live. Surely the sketch show, and specifically Ego Nwodim, would make a meal out of that moment. Right? Well unfortunately, Nwodim took to Twitter midday Saturday to announce that despite fans (and the world at large) begging for her to take on the role, it isn’t happening. “Devastated to announce I will not be playing Rep. Jasmine Crockett tonight. Please respect my privacy as I grieve,” Nwodim wrote, bracing us all for disappointment. Crockett herself even replied, writing, “Let us all bow our heads and say a prayer for peace… like Lauren Boebert did during the hearing 🙄.”

    Does this mean the finale will skip over the congressional sparring entirely? Or will someone else be taking on the role of Rep. Crockett? And if so, who? Maybe Sabrina Carpenter will address it in her “Nonsense” outro? Or perhaps Crockett herself will appear to dole out even more roasts? In any case, as a consolation to those mourning not getting to see Nwodim slay some C-SPAN humor — Bowen Yang has thankfully posted his annual Ego Nwodim end-of-season Instagram supercut. She is cutting up.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The death of two law enforcement officers has shaken the community, and will be felt for, “Days, weeks, months and years,” said Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile.

    A briefing was held on Monday, April 15, about the Sunday, April 14, shooting that killed Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jenson and Onondaga Sheriff’s Lieutenant Michael Hoosock.

    The Syracuse Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Mayor Ben Walsh, Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and President of the Syracuse Police Benevolent Association, Joe Muran, were all in attendance.

    “More than just remembering them, we will honor them,” said Chief Cecile about the fallen heroes.

    The incident happened around 7 p.m. on Sunday when Officer Jensen and another officer observed a gray Honda Civic in Tipperary Hill that they deemed suspicious.

    They attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect, 33-year-old Christopher R. Murphy of Salina, fled. Cecile says Murphy was going at speeds of over 100 mph.

    Officer Jensen and his partner used Murphy’s plate and registration to track him to a home on Darien Drive in Salina.

    When they arrived at the home, they were greeted by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and Lieutenant Deputy Michael Hoosock.

    They were all inspecting the vehicle when they heard, “A gun being manipulated,” according to Cecile.

    That gun was Murphy’s AR-15, a semi-automatic firearm.

    Hoosock went behind a maple tree in a neighbor’s yard to take cover when he was “Ambushed,” said Shelley. Murphy began shooting at the officers from his back deck, which is where he killed Hoosock.

    He then moved to the front yard, where he shot and killed Officer Jensen, and it was after that officers shot and killed Murphy.

    “This is something you can never prepare for,” explained Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley

    “Two of our brothers gave the ultimate sacrifice,” said Shelley.

    Officer Michael Jensen of the Syracuse Police Department had served for over two years.

    Jensen thought he was going to do what he signed up for which was to enforce the law, but, “Unfortunately an evil demon took him away,” said Muran.

    According to Cecile, Jensen quickly made a difference in the environment around him.

    Lieutenant Deputy Michael Hoosock joined the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in 2007. He was a Watch Commander, a Bomb Squad Commander and a recipient of commendations and medals, including the Medal of Valor in 2020.

    On top of that, he was part of the Critical Emergency Management Department, a Field Director for fire service and a volunteer firefighter at the Moyers Corner Fire Department.

    Lieutenant Hoosock leaves behind a wife, and three children, ages three, five and seven.

    Syracuse Mayor Walsh thanked first responders and hospital staff who were, “Nothing short of heroic.”

    At the emergency room after the incident, over 100 officers and deputies showed up to honor the fallen. Muran said you could hear a pin drop.

    “We have officers in this room right now that are grieving. We have officers that are in their homes right now that are grieving. We have officers out on the streets continuing to protect them while they’re grieving. Please wrap your arms around them and lift them up,” said Walsh.

    Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick says they are working on the what right now.

    “Who fired what, where were they, who actually killed Murphy, we already know who killed Hoosock and Jensen,” said Fitzpatrick.

    Their next step is to find out the why.

    “How does a guy go from DEFCON 5 to DEFCON 1 over a bunch of traffic tickets,” explained Fitzpatrick.

    Fitzpatrick says that Murphy warned his friend to get out of the house, leading police to believe this incident wasn’t spontaneous, but rather that he was looking to kill cops.

    The sheriff’s office also took a man named Shawn Kinsella into custody, who they say is a friend of Murphy’s. No charges have been filed at this time.

    Kristin Davis is mourning the loss of her on-screen mother-in-law.

    Sex and the City star Frances Sternhagen, who played Kristin’s MIL Bunny MacDougal, passed away on Monday at age 93, according to her family who announced the sad news on Wednesday. She “died peacefully of natural causes,” a statement read.

    Now, the And Just Like That lead is taking a moment to pay her respects to her former co-star. Sharing a pic of them from the show to her Instagram Story shortly after the news broke, the 58-year-old emotionally mused:

    “Just heard that glorious Frances Sternhagen has passed away. She lived a wonderful, full life and was a joy to work with. Thinking of her family”

    So sweet.

    As Perezcious readers might know, Frances left a big impact on the hit drama with her role as the shrewd mother of Kyle MacLachlan‘s Trey — earning her a third Emmy nomination (she took home the award for her role as the mother on The Closer). She was also on ER and Cheers, among screen projects, and earned two Tony Awards for her work on Broadway.

    So far, none of the other Sex and the City cast members have publicly shared condolences, but fans have taken to X (Twitter) to honor her, writing:

While everyone has been grieving this tragic loss, one of his co-stars allegedly was stepping up to make sure Matthew’s furry friend had someone to take care of him and a place to call home moving forward. An insider claimed Lisa was “considering taking in his beloved dog Alfred.”

    However, it turns out that is not happening! She’s not adopting his pup whatsoever. In fact, according to Us Weekly, a source confirmed Matthew did not even own a pet prior to his death!!

    That said, he did spend time with a doodle mix named Alfred. That was a dog he shared with his ex-fiancée Molly Hurwitz at one point. But it seems when they broke up in 2021, she ended up getting custody of the dog. The proof? Molly has posted a ton of pictures of him on social media since the split.     Meanwhile, Matthew last shared a pic of Alfred in February 2021, writing:

    “We all know who rules the Perry household even without the crown. You can follow my boy @alfreddoodleperry, where we’ll be sharing photos and videos, telling you about our favorite pet brands, and presenting some tips to keep our dogs safe!”

    So it seems Molly has been taking care of Alfred for years,  and thus, he will remain with her at this time. Makes sense, TBH.
