I’m a Former Dancer—30 Balletcore Beauty Finds I’m Dreaming About

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.

I’m a former ballet dancer, so it’s safe to say I’m a little more than in love with the balletcore aesthetic. Baby pink is one of my favorite colors; satin ribbons, tulle skirts, and ballet flats are mainstays in my wardrobe; and my hair is in a bun 99% of the time. Naturally, my affinity for pretty things extends to my beauty routine as well. I’ve rounded up some gorgeous finds that embody balletcore to a T, many of which I’ve used to get dolled up for performances. I Spot Trends for a Living—These 30 Fall Finds Have My Full Attention

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

As a fashion editor, I’m acutely aware of all the current trends on the scene and have basically made it a pastime of mine to uncover emerging micro-trends about to make it big next. Since I spend so much of my time trendspotting and reporting on the styles that are in and out, I tend to rack up a massive shopping list for all the holes in my own closet. At the start of each new season, I keep a running tab of all the pieces I want to add to my wardrobe to nail each of the overarching trends I’m seeing.

On my list of trendy clothes for fall 2023 are items such as draped dresses, big ’80s earrings, and fishnets (just to name a few) that represent each of the larger trends I want to test out myself. By keeping a list like this, I’m able to avoid making impulsive purchases and ensure that each item I add to my virtual shopping cart is one that I’ll be satisfied with in several months’ time.

We have finally made it to my favorite time of year and I couldn’t be happier. Fall gives me an opportunity to lean in to get cozy and prioritize all the things that make me feel good. One the biggest ways I do this is by switching up my fragrance picks, skincare, makeup routine, and haircare to reflect my lifestyle. This year, it’s all about luxury. That’s right, we’re talking paying little to no attention to the price tags and going all out for myself.

The best part? I’m not the type to gate keep my favorites. Below you’ll find every single luxurious product across the previously mentioned categories that I’m planning to invest in for the autumn/winter season. If you’re finally ready to embrace your inner Jasmine Tookes or Sofia Richie, you’ll want to keep reading with your credit card at the ready! They scream quiet luxury in the best way.

It’s Fashion Month—30 Show-Worthy Items I’m Building My Outfits Around

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly franchise that goes live every Monday. The story features a list of one editor or influencer’s current favorite 30 fashion or beauty products around a certain theme.

The days leading up to New York Fashion Week, aka the first stop of four in the marathon that is fashion month, are some of the busiest of the entire year for those who call the industry home. Not only do you have to make your schedule for some of, if not the entire month, locked in, you also need to brainstorm coverage ideas, meet with publicists, attend pre-NYFW events, and, the most mentally taxing of all, plan your outfits.

Since fashion month’s kickoff is just days away, I as a fashion editor, am knee-deep in the planning process, taking inspiration from the runways (both current and archival), street style, my never-ending Instagram saved folder, and more, and pulling from my existing closet before shopping out the final touches. It’s a full-time job, but one that’s certainly worth it when fashion month comes around and I love everything I’m wearing. (Yes, it does make a difference.) Scroll down for a sneak peek into my fashion-month wishlist.

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

Listen, I love summer, but spending so much time outside, under the sun, and in the water, takes a toll. Despite my best efforts to apply (and reapply) sunscreen, use hydrating products, moisturize my hair, and lay off heat tools, I find myself in need of a boost come fall. That’s where I’m at right now. When I look in the mirror, I see dark spots and lackluster skin. I see split ends and breakage in my hair. Even my nails are worse for wear.

Alas, I’m a beauty editor, and I won’t put up with this. That’s why, this year, I’m taking my fall beauty routine seriously. I’m investing in high-tech skin devices and science-backed skincare products. I’m investing in moisturizing hair masks and shine-boosting treatments. I’m even focusing on using makeup products that will help me minimize the new imperfections that popped up this summer. In other words, I’m consciously and meticulously crafting my fall beauty routine so I can squeeze every last benefit out of it. Ahead, check out all 30 items.

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

I’m going to be honest: I have expensive taste, especially when it comes to beauty products. I will happily splurge on all my favorites, but I’m always down to save a little money. (Who isn’t?) So when I heard that some of my favorite luxury brands would actually be discounted during Nordstrom’s Beauty Anniversary Sale, I low-key freaked out. [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.

I’ll be totally honest, there are luxury beauty products out there that I think are totally worth the extra dollars and ones that I would never spend a dime on. Although I love the idea of a high-end mask, serum, or oil that will give me glowing skin overnight, I also resonate with the philosophy that you don’t always have to spend a ton of money to have great skin. Case in point, I have at least 30 beauty products on my “all time favorites” list that are all under the $50 mark—shocking, I know!

I also don’t like to keep any secrets. These products deserve the spotlight and I’m here to make sure that they get it. If you’re in a spending type mood, but don’t want to go too overboard, keep scrolling. I’m sharing my list of under-$50 beauty products I just can’t imagine myself without.

I’m in My “Dressing Like Sofia Richie” Era–See 30 Picks I’m Ordering ASAP

    [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

The internet craze over Sofia Richie Grainge has gotten me too. After the over-the-top American royal wedding of the stunning daughter of musical legend Lionel Richie to the adorable British music executive that sent the internet into a tizzy and raised Richie Grainge’s Instagram followers to upwards of two million, she has been given full It-girl status. The Sofia-Richieification of my wardrobe started right then and there. The thing I love about her style is that it’s chic, elevated, and oh so luxe while still having a youthful feeling, as she is still only 24 years old. She has this sophisticated but not stuffy vibe going on, and I’m all about it. As someone who is also 24 years old, I decided to not let the whole “not a nepo baby of a music legend” thing hold me back from entering my It-girl era and just start dressing like one. As they always say, you don’t dress for the job you have—you dress for the job you want.

Keep scrolling to see which 30 items I’m eyeing to nail my Sofia Richie era.

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

As someone who’s easily tempted by bright shiny objects, I’ll admit that I’ve made my fair share of shopping “mistakes” over the years. But I can’t blame myself for wanting to try the latest trends—I am a fashion editor, after all. That said, I’ve turned over a new leaf in recent times, as I’ve grown tired of finding myself retiring items I’ve only worn once or twice. It’s not a great feeling, so I’ve recently been focusing my shopping energy (and funds) on items with longevity. Even if I won’t be wearing all of these items ten years down the road, there’s a lot to be said for something I get, say, four years of wear out of.

In case we’re on the same wavelength and you, too, want a more timeless, versatile wardrobe, I’m sharing 30 items with you that meet those criteria. Scroll to shop my picks.

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 30 fashion and beauty finds on their current wish list.

Let me tell you something: I, for one, am ready for summer. After a long, rainy winter and a slow start to warmer temps, I’ve never wanted a humid, New York City summer more. The first sign of summer, as a beauty editor, is when I start making smart product swaps for hot weather. Once it gets above 80 degrees outside, I banish all full-coverage makeup and heavy creams, and prioritize glowy skin, glossy lips, and products that make my humidity-sensitive hair more managable. This summer, there are a few products I’ll be prioritizing above the rest. Keep scrolling for all of my summer essentials that will be on repeat all season long.

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.

Summer is easily the only season that simultaneously excites and disappoints me. The promise is always there: The fun clothes! The easy makeup! The warm weather! But more often than not, I’m reminded that I’m not, in fact, in high school anymore and won’t be on a two-month-long vacation, and I really shouldn’t have taken my glory days for granted.

Putting my mixed feelings aside, I’ve got to hand it to Walmart for making me at least feel like I’ve got places to go this summer. From seriously cute beach totes to on-trend eyewear to makeup that makes me shine (in the good way), this curated collection of pieces is serving all style, no splurge. [ad_1]

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.

I’ve gone through many phases over the years: some good, some seriously questionable, and others I’d like to fully erase from time—like when I was in a committed relationship with my self-tanner. Actually, I was more like a stage-five clinger. I became completely attached to my orange-tinted skin and couldn’t be stopped. I eventually snapped out of it, went through some other head-scratching times, and ended up here, in what I’ve coined as my “spending era.”

Sure, I’ve always been a shopper, but I’ve never felt this constant urge to buy things. I swear it’s like my credit card is hypnotizing me, begging me to use it, so now my laptop has a minimum of 20 tabs open at all times, and my online carts are always full. The upside is I’ve become a master curator, especially in the beauty department. I might be spending more often, but I’m also finding truly great deals. As proof, I’ve put together a list of 30 seriously affordable (and honestly underrated) beauty finds that I’ve either bought or have big plans to buy.

Some people are really into spring cleaning, but I can definitely say I’m not one of them. Instead of trimming down my arsenal of moisturizers, serums, and gadgets when the time rolls around, I seem to find myself with an even longer wish list of items to add to my rotation. Oops.

I know having a 30-item wish list might seem a tad unrealistic, but I consider these items safe bets to use well into summer and beyond. The weather is also warming up and for me, that means soft, pastel-hued makeup, lots of SPF, and some serious hydration. What is it about the arrival of spring—and even the mere thought of it—that gets my heart beating a little bit faster? Now that we’ve hit that trans-season time period where even the slightest glimmer of warmer weather to come has me fully pivoting to spring mode, I’m going full steam ahead, starting with my favorite spring fashion finds. I won’t even so much as look at another one of my coats until next October.
