After Macpherson doubled down on her insistence she was right to snub the advice of 32 doctors to follow traditional treatments for her breast cancer, Kennerley, 70, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2012, blasted: “I understand Elle did what she thought was good for her personally, but the very fact she has resisted any other medical treatment absolutely terrifies me.
“Without question, it will result in the future that somebody will take that line and feel confident enough to try and do it themselves naturally, and someone is going to die.”
Kennerley added 60 Minutes was “irresponsible” to recently air a special sit-down with Macpherson about her cancer-fighting methods.
She said for the show to have been “seriously responsible”, they should have had an “oncologist who could actually balance Elle’s remarks”.
Kennerley also fumed: “I believe 60 Minutes was irresponsible by not having an oncologist who would give an alternative point of view.
“They should have absolutely gotten an oncologist that said, ‘As an oncologist, I’ve seen this type of cancer and many other types of cancers in my 30-year career. People who have not followed the advice have died’.”
Price then mentions fleeing the scene because she was worried about her own health, saying: “I don’t want to be traumatized right now.”
Adding to the suspicion, Price did not accompany Coleman to the hospital and later made the decision to take him off life support – despite Coleman’s wishes to be kept alive for two weeks in case of a catastrophe.

It was around three years after Brown’s election that Harris got her biggest break – San Francisco district attorney Terence Hallinan hired her to head up his office’s Career Criminal Unit.
Schweizer says in his book Hallinan insisted Harris’ close bond with Brown had “nothing to do with the hiring”.
But when the number two slot in the prosecutor’s office opened up and Harris was passed over for the promotion by Hallinan, the writer said “Brown seemed furious”.

Schweizer added the “Brown machine” soon cranked up again to help Harris run against Hallinan.
By 2003, she announced her decision to challenge her ex-boss for his position as San Francisco DA – and, as the writer puts it, she had plenty of help from the “Willie Brown Machine” as it “ran so much of San Francisco”.

Rebecca Prozan, a former Brown aide, was recruited as Harris’ campaign manager to give her a boost, and her finance chair during her run for Hallinan’s job was Mark Bell – a major Democratic Party fund-raiser.
Armed with a letter from Brown, a political consultant named Philip Muller also established an independent expenditure committee called the California Voter Project, Schweizer reveals.
He had worked on both of Brown’s mayoral races and the flow of money directly into her campaign with the Brown-linked support network was “unlike anything the district attorney’s race had ever seen”, says Schweizer.

Harris was elected San Francisco’s district attorney in 2003 supported by a team of Brown-linked backers.
Much of the cash sluiced in from the “super-wealthy of San Francisco who were close to Brown” according to the writer – and the mayor himself gave the maximum contribution of $500 and wrote a letter telling the city’s elite to cough up the same.
Schweizer stated: “The San Francisco elite embraced her, which meant all-white fund-raisers in Pacific Heights.
“Friends and alliances with the San Francisco elite she had formed while dating Willie Brown also came to her aid.”

She has denied there was a drive by Brown to help her career – but the San Francisco Chronicle noted about her Hallinan campaign “a large number of her contributors also have been donors to Harris’ one-time boyfriend and political sponsor, Mayor Willie Brown”.
But the ongoing outrage over the failure – also revealed by RadarOnline.com – has done nothing to stop her rise to the top, and she is now the betting favorite to beat former president Donald Trump, 78, to win the White House in less than 90 days.

The Chinese American chef said she was “very calm” when the doctors delivered the news: “As a chef, I’ve always thrived under pressure. I was extremely focused on getting all the tests and scans as fast as possible, so I can start on the treatment plans.”
She revealed surgeons said one option was to completely remove her tongue, and that would give her the highest survival rate: “I broke down, crying … trying to put thoughts together…”
However, the surgeon then told her: “There is another option, which was a unicorn case, at the University of Chicago, they cured a patient (a chef!) with radiation and chemo.”

After telling Chung she would have to go to Chicago for treatment, she stated: “Higher survival rate, or keep my tongue? I chose to keep my tongue. I am a fighter, I am a chef, I can be that unicorn too.”

Zhang follows Chung on Instagram and said it was “shocking” when she learned about her diagnosis, “because I know how much she loves cooking and food and this place.”
Zhang’s verdict on the food? “As a Chinese person, you can tell just how much care is taken to make the meat and you can tell right away that the pickled vegetables are homemade.”

She also noted the thing she “really loves” about Chung is “nothing can get her down.”
Waitress Michelle echoed that sentiment. Even though she doesn’t have a new job lined up yet, she remained positive, saying: “I think we’re more worried about [Chung’s] recovery.
“I hope that she gets better, and we’ll see what comes from there. Who knows? Maybe she’ll do a comeback.”
