    [ad_1]

More than five years passed since Megan Thee Stallion’s (Megan Pete’s) shooting, but she revealed the ordeal left wounds more than skin-deep. As BOSSIP previously reported, Megan sued Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson) and his “paid surrogate” Milagro Gramz (Milagro Cooper) for a years-long campaign to “denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms, for no other reason than to bully, harass and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.”

Megan Thee Stallion Takes The Stand With Tearful Testimony About Wanting To Kill Herself After Deepfake Porn Circulated

The Grammy winner broke down in tears that she “wanted to die” after Gramz allegedly directed her millions of followers to view the A.I.-generated sex tape using Megan’s likeness in 2024. Legal Affairs and Trials with Meghann Cuniff reports the jury viewed the computer-generated clip in court on Monday.

When Megan’s former manager T-Farris (Travis Farris) told her about it circulating online, she struggled with suicidal ideation and not “feeling like existing anymore.”

“I don’t want to be here. I’m tired of waking up. I didn’t care what happened. I just wanted to tie. I was so tired of being alive,” she said.

Megan revealed that she fought thoughts of self-harm because she believed that’s what Tory and Milagro wanted:

“So I can’t kill myself because I don’t want to give them what they’re looking for.” She continued, “I feel like … to this day, I feel a little, like, defeated. Because no matter what, no matter if the video was fake or not … [Gramz] wanted it to be real.”

The mental health advocate also hoped her strength could empower “another woman out there going through that.” She added, “All the things that I went through and I’m still going through hopefully can inspire other women to want to tell their truth.”

See how Megan Thee Stallion’s emotional distress led to $240,000 worth of therapy and why her lawyers speculate a romance between Milagro Gramz and Tory Lanez father after the flip.

Megan Thee Stallion Suffered PTSD, Required $240K Worth Of Therapy Over Deepfake

Megan testified that the jury’s review of the explicit A.I.-generated video was still “really embarrassing to have to look at a bunch of people you don’t know see you in a position like that,” she said. “Like, I know it’s not me, but being in front of everybody else, and they have to watch it … it’s really embarrassing.”

According to TMZ, T-Farris took the stand to testify that Megan’s recovery from the deepfake cost $240,000 for a month of intensive therapy for emotional distress. She apologized that her friend had to witness the footage even though it wasn’t real.

The expensive treatments took place at a medical facility for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which helps teaches how to store trauma in the brain. Dr. Lenore Walker later testified about diagnosing Megan with PTSD.

In addition to false images of the star going viral, Megan battled “false narratives” like a rumors that she slept with T-Farris. Milagro repeatedly called Megan a liar about the shooting and her relationship with Tory, which she admitted during the shooting trial was sexual at one time.

However, Megan’s attorney’s claim Milagro was possibly hiding an affair of her own with Tory’s father, Sonstar Peterson. The belligerent blogger was already sanctioned for deleting 20,000 texts with Sonstar despite court orders to preserve those communications.

TMZ reports Megan’s legal team speculated about a “romantic relationship between Tory’ dramatic daddy and Milagro based on “alleged text messages in which Sonstar gave Milagro direct instructions how to get into the security gate of his Tarzana home” and an exchange of “love you” messages.

  • Tory Lanez Fined $20,000 After Refusing To Answer Deposition Questions In Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawsuit Against Blogger Milagro Gramz

    [ad_1]

It’s been more than a year since Megan Thee Stallion filed a defamation lawsuit against Milagro Gramz (real name Cooper). The case has been inching towards a trial for several months, and this week, it kicked off with jury selection in Miami. Megan has accused the blogger of being part of a “coordinated campaign” to tarnish her reputation — allegedly with the financial backing of Tory Lanez. He has been named in the lawsuit and deposed at least three times. But on the last jailhouse chat, the incarcerated rapper reportedly refused to answer questions. In response, a judge reportedly held him in contempt and fined him a double stack!

What Happened During The Deposition Of Tory Lanez?

According to Rolling Stone, Judge Lisette M. Reid filed her decision on Sunday (November 16) following his third jailhouse deposition. The third questioning took place last Friday. Tory Lanez reportedly began by asking what the consequences would be for declining the questions. Learning of a possible fine and being held in contempt didn’t deter him.

“Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them,” Tory Lanez reportedly said. “I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”

Judge Reid wrote in her filing about Tory’s alleged behavior. She said Tory “stormed out of the room” at one point, and directed comments like “liar” and “calm down” at Megan’s lawyer. Additionally, he refused to answer questions about how he met or learned about Milagro Gramz. He also declined to say whether he was involved in any contact with the blogger via text or Instagram. The judge said Megan’s legal asked the questions “properly” but Lanez still “refused to answer and ultimately terminated the deposition without answering any questions.”

Daystar Peterson (the rapper’s legal name) now owes Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers $20,000. The fine is for “his obstruction of Plaintiff’s multiple attempts to depose him,” the judge said in her filing. Tory Lanez’s lawyer, Crystal Morgan, also took an L. Rolling Stone reports that the judge also fined her. He has not publicly commented on the ruling.

What’s The Latest On Megan Thee Stallion’s Case Against Milagro Gramz?

The new ruling was the talk of the internet as Milagro Gramz’s trial finally kicked off on Monday.

    MORE DETAILS TO COME.

Judge Recently Ruled Against Overturning Tory’s Conviction

This is week two of Tory Lanez’s facing legal setbacks involving Megan Thee Stallion. A California court last Wednesday denied the rapper’s appeal of his guilty verdict from the 2020 shooting of Meg.  A three-judge panel from the California 2nd District Court of Appeal issued a ruling saying they affirm the triple-charge conviction. Lanez was convicted of three felonies in December of 2022: assault with a semiautomatic firearm; having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

  • Megan Thee Stallion Wins New Sanction Against Milagro Gramz In Defamation Case, Claims Blogger Deleted Text Message Evidence

    [ad_1]

    Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty

Megan Thee Stallion is standing ten toes down in her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, and she just won a major sanction in their case.

The two will face off in a Houston court via trial, but in the meantime, Meg’s team won a sanction against Milagro after claiming she “deleted thousands of text messages” despite being told not to. Meg was granted an “adverse inference jury instruction” as well as “monetary” sanctions against Milagro—whose full name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper—for what the court is calling “spoliation of evidence.” According to the legal documents, Cooper was instructed not to delete any correspondence about Meg, but she did so anyway.

Meg’s team said “not so fast” once Milagro was unable to turn over the evidence and requested that the judge make it permissible in court to let the jury know that she attempted to hide things that could have harmed her defense. She is also now responsible for giving Meg back her coins for having to bring the issue up to the court though they have not agreed on what the compensation will be just yet, according to Hot 97. Either way, Milagro is digging herself quite the hole ahead of the trial.

She was already ordered to pay $5,000 towards Meg’s lawyer fees back in July for tampering with evidence, and she’s also accused of circulating a deep fake pornographic image of the “Cobra” artist, which is now considered a federal crime. The entire case stems from Milagro’s commitment to allegedly disseminating falsified information in support of Tory Lanez.

Meg claims that the blogger participated in fueling a smear campaign against her alongside the imprisoned singer’s father, Sonstar Peterson, that contributed to immeasurable harassment in the years after her shooting. Allegedly, the fake porn video was the final straw on the stallion’s back that led her to march Milagro into court.

  • Lawyer Up, Buttercup! Megan Thee Stallion’s Defamation Case Is Ready for a Houston Showdown

    [ad_1]

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion‘s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is making progress, with a new deposition scheduled to take place in a Houston court. This latest development in the defamation case is set to zero in on allegations of evidence tampering and uncooperative behavior.

    Source: Tommaso Boddi / Getty

For those who’ve been following the legal drama, Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is part of a broader legal push by the Houston femcee to hold bloggers and online personalities accountable for spreading misinformation. The lawsuit, filed after Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting Meg, alleges that Gramz was paid thousands of dollars to speak negatively about Megan during her coverage of the case. In a not-so-surprising twist, the person allegedly giving her those payments was none other than Tory Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson.

The upcoming deposition is set to be exactly two hours and was approved by a federal magistrate judge in the Southern District of Florida. According to AllHipHop, a deposition date is yet to be set. However, Megan’s legal representatives believe this is a necessary step to “question [Milagro’s] alleged tampering of evidence and communications with other important people in this case.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s Defamation Case Involves Alleged Tampering & Uncooperative Defendants

This new deposition will focus on issues and evidence brought up during the first one on July 21st. A particularly key issue is the alleged conversations Milagro Gramz had with Tory Lanez‘s father. According to HotNewHipHop, in August, Megan’s lawyers accused Gramz of “deleting ‘thousands of messages’” with Sonstar Peterson. “Despite good faith attempts at conferral, Defendant has presented no well-reasoned explanation for the mass deletion of thousands of messages from her cell phone,” Megan’s lawyers said. The legal team also noted that Gramz failed to comply with a May 27th deadline to present digital records, such as metadata and texts.

This isn’t the first time Megan’s legal team has had to deal with uncooperative individuals. As BOSSIP reported, they previously dealt with a similar situation in Tory Lanez’s own deposition, which was described as “incredibly rude and disruptive.” Lanez reportedly interrupted Megan’s lawyers and insulted one of them by begging for her to comb her hair, but the behavior ultimately backfired in Meg’s favor. He was eventually ordered to cover Megan’s legal fees, with a magistrate judge now set to supervise his future testimonies.

Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against Milagro Gramz is a part of a larger mission to hold bloggers and social media personalities accountable for their actions. As she said in a previous statement, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life. I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”

The upcoming deposition in Houston, followed by the trial in November, is the latest chapter in this ongoing legal fight for justice and accountability.
