    Michael Strahan’s teen daughter Sophia joins famous dad’s girlfriend Kayla Quick for family outing

    Michael Strahan had two of his best girls by his side for a fun family night at Duke University, to visit with his daughter Sophia Strahan.

    The Good Morning America anchor, 52, took to his Instagram Stories with a photo shared by his daughter, 19, that saw them pose in the bleachers near the Wallace Wade Stadium with a game underway.

    Michael and Sophia were joined by the former’s longtime girlfriend Kayla Quick, while Sophia repped for her school in a blue Duke hoodie, with all three dressed for a bit of North Carolina chill.

    Sophia is a sophomore at the university based in Durham, NC, while her twin sister Isabella is a student at the University of Southern California, after taking a break for a large part of the year to treat her cancer.

    Michael and Kayla have been dating since 2015, although they are extremely private when it comes to their relationship. They’ve very rarely made public appearances together, and will only occasionally appear on each other’s social media profiles.

    Kayla is the founder of a beauty and wellness brand called Fizzness, and also will model for the company at times. She also featured Isabella and Sophia in one of the brand’s campaigns previously, and is close with the twin sisters, being present to support Isabella through her radiation and chemotherapy journey.

    Michael has been married twice before, to Jean Muggli from 1999-2006 (welcoming his twin daughters with her), and to Wanda Hutchins from 1992-1996 (welcoming daughter Tanita and son Michael Jr. with her).

    And now, the NFL icon and TV star is a proud grandfather, after his oldest Tanita and her longtime boyfriend welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Onyx.

    He shared the news with his co-anchors on Fox’s NFL Sunday last month, confirming on the air to them: “Yes! I am a grandfather, everybody,” adding: “Onyx is his name — that means ‘black.’”

    Michael took a moment to reflect on the sweet milestone, saying: “It’s really special, because, you know, I know you guys have gone through this,” while motioning to the other grandfathers on the panel. “And now I’m just happy to be able to join you in that club.”

    He made an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon soon after and gushed about becoming a grandpa, telling the late night host: “It’s fantastic. I went over after I finished up work at FOX yesterday and I was holding him, and I’m like, ‘I’m going to get you so spoiled and give you back to your parents.’”

    While admitting he didn’t feel “old enough” to already be a grandfather, he did add: “It’s the most amazing feeling, I am so happy for my daughter Tanita and Calenta, her boyfriend,” calling his grandson a “great addition to the family.”

    However, he also put forth another conundrum: “Everyone is like, ‘What is he going to call you?’ I don’t know, I almost want to do a survey,” jokingly then nodding to the famous gap in his front teeth and suggesting the name “gap-pa.”

    Medical Marijuana May Help With Brain Cancer

    Brain cancer has been in the news – it is a devastating diagnosis, but there is hope cannabis could help.

    Michael Strahan has gone public with one of his daughters has brain cancer. Since then, she is having a slow recovery she is sharing to bring awareness brain cancer is an all age disease. Over 100,000 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumor annually. Brain and other CNS tumors are the fifth most common cancer. Over 30,000 children are currently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Over 1 million people are living with a diagnosis of a primary brain tumor and it can be a rough road. Early research suggest medical marijuana may help with brain cancer.

    It is proven cannabis has medical benefits, but more research needs to be done to better define how it can have an impact and help patients. Currently, the evidence that cannabis-based products can treat brain tumours or brain cancer is limited. Preliminary studies from the lab suggest that cannabinoid chemicals THC and CBD can stop glioblastoma (GBM) cells from growing, causing them to die and disrupting the blood supply to the tumour cells.

    There has been some data and research around glioma which looks promising. Glioma is a growth of cells that starts in the brain or spinal cord. The cells in a glioma look similar to healthy brain cells called glial cells. Glial cells surround nerve cells and help them function. As a glioma grows it forms a tumor.

    Preliminary studies from the lab suggest that cannabinoid chemicals THC and CBD can stop glioblastoma (GBM) cells from growing, causing them to die and disrupting the blood supply to the tumour cells.

    In 2021, an early-stage trial led by Professor Susan Short suggested that adding a specific blend of these chemicals – in the form of a drug called Sativex – to chemotherapy could potentially help treat recurrent GBMs more effectively.

    CXannabis-based drug Sativex approved as a prescription medicine. The drug, used in treating multiple sclerosis, was also found to be tolerable in combination with chemotherapy, with the potential to extend survival, in a phase I trial in glioblastomas.

    A phase II trial, led by the University of Leeds, is assessing whether adding Sativex – an oral spray containing cannabinoids THC and CBD – to chemotherapy, could extend life for thousands diagnosed with a recurrent glioblastoma. Currently, it has an average survival of less than 10 months.

    Scientific research indicates medical cannabis and cannabinoids could become key therapy in modern neuro-oncology; however, further studies are needed to establish outcomes and  dosage.

    Folks are rediscovering the pics now. Some are even hinting there was something going on between them years back — but let’s not forget they’re the alleged victims here. If the rumors of the months of cheating are true, they’re just halves of a double date that got betrayed — and are making the most of it. If they can find some solace together, isn’t that OK?

    US, UK Media Refuse To Cave To Palace’s Demands Over Prince Harry Interviews

    Anderson Cooper and Michael Strahan each made it clear that they hadn’t compromised with the demands of Buckingham Palace ― or its lawyers ― over recent interviews with Prince Harry.

    After Cooper’s interview with the Duke of Sussex aired on CBS’s “60 Minutes” Sunday evening, the journalist spoke about his communications with King Charles’ team.

    “We reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment,” Cooper said in a now-viral clip, now viewed over 1.3 million times on Twitter.

    “Its representatives demanded that before considering responding, ‘60 Minutes’ provide them with our report prior to airing it tonight, which is something we never do,” Cooper said.

    Strahan issued a similar statement after his sit-down with Harry aired on “Good Morning America” Monday. He revealed that palace lawyers contacted ABC while the interview aired that morning.

    “We received a response from the law firm representing Buckingham Palace this morning, while we were on the air, saying that the palace needed to ‘consider exactly what is said in the interview, in the context in which it appears’ and asked that we supply them immediately with a copy of the entire interview, which we do not do as a news organization, as a matter of our policy,” Strahan said.

    HuffPost reached out to ITV’s Tom Bradby, whose interview with Harry aired Sunday, to see if the palace also placed demands on the interviewer in order to comment.

    A source close to the network told HuffPost on Monday that the palace was not shown the program before it aired. The source added that the palace was “given details of its content and offered the opportunity to respond, but declined to do so on the basis of not having seen the film.”

    Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.

    Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, which represents Prince William and his family, previously asked to see clips before commenting on claims made in Netflix’s recent “Harry & Meghan” docuseries.

    A royal source told HuffPost that Netflix made no attempt to contact members of the royal household, but a CNN journalist later revealed that a third-party production company had reached out for comment.

    The production company, Story Syndicate, later told Buzzfeed News that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ communication secretary had requested to see footage from the series.

    NEW YORK—Saying the hosts’ personal lives had become a distraction that threatened the program’s journalistic integrity, ABC News president Kimberly Godwin announced Friday that all Good Morning America anchors had been castrated. “At GMA, genitals aren’t what’s important—what’s important is reporting the news,” said Godwin, who confirmed that all on-air talent—including T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach, George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, and Michael Strahan—had undergone either surgical castration to remove their testicles or chemical castration to reduce their libido, depending on their sex. “I want to be clear that this is not about punishing anyone. It’s about professionalism. To preserve our reputation as a news outlet, we must be 100% certain no GMA anchor ever again has sex outside their marriage.” At press time, Godwin had reportedly responded to the casual flirtation of two correspondents by separating them and moving their desks to opposite sides of the newsroom.
