One of the greatest gifts that the universe bestowed upon mgk was his ability to impact and comfort many people through his honest storytelling, and his recent single ‘times of my life’ is the ultimate proof. After yearsssss of fans asking for this melancholic song from the Tickets To My Downfall studio sessions – which leaked after he took it off the tracklist – he revisited it with Travis Barker and some of his closest musical friends, who helped him create the triumphant lost americana last year. It feels like an amalgamation of so many of his different eras, between the seeming inclusion on the future deluxe edition of lost americana, its origins during the Tickets To My Downfall sessions, and the Hotel Diablo umbrella he holds in the music video.
In the days since ‘times of my life’ came out, I’ve seen fellow EST adopt this song into their lives in so many beautiful ways, from celebrating the fun memories they’ve made at concerts (partly fueled by the song appearing on the pre-show playlist at the lost americana Tour) to cherishing the time they got to spend with loved ones who have passed. And I know I speak for most mgk fans when I say that this release proves just how moving his music can be.
“I hope you are fine knowing you hold all my best times And without you, I’m lying to myself saying that you’ll come find me…”
Like so much of EST, mgk’s music found me when I needed it the most. He had pretty good timing because I heard ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ on the radio for the first time on a day that wound up flipping my life upside down. Hotel Diablo became a lifeline in the fallout from that day as I tried to figure out where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be. I didn’t necessarily relate to the specific stories or topics, but I admired how open Kells was about things that are very difficult to be open about. It’s like he knew that his own catharsis would be cathartic for others and pushed through to deliver that for the people who needed to hear an honest success story from a fellow underdog with the odds stacked against him.
Hotel Diablo doesn’t close with a happy ending, but ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ is the perfect conclusion. It sees Colson admitting, “I think something’s f**king wrong with me.” He knows that the power isn’t in pretending you’re fine, but knowing that just being “okay” is enough sometimes. Still standing after going through difficult, life-altering things like he describes throughout the album is a victory in itself. He owns up to his vices, destructive tendencies, and dissatisfaction with his life at the time in a way that’s refreshingly raw and real.
He spoke to Genius about the “it’s just my life and I can take it if I wanna” lyric, explaining that the darker meaning you might hear at first listen isn’t the full story, much like how there’s a whole life on the other side of whatever you’re facing at the moment.
I think a lot of people think it immediately means suicide, and I think it’s really just, like, ‘I can take back my life.’ Take your destiny into your own hands. You know, manifest what you want and make your life yours.
mgk to Genius
The Tickets To My Downfall era epitomized that idea, bringing mgk into the pop-punk spotlight after years of being a massive fan and integrating rock’s most distinctive elements into songs like ‘Save Me’ (featuring Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows and Synyster Gates) and the Kellin Quinn-assisted ‘Swing Life Away.’ A few hours before he recorded ‘Save Me,’ as shown in the song’s music video, he told Slim, “I just don’t see stuff going very well.” Slim pushed, “So you wanna give up and quit? Sh*t on me, sh*t on everybody?” This is the album cycle where things started going very, very well for mgk and his rightful recognition as a music icon, holding his musical family and EST close to his heart in the midst of a massive rise.
With help from one of Colson’s musical heroes, Travis Barker, Tickets To My Downfall taught us how to dance through destruction and embrace the fun in life that coexists with what’s bringing us down. It was exactly what the world needed in the midst of the COVID pandemic, delivering nostalgia and pure joy to EST and pop-punk fans on a wider scale. In the process, it became mgk’s first #1 album on the Billboard 200 and has since gotten a 2x Platinum certification.
It felt like he had finally hit his stride and I was starting to find mine, too. I started blogging just a few months after Tickets To My Downfall came out and joined The Honey POP a little while later. He was embracing his lifelong love of pop-punk and I was embracing my lifelong love of immersive music and the artists behind it. He doubled down on it with mainstream sellout, a heavier sister album of sorts that also hit #1, and I kept exploring new content formats and topics, even writing an analytical review of the recordfor THP.
Where Tickets To My Downfall felt like a rebellious rave of sorts, mainstream sellout addressed similar topics and themes with a less playful attitude and a less shimmery sonic mood. mgk told Sunday TODAY, “I went and studied Tickets and I heard the bright sound that I had, and for this album, I just turned the lights off.” You can hear the shift from the very first track – ‘title track’ reveled in his infamy while “selling tickets to [his] downfall,” but ‘born with horns’ acknowledges “there’s no happy endings” and sees Kells taking a more honest, direct approach while describing his mental health struggles and qualms about the spotlight.
His openness about the ups and downs of being a polarizing figure in the music industry sparked a lot of thought about how artists are treated online, and even earned mgk his first-ever GRAMMY nomination in the Best Rock Album category. The man who wondered whether his hard work would ever truly pay off before recording ‘Save Me’ had officially broken through and created a thought-provoking project that demanded respect and recognition from his peers and the powers that be.
My own journey through the music industry eventually brought me to one of the coolest, most meaningful opportunities I’ve received to date: becoming a mod for mgk’s official Discord server! I wore my Tickets To My Downfall hoodie on launch day and watched as thousands of passionate fans joined in, excitedly connecting with each other and eventually Kells himself. The server felt, and still feels, like a place where EST can tune out the noise of traditional social media and the world around us to unite over what we love. It’s a reminder of how magical things can be when we come together for good, perfectly tying into the fandom name of Everyone Stands Together.
In July 2024, we came together to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Hotel Diablo with an interactive trivia puzzle throughout the server. And in one of the two most full-circle mgk moments in my life, I got to host a live Q&A with him for the puzzle winners and EST. Over 400 people who completed the puzzle got to listen in, while the fastest few to finish it were able to ask him their own questions. I talked to him about Hotel Diablo, we joked about the 32483498 nicknames he has, and he even took the time to thank me personally at the end of the event. It was such an honor to make my personal dream of interviewing him come true while sharing the moment with fans who love him just as much.
Hearing his excitement about crossing over into country with Jelly Roll on ‘Lonely Road’ (which hadn’t been officially announced yet) and seeing how much EST loved connecting with him on a deeper level had me reconsidering the possibilities of my own career in the music industry. And somehow, things made more sense to me than ever in an industry that’s constantly changing and shifting. It reminded me that there are truly no limits unless you put them on yourself or let the people trying to put them on you have the last word, something mgk has never let them do. Like our favorite rap-rock chameleon, you can try new things and take new paths and have fun with them even if they’re not what you initially imagined for yourself. In my case, it’s been expanding beyond blogging into music marketing and fandom engagement, wanting to “champion artists” like he said I do on the call and help them grow their bonds with fans, so more people can experience how powerful a kind, devoted fanbase like EST can be.
The second full-circle moment I’ve had with mgk came about a year and a half after the Q&A. After that formative day I mentioned earlier, when I heard ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ for the first time, anxiety became a really obstructive force in my life that separated me from some of the things I loved most. Colson’s music was right by my side through so much and the ultimate test of that was braving various fears to go see him live at the lost americana Tour. Anxiety is still something I regularly deal with, and I expect it will continue to be that way, but screaming all the lyrics to ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ with 12,000 other people made one of the most fragile parts of me feel like things could be okay again.
I don’t know who I’d be right now if mgk hadn’t stumbled into my life and music library. As I sit here recounting my favorite EST memories, wearing the same Tickets To My Downfall hoodie I wore the day the Discord server launched, it feels so surreal that just happening to hear a certain song on the radio six years ago has had such an impact on my life. But that’s part of the magic of mgk. You never know where his music will lead you, whether it’s through genres, through immersive lyrical stories, or through chapters and experiences that shape you.
To Colson and EST, some of the best times of my life were the ones when I was with you. Here’s to many more for all of us <3

When mgk delivers, he delivers. The man promised us a legendary tour for his latest album, lost americana, complete with a fifth anniversary celebration for 2020’s Tickets To My Downfall, and we can safely say that this tour will shape up to be one of his best yet. He plays over 30 songs from across his discography (hearing ‘Wild Boy’ live in 2025 was not on our bingo cards), scales a punked-out version of the Statue Of Liberty, and plays a guitar that sends out sparks! We’re mourning the loss of the classic ‘Floor 13’ pit tradition, but she served us well over the years and we’re stoked to see more songs getting concert recognition.
‘don’t wait, run fast’ to get your lost americana Tour tickets, then check out the setlist below to make sure you know every lyric to sing along! This setlist is accurate as of the first show in Glendale, Arizona on November 18th, 2025. We may update this article as the tour evolves and the Tickets To My Downfall sections might be altered after the album’s fifth anniversary year passes.
Absolutely unreal, isn’t it? mgk is just the gift that keeps on giving.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan re-teaming as the body-swapping mother and daughter duo in “Freakier Friday” and albums from 5 Seconds of Summer and the rapper NF are some of the new television, films, music and games headed to a device near you.
Also among the streaming offerings worth your time this week, as selected by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists: Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys team up for the new limited-series thriller “The Beast in Me,” gamers get Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Apple TV’s star-studded “Palm Royale” is back.
New movies to stream from Nov. 10-16
— Richard Linklater’s love letter to the French New Wave and the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s “Breathless,” “Nouvelle Vague,” will be streaming on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 14. In his review, Associated Press Film Writer Jake Coyle writes that, “To a remarkable degree, Linklater’s film, in French and boxed into the Academy ratio, black-and-white style of ‘Breathless,’ has fully imbibed that spirit, resurrecting one of the most hallowed eras of movies to capture an iconoclast in the making. The result is something endlessly stylish and almost absurdly uncanny.”
— Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan re-team as the body-swapping mother and daughter duo in “Freakier Friday,” a sequel to their 2003 movie, streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday. In her review, Jocelyn Noveck writes, “The chief weakness of ‘Freakier Friday’ — an amiable, often joyful and certainly chaotic reunion — is that while it hews overly closely to the structure, storyline and even dialogue of the original, it tries too hard to up the ante. The comedy is thus a bit more manic, and the plot machinations more overwrought (or sometimes distractingly silly).”
— Ari Aster’s latest nightmare “Eddington” is set in a small, fictional New Mexico town during the coronavirus pandemic, which becomes a kind of microcosm for our polarized society at large with Joaquin Phoenix as the sheriff and Pedro Pascal as its mayor. In my review, I wrote that, “it is an anti-escapist symphony of masking debates, conspiracy theories, YouTube prophets, TikTok trends and third-rail topics in which no side is spared.”
— An incurable cancer diagnoses might not be the most obvious starting place for a funny and affirming film, but that is the magic of Ryan White’s documentary “Come See Me in the Good Light,” about two poets, Andrea Gibson, who died in July, and Megan Falley, facing a difficult reality together. It will be on Apple TV on Friday, Nov. 14.
— There’s nothing worse than a band without a sense of humor. Thankfully 5 Seconds of Summer are in on the joke. Their sixth studio album, “Everyone’s a Star!,” sounds like the Australian pop-rock band are having fun again, from The Prodigy-esq. “Not OK” to the self-referential and effacing “Boy Band.” Candor is their provocation now, and it sounds good — particularly after the band has spent the last few years exploring solo projects.
— The R&B and neo soul powerhouse Summer Walker has returned with her third studio album and first in four years. “Finally Over It,” out Friday, Nov. 14, is the final chapter of her “Over It” trilogy; a release centered on transformation and autonomy. That’s evident from the dreamy throwback single, “Heart of A Woman,” in which the song’s protagonist is disappointed with her partner — but with striking self-awareness. “In love with you but can’t stand your ways,” she sings. “And I try to be strong/But how much can I take?”
— Consider him one of the biggest artists on the planet that you may not be familiar with. NF, the musical moniker of Nate Feuerstein, emerged from the Christian rap world a modern answer to Eminem only to top the mainstream, all-genre Billboard 200 chart twice, with 2017’s “Perception” and 2019’s “The Search.” On Friday, Nov. 14, he’ll release “Fear,” a new six-track EP featuring mgk (formerly Machine Gun Kelly) and the English singer James Arthur.
— Apple TV’s star-studded “Palm Royale” is back just in time for a new social season. Starring Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Ricky Martin AND Carol Burnett, the show is campy, colorful and fun, plus it has great costumes. Wiig plays Maxine, a woman desperate to be accepted into high society in Palm Beach, Florida, in the late 1960s. The first episode streams Wednesday and one will follow weekly into January.
— “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” cast member Heather Gay has written a book called “Bad Mormon” about how she went from a devout Mormon to leaving the church. Next, she’s fronting a new docuseries that delves into that too called “Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay.” The reality TV star also speaks to others who have left the religion. All three episodes drop Wednesday on Peacock.
— Thanks to “Homeland” and “The Americans,” Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys helped put the prestige in the term prestige TV. They grace the screen together in a new limited-series for Netflix called “The Beast in Me.” Danes plays a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer who finds a new subject in her next door neighbor, a real estate tycoon who also may or may not have killed his first wife. Howard Gordon, who worked with Danes on “Homeland,” is also the showrunner and an executive producer of “The Beast in Me.” It premieres Thursday.
— David Duchovny and Jack Whitehall star in a new thriller on Prime Video called “Malice.” Duchovny plays Jamie, a wealthy man vacationing with his family in Greece. He hires a tutor (played by Whitehall) named Adam to work with the kids who seems likable, personable and they invite him into their world. Soon it becomes apparent that Adam’s charm is actually creepy. Something is up. As these stories go, getting rid of an interloper is never easy. All six episodes drop Friday, Nov. 14.
— “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” returns to Fox Nation on Sunday, Nov. 16 for a second season. The premiere details the story of Saint Patrick. The show is a passion project for Scorsese who executive produces, hosts, and narrates the episodes.
— Billy Bob Thornton has struck oil in the second season of “Landman” on Paramount+. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the show is set in modern day Texas in the world of Big Oil. Sam Elliott and Andy Garcia have joined the cast and Demi Moore also returns. The show returns Sunday, Nov. 16.
— The Call of Duty team behind the Black Ops subseries delivered a chapter last year — but they’re already back with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The new installment of the bestselling first-person shooter franchise moves to 2035 and a world “on the brink of chaos.” (What else is new?) Publisher Activision is promising a “reality-shattering” experience that dives into “into the deepest corners of the human psyche.” Beyond that storyline there are also 16 multiplayer maps and the ever-popular zombie mode, in which you and your friends get to blast away at relentless hordes of the undead. Lock and load Friday, Nov. 14, on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S or PC.
— Lumines Arise is the latest head trip from Enhance Games, the studio behind puzzlers like Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite and Humanity. The basic challenge is simple enough: Multicolored 2×2 blocks drift down the screen, and you need to arrange them to form single-color squares. Completed squares vanish unless you apply the “burst” mechanic, which lets you build ever-larger squares and rack up bigger scores. It’s all accompanied by hallucinatory graphics and thumping electronic music, and you can plug in a virtual reality headset if you really want to feel like you’re at a rave. Pick up the groove Tuesday on PlayStation 5 or PC.
On September 25th, 2020, mgk changed the course of pop-punk history and brought an overlooked genre back to the mainstream spotlight with the release of Tickets To My Downfall. He recruited pop-punk titan Travis Barker as executive producer, brought on some of our fave alternative artists for unforgettable features, took over MTV and the internet, and was so confident in all of it that he tattooed the album title along the base of his neck. That confidence and his full-send passion for the album earned him his very first #1 on the Billboard 200, as well as giving us one of the most iconic eras of his career.
Let’s celebrate Tickets To My Downfall and its impact on mgk and our lives by spotlighting some underrated tracks from the album! We’ll limit it to five, but just know that we’d spend all day gushing about every single track if we could.
‘lonely’
Maybe a predictable choice, but ‘lonely’ deserves all the recognition and will always be one of the first songs we recommend to new fans who want to really understand mgk’s music. It’s a touching reflection on his relationship with his dad who passed just a few months before the album came out, and also pays tribute to his late aunt. Kells poured so much emotion into his vocals and the lyrics, to the point where you’ll feel like you’re sitting next to him and sharing family stories while you look through old photo albums. ‘lonely’ is an absolute masterpiece that captures how much soul he puts into his music.
“The last time I saw you I cried, I wished you had more time left The last time I heard you They held the phone, you took your last breath…”
‘jawbreaker’
Justice for ‘jawbreaker!’ This song is an absolute pop-punk gem, complete with catchy melodies, guitar riffs you can practically sing along to, and even a few questionable lyrics. Seriously, we’re still wondering what “she’s not landing, LAX is in Miami” means five years later. Is an L.A. ex of his in Miami, and he’s just making a pun with LAX being a Los Angeles airport? Whatever, ‘jawbreaker’ is still one of our fave mgk anthems, and we’re forever jealous of the people who heard him mash it up with ‘why are you here?’ and ‘sid & nancy’ on the mainstream sellout Tour.
“Would it kill you to smile? Let me occupy your mind We’re at a million miles an hour…”
‘nothing inside’
It scratches a very specific itch in our brains when we hear mgk and iann dior’s voices together, and ‘nothing inside’ remains one of the most elite collabs that either of them have released. From the moment those intro drums kick in, it hits you just how intensely each of them are feeling because of the relationship issues the song describes. The choruses repeat the same lines over and over, like they’re trapped in certain thoughts and keep spiraling back to them. The idea of a girl seeing ‘nothing inside’ could mean either she doesn’t see his true feelings or reciprocation in his eyes, or she feels nothing for him or the future they could’ve had together anymore. Add in some trap-influenced beats and you have an amazing song that brings together Kells’ rock and hip-hop influences. And that Operation-themed scene paired with this song in Downfalls High? Poetic cinema.
“I’m running low on serotonin in these empty moments I’m having trouble operating without my main component…”
‘play this when i’m gone’
On his last few albums, mgk has made it a tradition to save what might just be the most heart-wrenching song the last track, and that pattern really kicked off with ‘play this when i’m gone.’ The final track on the standard Tickets To My Downfall album is a letter to his oldest daughter, Casie, to comfort her after he passes. Yup, cue the waterworks. Even with the dark themes, there’s something so calming about this song that reminds us that it’s okay to let ourselves feel whatever we’re feeling. We’ll never forget the bittersweet magic of hearing this for the first time!
“I’m not gonna lie and tell you it’s alright You’re gonna cry and, baby, that’s alright…”
‘body bag’
“You’re supposed to love me better, baby, so put me in a body bag” walked so “life’s just death if I can’t have you” could run on ‘orpheus.’ Dramatic, sure, but a lot of the best pop-punk is! The SOLD OUT deluxe track ‘body bag’ brings mgk together with Bert McCracken and YUNGBLUD for an unapologetically edgy, vampy tale of twisted love that you won’t regret sinking your fangs into. It flips the drum line from Fall Out Boy’s ‘Dance, Dance’ for some extra classic pop-punk flair and intensity that cranks things up to an 11!
“I’ve got my issues, but I have the right to think you’re wrong You’re just a witch and I drank your poison, baby…”
BONUS: ‘why are you here?’
We all make mistakes, but we don’t know if we’ll ever truly forgive Kells for not putting ‘why are you here?’ on the tracklist of Tickets To My Downfall. Sure, it made it onto mainstream sellout’s life in pink deluxe eventually, but still! It tells the story of a less-than-perfect connection in which mgk and a woman are both seeing other people, only to run into each other at a party and realize how strong the pull between them really is. The guitar riffs and Goody Grace’s backing vocals (which also appear on ‘bloody valentine,’ tying the two together) are peak pop-punk, and this track would’ve been the perfect bridge between the Hotel Diablo and Tickets To My Downfall eras in our humble opinion.
“I know that I said I was at home Okay, yeah, you caught me I thought that you said you were all alone Look at you lying…”

As you get ready for your Halloween festivities, who better to soundtrack your October than ‘el Diablo’ himself? mgk has been making the perfect music for Halloween for over a decade, and we’ve rounded up just a handful of songs that you definitely need on your playlist to get you into the spooky mood. There’s no “house too haunted” to play these on repeat, so grab your earbuds, munch on some candy corn, and get ready to jam out with us!
‘Sex Drive’
The perfect opener for your EST Halloween playlist is ‘Sex Drive,’ of course! The opening track of Hotel Diablo sees Colson singing “come and find yourself” until a bunch of creepy demon voices interrupt him, representing how forces like depression can scare you away from discovering your purpose. And if you’re hosting a haunted house on Halloween night, this song would work great as a soundtrack for your trick-or-treaters, inviting them closer for a little fright.
‘Candy’
Is half of this article going to be about Hotel Diablo? Maybe, but we won’t apologize for it. Candy is a Halloween staple, and it’s time to make ‘Candy’ a Halloween playlist staple as well! Even though it’s not necessarily about a sweet treat you get from your neighbor’s door, ‘Candy’ is ridiculously easy to jam out to and anyone you spend Halloween with will be singing along by the end of the song. Bonus points if you get some friends together to dress as Kells, Trippie Redd, and Pete Davidson in the music video!
‘DAYWALKER!’
In supernatural stories, a daywalker is a type of vampire who can actually walk in the sunlight without getting hurt – think Simon from Shadowhunters or Blade from Marvel. But in the mgk universe, it’s an iconic collab with CORPSE that compares healing from mental health struggles to feeling like a monster in the everyday world. mgk started working on the song shortly after he started his therapy journey and wanted to keep his positive progress going, which he clearly has! This track will help you let out any negative energy or aggression while sounding pretty sinister, making it a great choice to help you enjoy Halloween night to the fullest.
‘In These Walls’
Speaking of creepy vibes, ‘In These Walls’ is a no-brainer to include on this list! We first heard this song during mgk’s memorable Lockdown Sessions series and it samples the chorus of PVRIS’ ‘My House’ to describe feeling haunted by someone from the past. Lynn Gunn’s vocals sound so beautifully eerie while Kells’ rap adds a stunning edge to the mix. We’re forever grateful for the day this song arrived on our favorite streaming platforms!
‘D3MONS’
Let’s head back to 2012 for a second to spotlight ‘D3MONS,’ a collab with the late DMX that definitely suits a creepy Halloween vibe. The backing vocals and adlibs alone could soundtrack a horror movie! Kells and DMX take turns rapping about their experiences with the demons in their mind, making for a raw song that shows off both artists’ knack for storytelling. They even reference The Shining in one verse, so you could dance around the house to this song before switching gears to watch some spooky movies.
‘Waste Love’
Come on, we warned you a lot of this article would be about Hotel Diablo! The final song on our list is ‘Waste Love,’ which Kells even said himself during a Discord Q&A is a song that deserves better. This collab with Madison Love is a tale of love damaged and maybe lost, but there’s a back-and-forth that keeps both sides of the relationship hooked. “Wanted me to chase you inside, but the house too haunted,”Colson reflects on how his past experiences have impacted his more current relationships. If you’re feeling heartbroken this Spooky Season, ‘Waste Love’ is right there to help you feel less alone in it.
Which of these songs are you adding to your Halloween playlist? Are there any other mgk tracks you’d suggest? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

FirstEnergy Stadium
First, we have to celebrate the reason we got an MGK Day in the first place! Mayor Justin Bibb officially announced that August 13th would be MGK Day each year after mgk sold out FirstEnergy Stadium in 2022, which made him the only Ohio artist to ever do so.
The ‘PRESSURE’ Music Video Locations
mgk’s latest music video to take place in Cleveland is ‘PRESSURE,’ which dropped in May 2023! Here are some filming locations you might run into on your trip:
Samsel Supply Store (0:29)
Ohio City Gas (0:50)
West 65th Street (2:05)
The Agora Theater & Ballroom
If you love the ‘Let You Go’ music video as much as we do, then the Agora needs no introduction! It’s where mgk and his crew filmed the iconic Bloom video, which has a 1960s late night show theme. Retro clothes aren’t required, but it might be fun to get dressed up for your visit!
The ‘Till I Die’ Music Video Locations
Throughout his career, mgk has regularly shown love to Cleveland and ‘Till I Die’ is the perfect example. Not only does the song talk about his hometown, but the music video pays visual homage to Cleveland by taking you on a trip around the city! Here are a few of the locations you can check out yourself:

There are very few, if any, fandoms that are as passionately supportive of their favorite artist as EST are of mgk. And that passion is part of why we got his latest album release, Hotel Diablo: Floor 13 Edition, to begin with! He first dropped Hotel Diablo in 2019 and it has since become a beacon for not only what he has to offer, but the impact his music has on the people who listen. It’s full of unapologetic, sometimes devastating, honesty and courage that has inspired so many of us to push through any hard times we face.
Knowing how special Hotel Diablo is, Kells wanted to celebrate its fifth anniversary by giving us a new deluxe edition complete with remixes, demos, and even a new song, ‘El Pistolero!’ But first, he invited us to “come and find [ourselves]” with an innovative Discord event that brought the world of the album to life and encouraged EST to come together. We could stay up until 5:3666 talking about how fun it was, but for now, let’s stick to a simple recap.
“Meet me on Floor 13…”
The festivities kicked off when mgk’s Discord, which is usually themed with different channels named after his various albums, transformed into a hotel thanks to the engaging mod team. Specifically Hotel Diablo, of course! Once you checked in with the Keymaster bot, you stepped into the elevator… AKA a channel called Elevator that presented you with the first riddle you had to solve.
Your goal throughout the challenge for a chance to receive a prize that’s sweeter than ‘Candy’: complete 12 (or more? Hey, it’s a big hotel.) riddles to reach the ‘Floor 13’ channel. Each correct answer brought you to the next “floor” channel, or even a side channel away from the main path. Questions ranged from references to songs like ‘Waste Love,’ to nods to the featured artists on Hotel Diablo, and even superfan fun facts like the notebook mgk used to write the album. All the answers were available on the internet, but we were definitely breaking a sweat trying to figure them all out!
“Welcome to Hotel Diablo, in this building I’m the honcho…”
If and when you reached Floor 13, you officially made it to the highest ranks of the competition! The first few people to finish got merch and custom color roles within the Discord to make their chatting experience more fun. But anyone who completed the hotel challenge also got one pretty cool perk: access to an exclusive Q&A session with mgk himself! And you may have even seen or heard a few members of our hive there… 👀
Before the Q&A, everyone on Floor 13 had the chance to submit their very own question to ask Kells. A handful were selected and things were all set for ‘El Pistolero’ himself to pop in, with the people whose questions were chosen getting to ask him personally! We learned so much about the creation of Hotel Diablo, his favorite memories from the era, and so much more. We also got to hear one of his cats meowing repeatedly in the background, which was hands-down one of the best moments of our lives.
“Written in history…”
We’re so glad that mgk made the release of Hotel Diablo: Floor 13 Edition so engaging! It was a beautiful testament to how impactful the album has been and how much Kells has grown over the years. The song, which may signal a pivot into country for MGK, is clearly inspired by John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” the iconic country standard released as a single in 1971 off his fourth studio album “Poems, Prayers & Promises,” with the pair referencing the melody and lyrics from the song.
To give fans a taste of what to expect, the sometimes-rapper, sometimes-rocker released a teaser of the music video on social media, captioning the clip, “Countdown to KellyRoll activated. 🚧 thanks to John Denver for paving the way.” In the brief video, we see MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly) bent over, getting arrested on the hood of a cop car, before he and Jelly Roll attend a funeral together. Eagle-eyed fans may notice that Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie XO makes a cameo in the clip, and she popped in the comments on the IG post, writing, “Let’s goooo.”
It’s been two years since MGK released his sixth album “Mainstream Sellout,” his second consecutive album to top the Billboard 200 following 2020’s “Tickets to My Downfall.” Most recently, he teamed up with Trippie Redd for the collaborative “Genre: Sadboy” EP that released this past March.
In a deeply personal collection of poetry titled “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” published on Nov. 7, Megan Fox revealed she experienced a pregnancy loss that profoundly impacted her relationship with Colson Baker, aka Machine Gun Kelly. “I had never been through anything like that in my life,” Fox said in a recent interview with Good Morning America about her book of poems. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately . . . trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
“I had never been through anything like that in my life.”
In one poem about an ultrasound, the mom of three boys, reflects on being 10 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, writing, “maybe if you hadn’t . . . maybe if i had . . .” The brief verse appears to be an expression of grief over her pregnancy loss with Fox contemplating what could have been.
Later in the book, Fox writes, “I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh.” In a separate verse, she adds, “but now / I have to say / goodbye.” Using lines that blend anecdotes with analogies, Fox poignantly expresses her sorrow. “I will pay any price,” Fox writes of her pregnancy loss and the possibility of carrying her baby to term. “Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?”
The verses in Fox’s poems are heartbreaking and vulnerable, showing a side of the actor and writer we have not seen before. Months before Fox’s book of poems was published, however, fans believe Kelly may have alluded to Fox’s pregnancy loss in his song, “Last November.” The song, which was released on June 24, includes the lyrics “You didn’t wake up today / I didn’t get to see your face / Was it my fault? Was it karma?” In the second verse, Kelly adds, “One day and another ten weeks / I never even got to hear your heart beat.”
In the song’s chorus, Kelly, who is a father to 13-year-old Casie Colson Baker from a previous relationship, adds, “So sad we ended up here / So sad, but everything’s clear / Could I save your life if I pressed rewind? / I wish I could go back to November last year.” In a zine about his album “Mainstream Sellout,” Kelly added that his song “Twin Flame” was originally titled “One Day and 10 Weeks,” a reference to the duration of Fox’s pregnancy. At the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, he also dedicated a performance of “Twin Flame,” to “our unborn child” after telling the audience he “wrote this song for my wife.”
Fox’s staggering poems have struck a powerful cord with many fans who have had similar experiences. “I can feel her pain and strength, vividly. A beautiful release while finding her voice,” one reader wrote on Amazon. Another reader added, “The poems are hypnotizing. It hits deep in your soul.”
Ahead, see Fox reflect on “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous” and her pregnancy loss.
Megan Fox Reflects on Her Pregnancy Loss With Machine Gun Kelly
“It’s not an exposé that I wrote or a memoir … But throughout my life, I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.”
The big question when Lil Durk took the Amazon Music Live stage on Thursday was who might join him during the show. Would “All My Life” feature an appearance by J. Cole? Would 21 Savage walk out for “War Bout It?” While neither of those happened, a few big name guests elevated the evening.
After an intro from 2 Chainz, Durk started the set with the throwback “Dis Ain’t What U Want,” and transitioned into the more recent hit “AHHH HA.” Moving between eras, he performed tracks like “L’s Anthem,” “When We Shoot,” “Back in Blood,” and of course, his portion of “Laugh Now Cry Later.”
A welcome surprise was Trippie Redd, who received enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. He occupied the stage himself for “Taking A Walk” and the Diplo produced “Wish.” And of course, his outfit and hair were amazing.
Jerritt Clark/Amazon Music
Perhaps the highlight of the show was an appearance from Machine Gun Kelly. The pop punk revival king didn’t sing or address the crowd. He just played guitar on “The Voice” (watch below). Known for his brash persona, MGK seemed grateful to be onstage. His priority was nailing his guitar solo, not mugging for the cameras.
The show ended with “All My Life.” Without J. Cole, it became a sing-along with phone flashlights in the air. It was a nice moment, reflecting the positive vibes that dominated the concert.

Overall, the show was packed with both recent hits and fan favorites that reached back a decade into Lil Durk’s catalog. With few of his star collaborators available, he turned the performance into a journey through his diverse career.
The “Who Will Show Up?” game continues this week with superstar producer Metro Boomin. “Special guests” are slated to join him Thursday night after the Chiefs-Broncos matchup on Amazon Prime. We’ll see who walks out.
As millions of New York City residents cope with an ongoing heat wave, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly appear to be living in an alternate reality where the air is crisp and wearing anything less than a light winter coat is unsuitable. On Sept. 7, the couple stepped out in a set of fuzzy headgear fit for a winter ski trip, a vacation in Antarctica, or virtually anywhere other than the sweat-inducing boroughs of New York in late summer.
For her half of the perplexing ensemble, Fox stepped out in a black cardigan, flared leggings, and a pair of lugged sneakers. She accessorized with a leather crossbody bag with silver-chain detailing, coordinated necklaces, and white sunglasses. On top of her head, the actor gave a sartorial FU to the weather with a fuzzy black bucket hat. In addition to the fact that black fabric absorbs more heat from both the sun and your skin, Fox’s hat, admittedly, has me a little concerned for her well-being. Does her bag contain a portable fan? A bottle of extra-cold iced tea? A thermostat set to 72 F to prove that her personal bubble is colder than all of Manhattan?
At least Kelly, on the other hand, took a slightly cooler approach to his ensemble with a lighter color palette. Complementing Fox’s look, Kelly walked alongside his fiancée in a pair of sage-green cargo pants, a “Bad Hair Day” graphic T-shirt, and a pair of sneakers. Equally impenetrable to the heat, Kelly completed his outfit with a furry black balaclava, sunglasses, and silver jewelry. How he managed not to overheat within seconds of stepping out is nothing short of a mystery. His saving grace appears to be a pink cold cup, which I can only assume is filled with a never-ending supply of ice water that he and Fox can share to stave off the heat.
For some, their eyes might go directly to the bear-like set of ears atop Kelly’s head or the fiery red of Fox’s freshly dyed bob. When I look at these photos of Fox and Kelly, however, I’m haunted only by the knowledge of the boiling sweat that must be trapped under the thick layers of their headgear. While the couple’s coordinated sunglasses hint they’re aware of the weather, everything else about their outfits has me convinced that they’ve transcended past summer into a season all their own.
From behind, even Fox and Kelly’s security guard can be seen walking forward with a look of skepticism on his face. Whether it’s because of the blistering heat or the couple’s unique wardrobe choices is unclear. Would I have swapped the headpieces for sun hats or visors? Absolutely. The fact that they chose to suffer together for the sake of style, though, is a little sweet.
Whether Fox and Kelly were nonplussed by the weather or truly unaware of the scorching temperatures remains to be seen. Either way, we hope the couple were able to slip back into an air-conditioned building or vehicle shortly after their stroll. PG&E knows I’ll be parking myself directly in front of an open freezer to shake off the secondhand sweat.
When leaving her Tribeca hotel on Wednesday with her on-again boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox made a significant fashion statement by wearing ‘F—k Off’ hair clips.
The daring crystal-embellished hair clips were revealed by Fox, who just dyed her hair scarlet. The actress exposed her abs in a grey suit dress that had a cropped jacket and a miniskirt joined by a silver O-ring.
MGK chose to dress creatively, donning white New Balance trainers, oversized, deconstructed trousers with floral decorations and a lime green jumper with cutouts over a white T-shirt. The rapper of the “Emo Girl” rock band was carrying a hot pink Louis Vuitton duffel bag. Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly, completed his look with a pearl necklace and a pair of black rectangular spectacles.

Following their well-publicised relationship issues, the street style sensations have been sighted in Manhattan. After publishing enigmatic social media statements that appeared to be directed towards MGK, the “Transformers” actress made quite a commotion when she stopped wearing her engagement ring.
Headlines were combusting earlier this year when reports swirled that pop-rocker Machine Gun Kelly, 33, and “Jennifer’s Body” star, Megan Fox, 37, had split.
However, following Fox’s beaming hot snaps shared to Instagram on Saturday, showcasing the actress crawling on a tree in a very revealing bikini, the two may be on way better terms now.
MGK, real name Colson Baker, put the ever-spinning rumour mill to rest when he commented underneath the spicy pics: “if this is what a wild animal looks like, i’d let it maul me”.
After Baker proposed to Fox last year, the two have been reportedly attempting to mend their on-and-off again relationship after a source revealed that the two had experienced multiple clashes over the months.
Despite being photographed in Hawaii in April, enjoying their time together, the two have remained tight-lipped about their relationship status for months.
This is the first time since the rumours have emerged that Baker left a comment on Fox’s social media, so maybe they have officially resolved cracks in their relationship.
The actress and the rapper were spotted in Hawaii having dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday night. In photos obtained by TMZ, the two dressed casual for the outing. He opted for a pink muscle shirt, white shorts and high-top Converse shoes, while she sported a green tank top and black pants.
Eyewitnesses told the outlet that the pair appeared to enjoy each other’s company but there were no signs of PDA. On their way out, they reportedly waved to some fans as they headed for a stroll down the beach after dinner.
The public outing comes about a month after rumours of a split seemed to intensify, especially after Megan hit up Vanity Fair‘s Oscars after-party without MGK. A source previously told ET that Megan and MGK “still have trust issues to work through.”
“They have a lot to work out before they can think about moving forward together as partners,” the source said. “MGK really loves Megan, and he is hopeful that they can get to a better place and be happy together. He knows he is going to have to go above and beyond to reconcile things with her.”
Reports of trouble in paradise began swirling in February when Megan posted cryptic lyrics on Instagram. Around the same time, fans discovered that the actress no longer was following her fiancé on the platform, and had deleted photos of him from her account. Megan later deactivated her account entirely.
A source later told ET that the couple had gotten into “a big argument” that left Megan “very upset.” Shortly thereafter, Megan and MGK were spotted leaving a marriage counseling office.
The drama unfolded online after people began accusing MGK of cheating on Megan with his guitarist, Sophie Lloyd, something both women have publicly denied.
The “Transformers” actor hinted at a possible spit from her rocker fiancé over the weekend, deleting all photos of the two from her Instagram account.
Fox also posted photos with lyrics from the Beyoncé song “Pray You Catch Me,” which say “You can taste the dishonesty / It’s all over your breath.”

Fox further shared what appeared to be a video clip of papers burning in a fire.
She added even more fuel to fans’ speculations by reducing the number of people she followed on Instagram to just three: singer Harry Styles, actor Timothée Chalamet and rapper Eminem.
The Eminem follow in particular raised eyebrows, as MGK and the “Lose Yourself” rapper have a long-running beef and have exchanged diss tracks over the years. Fox once starred in the music video for Eminem and Rihanna’s 2010 collaboration “Love the Way You Lie.”
But even as the Instagram drama made headlines, Fox deactivated her account.
While Machine Gun Kelly hasn’t spoken out about the rumors, he still had photos of Fox on his Instagram as of Monday afternoon.
HuffPost has reached out to reps for both parties.

Fox and MGK were seen together over Super Bowl weekend, when the musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, performed a set at an event in Phoenix prior to the big game. He and Fox also walked the Grammys red carpet on Feb. 8.
The couple first confirmed they were dating in June 2020, and they got engaged ― reportedly drinking each other’s blood to mark the occasion ― in January 2022.
Megan Fox has started a new chapter in her dating life. Months after separating from her husband of more than a decade Brian Austin Green, the actress has found new love with musician/actor Machine Gun Kelly (real name: Colson Baker). After meeting on a movie set earlier in 2021, they’re now engaged over a year later.
Below, a breakdown of Fox and Kelly’s time as a couple, including how the couple is “planning their future together.”
March 2020
Fox, 34, and Kelly, 30, met earlier this year on the set of the upcoming indie thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass.Deadlinereported that the film’s production in Puerto Rico shut down after two weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic. A source told E! Newsthat the co-stars had “been hanging out a lot since their movie was shutdown,” adding, “The down time has been good for them…They are intrigued by each other and having a lot of fun.”
May 15, 2020
Rumors of romance between Kelly and Fox began when the DailyMailpublished photos of the pair grabbing takeout together in Calabasas. The outing came amid rumors that she was quarantining separately from her longtime husband, Green. Both had been spotted without their wedding rings in recent months.
The next day, Green posted a cryptic message to Instagram, marking his wife’s birthday. “Eventually butterflies get bored sitting on a flower for too long,” he wrote alongside a photo of a butterfly on a flower. “They start feeling smothered. It’s a great big world and they want to experience it.”
May 18, 2020
Three days later, the Beverly Hills 90210 alum confirmed that he and Fox have been on a break since December 2019, via his …with Brian Austin Greenpodcast. “She said, ‘I realized when I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience and I think that might be something worth trying for me,’” he recalled Fox telling him. “I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way. It wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt.”
He also addressed recent photos of Fox and Kelly out together. “I’ve never met him, but Megan and I have talked about him,” Austin said. “They’re friends at this point, and from what she’s expressed, he’s a really nice, genuine guy, and I trust her judgment.”

Green and Fox share three sons, Noah, 7; Bodhi, 6; and Journey, 3. The former couple began dating in 2004 and split in 2006 before getting married in 2010. They filed for divorce in 2015, but reconciled ahead of their third son’s birth in 2016.
“I will always love her, and I know she will always love me, and I know as far as a family, what we built is really cool and really special,” Brian explained, later adding, “I really don’t want Megan and I to be at odds. She’s been my best friend for 15 years, and I don’t want to lose that.”

A source from Fox’s camp spoke to E! about her relationship with Kelly. “Megan has been working on a movie with Machine Gun Kelly and gotten close to him. They are hooking up and have been for a little while,” the insider said. “She is separated from Brian Austin Green, and they are taking time apart as a couple. She has something going on with Machine Gun Kelly that she is excited about.”

Then, Kelly released the music video for “Bloody Valentine,” the first single off of his upcoming album. Fox starred in the video as Kelly’s domineering girlfriend, sharing an almost-kiss with the musician and stoking further speculation about their relationship.

Nearly a month later, the Daily Mailpublished photographs of Fox and Austin holding hands and kissing after a night spent at Mr. Furley’s Bar in Sherman Oaks, California. The couple’s public date night came one day after Green was seen having lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles with model Courtney Stodden by TMZ.
Later that day, Kelly seemed to allude to his new relationship, tweeting a lyric from “Bloody Valentine.” “I’m calling you girlfriend, what the f*ck.’ Life imitated art on that one,” he wrote.

A source toldE!that although Fox may be moving on, Green “isn’t filing for divorce yet,” adding, “He wants to give Megan space and is hopeful they will find their way back to one another. It’s been hard to see her get back out in the dating world, but he is trying to fill his time with his kids and friends.”
June 17, 2020
The next day, Us Weeklyreported that Kelly and Fox were officially dating.“Megan and MGK have gotten more serious and are officially dating and referring to one another as boyfriend and girlfriend,” a source told the outlet. “They’re enjoying spending more and more time together and have a strong connection.”
A source told E! News that this relationship is “new and exciting for Megan” and that she’s spending time with Kelly whenever Brian has the kids. The insider continued, “She has only been with Brian for many years, and this is very different. She’s into it.”
June 23, 2020
More than a month after their first public outing, Fox and Kelly appear to be going strong. The Daily Mail ran photographs of the couple leaving dinner at Soho House in West Hollywood, on Tuesday, June 23. Earlier that day, Kelly shared photos of his and Fox’s matching “Bloody Valentine”-inspired manicures on his Instagram Story, via Us Weekly.

Fox and Kelly gave their first joint interview on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s podcast, Give Them Lala … With Randall. Randall directed the couple in Midnight in the Switchgrass and Fox recalled her initial thoughts when she discovered Kelly was cast. “I was like, ‘Who is going to play this role?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,’ and immediately, I was like, ‘Uh oh,’” Fox said, via Entertainment Tonight.
“Because I knew—I could feel that some wild shit was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul—that something was going to come from that,” she added.
After meeting on set and filming for two days, Fox said she felt an astrological connection between them. “I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” she recalled. “Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”
“I think it was the second day [of filming],” she continued. “I asked him to come into my trailer for lunch, and I put him through all of this astrology stuff. I went deep right away. I knew before I even did his chart, I said to him, he has a Pisces moon. I could tell by his energy.”
All of the astrological talk ensued because the couple got a reading from astrologist Susan Miller during the podcast. Miller said the pair appeared destined to be married, although Fox clarified, “We’re not engaged or anything like that.” But when the astrologist said Kelly was meant to marry someone who is “happy, or it could be a scholar,” he replied, “Yeah, Megan is always really happy.”
July 28, 2020
The pair of more than two months went Instagram official a week later. Kelly was the first to post a photo, sharing a black-and-white mirror selfie of the couple sticking their tongues out. He captioned the picture, “waited for eternity to find you again … 🔪💫❤️🔪” As if that wasn’t passionate enough, Kelly tagged “The Universe” as their location.
August 5, 2020
Fox made the relationship official on her feed the following week. This time, the declaration caused some drama. It all started when Fox shared her own black-and-white mirror selfie of the couple. She sported a bikini, while Kelly opted to go shirtless. “Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours 🔪♥️🔪” Fox captioned the photo.
And although she disabled comments on the post, that didn’t stop her ex from weighing in. Green copied Fox’s caption, posting his own photos of his four sons, including his three with Fox, on Instagram and Twitter. “Achingly beautiful boys…… My heart is yours,” he wrote alongside headshots of sons Kassius, 18; Noah, 7; Bodhi, 6; and Journey, 4.

Green’s shade comes two days after he spoke on the Hollywood Raw podcast about co-parenting with Fox. “I think for us…the realization of that we can’t take the view that it won’t affect the kids, because it will,” he said, via E!. “I think it’s up to us, and parents in general, how it affects your kids…whether it’s a really negative experience for them or it’s ok and they feel safe in it and they feel loved…and they feel like, you know, everyone still loves and respects everyone, things are just different. But, it’s not bad different, it’s just different.” He added, “I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy for her and for the kids. That’s super important.”
August 14, 2020
If Instagram didn’t already make things official, then Kelly just did. When the rapper appeared on BuzzFeed Celeb’s Thirst Tweets, he read a tweet from a fan who asked if he’d go out on a date.
“Machine gun kelly I just wanna let you know am free this sunday to go on a date just let me know if ur free sunday cause I am free and would like to take you on a date,” the fan wrote.
Kelly responded: “I’m locked in already right now. No dates for me. Probably ever.”
When another fan wrote, “I would let machine gun kelly suck my toes maybe,” Kelly responded: “Like I said, I’m only sucking one pair of toes.”
August 25, 2020
Fox slyly reacted to her ex’s post while speaking with Entertainment Tonight. “For whatever reason, people are very trigger happy to call me stupid or call me vain or call me a slut, which is crazy. I was in the same relationship for 15 years, you know?” she explained, adding, “It’s bizarre, this image that gets projected onto me that people have just accepted and that’s lived for over a decade and that I never really did anything to earn in the first place.”
August 30, 2020
Green went ahead and gave another update on how he’s feeling regarding his ex’s romance. “I never say never,” he said when asked on an Instagram Live whether he’d reconcile with Fox, via ET. “I kinda feel like people are on paths in life and sometimes your paths are together and you travel that path together and you see eye to eye, and then sometimes paths do different things.”
He was also asked by a fan what his opinion of Kelly was. “I’ve never met him, I have no idea,” he replied, adding, “I can say, yeah, I’ve heard bad stories about him, but I’ve heard bad stories about myself as well and I know most of those aren’t true. As of right now, I have no problem with him at all. I really hope that he and Megan are happy.”
September 10, 2020
Despite the occasional public input from Green, Kelly and Fox’s relationship appears to be going smoothly. “MGK has met Megan’s kids, but Brian is pretty protective of them,” a source told Us Weekly. “Megan and Brian’s relationship is so up and down. They have been coparenting in a healthy way as best as they can.”
However, the insider explained that this four-month relationship wasn’t going faster than in needed to. “MGK and Megan aren’t seriously taking about getting engaged, married or having kids right now and they’re not there yet. It’s too soon for everyone, both of their kids and Brian included,” the source said. “They are definitely super into each other. MGK is obsessed with Megan.”
September 17, 2020
Then the couple shared another milestone from their romance—hearing the song “Bloody Valentine” on the radio for the first time. Megan and Kelly sit in the car together as the song for which they co-starred in the music video plays in the background.
September 23, 2020
Kelly offered another update on his and Fox’s relationship to Howard Stern, telling the host that he “didn’t know what [true love] was until me and her made eye contact,” via E!. “That’s when I was like, ‘Whoa.’”
He elaborated on how falling in love impacted the creation of his latest album. “After I made the big chunk of the album [Tickets to My Downfall] I did fall in love for the first time,” Kelly explained. “That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that. I definitely wasn’t set up to believe that that’s something that could ever exist.”
September 25, 2020
The pair made a stir days later, while celebrating the release of Kelly’s album. Peoplespotted Fox and Kelly out for a date night in Los Angeles, which later proved to involve the couple scaling the roof of The Roxy. Kelly posted photos from the evening, including a media request for info about The Roxy scaling, to Instagram.

Kelly’s next music video for his song “drunk face” also showcases his love for Fox. In the documentary-style video, there are several clips featuring Fox, including one where the pair shares a kiss for the camera.

Fox also plugged Kelly’s record on her Instagram feed, lip-synching along to one of her favorite songs from the album.

A few days after their last public date night in Santa Monica, new reports emerged that Kelly hadbeen introduced to Fox’s kids. A source told Peoplethat Kelly “recently met her kids for the first time. Megan thought it was a natural step, since they are getting more serious. They are in a committed relationship and it’s not just a fling. They are planning a future together.” The insider added that Fox and Kelly “spend as much time together as they can” and are “doing great.”
Another source spoke to E! about how the couple is “planning their future together” and are “very serious.” The insider explained, “They see themselves as soulmates and life partners. They are taking steps every day to build on that. Machine Gun Kelly has met her kids and is becoming a part of their lives. She wanted to make sure it was going in a serious direction and they both feel very strongly that it is.”
As for their five-month long relationship, the E! News source affirmed, “They are very much in love and excited that they have found one another.”
December 2020
Now that Kelly and Fox have been together for, well, the entire pandemic, things are starting to get serious. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Kelly sees marriage with Fox as something that will happen for them soon.
“MGK and Megan make each other laugh and that’s a big thing for Megan,” the source said. “They keep each other smiling. MGK totally sees marriage in his future with Megan and friends could 100 percent see them getting engaged within the next year.”
The source added, however, that “Megan doesn’t think about getting engaged [or] married and she doesn’t put a timeline in place and it’s not something that really crosses her mind.”
February 2021
Although marriage could very much be in Fox and MGK’s future, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Fox isn’t quite ready for marriage with her “twin flame.”
“An engagement could be in Megan Fox and MGK’s future and same with having kids together. MGK definitely wants both of those things, but Megan is a little hesitant right now. In the meantime, they are constantly laughing together and always have the best time.”

A source close to Fox told E! that Fox and MGK “plan to get engaged and married” and that the couple is “very much in love and have a strong and intense relationship…Her divorce is moving along, and they are hashing out custody details.”
For context, a separate source told E! in February that Fox’s ex, Brian Austin Green, was dragging out divorce proceedings. “Brian is definitely not making it easy or doing things quickly,” the source said. “Megan would like to wrap it up and get it finished as quickly as possible, but Brian is not exactly working with her on that.”
May 2021
Kelly and Fox had a big month of appearances—and potentially even bigger private talks about their future. A source told ET that the couple is “doing great,” and that the singer “would marry Megan in a heartbeat.” Fox, meanwhile, was “definitely in love” with Kelly but in no rush for that next step. “[She is] having a great time with where things are at now,” the source said. “She really takes her kids into consideration and knows that taking that next step would be a big adjustment, but it’s not off the table.”
On May 23, Fox and MGK attended the Billboard Music Awards together, where they were seen touching tongues (Kelly had a black tongue), being affectionate in front of the cameras, and just generally showing a lot of PDA.

Later that week, at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, they wore matching pink outfits. Fox was in a pink Barbie jumpsuit while Kelly matched her with a white suit embellished with a pink butterfly. Their PDA was more restrained this time compared to their previous date’s tongue touching:

On a photo of Fox on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards that Fox captioned “Daddy Issues Barbie,” Kelly also commented, “daddy loves you.”
During Indy 500 weekend, Kelly and Fox made an appearance at Barstool Sports’ party at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, where the audience called for Fox to join Kelly onstage.
“She came out after everyone was chanting ‘Megan’ for some time,” a source told E!. “Then she did stay on the stage in the background for the whole song.”

June 2021
The following month, Fox and Kelly were spotted sharing an intimate PDA moment for all to see. The two shared a kiss near a street in Sherman Oaks. Fox showed off her abs as she wore beige matching crop top and short set. Kelly wore a pink button down with light blue jeans paired with white sneakers.
“MGK would love to start a family with Megan someday, but right now doesn’t seem to be the time in terms of scheduling,” the source told the outlet. “As far as engagement goes, it is likely that this will happen sooner than later, and it has been a topic of conversation without question.”
The source continued, “their schedules are starting to get super busy again, so they just want to make sure that the timing is right since it would be a big step for both them and their families.”
In a separate interview surrounding the release of her movie Till Death, Fox also shared with The Washington Post that she knew MGK was her “soulmate” as soon as they met:
“The first time I looked into his eyes, I was like…‘I know you. I have known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lives.’ She told the publication that “wasn’t expecting it’d be like, ‘God, you are my soulmate,’ instantly.”
October 2021
Fox and Kelly were interviewed by British GQ in October and described their romance as “intense.”
“This is a very intense relationship,” Fox said. “Our souls chose this to absolutely have to face our shadow selves; to face things about ourselves we didn’t want to have to know, that we tried to push away.”
“It should be light [like first love], but also we go to hell with each other,” Kelly added. “It’s ecstasy and agony for sure… I don’t want people to think anything’s perfect with us. I didn’t say it was the darkest fairy tale for no reason. God help you if you would’ve met us last Saturday.”
January 2022
Machine Gun Kelly proposed to Fox under a banyan tree that was apparently pretty significant to their romance, according to a post on Instagram. In the caption, she explained the meaning of the location and admitted that after she accepted his hand in marriage, they drank each other’s blood.
On his Instagram MGK shared a photo of the emerald and diamond ring designed by jeweler Stephen Webster, saying it incorporated both of their birthstones.
In an interview later that month with Vogueduring Dolce & Gabbana’s Milan show, Kelly revealed that the ring is designed so it hurts to take it off.
Kelly explained, “It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine. And the diamond was directly from Stephen [Webster]. The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…”
“Love is pain!” he added.
February 2022
In February, Machine Gun Kelly made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform “Emo Girl” with Willow Smith. During an interview with the host, he said that he and Fox had been discussing their wedding theme.
MGK said he was “trying to find a spot” that worked for his “artistic” vision of the ceremony and reception. The couple wants to have a “red river” and “gothic” features, so naturally the “location is hard.”
“I change my opinions about things a lot,” MGK explained.
April 2022
Fox posted a loving tribute to MGK for his birthday along with an adorable pic of him giving her a piggyback ride against a glorious pink sunset.
May 2022
The couple celebrated Fox’s birthday together, during which the actress had one special request for her man. In an interview by Entertainment Tonight‘s Denny Directo on the red carpet, Fox said, “My main request is always just no cell phones. So, whatever we do, wherever we go, I just want there to be no phones.”
July 2022
The couple is discussing potentially having more children. Fox has three children with her ex, Brian Austin Green, and MGK has one daughter from a previous relationship. A source told Entertainment Tonight that they are discussing “expanding their family one day.”
“Megan and MGK are pretty much done wedding planning. They are both totally on the same page, which has made things easy for them, but Megan is definitely pulling everything together and has the final say on what goes and what doesn’t,” the source explained. “They are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together, traveling the world, living in complete bliss and harmony, and potentially expanding their family one day.”
October 2022
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly attended the Casamigos Tequila Halloween party in Beverly Hills wearing a couples costume, dressing up as ‘90s era Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

They based their outfits on the ones that Anderson and Lee wore to the grand opening party for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in 1995. Fox was wearing a pink and red latex mini-dress and had her hair bleached blonde and teased up in tall waves. Kelly was wearing a white tank top, black leather pants, a chain and studded belt, and and a jet black ‘do.
November 2022
In November of 2022, Machine Gun Kelly was nominated for a Grammy for his album Mainstream Sellout in the Best Rock Album category. Megan Fox celebrated his success in an Instagram Story, writing, “WOW congratulations to my Grammy nominated fiancé and hottest Edward Scissorhands cosplayer. You work harder than anyone I’ve ever known and are twice as talented. You deserve this.”

LOS ANGELES — The Recording Academy will announce nominees for the 65th Grammy Awards on Tuesday with some significant additions.
The academy earlier this year five new categories including songwriter of the year to honor music’s best composer and a special song for social change award.
The non-classical songwriter category will recognize one individual who was the “most prolific” non-performing and non-producing songwriter for a body of new work. It will take a different approach than song of the year, which awards the songwriters who wrote the lyrics or melodies to one song.
This year’s announcement will be made on a livestream beginning at noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific at https://live.grammy.com/. Among those announcing the nominees this year will be Olivia Rodrigo, John Legend, Machine Gun Kelly and Smokey Robinson.
Possible nominees include Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles and Adele. Some other hopefuls include Lizzo and Steve Lacy, who both had two of the biggest songs this year.
The Grammy Awards will be handed out Feb. 5 in Los Angeles.
The new category for songwriters is a huge step forward. Last year, a rule update allowed that any songwriter, producer, engineer or featured artist on an album nominated for album of the year could ultimately earn a nomination.
The four other categories include best spoken word poetry album, alternative music performance, Americana music performance and score soundtrack for video games and other interactive media.
“I actually thought this was the funniest costume,” Morales tells ET’s Matt Cohen about the producers approaching her with the idea to dress up as the “Jennifer’s Body” actress. “To be able to team up with Jerry as my MGK. It doesn’t get any better than that.”
“I thought it was really funny,” O’Connell adds about the idea. “They were like, ‘What if you were MGK and what if Natalie was Megan Fox?’ I thought it was really funny.”
For Morales, the transition involved a little tape and an “instant facelift” to transform the shape of her eyes and contacts to change her eye colour. O’Connell’s transition involved a lot of practice sticking out his tongue and some edgy clothes.
Morales knows that in order to channel Megan, it’s all all about the smoldering look.
“Megan does not like to talk very much, she’s not very expressive,” she says about getting into character. “She’s, you know, she’s very stoic.”
However, both co-hosts had to get used to the big hair transformation.
“It’s not real hair that would cost too much but it’s very close,” Morales says about her new dark tresses. “And it’s gorgeous and I might wear this home.”
For O’Connell, he says whatever he has to do to get into character, he’s all for it.
“I could say something about, like, wigs,” he says. “It’s fun, it’s like, I love them. You know, you do pin these wigs in a little bit. The pain is temporary, but MGK is forever.”
While O’Connell’s wife, Rebecca Romijn, isn’t getting in on the costume with him, he does think MGK and Megan are the perfect costume to keep things sexy.
“It’s a great idea for a costume if you’re a couple because if you’re a brunette, you can wear a blonde wig if your MGK. If you’re blonde, you can wear a brunette wig to be Megan Fox,” he says. “It’s a good couples thing. You can dress a little sexy. People love that on Halloween.”
He adds, “I love those two as a couple. I think they’re really talented.”
O’Connell and Morales’ co-stars also joined in on the Halloween fun. Akbar Gbajabiamila transformed into Shaft, Amanda Kloots was a full ice blonde as “Game of Thrones”’ Khaleesi and Sheryl Underwood was the hot girl coach, Megan Thee Stallion.
“The Talk” Halloween episode airs Monday Oct. 31 on CBS.
Halloween: a holiday for spooky-themed debauchery. Its allure can partly be attributed to its unabashed celebration of our inner children. We’re encouraged to be creative. To carve pumpkins, dress up in costume, and revel in our shared silliness. We show off our interests — from our favorite characters and to our favorite memes — with our elaborate get-ups. Even if you opt for a minimal, last-minute, or outright “sexy” outfit — bunny ears or cat ears included — it’s all about the fun.
Until it isn’t.
Halloween is also a night when people exploit this annual opportunity to dress up and cross a line. Racism reigns as people head to parties in offensive costumes, often including cultural appropriation or even Blackface. With the current alarming rise in public anti-semitism, more than a few Nazi costumes were out this year. And after the success of Netflix’s Dahmer, Jeffery Dahmer costumes are also concerningly abundant. Appalling.
There’s still a long way to go. But in the age of increased awareness, thankfully, we’re seeing less of these costumes in public — or at least on social media. Say what you will about cancel culture, but it makes people think twice before doing something stupid. And for that alone, I am grateful.
This especially applies to celebrities. Hopefully, we’re beyond the days of public apologies for blatantly offensive Halloween attire. But this Halloween, a couple of problematic celebrity costumes fell through the cracks. Now that we’re not distracted by as many celebs in Blackface, I guess we have the opportunity to dissect more nuanced costume faux pas.
Let’s get into it:
First of all, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. Hollywood’s most extra couple stepped out as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. After the success of the Hulu adaptation starring Lily James and Sebastian Stan, the pair’s fabled romance has been thrust back into the spotlight.
However, there are many things wrong with the Hulu series. For a show supposedly critical of the exploitation of female sexuality, it sure did a bunch of exploiting. The show allegedly examined the media’s power structures that fosters a sexist culture. Yet, those very same structures ignored Anderson’s perspective on the show.
Pamela Anderson was vocally against the show — not wanting to relive that part of her life. Especially seeing it glamorized on screen as some wacky, edgy adventure. And while Anderson herself has done some problematic Halloween costumes, it’s time to untangle her narrative from the media’s portrayal of it.
As if that weren’t bad enough, this revival again branded Pam and Tommy as just another volatile, rock-n-roll relationship. I’m sure you can see why it attracted Megan and MGK. However, what pop culture seems to have forgotten, is that Tommy Lee was convicted of physical assault against Pamela Anderson.
Like many people, MGK and Megan Fox may not have known about the domestic violence in the relationship. And that’s the problem. Rather than prioritizing Anderson’s voice and story, the culture has chosen to highlight a sensationalized version of events. Seems we didn’t learn much from Free Britney.
Excising their relationship’s abusive ending allows the story to live as a glamorized mythos. Ignoring the abuse while capitalizing on Anderson’s trauma reveals that popular culture still has a long way to go.
But Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox were not the only ones who made us cringe with their carelessly conceived costumes.
New couple Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford had one of the most controversial costumes of the weekend. The two sparked dating rumors a few weeks ago after being repeatedly spotted together.
Given their 11-year age difference, the internet had some thoughts. How old is Billie Eilish? Eilish is 20 — and turns 21 in December. While Rutherford — best known as the lead singer in The Neighborhood — is 32. Not a great look for the ‘Sweater Weather’ singer, who the internet has since been accusing of grooming.
Well, first of all, I’d compare this more to a Leonardo DiCaprio situation. In that instance, Camila Morrone was 21 and free to make the mistake of dating DiCaprio — a relationship that has now, thankfully, ended. But that didn’t make it any less creepy.
Our culture fetishizes younger women, and Eilish has felt this all of her career. So when older men pursue younger women, especially women in their early 20s whose brains literally haven’t fully developed, we’re right to be suspicious. It’s a concerning dynamic. But while we can be critical, it doesn’t help to infantilize Eilish and her decisions.
People gotta to learn the hard way, I guess.
However, the fledgling couple sparked ire this weekend with their Halloween getups. In an attempt to be self-aware about the gossipy conversations about their relationship, they dressed up as a baby and an old man. Gross.
u201cBillie Eilish and boyfriend Jesse Rutherford dressed up together as a baby and an old man for Halloween.u201d
Their exaggeration of the age difference is a pointed jab at the haters. But inadvertently, it’s making light of grooming as a phenomenon. So disappointing as Eilish has been vocal about the industry’s penchant for grooming. And while she’s free to make her own decisions and pursue her own relationships, this costume choice leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Like any concerning Halloween costume, this one ignores the larger social context. Downplaying the concept of grooming is not as funny as the pair thought. For any couple, going as a baby and an old man would be really-really disgusting. For this couple, it’s even more layered.
But luckily for us, this Halloweekend was actually full of great costumes, too.
For celebs, Halloween is an extreme sport. Not only do they have the money and resources to put together the most elaborate costumes — they’re also creatives. If anything, it’s their job to think outside of the box and perform! To entertain! To put on a show! And on Halloween, they deliver.
Now, as social media has upped its game, many celebs take their costume reveals as seriously as their baby reveals. They st up professional photo shoot pictures with extravagant sets with special effects and staging. These are a far cry from my blurry costume photos taken halfway through my nights out.
But I love the extraness! The production value! It’s camp!
So, as a palette cleanser, here are some of the best Halloween costumes from this weekend.
Chloe Bailey as Lola Bunny
Kali Uchis as Jessica Rabbit
Hailey Bieber’s Runway Look
The Riverdale Girls as the Hocus Pocus Witches
Kerry Washington as Lionel Richie
Kim Kardashian’s kids as Hip-Hop Icons
