The song, which was released in 2000, was a hit for Braxton, who won a Grammy the following year for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for the track.

In other parts of the song, the lyrics continued, “What you thinkin’? / Stop blamin’ me / He wasn’t man enough for me / If you don’t know, now here’s the chance / I’ve already had your man.”

Swifties have previously theorized that The Life of a Show Girl’s new song “Opalite” is subtly shading Nicole with its lyrics.

Swift is embracing her inner homebody. “It’s been so fun to see what Taylor actually gets into around the house,” Kelce said on “New Heights,” before Swift opened up about her obsession with baking and knitting. “I’d say all my hobbies could be categorized as, like, hobbies you could have had in the 1700s, you know? Like, I get on my granny s***,” she said, adding, “we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life.”
Days at home are decidedly low-key. “They love cooking challenges and random deep dives on documentaries,” says the second source. “Taylor is always organizing something, and Travis likes video games and is always studying football games. They complement each other in that way.”
They’ve developed a few daily routines. “They always have coffee together in the morning,” adds the second source, noting that the duo also attends regular Sunday get-togethers with friends after Chiefs games. They celebrated the team’s win on October 19 at Kelce’s new 1587 Prime steakhouse restaurant, which he co-owns with teammate and close pal Patrick Mahomes. (While Swift has attended at least three of Kelce’s home games this season, she’s kept a noticeably lower profile because the attention on her was “getting too excessive,” says the first source.)
They try to unplug when they can. “They love to turn their phones off [and have] no distractions [when they’re together],” says the second source. Swift raved about spending time with Kelce during her October 6 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “He’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met, no offense to everyone else,” she said, noting she’s thrilled “that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever.”
The pair have no airs about them. “Whenever I’m with her, it feels like we’re just regular people,” Kelce told GQ in his August cover story. “When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love.” Says the second source: “Taylor and Travis are super simple. The duo enjoys hosting at their house. “Taylor puts a lot of thought into creating a welcoming atmosphere, from curating the playlist to setting a beautiful table and cooking herself,” says the first source, noting that their gatherings tend to be pretty informal. “They’re about connection, laughter and slowing down.”
Their circle is small and includes Patrick and Brittany Mahomes (Swift traveled to Nashville for Brittany’s 30th birthday party in August), the singer’s longtime besties, like Selena Gomez and Ashley Avignone, and their respective families. The first source says Swift has “gotten closer” with sister-in-law Kylie Kelce. During Swift’s “New Heights” appearance, she told Jason she had been workshopping a funfetti loaf recipe for his and Kylie’s daughters “because they love everything rainbow,” pointing out they put “sprinkles in everything when we hang out.” The singer also has a strong bond with Kelce’s mom, Donna. “Travis’ family adores Taylor and treats her like she is one of their own,” says the first source, adding, “Taylor and Travis have merged their friend groups and families. Everyone is deeply connected now.”

Wedding plans are “coming along,” says the first source. “They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help.” They’re hoping to tie the knot next summer, possibly in Rhode Island, where she has a summer house. “They don’t want a long engagement,” reveals the source, noting that Swift and Kelce “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
The happy couple is also in the market for their forever home. In early August, it was reported they’d looked at an $18 million mansion in the suburbs of Northeast Ohio, near Kelce’s hometown.

Since releasing The Life of a Showgirl earlier this month, Swift has revealed that several tracks were inspired by Travis — including “Opalite.”
“He loves that one,” Swift said of Travis during a Friday interview on the U.K.’s Capital FM radio station. “I have favorite words, favorite phrases [and] things I’ll put in an endless file of lyrics that I’m constantly going to go and cherry-pick from when I’m writing.”
Swift went on to add “opalite” to that list. “Opal can be man-made just like diamonds, and so, Travis’ birthstone is an opal,” she shared. “I’ve always fixated on that, [and] I’ve always loved that stone. I thought it was kind of a cool metaphor that, like, it’s a man-made opal and happiness can also be man-made, too. That’s what the song is about, the juxtaposition of those two.”

The Right Thing
Keaton offered a blunt response in a 1996 ABC News interview when asked why she “never got married.”
“I think I never got married because I didn’t want to get married,” Keaton replied. “I didn’t choose to get married and the people that I was with, it was best that we were not married. I did the right thing.”
An Oddball
Speaking to People in 2019, Keaton suggested marriage may never have worked for her because she considered herself to be an outsider.
“I think that I’m strange,” she quipped. “I don’t know anything, and I haven’t learned. Getting older hasn’t made me wiser.”
Keaton argued that there was “something missing in me” and that a husband would need someone who “nurtured” them, which she was not capable of.

“I’m an odd ball,” she confessed. “I remember one day in high school, this guy came up to me and said, ‘One day you’re going to make a good wife.’ And I thought, ‘I don’t want to be a wife. No.’”
‘Seduced By Talent’
The First Wives Club actress pushed back against the disparaging theory that she may have been “sad” about never marrying.
“[I’m not sad] because I think that I needed more of a maternal aspect,” she told People. “I don’t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and I’m really glad I didn’t, and I’m sure they’re happy about it, too.”
She added, “When I was young, I was looking to be loved by these extraordinary people. I think I should not have been so seduced by talent. When you’re both doing the same job, it’s not so great. I should have found just a nice human being, kind of a family guy.”
Conflicted Feelings
Speaking to YouTuber Kjersti Flaa in 2019, Keaton examined whether she was “really being honest” when she said she never wanted to “be someone’s wife.”
“I did say that and sometimes I think that’s not really right,” she admitted. “I think, in abstract, it might have been a really good idea to be married because I think it really is an important, wonderful institution for people to get together and stay together and live together. I don’t think I had it in me, though.”

Keaton suggested it would have been “taxing” to have “had the role [her] mother had” as a housewife.
“I didn’t want that. I didn’t want to have my mother’s role,” she insisted. “I saw that she had a lot of ambition that she couldn’t realize because of four kids and a husband in the ‘50s.”
‘A Different Sort of Love’
Keaton stressed in that 2019 interview that, “since marriage never really happened,” she developed “a different sort of love” for other people in her life.
“I really love the family that I have … those people are really, really important to me and my friends,” she added.

Ideal Husband
While Keaton often gave thoughtful responses when discussing marriage, she once light-heartedly pondered whether one Hollywood hunk might change her mind.
After host Ellen Degeneres broke the bad news that Tatum was married at the time to Jenna Dewan, Keaton had a tongue-in-cheek complaint: “Channing Tatum is actually married to someone else… not me?”
Don Cheadle can’t help but gush about his wife, Bridgid Coulter, when it matters most.
Before accepting an award at the HollyRod Foundation’s 2025 DesignCare Gala on Saturday, October 4, the private couple shared a rare glimpse into what they admire most about each other.
“She’s a great mom, a great wife, an amazing entrepreneur and designer,” Cheadle, 60, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at NYA EAST in Los Angeles. “She’s just a solid citizen, and it’s been 30-plus years.”
The Crash and Hotel Rwanda actor began dating Coulter, 57, in 1992. They secretly got married during the coronavirus pandemic in 2021.
While Coulter appreciated her husband’s kind remarks on the red carpet, she had a bit more fun with her answer.
When asked to share what she admires most about Cheadle, Coulter joked, “He’s cute. It’s all about the looks, and he’s very talented, of course!”

Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete awarded Cheadle and Coulter with the Clarence & Jacqueline Avant Humanitarian Award at their foundation’s annual gala. The honor is reserved for individuals whose compassion, advocacy and selflessness create lasting impact.
While Cheadle serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme, Coulter has created transformative spaces of belonging, leadership and creativity for women of color and allies through the Blackboard Collective and Blackbird Alliance.
Back in June 2021, Cheadle first confirmed that he was a married man when he appeared on an episode ofThe Ellen DeGeneres Show. At the time, guest host Wanda Sykes apologized for not knowing the actor was already married until he texted her with the personal news.
Cheadle quickly told the comedian there were no hard feelings.

“Yeah, I mean, that’s understandable, given that we’ve been together 28 years before we got married,” the Oscar nominee joked. “I hold you blameless.”
While the pair — who share adult children Tai and Imani — try to keep their romance off of social media and away from the public eye, Coulter acknowledged that being honored by the Peete family’s charity was a big deal.
“We don’t really do a lot together in public,” she said alongside her husband. “This is only because of the cause.”
The HollyRod Foundation is dedicated to providing compassionate care to those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease.

Holly and Rodney’s son, RJ, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. He is now 27 years old and thriving as an employee of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Meanwhile, Holly’s father, Matt Robinson, died of Parkinson’s in 2002. Holly’s brother is currently living with early-onset Parkinson’s.
“We’ve been friends of their family for a while, and just really supporters of what they do,” Cheadle said of Holly and Rodney’s work. “What they’re doing for their foundation is so unique and years of great work. I’m glad to be here to support them.”
Coulter added, “Their work for autism and Parkinson’s is really important, and we’ve known Matt [Robinson] forever. Honoring the work they do is something we feel privileged to do here.”
Matlock star David Del Rio was dropped from the cast of the CBS series in October 2025 following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
Us Weekly reported at the time that David — who is married to actress and chef Katherine Del Rio — was involved in an incident with his Matlock costar Leah Lewis that September, which sparked an internal investigation at CBS. David was reportedly escorted off the Matlock set and later dismissed from his role as first-year associate lawyer Billy Martinez.
David nor his wife Katherine offered any immediate comment on his dismissal from Matlock. Several members of the Matlock cast — including Lewis and Skye P. Marshall — continued to follow Katherine via social media in the wake of the controversy, though many of them stopped following her husband. (Lewis wrote via Instagram that she was “moving forward in strength” in the wake of the news.)
Katherine and David’s relationship started off unexpectedly when she attended a Broadway performance of In the Heights in 2010 and was introduced to her future husband — who starred in the musical — at the stage door after the show. David and Katherine tied the knot eight years later, after a fortuitous reunion in Los Angeles.

1. Katherine Is an Actress and Chef
Katherine started her career as an actress with guest appearances in TV sitcoms Big Time Rush and Awkward, in addition to appearing in numerous short films. She subsequently described herself as an “actress, chef, and producer with a deep passion for creativity” in a May 2024 interview with Bold Journey.
“I’ve been involved in theater since my childhood and carried that love through my studies at New York University, continuing to perform in New York City,” she said. “After moving to Los Angeles, I expanded into producing while also embracing the culinary arts. In between acting gigs, I pursued my chef career, serving as a private chef for celebrities, catering on film sets, curating picnic boxes, hosting influencer dinners, and even crafting wedding cakes.”

Katherine stressed that cooking wasn’t simply a job for her — it was an “extension of [her] artistic expression.”
“Drawing on the flavors from my travels, I love designing exciting menus that delight my clients,” she said.
2. How She Met Husband David
Katherine and David met in the unlikeliest of ways, when she went with her parents to see Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical In the Heights on Broadway in 2010. Her future husband David was a featured performer in the production at the time.
In a 2018 Inside Edition profile, Katherine recalled scrawling a heart next to David’s picture in the program and, with her father’s encouragement, met the cast after that night’s show. Katherine returned to see In the Heights numerous times before moving to Los Angeles.
“Who knew that seven years ago, when we saw that show and got tickets on a whim […] that was going to be the guy you marry [and] have kids with,” Katherine recalled in 2018.
Katherine was unexpectedly reunited with David years later at a party in L.A. as she was discussing her love of In the Heights with friends.
“When he said he was from In the Heights, I said, ‘Could this be David Del Rio?’” she remembered wondering.

Katherine boldly asked David to perform a song from the musical on the spot before correcting him when he messed up a lyric.
“Now, knowing him, I’m sure he hated this because he’s not that kind of showy guy,” she admitted.
The two started dating and David eventually proposed at the historic Richard Rogers Theater in New York City while they were attending a performance of Hamilton.
“I always had an idea of how I was going to propose,” he confessed. “But the minute I started speaking, we landed at the stage door and I just started forgetting everything I was going to say except the question.”
The couple exchanged vows at a destination wedding in Mexico in April 2018.
3. David and Katherine Founded Their Own Business
They created their own production company called Theatre Row in Austin, Texas, while David was filming short-lived ABC romantic comedy series The Baker and the Beauty in 2020.
“[I founded the company] with my brilliant husband while living in Puerto Rico during his 6-month shoot for The Baker and The Beauty,” she told Voyage Austin in June 2023. “He is also an actor so we are always picking up and moving to where the job takes us! Since then, we have decided to take our production company to Austin and LA.”
She credited starting Theatre Row with helping both herself and David feel more stability in Hollywood.
“Our company has produced a feature film, sold a TV show, been hired to write multiple screenplays, and is in pre and post-production on numerous independent projects,” she said at the time. “Having more control of my career feels empowering, rather than having to wait for an opportunity. Don’t get me wrong, there is still plenty of waiting involved as a writer/producer, but I am always working on something, which is a wonderful feeling.”
4. David and Katherine Share 2 Children
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Lilia, in July 2023, with Katherine declaring via Instagram that her and David’s “lives [had] changed forever.”
“On June 20–a day with record breaking high temperatures in Austin TX—our perfect Lilia was born after 27 hours of labor,” she revealed. “Life has been a blissful, sleepless blur since then, and our little summer solstice baby has completely blown our minds in every way. We had no idea what to expect or what this would feel like, but WOW does its surpass the hype. There will never be enough words for how deeply we love her. In March 2025, Katherine and David announced that Lilia had become a big sister with the arrival of their second daughter, Coco.
“Coco Del Rio arrived with a smile on January 20, right in the heart of a winter storm,” she beamed. “Her big sister is completely obsessed with her, and we are indescribably elated and exhausted. Thank you, God for your miracles.”
5. Katherine Described 2024 as the ‘Hardest Year’
The actress and chef candidly opened up about health problems — and her surprise pregnancy with Coco — in January 2025 while describing hardships from the previous year.
Katherine wrote, “ 2024 was the hardest year of my life. Battling PPD, a brutal pregnancy, & raising a toddler alone while my incredible husband worked 14hr days took its toll Add a few moves, loss, & a huge identity shift, & I was near my breaking point. God forced me to pause, check in on my mental health, & do my best to rest — though with a toddler, that’s easier said than done.”

She mentioned many “many moments of grace” occurred during her difficult year, including her pregnancy, “bonding with Kirsten Dunst (my queen) over postpartum struggles & our lives bouncing between LA/Austin” and “traveling the world with my angel of a firstborn,” among others.
Katherine acknowledged she was still “learning to navigate [her] marriage with intention” despite “seeing each other less” due to David’s busy schedule with Matlock.
“Through it all I’m ultimately so proud of everything I sacrificed for my family because I am watching them thrive & that is more than worth it. God is good,” she concluded.
Chalamet, 29, and Jenner, 28, were spotted in the stands for game four of the American League Division Series game between the Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium in New York City on Wednesday, October 8.
The pair, who sat behind home plate in the front row, kept it casual for their sporty date night. Chalamet supported his home team in a leather Yankees jacket and baseball cap that hid his newly shaved head, while Jenner stayed warm in a blue coat. She opted to keep her hood up, shielding her from the rain.
Throughout the game, Chalamet — a NYC native — could be seen cheering and clapping loudly for his team. He even appeared briefly on the video board, yelling “Yanks in 5! Let’s go!” and holding up five fingers for the camera.

Wednesday’s game marks the second time Chalamet and Jenner have been spotted in the Big Apple recently. Earlier this week, the actor brought his girlfriend to the New York Film Festival premiere of his upcoming movie Marty Supreme. In a video shared by Variety, the couple could be seen laughing and smiling inside a restaurant after the event, where they “sat in a corner booth cuddling as party goers congratulated Chalamet on his performance.”
A separate video posted by NYFF’s official X account on Monday, October 6, showed Jenner backstage at the festival as director Josh Safdie walked out to speak with the audience about the sports comedy, which follows Chalamet’s Marty Mauser, a man training to become a ping-pong player. The film is loosely based on the professional table tennis player Marty Reisman and also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Fran Drescher.

Us Weekly exclusively reported that tension within the family came to a head in May when Brooklyn and his wife chose not to attend David’s 50th birthday party. A source told Us that David and Victoria had gone from “being sad and devastated to now accepting it and realizing there is nothing they can do” to resolve their issues with Brooklyn right now.

He added, “Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease — which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes. If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.”
According to the former ‘NSync performer, he was initially “shocked” by his diagnosis.
“At least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness,” he said. “I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring or keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going. Not only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself but, I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget.”
Biel, for her part, has been steadfast by Timberlake’s side throughout his ongoing health battle.

“Jessica has been extremely supportive of Justin’s health and wellness,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly last month. “They’re both strong people, and they’re great at finding a good balance for both of their needs.
