After three awards shows, all in Los Angeles, Hollywood’s A-list is heading across the pond. Yes, it’s time for the BAFTAs, the annual ceremony that honors the best in British and international cinema. Presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the BAFTAs are once again taking place at Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre tonight, Feb. 22, but with a new host. This year, Alan Cumming is taking over duties from David Tennant, who hosted the ceremony for the past two years.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another netted the most nominations at 14, followed by Ryan Coogler’s Sinners with 13 and Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet and Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, tied with 11 nods each. Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet and Michael B. Jordan are all up for Best Actor, while Kate Hudson, Jessie Buckley and Emma Stone are among the stars nominated for Best Actress. Along with the celeb-studded roster of nominees, the slate of presenters is equally impressive, including Aaron Pierre, Aimee Lou Wood, Alicia Vikander, Alia Bhatt, Bryan Cranston, Cillian Murphy, David Jonsson, Delroy Lindo, Emily Watson, Erin Doherty, Ethan Hawke, Gillian Anderson, Glenn Close, Hannah Waddingham, Karen Gillan, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, Kerry Washington, Little Simz, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Caton, Milly Alcock, Minnie Driver, Monica Bellucci, Noah Jupe, Olivia Cooke, Patrick Dempsey, Regé-Jean Page, Riz Ahmed, Sadie Sink, Stellan Skarsgård, Stormzy and Warwick Davis.

But before the best and brightest in film head into Royal Festival Hall, they’ll walk the always-glamorous BAFTAs red carpet in their most dazzling sartorial ensembles. Last year’s red carpet did not disappoint, with highlights including Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton, Mikey Madison in Prada, Monica Barbaro in Armani Privé and Lupita Nyong’o in Chanel—all custom, of course. So let’s get ready for the 2026 iteration—below, see all the best and most exciting fashion moments from this year’s BAFTAs red carpet.

  • Read Emmanuel Macron’s Heartfelt Tribute to Pharrell Williams

    [ad_1]

He looked back at every highlight of Pharrell’s career, from the Neptunes to hits produced for Jay-Z and Britney Spears, including, of course, the hit song “Happy,” which elevated the singer to international stardom. “The irresistible lyrics of this soundtrack, composed for Despicable Me, a movie made from a French studio, travelled far beyond cinema screens,” Macron said. “Its rhythm spread and you became the man who made the world dance in unison.”

“But Pharrell,” he continued, “with you, creation is never confined to a single art.”

On February 4, 2023, fashion house Louis Vuitton shook up the fashion world with the announcement that Pharrell was to become artistic director of its men’s collections.

Vuitton selected Pharrell “for your irreverence, your boundless creativity, and your total commitment. And from the very first year, you delivered with a spectacular debut collection, unveiled during a landmark show on the Pont Neuf, transformed for the occasion into a golden stage,” Macron said. “The world discovered the silhouettes you had imagined: the Louis Vuitton Damier reinterpreted as bold pixelated camouflage, boldly paired with denim, tailoring, or with unexpected hats and accessories.”

It was, Macron said, “a manifesto show, in your own image, expressing a vision of masculinity liberated from clichés. And you went even further at UNESCO in 2024, where your new collection carried a universal message—a call for unity among humankind, beneath the United Nations flags at the Place de Fontenoy.”

The tribute was also an opportunity to talk about Pharrell’s connection with contemporary art, into which he continues to infuse historical references, pop culture, and a sense of performance: “Moving from musician to exhibition curator might have made others hesitate. But not you. You didn’t shy away from experimenting—not even when it meant being cast in a mold, remaining immobile for hours, breathing through a straw, so that Daniel Arsham could create a sculpture in your likeness. After all, you always sought to learn from the very best, and to create alongside them.”

Macron, who recalled Williams’ participation in the Pièces Jaunes concert with his wife Brigitte Macron, didn’t shy away from commenting on the rigorous lifestyle and discipline of the artist.

“Dear Pharrell, listing all your achievements would be impossible: you have the rare ability to live a thousand passions within a single lifetime,” he said. “You managed to do so because you are incredibly talented, but also thanks to your steadfast discipline that could intimidate even an Olympic athlete. A five a.m. wake-up call. Five hundred sit-ups. Meditation. A hot bath, a cold shower—and sometimes even a burst of songwriting in the bathroom itself.”

Beyond routine, however, is something less tangible, he said. “Behind the brilliance of your success lies this daily rigor. But also a guiding principle to which you remain deeply faithful: gratitude. Gratitude for the journey that brought you here, allowing you, despite worldwide recognition, to remain the humble, witty, and deeply human creator so admired by your teams.”

  • Victoria Beckham Confesses to a Fashion Faux Pas

    [ad_1]

Fake it until you make it. This mantra, popularized by the culture of personal development on social media, was already being applied by Victoria Beckham in the early 2000s. This Wednesday, in an interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the designer was as comfortable as she was amused. On the pink armchair, the former Spice Girl sets herself free: each anecdote is more sincere, more piquant, more unexpected than the last.

Commenting on archival photos selected by the host, the Englishwoman paused on a photo of herself with husband David Beckham in the streets of London. In it, she wears an immaculate outfit and a Louis Vuitton bag that matches perfectly… or almost perfectly.

“It wasn’t a real Louis Vuitton bag,” she confessed. “We were shopping on Bond Street, and it was a fake.”

Marc Jacobs, the house’s artistic director at the time, contacted me after seeing the photo. He said, ‘I’ll send you a real one.’” Mischievously, she concluded with a pun on her long-ago nickname: “Not as posh as you think, Alex. Not all the time.”

Who could have imagined that Victoria’s bag was a counterfeit? At the time, no one would have dared. She was a Spice Girl, the wife of the world’s most famous footballer—the epitome of luxury and status. The story, then, reminds us that how people perceive us is often a question of looks, confidence, and what you project.

In the end, the anecdote speaks volumes about Victoria’s trajectory. By wearing the fake, she ended up invoking the real—and it worked. Since then, Victoria Beckham has built an empire at the helm of one of Britain’s most respected fashion houses. It seems almost unreal to think that the accomplished businesswoman she has become once felt the need for a fake bag to exist in conversation. And if we had to sum up her career, another mantra might be: Trust the process.

  • How Renate Reinsve Chose Her Look for the 2025 Academy Museum Gala

    [ad_1]

Can you tell me about your look tonight? What drew you to it?
What drew me to this look was the sleek lines, the masculine and the feminine together. I love strong lines in outfits.

Of your past characters, whose closet would you steal?
I think Ingrid from A Different Man had some great suits I would loved to steal, but I ended up getting a lot of Julie’s wardrobe from The Worst Person In The World, still have those.

    PARKER BURR

What film has most informed your sense of style?
I think my style has developed a lot working with [costume designer] Karla Welch and Louis Vuitton. I grew up seeing a mix of style from Twin Peaks and MTV, I think that combo has stuck with me.

What do you like to do in L.A. in your free time?
I love the nature around L.A., and always trying to find good coffee. Also you have the sun here, trying to get some of that before going back to Oslo in winter.

Recently, the longtime Louis Vuitton ambassador wore one of our favorite winter staples—the camel coat—over chic LV separates to an appearance on Good Morning America in NYC. Primed for the frigid winter weather, Stone’s wool coat and suede boots added both warmth and tonal variety to her otherwise simple button-down shirt and midi skirt.

Taylor Swift Has Been Wearing These Fall Boots Since 2016—Shop 14 Similar Pairs

    [ad_1]

Finding a good pair of boots that you can wear again and again, year after year, and trend after trend, is harder than you might think. For starters, boots aren’t built like they once were, and if you live in a place with varying climates throughout the year, it’s difficult to keep your footwear from getting destroyed in the snow, slush, rain, and beyond. So, when you find a pair that lasts, it’s practically girl code that you have to share it, and of all the celebs I know of, no one seems as loyal to girl code as Taylor Swift.

On the Sunday evening following their appearance together at SNL‘s after party, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were spotted hand-in-hand again, this time after dinner at Waverly Inn in the West Village. For the date, Swift wore a sheer, floral-patterned Jean Paul Gaultier tee with a Balenciaga bustier underneath and a leather miniskirt, accessorizing with a Roger Vivier handbag in the color of spring 2024, according to the runways. On her feet? The Louis Vuitton ankle boots she’s had since 2016, specifically during her iconic Bleachella era.

The last time we spotted the exact boots on Swift was in May of 2016, a month after she debuted her bleach-blonde bob at Coachella, when she was seen leaving Anna Wintour’s West Village apartment in a Louis Vuitton plaid dress and the brand’s Star Trail Ankle Boots, variations of which have also been worn by the likes of Selena Gomez and Taylor Hill. To match her grungey new ‘do, she wore a gray-and-black plaid Louis Vuitton midi dress from the brand’s pre-fall 2016 collection and a cropped leather jacket. Her lace up, lug-soled boots were equally appropriate for the singer’s chosen aesthetic at the time.

Below, shop 14 pairs of look-a-like boots to the ones Taylor Swift’s kept in her closet for the last seven years.

Taylor Swift’s athletic-inspired style is here to stay, and her latest appearance is further proof. On Oct. 3, the singer and friend Keleigh Teller arrived at a New York City studio with Swift in the most casual ensemble. For an average off-duty day, she wore a Shania Twain graphic tee from Daydreamer LA, black biker shorts, green ruffle socks, and the Ganni x New Balance 1906R sneakers, which are still available to shop. Her outfit was highly reminiscent of Princess Diana’s timeless gym style (think: her biker shorts era in the ’90s), and Swift capped things off with a Still Here New York dad cap, a Louis Vuitton camera box bag, and black sunglasses.

Not long ago, Swift turned to sporty clothing as a sartorial go-to. In May, she gave us a glimpse into this aesthetic with an NYU sweatshirt, pleated miniskirt, and sneakers from The Row for date night with then-boyfriend Matt Healy, and she also wore a Free People miniskirt and striped button-down in June.

More recently, the 33-year-old’s love for the laid-back style category has seemingly heightened since making things official with her new alleged beau, Travis Kelce. On Sept. 24, Swift supported the NFL star at his game in a Chiefs windbreaker, which she layered over a white cropped tank top by Dôen and teamed with Ksubi distressed denim shorts and a pair of red-and-white New Balance 550 sneakers. She attended another Chiefs game on Sunday, Oct. 1 in a black long-sleeved crewneck, Area embellished cutoffs, and Christian Louboutin knee-high boots, putting a high-end twist on your average game-day outfit.

As the “Shake It Off” singer continues to make her stylish mark, shop similar versions of her Shania Twain shirt ahead.

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Zendaya has returned to the front row at Paris Fashion Week, and in the most iconic way possible. On Oct. 2, the 27-year-old stepped out in the fashion capital in a vintage Louis Vuitton outfit that featured a cropped, puff-sleeved gold blouse with an empire waist and the brand’s signature multicolored Theda monogram bag, both worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell in a spring/summer 2004 campaign shot by Mert Atlas and Marcus Pigot. In the editorial, Campbell posed in the same blouse with matching gold underwear and tortoiseshell wedges from the 2004 collection, which was designed by Marc Jacobs.

Meanwhile, Zendaya rocked the timeless pieces with Levi’s jeans and white heeled sandals, brilliantly styled by her longtime stylist, Image Architect Law Roach. “Giving a little @naomi this Monday afternoon. Top and bag from @louisvuitton SS 2004,” he captioned his video of Zendaya playfully posing in an elevator.

The Emmy award-winning actress’s latest appearance further proves her sartorial supremacy. Thanks to Roach, Zendaya has stunned in countless vintage designer looks throughout her impeccable style evolution. In February, the young star conquered the NAACP Image Awards stage in a white two-piece skirt set from Prada’s spring 1993 collection. She also stunned on the 2022 Time100 Gala carpet in a vintage, triangular-cut Bob Mackie gown. Furthermore, she wore a Valentino black-and-white strapless dress for a “Euphoria” red carpet event, which Linda Evangelista debuted on the brand’s spring 1992 runway, along with Beyoncé’s first BET Awards dress from Versace‘s spring/summer 2003 collection.

Apart from her affinity for archival pieces, Roach and Zendaya’s 12-year partnership has produced many legendary style moments that have granted Zendaya “fashion icon” status. Most recently, she appeared on Elle’s September 2023 cover in a Louis Vuitton black minidress with more than 30 cutouts and conquered the braless trend in a plunging sequined set at the designer’s spring 2024 Men’s show in June.

Ahead, keep scrolling to shop similar pieces from Zendaya’s classic vintage off-duty outfit.

As for celebrity attendees, the list reads like a who’s who in Hollywood: Zendaya, Cate Blanchett, Pharrell Williams, Emma Chamberlain, Ana de Armas, Cynthia Erivo, Gemma Chan, and Chloë Grace Moretz were among the celebrities sitting front row. Taylor Swift is starting football season in style. On Sept. 24, the 33-year-old singer continued her Eras tour break with a game day at Arrowhead Stadium as she watched the Chicago Bears play against the Kansas City Chiefs, where her rumored beau Travis Kelce plays as a tight end. For the casual occasion, Swift showed her support of the Chiefs with a red, black, and white ensemble featuring a windbreaker with the team’s logo from New Era Cap, a white cropped tank from Dôen, and Ksubi distressed denim shorts. She finished the look with classic New Balance 550 sneakers, a tan corduroy cap from Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton’s signature camera box bag, diamond crescent earrings from Jacquie Aiche, and a cherry red lip.

Outside of her glamorous tour costumes that consist of tulle ballgowns and Roberto Cavalli catsuits, the “Fearless” singer has recently adopted a rather laidback style that manages to leave her Swiftie fan base in a frenzy every time. Last week, Swift wore a Reformation knit dress and boots combo for a dinner date with friend Sophie Turner. Throughout the summer, she gave us a glimpse into this new, sportier era on multiple occasions, flaunting everything from a Free People pleated miniskirt and striped button-up shirt to a purple-and-gray NYU sweatshirt and tennis skirt for date night with ex-boyfriend Matty Healy back in May.

Swift’s red carpet fashion is just as awe-inspiring for fans. Most recently, she commanded the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet in a black, floor-length Versace dress that had Swifties speculating about the release of her highly-anticipated re-recorded “Reputation” album. She also nodded to her “Lavender Haze” video release at the Grammys earlier this year in a midnight-blue embellished Roberto Cavalli two-piece set.

If you’re also in your casual era like Swift, keep scrolling to shop her exact New Balance sneakers, along with other pieces from her outfit at the Kansas City Chiefs game.

  • Louis Vuitton’s Newest It Bag Has Arrived—and Cate Blanchett Already Owns It

Louis Vuitton’s Newest It Bag Has Arrived—and Cate Blanchett Already Owns It

    [ad_1]

When you’ve worked in fashion as long as I have, you know to trust your instinct that something will hit the big time. At first glimpse of Louis Vuitton‘s newest handbag launch, my fashion editor senses were immediately tingling. Never mind the fact that Cate Blanchett and Hoyeon already own the hot-off-the-press bag—the sophisticated design alone makes it worthy of this season’s most coveted accessory award.

Louis Vuitton’s new GO-14 bag is actually a relaunch of a bag first shown at Nicolas Ghesquière’s October 2014 runway show, hence the name. The bag features a padded crisscross pattern called malletage, which is inspired by the padded interior of Louis Vuitton’s traditional trunks. The bag is a perfect representation of the house’s commitment to artistry. “The creative process requires more than 20 different steps, including the utmost meticulousness on the patina to ensure a satin or toasted finish and to perfect the color’s subtle gradations,” the press release stated. How’s that for attention to detail? Scroll down to see how Cate Blanchett styled the bag and shop it for yourself.

9 Designer Bags Everyone Has Been Wearing Lately

    [ad_1]

Like any other subcategory of fashion trends, It bags can come and go faster than you can text your friends to ask them what they think of your latest find. One day, something is all over your feed, and the next day, it’s gone. *Sometimes* that same item will either stick around much longer than anticipated or pop back up when you least expect it—even if it’s years later. Knowing which will do what is probably 10% skill and 90% luck, but it’s a game we love to play nonetheless.

With that, I’ve rounded up the nine designer purses that are on the radars of practically every celeb, influencer, editor, and fashion person lately. From newer styles by Prada and Bottega Veneta to older (and even older) picks from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, below are those pieces that the fashion set just can’t get enough of this summer, and my guess is that they’ll keep wearing them into fall too. To see the bags that made the cut, simply keep scrolling.

  • The 10 Most Popular Louis Vuitton Bags of All Time

The 10 Most Popular Louis Vuitton Bags of All Time

    [ad_1]

As evidenced by price alone, designer handbags are for life. Like a classic black blazer or a tried-and-true camel trench, a designer bag is a wardrobe staple that’s immune to industry trends.

Of course, this reality should be taken into account when selecting your new prized possession. First and foremost, it’s important to consider the intended use. For example, are you looking for a smaller weekend bag or a larger everyday bag that can house all of your essentials? Intention aside, you should see yourself using this bag for the next decade (and beyond). Think about which print, style, and colors will age well, both from a trend perspective and a personal style perspective.

Of course, a classic Louis Vuitton bag is a foolproof option. The iconic French fashion house has been designing time-honored trunks and handbags since the late 19th century. Owning a classic Louis Vuitton bag is like owning a piece of fashion history. If you’re set on the timeless French brand, we support your decision. Below, continue your research and read up on the most popular Louis Vuitton bags of all time.

  • “It Changed My Life”: Pharrell Williams on His New Role and First Collection for Louis Vuitton

“It Changed My Life”: Pharrell Williams on His New Role and First Collection for Louis Vuitton

    [ad_1]

“I came into this knowing that I wanted to make some serious indelible marks,” Pharrell Williams tells Vanity Fair of his role as men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton. On Tuesday, the Grammy Award–winner debuted his highly anticipated first collection in his newly appointed position. The decision, announced earlier this year on Valentine’s Day, sent the fashion industry into a spiral with a plethora of questions: Why Williams—best known for his music career—and not an established designer? Would he have what it takes? Does celebrity mean more than talent?

    Courtesy of Louis Vuitton

With Paris as the backdrop, a carefully selected cast of models, orchestra, and the Voices of Fire choir took the main stage across the Pont Neuf (the oldest standing bridge across the Seine River), with a runway covered in the iconic Damier pattern that Williams chose to highlight as the key component in his new collection. “I know the monogram is historically a very dominant force within the house. I had the Bastille bag in Damier, I had shoes and boots in Damier. I saw it as an opportunity. The fact that it has the chessboard setup, we could use the grid as a platform to play with different artistic techniques,” shares Williams.

Choosing to pixelate the Damier, Williams collaborated with ET Artist, who treated the blocks like eight-bit Atari graphics, including pixelated images of Pont Neuf. From there, the Damoflage was born, seen in three hues across accessories, workwear, indigo denim, pajama silhouettes, and in the intarsia of knitwear and furs. Williams also enlisted artist Henry Taylor to create artwork of figures embroidered on Alma bags.

For his debut, Williams focused on stylish details that trumpeted the return of cool, with pearl-adorned sunglasses, band-collared tunics, workwear remixes on jackets reminiscent of the traditional Parisian women’s wardrobe, box-pleat shorts juxtaposed with suits, glazed penny loafers, flower pendants, nubuck bowling shoes, and magnified shearling slippers in monogram intarsia with a bear’s footprint on the bottom. All part of the signature touches that set his collection apart.

  • The $28 Nordstrom Top I’m Buying to Recreate Zendaya’s Italian Vacation Look

The $28 Nordstrom Top I’m Buying to Recreate Zendaya’s Italian Vacation Look

    [ad_1]

At this point, Zendaya’s learned a thing or two about packing for chic destinations. According to the Euphoria actress’s Instagram alone, the first half of 2023 has already seen her touch down in Paris, Mumbai, and Venice, all three of which served as backdrops for impeccable outfits (thanks, Law Roach!). And while her latest OOO ensemble doesn’t include a Bulgari Serpenti necklace or custom, vintage-inspired Prada, it still more than proves my point that she’s an expert in getting dressed in places that are far from home.

While out to dinner with friends in Rome, where she spent the earlier part of the week celebrating the opening of the Bulgari Hotel in the Italian capital (in a crystal-mesh tank top no less), Zendaya was spotted wearing a ’90s-inspired tube top from the Australian brand Venroy with super low-rise, belted trousers, loafers, and a Louis Vuitton tote bag from the brand’s recent collaboration with artist Yayoi Kusama. Simple, travel-friendly, and chic in every city, her look managed to check off every last one of our vacation-wardrobe requirements—and then some.

Sadly, the black version of her Venroy top is no longer available, though luck’s still on our side as plenty of similar alts are just waiting to be snatched up and used to recreate this ‘fit. Below, check out the $28 Topshop top that I’m planning on snagging for that exact reason and more tube tops to shop this summer.
