Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway fans were in stitches as Lorraine Kelly took part in tonight’s Get Out Of Me Ear.

The segment, which saw Lorraine in John Lewis, was branded the “best undercover ever” by some fans!

Saturday Night Takeaway tonight: Lorraine Kelly goes undercover

Tonight’s edition of the show saw Lorraine make an appearance.

The Scottish star, host of her eponymous show, Lorraine, took part in an undercover prank, which saw her cause mayhem at a shopping centre.

“I can’t believe what I got away with,” Lorraine said at the start of the segment.

The 64-year-old was then shown going undercover in John Lewis.

After some funny conversations with strangers, in which she pretended to know them, Lorraine was shown trying on outfits with members of the public.

However, as the segment went on, Lorraine’s behaviour got more and more extreme (thanks to Ant and Dec, of course).

    Lorraine’s hilarious Undercover segment

At one point during the segment, Lorraine was told by Ant and Dec to start eating a bowl of cereal in the middle of the shop.

The Geordie duo then instructed the star to tip the lot on the shop floor! Lorraine did so, before pretending that someone else had done it.

Lorraine also drank champagne from a shoe and stripped a mannequin.

The segment ended with Lorraine packing a big wash bag with clothes, before leaving the store and playing the bagpipes up the escalator.

However, once she got to the top of the escalator, Ant and Dec told her to empty the bag and throw the clothes over the balcony onto the shop floor.

“See you on the telly! Bye, losers!” Lorraine shouted as baffled shop staff and security watched her hilarious exit.

Fans of the show were full of praise for the segment – and for Lorraine – once it had finished. Many took to Twitter to gush over it.

“Lorraine was brilliant,” one fan tweeted. “What a riot that was #SaturdayNightTakeaway. Everyone in that shopping mall must have thought you’d lost your marbles. The best Get Out of Me Ear EVER Lorraine you crazy lady,” another then said.

“Gotta say, Lorraine Kelly was brilliant, had me crying with laughter…,” a third wrote.

“Alright Lorraine, that was pretty iconic,” another said. “One of the best Get Out Of My Ear Pranks Ever! Loved that from Lorraine,” a fifth gushed.

“That was absolutely top tier tv what a good sport she was,” another added.

    [ad_1]

Fans of The Masked Singer were right to think that Lorraine Kelly was Owl as the ITV star was unmasked during tonight’s (January 27) episode.

The show saw the Scottish presenter unveiled during series five’s fifth episode. Owl landed themselves in the bottom two alongside Eiffel Tower, whom the panel chose to save.

For the panel’s final guesses, they went with the likes of Jo Whiley, Gabby Logan, Emily Atack, Emily Blunt, and Alex Scott.

    Masked Singer: Owl revealed

Despite guessing wrong, Davina McCall was enthusiastic when Owl’s head was taken off, shouting, “YES LORRAINE!”

Lorraine called out Mo Gilligan after he said he would only wear his pants if it wasn’t Alex Scott.

Taking off his shoes and jacket, the comedian pretended to strip while the audience shouted, “Take it off.”

When asked by host Joel Dommett if she had enjoyed her time on the show, Lorraine expressed that she “loved being Owl.”

She added: “I’ve loved every single second, the show is so joyful.”

Lorraine explained that she had never sung in front of an audience before taking part in the show, stating that it was “amazing to do that.”

    Fans react to Owl’s unmasking

“Did you guess?? Yep – I was OWL on The Masked Singer – what fun !” Lorraine wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, after her unmasking. “Thanks to all the team for such a happy time – loved it so much.”

Since the beginning of the competition, fans were confident Lorraine was singing underneath the costume.

“I CALLED IT!! I said week one it was Lorraine Kelly,” one user wrote.

“Knew it was you from the start. Brilliant,” another person shared.

“Knew from week one. Your voice was obvious when singing,” a third user remarked.

“Yes, I guessed from the first performance,” a fourth shared.

Despite competition on the same series, Lorraine will serve as a guest judge during one of the upcoming episodes.

Lorraine Kelly addresses Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s This Morning exits as she admits she ‘misses them’

    [ad_1]

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby both stepped down from This Morning last year after hosting the show together for over a decade.

Phil left ITV completely in May 2023 after admitting to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague. In October, Holly decided to step away from the show following all the drama. She then took a three-month TV break to be with her family.

Now, their former ITV daytime colleague Lorraine Kelly has weighed in on their exits as she admitted she misses them.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby news

Speaking to Woman & Home in a new interview, Lorraine said: “If you’d told me at the start of [last] year that Holly [Willoughby] and Phil [Schofield] wouldn’t be [on This Morning], I wouldn’t have believed you. But you know what? The show will continue. She’ll be fine. He’ll be fine. Eventually. It will all be OK.”

They’re good people. I miss them.

Lorraine, who hosts her morning show before This Morning airs, added: “They’re good people. I miss them. They’re smashing, they made me laugh a lot and every time I was on This Morning as a guest, they were a delight.

“When Rosie and I went on The Cube, Phillip said he’d never laughed so much in his life because we were so hopeless at task one, then got really good.”

Last August, Lorraine opened up about Phil’s exit from TV.

When asked if she had given Holly any advice in the wake of the crisis following Phil’s departure, Lorraine told New magazine at the time: “No, no, honestly, we are so separate.

“And I haven’t been in [at work], for, gosh, you know, that’s the first time I’ve thought about work. But no, we’re just getting on with it. Honestly, I can’t really say any more than that.”

Holly made her return to TV earlier this month for the new series of Dancing On Ice.

    Holly’s return to TV

She now hosts the skating show with Stephen Mulhern. According to reports, Phil ‘snubbed’ Holly’s TV comeback as he adapts to his new “quiet” life.

A source claimed to The Sun: “Phil is still bruised by the whole Holly falling-out and the way it was played out publicly. He still can’t bring himself to watch This Morning and even listening to the theme tune is deeply triggering.

“It would seem unlikely he is avidly tuning in to watch Holly’s return to TV. Phil just wants to move on and live a quiet life away from the spotlight whilst he tries to rebuild.”

  • Lorraine Kelly suffers distressing memories of Lockerbie bombing: ‘I still see the bodies’

Lorraine Kelly suffers distressing memories of Lockerbie bombing: ‘I still see the bodies’

    [ad_1]

Lorraine Kelly was one of the first TV reporters to witness the terrible aftermath of the Lockerbie bombing in December 1988.

All 259 people on board Pan Am Flight 103, along with 11 people on the ground, died when the plane exploded in mid-air. It has been described as Europe’s deadliest terror attack.

Nearly 35 years on, Lorraine returns to the small Scottish border town to discover how residents have coped.

But even though her new documentary airs on ITV this evening, Lorraine has shared her distressing memories of the air disaster on several occasions over the years.

    Lorraine Kelly on Lockerbie

A few years ago, Lorraine chillingly recalled how she still ‘saw the bodies’ of victims over three decades on from the atrocity.

Lorraine admitted at the time that what she saw as she reported on the horrors have played over and over in her mind.

She reportedly said in January 2019: “I do sometimes get flashbacks. I still see the bodies.”

    ‘It was terrible, awful’

Lorraine also explained how she came to be among the first journalists at the scene after receiving a police tip-off.

“We got right up to the nose of the plane in the field. We were there before the police had put barriers up,” she said.

There were lots of bodies, some of them were still in their seats.

The presenter went on: “It was terrible. There were lots of bodies, some of them were still in their seats. It was awful.”

Lorraine has also previously indicated she believes her coverage had a decisive effect on the course of her career.

It has been reported her work at the time led to her position with TV-am.

She noted, almost ruefully: “The fact that dreadful, horrendous, terrorist atrocity resulted in me getting one of the best jobs ever.”
