  • Turin Brakes Live at St Luke’s in Glasgow!

    Glasgow warmly welcomed English band, Turin Brakes, into their city on Friday, November 21st. Bringing their latest release, Spacehopper, to Scotland, they continue to prove that 24 years down the line and 10 studio albums later, they aren’t planning on slowing down anytime soon!

    Opening the night was singer-songwriter Tom Speight. Armed with his acoustic guitar and his Scottish Rugby shirt, the night was already set up to be unforgettable.

    As it finally reached stage time, fans, many of whom were dressed in both old and new band merch, were waiting in suspense. Whether that be at the barrier or on the balcony, the buzz for this band was hard to miss. 

    Turin Brakes took to the stage at 8:30 pm and had a set packed full of fresh material and deep dives into their older tracks. The set presented us with an insight into just how much work this band has produced over the years and left us completely immersed in their melodic world of folk rock. Bassist, Eddie Myer, even stated early on that “This is where the real music is! F*ck AI!”

    Opening with track two off their 10th studio album, ‘Spacehopper’, ‘Pays to Be Paranoid’ kicked us off with an energetic start and built an atmosphere of reverence and anticipation to carry us through the night. 

    A variety of tracks and genres were played throughout the evening, woven into a carefully built setlist with each track complementing the other. Other songs, such as ‘We Were Here,’ which was acoustically composed, contrasted to higher energy songs like ‘What’s Underneath.’ 

    Closing with a classic, ‘isolation,’ after a night of chanting, banter, raw acoustic moments, and hair-raising guitar riffs, the band left the stage no doubt feeling nothing but uplifted by the love from the Glasgow crowd. It is clear that Turin Brakes will always be welcomed back!

  • Bastille Brings Songs From The First 15 Years to the O2 Arena In London

    Bastille’s London show at the O2 Arena marked the finale of their From All Sides tour. Fans poured in, wrapped in merch and carrying memories from years of Bastille’s music, some experiencing the band live for the very first time, and they couldn’t have picked a more special night to do so.

    The show opened with two fantastic support acts: Bradley Simpson and Sofia Camara. Both brought incredible energy into the arena. Brad, with his effortless humour, joking about turning 30 and asking the crowd whether life gets any better (the resounding answer: no), and calling his sister so that the whole arena could congratulate her on having a baby! Sofia followed with her heartfelt, relatable songs that had the entire front row belting out their heartbreak.

    Bastille

    When Bastille started with ‘Things We Lost in the Fire,’ we instantly knew we were in for a deeply nostalgic night. One of the most exciting parts of this tour has been their rotating setlist. Each show highlights different moments from their 15-year catalogue, so several songs came as complete surprises, and we absolutely love that idea! Dan joked about how challenging it was to choose the right tracks for each night, but classics like ‘Oblivion’ or ‘Blame’ were definitely good choices for the London show.

    The stage setup was captivating, with three LED panels suspended above the band, displaying striking visuals and lyrics throughout the performance. The clean, cinematic design gave the show that unmistakably iconic Bastille look with moody colours and bold typography.

    Bastille also welcomed several guest musicians throughout the show. Myles Smith, a pop-folk singer-songwriter, joined them for a beautiful performance of ‘Flaws.’ Ruti Olajugbagbe, winner of The Voice UK 2018, took the stage to perform their new track ‘Save My Soul,’ which was released on Friday, November 21st. They also welcomed saxophonist John Rittipo Moore, whose warm, soulful sound added an entirely new depth to the set.

    The show couldn’t have ended any other way than with their biggest hit, ‘Pompeii.’ Hearing the whole arena sing, “But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?” was the perfect conclusion to a night that carried us through the years of Bastille being the soundtrack to our lives. The evening was filled with memories and nostalgia, leaving us even more excited for the future of the band.

  • The Last Dinner Party Live From The Pyre in Edinburgh

    Monday evening brought spectacles of something that resembled scenes straight from the theatre. With hundreds of fans adorned in flowing skirts, corsets, and lace, a kaleidoscope of city lights and the cold embrace of Scottish winter, they looked straight From The Pyre. 

    The Last Dinner Party took us on a journey of theatrics and bold storytelling at Edinburgh Corn Exchange. Warming up the stage for the group was Newcastle-formed band Imogen and The Knife. Fronted by Imogen Williams, the five-piece entranced us with deeply evocative lyricism and haunting melodies. This is following their debut EP ‘Some Kind of Love’ released in 2024. They have proven that there is no doubt that a promising future lies ahead.

    From the grand opening to the spirited conclusion, The Last Dinner Party had us completely immersed in a world of fantasy, gothic prose, and mythology. Opening with track one on their album, ‘Angus Dei,’ it was evident from the start that the night would be one to remember.

    As the band continued their way through the set, reaching memorable moments such as the magical crescendo of ‘Women is a Tree,’ whereby front woman, Abigail Morris, stated to her fellow band mates, “Let’s get choral,” and they gathered to create an ensemble which felt like you walked straight into the thriller series, ‘Yellow Jackets.’

    As well as playing through the entirety of their latest album, the band also made time for some of their older music and fan favourites. ‘Gjuha,’ led and written by keyboardist and vocalist, Aurora Nishevci, stated that she has come to realise she wrote the song about “the importance of language” and “yearning for connections, place, culture, and people you’ve been removed from.” And that “language is a beautiful thing.”

    Moving forward, we flowed into some more emotionally deep cuts, such as album single ‘The Scythe,’ to ‘Sail Away,’ which had many in the crowd feeling moved. However, the pace was swiftly picked back up with the rage of ‘My Lady of Mercy.’ 

    Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, though.  Following an evening packed with striking guitar solos courtesy of Emily Roberts, killer baselines by Georgia Davies, and captivating vocals by Lizzie Mayland, Aurora began to play the distinct notes of lead single ‘This is The Killer Speaking’ and Abigail encouraged the crowd to dance, swearing that she would stop singing if she didn’t see everyone dancing.

    The group was met with endless praise from the crowd and left everyone feeling uplifted with memories to last a lifetime. It is sufficient to say The Last Dinner Party will always be welcomed back to Scotland with open arms.

  • 21st Century Fiction by The Amazons Comes Alive at London’s Roundhouse

    The Amazons brought their latest tour to London this October, filling the Roundhouse with crashing drums, roaring guitars, and the kind of volume that makes your chest vibrate. The band is currently on the road following the release of their new album 21st Century Fiction, which came out in May.

    The group takes their music seriously, and you can feel it in the energy they bring to the show. Every sound feels considered, and every member plays a clear part in shaping it. With three guitars layering different tones, a steady bass holding the rhythm, keys adding texture, and powerful drums, the sound felt big, alive, and completely theirs.

    They opened with ‘Joe Bought a Gun,’ stepping into deep red light that covered the stage. For a moment, all you could see were their silhouettes moving through the haze as the sound built around them. It was a bold and mysterious start that definitely caught the attention of everyone in the room. Even those who were seeing them live for the first time.

    What stood out throughout the night was how naturally The Amazons connect with their audience. After more than ten years of playing together, there’s an ease and authenticity to the way they perform. There was a moment during this concert when Matt Thomson spoke about wanting the band to feel free to create art that truly matters to them, and it’s clear that this honesty is what draws people in. Their songs strike a balance between emotion and energy that feels genuinely heartfelt. You can tell they really care about how their music makes people feel.

    The night came to an end with crowd favorites such as ‘Ultraviolet’ and ‘Stay With Me.’ It really was a gig that made us all lose our voices!

  • The Band CAMINO’s Tour ‘HasJustBegun’ And We Have All The Details

    The Nashville-based band, The Band CAMINO, embarked on The NeverAlways Tour at the beginning of October, which is named after their third and most recent album. NeverAlways was released in July, and it’s safe to say it has been playing in our house on a loop since then!

    Jeffery, Garrison, and Spencer never fail to amaze us when we see them live. From the tryhard era to now, TBC has done nothing but write songs about feelings and emotions we have, but make it fun to dance to. And being at a CAMINO concert feels the exact same way. You’re in a room with people who have experienced life, heartbreak, and joy the same way as you, with TBC’s music as the soundtrack.

    The NeverAlways Tour was nothing short of breathtaking. CAMINO sang some of our favorite deep-cuts like ‘Haunted,’ ‘2/14,’ and ‘What You Can’t Have,’ and then some of the more fun, upbeat songs like ‘I Think I Like You,’ and ‘1 Last Cigarette.’ The whole venue was jumping, screaming, and having the time of their lives. As were the boys.

    We were a little nervous about tonight. This is the biggest venue we’ve ever played.

    At the halfway point in the show, the band created a little living room session in the middle of the stage so they could slow down the show and sing some acoustic songs. As Spencer told, their little setup was supposed to be a mini replica of the same room they wrote and recorded NeverAlways back in Nashville. During their little acoustic set, they also sang a cover of Justin Bieber’s iconic song, ‘DAISIES.’ All we have to say about that is please release that as a single if you can… Or even just a TikTok cover version of it… We need the full thing somehow..…..

    NeverAlways, as an album, already feels like a reflection on growth, self-discovery, and the messy middle of life, and the live show brought those themes to life. Songs like ‘Baggy Jeans’ and ‘What You Can’t Have’ hit differently when you are surrounded by hundreds of people singing the words back. There were moments of pure joy, moments of collective tears, and so many moments of connection.

    To say that you don’t want to miss the Band CAMINO on this tour seems like an understatement, but it’s just the truth. If you’re looking for good music, fun vibes, and a little cry sesh, this is the place you want to be. Whether you’re a new fan or an old fan, the NeverAlways Tour has something for you!

    Sparkly outfits, boots, fringe, and dancing, what more could you want? We have all the buzz from the Conan Gray tour stop in Sugarland, TX!

    The night started with Maisie Peters, an English pop singer-songwriter. Maisie played many of her songs off her most recent album The Good Witch, which was released in 2023. The authentic and honest sound of Maisie’s set was a wonderful way to start off our night! During ‘History of Man,’ the lights shimmered around the venue alongside fans swaying their phone lights, creating a beautiful scenery. Maisie ended the night with ‘Lost The Breakup’ which had the entire crowd jumping and dancing. We loved dancing with you, Maisie!

    Conan Gray

    If Conan Gray is in town, we will always be buzzing in the crowd! Conan started the night off with ‘Fainted Love’ from his most recent album Found Heaven. This album is heavily inspired by 80s pop rock, which we were so excited to get to experience performed live! Immediately we are transported back in time with Conan‘s sound and his fashionable leather outfit.

    While watching Conan‘s electrifying performance, his fanbase can’t be unnoticed. In addition, so many fans had star-inspired makeup, fringe-incorporated leather jackets, and so many primary-colored theme outfits. We absolutely loved getting to see all of the unique outfits that were in the crowd!

    About halfway through the set, Conan played his most recent song release called ‘Holidays.’ This song is about the bittersweet feelings of moving away from a small town to better yourself but always missing the true and honest friendships that you made while living there. When Conan expressed those feelings, we can’t lie, we did shed a few tears.

    In conclusion, we highly recommend seeing Conan Gray on tour. Between Conan’s lyrically beautiful songs being played live and the energy of the crowd, we wish we could relive this moment again.
