Ariana Madix is seen screaming at Tom Sandoval in the first look at the upcoming 11th season of Vanderpump Rules.

As BravoCon kicked off on Friday, with much of the cast in attendance, the new season was teased, with James Kennedy, 31, literally drawing a line in the sand, Katie Maloney, 36, warning Scheana Shay, 38, about her potential friendship with Sandoval, 38, and Ariana accusing him of ruining her life and home, as sources confirmed if Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 28, was invited.

On November 3, just about eight months after she was caught having an affair with Sandoval behind the back of her then-friend and castmate, Ariana, TMZ revealed Raquel was not asked to attend BravoCon.

The outlet also noted that Raquel, who is currently living in Arizona, is still not in contact with her former co-stars, the majority of whom berated her earlier this year at the Pump Rules season 10 reunion.

With Raquel hundreds of miles away, Bravo debuted the trailer for Pump Rules, which began with a message that read, “What a difference one scandal makes,” and encouraged fans to “get pumped to pick up the pieces” of Scandoval.

The sneak peek then moves to Santa Monica Beach, where the cast is attempting to enjoy a day in the sun — as a group.

“That’s Ariana’s side. Sandoval’s side over here. Don’t go over the line!” James proclaims.

As the cast tries to coexist amid the falling out between Ariana and Sandoval, Lisa Vanderpump seems to be doing her best to convince the group to offer Sandoval forgiveness.

“To lose his best friend, his business is up the creek, everything has gone wrong in his life,” she explains, giving a nod to Tom Schwartz, 40, and their bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s, which took a hit after Sandoval and Raquel’s affair was exposed.

Meanwhile, Katie wants no such reunion between Sandoval and Scheana, whom she offers a stern warning.

“Scheana, if you’re gonna be friends with him, she’s gonna f*cking cut you off so think about your next move very carefully,” she states.

As for Ariana and Sandoval, they are seen in a scene together, during which she tells him, “[You] ruin my life, my home, and then attempt to kill my f*cking dog. My lawyer will be dealing with you!”

Vanderpump Rules season 11 will premiere in January 2024.

  • Tom Sandoval’s Redemption Tour Hits ‘The Masked Singer’

Tom Sandoval’s Redemption Tour Hits ‘The Masked Singer’

    [ad_1]

“I’m kind of starstruck right now,” the Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong said on Wednesday’s episode after the show’s latest celebrity contestant was revealed. “The biggest star in television right now is Tom Sandoval, like, for real.”

As ludicrous as that statement may sound, it might also be true. Networks have fully leaned into the Scandoval that catapulted Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules to series-high ratings and its first Emmy nominations earlier this year. And that’s meant putting Sandoval back onscreen—and giving him a platform for his public-redemption tour.

This week, Sandoval was unmasked as the Diver on this season of The Masked Singer after his performance of “I Ain’t Worried” by OneRepublic and a promo that rather blatantly pointed to the reality star. “Usually, I’m pretty pumped, but lately I’ve been lost in the abyss,” Sandoval said during his segment adding, “I might be the most hated creature in the ocean right now.” The creature’s first clue was a cardinal, which some have assumed represents Sandoval’s hometown of St. Louis. He added, “The more people talk about my business, the more I want them out of it,” a possible reference to TomTom and Schwartz & Sandy’s—his LA restaurants featured on Vanderpump.

Jeong and fellow judge Jenny McCarthy properly identified Sandoval as the Diver, while Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke floated Jersey Shore’s Pauly D as a possibility.

“This was so much fun. Being able to come out here and perform behind a mask, not being judged, and just being judged on my performance, it was really nice,” Sandoval said onstage after being unveiled. In the episode’s promo package, he also framed his participation in the series as a “healing experience” from his self-induced cheating scandal. “As a kid, I always wanted to be famous. I modeled, acted, and, of course, sang. I was always waiting to become a household name,” Scandoval said. “I just didn’t think it would be from everyone hating me.”

While no longer poking fun of himself on The Masked Singer, Sandoval is still seeking punishment as a contestant on season two of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. In this week’s episode, Sandoval spoke about his decision to join the brutal competition show, which asks celebrities to complete military-grade challenges. “One of the big reasons why I’m here is I let down my family and other people whose last name is Sandoval,” he said. “I tarnished the name, and I want to bring some honor back to that name.”

And after a disastrous podcast interview with Howie Mandel mid-scandal, Sandoval has also launched his own brand-rehabilitating pod, titled Everybody Loves Tom. (Jason Bader, the manager and drummer of Sandoval’s cover band who is married to the senior vice president of Mandel’s Alevy Productions, is featured on the podcast’s first episode.) In the first two installments, Sandoval has covered everything from his newfound sobriety to regrets over how he handled the end of his relationship.

Others in the Scandoval orbit are sticking in front of the camera until Vanderpump returns. Ariana Madix, Sandoval’s jilted ex, is competing on this season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Tom Schwartz, Sandoval’s business partner and best friend, graced Fox’s Stars on Mars and will hit the slopes of Bravo’s Winter House later this month, a series Sandoval was rumored to be dropped from at the height of backlash for his affair. His onetime paramour Rachel Leviss, meanwhile, has left the reality-TV game behind—for now.

  • Rachel Leviss Seemingly Quits ‘Vanderpump Rules’ With Help From Bethenny Frankel

Rachel Leviss Seemingly Quits ‘Vanderpump Rules’ With Help From Bethenny Frankel

    [ad_1]

Many entangled in the Vanderpump Rules/Scandoval web are returning to reality TV beyond the next season of Bravo’s juggernaut. Ariana Madix is headed to Dancing With the Stars with a bevy of endorsement deals in tow; Tom Sandoval will compete on Special Forces; and Tom Schwartz, having already completed a stint on Stars on Mars, has reportedly been spotted filming next season of Bravo’s Winter House.

But Rachel Leviss, the woman who engaged in the monthslong affair with Sandoval that reinvigorated Vanderpump, is taking the redemption road less traveled. She’s apparently going beyond simply quitting Vanderpump Rules: Leviss seems to be severing ties with Bravo altogether.

She indicated as much while appearing on Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast, where she discussed Frankel’s fight to unionize reality-TV stars. Leviss claimed that Bravo exploited her: “The network is running to the bank—like laughing, running to the bank with this scandal, and I haven’t seen a single penny,” she said on Wednesday’s episode, apparently the first installment of a multipart interview she did with Frankel. “I feel like it’s not fair. And I feel like a toddler saying ‘it’s not fair,’ but it really isn’t.”

She continued: “I feel like I’ve been portrayed as the ultimate villain. My mistakes that I’ve made on camera live on forever. And you mentioned something about the addiction of doing reality TV, and the way that they always dangle that carrot in front of you like, ‘Well, you need to tell your side of the story, otherwise it’s gonna be written for you.’ And that’s terrifying. So I almost went back just because of that.”

Though Frankel said she didn’t watch Vanderpump until after the scandal broke, her podcast gave Leviss an opportunity to take some accountability for her actions—something that was missing from this season’s much-hyped Vanderpump reunion episodes. “The concept of an affair hits home, hits really hard to a lot of people,” Leviss told Frankel. “So I think there was a lot of projection happening, a lot of emotions that came up for people. And unfortunately, I was the punching bag for a lot of that…. Looking back now, I can see that I was still healing from a relationship, from somebody who I thought I was going to marry,” she continued, referencing her broken engagement to fellow Vanderpump castmate James Kennedy. “And in ending that, I still haven’t healed yet.”

Though Vanderpump made it seem like she and Madix were “close friends,” Leviss said that they never spent time alone together off-camera—and that Madix and Sandoval’s nearly decade-long relationship had devolved into a mere business partnership by the time the affair began. “I would not be involved in this affair, secrecy type of situation if I thought that there was longevity in this relationship between Tom and Ariana,” Leviss said. “The people closest to them could see that their relationship hasn’t been what they portray on camera. And Tom always told me, like, they’re a brand, they’re an image.”

Leviss also suggested that some of her actions were, at least in part, influenced by money. As she explained to Frankel, “One of the things that producers also told me is that you get paid based off of your performance from the season prior. So that already set me up to want to perform well going into Season 10…. And I took direction well.” At one point Frankel said, “It’s my understanding that you get paid in a year less than my interns get paid.” But sources with knowledge of the situation told TMZ that Leviss received more than $350,000, or almost $20,000 per episode, for her work on Vanderpump last season. (Vanity Fair has reached out to Bravo for comment.)

Leviss, who changed her name to Raquel in the first grade because “there were a few other Rachels in my class and I wanted to be special,” has since reverted to her given moniker. “I feel like most of my life, I’ve been afraid. I’ve struggled with social anxiety; I’ve struggled with judgment from other people. So having a fear of vulnerability makes sense,” Leviss told Frankel. “So I’m really just trying to come back to my roots, and I am introducing myself as Rachel.”

  • From Medieval France, Lisa Vanderpump Reflects on a Very Scandalous Spring

From Medieval France, Lisa Vanderpump Reflects on a Very Scandalous Spring

    [ad_1]

The shocking revelation of Tom Sandoval’s infidelity in the 10th season of Vanderpump Rules—with his girlfriend’s best friend, after nearly a decade of dating, while she was grieving the deaths of her dog and grandmother—had nothing to do with Lisa Vanderpump. However, as the drama wore on, some fans and cast members questioned how the show’s namesake had handled some aspects of the #Scandoval fallout; one critic even dared wonder if the show had outgrown its creator.

But Vanderpump’s season finale—which aired before a screeching trio of expletive-ridden reunion episodes—proved how very necessary Vanderpump remains, as least to the so-called poo-poo heads she hired. It’s during face time with the Vanderpump Rules boss, and on her soothingly overstuffed sofa, that Ariana Madix sees her angry façade finally crumple, and that Sandoval later claws his unnerving white fingernails over his face in something resembling agony. Vanderpump hired these two people to mix cocktails in her restaurant over a decade ago. But in the years since, she’s cast them, molded and mothered them, and even financed their dreams. She’s done something similar for the show’s fans as well: Who else but Vanderpump can we thank for distracting us from our tiny lives on a burning planet for 20-odd episodes a season?

And so, ahead of a “Secrets Revealed” episode of Vanderpump Rules that will close the season at long last, Vanderpump called VF from the medieval-fortress city of Carcassonne, in the South of France, where she’s currently plotting her recently announced Hulu series, Vanderpump Villa. The new show will again follow a group of her staff, this time as they “navigate every extravagant desire of their well-to-do guests” at her French villa—but Vanderpump promises it will have a vibe different from that of Vanderpump Rules and its West Hollywood crew’s televised travails. “We’ve been super busy, but I like to work. I would rather do that than sit by a pool. Mind you, a glass of rosé has been in my hand,” she says, with her elegant little London chuckle. “But I can do both. I’ll take a vacation later this year. Make hay while the sun shines, eh?”

Vanity Fair: How has #Scandoval spring been for you? Were you surprised by the giant reaction, from New York Times explainers to global watch parties?

Lisa Vanderpump: I’d be lying if I didn’t say everybody was surprised at the momentum. It just picked up so quickly and gathered so much speed—to be the headline on CNN and to be, as you say, on the front pages of newspapers. But people have been invested in the show for so many years. I’d liken it to: You’d watched Friends and you feel like you know these characters. We saw them live together. It was compounded by the fact that it was her best friend. To see the footage of Raquel [Leviss] asking Ariana [about her sex life with Tom], and Ariana taking Raquel into confidence, it all seemed bizarre and clandestine and duplicitous. I don’t think anybody believed those two were capable of it.

How did you feel about those last five minutes of the reunion, in which Raquel reveals to a producer that Tom encouraged her to lie about the timeline of the affair? They were much-hyped, and some people thought overhyped.

The hype was that I knew, and they were pretty aggressive to me online. Finally I had to tweet and say, “No, I didn’t know. I wish I had.” It was pretty astounding. For her to even utter words, maybe, that they weren’t in unison—it was a bit surprising, to be honest. But that’s what good producers, and a good reality family, endeavor to do: get the truth.

People think you knew ahead of time. They’ve pointed to that memed scene of your husband, Ken, being gossipy, because it seemed so un-Ken. So, last word: Did anyone feed Ken that line?

Ken didn’t have a mic on! Ken wasn’t filming. I’d told Ken before, and he just thought he was having a bit of a laugh. I don’t think he realized the ramifications of it, but nobody did at that time. I mean, if he’d been in the scene, maybe somebody would’ve fed him the line. But to suddenly walk into the scene without a mic, and then walk out the other side? It was funny at the time because it wasn’t that serious. It was more of an innuendo. Ken doesn’t care what he says on reality television, or whether he’s on it or not. I think he established that a long time ago.

  • Vanderpump Rules Finale: The #Scandoval Is No Match For Ariana Maddix

Vanderpump Rules Finale: The #Scandoval Is No Match For Ariana Maddix

    [ad_1]

Wednesday’s explosive Vanderpump Rules finale opens in medias res, with a clip from Andy Cohen introducing Scheana Shay and Raquel Leviss on the March 1st episode of Watch What Happens Live! He notes that it’s the first day of Women’s History Month. The chill of those words hangs in the air as Cohen asks Shay and Leviss which Tom— Schwartz or SandovalVPR’s best friend bro-duo——is hotter. Leviss’s answer—a coyly quiet “Sandoval?” —seemed innocuous at the time, even like she was choosing the lesser of two evils. But within 48 hours, TMZ would break the news that Leviss had actually been engaged in a months-long affair with Sandoval, even though he’d been dating their co-star Ariana Maddix for nearly a decade. A #Scandoval was born.

Luckily for VPR fans, as soon as news broke of Leviss and Sandoval’s affair, Bravo sprang into action, extending the season to capture the drama firsthand. That extra hour is a testament to the power of keeping the cameras rolling, capturing the fallout of a truly shocking betrayal. “Are you ready to talk about this?” a producer asks Sandoval and Maddix, seen in split screen in their separate confessionals. “No,”  they both say in unison.

Soon enough, though, Maddix and Sandoval are chronicling exactly how their relationship ended, their interviews interspersed with footage of the night it all went down. According to both parties, Sandoval and his cover band—yes, he has a cover band—were performing at TomTom, the bar he co-owns with Schwartz, when Sandoval’s phone fell out of his pocket. Someone handed it to Maddix, unaware that they were giving her the key to Pandora’s box. “Call it a woman’s intuition, call it lightbulb, whatever,” Maddix says. “Literally in that moment I went, ‘I need to look at this.’”

What she found was an incriminating screen recording of Leviss, one of her “best friends,” and Sandoval, her boyfriend. “I learned on Wednesday night that there are evil evil people in this world, and sometimes they are the people that are closest to you,” says Maddix.

We then jump to the next day. Maddix sits in the house she shares with Sandoval in Valley Village, decked out in a dark sweatshirt, sports bra, and black jeans. She looks as if she’s in mourning. “I hate him, but I’m very quickly becoming completely indifferent,” she tells a friend named Meredith as the camera pans to a Lego portrait of the pair that hangs on the wall. “He gives me the ick.” It’s soon revealed that the ick is, in fact, in the house with her. Sandoval is seen brushing his teeth, and then emerges from the bathroom to join Ariana in their open concept living room kitchen. “Do you want anything?” Sandoval asks, half-heartedly. “For you to die,” she says. “Well that’s inevitable,” he replies.

This exchange is just the tip of the iceberg. “Every time I try to apologize to you it just makes you more angry,” says Sandoval, becoming a frontrunner for the gaslighter of the year award. Maddix harnesses her righteous anger as she takes Tom back to the beginning of their relationship. “I loved you then when you had nothing,” she says. “You get a little bit of money, a little bar, a band. You want someone to just gas you up. That girl is searching for identity in men. She has no identity of her own.”

The girl is, of course, 28-year old Raquel Leviss—a former pageant queen and employee at VPR home base SUR who was engaged to their castmate James Kennedy until dramatically breaking up with him during Vanderpump Rules’s season 9 reunion. Sandoval, now north of 40 despite what he may lead you to believe, claims that he and Leviss were friends who forged a connection over the course of the season because—in another veiled attempt to blame Maddix for their relationship woes—he needed “ something that I wasn’t getting here.”

“I don’t give a fuck about fucking Raquel,” Maddix screams with all of her might. “Your friendship is fucking bull shit.” She’s right. Sandoval tries to yell back that he and Leviss “actually were respecting each other and giving each other confidence” during their affair, and that he and Maddix had no sex life. But Maddix has the ultimate trump card: “So fuck my friend, get your mojo back,” she says. That’s precisely what he did.

Somehow, their conversation devolves from there, with Sandoval claiming that he tried to break up with Maddix a few weeks before. “If that was true, you should have never been in my bed after that night,” Maddix says. “You have to end it. You have to leave. Don’t be a fucking coward.”

Then she twists the knife further: “You’re worth nothing,” she says, whispering the last word. “I want you to feel that deep in your soul. I want you to hear those words from the woman who stood by you and loved you and was ready to build the rest of my life around you. Hear my words, and know that that’s how I feel about you. I regret ever loving you.”

Sandoval seems less focused on her word than he is on getting himself to eke out a tear on camera. He manages to do it, letting two roll down his face without wiping them away. But cinematic as they may be, his tears are empty in emotional weight, as is his final salvo to Ariana: “I never thought this would happen,” says the man who is responsible for all of this happening. ChatGPT could never write a scene like this.

On November 9th, 2017, Lisa Vanderpump and The Vanderpump Dog Foundation hosted its second annual Gala, presented by Zappos for Good, at the Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles. The purpose of the Gala was to raise awareness about their efforts to end the dog meat trade, draw attention to their current and future campaigns within the US and raise money to continue the Foundation’s work. The Gala was a complete success – hundreds of people gathered together to celebrate dogs, and help improve the lives of abused and mistreated dogs both domestically and internationally.

The Gala’s red carpet kicked off at 6pm, with a beautiful candlelit cocktail hour and a silent auction. Celebrities and attendees bid on a variety of donated luxury items ranging from hotel stays to dog beds and luxury beauty packages. At 7:30pm the doors opened to a stunning ballroom complete with pink roses and candelabras for a dinner that included music, dancing, celebrity performances, celebrity speakers and an incredible Live Auction of one-of-a-kind experiences.

Mario Lopez, the event’s host for the second year in a row, began the evening and continued to host throughout the night. The Foundation also awarded Honey, a survivor of the Yulin Dog Meat Festival this year, as their “2017 Dog of the Year”. Honey was rescued from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, and brought back to the Vanderpump Dog Rescue Center by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. John Sessa, and has since been adopted by a loving, caring family.

Celebrity performances were peppered throughout this gorgeous event, with performances by Billy Gilman (The Voice), singer and actor Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story), and an incredible dinner performance by the band Shirley House. The night ended with a spectacular dance performance from Dancing with the Stars’ Julz Tocker and partner Rachel White, followed by a night of guests dancing, with stars Lance Bass, Michael Turchin, Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd leading the way.

Many of Lisa’s close friends showed up to support the cause, including a wonderful amount of celebrities who helped raise awareness on the red carpet and through social media. Aside from Extra’s Mario and Courtney Lopez, Lance Bass and Michael Turchin, who supported the event by hosting and presenting, Real Housewives cast members Gretchen Rossi & Slade Smiley, Taylor Armstrong, Joyce Giraud, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Teddi Jo Mellencamp, D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott were in attendance. ABOUT THE VANDERPUMP DOG FOUNDATION

The Vanderpump Dog Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue organization, working on both a domestic and international front to help create a better world for dogs globally. Founders Lisa Vanderpump & Ken Todd began the long journey towards trying to stop the barbaric torture practices at the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and end the dog meat trade in Asia, in 2015. Together with their partner Dr. John Sessa, they launched the campaign Stop Yulin Forever, which ultimately led them to create The Vanderpump Dog Foundation. The movement gained momentum and has inspired activists all over the world to work towards ending the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and encourage more humane treatment for dogs worldwide. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation was formed to not only aid in ending this international atrocity, but to also better the lives of dogs domestically. The United States faces many problems of its own including dog overpopulation, abuse, neglect and lack of education with regards to spaying and neutering pets. With the opening of their new Vanderpump Dog Rescue Center in LA, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation aims to reduce these problems within California and beyond, as well as continue their national and international campaigns built on a platform of education, legislation, and activism.
