Goodbye, Stains—These 30 Chic Nordstrom Pieces are Stylish and Easy to Clean

    [ad_1]

This story goes out to my spill-prone queens. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a stain on your clothes and not being able to get it out. As a mother of two little ones (and with my own fair share of spills), I battle stains on the daily. Through this humbling practice, I have learned a few things along the way like what fabrics are the easiest to clean and the best cleaning duo for getting out even the toughest of stains—I am happy to share my learnings with you below.

When it comes to easy-cleaning fabrics, there are both natural and synthetic options that you will want to reach for on your next shopping trip. Cotton and wool will always be great natural picks. As for synthetic fabrics, polyester reigns supreme and is often used to create fleece and faux-leather pieces. On any of these fabrics, your best bet in combating a stain is to treat it before it has a chance to set. First, gently remove any debris. Next, run cool or warm water over the area and go in with my trusty duo: vinegar and clear dish soap.

I like to keep a small spray bottle with a 1:1 mix of white vinegar and water to spray directly on stains, drip on some dish soap (a little goes a long way), and then I take a toothbrush that I keep reserved for laundry and begin to scrub the area—You can scrub harder on cotton pieces but need to be gentler on more textured fabrics like wool or fleece. Add more of the spray mix or soap as you see fit and feel free to rinse in cool or warm water as needed to check your progress. From there, launder as usual.

With all this in mind, I rounded up 30 pieces from Nordstrom that are not only stylish but easy to clean. Here’s to stress-free laundry in your near future.

  • Reformation’s Linen Is Apparently Epic—Here’s My Honest Review

Reformation’s Linen Is Apparently Epic—Here’s My Honest Review

    [ad_1]

It’s rare for a brand to be known for everything it makes. Oftentimes, they’ll be famous for a specific thing, from Levi’s and denim to Bottega Veneta and braided leather goods. For Reformation, the area that really got the brand to the top was its linen, whether it’s crafted into a dress, a set, or separates. Just take a look at the brand’s best-sellers page if you want proof. A majority of the items listed there are crafted out of the summertime-favorite fabric. But since I’ve never been one to blindly accept the word of the masses, I decided that it was time to finally put Reformation’s linen offering to the test and see if all that hype is justified.

To do so, I took home four of the brand’s most talked-about linen pieces—the Will Oversized Linen Shirt, the Mason Linen Shorts, the Tagliatelle Linen Dress, and the Robbie Linen Two-Piece Set—and tried them on, actually feeling the material, physically experimenting with the fit, and experiencing IRL the silhouettes. And of course, I couldn’t keep my findings to myself. Below, read my honest review of Reformation’s linen.

  • Sienna Miller Wore the Anti-Trend Summer Duo That *Everyone* Needs to Wimbledon

Sienna Miller Wore the Anti-Trend Summer Duo That *Everyone* Needs to Wimbledon

    [ad_1]

If you’ve been following the quiet-luxuryold-money aesthetic as closely as I have, you’re going to want to scroll through and keep on top of all of the outfits that celebrities have worn and will go on to wear to Wimbledon, the two-week long tennis tournament that’s going on right now at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club outside of London. Already, we’ve seen Phoebe Dynevor in a baby-blue striped matching set, Emma Corrin in an ecru shorts suit, and Anna Wintour in a polka-dot plissé dress. But of all the looks that’ve come out of the biggest event in tennis thus far, the one that’s most elite is Sienna Miller‘s.

On Sunday, day nine of the tournament, Miller was spotted at the event alongside her boyfriend Oli Green wearing the summer duo that defies all trends and always looks expensive: a linen shirt and matching trousers. Specifically, the Anatomy of a Scandal star chose a blue-and-white striped set from Polo Ralph Lauren (which just so happens to be on sale right now) and a matching navy-blue wicker bag from Ralph Lauren Collection. To finish off the look, she added a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and platform sandals. Since her choice of Wimbledon attire is top tier to say the least, I rounded up a few equally buy-worthy linen sets below.

My style skews simple at any point throughout the year. But now that summer is here, I’m all about unfussy outfits that are effortless to put together and give off a relaxed vibe, which is why I’m clinging to one easy wardrobe staple more than ever right now: linen pants. Linen clothing is a must if you live anywhere hot and humid since its breezy and lightweight feel keeps things ultra-comfortable. Practicality aside, nothing embodies the laid-back feel of summer dressing quite as linen pieces do.

That said, I’m reaching for my linen trousers more than any other pair of jeans or pants right now, and I figured you might be, too, so I went ahead and sourced 13 cool linen-pant outfits that I’ll personally be bookmarking. I think you’ll find the warm-weather staple to be surprisingly versatile after scrolling through this roundup—style a pair with a blazer for the office or wear them over your bikini as beach pants. Ahead, get inspired by how fashion people are wearing their linen trousers now.

Before I say that linen is one of the biggest trends of summer 2023, I’m going to stop myself because linen is always a thing during summer. The only problem is (aside from trying to keep wrinkles at bay) that it can get kind of expensive. But you don’t need to spend a ton of money to get high-quality, rich-looking linen pieces. I’ve found a ton of pieces that legitimately look designer but won’t set you back an arm and a leg.

So where did I find these beautiful pieces? Well, I scoured the internet, but some of my favorite current sources of affordable linen are Mango, Nordstrom, COS, and J.Crew, all of which are present and accounted for below. It Takes a Lot to Gain a Spot in My Wardrobe, But These 15 Pieces Were Worth It

    [ad_1]

Shopping makes up 80% of my life mostly because it’s my job, but I also can’t deny the boost of serotonin I get when I find an item of clothing I know will transcend current trends and become an everyday staple in my wardrobe. But there’s still a lot of sifting through the internet that goes on before I get there.

The pieces I always choose to incorporate into my daily looks can ultimately be styled with anything from a pair of classic jeans to a simple white tee. Finding new pieces that embrace this ethos is a robust routine that has become a little less daunting thanks to MOTF. The brand’s newest City Chic collection houses some seriously effortless and sophisticated pieces, and it’s a treasure trove of classics, especially when shopping for the warmer seasons. Think breathable and lightweight fabrics, like pure silk and natural linen, in chic silhouettes that won’t be out of style next season. Below are 15 of my current favorites, and you really shouldn’t miss out on them for summer.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Anti-Jeans Trend That’s About to Dominate All Summer

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Anti-Jeans Trend That’s About to Dominate All Summer

    [ad_1]

Summer isn’t here yet, but Jennifer Lawrence is already creating the perfect warm-weather wardrobe for 2023. From baggy jeans and sold-out sneakers to floral minidresses and naked shoes, the actress has yet to debut an outfit that’s disappointed us since temperatures have warmed up. Her latest, however, just might take the cake.

Lawrence and her mom were spotted in New York City’s West Village on Mother’s Day, following a midday date at a nail salon. Lawrence wore an all-white ensemble that included a cropped short-sleeve tee and matching drawstring linen trousers from Leset. She finished the look with a bucket hat, sunglasses, a crossbody bag, and simple black sandals. Though the outfit felt right at home in the warm weather New Yorkers have been experiencing this week, one aspect of it was particularly perfect for summer. We’ve been seeing white linen pants like Lawrence’s all over TikTok and Instagram, leading us to believe they’ll be a wardrobe essential post-Memorial Day. Before they really take off (and sell out), shop our favorite takes on the anti-jeans trend below.

  • The Anti-Jeans Trend French and Italian Women Swear By Every Summer

The Anti-Jeans Trend French and Italian Women Swear By Every Summer

    [ad_1]

When I think of summer dressing, the first items that come to mind are denim shorts, tank tops, and sundresses. But that certainly isn’t the case everywhere. Sure, tank tops are a universal staple, just like linen frocks and an easy pair of cutoff shorts. But in some places, an entirely different garment reigns supreme when warm temperatures arrive, and it’s one we hardly give enough credit to here in the United States. And that, my fashion friends, is the white trouser.

White trousers are elegant, understated, and even billowy in the way only André Aciman, author of Call Me By Your Name, can adequately describe in words. In Italy and France, two summer destinations Americans often plan to visit months in advance, the white trouser is absolutely essential. Whether paired with a crisp poplin shirt, a ribbed tank top, or an oversized tee, there’s really nothing you can’t style alongside a simple pair of white slacks, no matter the material, shade, or silhouette. Linen or cotton, stark white or ivory, straight or wide leg—take your pick. Ahead, see for yourself the sartorial prowess of the anti-jeans trend that dominates Europe’s fashion capitals every summer.
