  • Stickin’ Beside Her?! Lil Baby Drops Message About Jayda Cheaves Amid Shade From Supa Peach (PHOTOS + VIDEOS)

The internet has been waiting to see where Lil Baby stands after Supa Peach started throwing heavy shade at Jayda Cheaves. Things seemingly popped off between Jayda and Peach after Jayda claimed Ari Fletcher had past history with Baby. And if that wasn’t enough, Emily Huff, who Baby also allegedly messed with jumped in and threw shots at Jayda and her sister, Jazmine Cheaves too. Grab your popcorn Roommates, we have a lot to unpack!

Lil Baby Chimes In After Supa Peach Drags Jayda Cheaves On Social Media

It looks like Lil Baby is making it real clear where he stands after Supa Peach went off on Jayda on social media. The rapper dropped a post on his Instagram Story about the mother of his youngest son, Loyal. He made it real clear that Jayda is the topic and the TOP PICK right now! Baby reposted one of Jayda’s recent Instagram photos and added his hit single, ‘Mrs. Trendsetter,’ along with the caption, “CBFW” which means, “Can’t be f*** with.” Jayda hasn’t responded to Baby’s post, but she has been continuing to keep her unbothered energy.

Here’s Where Jayda & Peach Left Off

Things seemingly started to heat up between Jayda Cheaves and Supa Peach after Peach weighed in on Jayda’s comments about Ari Fletcher. Right after that, Jayda dropped receipts, sharing an old DM where Peach asked about becoming an ambassador for her brand. Jayda followed up with a meme and a caption, writing, “Guess she mad I ain’t want her in my stuff. Chy idk anyways lollll.” That sent Peach to pop off even more, as she pulled her own receipts and claimed Jayda’s mom reached out to her to network with Jayda’s brothers.

Jayda didn’t let Peach’s comments slide one bit. When a Snapchat user told her, “New lawsuit money for you, go get your bag. Since lil girl wanna be funny.” This comment appeared to pop up after Peach alleged that Jayda had herpes and won a million-dollar lawsuit due to it. That led Jayda to clap back in a post with, “Last person that lied on me and said I had a disease I didn’t have lost her job and had to pay. It’s public records. Read the files. Let me call my lawyer right now. You will be dealt with.” She then dropped another message adding, “I got a rack for anybody who can get me her address right now.”

Jazmine Cheaves Holds Jayda Down After Emily Huff Enters The Chat

You’re probably wondering who Emily Huff is and how she got tangled into things with Jayda. Well, Emily jumped into the mix after Peach accused Jayda of sneaking around with Lil Baby while Emily was supposedly with him. That pushed Emily to step up, calling out Jayda after an alleged spam IG account threw shade at her. In a lengthy Instagram comment, Emily accused Jayda of being obsessed with Baby. She also claims Jayda stole her business concept for her cosmetic line.

“I’ve kept it cute but you’re doing too much rn. I wasn’t trying to start my year like that, but Drop ya n**s! & I saw your DM. You find YOU something safe to do.. you’re not a bully. Go have that energy with Ari scary a** b***h.”

But Jazmine Cheaves, Jayda’s sister, didn’t just sit there. She came through and had Jayda’s back, replying to Emily on her IG Story, saying she was just looking for attention. “@emilyhuff please stop the bulls**t. IT WAS NEVER NO RELATIONSHIP & u also gave her the green light to f*** with him cause u knew he didn’t want you h**! I was there.”

How Did Ayesha Howard Get Wrapped Into The Mix Jayda?

And then there was Ayesha Howard, the mother of Lil Baby’s eldest son, Jason Armani. Folks online were shocked to see Ayesha ready to ride at dawn behind Jayda after an Instagram user wrote, “Gurl leave Jayda alone” in response to Supa Peach going off on Wayda. Ayesha seemed to agree with the IG user saying if it goes down she’s stepping behind Wayda without hesitation. “Naw fr cause I love Loyal and for the love of Loyal I’ll slide for his momma if it get too out of hand !”

  • Whew! Ayesha Howard Drops A Few Words As Jayda Cheaves Claps Back At Supa Peach For Weighing In On Her & Ari Fletcher’s Drama (VIDEOS)

Whew! The internet has been in an uproar after Jayda Cheaves alleged that her former friend Ari Fletcher was messing around with Lil Baby. As think pieces continue to circulate, social media users are making it loud and clear whether they’re Team Ari or Team Jayda in the situation. Furthermore, Supa Peach, who many know from her appearance on ‘The Rap Game,’ also chimed in on the drama. The rapper quickly went viral after she didn’t hold back, channeling her inner Ari and giving her own impression of how she would have responded to the alleged tea Jayda shared. Ayesha Howard, the mother of Lil Baby’s eldest son, has also weighed in amid it all.

Jayda Drops Receipts, And Supa Peach Goes Off

For those who missed it, Supa Peach’s clip initially reacting to the Jayda Cheaves and Ari Fletcher situation continued to make its rounds online earlier this week. Subsequently, Jayda hopped on Snapchat with a clapback. She shared a screenshot showing Peach previously in her DMs asking to be a brand ambassador. In the post, Jayda wrote, “Tehehehe,” followed by another snap that read, “Guess she mad I ain’t want her in my stuff. Chy idk anyways lollll.”

Supa Peach didn’t waste any time responding. The rapper took to her Instagram Story with a message aimed at Jayda, writing, “TEHEHEHEHE. I’m the WRONG young, turnt b**** to EVERRRRRR play with. Follow my TikTok cause I’m finna spill the tea. She better off stfu. I know too much.”

The rapper didn’t stop there. Supa Peach continued going off, warning Jayda that she didn’t want smoke and claiming her response would be worse than how Ari reacted. She added, “Mind you, I never said I didn’t like her, it’s just something missing.”

She later returned to social media a few hours later to continue responding. Supa Peach claimed Jayda’s PR team reached out, not her personally. She shared thoughts on Jayda’s character, Jayda’s relationship with Lil Baby, and various rumors about the influencer. In her Instagram Story, Supa Peach also claimed Jayda’s mother previously reached out to help network for Jayda’s brothers. She wrote, “Difference is my PR team reach out to brands. This yo MOMAAAAA reaching out!!! And you supposed to be Jayda Wayda? You so selfish you can’t even help your own family. Since you wanna be petty on some influencer receipt sht!” She added, “MAD AT EVERYONE BUT THAT N***.”

Jayda Mentions Legal Action, While The Mother Of Lil Baby’s Oldest Son Shows Support

Over on Snapchat, a commenter wrote to Jayda, “New lawsuit money for you, go get your bag. Since lil girl wanna be funny.” The comment came after Supa Peach allegedly claimed in her rant that Jayda had herpes and won a million-dollar lawsuit because of it. Jayda quickly responded, writing, “Last person that lied on me and said I had a disease I didn’t have lost her job and had to pay. It’s public records. Read the files. Let me call my lawyer right now. You will be dealt with.”She later added, “I got a rack for anybody who can get me her address right now.”

In response, Supa Peach reposted Jayda’s Snapchat post while playing Bunna B’s ‘Mad Again.’ Meanwhile, Ayesha Howard, the mother of Lil Baby’s oldest son, appeared ready to slide behind Loyal and Jayda. A commenter under The Shade Room wrote, “Gurl leave Jayda alone!” in response to Supa Peach. Despite past differences between Jayda and Ayesha, Ayesha stepped in to show support. She replied, “Naw fr cause I love Loyal and for the love of Loyal I’ll slide for his momma if it get too out of hand!”

Meanwhile, over on her Instagram Story, Supa Peach appeared to be pleased about getting Jayda “mad.”

    Social Media Reacts

Folks gathered under The Shade Room Teens as they reacted to Supa Peach and Jayda’s clapback. While some felt that Jayda started it and couldn’t be mad at Supa Peach, others believed that, regardless, Supa Peach should have minded her business.

Instagram user @stylesby.shonna wrote, “Omg girl u needed this moment 😂u ain’t been nobody since the rap game and u and latto was into syauu”

Instagram user @alasha._ added, “She really needs help. And so does the people encouraging this . She started w Jayda first, & Jayda barely said anything back and now she’s in a frenzy”

While Instagram user @alexisserin_  wrote, “I mean I kind of feel her, regardless if it was her or her team how did her reaching out for a brand ambassador make her fan?”

Instagram user @thereal_essemonroe wrote, “JAYDA REALLY PICKING AND CHOOSING AND YALL LETTING HER EVERYBODY LITERALLY HAD AN OPINION BUT OKAY”

Instagram user @ny.sante added, “Supa could’ve simply minded the business that PAYS! Yall saying it’s Jayda’s fault is DIABOLICAL!”

  • Lil Baby, Lil Yachty Team Up for Holiday Giveback in Atlanta’s West End

Photo by Tabius McCoy/The Atlanta Voice

On Saturday, December 20, families from across Atlanta gathered in the city’s West End for a large-scale holiday giveback led by Grammy-winning rapper Lil Baby and his nonprofit, The Jones Project, in partnership with the Lil Yachty Foundation.

Families received toys, bikes, and gift cards, along with winter essentials including coats donated by Canada Goose, more than 800 Tech Fleece sweatsuits provided by Nike, and hats supplied by Lids. Children moved between stations offering hot chocolate and candy bars and posed for photos with Santa. The Atlanta Hawks mascot, Harry the Hawk, alongside the Flight Team, also made special appearances, hosting merchandise stations and giveaways that added to the excitement. Food partners for the day included Sonic, Raising Cane’s, and Heinz.

The event took place at a West End production warehouse along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, which was transformed into a festive environment filled with music, food stations, and family-friendly activities.

Several families arrived hours before the event officially began, bundled up against temperatures that felt more like Minnesota than Atlanta. Diamond Jones, an Atlanta mother, said she and her children came early after learning from past events that lines can grow quickly. “My kids and just being able to get out and see faces, giving them a chance to see what it’s like to receive,” Jones said. “Normally we’re giving, so just to get out and see the many different things and the different stations,” Jones said. Her family received PlayStation controllers, a Nike Tech jacket, and gifts for all four of her children, including a bike for one of her daughters.

Another attendee, Chanel, a Westside Atlanta native, said she brought her two children to support Lil Baby and witness the impact of his community work firsthand. Her children received bikes, a four-wheeler toy, a Nerf gun, and winter accessories such as coats, scarves, and hats. She said the event created excitement for the holiday season while reinforcing a sense of connection between artists and the neighborhoods they come from. “They’re excited to come here and just support what he’s doing for the community,” she said.

The Jones Project, founded by Lil Baby, is a community-based nonprofit focused on empowering children and families in Atlanta’s historic West End by providing access to food, clothing, educational support, and safe spaces. The Lil Yachty Foundation centers its work on youth development, education, and mentorship, particularly in metro Atlanta and Southeast Georgia. Together, the organizations used the holiday giveback to reinforce a shared message of generosity, visibility, and support for families who need it most during the winter months.

Members of the Lil Yachty Foundation were on site throughout the afternoon, helping distribute items and interact with families as Lil Yachty moved through the crowd, greeting attendees. Reflecting on the day, he emphasized the importance of presence and participation during the holiday season. “It feels good giving back”.

  • Producer Turbo talks about his latest project with Gunna, ‘The Last Wun’

A native of College Park, Turbo (above) has worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Photo submitted

Chances are, even if you’re not an avid hip-hop listener, you’ve heard the distinctive tagline: “Run dat back, Turbo.” Whether at the start of a chart-topping song, on the car radio, or in your Spotify or Apple Music rotation, the phrase has likely crossed your ears.

Grammy-nominated producer Turbo has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names, such as Gunna, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, and more. At just 31 years old, he’s already achieved milestones many never reach in their entire careers, from certified diamond hits to multi-platinum albums. His name resonates far beyond Atlanta and across the globe.

Yet despite the accolades, the College Park, GA native hasn’t forgotten where it all started. Speaking with The Atlanta Voice was a full-circle moment for him.

“Crazy story about The Atlanta Voice: a really close family friend who actually raised me used to work for The Atlanta Voice, and I used to come to their office all the time,” reflected Turbo at the very beginning of the interview.

Fresh off executive producing Gunna’s The Last Wun, released this month, Turbo spoke with The Atlanta Voice about the album, the inspiration that drives him, the humbling setbacks he faced in his career, and his perspective on Atlanta’s hip-hop scene today.

Atlanta Voice (AV): Turbo, you’ve accomplished a lot in your career so far, but was there ever a time when you had doubts starting out?

Turbo: Yeah, I mean, it got to a point where I was trying to get on with so many different artists around the city and just failing. You know what I mean? I was still putting my all into everything, but I just got used to the failure. I’ve always been confident in what I did and put everything into it.

But it got to a place where I didn’t have anything else because I went all in on music. I didn’t go to college. I graduated from high school, and all my friends went to college. I was kind of looked at as the failure.

I remember that feeling, and now just to look at where I am today, I’m thankful I kept going.

AV: How did you get into producing?

Turbo: My older cousin is the one who gave me FL Studio, the same program I use today. At that time, a lot of the teenage groups were going around like the rich kids and all of the futuristic stuff. So I just kind of fell into producing.

AV: You always pay respect to your formative days spent at LoudHouse Studios, back when it was on Moreland. What was that like for you working there in 2016-2017?

Turbo: Just think of the scariest building you can imagine. Leaks in the ceiling, some lights don’t work, and you’ve got to walk through a 10,000-square-foot building just to get to a unit in the back. All that just to make beats or record people, trying to make some type of money, out on Moreland, the east side, where I wasn’t from and didn’t know anybody.

I met the owner, who’s still one of my great friends today, and he needed help running his sessions. It was just an opportunity for me to go and work.

That kind of became my safe place. At that time, I was homeless, going from couch to couch. So it was like, okay, I can at least come here and spend a couple of hours before I go find another couch to crash on.

AV: Who was the first big-name artist you worked with?

Turbo: The first big-name artist I got introduced to was Tip (T.I.) and Dro (Young Dro).

AV: How did you and Gunna meet?

Turbo: Just being in different studios. We always had mutual friends because we were from the same side, but we never officially met.

In Atlanta, the studios are almost like the club. You always see people in there. I used to always see Gunna and his best friend Nechie.

That was the first time we brushed shoulders. I saw what he could do, he saw what I could do, and we just gravitated to each other.

AV: Was this before his first Drip Season album?

Turbo: Yeah, way before that. Like 2014. We got in the studio around 2016. I produced something on every Drip Season, from the first one to the green one (Drip Season 3). But Drip Season 3 is when we really locked in, and I started working with him every day.

AV: Let’s dive into this new project you worked on, The Last Wun. You and Gunna know each other’s process fairly well. What was the creative process like for this album?

Turbo: We’re both creatives. We both put our all into the art. More than anything, we communicate. Through this process, we learned to communicate with each other way better.

From that, it spills into the music. Like with Satisfaction, we had a long, deep conversation in Saudi Arabia right before he recorded it. That conversation inspired him to do the song.

That’s kind of our process. I’ll be making music, he’ll be chilling and vibing, and he’ll say something that makes me want to get up and create something off what he just said.

AV: Speaking of Satisfaction, that was one of my favorites on the album. I really liked the feature from Asake and the touch it added to the song. Was he originally planned to be on the song, or did y’all reach out to him later?

Turbo: Yeah, Asake has turned into our Nigerian brother, you know what I mean? We hang out a lot outside of music, too. He actually heard that song one day in the studio and wanted to jump on it. And of course, it’s Gunna and Asake — why not? So we just did it like that.

AV: One of the things I found interesting when listening to the album is that every track sounds different. What inspires how you make beats for Gunna?

Turbo: I mean, I just wake up and feel different every day. That’s the best way I can describe it. Music has gotten really analytical for a lot of people, but for us, the process is just straight inspiration. If I’m feeling good, I make a beat that feels good. If I’m feeling mellow, I make a mellow beat.

Right now, just talking about my aunt and The Atlanta Voice and thinking about back in the day makes me want to go make five beats that remind me of my childhood or just being in Summerhill when I was a kid.

AV: So this album has twenty-five tracks, and One of Wun had twenty tracks. Some might say both projects had a bit too much for a rap album. What made y’all put so many songs on here? You could’ve saved some for another project.

Turbo: We just wanted to feed the fans. At first, we thought, “You can’t put 25 songs on one project.” But then it was like, why not? Whatever felt good deserved to come out. The fans deserved to hear it.

AV: Was there any song on the album that you didn’t think would get as much traction as they did?

Turbo: Nah, I always knew this was some of the best work we’ve made. I was super confident in what we had. Even some of the songs that didn’t make the album, I’m still super confident about those. Whatever comes next, we’ve just been in that vibe lately.

AV: I’m curious. Where did the tagline “Run dat back, Turbo” come from? It wasn’t in your earlier work in 2017 with Hustle Gang.

Turbo: That came in late 2018 or 2019. Everybody always called me Turbo, that was my name. I was recording a friend, and he just said, “Run dat back, Turbo.”

I put it to the side for a few months, then used it on a random beat that Gunna jumped on, and it went crazy. It was really just God, I guess.

AV: You know this month alone, we’ve seen a lot of projects from Atlanta-based rap artists. What are some things you have to say about Atlanta’s rap scene right now?

Turbo: I just want to bring back that unity. I feel like it’s been lacking, and nobody really knows why. But if you know Atlanta rap, it’s always been about unity. I’d say let’s get back to that feeling.

AV: Do you think we’re headed in the right direction?

Turbo: I feel like we’ll eventually get there, yeah.

AV: Are there any projects that we can expect from you in the near future?

Turbo: Yeah, I got a lot of stuff coming out this year with different artists. I don’t want to mess up their rollouts, but there’s plenty coming. And of course, the Turbo album.

Lil Baby Insists Man In Sex Tape Isn’t Him Despite Apparent Resemblance: ‘Ain’t No Mystery In My History’

Lil Baby is setting the record straight after his name started trending for an unfortunate reason.

Source: Aaron J. Thornton / Getty

The rapper’s name started trending on X–the social media platform previously known as Twitter–over the weekend after a sex tape that many fans thought featured him made its way online.

According to reports from TMZ, the graphic video that’s making the rounds features a man giving another man fellatio, though the recording is of another recording and isn’t very high quality. The man seen in the fuzzy clip supposedly resembles Lil Baby, and that slight resemblance was only further fueled by the caption partially covering the man’s full face that reads, “Nah lil baby 😭.”

Lil Baby was quick to shut down the chatter, clearly upset that someone tried to gain some attention by attaching his name to a fake narrative. He posted a statement on his Instagram Story shutting down his involvement in the video, insisting that this would be the last time he comments on something of this nature.

“Ya’ll gotta stop using my name and likeness when y’all get bored, then the extremes mfs go to for clout is sick,” he wrote. “Ain’t no mystery in my history on NO LEVEL.”

He concluded his statement by writing: “This is my last time addressing any kind of dumb ass click bait…Tf is wrong wit y’all.”

So, while social media has a field day with the jokes–many of them being gross and homophobic–Lil Baby is insisting that the video has nothing to do with him.

  • Your Weekend Playlist: New Music To Listen To This Friday

Your Weekend Playlist: New Music To Listen To This Friday

We are officially approaching the middle of August already. How is the summer flying by that fast that it feels like every week I’m discussing a new season approaching? Taylor Swift was right, August does really slip away like a bottle of wine.

But that’s not stopping me from coming up with a fresh batch of new tunes to get you through the weekend…and the rest of the week until we inevitably reach another Weekend Playlist article. But enough stressing about the future and the impending cold weather, let’s focus on the now.

This week, I am feeling so excited to share this playlist with my dear, devout readers. If you’re looking for new music released on or around August 11, 2023, I’ve got you covered! We have songs from Olivia Rodrigo, Claire Rosinkranz, and much more! Let’s get listening.

Olivia Rodrigo – “bad idea right?”

Queen of pop rock fusion, Olivia Rodrigo is back with the second single from her upcoming sophomore album GUTS. Starting off strong with potentially-Zack-Bia-inspired-breakup ballad, “Vampire”, fans are eager to hear the followup. “bad idea right?” will be accompanied by a Rodrigo bestie-laden video, starring Iris Apatow, Tate McRae, and Madison Hu.

GUTS, out September 8, is Olivia’s response to the flawless, GRAMMY-award winning debut album, SOUR. We already know she has the ability to sing and songwrite, and most certainly isn’t a one hit wonder. It’s one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and “bad idea right” is just another taste.

Claire Rosinkranz – “Pools & Palm Trees”

Southern California native Claire Rosinkranz shot into the public eye with her ability to make fun, heartfelt music that she creates herself, soundtracked by multiple instruments she also knows how to use. The mega-talent is now releasing “Pools & Palm Trees”, a summery, acoustic tune about missing someone. It’s the perfect song to wind down the summer with, all about yearning.

The song is classic Claire – sunny, reminiscent of endless summer. “Pools & Palm Trees” comes ahead of Rosinkranz’ highly anticipated debut album, Just Because. With critically acclaimed singles like “Screw Time” and “Sad in Hawaii”, plus a collab with Louis The Child on “Walls”, Rosinkranz is a dynamo to watch in the music industry.

JP Saxe – “Caught Up On You”

It’s a big end of the year for JP Saxe, who has created real tracks and whose voice works well alongside any collaboration. He’s looking forward to touring with John Mayer as his opener, and is building up to his sophomore album, A Grey Area, starting with this new single. “Caught Up on You” is a sign of Saxe’s growth as an artist, it’s complex and honest with catchy bridges and a soothing chorus.

The song is quirky, not his normal heart-wrenching ballad that makes you want to sob for all the right reasons…and yet, you can tell JP Saxe stayed true to himself throughout. It’s a fun start to the playlist, and a song you’ll crave to hear again.

“I completely turned off my filter and wrote nine of the weirdest verses I’ve ever written and picked my favorite four,” Saxe says of writing “Caught Up On You.” “It was a way to clear the pipes creatively, but I ended up being obsessed with the song. It was genuinely fun. It’s still my favorite song on the record. When you’re used to talking about heavy and emotional shit and you write a song about kinks and communism, it’s a nice little break.”

DROELOE ft. Transviolet – “Downside Up”

DROELOE is gearing up to release his album The Art of Change on September 15, and with four solid singles including the most recent, “Downside Up ft. Transviolet”, you won’t want to miss it. Following his album release, there will be a headline tour and are looking forward to joining San Holo at select shows. “Downside Up” starts slow and soft, building up to high emotion and big sounds. It’s a poetic song with equal talent in production and singing.

‘We were very much in sync with what we wanted to say with the song, and the catharsis that we wanted to convey with it. It was an awesome experience turning that story into such a powerful poetic metaphor’

DJ Khaled ft. Lil Baby, Future, Lil Uzi Vert – “SUPPOSED TO BE LOVED”

With a classic sampling and remix of Michael Jackson’s hit “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)”, let Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi tell you how you’re supposed to be loved. A fun, summertime track that just makes you want to dance on a yacht with your friends, it’s a song reminiscent of the 2016 era of music. It’s Khaled’s classic ability to produce something that can be played over and over again.

Tracks with this level of star caliber can go one way or the other – work seamlessly, or it can force together three different sounds and sound messy. This one works.

Bankrol Hayden is On The Rise

For the first episode of It’s Real for 2023, Jordan Edwards and Demi Ramos talked to one of hip-hop’s most promising young stars.

Bankrol Hayden has continuously released memorable music since debuting in 2018. His quick, melodic flow is unique, and his hooks stay with you. Fans have taken notice. “Costa Rica,” “Brothers,” and “Come Through,” have more than 400 million combined Spotify streams. He’s versatile too. His latest single with charlieonnafriday and labelmate Arden Jones, “Can’t Change for You,” is an acoustic pop song that’s ready for alternative radio.

The NorCal rapper’s 2020 debut, Pain is Temporary, contained “Costa Rica” (with The Kid LAROI) as well as collabs with Polo G and Lil Baby. The follow up is on the way. Although an official release date hasn’t been set, Hayden says that the tracks have all been recorded.

Despite the early success, he remains grounded. He’s grateful for the opportunity to share his music and experience the life of a rap star.

From the Atlantic Records offices in Los Angeles, the 20-year-old talks about his career so far, biggest influences, and plans for the future. Watch the full interview below.
