  • Missouri woman goes to Ross. Then she spots a pair of $18.99 Levi’s jeans that leave her flabbergasted: ‘They’re getting desperate’

They say that at Ross you “dress for less,” but when it comes to this pair of Levi jeans, “less” seems to be the operative word. TikTok user Debbie Aubuchon (@debbieaubuchon) has gone viral after showing viewers a pair of Levi jeans she found in Ross. But these weren’t ordinary jeans.

In a now-removed 32-second clip, which has amassed 4,295 views, Aubuchon held the $18.99 pair of Levi’s to the camera while repeating: “Oh my God.”

Adorned with the iconic Levi’s label, the jeans featured several holes along the edges, giving them an almost ‘scooped’ appearance. The holes went from the very top to the very bottom of the jeans, to the point that the outside was extremely holey.

“Look at those pants,” Aubuchon gasped, as she continued to examine the garment. “Are you kidding me?”

“$19… there’s nothing left to these pants,” she added.

Aubuchon didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment.

In the comments, TikTok users were equally as incredulous.

One wrote, “My dog can do that for anyone in 5 minutes for free with any pair of jeans.”

“Absolutely not!” a second declared. “Someone used all their scraps.”

“Someone took scissors to them,” a third suggested. “Thats why you haven’t seen them.”

A fourth quipped that the garment looked “a little drafty.”

“I feel cold just looking at them,” they noted.

While a fifth was more direct, simply stating, “Those are ugly [in] my opinion.”

Ross didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via contact form. Levi’s didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via email.

Are ripped jeans still in fashion?

While ripped jeans feel more like an artefact from the ’90s, a trend expert told InStyle that this controversial twist on the denim classic might be making a return.

“Distressed jeans could be making a comeback in 2025 as we saw on the spring/summer runways, including Ralph Lauren,” fashion expert and stylist Naina Singla told the outlet.

“This time around, the look feels more effortless and intentional rather than overly ripped and casual.”

But where does this leave the Levi’s jeans? While there’s no question about it being an intentional look, it definitely errs on the casual side—meaning that this trend might not be making it out of Ross anytime soon.

Goodwill shopper receives an unwelcome surprise from Levi’s shorts

Either way, this isn’t the first time that a shopper has gone viral after being disappointed with a Levi’s item.

The main difference is that, this time round, the Levi’s came from Goodwill rather than Ross, meaning that they are second-hand.

The six-second clip, which was shared by Sierra Davis (@sierradavisdaily), insisted to viewers that they should “check items carefully at the thrift” before buying.

She then panned the camera to a pair of Levi’s shorts before showing viewers the inside. On the crotch area, there is a noticeable brown stain.

In the caption, Sierra simply asks: “Buy or bye?”

  • The Levi’s Toy Story Collection Includes a Secret Nod to Disney Adults

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, StyleCaster may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

The limited edition Levi’s Toy Story collection is officially here, and it’s honestly one of the best Disney Style collaborations I’ve seen in a long time. The collection, which launched on October 2 and celebrates the 30th anniversary of Pixar’s Toy Story, features a range of men’s, women’s, and unisex pieces inspired by Woody’s Roundup, the fictional puppet show that Woody, Bullseye, and Jessie all starred in in the film.

I was one of the first people to see the collection IRL, and here’s everything you need to know—including some of my favorite pieces.

Levi’s Toy Story Collection at a Glance:

As one of the most iconic westernwear brands, Levi’s is the perfect partner for Disney and Pixar to bring this vision to life. The collection reimagines some of Levi’s most beloved silhouettes with nods to characters through patch and repair details, chain-stitched embroidery, and motifs—including Woody as a Levi’s-inspired saddleman.

I sat down with Leo Gamboa, the senior director of collaboration and customization design at Levi’s, ahead of the Levi’s x Toy Story launch, and he shared how this collection had organic synergy, with the way Woody as a character lends itself to Levi’s aesthetic, history, and heritage.

“The magic of it is figuring out how to blend the two together in a way that is very tasteful and timeless,” he explained. “For us, it’s about finding these specific silhouettes that are iconic for Levi’s and then implementing the likeness of Toy Story into that in a way that is very wearable and has a very fashionable, lifestyle feel.”

    Woody’s Levi’s Jeans

We can also now confirm that Woody does wear Levi’s 501 jeans. The character is known for his western denim, but Disney has never confirmed or allowed a brand to alter Woody’s outfit, until now.

Throughout the collection, you’ll spot a little red Levi’s tag on Woody’s jeans—a small detail but a massive win for the brand and the collection. Gamboa called this “the most pinnacle piece of the collection,” referencing the legalities of getting Woody to actually wear a pair of Levi’s jeans.

“Our goal is to get everyone in Levi’s jeans, and we got Woody, one of the most special characters and personalities in the world, wearing Levi’s jeans,” he told me. As someone who loves a good Disney collaboration, I think the company often falls short on details like these. Seeing that little red tag on the pocket of Woody’s 501s makes the collection that much better.

A Sentimental Nod to Disney Adults

My favorite part, though, is the way Levi’s took inspiration from Disney adults in the designs. Each item features a special patch with Toy Story characters, including Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and Rex. These patches are selected at random during construction, making each item even more unique and serving as a special tribute to Disney fans’ love of mystery items and pin collecting.

There isn’t a way to order an item with a specific patch, and the anticipation of finding out which character you’ll get makes these pieces all the more special.

Shop the Levi’s Toy Story Collection Before It Sells Out

The Levi’s collection dropped on October 2 on Levi’s and Disney Store, and it’s quickly selling out. Here are some of the best pieces from the collection, including a replica Woody Belt, the patchwork jeans that sold out on Levi’s website (but are still available through Disney!), and the sweetest Jessie the cowgirl-inspired jacket and bell-bottom jeans set.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Levi’s is a STYLECASTER sponsor, however, all products in this article were independently selected by our editors. Levi’s x Toy Story Type III Jacket

The Levi’s x Toy Story Type III Jacket is one of the hero pieces in the collection, featuring the brand’s Type III Trucker Jacket silhouette with a Woody print on the back. If you look closely, Woody is wearing a pair of 501 jeans, too.

The limited edition denim Toy Story jacket is available in a unisex fit and features subtle nods to Woody’s cowboy outfit throughout, including a cow print elbow patch and red bias tape along the edge of one of the front pockets. If you’re going to buy one thing from this collection, the jacket is it.

    Sizes Available: XS-2XL
    Material: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Western Shirt

When I first saw the collection at the Levi’s headquarters, my eyes immediately went to this Levi’s x Toy Story Western Shirt—and it was one of the pieces I knew I had to take home with me. This cow print shirt features a classic denim shirt silhouette with western stitching throughout. It’s constructed from a lightweight cotton and hemp blend that drapes nicely when buttoned up, but also boasts enough weight to wear it open as a lightweight jacket.

    Sizes Available: 2XS-2XL
    Material: 76% cotton, 24% hemp

Levi’s x Toy Story Type II Jacket

The Levi’s x Toy Story Type II Jacket and matching Levi’s x Toy Story Ribcage Bells is the Jessie-inspired look of my dreams. When viewing the collection, I heard audible gasps from others over how gorgeous it is IRL. This cropped denim jacket features a deep indigo wash with an adorable cow print collar and a one-of-a-kind “Yodalayheehoo” chain stitch embroidery as a sweet nod to Jessie the cowgirl.

    Sizes Available: 2XS-2XL
    Material: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Ribcage Bells

I love that the Levi’s x Toy Story Type II Jacket and matching Levi’s x Toy Story Ribcage Bells are sold as separates, but they’re meant to be a set. If you’re going to get the jacket, the bell-bottom jeans are too good to pass up. Similar to the jacket, these jeans feature a deep indigo wash with cow print accents. Those western-inspired smile pockets are also so good.

    Sizes Available: 24-34
    Material: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Western Jacket

The Levi’s x Toy Story Western Jacket is another hero piece. This cropped quilted jacket features a boxy unisex fit and is constructed from piece-dyed bull denim. It also features some unique (and oh-so-special) details, like chain-stitched embroidery on the cuff, a Bullseye patch on the arm, and studded accents with tiny motifs inspired by the film.

    Sizes Available: XS-2XL
    Material: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Woody Saddleman Hoodie

I’m not usually one to go for the hoodie in a collection like this, but I had to take this one home. The hoodie is constructed from a heavyweight cotton material that gives it a more luxe feel. It’s also a piece that truly embodies the collaborative spirit between the brands, with a Woody Saddleman design on the back. I’m not surprised that this piece is already selling out.

    Sizes Available: 2XS-2XL
    Materials: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Cow Hat

In addition to clothing, the collection also features some must-have accessories, including this Levi’s x Toy Story Cow Hat. The unisex hat features the same cow print material featured in some of the clothing pieces, along with fun details such as an adjustable leather strap with the Pixar ball embossed on the buckle. This hat is available in a denim Toy Story logo style with the cutest western-inspired stitching.

    Size: 27 x 18 x 12 cm
    Material: 100% cotton

Levi’s x Toy Story Woody Belt

The Levi’s x Toy Story Woody Belt is another must-have accessory from the collection. This is an exact copy of Woody’s belt in the film, with some fun studded detailing along the leather for added flair. It’s a fun piece for any Toy Story fan, whether you want to cosplay at the Disney Parks or nod to your favorite cowboy at a country concert.

Sizes Available: S, L (sold out)
    Material: 100% full-grain bovine leather

Levi’s x Toy Story Loose Jeans

The Levi’s x Toy Story Loose Jeans are a piece that I am not surprised to see already sold out on Levi’s website (and almost sold out on Disney!). The use of fabric patches provides a subtle nod to these characters and is a unique way to tie Toy Story into the jeans without it feeling too overt. These details extend beyond the patch and repair style and are inspired by the scene in the film where Woody gets refurbished and the idea of a toy being passed down through generations.

    Sizes Available: 28-40
    Material: 100% cotton

  • Denim pioneer Levi’s is rolling out ‘tech pants’ and other new offerings this year. But will retailers stock them?

Denim pioneer Levi’s is rolling out ‘tech pants’ and other new offerings this year. But will retailers stock them?

With a rough 2023 in the rearview mirror, Levi Strauss & Co. this year is trying to tackle its problems with new pants.

That includes pants with lighter-weight denim; pants for women that can be worn as high-rise or low-rise; and even nondenim pants that management, during Levi’s
    LEVI,
    +1.27%

earnings call on Thursday, referred to as a “tech pant” for men with “moisture control and 360 mobility.” The company also plans to expand its offerings of Performance Cool pants intended to keep the wearer cool and dry on hotter days.

But as those products roll out, the retailers that account for most of Levi’s sales are still cautious about packing their shelves with new apparel — even though Levi’s executives pointed to slightly better demand from clothing stores during the fourth quarter and holiday period. And as the denim pioneer cuts costs, brings in new leadership and tries to be a bigger e-commerce player, Wall Street will now be digging around for signs of a payoff.

“Ultimately, the market will be looking for evidence new strategies can drive accelerated growth,” Stifel analyst Jim Duffy said in a research note on Thursday.

“We continue to believe in brand vitality and opportunities for extension. With product reflective of new direction arriving in the marketplace across 2024, the proof will be in consumer response,” he continued.

In an interview with MarketWatch on Friday, Duffy said he was optimistic about Levi’s standing as an established brand and stronger demand for its dresses, skirts and other women’s clothing items. But the more products a company rolls out, he suggested, the more it has to invest to make them work — and the more it needs to manage if sales falter.

“The risk, as I see it, is that more categories means more SKUs and more product that is fashion rather than core basic styles, and more investment and inventory that, if it doesn’t translate to the marketplace, could result in higher markdowns,” he said, referring to the stock-keeping units by which retailers track inventory.

Levi’s on Thursday said it would lay off between 10% and 15% of its global corporate staff in the first half of this year, a move intended to save $100 million in costs over that period. The layoffs are part of a two-year plan, called Project FUEL, intended to save money and strengthen the part of Levi’s business that sells directly to consumers via its own e-commerce network and its physical stores, as opposed to third-party retail operations.

The layoff announcement arrived days ahead of Chief Executive Chip Berg’s departure from that role, with Michelle Gass taking over on Jan. 29. As the company tries to be bigger than men’s jeans, Gass, in Levi’s earnings release on Thursday, said she saw an opportunity to grow internationally, make Levi’s own online and bricks-and-mortar sales a greater priority, and turn the brand into a larger “denim apparel lifestyle business.”

Levi’s shares fell after hours Thursday, after the company’s full-year profit forecast came in below expectations. The stock rebounded 1.3% on Friday but is still down 10.3% over the past 12 months.

Still, Levi’s direct-to-consumer sales jumped 11% during the fourth quarter, and accounted for 42% of sales overall. Duffy said that the company has pushed deeper into its direct-sales business because it gives executives greater insight into what consumers want, as well as more control over how it markets and sells its clothing. Cutting out other retailers also widens margins on sales, he noted.

Levi’s operating margins were higher in the fourth quarter. It also declared a dividend of 12 cents per share, payable in cash on Feb. 23.

But sales in Levi’s wholesale segment — the sales it gets from retailers who buy Levi’s product, then sell it to consumers — fell 2%. Better results in the U.S. and Asia were offset by a drop in Europe, the company said.

Retailers have spent the past two years trying to clear unwanted clothes from their stockrooms, and cutting prices in the process, after spiking inflation restricted many shoppers’ appetites to basics.

As Gass prepares to take the reins, she sought to put a positive spin on retail-chain sentiment. “So net-net, overall, as a company, we’re exiting the year on a strong note,” Gass said on the earnings call. “And U.S. wholesale, we’re encouraged. But as it relates to that channel, we’re not declaring victory yet. There’s been a lot of volatility this past year, some in our control, some outside. And so we are taking a cautious approach as we look forward.”

I’ve Been Living in These $55 Levi’s Jeans From Amazon

Every editorial product is independently selected by our editors. If you buy something through our links, we may earn commission.

My denim collection is, admittedly, vast. Through the years, I’ve got my hands on almost every style imaginable, from wide-leg jeans and retro-inspired flares to skinny jeans and trendy balloon-style denim. While I think every style has its place, my current go-to style is straight-leg jeans. I appreciate their versatility, timelessness, and, for one pair in particular, their unrivaled comfort. Enter the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans ($55, originally $80), which I recently added to my Amazon shopping cart in the bestselling style Summer Slide. Having heard my coworkers rave about them before, I felt it was due time to test them to find out what the hype was all about. Ahead, I explain what makes them so special.

What I Love About the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans

Not to sound like a broken record, but what I love most about the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans is their comfort. They’re stretchy, high-waisted, and slightly cropped, landing at the ankle. They’re just rigid enough to have structure but soft enough that I look forward to slipping into them at the start of the day. They’ve become the It girl of my denim collection because they go with everything and are reliably comfortable. For these reasons, I’ve reached for them repeatedly, and I have no signs of slowing any time soon.

I’m equally obsessed with the color I chose, which the brand describes as “light indigo.” They’re the quintessential light-blue jeans, and I love how they have the slightest bit of vintage texture that gives them a lived-in feel. I love wearing them with my high-top Converse sneakers, which complement the cropped denim and make for a super-comfortable outfit that’s a step up from my usual athleisure. I also love the way they hug my body without feeling constricting in the least.

What’s Worth Noting About the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans

Two years back, I reviewed Emma Chamberlain’s favorite pair of Levi’s — the Baggy Dad Jeans — and recalled that I ordered my usual size 28 and found they ran big. With that in mind, I opted for a size 27 this time. The fit was comfortable, not too big, though they were still a tad roomy around the waist. Based on this, I suggest sizing down by at least one full size for a better fit. Shoppers agree; multiple note that they recommend going down one or even two sizes. I suggest ordering two different sizes to compare, then keep the one that fits best and return the other. Alternatively, if you’re good with measurements, you can look to the handy size guide provided by the brand on its Amazon store page. I’ve included it below, too.

Sofia Richie Wore the $98 Jeans That Fashion Girls Know Are Better Than Designer

Ask any true fashion girl for a list of their most prized sartorial possessions and nine times out of ten, one item on said list will be a pair of perfect 501 Levi’s jeans. Maybe they were scored at a flea market in Paris or an IYKYK online vintage shop, or perhaps, they were bought new and personally worn in until they were stretched and softened to perfection. No matter where they were sourced or what form they were in when they were purchased, Levi’s will always become a cherished and frequently worn wardrobe item, more so even than any pair of expensive, designer jeans.

For proof, see Sofia Richie Grainge‘s latest denim-clad outfit, which she posted to her Instagram on New Year’s Eve. The newlywed who’s recent wedding looks were all custom Chanel could have any pair of jeans she wanted, and yet, she chose ones that cost just $98. That’s the power that Levi’s 501 jeans hold over the fashion crowd. We’re all smitten (and not fighting it either). With her oversize pair of light-wash 501s, Richie Grainge added a white Khaite tee and Bottega Veneta’s celeb-favorite Andiamo bag in a soft shade of butter yellow.

Below, see what all the hype’s about by shopping some of the best, most lauded Levi’s available today. Or if you’re already a loyal fan, double up on your favorite pairs. After all, there’s no such thing as too much denim, especially when Levi’s jeans are involved.

  • I Live in Venice Beach Where Low-Key Style Is It—These Outfits Hit

I Live in Venice Beach Where Low-Key Style Is It—These Outfits Hit

I’ve always been a city girl. I was born in Kuala Lumpur, grew up in Houston, and upon moving to L.A., lived comfortably east of the 405 for years. But a California hazard they don’t warn you about is that you might meet a cute surfer who eventually lures you all the way west. After some cajoling, I gave in to my inner Pisces, packed up my gray Tabby, and moved us across town to the sun-dappled, salty-aired streets of Venice Beach.

It’s been six years since, and while I may not yet be a bona fide beach babe (I still prefer reading on the sand to roaring waves), it’s home. My hair is blonder, my mornings slower, and I love the neighborhood’s walkability and proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Every time I catch another glorious pink sunset, it does feel a little like living in a fantasy.

If you’ve ever experienced L.A. traffic, you know how vast and sprawling the city is. Different zip codes mean different dress codes, and the attitude in Venice is very relaxed. Denim and comfy shoes reign supreme, and a knit is a must to combat the almost-always-present marine layer. Most of my bolder pieces have been relegated to the back of my closet, awaiting invites for martinis at Tower Bar, dancing at A Club Called Rhonda, and too much pasta at Little Dom’s. So while my highlights may not be low-maintenance, my approach to daily dressing is.

Keep reading for three of my tried-and-true outfits for your next trip to the beach.

Levi’s x Barbie Ferreira Features Plus-Size Denim — Here Are My Favorite Pieces

The first item I gravitated to in the collection were the ’90s 501s jeans with a distinct grunge-goth vibe, in both the cut and the abstract bunny sketch (a Ferreira favorite) rendered in a bleach spatter effect. In terms of fit, this pair feels noticeably tighter than my other 501s. This might be because this zero-stretch style needs a breaking-in period (something I’ve found with other non-stretch Levi’s as well), but even after a few wears to try to loosen them up, I would not describe this pair as a “loose fit.” I’ve since been able to wear them out and will continue to do so in shorter spurts until they mold to my body because this style is just too good to pass up. But if, like me, you have a belly at all, I’d recommend sizing up if you don’t want to deal with the breaking-in process.

  • These 18 Pairs of Jeans Are Cute, Comfortable, and Under $75—You’re Welcome

These 18 Pairs of Jeans Are Cute, Comfortable, and Under $75—You’re Welcome

There’s nothing worse than an ill-fitting pair of jeans, especially expensive ones. Nowadays, it feels like jeans prices are through the roof while the return on investment in terms of quality and comfort no longer exists. Personally, I’ve paid way too much for jeans that either pinch, squeeze, or suffocate me without flattering my figure or making me feel secure. While I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with luxury jeans over the years of being an editor, I have to admit that sometimes the jeans I constantly gravitate toward are some of the cheapest.

Whether it’s by word-of-mouth recommendations from my friends, spending hours reading and watching reviews, or trying these jeans for myself, these 18 pairs of under-$75 jeans are some of the best on the market, hands down. It’s Go Time, People: Shopbop Just Restocked Its Levi’s Selection

When it comes to jeans, nobody does it better than Levi’s. Many denim brands want to act like theirs are better, and in some ways, perhaps they are. In terms of overall superiority, though, it’s hard to argue that anyone can beat a classic pair of 501 Levi’s, which is why it’s such a big deal that the original denim brand’s jeans are so affordable. Whereas most high-quality denim these days costs between $200 and $500, Levi’s are almost all in the under-$150 category. It’s kind of a miracle.

You know what else is a miracle? Finding the style you want in the color and size you want, especially from a retailer like Shopbop that can get them to your door with Amazon Prime–level shipping speed. Knowing that, you can imagine my excitement when I went to peruse its selection of Levi’s and found a shocking number of SKUs in stock. Naturally, I ran to my laptop to tell the world about it (after ordering a few restocks of my favorite pairs, of course). Since joining the American denim label earlier this year as a guest creative director and brand collaborator, Chamberlain has remixed some of Levi’s pieces into elevated, cool Gen Z takes. Known for their production abilities, which exude talent and refinement, Kinder quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the dance music community.

Bringing an infectious energy to their live performances, Kinder has a stage presence unlike any other…and it translates into the crowd as well. The love both Briony and Savannah Osei have for not only making music, but creating well-rounded, refined music that is innovative. Despite being insane remix queens (and dropping two this year with “Like It” and “This 1 Thing”), their latest single, “Lightyears”, is an original piece of work by the duo which solidifies their range in dance music.

“Lightyears” is a bit of a change sonically for Kinder, the perfect club sound lies within this song. It’s Kinder to their core, despite it being a sound they haven’t really delved into yet. With club music roots, and help from London producer BCBC, they tapped their vocals, instrumental abilities, and production prowess into one of their favorite tracks yet. You can listen to “Lightyears” here:

It’s been quite the year for Kinder, who headlined events like Vogue x Barbie and the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and supported some of the biggest names in house music such as Marshmello, RL Grime, Big Freedia, and more. Hailed as the female version of Fred Again…, everywhere they go, the gain more and more fans thanks to the magic of their performances, the quality of their songs, and their vibrant personalities.

“Lightyears” is the beginning of a new era for Kinder, and we spoke with them about this crazy year they’ve been having below!

PD: You’ve done a bunch of fun live events this year like the Vogue x Barbie event and performing at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix! Do you prepare for these performances differently than a festival or tour show?

These shows were so much fun. For shows like these, we usually select for the theme of the event. We played lots of throw back nostalgic 90’s songs at the Barbie event, compared to dropping heavy house tunes at festival shows!

PD: What was it like supporting some of the biggest names in dance music like Marshmello and Big Freedia?

Marshmello was one of our first big supports slots when we started, that was a surreal moment for us as we were so new to the scene and we were thrown into the deep end supporting him, but it was such a huge fun moment for us and our career. Big Freedia’s tour was really inspiring. The show is so engaging and high energy.

PD: Your new track, “Lightyears”, is out now! What was the inspiration behind the song?

It definitely has a 90s inspo to it! We love the techno / house music scene from back then, so we were definitely taking some cues from that celebrated era of dance music. And of course always inspired to add an energetic chant section like in the chorus.

PD: When you’re sitting down to make a track together, what is your creation process like?

It changes all the time, depending on if it’s just or a collaboration. When it’s just us, we start with the beat, usually finding a fun drum pattern, something that feels infectious, then we start riffing off vocal melodies – whatever we’re subconsciously feeling that day, and then that flows through lyrically.

PD: You’ve had a big year with brand deals as well with Bonds, White Claw, and Levis! How has it been incorporating your music with these huge brands?

They’ve all been super amazing to work with. We live in a time where it can be hard to discover music, specifically dance music, so we’re grateful to share our music in different and fun ways that might be a little alternate. It’s also fun for our family to see us randomly on Billboards or on cutouts inside the mall.

PD: What’s next in this busy 2023 for you both?

We’re preparing for festival session in Australia. We’ve been mostly overseas all year, so it will be nice to head back home for the summer. We might have some more “Soundsystem” tracks dropping at the end of the year too, which is our project where we make new club versions of iconic tracks.

  • Fall 2023 Fashion Outlook

    Fall 2023 Fashion Outlook

One of my favorite things to do every night before bed is fill my online cart with tons of clothes. Call me delusional or a dreamer, but I love to think about what I would buy in an ideal world. Spending all this time window shopping also helps me figure out what’s trending, and what styles might be surging into popularity soon.

I’ve always been the type of person who emphasizes the importance of a bomb outfit. Nothing impacts my confidence like what fit I’m rocking. It’s my duty to serve.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, the streets of the city are flooded with luxury-clad off-duty models showing us the ropes. Fashion Weeks are a good indicator of what everyone else will be wearing soon enough.

The stylish cohorts walking the streets of FW are already sporting future trends – like when everyone was wearing the MSCHF Big Red Boots around. Before you know it, we’ll be ditching our linen sets and fluorescent colors for whatever Bella Hadid is wearing. It’s a never ending rollercoaster, but we prevail.

Fall fashion 2023 will have elements of the familiar, plus a few dark horses. There will be pieces that look like an old friend to you, buried deep in your closet from when they were last trending, and pieces that will soon flood fashion store floors in mass quantities.

If you’re feeling a little lost shopping for those fall fits, here’s what I’ve found:

The 30 Best Fall 2023 Jeans From Levi’s, Agolde, and Reformation

I don’t know about you but I’m unbelievably tired of wearing shorts. But alas, it was 98 degrees today where I live. That doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about wearing jeans again though. If I look back at my past order histories, I’m quite sure that my most common month for ordering new jeans would be September. It’s when fresh new styles are stocked in every size and when I begin filling in the holes in my fall wardrobe. So selfishly, I turned my quest for new jeans into a shopping story featuring three of my favorite brands.

Agolde, Levi’s, and Reformation are three of my go-to brands for denim. They always have both the latest trends and the classics, and for reasonable price points. Below, you’ll find my current favorite styles from each brand, some of which I may or may not be ordering as soon as I publish this story. Scroll to shop along with me.

  • The $50 Shorts I’m Buying to Mimic Hailey Bieber’s Most-Worn Outfit of 2023

The $50 Shorts I’m Buying to Mimic Hailey Bieber’s Most-Worn Outfit of 2023

Given how often I check street style blogs and photo agency pages, I pretty much see every single outfit worn by celebrities, and of them all, Hailey Bieber‘s the one I spot the most. But this summer, I’ve found it hard to keep track of all of her looks, particularly because they all sort of look the same. You see, while her nighttime ‘fits have been all across the board, her daytime ones have mostly revolved around one item: her Denim by Orlee vintage 501 Levi’s shorts.

So far this summer, I’ve counted five occasions that Bieber’s worn the baggy, low-rise cutoffs, whether she’s posted the outfits herself on Instagram or been photographed wearing them around NYC and LA. On most of them, she’s paired the shorts with her go-to white Leset cropped Kelly tee, a black-and-gold The Row belt, white socks, and either loafers or Adidas Sambas. To dress up the shorts, she added a Khaite strapless corset top on one occasion, and on others, statement earrings and designer bags, including Bottega Veneta’s Jodie and Saint Laurent’s Le 5 à 7 tote.

With practically all of the fashion world to choose from, it says a lot that Bieber can’t stop coming back for more with these Levi’s shorts. Sadly, Denim By Orlee’s offering of similar styles is limited right now. That’s why I searched the web and found a stellar on-sale alt from Urban Outfitters’ Urban Renewal line that’ll get you the look in no time. Scroll down to see Bieber’s shorts looks and shop the $50 jorts.

  • How Each of the Most Popular Levi’s Jeans Fit IRL

How Each of the Most Popular Levi’s Jeans Fit IRL

Last year while I was in NYC for work and while catching up with some of my colleagues, the topic of Levi’s jeans fits came up. They asked me for any wisdom about which styles were best and what they should look for. The next day, an invitation to come to Coachella with Levi’s landed in my inbox. Denim destiny? I thought so.

Fast-forward a few weeks, and there I was in Palm Desert, surrounded by every Levi’s jeans fit you can imagine, from its new silhouttes to vintage finds. Plus, the design team was on hand to give fit advice and walk us through each and every pair. I tried on a giant stack of jeans. I’m embarrassed to admit I was a bit of a dressing-room hog that day, but anything for the story, right? After photographing my favorites, including some Boomerangs to capture them in action, I was surprised to find that my picks were all new styles.

I’m a bona fide vintage jeans devotee, so this was not what I expected at all. To get more insight into the backstory of each style and how they fit, I sat down with Karyn Hillman, Levi’s chief product officer. Keep reading to hear her take on all the best jeans fits, plus my point of view too. PS: If you’re thinking about snagging a pair yourself and need a reference point, I’m 5’4’’ and wear a size 26.
