WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Legoland Florida Resort announced details on its new, indoor roller coaster on Tuesday.
Guests will soon be able to adventure around the galaxy aboard the coaster with a space-themed experience, officials said.
The new area will feature:
- The Ultimate Indoor Coaster Experience: Guests will blast off from the “Legoland Spaceport 885” launchpad, named in homage to one of the original Lego Space Scooter sets, #885. This ride will mark the first roller coaster to open inside the main Legoland Florida theme park since the resort’s debut in 2011.
- Orbital Outpost: Guests can commemmorate their mission at a retail shop packed with stellar souvenirs, space gear and Lego sets.
- Queue Experience: The journey begins before takeoff with a covered, story-driven queue area inside Legoland Spaceport 885 that invites families to engage, imagine and prepare for launch.
- Duplo Tot Spot for Tiny Astronauts: Little space explorers can jump, crawl and play in this shaded, soft-surfaced area featuring Duplo bricks, vehicles, characters and a photo op, with nearby seating for adults. The play area is for kids ages 1-4.
The new experience is set to launch at both Legoland Florida Resort and Legoland California Resorts in 2026, officials said.
More details about the ride, including the official ride name and grand opening, will be revealed at a later date.
