She paired the suit with a handbag with details forming a trompe-l’oeil face and a pair of red five-inch pumps to create the total look.
The second version was in shades of gray. Chosen for Dior’s Haute Couture show, this outfit consisting of a waist-hugging jacket and a pencil skirt, is an archival piece that comes straight from the Parisian fashion house’s Fall-Winter 1998 collection, when John Galliano was in charge of creative direction.

With the 2026 Met Gala theme being announced, many people were blindsided that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s names were attached to the ball held on the first Monday of May. However, new reports have alleged that the deal was thoroughly planned out, and the billionaires have taken most of the reins.
According to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, the couple has “seized control” of the Met Gala. “They aren’t just donors,” a longtime Met insider shared. “Jeff is writing the checks. Lauren is making the calls. They’re basically running the Gala.” While Vogue’s Anna Wintour is still the chair of the world-famous gala, sources claim that Sánchez’s influence is strong. “Anna’s shadow is still long,” the insider says, “but make no mistake — everyone is suddenly orbiting Jeff and Lauren.”
The former journalist is reportedly calling the shots by “calling designers, pushing for a glossier, sexier Gala, and positioning herself as the new celebrity whisperer.”
In an interview with the New York Times, Wintour defended the couple as sponsors, saying that Sánchez “loves costumes” and “loves fashion,” referring to the Gala’s theme “Costume Art.” This also isn’t the first time that Bezos held a big position for the Met Gala. Amazon sponsored the 2012 gala, and he served as honorary chair.
The report comes months after rumors spread that Jeff Bezos was gifting Vogue and Condé Nast to Sánchez as a wedding gift. A source told the Daily Mail back in July: “The rumour that Jeff is going to buy Condé Nast is all anyone’s talking about in the fashion industry and inside Vogue,” adding, “Lauren Sanchez is such an unlikely cover star, and the word is that she landed the July issue partly because the Newhouse family want to butter up Bezos. In New York they’re slimming down the business which is exactly what companies do before a sale.”
The source continued, “Anna is said to be the one brokering the deal so that’s why Lauren was put on the cover. Anna has equity in the business so has a lot to gain from a sale.”
Wintour stepped as Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue, with Chloe Malle was promoted to Head of Editorial Content. Wintour will remain in her global roles as Condé Nast’s Global Chief Content Officer and Vogue’s Global Editorial Director.

Perry recently called things off with her boyfriend of nearly a decade, Orlando Bloom. The two reportedly broke up around the time of Lauren Sánchez’s wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Bloom attended the nuptials by himself while Perry was on her Lifetimes tour.
However, Bloom’s attendance was a point of contention with Perry. “Katy feels like they’re really her friends more than his, and yet he’s the one going to the wedding,” the Daily Mail reported. “And he’s insistent that he goes, which annoys her because he’s not particularly close to either of them. She feels like it’s a ‘f*** you’ to her from him.”
The ex-couple released a statement at the time: “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the statement read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
As for Perry and Trudeau’s romance, it seems to be going extremely well. “Katy is really into it. She’s very happy,” an inside source tells Us Weekly. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”

Jeff Bezos Makes Major Financial Decision After Report He & Lauren Sanchez Are Going to Court For Money

Jeff Bezos is probably making big financial decisions every day. Bezos, who is better known for being the founder of Amazon, is after all, one of the richest men in the world. And the fact that every little thing he does is scrutinized comes from that, of course, but also from the personal drama people feel invested in. First there was the divorce from Mackenzie Scott, which made her a billionaire. Then his recent lavish Venice wedding to journalist Lauren Sánchez. But what exactly has Bezos done now?
Well, he’s sold his Seattle mansion after two years of living in Miami with his wife, Lauren Sánchez. And the numbers are staggering. The Puget Sound Business Journal first reported the property was sold for $63 million.

The property was one Bezos bought in 2019. He originally purchased it for $37.5 million, so he made more than $25 million from the sale. It’s located in the neighborhood of Hunts Point in King County, which overlooks Lake Washington and is about seven miles from Amazon HQ in downtown Seattle. Seems like Bezos doesn’t anticipate a need to return to company HQ anytime soon.
Part of it might have to do with the fact that he seems divesting of Amazon stock, to the point that today his ownership stake in Amazon is less than 10%. In a disclosure this year Bezos reported that he held 9.6% of the company’s outstanding shares. He has unloaded more than 100 million shares in the past year alone. Last year, Bezos owned 10.1% of the company. In 1997, when the company went public, he owned 43%.
Despite how much things have changed for Bezos, it’s important to remember that his net worth is still somewhere north of $220 billion. So he’s not exactly hurting for money, but that clearly doesn’t mean he’s not trying to earn more when he can. For example, at court.
This all comes amid the still ongoing legal battle with his wife’s estranged brother Michael Sánchez. It all ties back to reports that Bezos and Sánchez were having an affair, which first surfaced while she was still married to Patrick Whitesell. The reports came with X-rated photos from their private texts, which were at the time blamed on Sánchez’s brother.
Michael Sánchez denied all charges, calling his sister and Bezos “liars and cheaters” and even sued them for defamation. The Los Angeles County Superior Court ruled in Bezos’ favor, however, with the Amazon founder then requesting that Sánchez covers all legal feels.
Page Six reported that Bezos’ legal team filed a motion in California Superior Court demanding that Michael Sánchez pay $182,374 in attorney’s fees and $8,182 in legal costs, “incurred in connection with (1) her successful Special Motion to Strike, and (2) this Motion for Attorney’s Fees and Costs.”
Twenty-five million over a house, almost 200 thousand in attorney’s fees. It might not be anywhere near the same number, but Bezos is still clearly thinking like a businessman.

The Jeff Bezos and Mackenzie Scott drama is pretty well known. At this point in the story, Scott has moved on—with a lot of money—and Bezos has married again, to journalist Lauren Sánchez. So, people are mostly worried about the new couple and, of course, Mackenzie Scott’s charitable endeavors. Because that’s what the former Mrs. Bezos has mostly spent her money on.
And now, come reports that Scott has slashed her stake in Amazon by about 42%, or $12.6 billion, over the past year. That’s quite a number, and yet not one that seems to have made as much of a dent as one would believe in her fortune. The philanthropist now holds 81.1 million shares of the company her ex-husband founded, down 58 million from this time last year, according to Bloomberg.

Scott, who has vowed to donate most of her fortune in life, has reportedly donated over $19 billion dollars since her 2019 divorce from Bezos. Yes, billions with a b. She has gained a reputation for giving donations to small nonprofits with no conditions. Her net worth is reported to be around about $32.5 billion, according to Forbes. Not a shabby number considering how much she’s donated so far and how much she’s said she would be donating in the future.
Bezos, meanwhile, owns around 9% of the company he founded in 1994 and his net worth is $230.2 billion.
All this talk about Mackenzie Scott’s charitable endeavors comes after reports that the legal battle her ex and his new wife are involved in with her estranged brother, Michael Sánchez, continues. This all ties back to Scott, in a way. Reports of an affair between Bezos and Sánchez first surfaced while she was still married to Patrick Whitesell. Those reports indicate the relationship started while Bezos was married to Scott, as well. And the reports came with proof, in the form of X-rated photos from their private texts. At the time, her brother was accused of being the source of those leaks.
Michael Sánchez denied this, calling his sister and her new husband “liars and cheaters.” He then sued them for defamation. The Los Angeles County Superior Court, however, ruled in Bezos’ favor. That’s when Bezos asked for legal fees to be covered by Michael Sánchez.
In the meantime, Mackenzie Scott got her divorce and seemingly remains unbothered by the drama of her ex and his new wife. She’ll just continue using the money she got in her divorce settlement in the way she feels she can do the most good, which—to the philanthropist—means donating most of it to what she considers worthy causes. Something to be admired, for sure.

Lauren Sánchez shared how she and fiancé Jeff Bezos approach philanthropy in a new interview — and she said that one thing “people don’t really know” about Bezos is that he put an 8-floor, 63,000-square-foot homeless shelter inside an Amazon office building in Seattle.
The Hollywood Reporter released a conversation between Sánchez and Eva Longoria on Tuesday. Longoria asked Sánchez about her and Bezos’s approach to philanthropy, and Sánchez stated that “Jeff is extremely focused, as you can imagine.”

“We really look for organizations that are not only addressing urgent issues but also have a clear, impactful plan for making a difference,” Sánchez said.
Longoria and Sánchez have been friends for 20 years, with Longoria winning $50 million through the Bezos Courage and Civility Award in March.
Sánchez emphasized the $10 billion Bezos Earth Fund, which focuses on climate-related innovation, nature restoration, and climate justice. She also noted Amazon’s collaboration with Mary’s Place, an organization that helps support homeless families.
“One thing that Jeff did with Mary’s Place is he put the homeless shelter inside Amazon’s offices in Seattle which is incredible,” Sánchez said. “I know. It’s crazy that people don’t really know about this that much.”

Amazon employees just have to go downstairs to volunteer their time at the shelter, Sánchez added.

Amazon opened the shelter in May 2020, with space for up to 200 people every night. The facility has a health clinic, kitchen and dining areas, playrooms for children, and office space so Amazon’s legal team can offer legal help.

The shelter is kept private from Amazon offices through separate entrances.
Amazon reported that in 2020, the center provided more than 85 families with emergency housing.
Bezos has posted about the shelter on social media. In April 2021, for example, he posted a video of him and Sánchez taking Washington State Governor Jay Inslee through a tour of the facility.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index at the time of writing, Bezos is the second richest person in the world with a net worth of $221 billion. Sánchez has a net worth of $30 million, per Prestige.

Jeff Bezos Commits $100M in Grants for AI Solutions to Climate Change

The billionaire is looking for tech-focused solutions to counter climate change. The Amazon (AMZN) founder’s Bezos Earth Fund will invest up to $100 million into solutions through the A.I. for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge, a new initiative urging applicants to propose ways to utilize emerging technologies for environmental good.
“Can modern A.I. help counter climate change and nature loss, and, if so, how? That’s the question we hope to answer,” said Bezos, currently the second wealthiest person in the world with an estimated net worth of $197.7 billion, in a statement. “By bringing together brilliant minds across fields, we may be able to invent new ways forward.”
Bezos first launched his environmentally-focused philanthropic fund in 2020 with a pledge to invest $10 billion toward fighting climate change over the next decade. It has given out some $2 billion through 230 grants thus far, focusing primarily on food system transformation, decarbonization efforts and nature conservation.

Now, the fund is asking those working at universities, NGOs, private companies and global organizations to apply for grants that could help A.I. climate solutions come to fruition. For the first round of the Grand Challenge, Bezos is seeking solutions in the focus areas of sustainable proteins, biodiversity conservation and power grid optimization, with an additional “Wild Card” category for solutions falling outside the priority areas. Projects could include using A.I. to find protein alternatives with small environmental footprints, applying the technology to integrate renewable energy into electricity grids around the globe or utilizing vision and sound recognition to find new animal species, according to the Bezos Earth Fund.
The organization has already made notable investments in the sustainable protein arena, having committed $60 million earlier this year to establish research centers focused on increasing the quality and nutritional benefits of meat alternatives. In February, it partnered with the Jane Goodall Institute-USA to expand conservation efforts across forests in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of the Congo.
Using A.I. to solve climate challenges
“The future is unlikely to be characterized by straight lines and gentle curves, but rather by unexpected changes and tipping points, good or bad,” said Andrew Steer, president and CEO of the Bezos Earth Fund, in a statement, adding that the arrival of A.I. “will potentially solve very difficult challenges.” The A.I. for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge will have two phases, with the first awarding up to 30 seed grants for promising A.I. solutions. Awardees will be announced in September at a Bezos Earth Fund-TED event during Climate Week NYC and will subsequently be allowed to apply for grants up to $2 million, with the opportunity to receive support from tech leaders and access to relevant infrastructures and databases.
Bezos has previously proclaimed his support of A.I., calling himself “optimistic” about its potential for innovation and discovery in a 2023 podcast with computer scientist Lex Fridman. “Even in the face of all this uncertainty, my own view is that these powerful tools are much more likely to help us and save us than they are to unbalance, hurt us and destroy us,” he said.
Applications for the inaugural edition of the Bezos’ Grand Challenge will open next month, and there are plans to address alternative climate priorities in subsequent rounds.

What Does Anna Wintour Know?

We all have a hill that we’ll gladly die on. My roommate routinely goes on tirades about how no movie should be over 90 minutes (sorry, Scorcese). A lot of people on the internet are currently committed to the hill (read: conspiracy theory) that Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet are a PR stunt engineered by Kris.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it over and over for the rest of my life: mine is that the Kim and Kanye Vogue cover of September 2014 caused a major vibe shift.
This, to me, is the first cultural domino to fall and we’re still living in its aftermath. It’s the hill I hope they bury me on. So let me explain.
The September issue of Vogue is a big deal. It’s an extra thick, extra coveted issue because it’s usually the highest circulation month and advertisers literally fight — and bribe — for their spots in it. So do models, celebrities, and brands. Therefore, the unveiling of the September cover is always a big deal. In 2014, Vogue took a giant gamble: putting Kim and Kanye on the cover to celebrate their wedding.
These days, a Kim K cover would be a no-brainer — she was just GQ’s Man of the Year, for example, and posed on the cover with a bag of Cheetos — and a Kanye cover would be unfathomable — he’s in Wyoming somewhere, canceled. But in 2014, Kanye was a certified rap royalty and Kim Kardashian was still only known for her reality show and penchant for bandage dresses.
Almost a decade ago now (do you feel old yet?), the cultural landscape was completely different. Rap music, for example, had been popular for years but was only just going from a fringe genre to a welcomed part of the mainstream. So, although Kanye was a household name, he was a surprising choice for the cover. His fashion foray, Yeezy, was still getting its sea legs and not yet the giant it would become. And as for Kim? She was pretty much a joke.
But this Vogue cover changed it all. People were outraged— saying Vogue had lost the plot and that it was going downhill — but Anna Wintour stuck to her guns. She took a risk, made a bet that KimYe would be fashion’s next hottest couple, and, against all odds, she was right.
After that cover, fashion changed. So did culture itself. Slowly but surely, we entered the streetwear and hypebeast era. Ruled by sneakers and sweatsuits, this era embraced a hip-hop-inspired take on fashion that contrasted with the business-casual attire of the late 2000s and the millennial hipster chic of the early 2010s. Supreme became the hottest brand on the market. Sweatpants became acceptable club attire. And meanwhile, KimYe was proving Anna Wintour right one Yeezy ensemble at a time.
Anna’s gamble also foreshadowed how intertwined fashion would become with celebrity culture. These days, front rows of fashion shows are filled with actors, singers, and internet personalities over editors and industry vets. Budding industry darlings make names for themselves by becoming “fashion girls” and partnering with brands like Loewe, Schiaparelli, and Jacquemus. Even Kylie Jenner just launched a fashion line — maybe we’ll see her grace the cover of Vogue next.
But now, Anna has taken yet another risk.
Out of nowhere, just days ago, Vogue Magazine posted a very surprising pair on social media: Amazon billionaire CEO Jeff Bezos and his new wife Lauren Sanchez.
The write-up was even weirder. From comparing Bezos to Iron Man (he wishes) to revealing that Lauren once outbid Kim Kardashian on a dress for $200,000… this Vogue spread felt like a paid advertisement for Jeff Bezos’s mid-life crisis. Don’t get me wrong, I love it when hot girls have post-divorce revenge eras — like Em Rata or even Jeremy Allen White — but Jeff Bezos? We can’t give him the validation.
And I’m not alone in thinking this. Vogue readers were fuming. Just check the comment section or the TikTok video essays. In the court of public opinion, billionaire Bezos is not winning. Some readers asked how much Bezos was shelling out for this profile, while others pointed out that Mackenzie Scott, his ex-wife who has committed to donating her fortune, would have been a better feature.
But I can’t help but wonder: what does Anna Wintour know? Could another vibe shift be imminent? Now that we’re used to seeing celebrities leverage fashion in service of their fashion brand, will we be seeing tech moguls and billionaires do the same? Next thing you know, Elon Musk will be the face of Balenciaga and all the tech kingpins will stop trying to go to space and instead try to score invites to the Met Gala and Vogue World.
If that’s where all this is headed, it’s looking pretty bleak. Not to undermine Anna’s judgment, but in this scenario, I hope she’s wrong.

Lauren Sanchez Gives Vogue Details on Jeff Bezos Engagement | Entrepreneur

Lauren Sánchez made headlines in 2019 when she and her fiance, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, went public with their relationship, and she’s since made a name for herself in the world of philanthropy — and soon, space exploration.
The former broadcast journalist and founder of aviation company Black Ops Aviation recently sat down with Vogue in a tell-all interview, where she shed light on her relationship with Bezos, her plans to travel out of the atmosphere, and how philanthropy plays a role in her life.
On the lavishness of the couple’s upcoming nuptials
“We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet,” she told Vogue. “We’ve only been engaged five months!”
Bezos, 59, and Sánchez, 53 were engaged in May in a private moment inside their home, something the public was not aware of at the time. Sánchez told the outlet that she found the engagement ring box underneath her pillow, which she found right before heading to bed.

Sanchez is aware, of course, of what marrying Bezos and his fortune entails, and how the financials of such a major commitment will play out. Bezos is currently the No. 2 richest man in the world with $166 billion, per Bloomberg.
“I think there are a lot of opportunities that come with that, and I take those opportunities very seriously,” she said, noting that she will be taking Bezos’ last name. “We always look at each other and go, ‘We’re the team.’ So everything’s shared.”
On space exploration
Sánchez told Vogue that she will be traveling into space next year on Blue Origin’s New Shepard, though she left the details vague, noting that she will be flying alongside five (so far unnamed) women who are “paving the way.”

She also tried to shed light on why Bezos is so passionate about space exploration, and justified the practice as an informative and educational tool instead of just a joyride throwaway for the extremely wealthy.
“Jeff always says, ‘Building the road to space so that our children can build the future.’ And that’s what it’s about,” she explained. “Launch, land, repeat, over and over so that we can figure out how to have reusable rockets.”

On the couple’s morning routine
Sánchez said she and Bezos try to keep off their phones when they wake up.
“We try not to get on our phones right away,” Sánchez says. “That’s what I’m working on.”
And through recommendations of famous friends, such as Diane Von Furstenberg (who reportedly hosted the couple’s engagement party last weekend), the couple has started journaling.
“We’re not quite there,” admits Sánchez. “We’ll do it, like, three days a week.”
On philanthropy
Sánchez, who now serves as the Vice Chair of the Bezos Earth Fund, also works with This Is About Humanity and the Bezos Day One Fund.

“We really want to do the most we can with the dollars that we put into things,” she said. “It’s not about just giving the money away. It’s about being involved … I think Jeff and I really are focusing on the long-term commitment to climate, and we’re extremely optimistic about it.”

Jeff Bezos must have hit his head pretty hard over the weekend…or perhaps he had a Dickens-esque Christmas Carol moment.
Either way, in the past 24 hours, the Amazon founder Bezos gave away a majority of his $124 billion fortune to fight climate change and unify humanity. In addition, he awarded Dolly Parton with the Courage and Civility Award, which comes with $100 million that Dolly can donate to charities of her choice.
Woah. So maybe bullying the 1% does work after all. After years of begging Bezos to have some compassion for us lowly Amazon shoppers, did he finally hear us? Or maybe he got tired of the accusations that he was a robot with no feelings.
This is a huge milestone for one of the richest men in the world…one who infamously refrained from signing The Giving Pledge. The mega-rich – think Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffet – commit to give away most of their money to charitable causes in their lifetime.
This may be thanks to Bezos’ girlfriend, Lauren Sánchez, who’s a journalist turned philanthropist. The pair sat down with CNN to chat about Bezos’ new “giving” persona…the first time he has ever explicitly agreed that he would donate a large sum of his money to charity.
Or maybe it’s connected to the philanthropic acts of ex-wife MacKenzie Scott. Scott – an author and committed philanthropist – signed The Giving Pledge post-divorce and has already donated half of her $24 billion net worth to charitable organizations.
Most likely, it’s because Amazon’s laying off 10,000 employees by the end of the week…but apparently that’s neither here nor there for Bezos.

Dolly Parton receives $100 million Courage and Civility Award from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez | CNN

Dolly Parton is the latest recipient of the Bezos Courage and Civility Award.
“Jeff [Bezos] and I are so proud to share that we have a new Bezos Courage and Civility Award winner — a woman who gives with her heart and leads with love and compassion in every aspect of her work,” Bezos’ longtime partner, Lauren Sanchez, posted on Instagram alongside a video of their speech Friday before awarding the grant to the country music legend and longtime philanthropist.
“We can’t wait to see all the good that you’re going to do with this $100 million award, @DollyParton.”
Parton, who has donated to various causes for decades, publicly thanked Bezos and Sanchez on Twitter.
“I try to put my money where my heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money,” Parton tweeted. “Thank you @JeffBezos #LaurenSanchez”
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Parton donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s vaccine research efforts. It was partly used to fund Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine.
She said in an interview at the time with BBC’s “The One Show,” that she felt “honored and proud.”
“I just felt so proud to have been part of that little seed money that will hopefully grow into something great and help to heal this world,” she said. “I’m a very proud girl today to know I had anything at all to do with something that’s going to help us through this crazy pandemic.”
In 1988, Parton established the Dollywood Foundation, and eventually The Imagination Library, a program that helps children across the world access books.
Among her philanthropic efforts in her home state of Tennessee, Parton also created the Dolly Parton Scholarship, which provides $15,000 to recipients towards a college education.
Last year, Bezos awarded $100 million each to CNN contributor Van Jones and chef José Andrés.
Bezos, the founder and former head of Amazon.com, said at a news conference at the time the grant had no strings attached.
“They can give it all to their own charity,” Bezos said last year. “Or they can share the wealth. It is up to them.”
