  • Laura Harrier and Saint Laurent Bring Rock and Roll Glam to Oscar Weekend

Laura Harrier and Saint Laurent Bring Rock and Roll Glam to Oscar Weekend

Vacarello joined Saint Laurent in 2016 after a successful tenure as head of creative at Versus Versace. Since taking over the brand, he has infused it with sensuality, sophistication, and new-age glamor, giving patrons an opportunity to feel like the most confident version of themselves. “He creates worlds you want to be a part of,” Harrier said. “I think he is always on the cutting edge while still being able to reference Yves St. Laurent himself in an incredible way that pays tribute to his genius while creating a path of his own.”

Vacarello is known to consider every aspect of his designs, down to the accessories, and Harrier’s ensemble was no exception. “The cuff is to die for and the diamond ring sparkles in a way that makes your heart skip a beat,” she said.

Asked about her newly announced role in Michael, Harrier said, “It is such an honor to be portraying such an incredible, iconic woman, and to be working with Antoine Fuqua, who is a director that I’ve been dreaming of working with for a long time.”

Harrier was joined at the intimate gathering by a glittering crowd that included Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Wilde, Zoe Kravitz, Channing Tatum, Donald Glover, Hailey Bieber, Salma Hayek Pinault, and François-Henri Pinault, as well as a trio of headlining Oppenheimer nominees: Christopher Nolan, Cillian Murphy, and Robert Downey Jr. Guests handicapped Sunday’s race over burgers and fries wrapped in Saint Laurent–branded black-and-white containers. • From Taylor Swift to Laura Harrier, the Under-$150 Buys Celebs Are All Wearing

From Taylor Swift to Laura Harrier, the Under-$150 Buys Celebs Are All Wearing

When celebrities choose to wear an affordable item, we tend to take notice. Seeing as Hollywood has access to the very best in everything (the best facialists, manicurists, and of course, stylists), it should come as no surprise that the wardrobe’s of the A-list would be equally as exclusive. And for the most part, they are. Celebs make headlines for wearing the latest designer It bag and those designers also clamor to have famous faces wear their collections. In other words, most celebs have their pick of luxury labels, but they love an affordable fashion find just like us because, well, sometimes the cheaper option really is the best.

Recently we’ve noticed some of the best-dressed stars in wallet-friendly pieces, so we figured it was worth sharing. From the $10 tights Taylor Swift wore all over NYC to the sneakers Jennifer Lawrence just stepped out in that could be the next It pair, these are the under-$150 items celebrities are prioritizing right now.

  • The $58 Nordstrom Top I Need to Copy JLaw and Laura Harrier’s Easy Fall Looks

The $58 Nordstrom Top I Need to Copy JLaw and Laura Harrier’s Easy Fall Looks

If getting dressed every morning is the biggest stress point of your day, you’re probably just lacking a few core wardrobe pieces, items that you can grab for time and time again and style in dozens of different ways. Take, for instance, a white button-down shirt. The sleeves can be worn rolled or long, it can be tucked or untucked, layered or worn totally solo. A sweater can go around its shoulders or on top of it, and any bottoms really work as a partner, from jeans to trousers. By adding just one to your closet, you open yourself up to a wealth of outfit possibilities.

Proof of this lies in the varying ways Jennifer Lawrence and Laura Harrier were seen wearing the classic shirt style, one in New York City and the other in Los Angeles. Lawrence wore a folded-sleeve option by The Row unbuttoned halfway down and tucked into belted black trousers from the same brand for a night out with a friend. Across the country, Harrier took a more casual approach, styling her oversize button down untucked with blue jeans, ballet flats, and a navy knit that, at one point, was draped over her shoulders. She also added her go-to Saint Laurent Le 5 À 7 shoulder bag and tiny sunglasses for her Los Feliz lunch date with her fiancé Sam Jarou and their dog. See what I mean about endless opportunities?

Scroll down to see how they wore the timeless wardrobe staple and shop the $58 Nordstrom version from Topshop that I’m snatching up to recreate both of their looks this fall.

  • The $89 Nordstrom Dress I Just Overnighted to Copy Laura Harrier’s NYFW LBD

The $89 Nordstrom Dress I Just Overnighted to Copy Laura Harrier’s NYFW LBD

New York Fashion Week always comes with a bevy of stylish outfit inspiration, whether it’s coming from editors, influencers, stylists, runway collections, or celebrities. Attendees and designers alike work for weeks and even months to perfect what’s displayed during the week-long event, so of course, the resulting ensembles are often a huge success. But sometimes, style during fashion week can err a bit on the overtop side. And since my style sways more minimal than maximal, I always appreciate when someone debuts an outfit that whispers instead of screams.

One such person is Laura Harrier, who attended a NYFW kick-off party for Fossil wearing a deep-V, polo-neck LBD that featured breast pockets and a maxi hemline with a gold chain necklace and black boots. The look is just the sort I talk endlessly about to my friends and coworkers, swooning over the timeless appeal and sexy yet sophisticated elegance of it all. Luckily, it didn’t take me long to find an $89 similarly polo-neck black dress from Nordstrom’s in-house label Open Edit, a brand every editor keeps in their back pocket, that gives off a near-exact vibe to Harrier’s. And with NYFW still very much going strong, I simply have to have it to wear, like, tomorrow. Shop the LBD I’m overnighting for my own fashion-week events and more gorgeous black dresses for fall below.

  • The 6 Brands That Are Dominating Celebrity Street Style

The 6 Brands That Are Dominating Celebrity Street Style

Some brands are big on Instagram. Others dominate in niche fashion circles. And then there are the ones that kill on the celebrity street style scene. As someone who browses photo agencies on the daily, searching for new, chic celeb outfits to write about on Who What Wear, I pretty much see every item that’s worn by Hollywood’s and NYC’s most famous dressers, from Jennifer Lawrence and Zoë Kravitz to Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber.

Though you’re bound to see every brand under the sun at least once if you truly dig into the celebrity outfit archives, 99% of the time, the people who get the most attention on the streets are wearing items from a small handful of brands. Kravitz, Bieber, and Laura Harrier, as friends of the house of Saint Laurent, almost always have at least one thing on them that was made by the French label. Lawrence and Jenner have become mega-fans of The Row, donning minimal garments and footwear from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s luxury brand on the regular. Sofia Richie Grainge, despite being a Chanel girl, is often spotted wearing pieces from Khaite. For proof, scroll down, where you’ll find all six of the brands that celebs love to get photographed on the streets in most.

  • Even Celebs Are in Their French-Girl Era—6 Ballet Flat Outfits They’re Repeating

Even Celebs Are in Their French-Girl Era—6 Ballet Flat Outfits They’re Repeating

Sometimes it can seem like certain niche fashion aesthetics are nothing more than passing flights of fancy driven by the internet’s power users. Tomato girl? Mermaidcore? Old money? But when we see a large swath of celebrities tapping into the same common theme, it has a bigger impact. This summer, the A-list crowd seems to share the same mood board. In fact, their recent outfits only confirm their shared style inspiration.

From Kendall Jenner to Katie Holmes, I can’t help but spot the same easy outfit combination on all the best-dressed celebs right now—and it’s oh-so French. It features a delicate midi dress (or full skirt and top) with pretty ballet flats and mimics a favorite we always spot on Parisian women.

Ahead, see the outfit so many celebrities are wearing on repeat this summer, and shop dresses and flats inspired by their looks.

  • Laura Harrier Wore the One Summer Skirt Trend That I Refuse to Ditch Come Fall

Laura Harrier Wore the One Summer Skirt Trend That I Refuse to Ditch Come Fall

There are certain wardrobe items that, no matter how much it pains you to store them away post summer, are seasonal, and sadly, not suitable for year-round use. Flip flops are one of them, as are crochet dresses and most items made of linen. They have their time in the sun (literally) and then get properly stowed throughout fall, winter, and some of spring.

Until recently, white, A-line skirts would’ve met the same fate. Then Prada’s fall/winter 2023 collection came out, showcasing a bevy of styling maneuvers capable of keeping the summer staple alive throughout the colder months. All you need are some neutral knits, a leather blazer, and a pair of equally summery white kitten heels. Now, you’ll have to tear my white skirts from my cold, winter-weather dry hands. Even then, I’ll hold on tight.

I can only imagine that others feel the same, especially loyal fans of the silhouette like Laura Harrier, who posted a slideshow on Instagram on Monday wearing one while sipping a matcha latte outside of an LA cafe. “Fully switched from coffee to matcha, my LA assimilation is complete,” the caption reads. With it, she appropriately kept things pretty summery, wearing a white, cropped tube top, a cord necklace, The Row flip flops, and oval sunglasses. But, with next season’s drop in temperatures, I see no reason why her exact skirt couldn’t be entirely reworked to become a fall mainstay too. Scroll down to see her look and shop all of the white, A-line skirts that I’m considering adding to my wardrobe ahead of autumn.

  • I’m Snagging This $79 Nordstrom Dress to Mimic Laura Harrier’s Easy Errands Look

I’m Snagging This $79 Nordstrom Dress to Mimic Laura Harrier’s Easy Errands Look

Laura Harrier is one of the chicest celebrities in Hollywood, though mimicking her style on a budget is next to impossible. After all, she isSaint Laurent ambassador, and getting those pieces would almost certainly turn the entirety of my financial Google Sheet a bright shade of red. Knowing that, you can imagine my excitement when I was shown photos of the White Men Can’t Jump actress wearing an almost identical dress to one in my Nordstrom shopping cart that only costs $79.

The dress in question was worn by Harrier to a hair appointment in Beverly Hills and is sleeveless, cream-colored, and made of two contrasting fabrics. The top is fitted, with a high, scoop neck design, while the bottom is billowy and lightweight, reaching mid-calf. With it, she added her go-to assortment of chic accessories, including silver bangles, a Saint Laurent shoulder bag, and every fashion girl’s favorite The Row Ginza flip flops. But those weren’t what I thought of immediately. Instead, my mind went straight to her dress’s similarity to Treasure & Bond’s mixed-media dress that I’ve been eyeing for months from Nordstrom.

Available in three colors (one of which is ivory just like Harrier’s) and costing just $79, this is one dress you won’t regret adding into your wardrobe this summer. See how Harrier styled her look and snag this affordable alt while it’s still in stock.

  • These Are the Only 6 Sneakers That Celebrities Are Loyal to Right Now

These Are the Only 6 Sneakers That Celebrities Are Loyal to Right Now

When celebs aren’t stepping out in full glam for an event or attending a red carpet, the outfits we usually spot them in are of the low-key, casual variety. I’m talking about what they wear while heading out to a Pilates class, perusing the farmers market, or walking the dog, and nine times out of 10, these casual outfits feature sneakers. Stars—they’re just like us, right?

Sure, their closets may be filled with luxury designer pieces, but when it comes to their taste in sneakers, our favorite well-dressed celebs don’t like to get fussy with anything fancy. So far in 2023, the most popular celebrity sneakers are coming from the likes of New Balance, Adidas, and Asics, and their favored pairs rarely top $150, which means it’s never been easier to emulate their cool weekend looks.

From the cool “dad” kicks that Hailey Bieber wore three times last week to Olivia Wilde’s comfy Nordstrom pick, we’re diving into six popular celebrity sneakers that our favorite A-listers are wearing nonstop. Continue on to see (and of course, shop) them all.

  • Hailey Bieber Wore the 2023 Micro-Trend That’s Already Going Viral

Hailey Bieber Wore the 2023 Micro-Trend That’s Already Going Viral

Leave it to Hailey Bieber to test-drive the budding next-season trend that our editors can’t stop talking about. The model and entrepreneur is regularly ahead of the trend curve, especially since her partnership with Saint Laurent allows her to be one of the first to pluck looks from the most recent runway. And that’s exactly what Bieber did recently while attending an event for Tiffany & Co. in Miami during Art Basel. She stepped out in a Saint Laurent minidress that featured a floral appliqué detail, which hits on a rising “pretty” trend we’ve already covered: rosettes.

We spotted these 3D floral details across the spring/summer 2023 collections in varying iterations, like the floral-adorned bags at Prada, the organza chokers at Mirror Palais, and, of course, the rose-embellished dresses at Saint Laurent. We’ve even started to spot a number of rosette moments on Instagram, but until this Bieber ensemble, we had yet to see celebrities interpret the look.

Ahead, see how Bieber styled the budding floral trend and shop our picks for the look. Then, keep scrolling to see more noteworthy celebrity looks from the star-studded Art Basel events.
